The Ultimate Orange Muffins

Hello everyone! So, previously, there has been some discussion on this blog about trying out several different orange muffin recipes on the quest to find the best Art Heist, Baby! James (and Regulus Black approved) Orange Muffin™️ ever made. I am now ready to begin this journey and will document my research and discoveries along the way! Please feel free to follow along on this orange muffin journey!

Starting Information:

I will be working my way through orange muffin recipes at least once a month (maybe twice if I can manage and have people to pawn muffins off on! We will see!)

The goal is to try at least 10 different iterations of orange muffins which i will rank (1-5) on skill (how easy is it to make, how many/what types of ingredients/ special tools you need, how long it takes), orange and overall flavor (arbitrary but it's my muffin bracket so idc!), and texture (consistency, moisture, idk, like, crumble factor)

After giving each recipe an overall score, the top scoring muffin will be crowned The Art Heist, Baby! Orange Muffin (James' version).

All that being said...Here is the first recipe and rank for September's bake! ✨

Chai Orange Muffins!

Ingredients: 🍊 3/4 cup Oil 🍊 1 cup Sugar 🍊 2 Eggs 🍊 1 tsp. Vanilla 🍊 1/3 cup Chai tea latte concentrate (store bought or make your own!) 🍊 1 and 1/2 cups Flour 🍊 1 tsp. Salt 🍊 1 tsp. Baking soda 🍊 2 Tbsp. Orange zest, grated

Directions: Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 12 muffin cups with paper liners. Combine oil, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and Chai Concentrate. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, salt, baking soda and orange zest. Blend in the oil mixture and stir lightly. Pour into muffin cups. Bake for 15 to 25 minutes. Serves 12.

Extra: I also made a chai glaze to put on top of the muffins which is optional but here is the recipe for that as well!

🍊 1 cup of powdered sugar 🍊 2 tbsp of chai concentrate 🍊 1 tsp of vanilla 🍊 1 tsp of cinnamon

Directions: Stir until glaze consistency and add more chai concentrate as needed! Wait till muffins are cooled to add the glaze.

Ranking:

Skill: 4 (Super easy to make! Had all of the ingredients at home to make besides the chai concentrate! Just needed a bowl, a fork and a muffin tin really. Kinda hard to nail down a set bake time though. The recipe said 10-15 minutes mine needed like 25.) Flavor: 4.5 (The chai is so wonderful and it doesn't overpower the orange flavor. Muffins are good with or without the glaze. Can definitely taste the orange!) Texture: 4 (So yum. Not dry! bUT some cooked a little unevenly (that's on me ik but shush). Also they don't really have a good muffin top. They're more flat like a cupcake so I deducted some points for the aesthetic. Sorry!) FINAL RANKING: 4.2/5

Final Thoughts: The muffins are good! Almost more of a dessert muffin because they are very sweet! But they're a strong contender for my favorite already because I love chai, and the muffins made my entire house smell so lovely. A slay! (Would Regulus be able to stack several of these on his plate and save them for later though??? Kinda doubt it. So we continue on!) ✨ Tune in next time for my "Bakery Style Orange Muffin" Bake! "Baby, can you taste this?" Carmy calls to you who's sitting at your usual spot on the kitchen counter, and he's already getting you a spoonful of a new soup recipe he's been working on. He blows gently on it as he makes his way over to you skillfully-- years of having a partner taste your food will do that to a man.

"And if I say no?" Slips off your tongue with a grin, and your lovers eyes flash to yours for a moment before they roll, drawing a brief spell of laughter from the both of you. "What is it, Carmy?"

"Remember that beef bone broth I was making the other day? Wanted to try stracciatella with that, wanna know what you think." He says, finally bringing the now cooled spoon to your lips. The moment the soup hits your tongue, you can't help but smile and shut your eyes. While you swallow, Carmy watches you patiently, awaiting the moment of truth.

And he has just the answer he's looking for as he watches your eyes shut, and you do that little dance he adores when you love what you're eating. Your head bops and your hips sway gently on the counter for a moment, a moment of which he always feels is too short lived.

"S'good?" He asks as your eyes flutter open and the bopping of your head changes into a nod, and your hips do more of a bounce than a sway.

