summary: nagi loves when you get a new set of nails. especially if you get them longer than your natural nails. why? 'cause head scratches after getting a new set of nails are the best.

"baby, i'm going out."

nagi lifts his head from his phone screen just barely so that he can glance at you and avoid having his character die. "where?"

"i have an appointment with my nail tech, i shouldn't be out that long." you move things around in your bag a bit, looking for your keys.

nagi shuffles off the couch, "i wanna come."

you find your keys and look up, "are you sure? you won't really have anything to do. i'm just getting my nails done and coming back."

"wanna be with you anyway," your boyfriend slinks behind you, dropping his chin on your shoulder and wrapping his arm around your waist.

you giggle when his breath tickles your neck, "alright, fine. but don't complain about how bored you are when you're sitting there for like an hour."

"'m not, just wanna watch and be with you."

and that's exactly what nagi does. from the moment you step in and greet your usual tech to the moment she starts filing away at your nails. he insisted on sitting next to you rather than sitting and waiting by the door.

"doesn't that hurt?" nagi mumbles, watching your nail tech file away at your nails at what looks like a painful speed.

when you assure him it doesn't he shrugs and pulls his phone out to keep himself busy. when he tires of that he listens to you and your nail tech exchange idle gossip here and there.

"–and this is sei," at the sound of his name nagi perks up a bit, paying more attention to the conversation.

your nail tech hums in interest, "oh? you mean the infamous nagi seishiro? the boyfriend you never keep quiet about?"

you giggle and glance at said boyfriend, "mhm, he wanted to come with me this time."

"looks like he's as clingy as you said he was," your nail tech jokes, starting to apply gel to your nails.

nagi pouts and you place your free hand on his thigh, "just jokes, sei."

he huffs and pulls his phone back out, counting down the minutes until he can get you back home and in his arms.

nagi counted 47 minutes before he could have you in bed, lying on your back with him on your chest. (47 minutes too long if you ask him.)

"do you like them?" you show nagi your new set and he nods against your shoulder, telling you the colors suit you.

absentmindedly, your hand finds its way into nagi's hair, you run your fingers through it and scratch his scalp.

"hmm," you stop when you hear nagi sigh with all the breath in his lungs.

automatically he lifts his head from your chest, "why'd you stop?" you look perplexed so nagi takes your hand and places it back on his head, "feels good, so don't stop okay?"

a soft smile pulls at your lips, "sei, you're not mad that i talked about you to the nail tech, right?"

nagi hums, "i won't be mad if you keep cuddling me and scratching my head."

your smile widens, "okay."

"and better you talk about me than another guy." nagi mumbles, eyes struggling to stay open.

you notice his battle against slumber and amusement falls on your features, "you like getting your head scratched that much, baby?"

"mhmm, keep the nails forever."

you giggle, "it doesn't work like that, sei. they only last a few weeks."

"then when these come off, i'll pay for new ones." nagi promises before his breath evens out and you see his eyes finally close.

Nagi brought his hand up to this mouth as he yawned loudly. A slight stumble in his step as he walked with you to the bus stop.

“Wow, it’s already 5pm?” You exclaimed as you looked down at the numbers on your lock screen. You glanced up at your boyfriend as he rubbed his eyes with his knuckle. You frowned.

“We don’t have to study that late again if you don’t want to,” You suggested lightly and came to a stop along with the other students waiting on the bus.

“Mmh…” Nagi hummed softly like he was thinking about it, but he barely even heard what you said. And in front of the others waiting on the bus, Nagi stumbled into your arms. He rested his chin on your shoulder and hung his arms loosely around your waist.

You cleared your throat as you awkwardly avoided the eyes of the other students that watched as your giant lover leaned into your smaller frame. And Nagi? He couldn’t care less about what others saw. He was sleepy and you were warm as always, so of course he wanted to be close.

When the bus finally came, you untangled yourself from Nagi’s hold and gently pulled him along with you.

“Come on, Sei. It looks pretty full already.” You mumbled nervously. You didn’t want to have to wait for the next bus. You had to get your sleepy boyfriend in bed or he’d start asking to get on your back.

Stepping up into the bus with Nagi behind you, the bus was packed with other students who stayed to study plus business men and women who had just gotten off. It was getting late, of course the bus would be full of angry, tired people who had been working all day. Meaning you had to practically shove your way through the doors to make room for you and Nagi.

