• So for starters.. it's well known that Barbatos and Solomon don't have the best relationship going on (Based on Nightbringer, so I assume they are still strained in OM) but I suppose we can make it work as enemies to lovers.

• At first Barbatos does everything and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING to try and avoid Solomon, to which he of course doesn't seem particularly happy. Though due to the pact Solomon has with Barbatos the sorcerer can use the demon to his advantage.

• The first time they are forced to share a talk is when Diavolo invited Solomon over at the Demon Lord's castle to discuss some important matters. When Solomon arrived he was welcomed by Barbatos (Certainly not warmly) and the demon led the sorcerer to the meeting room. Suddenly Barbatos gets an unexpected call from Diavolo, saying that he'll be late to the meeting and he'd do well to inform Solomon. Barbatos sighs and when the prince hangs up the phone he looks over at the human.

-You are free to go, if you must. The Young Lord is currently busy so the meeting shall be rescheduled for a later hour.

-I'll wait here. I don't mind. –Solomon speaks firmly and doesn't move from his seat. Barbatos glares over at Solomon and moves his gaze away after a minute.

-So, Barbatos. How have you been doing? -The sorcerer questions, trying to engage in a conversation.

-Kindly, Solomon, that's none of your concern. –Barbatos answers and looks over at his watch to check the time.

-I'm just asking. I'm not doing any harm. –Solomon states and moves his piercing gaze towards the demon who was already glaring at him.

-Fine, if you insist. I've been doing particularly great, of course when you are not around. As for when you are... Hm.. I won't offend you, Solomon. –Barbatos speaks in a firm tone.

-No need to be so negative, Barbatos. –Solomon responds and that's when suddenly Diavolo enters the room.

-I'm sorry for being late but I had some matters to attend to. I'm glad you are already here, Solomon. That means we can start right away. – The demon prince states and the meeting begins. Solomon and Barbatos don't talk afterwards.

• As time goes by Solomon does notice that Barbatos doesn't seem comfortable when he is around so he decides to take action. The sorcerer has put his hands on a rare variety of human world tea a few months ago so he decides to send it over to Barbatos as a gift.

• Barbatos won't admit it but he was thrilled to see Solomon's gift and prepare the Young Master's afternoon tea with it. (He tastes it to see whether it's poisoned or not so he could give it to Diavolo safely)

• Solomon continues to send the demon different stuff he knows he is interested in for the next few weeks before Barbatos arrives at his doorstep to thank him. He didn't seem as tense around the sorcerer as he did before.

• The sorcerer was smug about the fact that his plan worked. That he managed to make Barbatos hate him a little less. While Barbatos was actually questioning why he felt less hate towards the human sorcerer just from a few gifts.

• One time the demon and the sorcerer met over at a café by accident but decided to take the opportunity and talk over a cup of coffee. Solomon manages to make Barbatos say why he dislikes him so much and when he does Solomon was shocked at how dumb the reason was. He reassured the demon that things weren't exactly how he thought they were and Barbatos doesn't have a reason not to trust him. Before leaving the café Barbatos apologises to Solomon and says they can be friends.

-It's time for me to leave, Barbatos. But I'm glad we had this talk. –Solomon clears his throat and stands up from his seat and Barbatos follows. The demon walks over to the human and takes one of his hands, bringing it up to his lips and gently placing a kiss to his knuckles.

-I'm sorry for the wrong assumptions, Solomon. Please accept my apology. I would appreciate it if we could continue being friends.

-Of course, Barbatos. Misunderstandings happen. There is no need to apologise. And yes. I would like it if we could be friends as well.

• From that day onward things between those two warm up and they find out that they have similar interests. They go out to hang out from time to time when Barbatos has free time and overtime something changes...

• Both begin feeling slightly different... To say the least. It's not just regular friendship anymore. Things change. They get closer. When they are together they share more intimate and personal conversations and the two of them seem to feel the need to hang out more often.

• One time their hands brushed accidentally and both of them felt their heart skip. That's when they knew. It was.. attraction.

