The morning sun beamed beyond the half-open curtains in the living room, painting the room with orange and gold tones. Sitting at the kitchen table, Y/N immersed herself in her books, trying to focus on her notes as the sounds of Nick and Matt echoed around the house.

At that moment, Chris was absent. He had gone to Tara's house, a new friend of the triplets and, consequently, of Y/N, who had recently become a frequent figure in their lives. The objective was to record a video for Tara's channel since after the large group's social media post together, both fandoms started begging for collabs.

As Y/N immersed herself in her studies, a notification flashed on her phone screen. The girl looked up at her device, seeing the new message.

pretty boy: hi baby!! look, we did a tiktok! I look so cool: link.

A smile curved Y/N's lips as she clicked on the link, curious to see the result of one of Chris and Tara's creations. The video started, and she immediately recognized the song as one of her favorites, humming softly as her eyes captured the funny dance and interaction between the two.

A laugh escaped her lips when she saw Chris shaking his head in the lyrics "Would you get down on knees for me?", remembering all the times the song played when they were together, and exactly in this part, Chris always got down on his knees in front of Y/N, making her laugh.

For a moment, Y/N allowed herself to relax and enjoy the scene. It was a genuine demonstration of their new friendship, and Y/N felt grateful to be part of that dynamic.

However, her joy was momentary.

As the video came to an end, Y/N scrolled through the comments, eager to see the reaction of Tara's followers. What she found left her cold.

Among the funny and complimentary comments, there was a barrage of messages that cut like sharp knives. Ardent fans of both Tara and Chris were heavily shipping them, completely ignoring Chris's long-standing and public relationship with Y/N.

"Chris and Tara are so cute together!"

"I so wanted them to be a couple 😭"

"I'm sorry, Y/N, but you don't hold a candle to Tara. Chris deserves someone like her."

The words echoed in Y/N's mind, like a distant echo of an approaching storm. She felt a tightness in her chest, a mixture of sadness, anger, and confusion.

How could they be so cruel? How could they judge their relationship based on fragments of a distorted reality? Y/N felt vulnerable, exposed to the relentless cruelty of the virtual world.

Her thumb moved automatically as she left the comment box, sliding the screen to the TikTok below the one she was watching, craving a quick distraction. But her hope was suddenly dashed when she saw that the next video was an edit of Chris and Tara's TikTok and all the others after.

She knew the fans were fast, but at that moment, she wanted them to be as slow as possible.

Y/N closed the app with a heavy sigh, fighting to hold back the tears that threatened to spill. It was difficult not to let the strangers' words and opinions get to her.

With a determined effort to forget about it momentarily, Y/N turned her attention back to the books, seeking refuge in the comforting familiarity of the printed pages, forgetting to answer Chris.

The day was coming to an end. In the room shared by Y/N and Chris, the atmosphere was filled with a silent energy, interrupted only by the gentle slide of Y/N's fingers over her phone screen, and the low sounds of various videos.

She was lying in their bed, having already taken a comforting shower, but her mind was still shrouded in a haze of dark thoughts. As she scrolled through her TikTok's For You, romantic edits of Chris and Tara popped up with disturbing frequency. Y/N's expression was a mixture of sadness and self-questioning, her eyes reflecting an inner storm.

She felt her mind defeat her with thoughts of comparison. She knew she would never reach Tara's beauty, humor, and even body.

The heavy atmosphere was interrupted by the sound of the door opening gently. Chris entered the room, radiating an aura of euphoria. His eyes sparkled with joy, and a smile spread across his face with ease.

"Hi, my pretty girl!" Chris greeted, closing the door behind him. "You won't believe how amazing the video with Tara turned out. I can't wait for her to post it so you can see it!"

"Hey, baby! I'm so happy you had fun." Y/N looked up from her cell, forcing a smile on her lips, trying with all her might not to reveal her current state - the last thing she wanted to do was ruin Chris's excitement, but the sadness still hovered in her eyes.

Chris immediately noticed the change in her expression and approached the bed, worried.

"What happened, babe?" He asked in a worried tone, frowning and sitting down next to her.

She just shook her head slightly, unable to put her tumultuous thoughts into words. Chris reached out to caress her face gently, seeking to comfort her with his loving touch.

"You didn't answer my text, I really thought something was happening... You know you can tell me anything, right?" Chris continued gently. He didn't want to force anything out of her.