"So good." Carmy knows that, he could tell from the moment you did your little dance-- but it always makes him feel good to hear you say it aloud. "Please tell me you made enough for the week."

"More than enough, sweetheart." Carmen says with a gentle kiss to your lips that you can't help but smile against. And he can't help but do the same as your hips that he holds in his hands tenderly begin to sway against his palms.

I had so much fun writing this! I'm working on the other requests as well, but PLEASE feel free to send in asks! Though they’ll probably be a little slow coming because I’m back in school for the semester. But a drabble is easier to write than fics, so I can get through those much faster :)

Gloomy clouds rolled over the sky causing the room to darken. Rain droplets silently hits the windowpanes. Both of you were staying inside, laying on the couch, backs against the arm rests. You were scrolling through your phone and found yourself in the cooking world. Finding a coffee flavored cake recipe and looking at the simple directions you look over to your handsome boyfriend. He looked more delicious than any dessert with his dark hair framing his sculpted face and how hot he looked in his black rim glasses. You bite your lip admiring his silver ringed fingers holding the book he was reading.

Tae gets a feeling of his girlfriend staring so he lifts his eyes off the book. "What?"

"Terry I found something we can do" you say with a big grin.

And there you two were standing in the kitchen reading the instructions. Flour puffing up in the air, you two laugh at the mess you were making. There was no doubt that you had a few flour handprints on your ass now. Pouring the last ingredient, into the batter, the coffee's warm bitter scent fills your senses. You couldn't help yourself you needed a taste.

Tae watches your big smile as you mischievously dug your finger into the batter. His eyes focused on your lips surrounding your fingers and moan at the delicious taste. Tae shifts in his spot gulping at his sinful thoughts that popped into his head. Placing the pan of batter into the hot oven, you turn to start the simple icing. Not paying attention to your boyfriends darkened glare, you grabbed the powered sugar bag and read the recipe.

The man gets closer to you leaning his head over your shoulder watching the ingredients form. He tucks his head into your neck lightly kissing your neck. You giggle at his soft touches "you wanna try?" you say lift the whisk. Taehyun looks up seeing the power sugar now in a liquid state. The icing was creamy, white, slowly dripping off the metal of the whisk, it looked... familiar.

A quick swipe from the man's slender finger, he hold his digit out towards you. Your eyes flicker from him to the icing a smirk increasing on your face. "Why don't you try it?" Taehyun says in a low tone. You stick your tongue out lapping up the icing. Half lidded eyes stare into Tae's dark ones, the icing long gone but you continue to wrap your lips around sucking his long fingers. With a pop, you remove yourself from Tae, looking back at the icing.

"We have plenty of ingredients to make another batch. I want to use this one for something else" You say as your look at the man's body down to his tented trousers.

🏰 I think he would have really missed his family. Especially because of the fact that he was forced to leave them all when he was so little.

🏰 He can get incredibly homesick to the point of not being able to eat or leave his bed unless he’s eventually forced. He was really close to his mother and siblings, and even if he likes his cousins and aunts and uncles in Oldtown, he misses his real family.

🏰 When he’s not homesick, he can usually be seen partaking in hobbies such as racing horses with his companions in Oldtown, or trying to train Tessarion into doing tricks in the air.

🏰 He likes to take nighttime rides with Tessarion as much as possible. He uses that time to get away from the politics of his family.

🏰 He takes his training rather seriously. He can usually be spotted in the training yard for hours and hours out of the day until he’s told to leave and eat something. Aemond sends him a lot of letters about his training, and Daeron wants to be like his older brother.

🏰 He collects all of the letters that he gets from back at home and saves them all. He likes to read them all after his dinner. He enjoys his mothers neat handwriting, and giggles at Aegon’s scratchy handwriting.

🏰 In his room, he has several different things that Helaena has made for him. Some of them can be hung on the walls and from the ceiling, while others are pillows with little bugs on them that he hugs each night when sleeping.

Modern…

🧺 Daeron had been on the soccer team at his school for years now. He loves the energy of the game, and he also loves to look over to see his whole family shaking signs of embarrassing pictures of him that say “Go Daeron!!!”

🧺 He has a habit of doubting, or comparing himself to others. But Aegon, who’s about to go pro for soccer, will always get him out of his head. It seems that his elder, and shorter, brother always knows what to do when it comes to helping Daeron feel better.