The bus started moving while you were still reaching for the handle above your head, causing you to accidentally bump into the back of one of the business men in front of you.

“O-oh, I’m sorry!” You quickly apologized.

He immediately swished around with anger etched into his face. He looked almost cartoonishly angry with the coffee stain on the front of his shirt.

“Hey! Do you mind-“ The man loudly exclaimed in the quiet bus as he began to reach out to grab you.

A quick hand shot out and yanked you back into a familiar chest before the stranger could lay a finger on you.

“Watch it.” Nagi’s stern voice rumbled as he protectively pressed you into his chest. His sharp eyes watched as the man lowered his arm at the sight of his 6’3” frame. He turned back around as curses silently left his lips.

You let out the breath you were unconsciously holding, heart suddenly beating out of your chest. Was he planning on punching you for bumping into him or something? Regardless, your body relaxed in the strong hold of your lover. You turned around and looked up at him with an embarrassed look as you realized others had seen the entire interaction. He looked back with furrowed brows and dissatisfaction written all over his face. His fist gripped tighter around the same handle you originally reached for.

“Stupid,” He mumbled under his breath and glared at the back of the man’s head as he gripped your hip with his large hand.

Almost all drowsiness had left Nagi. His eyes were dark and low as his head perked up over the others while keeping you close with a firm hand, completely opposite of the loose hold he had on you earlier at the bus stop.

You slumped with a sigh and leaned yourself into his chest, fingers holding onto his jacket for support as the bus bumped along the road.

Later, when you pulled back the covers of the bed to join your half asleep boyfriend, you sighed again.

“I’m sorry you had to barge in like that on the bus,” You began to apologize for being a bother, when he cut you off.

“It’s fine…” Nagi hummed and reached out with his arms open for you. “I wasn’t going to let him touch you anyway.” He admitted as he pulled you against his chest once more. “Plus, he really didn’t stand a chance.” He mumbled with slight sarcasm, but you knew it wasn’t really sarcasm.

Even like this, warm in bed as your big puppy boyfriend held you like a pillow, through his hoodie, you could feel the outline of hard, lean muscles. It amazed you how even with such soft and sleepy lover, Nagi could pose himself as a threat if it meant protecting you.

His lips pressed gently onto your temple. “Mn… just forget about him, sleep with me now.” Pulling you even closer, his arms wrapped firmly around your body, almost like a protective barrier from anyone and everyone.

It didn’t matter how exhausted or tired he was, he was willing to prioritize your safety no matter what. Even if it meant bruised knuckles or a bloody nose, seeing you look up at him with bashful eyes and fingers gripping his shirt was more than enough to have him standing up to anyone.

You always woke up before Nagi. There was never a time you could recall him waking up before you. And if that were to even happen, you were convinced that was the day the world ends.

Your sloth of a boyfriend was sprawled again the bed, his right hand finding a comfy place on the pillow next to him where your head used to be.

You admired his hair that was pointing in every possible direction, his mouth with was hanging open, and his soft snoring. But last of all, you ogled his back muscles as he shifted in his sleep, causing the sheets to fall down to around his waist.

You smiled and sprayed some perfume around your body before attempting to leave the room.

But suddenly, you felt a hand grab onto your wrist as Nagi mumbled in his barely awake state.

The smell of your perfume woke him up. You weren’t aware of this but he was weak to the fragrance.

He rubbed his eye like a child whose parents just woke him up for his first day of school and looked up at you with half-lidded eyes, tying to blink away his sleep.

“You’re so cute Sei!”, you squealed as he he dragged you back to him.

You straddled him but on your knees and squished his cheeks in your palms.

“You were about to leave without kisses weren’t you”, he pouted.

“Guilty..”, you laughed sheepishly. “But I just got done with my makeup, your kisses will mess it up”. You hummed as you thought of an alternate solution. “Pick anywhere else to kiss me besides my face”.

Nagi gave it some thought before he scanned your body and rested his hand on your chest aka his number one place to sleep. “Here. It’s my favourite napping spot”.

He kissed the spot where the valley between your breasts started and hugged you around your stomach.

“Come back quickly, I might die. And dying’s a hassle”.
