pairing: jack abbot x f!reader word count: 2k and i have so many other ideas, lmk if you want more parts! notes: this one goes out to the nonny in my inbox when i asked for ideas! i kinda blended both your ex!reader and babydaddy!jack ideas! hope you enjoy!
You ended things amicably — as amicably as two people can when love’s still there but the capacity to hold it isn’t. Jack didn’t have space for you, your kid, his job, and his trauma. Something had to give.
But you co-parent well enough. There are bumps, but the rhythm is there.
Usually, handoffs are easy. He comes over, eats dinner with you both like old times, then wrangles Beau back to his place. But today’s different — off-cycle. You’re headed to the airport for a work trip, and Jack’s just wrapping up a shift, so you agree to meet at the hospital.
It feels strange walking in. You haven’t been back since the two of you ended things. There are plenty of familiar faces… and a few new ones.
The second Beau sees Jack, he’s wriggling out of your hand.
“Beau—no running in the ER—” you start, but he’s already barreling toward his dad.
“Oof, kiddo, remember we said soft hugs?” Jack laughs, catching him easily, hoisting him up into his arms.
Dana and Robby round the corner just then.
“Hey, look who it is!” Dana says, but Beau clams up, burying his face in Jack’s neck.
“Sorry, you know kids. He’s shy this early,” you say, brushing a hand down Beau’s back. “Be nice to Dana and Uncle Robby, baby.”
“It’s been so long since we’ve seen either of you around,” Dana says, pulling you into a quick hug. “I only get my Baby Beau fix from Instagram stories now.”
“Oh, I figured Jack would still be throwing his infamous backyard parties,” you say, trying to keep it light.
“Nope, those petered out. What’s it been—three years?” Robby glances at his watch, then at Jack with a pointed look.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize what he’s referencing.
Samira passes by next, lighting up at the sight of Beau. “Hi, Beau! Didn’t know I’d get to see you today!”
“Hi, ‘mira,” Beau murmurs, a soft smile still pressed into his dad’s shoulder.
“Sorry to interrupt, Jack—could I get your opinion on something before you head out?”
Jack looks around. You jump in before he has to juggle.
“I’ve got a few minutes. I can set him up in the lounge?”
Jack nods, grateful. “That would be amazing. It’ll just be a minute.”
As you head down the hallway, you catch a whisper from a pair of interns behind you.
“Damn, didn’t know Abbot married a hottie.”
Dana’s voice cuts in, dry: “Not married. She’s smart enough to not sign a contract with a guy who’s half in love with his job.”
You finish laying out Beau’s coloring book when Jack slips into the lounge, pouring himself a coffee, rubbing at one eye. That tired, end-of-shift look still gets you.
“You know, you could’ve told me you were d-a-t-i-n-g,” you say.
“Huh?” he blinks. “Want a cup?”
“I’m running late,” you wave him off. “And I don’t mind — I just think maybe we should tell each other when new stuff like that comes up. For his sake.”
Jack straightens, confused. “I have no idea what you're talking about. And you didn’t give me a heads up about Carl or Craig or whatever his name was.”
“Chris. And yeah, I should’ve told you. I did tell you, eventually. I’m working on being better about communication, and I’d hope you’d want the same.”
He sighs, then pulls you just outside the lounge, out of earshot.
“Okay, I don’t want to make you even later, but if we’re going to talk, then talk. Don’t allude to stuff — just say it.”
You exhale. “I thought maybe you and Samira were… seeing each other. From the way she spoke to Beau. And the looks from Dana and Robby—”
Jack actually laughs. “She’s 29. I’m her attending. We grab coffee, I mentor her. Sometimes when I have Beau, yeah. If that bothers you, I’ll keep it in mind. But I’m trying to be a good doctor. A good mentor. A good… whatever to you. And it still feels like I’m messing it all up. So just—don’t assume. Talk to me.”
You flush. “You’re right. I’m sorry. I’m just stressed.”
He twists a strand of your hair between his fingers, gently. “Y’know… would take a lot of stress off both of us if you moved back in. We could split the chores. Carpool. Coordinate pickups. Plus, I can think of a few stress relievers we used to be real good at…”
You swat his hand. “Okay, sure. Ha. Ha. I’m going to say bye to Beau. See you Saturday.”