🧺 This is usually through having the twins force Daeron to play with them, playing a game of soccer in the backyard with Aemond and Aegon, or helping Helaena with her new recipe. He also likes to help his mom garden on the weekends.

🧺 Besides soccer, Daeron loves to garden. There’s something about it that he finds to be incredibly calming. And when he gardens with his mom, it’s even better. The two are usually sporting two beat up ball caps, gloves and arms covered in dirt, and smiles on their faces as music streams from the porch.

🧺 Daeron would never be able to decide what his music taste is. His family is full of music lovers, who also happen to have almost completely different styles of music taste. And being the youngest, he was subjected to all of it growing up. His mom likes classic rock, Aegon likes country, Helaena likes pop and sometimes classical, and Aemond to everyone’s surprise likes rap but also classical.

🧺 Daeron enjoys being able to watch the twins when Aegon and Helaena need a break or a night out. He lets them watch all of their favorite movies and have a sugar overload. His mom isn’t to happy about Daeron letting the twins run around the house with chocolate all over them. But she usually just flicks him behind the ear and takes the twins up for a bath.

🧺 While it’s just Daeron and his mom living at home, it doesn’t mean that the house is ever empty. Aemond with usually stay for a couple days sometimes because he doesn’t want to be alone in his apartment, and Aegon and Helaena are over every single day. The twins love the backyard.

🧺 Daeron, through the teasing of his friends, has not been on a date yet. He’s tried, but the idea of being alone with another person that isn’t his family or friend rather scares him. Don’t get him wrong, he loves meeting new people, but it’s difficult to have a dinner with someone when it’s expected that you’ll be romantically involved somehow afterwards.

🧺 He’s obsessed with reality shows and watches them whenever he can.

🧺 His style is rather hectic when the seasons change. When it’s hot out he’s just trying to survive with shorts, shirts, and hats. But when it’s cold he’s bundled up to the max with sweaters and coats that will keep him warm.

<> He loves to eat. Like all the time. He loves all different kinds of foods and he gets really happy with Helaena will let him taste one of her new recipes.

<> Because of that, he’s a pretty good cook.

<> He begged Alicent to get a cat when he was younger, but then the cat had babies. Alicent and Daeron didn’t want to get rid of them, so the house is just full of cats. They also have one dog that loves the cats.

<> Aemond and Aegon taught him how to drive with Aemond in the front telling him where to turn and Aegon in the back yelling to be careful.

<> He failed his first drivers test and Alicent was the one to teach him how to drive after that. He passed the second time.

Bonus for canon!

<> He loves to find different bugs and tell Helaena all about them. She writes back and tells him about what bug he’s found and how to handle and take care of the creature.

<> Alicent sends him bedtime stories and he reads them before bed each night.

<> He has some trouble expressing how he feels and finding the words he wants, so when trying to express his point, it might take him a while.

<> He wears green all the time, with blues and purples mixed in.

<> He’s very good with kids and he can usually get them to stop crying.

Do you think Robin 'I don't have a strong grasp of social cues' Buckley was relieved that Steve would just tell her like it is? Like when she's babbling while El has a bit of mindflayer in her leg he just calmly tells her that's not helping he doesn't snap at her he understands what's she'd trying to do but can also see how everyone else is reacting and knows it's not what's needed. And Steve 'youre an idiot' Harrington feeling the same that she just explains things without making him feel like an idiot? Like when he's freaking out about the buttons in the elevator and she acknowledges his point that yes they did work previously he has a point about that button they won't work now because they don't have authorisation now from the Russians key card. Do you? Do you think about how much they need each other and just work perfectly together so quickly and how lonely they must've been before

im gonna be real with you lovely anon. i do not give stobin enough of my metal juices, the thought about them are not thunk at the velocity they deserve.

but that changes now bc u r so right.

these examples are so good!! they're so perfect, so meant to be. if i think about how lonely it must have been for them before i might get genuinely sad. so i’m not even gonna go there.

i just think steve would come from a world with a lot of subtext, a lot of public vs private faces and a lot of grinning and barring it. so i feel like the simplicity of being around robin, having it all out on the table; how she feels, what she's thinking, what she likes and doesn't like being so so obvious. i bet its really nice, really freeing for steve. that you can just be, be yourself.