• Barbatos takes matters into hands and decides to tell Solomon about how he feels. Surprisingly for him though he finds out the sorcerer feels the same. And they come to the conclusion that it's best if they explore it further.

•Their first kiss was a few weeks up to a month after Barbatos' confession. Solomon had invited the demon over at his place and during their conversation Solomon couldn't resist anymore. Barbatos was sitting next to him and that was making it harder for Solomon. He placed his hand on the demon's jaw and brought their faces together. Their lips met for the first time in a gentle but lingering kiss. After they pull away Barbatos looks over at Solomon with a faint redness in his cheeks and whispers.

-I've been waiting for this to happen..

•After the day of the first kiss Solomon and Barbatos decide to become lovers. Barbatos insisted on taking things slow and after a week or two into the relationship he mentions that to Diavolo. When he hears that he's so happy that he was about to throw a whole event in the Devildom to celebrate the two lovers. Barbatos manages to stop him from doing so since he wants his relationship to be more private.

•Diavolo loosens his workload over Barbatos so he could have more free time to spend with his partner. (Barbatos hesitated at first but gave in)

•Diavolo makes sure to share the news about the couple with the angels and the brothers secretly from Barbatos.

•As for the couple, they are really happy together. Neither of them expected for this to happen but they don't regret it a single bit.

•Their relationship is beautiful. Romantic dates, warm embraces, slow and passionate kisses which often lead to passionate love making and overall pure joy.

• As for who dominates in bed I would say that is Solomon. (He is the master in the relationship from the beginning after all)

• Barbatos often helps Solomon with his experiments so in a matter of months Solomon's popularity shines like never before. He is the most wise and successful sorcerer ever known.

Why do you only seem to interact with @dragvnsovl?

//I didn't think I'd have to explain my writing habits, or my day to day, or my relationship with Tater, but since you asked, let's get a few things straight.

First and foremost, anon... Tater and I have a relationship together. We're what we've both described as platonic soulmates, found siblings, life partners, lifelong companions, etc. Just to make it clear so it's not misinterpreted, it's not a couple. Think of two best friends that just find love and companionship in each other's company. We'll get back to this.

Secondly, since it seems like I exclusively write with her, here's how my day-to-day looks. I wake up at 3 AM, get a workout in for an hour, and get ready to go to work at 6 AM. Keep in mind, anon, I still have to eat breakfast, clean up, and focus on IRL things too. I'm only human. I work in a quota-based occupation, where my work output matters, and helps me keep this job. So I don't really put time aside for RP'ing while I'm making my living, and I'm sure other people here would understand that. I do this from 6 AM to 12 PM, and come right home immediately after. By the time I'm home, Tater has replied to our threads, which we have a routine for, in replying to our threads daily, because, as mentioned, we have our close relationship and it's just part of us.

By the time we've reached post-reply in the timeline of my day, depending on the length of our threads and depth, it'll be 1 or 2 PM. By then, I'll have been up for nearly 11 hours, and while other people may have tougher jobs, not sleep the best, have other reasons for inactivity, you asked me your question. Once I'm home, and I reply to Tater like she and I do together everyday, I may not have other replies to get to from other people I'm writing with at the time.

In the event that I do, such as today, long-form replies like my current one with Tater takes a lot of time and focus, and I just feel like settling down for my afternoon, and doing anything else that I find beneficial. Like today, I just started my shoulder workout that I didn't do this morning, right when you sent me this ask. And since I'm a schedule oriented person, I'll be eating within an hour of finishing said workout, because I sleep at 8-9 PM, and repeat my routine just about daily, and don't really eat after 6 PM, just so we cover all these bases and you don't ask anymore questions that I'd have to take the time to answer later. Congrats, you're making someone explain their daily life because of an assumption.

Now here's the part where I voice my appreciation for other people that I am interacting with, because it's unfair that you leave them out of your observation. I have threads ongoing with, as far as memory serves and recent replies that have put the ball in my court... @dragonballnewstar, @musecheerios, @the27percent... And if I've forgotten anyone else, they know that they can bump me for it at their leisure.