On your way out, you pass Dana outside on her cigarette break.
“You know, a couple doctors I know say those things kill you.”
She exhales a laugh. “Not if this job kills me first. Life’s too short already to deprive yourself of the things — or people — you love.”
“Sure, Dana.”
“Any time, missy. And just so you know… he’s different. He’s been going through it, but he’s doing the work. Seeing that therapist. Doesn’t come in as much on his days off. There’s some… balance there now.”
“Sure, Dana. Bye, Dana.”
But the thought lingers.
Two days into your trip, you’re feeling a bit lonely. It always hits harder when Jack has him. You don’t usually FaceTime when they’re together — boundaries. But this feels like an exception.
you: how’s my boy? jack: i’m doing great. how’s my girl? you: 🙄 you: how’s Beaujack: see, you gotta be more direct. a man could get confused jack: he’s great. hit a double. got a popsicle. we’re watching transformers for the 80th time. classic boys night. you: bad time to try to facetime?
Incoming Call: Jack Abbot (ICE)
You swipe to answer, suddenly aware of the dark circles under your eyes, still in the hotel bed after a full day of networking.
“Mooooommyyyy!” Beau’s voice shrieks through the phone. “I did so good at baseball and then got a treat and Daddy made pasta and we’re gonna watch a movie!”
“That sounds amazing, baby! Are you having a good time?”
“The best! When do you come back?”
“Three sleeps.”
“And then we have Mommy and Daddy time?”
“Of course. You think about what you want to eat, okay? I’ll pick it up on the way.”
“Okay. And then we all sleep here?”
You pause. “No, baby. Remember? I sleep at my house, Daddy sleeps at his. You sleep at either.”
He gets quiet. Your chest aches.
“Alright, time for jammies and teeth. Go get ready, kiddo.” you hear shouted from the other room.
“Okay, bye Mom!” he says, dropping the phone.
Jack’s face replaces the ceiling. “I like hearing your voice in the living room again. Makes the house feel full.”
“Jack. You gotta stop.”
“Just saying. Beau’s not the only one who likes the sound of you here. My offer’s still on the table.”
You roll your eyes. “Sure, Jack. Hey… would it be okay if I called again Friday? I know we don’t usually, but… I miss him.”
“You’re never a bother. I could strap the iPad to my chest, have you join us for the whole day.”
You laugh. “God, Jack. You really know how to make a girl’s night better.”
“Oh baby, don’t I always.”
“Bye, Jack.” you roll your eyes, but you’re still smiling when you hang up.
--
The weather turned halfway through your drive from the airport, and between the stop for food and the hike from the only available parking spot, it feels like you swam the last block.
Jack opens the door barefoot, in joggers and a hoodie, towel slung over his shoulder.
“Hey,” you breathe.
“Hey,” he says, eyes flicking down to your drenched clothes. “Jesus.” He reaches instinctively for your bag, handing you the towel, hand brushing yours. “C’mon. Let’s get you warm.”
You step inside. Beau’s already wrapped around your legs before you can shrug off your coat. Jack disappears into the kitchen, already dishing out dinner.
“You don’t have to—”
“Just eat,” he says, setting a bowl in front of you. “You’re freezing.”
You sit. The food’s still warm, garlicky, comforting. You glance up at him. “You’ve gotten better at this.”
“Ordering takeout?” he teases, leaning against the counter.
You laugh, shaking your head. “No… this.” You wave a hand vaguely at the house — the toys in the living room, the quiet rhythm of it all. “The parenting. The life stuff. You don’t seem rattled anymore.”
He gives a half-shrug. “Had to be better.”
You eat in companionable silence while Beau chatters from his spot at the table, recapping his week in half-sentences and excited tangents.
“Mom, can I watch a show while you finish?”
“Dad’s house, dad’s rules,” you say, looking to Jack.
“Sure thing, kiddo. But grab your gifts for Mom first — then one episode.”
Beau vanishes.
“Gifts?” you ask, raising an eyebrow.