and i think robin would also come from a world with a lot of subtext but subtext she feels like she’s on the outside of, never given the cheat sheet. plus she’s gay so that’s adds a level of anxiety to the subtext she is already struggling with. has someone figured her out? is anyone else like her and she just can’t see it? very stressful. but steve just is, he knows how to navigate people, even if they don’t react to him the same way they used to. he has all the flash cards and he’ll share no problem.

also i think steve is very sensible with a strong moral compass, ultimately hes very kind. and robin is smart but not always people smart, but again she ultimately has a strong sense of self and confidence in her own thoughts and abilities. they’re such a good mix of robins creative thinking and steves linear thinking. one will notice what the other lacks but they’re confident and comfortable enough to voice it in the first place. similar enough but also different enough. they fill in each others gaps. perfect love recipe i think.

and the start! the spark! u put them together in the neutral space of scoops ahoy. they both need to be there, hate being there and look stupid. they’re constantly around each other and have the ability to constantly surprise each other. it’s a bestie recipe made in heaven.

plus they’re both kinda mean when they want to be, much easier to not get offended if ur natural instinct is to be kinda mean back.

but i think platonic love can be a hard one sometimes. so it’s lovely that theres them for representation.

“Hey, Charlie.”

Jungkook looks up from his phone to see the man who must be Charlie waving at you. When his eyes go to you, you’re gently smiling at the man. You don’t look at Jungkook, he assumes you must not realise he’s looking at you.

He goes back to his phone, finishes typing the message before pressing send. There’s a weird feeling in his chest when he slips his phone away and realises the man’s now stood a lot closer.

“I never said thanks for that recipe,” he says, eyes solely on you. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Luke eat so many veggies before.”

Your face lights up at the news. “I’m so happy it helped. I have more if you want them?”

“Yeah, I’d love that. Text them over?”

“Sure.”

“And how’s Zac’s sleeping now? Any better?”

There’s a frown between Jungkook’s eyes as he looks at you. Still focused on the man you don’t see Jungkook’s concern. But that’s what he feels because you’d not told him Zac was struggling to sleep.

“It’s better,” you tell the man. “Still waking up at 5, which is killer.”

“Oh, I remember,” you both share a knowing laugh, something Jungkook can’t join in on.

“I manage to persuade him into my bed for an extra hour most mornings though.”

The man, Charlie nods and then flicks his eyes to Jungkook as if only just realising he’s stood there. You follow his line of sight as if wondering what caused the expression.

“Oh, sorry,” you laugh, Jungkook’s not sure if you’re apologising to him or Charlie. “This is Jungkook.”

“Oh,” Charlie extends a hand that Jungkook grasps in a brief shake. “Does your child go here too?”

Jungkook doesn’t have time to even feel embarrassed let alone respond as you’re giving an awkward laugh on his behalf. Dropping Charlies hand the frown returns to his face as he looks at you.

“Jungkook’s just here to help me with the school run.”

Charlies eyes flash between the two of you before he makes a noise of understanding, his eyes lighting up in the process. “Still to learn the joys of children then?”

“Something like that,” Jungkook tries for the same light tone Charlie uses but it comes out as more of a grumble. He doesn’t miss the confused look you shoot him.

“Well I’ll leave you to it. They’ll be out any minute I’m sure,” he starts to twist to go. “Nice to meet you Jungkook. And Y/N, don’t forget those recipes.”

You barely nod at him, your focus now on Jungkook. The roles reversed, Jungkook is now the one staring off after Charlie, trying to hide his emotions.

It’s not that he’s jealous, at least not in the way people might assume. No, he feels jealous of your shared situation. Charlie can talk to you about something that Jungkook could only pretend to relate to. Because he may have a basic understanding of what it is to have a child but dating you has only made him realise how little he understood. Children are a full-time job, there’s joy there but there’s also so much work and hardship.

He's jealous of Charlie being able to so easily talk to you about it. He’s jealous that you told Charlie about Zac struggling to sleep and yet he had no idea.

He hates that you might be holding things back from him. Hates that you might not want to worry him with things or be protecting him from some of the hardships.

A warm hand slips into his, drawing his attention from the near distance to you.

“Zac’s going to be so excited to see you,” you say softly.