Y/N nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat. Before he could say anything else, Chris noticed the phone in her hand with almost silent sounds escaping from the speaker, leaning over to peer at the screen.

Romantic edits of Chris and Tara filled Y/N's device. He swallowed hard, instantly connecting the dots.

Chris's comforting touch on Y/N's face seemed to turn cool. His eyes narrowed slightly, and a sigh escaped his lips before he could control it.

"Y/N, are you really upset because of these silly edits?" The boy questioned, his voice filled with disbelief. His touch against the warm skin disappeared within seconds, the boy removing his hand from her face before sitting down on the bed.

Y/N flinched at the accusation implicit in his words, feeling suddenly exposed and vulnerable. Tears threatened to overflow her eyes as she struggled to find a coherent response.

"It's not just because of the edits..." She, her voice shaking with turbulent emotions. "Did you see the comments? They-"

Chris shook his head impatiently, cutting her off abruptly, frustration beginning to seep into his expression. He couldn't understand why something as trivial as fan edits could affect his girlfriend so much.

"Y/N, this is ridiculous!" He continued firmly. "These edits and comments don't mean anything. They're just fan jokes. It's not the end of the world." His voice came out louder than before, his posture now rigid.

His words hit Y/N like a sharp knife, making her feel even more inadequate and misunderstood. Anger bubbled inside her, a simmering mix of resentment and hurt.

"You don't understand, Chris!" She snapped, her voice shaking slightly. Her right hand worked to lock the screen of her phone in one quick motion, tossing it aside. "This isn't just about the edits. It's about how I feel about being compared to Tara, about how it's making me feel inferior to her! How would you feel if people started wanting to see me with a man other than you? While I'm in a relationship with you!"

Chris rolled his eyes dismissively, his patience beginning to wear thin at the intensity of Y/N's emotions.

“You’re so tiring sometimes, Y/N.” He snapped without thinking, his voice tinged with irritation, not giving a damn about how his girlfriend felt. "I can't deal with all this insecurity all the time. It's fucking exhausting."

The words hit Y/N like a punch to the gut, leaving her breathless, her rigid posture quickly crumbling. She felt tears run down her face without force as the painful realization settled in her heart.

She was tiring. She was insecure. She was too much for him to handle.

The pain of rejection burned in her chest as she retrieved her phone again, ripping the comforter off her legs. Her lips were pressed into a thin line tightly in an attempt to stop the ugly sobs that she wanted to let out. She wouldn't give herself the luxury of showing Chris how much he hurt her.

The girl got up from the bed in one quick movement, grabbing her pillow and heading towards the bedroom door.

"Where are you going?" Chris's voice echoed harshly behind her, his body rising from the mattress quickly.

"I'll sleep in the living room." Y/N responded curtly, turning the handle with ease before walking through the door, slamming it, feeling more alone than ever amidst the multitude of turbulent emotions.

She could feel her heart being crushed a little more when she didn't hear Chris call for her again, let alone try to reach her.

The stairs leading to the living room were silent, and her pillow clutched to her chest as a last vestige of comfort in a world that seemed to be falling apart around her. Each step up echoed like a lonely echo in an emotional void that seemed to swallow her whole.

Upon reaching the living room, Y/N found refuge on the empty couch. She curled into the soft upholstery, hugging the pillow tightly as tears continued to roll down her cheeks silently. The phone rested next to her, emitting a dim light that wouldn't turn off, almost begging her to pick it up again.

Hours dragged by like centuries as Y/N fought the ghosts of her own mind.

At some point, she had given up resisting and was on her TikTok again. The algorithm seemed to hate her, delivering her frequent videos of Chris and Tara, which were like a sharp dagger in her heart.

They would really look beautiful together.

Dawn fell heavily upon her, but sleep refused to welcome her into its comforting arms. Instead, she found herself trapped in a whirlwind of torturous thoughts, her mind pounding incessantly with doubts and questions about her relationship with Chris.

Until her brain shuts down completely, letting tiredness win.

At 3 a.m., in the darkness of the night, a familiar figure appeared at the entrance to the room. Chris was there, his tired face etched with worry and regret.

His eyes quickly found Y/N's figure lying on the couch, already asleep, curled up and shivering slightly from the cold. Her eyes were closed, but he could see the swelling that surrounded them, the traces of tears on her cheeks and her still damp face. Next to her, her phone repeatedly played one of the videos she had watched before falling asleep.