Jack shrugs like it’s nothing. “Just some stuff he made. He’s proud of it.”
The silence that follows stretches, not quite awkward, but thick with something unspoken.
Then Jack says, low and clear, “I miss you.”
You look up, startled. Heart catching in your chest.
“I know I don’t say it often. Or the right way. But I do. I miss you. Not just the idea of you being around — you.” He runs a hand through his hair. “I’ve been thinking about how it felt, before things got hard. And… how lately, it’s been feeling like that again. When you’re here.”
You put your fork down, gently. “Jack…”
“I’m not asking to go back. Or to pretend the last few years didn’t happen. I’m just wondering if maybe we could try something new. Something more intentional.” He gestures faintly in the direction of Beau’s room. “We’ve already rebuilt the foundation, haven’t we?”
You study him. The steadiness in his eyes. The quiet way he’s offering — not demanding.
Finally, you exhale. “I didn’t think I’d get another version of you.”
“I didn’t think I had another version to give,” he says softly.
“So… what are you saying, exactly?”
“I’m saying I want you back,” he murmurs. “In the way that counts. I want to build this life with you — not just pass each other in it.”
You reach up, cup his cheek. “That’s a really nice speech.”
“I practiced,” he grins.
“You’re still kind of an idiot.”
His smile widens. He brushes a damp strand of hair off your forehead. “I said I’ve grown, not become a completely new person.”
You let out a breath you hadn’t realized you’d been holding. “Okay. So how do we do this?”
“What?”
“I’m not just moving back in and jumping into bed with you, Jack. You still have a lot to prove.”
“Of course,” he says, straightening a bit. “I was thinking… maybe a family movie night tomorrow? Something easy.”
“Okay,” you nod. “I like the sound of that.”
“And if that goes well, maybe a grown-up movie night? I’ll wine and dine you. And we can make out in the back row like teenagers.”
You laugh, big and genuine. “I think I like the sound of that too.”
“God, I missed your laugh.”
The silence that settles then feels different. Full, not tense.
Then Jack says, almost too casually, “Oh — I’m switching to days.”
You blink. “Wait, what?”
“Robby and I talked. Figured I’d use this week off to reset my sleep schedule. I start the day shift officially tomorrow.”
Your jaw drops slightly. “Jack…”
“This isn’t about you. Well — a little. But it’s mostly about Beau. Nights just aren’t sustainable anymore, and I want a more stable schedule for him. It’s time.”
You reach up, fingers brushing the side of his hair. “Okay. But only if it’s right for you. I never wanted you to give up what you love.”
“I’m not giving up what I love,” he says, voice quiet but sure. “I did that three years ago. I’m just rearranging things now — so I don’t lose it again.”
You don’t answer with words.
You just kiss him. Soft. Certain.
And when Beau comes racing back in with a construction-paper-wrapped something clutched in his hands, he skids to a stop and grins.
“Are you guys kissing?”
Jack smirks against your forehead. “Yeah, bud. I think we might be.”

going, going, gone - c.f
summary: y/n’s the only person who can get conrad, and he realizes that maybe he’s been falling for the wrong conklin.
conrad fisher x conklin!reader
gif from @conradfiisher
a/n: this will likely have a part two, so it probably won’t end here!! no promises as to when pt 2 is out but it will be there eventually ;)) this is literally me wishing i could slap some sense into belly
part two
“hey,” y/n greets, stepping into the beach house and finding conrad unpacking.
“hi,” he smiles lightly. the past few months have been nearly impossible. trying to crack conrad open is like trying to break into a safe. it took y/n forever to be able to understand conrad, and now that she finally did, there was an undeniable spark. she could sense the tension in his mind, knowing that something had set him off. he looked like he just wanted to break down, but he didn’t want to. if he did, he doesn’t know how to put himself back together.
“you ok?” she asks, cautiously. he’s almost like a wild animal, get too close and he runs away. especially since susannah died, he hasn’t been able to find a connection like the one he had with his mother.
“fine,” he mumbles, folding a few blankets onto the couch and placing some pillows beside it.