He hates the concern on your face that’s been caused by him. He tries to soften his own features if only to try and lessen your worries. It doesn’t seem to help.

“Charlie’s just another dad. He’s a single parent too and we met at one of the –”

A soft squeeze of your hand is all it takes to get you to stop talking.

“Zac’s struggling to sleep?”

Your shoulders visibly relax in understanding. “He’s better now.”

“But he was struggling?” The questions rhetorical but you still nod your head a little. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“It was before we were serious,” there’s a small pause and then you’re filling the silence. “Plus, it’s nothing. I don’t want to worry you.”

“I know. And you don’t have to tell me everything, but I also want to know everything,” he lifts a hand to your cheek, not caring that you’re stood in a nursery playground as he gently touches your lips with his. “I want to know all the small bits if you want to tell me them.”

hi !!! i saw ur post and the best advice i give you is to get into meal prepping!!! its seriously one of the best things you can do for yourself if you live alone and have to cook every day. theres more than one way to do this too, you can meal prep whole meals by marinating proteins and freezing them to use later in the week, or you can meal prep ingredients by pre-washing veggies and mincing tons of garlic/ginger/etc and storing them to make cooking later way easier!! you'd just need to dedicated 1 full day or 2 half days to meal prep for the week but once its done it makes things sm easier!

also, i always ALWAYS cook things in big batches to last me maybe 2-3 meals, just in case im dead tired the next day and have no energy to do anything but throw something in the microwave. and if you end up not wanting to eat that specific thing the next day, you can always freeze that too for later use :3. your freezer is going to be your best friend. theres tons of guides and recipes you can find online for easy ways to meal prep. it can get overwhelming bc of the many options but its best to just pick 3-ish very different dishes (flavor wise) and make big batches of them and then store and alternate throughout the days.

another huge tip is dont be afraid of frozen foods, if your budget allows then buying some frozen burgers or nuggets or whatever you fancy can honestly be a lifesaver in emergencies too (usually if im going through an episode or period of fatigue, those come in really handy for me).

and sometimes if i have literally nothing prepped in my fridge ill just take 1 protein 1 carb and whatever veggies i might have and throw it on a pan with some sauces/seasoning. if i dont have a protein/carb/veg i just leave it out and load on whatever i do have in the fridge. and if all else fails, snacking is always an option.

and even if you've done all of this, sometimes you might not have the energy to even get up from bed or entertain the thought of eating, and thats okay. theres no shame in skipping a meal here and there, theres been many a times that ive simply skipped meals because of decision paralysis trying to figure out what to eat. adulting is extremely hard!!! and stressful!!! we're all just bumbling along trying to figure it out.

omg I appreciate you sending a lengthy ask 🥰 but no they’re all the same age, the only older ones are gael and amilah but that’s by a year. jeno only does it to tease sunwoo and sunwoo has a strong attachment to her, it’s platonic but i does border on romantic sometimes it’s never gone too far so she doesn’t fully mind. they’re both overly protective tho so most of the times that attitude comes off as them having feelings (doesn’t help they act the way they do lol)

sunwoo might come off as a younger brother but that’s how he acts (childish) in the comfort of his friends. he doesn’t act this way in public especially since he’s a public figure and yn has always allowed sunwoo to act childish around her (since she herself is so when she wants to; judge free friendship) which is why he has a strong attachment to her. he already does act that way around everyone else but it took him longer to get comfortable (I mean look at the way they laugh at him when he’s whining, though harmless he is quite sensitive).

notebook ; how many notebooks do you have? do you write in them?

one, technically!

i keep one notebook in current rotation, and have done for like. eight? years now? god that makes me feel old. so i've got three old, full notebooks, one i'm almost done with, and an empty one for when i fill the one i'm currently working in. (plus one bonus notebook i'm planning on using for notes for the dnd campaign im in w my friends that's getting started !!)

it's mostly just a place where i scribble down things i want to put on paper; recipes, notes to self, packing lists, doodles, etc etc. i don't usually write like, prose in my notebooks but that's primarily because i don't write much by hand, because it's far slower than typing, which means ill accidentally leave out words and things while writing bc i'm trying to keep up by hand with how fast mny brain is writing, if that makes sense? but i have a handful of notes/brainstorms (especially for long fics, like noble pining) in my notebook from times i wanted to workshop things by hand, and i've gotten in the habit over the last few months to do a final edit by reading through the draft preview after i've formatted on ao3 and writing out line edits by hand in my notebook as i read, and then going back and editing after the fact- so i don't get caught up in editing too much while im trying to read back through, if that makes sense?? so i have a bunch of pages of my messy handwriting w spellchecking and grammar notes and rephrases for old fics from right before i've posted them lmao!!