A lump formed in Chris's throat. He intensely blamed himself for not having thought before acting and, much less, noticing how much his actions had affected his girlfriend.

With hesitant steps, he approached her, feeling the weight of his own anguish on his shoulders.

Gently, Chris turned off her phone, cutting the endless cycle of pain that had consumed Y/N. He then crouched down beside her, studying her peaceful face with a mixture of love and pain.

With a resigned sigh, the boy carefully took her into his arms, hooking them around her back and behind her knees, feeling the weight of her fragile body against his own chest. Y/N hummed softly in response to his touch but didn't fully wake up.

Chris carried her down the stairs and back to their bedroom, where the soft light from the lamp bathed the room in yellow tones. Tenderly, he placed her on the soft mattress, covering her with the comforter carefully so as not to wake her.

Y/N shifted slightly under Chris's touch and the new surface beneath her limbs, her eyebrows furrowing in an expression of discomfort. She looked restless, as if she were immersed in a nightmare.

Chris watched her for a moment, feeling the weight of his own harsh words weigh on him like an anchor. He knew he had hurt Y/N deeply, and the pain of seeing her suffer was almost unbearable.

With a heavy sigh, he sat down next to her, his hand reaching for her with a tentative touch. Y/N stirred slightly, her eyes finally slowly opening to meet Chris's. She fought the urge to get up and leave the room again, her anger at Chris's actions and sadness in her mind, making her want to avoid him.

For a moment, they simply stared at each other, sharing a silent understanding that transcended words, Y/N making the decision to let him say what he wanted.

“Y/N, I’m so sorry.” Chris muttered, his voice thick with regret. "I was insensitive and selfish. I didn't want to hurt you, I acted on impulse and completely without thinking. This whole situation is not silly if it hurts and bothers you, and I promise that we can talk better about what you saw and how you felt, and solve this together... Just please, give me this chance?"

Y/N blinked slowly, her eyes locked on Chris's as she processed his words. For a moment, she felt the weight of hurt and disappointment pressing against her, but then she saw the sincerity in Chris's eyes, the pure, unconditional love he had always offered her.

And in that moment, she knew that forgiveness was the only good choice to make. With a sigh, she squeezed Chris's hand tenderly, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders.

"Just one chance. I want you to fix what you did and do it right this time."

What he usually does is he just goes around and asks the monsters their opinion on pop culture stuff. And let's say for this post's sake that both vine and omegaverse was created earlier in the 2000s rather than the 2010s.

One day he posts a vine asking Kevin "are you an alpha, beta or omega?" And Kevin is like ???? "Like the greek alphabet? Probably a Kappa, since I'm Kevin" cut to a picture of Kevin from a photoshoot with the biggest celebrity smile on and the words 'KAPPA' and underneath in smaller letters 'he's Kevin'

Next victim is Aaron. Nicky asks, Aaron looks annoyedly at him and says "I'm ym", "What's ym?", "your mo-" video cuts to an edited picture of Aaron looking like he's pregnant next to a small Nicky (only Nicky hasn't used a baby picture, he's just shrank a picture of himself as an adult), caption reads "OMEGA"

Nicky gets brave so he goes and asks Andrew who is just minding his own business. Nicky asks the question and Andrew responds with "I'm carrying" and makes a move to take out a knife from his sleeve. Cut to a blurry photo of Nicky running for his life, Andrew in the distance with a sharp and shiny object in his hands, caption reads "We'll be right back with our regular programing"

Last vine from Nicky is Neil. He's fixing his racquet or sth, Nicky asks "Are you an alpha, Beta or omega?" Theres the sword and yeah it does have its differences which hurt the theory. I think it looks similar enough to work for this theory in combination with the prior, (like i cant rule out the chance this game isn't accurate to how katanas are actually used since there are misconceptions about katanas, i doubt it but i cant rule it out)

Matthew Barney’s Self-Lubricating Frames

A small, lingering question I’ve had for 20 years: what is a “self-lubricating frame”? At the Guggenheim "Cremaster" exhibit and later exhibits, I wondered about this phrase on the label cards of Barney’s film stills, with custom frames, they are described as “chromogenic print in self-lubricating frame.” Perhaps easily answered, but because I wasn’t holding a phone connected to the internet in the museum back then, never answered.