“conrad, don’t play this game with me again,” y/n sighs, stepping closer to him. he pauses in his movements to look up at her, slapping one last piece of decor on the mantle. “can we at least talk about the exam?”
“i, um,” he stutters, unable to find the right words that have disappeared in his mind. it’s like he completely pushed out the exam, all the other events had forcefully taken the excitement from it. “i feel really good about it, but it’s just an exam.”
y/n can tell in his slumped stance that something is truly disturbing him. he looks broken, and whoever did it certainly failed to put the pieces back together. it appears that they didn’t even try. “talk to me, conrad. please?”
he stops, breaking eye contact. he can’t look at her while he tells her because she can’t see his face when he says it. he doesn’t want y/n to see him crack under the pressure again.
“jeremiah and belly were making out on my car when i came out of testing. i walked out and there they were.”
“what?” y/n spits out, thinking about everything belly had told her before. “i thought she said she moved on-“
“yeah, i did, too,” his voice breaks, still avoiding any looks to y/n. if y/n sees him falling apart over belly, y/n would probably say something. the last thing conrad wants is for belly to know the affect this had on him.
“conrad, you know you can talk to me, right?” she steps closer, wanting to reach out her hand to him but knowing he probably doesn’t want it. he wants belly’s. “anything you say to me won’t get back to her.”
he slightly turns, finally letting his eyes wander up y/n’s body until they meet hers. he’s always found a trust in y/n. she’s been there since they were little kids, but it’s always felt different. there was an innocence to her, she felt like home and he could always run back to her if he needed her. he wouldn’t be able to handle it if he ruined that.
“i’m just so tired, y/n. it’s just one step forward and two steps back. i thought we could finally be over this, but they both just stabbed me in the back. on my car, during my test, in my hoodie. my mom always said belly was destined for me, but it just feels like jere took that.”
y/n can feel the hurt as well as see it on conrad’s face. she’s able to read him so well now that he’s not afraid to open up. she feels like they’ve gotten through a door, a point where they can share secrets and find a safety net in the other. “belly doesn’t deserve you, conrad. she’s not as mature as you, and you can thrive without her, i swear.”
“i’ll be ok, i just need a break from all this shit,” he groans, allowing y/n to finally walk up to him and hold his hand. “i don’t know if we can go back to the way things were after this.”
“i know i can’t change what happened, but i need you to understand that you’re not alone. at this point, you come first to me.” he nods, and y/n can see the sunrise in his face a bit more, but his mind is still covered with darkness. “if you need anything, please call me or come see me, ok?”
“deal,” he cracks a little grin, making y/n smile a bit in return.
“take care of yourself, connie,” she says before opening the front door. she starts the long drive home knowing what’s waiting for her there.
she plants her stuff down on the counter, letting her body relax after the hours behind the wheel. she starts to clean up some of the mess that she left on the counter when she hears squeaky footsteps come down the stairs.
“hey, you’re back already?” belly says, lurking into the kitchen to lean against the frame. y/n doesn’t say anything, she just looks at her and continues to organize everything. “what’s wrong, why do you look like that?”
“honestly, belly, i’m just trying to figure out what to say to you.”
“what do you mean?” belly asks, trying to think about why her older sister could have a reason to be mad at her.
“i stopped at cousins on the way home,” y/n informs her, belly knowing exactly where she left conrad.
“y/n, you can’t be pissed off because of what he told you-“
“no, belly, i have every right to be pissed. i’m pissed for conrad. you left him in the dust and you have no shame about it.”
“it just happened, jeremiah and i. i never wanted to hurt conrad, but im in love!”
“yeah, you were also in love last week with conrad. and the week before with jeremiah. you need to move on from them, bell,” y/n sighs, allowing belly some time to build another response.
“who are you to even say that?”
“because i’ve been there for both of them! i was there for jeremiah when you wanted conrad. i’m there for conrad because you are playing with their hearts like they’re toys. i can tell your hearts not fully in it with jeremiah, but i’m not gonna let you destroy those boys even more.”
“how am i destroying them?”
“belly, wipe that innocence off your face. you’ve managed to rip apart the fisher brothers because you cannot pick which one you like more.”