A Night In With Tamaki Amajiki

Tamaki Amajiki x Reader

- It has been a rough week for Tamaki and all he wants to do is spend an uninterrupted night alone with you.

According to Tamaki Amajinki, the best kind of dates are the ones where he doesn't have to worry about other people getting in the way of his alone time with you. Now that he is a Pro Hero these happen less and less and it's driving him a just little bit crazy,

The last time the two of you had a date, you went to a small coffee shop, it was quiet. Until one of his fans noticed him yelling his name and drawing a crowd. You had to pull him out of the corner he was determined to become one with and take him home so he would destress. His anxiety makes it difficult to go on normal dates, which only makes him feel worse and worse.

You of course know this and try to make sure that the two of you can spend time together without some obnoxious fangirl calling attention to the Adorably shy Suneater who can’t help being amazing.

After a long week of patrols, Tamaki was able to get off work Friday evening. He stumbles through the front door and you can tell he’s tired. “Tama you're home!” You say excitedly going over to give him a hug. This little gesture means everything to Tamaki as his entire body beings to relax into your embrace.

“Tough day?” you ask as he groans hunching down to press his face into your neck.

You stay in this position for a few minutes allowing Tamaki to unwind from the stress of the week as you begin to think about what you can do to make him feel better.

He clears his throat “Butterfly, I don't want to leave home ever again,” he says into your neck. Rubbing his back a bit you let out a giggle, “you say that every week baby.”

The tips of his pointy ears turn pink, standing out against the dark strands of his hair. “I-I mean it t-this time butterfly. He stutters pulling away to change out of his hero costume, hanging up his cape and placing the rest of it into the wash.

You spring to action placing a few menus from his favorite take-out restaurants out on the coffee table for him to choose. You also get a ques of his favorite cooking shows so he can relax. He loves cooking shows because he uses them to get new ideas on how to fuel his quirk with new recipes.

Tamaki pads back into the room and sees your setup. “Butterfly? What is this?” he questions looking at the couch eagerly more than ready to curl up with you and the pile of blankets for the rest of the night.

“Our date night silly, I want you all to myself.” you laugh as you guide him to the couch. “Is that okay with you Tama?” your question sends him back over the edge as he once again becomes a cute blushing mess nodding excitedly before laying you down on his chest. The two of you sit comfortably until your stomachs begin to growl.

“I guess we should order food,” he says quietly looking over at the menus. After deciding you track the order on your phone and wait.

A bit later, a knocking on your front door signals the arrival of your food. Tamaki starts to get up but you stop him gently putting a hand to his chest. “I’ll go get it, baby,” you say gently getting up from the couch. You open the door to see the delivery guy.

He immediately looks you up and down sending you a smirk. “Hey there pretty thing, here ya go,” he says holding out the bag of food for you to take.

"Thank you," you say uncomfortably as you reach out to take the bag. Suddenly he pulls his hand back teasingly. “Ur pretty cute, why don't I come inside and help a cute thing like you eat all this food.” he coos trying to step inside.

“I’d rather you stay outside.” you tell him as he tries to walk past you into your home “Just hand me the food and leave, it's already been paid for and tipped.”

“Well I think I deserve a bigger tip, what do ya say cutie?” he says placing the bags on the floor and tries walking towards you again as you try and create distance between you and the creep.

Before you can open your mouth to protest you step back into something solid. Turning around you see Tamaki staring daggers at the man. “She told you to leave,” he says darkly putting you behind him.

His earlier shyness is gone as he falls into hero mode. The guy sees how unmatched he is and leaves ducking quickly out the door practically running to his car before driving away.

“Butterfly, are you alright? he says softly closing the door and checking you over.

You blink up at him “Yeah Tama, I'm fine. That guy was just a jerk.” you tell him shaking your head. He can tell your lying as you take the food and head back to the couch sitting rigidly on the edge of the seat.