Recently I went to a screening of Matthew Barney’s “Cremaster 3” (2002), with a Q&A between Barney and Martine Syms. Nostalgia lured me to Santa Monica, as I haven’t seen the complete 3-hour film since seeing the entire cycle at San Francisco's Castro Theater in 2003.

While the earlier films retained a video look, "Cremaster 3" (the final film) must have been shot on one of the better HD DV formats of the era at 24P, because it looks very filmic, the degraded 35mm print we watched certainly contributed to that vibe.

If you are new to Barney’s work, his long-term projects like "Cremaster" have sculptural and architectural aspects. Some sculptures could be construed as props and parts of a set for performance. In a gallery setting they are firmly sculpture. A film of the performance becomes its own highly edited and crafted artifact, which is then used in the spaces that exhibit the objects. 

How do framed photographs fit into this system? As with the films, they are artifacts of the performance, a Barney exhibit might have the sculpture (often quite large) in the center of a gallery space, with the framed photographs on the walls, in the same way a video monitor might be on a wall with the dangling headphones.

Barney cites "Cremaster" as beginning in 1994, but this framed football magazine is from 1991, with what became the Cremaster logo applied in the center. This example suggests these framed photographs exist as collectables with some connection to how a sports or music fan collects still images of action, or a cinema fan would collect a production still.

Along with vaseline or beeswax, self-lubricating plastic as used in sculpture or framed photographs can be considered one of Barney's core materials. Was it selected due to the fact it resembles beeswax? Here's another 1991 example, with a black and white silver print.

The "Cremaster"-era prints themselves are exquisitely lit and printed, mostly color, many seem to be photographed by Michael James O’Brien, though I don't recall ever seeing his name on a museum or gallery label. The photographer is like the fabricator of the frame, a craftsperson Barney hires to execute the object. My recollection is they are printed luxuriously matte, which works well with the creamy frames. The "Cremaster 3" prints are of larger dimensions that became popular at the fin de siècle with Gursky, or more relevant to Barney as his own lead actor, the portraits of Rineke Dijkstra. These are titled film stills, the convention of the Cremaster stills seems to be “movie : subject.” (e.g. Cremaster I: Orchidella).

My memory of the framed Cremaster photographs is that they were of somewhat uniform size and look: a creamy beeswax plastic, in line with the other sculpture you might see in his exhibits, no sharp edges, but not particularly different from other plastics you might encounter in our modern wonderland of PFAS.  When I first read "self-lubricating frame," I assumed it was partially a joke, a reference to petroleum jelly/ vaseline, one of Barney’s other preferred materials. Or perhaps lubricated condoms.

Looking online at the auction houses, it appears my memory was way off, there were many variations in size, shape and even color. Ireland is a core part of the "Cremaster" mythology, and this "Cremaster 4" print is in delightful Shamrock Shake green.

After that screening of "Cremaster 3," I went on the typical bender of reading old blog posts and writings on the topic. There’s a 2004 doc streaming on Kanopy (the library video app, excellent for art documentaries), where the NYT art critic Michael Kimmelman walks through the Guggenheim Cremaster exhibit with Barney answering questions, explaining references, personal and mythical, cutting to scenes from the relevant films. About nine minutes into the doc, my question is answered. Barney explains about a sculpture they are looking at: “[it's] high density polyethylene, from the same family as Teflon is from, has a resistance to friction. And in that way it’s a self-lubricating plastic, in that it generates its own lubrication.” 

OK! So "self-lubricating" is a description for a class of industrial plastic products, which Barney has fabricated his frames of and adopted the phrase. "Self-lubricating plastic frame" is more accurate if more mundane sounding. There's no liquid aspect to it, but if we were able to rub at it, in a repetitive fashion, could we perhaps notice it was different? It's a specific material - not a condom joke, or even like using the word "giclée" to gussy up "ink jet" print.

This material is described as:

solid lubricants are embedded as microscopic particles in millions of tiny chambers in the fiber-reinforced material. From these chambers, the plastic bushings release tiny amounts of solid lubricant during movement.

Another description of how it works once molded into an industrial form:

The bearing achieves this by transferring microscopic amounts of material to the mating surface, creating a film that lubricates and reduces friction over the entire length of the rail or shaft. 

When you read this and see some of the examples of how it's used in actual products (Linear Bearing for 8mm rod pictured above), this wasn't selected by Barney just because it resembles beeswax, but because conceptually it's a classic Barney material. A plastic, honeycombed with microscopic bits of lubricant! There's an added tension looking at these objects, knowing the material is designed for friction, but will likely never experience it. After the organic forms are molded, the films are shot, the stills are taken, the photographs mounted in the frame, they will only ever be handled by people wearing white gloves.