Now, do you remember that part of this response where I mentioned Tater and I having our wonderful relationship? Well, you see, with that, comes familiarity. Comfort. A bond that makes interacting seamless and natural, since a relationship, at its best, is two people putting in equal effort for each other, and while you chose to mention her in this, I too have every right to gush a little and give her my appreciation. We alternate who sends the starters, the memes, the asks, and we share what we want to write together. She has always given so much effort and care for our relationship, and I always hope I do the same for her. Gushing aside, let's continue.

In comparison to most others, I am a stranger. A man who writes with them, as his own created characters and canon fixations. I'll admit it, I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to making a first move, with new people, or initiating something. Couple that with my day-to-day schedule, and I just get so lost in relaxing after work, that I don't reblog memes for others to use to send something to me. When I do, the effort isn't given as much as you seem to expect it to be? Should it be greater?

Why?

Because I'm more often than not, too nervous to initiate something myself with anyone, so why should they feel obligated to do the same for me?

And I'm okay with that, because of all the reasons stated above! I could do better, and want to, truly! But the door is always open if others wish to start something, because I want to interact with more people, but understand that they have lives too, and might be just as nervous as I am!

TL;DR: Tater's my soulmate, partner, companion, found sibling. We love each other, we're very close. I live on a schedule of my own design, and have a demanding job. I took his arm, and he took my world. Gods, it was supposed to just be a friendly 'haha' thing, not... not this. It was a friends' outing to a bar, not a date, not even that awkward prelude date to a first real date. Out mutuals, waiting for two unwitting lovebirds to develop a single brain cell, would twist their heads sideways trying to figure out how the burning in my chest could come after what was, no subtext, just hanging out.

Maybe that's what made it good, though?

My ears and tail twitch as I keep my hold on him, sepia underscoring his steely sky in the crude painting we're drafting. Maybe at first I was trying to think of how to keep my nails from digging into his skin, but at this stage, I'm thinking too much about every individual ridge of my thumbprints are painting a tiny, indecipherable message onto his body. I measure the exact distance friends can keep their bodies from one another before one needs to back down, but I can't keep the count. Every time we brush close to one another, it scrambles any semblance of math from me, sends me careening from a well-educated scholar into the more primitive thoughts drifting downwards.

I wish I could see his eyes from down here. For starters, trying to look up and stare, see his thoughts reflected in that tiny dance people do with their gazes, would be too much. But a metal visor prevents even that invasion. I keep my grip on him from tightening, my fingers tense from their want to rip apart that mask, throw him to the ground, and stare into his soul until I've drank my fill. And then once I've taken that barrier down, well, what's to stop me from stripping oth-.

My cheeks burn. Does he feel it? I try to think of facts, anything really, to bind me back to reality. The Goblet streets are lit only by the evening sky and sporadic streetlamp. Sounds beyond our footfalls drift in from last words loud enough to drift from homes. Maybe there's an argument I can zero in on, something to cut the fog of the heart and let the shield of cynicism make its stand.

Hello there! It's your Rebelcaptain Secret Santa :) Hope you had a wonderfull week and that you have something great planned for the weekend. I'm probably around 1/3 into writing your gift, and I was just wondering: is there anything you absolutely DON'T want to see, any tropes that give you the ick, any characters you avoid? Also, on a completely different note: if you were to choose your top 3 favourite rebelcaptain fics, what would those be?

Oh hello!!! It's been a busy work week but that means money sooo we're going with it lol.

As for anything I don't want to see, I don't think there's anything?? I feel like my prompts were pretty vanilla so I can't imagine anything particularly shocking or appalling that you could do that would make me not want to read something. (And I love angst, so anything darker there is always encouraged rather than discouraged lmaooo)

Now asking me for my favorite fics on the other hand...I'm notorious for making detailed fic rec lists. That's dangerous.