"We should definitely report him," he says rubbing your back in soothing circles hoping to slow down the rapid beating of your heart. It works wonders and you bury your face into his chest feeling safe.

“You know you're my hero Tama, don't you?” you ask him as you pass out the food, digging into it.

It's amazing how Tamaki can be so brave one moment and so humble the other. He blushes slightly at your words almost choking on his food.

“I-I’m just glad the guy left B-Butterfly, h-he was annoying,” he stutters, finishing off his meal sneaking a few bites of your food along the way.

Once the food is out of the way he resumes his previous position on the couch as you curl up next to him forgetting about the guy.

A few hours later you drift off on the couch, upon seeing you out for the count Tamaki takes the takeout menu of the restaurant you called and rips it to pieces before shoving it in the garbage can so that the guy will never come to your home again. Sorry Butterfly, he whispers to you as he lifts you up off of the couch. “I just want to keep you all to myself too.” Turning off the tv he carries you into the bedroom carefully tucking you into the sheets. Looking down at you lovingly he bends over to hesitantly to place a soft kiss on your lips. “Goodnight Butterfly. He says before crawling in next to you excited to spend tomorrow with you as well.

From the way that you would dress to the way that your eyes would just look so amazed and innocent at him, he just knows that he needs to watch over you, always. The brothers do get a little wary when they see how much time you do spend at Purgatory Hall, but they know that Simeon couldn’t possibly have feelings for you, and you were always so giddy after leaving there, they couldn’t bring themselves to say anything

And Simeon knew that he was starting to feel more than he should. He couldn’t profess his love for you now in risk of falling, but he can wait until you get your wings. Just imagining you in your cute little Ceslestial Realm outfit (which he hopes still mimicked your current style) with your very own beaming halo was enough to keep him waiting and to make sure that you stayed on the right path

Which lead to you bringing him so much sweets that it made Beel jealous and very upset

But we all know how Beel can be around food, so it wasn’t a huge surprise. He chased you around all day and you had to use your pact to get him to stop!

And you promised to make him double the sweets in he forgave you so all is well

Luke was still obviously sad, but he wasn’t going to stay sad forever. Especially not after you brought this many sweets just for him!

Lucifer was not a happy demon when Simeon arrived at the HoL’s doorstep with you groaning and clutching your stomach. And Solomon took so many pictures of Luke while he passed out from his sugar high that he dedicated a whole album in his phone to it

Favorite activity to do together: Baking! (Obviously)

Trading recipes, shopping for ingredients together, baking things for each other to try (where really it was just to have double the desserts)

When you two are in the kitchen together, no one else is allowed (except for Simeon, but only if he’s looking and not touching). It’s now MC and Luke time, everybody else is gonna have to wait!

Luke only wants you to do the the activities that he sees as harmless: which is everything that doesn’t include sharp items and anything else that can hurt you

Honestly? Kaoru is wonderful to be in a relationship with when struggling with forgetfulness.

He’s naturally pretty good at remembering things, but he’s also an avid fan of AI- so, you have both Kaoru and Carla to remind you! Just tell him something important, or something small you feel like you should remember, and he’ll be telling Carla to remember it as well. Human minds are flawed, but Carla surely won’t forget!!

Now, if you forget before telling him/thinking to tell him, he’ll be as calm and understanding as ever.

He isn’t exactly sure how to jog your memory sometimes, but he will do the whole “retrace your steps” thing. Tells you to go back to the other room and enter this one again- try to figure out what you were thinking about beforehand. Maybe being back in the other room will help…?

Or, if it’s during a conversation, and you forget what you were about to say- just tell him you forgot, and he’s calmly listing off things about the conversation. Keywords, almost? Facts about a story one of you just told, words that stick out, etc.

As frustrating as forgetting can be, Kaoru has patience to make up for it. He doesn’t mind doing his best to help you, you’re his s/o after all. If he’s patient and loving (in his own way) towards the kids’ antics, he’s going to be just the same towards you.

If you express your frustration, he isn’t quite sure what exactly to do. He can handle practical things- reminding you, helping you with tasks, but emotions are a bit different.

Despite that, he will try to help. Not out of obligation, but because he genuinely cares, and genuinely wants you to know it’s all right.