Chronotopia Update: Light Again!

It’s been a hell of a long time since the last update. For once, I’m happy to bring good news!

After nearly four months of many administrative formalities, I finally managed to close the Single Member Limited Liability Company formerly known as Traümendes Mädchen and start as a self-employed individual. I must say that having to feverishly wait for weeks between each step, waiting for the registry of my local commercial court’s validation, has been especially anxiety-provoking and that I’m relieved to see the light.

During my administrative woes, Chronotopia was still able to join the 2025 edition of the Storyteller Festival, it was nice!

My plan for the future is rather simple: I will work in a different field than video game publishing in order to earn something of a living. Given the current state of the world, I think you’ll understand the necessity, especially since this adventure has put a dent in my budget. This way, I hope I’ll soon be able to afford producing the rewards I still owe my backers, particularly the physical ones. I will of course keep you up to date if there’s any progress.

By then, I intend to simply pick up hobbies again and rediscover my love for writing, piece myself back together if you will. Upon re-reading previous Kickstarter updates, I realize I have been so obsessed with finishing Chronotopia’s campaign at all costs that I set completely unrealistic objectives. Overcome burnout in 1 or 2 months sharp? Easier said than done!

So I think I’m going to stream for my own pleasure and go back to my first loves (reviewing anime and videogames) to try to rekindle the flame. It will be more efficient to find motivation than force myself like the brute I am.

So yeah, my modest goal for 2025 is to at least be done with all digital rewards and slowly go back to creating video games.

Deltarune Parallel Knight Theory

I originally was going to make a video about this theory prior to Chapter 3 & 4’s release date, but I underestimated how much time it would take to get it done. I was able to at least make the script, so I’ve edited it to make it work as a written post. Inspired by @hipshop and @weebstranglerkiwi's knight videos (links down below)!!

Deltarune Chapter 3 & 4 are almost here, and like any normal fan, I’ve been binge-watching dozens of theory videos to pass the time. One that really piqued my interest was a video done by Vlaze discussing the identity of the knight. She presents two possible candidates for who the knight could be. One of which was proposed as more likely than the other. That got me thinking though: What if there was a way to weave BOTH candidates into the same narrative. What if it was possible for these two knights to be placed on the exact same chessboard?… And then I found Kiwimora’s video that already did this. Over a year ago… BUT, not wanting to give up I went back to the drawing board and after making some tweaks here and there… I think I’ve come up with my own distinct take on the concept. One that I hope you’ll find compelling before the inevitable, earth-shattering meteor descends upon us come June 4th.

Part 1 - Two Knights

Our first knight on the board is Kris. More specially, I believe that they are the Roaring Knight. I won’t be discussing all the reasons as to why, mainly because other channels have already explained it far better than I could. With that out of the way, there’s one piece of evidence that I’d like to talk about: Kris’s Knife. When Queen talks about the Roaring Knight, she describes the knight’s weapon as a “blade”, and subsequently shows a hologram of a knife-like object stabbed into the ground. Sure, Queen doesn't know a lot about the knight, let alone the Roaring, but the fact that we already saw the knife in Chapter 1 makes her description here feel very on-the-nose for when that setup gets paid off. If Toby wanted to, he could’ve just had Queen say that the knight uses a sharp weapon and the ending of chapter 2 would’ve still been impactful. Which is why I doubt that he’s trying to misdirect us here with Kris being the knight. Sure, maybe the knight uses multiple weapons, but, as you’ll see later on, I think it’s important for these details to stay simple.

When it comes to Kris's motives, it isn’t very clear at the moment. But if I had to guess, it’s that Kris is lacking purpose in their life and as such, gives up part of their autonomy in order to play the role of a protagonist. Similar to Kiwi’s argument in their knight video, I believe that Kris has made a pact with a mysterious figure who replaces their soul for another and tasks them with opening and closing dark fountains. Each closure makes them stronger, until eventually they have enough control to free themselves from us. With Kris now established, we move on to our other chess piece…