“but-“
“no, belly! listen to me,” y/n cuts her off before she can try and make anything better. “you couldn’t even contain yourself at susannah’s funeral because you were too worried about conrad. i know we are all grieving, but you are acting like you’re more worried about which brother likes you more. it’s exhausting having to clean up the mess you make over and over again. you’re slowly ruining this bond for me, for steven, for mom! you know i love you more than words, but if you keep playing with their feelings, belly, this family is going to be destroyed.”
“y/n, susannah told me-“
“use susannah as an excuse one more fucking time, belly.” the room goes deadly silent, y/n sick of the excuses and victimized mentality of belly. when steven comes stepping quietly into the room, he ganders softly into the chaotic mess that has formed between his sisters. she swipes her keys back off the table, grabbing an extra bag out of the closet. “i’ll be back.”
“where are you going?” belly says, eyes full of tears from her fear of confrontation. her voice was shaky, and y/n could still feel a sting of guilt in her chest. she hated to build a bigger wall between everyone, but belly had to hear it.
“i’m going to look after conrad, because you failed to do it,” y/n ends their conversation, slamming the front door behind her and moving to the car. she left the house with a terrible tone, but someone else needed her more. belly had jeremiah, taylor, steven, laurel, anyone she wanted. conrad had y/n, and that became enough for him.

Rain, Cinnamon, Cologne, and Conditioner
pairing: sirius black x reader
summary: Amortentia week is always chaotic. Especially so when you're lab partners with longtime frenemy sirius black
warnings: Language maybe, fic from reader's pov
a/n: been forever since i wrote for a marauder, lets hope this is acceptable 🙏🏻
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although Slughorn certainly meant well, there was simply nothing that one could do to hate him a bit less during Amortentia week. Dramatic breakups preceded by "What do you MEAN you smell my sister's perfume!?", and hasty love confessions followed by immediate regret, for a spectator like me this was the best week ever at Hogwarts.
The class smelled faintly of rain and cinnamon to me, a lingering effect of the neighboring cauldrons.
"I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to be smelling here, like, I am certain no one has smelled this exact smell before."
"James, come on, that is clearly Lavender."
"What?"
"I smell Lavender!" she said, weirdly enthusiastic about the smell.
"Lily, honey, say that again but slowly."
It took her a minute before she realized. Even the smartest people get confuddled sometimes. Of course, she'll never know what it smelled like to him.
Somewhere in the back, I saw Lucius Malfoy almost poke some poor kid's eye out with his wand, and next to his table was Severus Snape, staring menacingly into a cauldron that definitely did not have Amortentia in it. He was a weird kid. Creeps me out still.
Anyway, that brings us to Sirius and I, who couldn't agree on who gets to put the sneezewort in.
"After you," I said, not wanting to bear the brunt of what will follow. You see, Sneezewort gets its name from the fact that whenever it's added to a potion, it produces a puff of smoke that causes those closest to sneeze for a good entire minute.
"Oh, no, go ahead. I insist."
"Well, I insist more."
"I insist the most, then."
"Sirius, come on."
"Hey, you started it!"
"Well, you end it. I don't want to keep sneezing!"
"Oh, good, because it's my favorite hobby, sneezing incessantly."
There was no compromise in sight. That is, until-
"Alright Sirius, I'll tell you what. You convince Peter to do this, I'll get Marlene to go with you to Hogsmeade. For real this time."
"Please, I don't need you to be my wingman, I'm perfectly charming all on my own, thank you very much," he said, signature smirk decorating his face.
"You know you need my hel-"
"Yes I do, I was kidding, thank you so much, I love you."
I shook my head and laughed while waiting for Peter to take whatever bait Sirius was laying out. Sure, he was presumptuous and annoying, and the banter was endless, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't look forward to it every day at this point.
After Remus begrudgingly dragged a red-in-the-face Peter away from our table, we stirred the potion 3 times, and all that was left was to add the pieces of Lovelog. We added them at the same time and instinctively held our breaths and waited for the potion to turn pink, which it did. However, it didn't work.
"Dude, I smell nothing."
"Yes, thanks for pointing it out, (Y/n). Extremely astute observation. 10 points to Gryffindor."