“Ah… there, there, (Y/N). It’s completely understandable to be upset, but it’s alright to be forgetful. That’s what I’m for, isn’t it? Why else would you have a boyfriend such as myself, with an assistant such as Carla? If it’s something you can’t remember, it will either come back to you because it’s something you should remember- and, if it doesn’t, I’m sure it wasn’t too important in the first place.”

Doesn’t exactly know how to deal with crying either, so if you do get frustrated to a point of tears, he’ll kind of… pinch your face? Not harshly, but enough to get you to focus on him instead. Once he has your attention, he’ll give his little spiel.

Of course, he isn’t heartless- he’ll comfort you however you need him to. Hugs, kisses, etc <3

Joe may not be as effective as Kaoru, but he does try as hard-!!

He may be charismatic and confident, but he’s still a loving boyfriend. He wants to help you in any way he can, and if memory is the way he should help, then he’s on it!!

He has to have decent memory, he works at a restaurant after all? He’s bound to be able to remember orders and recipes, so things that you need him to remember isn’t normally a problem!

Just to be safe, he keeps sticky notes around! On counters, he even has a few set in the kitchen- just in case you walk in, telling him to please remind you of a certain date or something you need to do! He’s pausing whatever he’s doing, if it can be paused, and writing it down, giving you a sweet “got it, baby!”

When he’s not able to see you in person, he doesn’t mind you sending him texts! He’ll write it down just the same, set a reminder in his phone- or, if it’s important enough, or he’s worried he’ll actually forget as well, he’ll (ask?) tell Kaoru to set a reminder on his little machine assistant.

(“She has a name, you idiot gorilla. I’ll do it for (Y/N)’s sake, of course, because they actually remember Carla.”

“Ah, I remember. I just don’t care-“

“You’re on thin freaking ice.”)

If you walk up to him, opening your mouth to say something, then shutting it- your eyebrows furrowing to try and get yourself to remember- he’ll also be very patient. (He’ll also find your expression strangely cute, as if everything about you isn’t.)

“What were you doing before you came in here? Watching anything, searching for something?”

He’s not as great at jogging your memory as Kaoru is, but he certainly won’t give up. Heck, he’ll walk around the entire house with you, or go to the room you were just in. Pointing at things, trying to list anything that may be a keyword- any way he can try and help!!

Now, if you get frustrated because of your forgetfulness, he can handle it a bit better than Kaoru.

If you start to cry, or even if you just need a hug, he’s hugging you, patting your head carefully. Buff gorilla though he is, he’s a loving buff gorilla who definitely gives good hugs (and kisses)!

“Don’t cry, (Y/N), it’s alright. I know you’re frustrated, but I’m sure it’ll come to you eventually. You don’t need to be upset with yourself just because you forgot. It’s not like you chose to forget, so don’t get too worked up… it’ll all be okay, I promise <3.”

- whenever he’s up he makes sure to write to you, before going off to mess with sapnap and karl (and quackity when they eventually make up and he visits them all the time 😌👌)

- sometimes he travels to the main smp to visit you and those day are so relaxing

- just sitting on a hill, wtaching over the smp peacefully. knowing that now, finally, all the war is over

- dream xd got jealous at first but then he started spending time alone with you and adores you

- if george can’t bother with a letter he’ll just tell XD to tell you something for him since he can just teleport

- the general situation with karl and quackity is that their all dating but your dating sapnap, but none of the others, though you are pretty good friends

- he used to live with you before moving to kinoko with karl and george, and you still have half his stuff at your place because he’s their half the time

- all the workers at the train are friends with him, so used to him going back and forth

- puffy will be out on a walk in peaceful times and always go “oh, other half of the happy couples back? good for you, sweet cheeks.”

- the whole smp likes to just watch you go on the longest walks. legit walked all the way to the arctic after being away from each other for a while.

- cannot stand being away so much, sends like two letters a day and donates a fuck ton of money so that they can actually get to you quickly

- he loves just knowing that you giggled so he does random stuff in the letters to make you giggle.

- from just making stupid little dick doodles to literally sending it in a monster can as if he was lost at sea, he’ll go all out

- sometime he’ll hear a random noise and think it’s you doing your funky little surprise visits, but turns out it’s just a sheep that got it’s way into the house :(