Next up on the board is Mayor Holiday (who I’ll refer to as Carol from now on). While she isn’t mentioned in the main story yet, optional dialogue paints a rather unpleasant picture. A daughter too timid to talk to her while working, the wet-nosed bandits cowering in fear at the sight of her, and nobody in town ever daring to run against her. It’s clear: The townsfolk (barring a handful of teenagers) are afraid of her. A fact that points to her as a formidable antagonist, one who is directly connected to both the Holiday family (obviously) and the Dreemurs. While the two families were close at one point, a tragedy had occurred which severed this bond. A tragedy so bad that it resulted in Asgore getting removed from the force, and we all know who has the power and apathy to do so. Like Noelle, I’d wager that Carol is also grieving over this tragedy, and is constantly keeping the town under her control as a coping mechanism. But soon enough her urge to pick at that scar will reach a breaking point.

As such, her main motive as the knight lies in discovering the truth about this tragedy. The tragedy of Dess’s disappearance. So when she gets a call from the police on a Saturday morning, mentioning a “dark world” that was in the Dreemurr house, she can’t help but be intrigued by it. Using her diligent skills as a mayor, she finds herself in contact with a mysterious figure, who informs her about the nature of dark worlds, the knight, and how it may relate to Dess. With this newfound knowledge, I speculate that once a certain “terrible crisis” occurs, she will be at the forefront of it. And unfortunately for her opposition, she is not going to forfeit her willpower so easily. Because as she’s proven throughout her career, she will get what she wants, no matter who gets in her way. And that is why I believe that she is the knight our heroes must vanquish. Wait a minute though, since Kris is the Roaring Knight, that would mean Carol is just a knight, right? Eehh… no. She IS the knight, just not in the same way that Kris is. To explain what I mean, we need to talk about…

Part 2 - Parallels

The Chapter 3&4 trailer refers to Deltarune as “Undertale’s parallel story”. While I don’t think this means that Deltarune will mirror everything in Undertale to a T, I do think that it will bring back some major story elements. Notably, I believe that King Asgore’s character and role will be paralleled through Carol Holiday. Both are the main authoritarian figures of their receptive lands, others describe them as threatening prior to encounter (barring Papyrus), and both have even lost a child of their own. We see this grief become the driving force for Asgore to go down his destructive path of gathering the 7 human souls. A similar path will likely be true for Carol, given her aforementioned motive. One issue with this comparison is that Asgore is mentioned in the main plot much earlier on compared to Carol, but given that Deltarune is going to be a much longer game, I think it'll only be a matter of time before she becomes relevant. Especially given her involvement with the festival, an event that will likely hold a lot of plot significance. 

Alright, so we’ve established Carol as a threat similar to Asgore, who’ll appear before the climax of the story, but how does this relate to Kris as the Roaring Knight? Well, that is where the crux of my theory comes into play. You see, while Kris is the knight of the dark world, Carol Holiday is the knight of the light world. Now obviously she’s not the literal knight. She didn’t wield hometown into existence like a god or something. Rather, she, like Asgore, acts as the ruler of hometown. Every decision that she makes directly affects all the residents, just like how the knight makes decisions that impact all the darkners in the dark worlds. As such, it’s only natural that these two forces would inevitably collide. Two sides of the same coin, vying for power and control. One side seeking freedom, the other seeking resolve. Both coming face-to-face, at the edge of the shadow, where dream and reality meet.

Now, you might be wondering: But HOW might these two end up facing each other in an epic, climatic battle? Well, this is where we get A LOT more speculative and, admittedly, fan-fictiony. But hey, what theory doesn’t have a little bit of fan-fiction in it? So, allow me to set the scene for this hypothetical scenario...

Part 3 - The Ice Palace

We begin at the start of Chapter 5, where Kris and Susie are waiting outside Rudy’s hospital room. Rudy’s condition has worsened, to the point where he is now in a deep coma. The Holiday family are still inside having a private conversation. As the two are talking about the situation, Susie remembers she left something in the room and upon opening it, a blast of cold air throws the duo back, revealing that another dark world has been created. With no time to think, They jump in to begin another adventure. The gang find themselves in an icy mountain range, and off in the distance lies a frigid fortress surrounding the dark fountain. Before they can make it far however, an army of medieval fantasy darkners ambush them, surrounding them on all sides. A tall, shadowy figure then appears from the crowd, as a henchman walks up to them: “My knight, what is your command?”. “Capture them and throw them in the dungeon” the figure replies. Susie remarks that the knight’s voice sounds familiar. Before long however, Ralsei casts a surprise fire spell to ward off the army. This however causes the ice underneath them to collapse, sending the gang down into the unknown depths below. Upon waking up, Susie realizes that the person in the armor was Carol! She then has a revelation: Carol is the Roaring Knight! I’d imagine this is where Susie goes on a “Pepe Silivia” rant throughout the chapter, talking about how it makes sense that the most powerful, villainous person in hometown would be trying to rule over the dark worlds as well. After the typical array of fights, puzzles, and shenanigans, they finally reach… The Ice Palace; the exact same one found in Dragon Blazers.

