I am vending at a gaming/anime/fandom convention in Nov. and I have to create a bunch of sticker designs for the event!! I need to make sure I can order them in time T-T

I'm trying to do a play on "God's Favorite" for BG3; the gold color on Shar's will be gold foil hot stamped and the white on Selune's will all be silver foil hot stamped. I'm trying to think of others to do? I'm thinking of Vlaakith and maybe Mizora and Raphel?

I am doing a bunch of Sanrio characters in metal logos, I have Cinnamoroll, Keroppi, and Pochacco on my to-do list. They'll all have a glitter finish on top when they are printed!

Out of curiosity would you be willing to sell pdfs of your patterns for the clothes you sell? I love how you have them made and cut but have some ideas on fabrics I have at home for personal use. I’m always looking for plus sized garment projects. Thank you for your time! You have a beautiful product!

Thank you!! I don't have any plans to sell things like that. One issue is that most of my designs aren't repeating patterns and wouldn't work as something to be printed on fabric from a pdf. Outside of creepy eyes, vampire night, the plaids, heart/cat polka dots, and wizard/mage/sorcerer, everything else is designed and printed on a curve specific to each skirt (and size of skirt). So you can't just print it on a bolt of fabric (same reason I'm going to have many issues and need to design differently for natural fiber fabrics eventually.) And then to be totally honest, the real biggest issue is that I just don't want to deal with it.. I'd rather not invite all the problems that'd come along with selling patterns/designs, for likely veryyy little return. EDIT: I just realized I think I interpreted this wrong and you mean you want pdfs of the skirt pattern pieces! Not the skirt artwork patterns. That's still a no tho, I have templates from my manu rather than like printable/cut-out-able pattern pieces. But minis, skaters, and midis are all essentially just circle skirts, maxis are half-ish circles. There's already gotta be a lot of similar skirt patterns out there!

Do you sell your pottery anywhere?

Just through the shop of the community arts center I make/work/teach at! Right now it looks like my tumblers and a mug are still there, but I'm not completely sure since the website has been wonky lately. I guess?? They ship? I've only ever bought items in person from there, but you could ask if you're interested!

Buckle up.

Let’s start out with some photos of genuine malachite!

Here are the easiest characteristics to look for in real malachite:

Lots of different greens, but NEVER black. You can get some pretty dark shades of green, but you don’t see pure black on real malachite.

Banding in organic shapes! Swirls, waves, rings and stripes are seen throughout the stone.

Now let’s look at some of the worst cases of fake malachite

Compare the characteristics here to the real malachite

There’s maybe three different greens at max, and a LOT of black.

The banding is very uniform. The photo on the far right has a few rings, but even then the rest of the stone looks like a goddamn zebra

Suuuper often you’ll see that ugly fake stuff being sold as genuine. Let’s take a look at a few more examples!

There’s a few other ways to tell if a malachite is real, but they aren’t something that you can determine by looks alone.

Real malachite:

Cold to the touch for a bit! I have trouble with the touch test because my hands are super cold all the time tho lmao

Dense/heavy, due to its copper content

Has a green streak when a streak test is performed on it!

Fake malachite:

Usually won’t be cold to the touch for very long, especially if it’s made of plastic or resin

Very lightweight compared to the real deal, again due to commonly being made of plastic or resin

Can you even do a scratch test on resin?? I’ve never tried

Now that you know how to tell the difference, go to Michael’s and tell me if their malachite beads are real I’ll give you a hint, they aren’t