For now, I'll do 3 all time favorites of MANY more, and 3 more recent reads (though some of them are older, because I'm back in the tag rn)

cassian andor nonsense + assorted nonsense timestamps by theputterer

I love this series. It's Cassian centric at first, and then it's about their relationship in the context of their pasts and I am just!!! Overflowed with love for it all of the time. I binged it when I first read it, and there are some oneshots in the verse that I come back to and re-read when I'm in a mood. (Blood Brothers, where Jyn gets to meet Cassian's Imperial brother, is a weird favorite, but I think I've re-read it like 4 times. I love that sort of 3rd person POV on a ship I just DO.)

only fools rush in by andromeda3116

I re-read this fic almost every holiday season, that's how much I love it. Fake dating trope, holiday vibes, bickering but well-meaning family that learns to come together. It's catnip to me.

Color My Cheeks by Copper_Nails (Her_Madjesty)

Another older but beloved favorite that I've re-read multiple times. One of the first fics I ever read in the fandom, and I think one of the first sex pollen fics I'd ever read. It's not just trope-y sexy fun, but the fact that it goes into the AFTER of a sex pollen event and what that means for them emotionally feels so unique and interesting. Now I'm thinking about re-reading it again. Sigh.

Lost and Found by mosylu

As of today, just completed, and WOW what a journey! I left rambling, crazy comments on this fic almost every week for good reason. It was sweet, it was angsty, it was just!!!! Amazing. I'm probably going to come back to this one again down the road for sure.

Delivery Week by SleepyKalena

I've read quite a few Film/Production based fanfics over the years, but this one is for us post girlies!!! An edit bay meet-cute, bitching about color correcting/matching--truly this fic has it all and feels tailor-made to me as an editor, even if it's at an animation studio rather than live action.

spy games by skitzofreak

I'm basically reading through all of their star wars fics right now, so highly highly recommend this author as a whole. (The fact that I've apparently left kudos on some of them before and don't remember it at all is...funny.) This one is just a great, cute starter where Cassian and Jyn have an entire silent conversation in front of a bunch of recruits. So good.

This is the first quest for any sylvari who has aligned themself with the Spirit of Rain during CC. As a reminder, your character awakes at the base of the Pinefather, and is greeted by your season's esus. The following cinematic happens after you have loaded into Ochtachtoft: Esus: Newborn! At last. I was starting to think you might sleep the whole day away under Father's branches! PC: My apologies, sibling. This is my first time waking up. I'm still new to it. Esus: So you are. My name is (PC's season's esus). I am the esus of (PC's season). Welcome to the world, young one. PC: Thank you. It is a wonder, isn't it? Esus: Indeed, it is. Pinefather's roots truly took hold in a beautiful spot. PC: I must ask you a question, though. The Spirit of Rain has made a request of me. Esus: Is this true? How remarkable. What was asked of you? PC: Rain told me that someone named Svanir has sons, and those sons have poisoned a spring near here that we use. Esus: I see. I will warn you that these Sons of Svanir are dangerous, and should be approached with caution. Your elder sister Maeve usually hunts near there, and is familiar with this group. You should find her and speak with her before you go to the spring, to make sure it is safe. PC: I will. Thank you, esus. Esus: Of course, newborn. We are family. We aid our own. Open World Upon leaving Ochtachtoft, you enter the Verdant Haven and have a quest marker directing you north towards Garrdha Linn. At Garrdha Linn, you find the spring: its surface is murky between brown and black, and it smells unsafe. After your character investigates the spring, there's sounds of a fight behind you. Another sylvari, a hunter, is fighting a Son of Svanir. Your character jumps in to help and the enemy is quickly defeated, which leads to the hunter speaking to your character. Hunter: Tassels and cones! You must be newly dropped to wander out here by yourself without paying attention to your surroundings like that! Did you fall off the tree this morning or just on your head? PC: Erm... actually, I did. Come off the tree this morning, I mean. Hunter: Strip my bark! I'm Maeve, Winterborn. What's your name then? PC: I'm (character name). The Spirit of Rain told me that this spring was poisoned by something called the Sons of Svanir, and it wants me to fix the spring and to stop them from doing it again. Maeve: Spirit-picked, eh? Not many of us get the honor of that. Maeve: First thing you need to know is this is a Son of Svanir. They aren't the sons of one person: they're norn. They pledged themselves to a wicked spirit. PC: Like Isolation? Maeve: Something like that. They're seeking power and glory from it, and it changes them so it has an army. Now follow me. They have a camp near here. PC: What is us going to their camp going to do? Maeve: Well for starters, they're out hunting for food right now. So we get to sabotage it. PC: Isn't that... impolite? Maeve: Not when they're trying to poison our water, sprout. Now come on. You follow Maeve to the east, where you find a Sons of Svanir camp that is currently unoccupied. You and Maeve have five minutes to knock down the tents and put Maeve's Special Powder into the fire pit before anyone will return and initiate a fight. Cinematic: Maeve: Well sprout, you're smarter than you seemed! Now, there's a few things we'll need to restore the spring to its glory. I'll need to talk to some folk, and I'll send you a letter as soon as I know what's needed to reverse what those Svanir did. PC: All right. I wish you luck in your research, Maeve. Maeve: Thanks, sprout. Take care. At the end of the cinematic, there is an explosion: someone at the camp has found out about Maeve's Special Powder.