Once the gang reach the top of the palace, they confront Carol. In her hand lies the weapon used to create this dark world: A long, sharp bident. It parallels Carol’s signature fountain pen in the light world (an idea taken from GuiltyFlygon’s video on Mayor Knight). The two sides then clash in an all-out brawl. As the battle nears its end, Noelle jumps out, scolding her mom for trying to harm her friends. Noelle informs everyone that it was HER who made the fountain, with Carol lending her the fountain pen to create it. She was busy trying to awaken Rudy, but to no avail. Susie is completely shocked by this news. She obviously doesn’t think Noelle is the actual knight, but at this point there’s not many suspects left. Susie yells out in frustration: “THEN WHO THE HELL IS THE ROARING KNIGHT?!”. Soon after, Carol ambushes the gang and leaps up onto the palace walls, surrounding herself with pillars of sharp ice. She sternly insists that she is running out of time and must find Dess at all costs. As a last ditch effort, she holds the bident over her head, channeling all of her will into it. The group panic as they desperately try to break the ice to get to her. Before she’s about to strike the earth, Kris quickly climbs up the ice pillars and jumps into the air. A sharp slash then echoes through the sky. The ice vanishes as the bident is cut cleanly in half, flying out of Carol’s hands and into the fountain behind her. Kris then jumps down and stands in front of the trio.

They raise their head, revealing one red, glowing eye. They hold out their arm, revealing not a sword, but a knife being held in their hand. After a moment of silence, Susie recalls what Queen's hologram showed when talking about the knight. And so, the answer, similar to how it was revealed in Chapter 2, has now been revealed to Susie. What she will do next, I imagine, will be very, very interesting.

Conclusion

With that, we have reached the end of this theory! In short, I argue that Kris and Carol are both knights of their respective worlds. Not only does Carol parallel Kris in this regard, but also king Asgore as the potential penultimate antagonist before the story's climax. This is self explanatory too I feel, but combined with the fact that I see biting as not only a inherently sexual act (or cannibalistic) but also as generally a form of affection for anyone, it means a little more to me. Also slightly self indulgent because I myself have sharp canines. Con is is now I have chronic jaw pain that flares up sometimes, but hopefully braces can help reduce that. Or not. Not really sure yet? Also tooth related HMO, tooth gaps!

I think in more recent year, especially with more animated media that features attractive characters either tooth gaps like Caitlyn Kiramman and Hunter Noceda, tooth gaps have become not only more common to see but also viewed as more attractive, but idk growing up it wasn’t really like that but I always loved tooth gaps so. It’s unconventionally attractive to ME okay let me live my delusions </3

first off, water flavoring packets!

Only the powdered stuff, not the liquid stuff of course, and the brand doesn’t really matter for me. However, this brand specifically is what got me into it. During the summer I was easily chugging a daily intake of water with these. It got to a point where I would drink like 4 packets a day if not more, which if you’ve ever taken the time to ever have a critical thought or look at the back of the packaging, you would know you should absolutely not do that. But I’m alive, so. Live laugh drink powdered crap. All honesty tho this gets me going like nothing else. Hear me out in the sense that I cannot live with out it.

yeah that’s the stuff. As someone who has had astigmatism combined with the fact that I never wear my glasses like I should, I experience this far too often but I love it every time. keeping with how I mentioned Colorado earlier, I think the state of Colorado itself is like. 10/10. Certified hottie. I’m very biased and I don’t care. I mean, look at it. It’s almost perfectly squared, it’s a primarily blue state, it’s got like. Literally everything. It’s got springs and fields and mountains, not those puny rocks in the east but REAL mountains, and mesas/plateaus and red rocks and beautiful aspen trees that look aflame during the autumn. It’s actually the most beautiful state and I wish I could be there every day. You get snow AND summer. What more could you ask for? #coloradopleasesponsorme