this song is such a surprise for me and to be honest i hadn't even thought that hybe could make another good song for any other artists than newjeans /pretty srs. it has a bit of txt's thursday's child 80's vibe to it. it definitely makes much more sense than what the walmart twilight concept enhypen is doing /nm /criticism (believe me, i'm still stuck in the tamed-dashed era. also bring back the composer who makes given-taken pls /gen) i also want to give my two cents and say that i like the korean version better. i think this song was meant to be sung in korean before japanese imo

what is 2023 lissie without radiohead? from creating and planning a 20-part anthology series based of their discography to buying my favorite albums of theirs on vinyl (which are the two albums that i plaster above), they've climbed up my ranks of favorite artists of all time. i choose jigsaw specifically because i rekindle my love of playing bass from that song and climbing up the walls because of the seonghwa fic i'm planning (it is exceptionally one of the most underappreciated songs in ok computer...)

they are the children of f(x) i'm telling you!!!!!!!!! just like how i consider the boyz as the children of exo and txt as the children of shinee. they are the siblings of 2016-2019 loona and gwsn. they are the product of sm ent's music prodigy sibling and i love them for that. they also are the junior of brown eyed girls, aka one of the most iconic kpop 2nd gen gg and the one that releases bops such as brave new world, kill bill, sign, and abracadabra! i love their discography so much and they have the potential to have one of the best kpop discographies in the industry alongside red velvet. i'll gatekeep them until the end along with onf because only people with taste can enjoy their songs /lh /gen aaaaaaaaaaa

the unit that could be if modhaus don't make such a strict rule because they disbanded for not having 100k album sold (womp womp) generation is such a high-quality debut track from a small company and dimension having their own versions within the subunits is a great concept. i mean, jaden jeong is the head of the 2016-2019 loona sound and i gotta have to appreciate him for picking good tracks man. their songs are also one of the bases of sound for my oc kpop group sound in @interactivemochi. also a discussion starter question: will modhaus actually be able to do the multi-unit many-member group that sm ent wanted with nct? i actually think they will because indie labels are more experimental than the big corporate ones (aka nct will be great with their infinite concept if they're committed and take those risks) just look at jaden jeong's print on onlyoneof and loona, they're pretty small but their fans are loyal af. yet, i'm merely just a casual listener of triples because they play around with nfts (and i am a biz student who doesn't like crypto and nft)

depeche mode and other new wave and 80s experimental musicians

when you have a gen z kid who likes older songs rather than new ones, they have to listen to new wave and synth-pop, specifically depeche mode. people usually associate them with post-punk along with talking heads, joy division, new order, kate bush etc and i can definitely agree. new wave is one of my favorite genres because of how experimental they are and it is exactly what depeche mode is doing + i love the resurgence of old brit bands like the shoegaze bands that includes slowdive, mbv, and siouxsie and the banshees