"Oh, okay, sure, be all haughty after fucking up the potion."
"I fucked up? That's presumptuous! For all we know, you screwed up."
"Please, I used Slughorn's recipe down to the smallest detail there is no way it was me. You were the one who kept taking off to 'charm Marlene with your smile' every 5 minutes."
"Hey. I'm playing the long game and it will work. Eventually. Just- Admit that you screwed up, please?"
"Oh, no, no we are not doing this. Remus, could you come here, please?"
"Me? Oh, no, love. I am not getting involved with this," said Remus, vaguely gesturing in our general direction.
James threw a raisin-looking thing at Sirius' head to get his attention which met its mark, followed by a faint 'ow'.
"Oi dickhead! Lily says you're potion's working fine. She smells Lavender."
"Well dip me in milk and call me a cookie 'cause I cannot smell anything for the life of me over that fruity conditioner of yours," said Sirius, in an annoyingly accusatory tone that set me over the edge because well first of all fuck you. second of all-
"Oh, you're one to talk Mr I-must-use-the-entire-bottle-of-cologne. You smell like an axe showroom" Yeah, get his ass, me. "Also, I didn't use conditioner today, you pompous dick."
"Yeah? Well, get ready to feel stupid because I ran out of cologne yesterday. Ha. In your face." Wait, what?
Silence.
Contemplative silence.
A whole lot of good old silence.
Faces contorting in ways like never before as we unpack what just happened, in sweet, painful, silence.
"(Y/n) did you-"
"Uh-uh. Yep. Apparently. And you, uh,"
"Big time, yes."
"Oh, okay, so, uh, what now?"
"We could talk about it?"
Sirius Black wants to "talk it out". Yeah, we don't got this.
"Hey morons, you need to fu-"
"Yeah, thank you, Remus. We got it." "Yeah, Cheers, mate."

Old Blood, New Family
Sam and Dean Winchester & little sister!reader
A/N: I set this during season 5 episode 16, the episode where the boys are in heaven reliving memories, and the sister is with them.
Requested by Anonymous
“Just keep going down the road, I guess,” Dean said. “We’ve gotta hit the end eventually.”
“Where are we?” Sam began to look around in bewilderment as the road turned into more of a tree-lined path.
“I know these woods,” you muttered to yourself. “But this…this can’t be right. This wouldn’t be in heaven.” You pushed through the trees, and it took the boys a moment to realize that you were straying away from them.
“Hey, wait!” Dean called after you, and both boys ran to catch up. “Whoa!” Dean staggered back in surprise when he caught up and got a good look at you.
“What?” You asked, frowning at him.
“You…don’t look like you,” Sam said.
You looked down, taking stock of yourself. You were a lot shorter suddenly, your body thinner and covered in bruises.
“Kid—“ Dean’s voice was low and gravelly, his eyes flashing with anger when he saw his baby sister hurt. “Where are we?”
“It’s—um—“ you had slowed down, your whole body tensing with every movement of the trees. “We’re close to my mom’s house.”
Dean grit his teeth—John had told Dean that he’d gotten you out of a rough home life, but Dean had never seen you banged up like this before—there was barely any skin showing that wasn’t bruised or cut, and you looked like you hadn’t eaten in days. Your hair was matted and greasy, like you hadn’t been allowed to shower—it wasn’t like you not to take care of yourself if you had the ability.
“Maybe it’s my heaven,” Dean spit out, his fist clenching. “Because I’d love nothing more than to beat the crap out of whoever’s in that house.” Dean jutted his chin out towards a house in the distance—your house.
“It’s memories,” Sam reminded him gently, although he didn’t look any less angry. He masked it quicker, however, and turned to you. “Let’s just keep walking—we don’t have to stick around here.”
“I just—I don’t know why this would be in my heaven,” you babbled. “I mean I-I never wanted to see this place again, and I thought that—“
“Hey.” Sam put his hands on your shoulders, snatching your attention. “It’s ok, forget about it. This whole place seems pretty screwy, let’s just go.”
“No no no.” You flinched away from the brothers when an angry voice yelled your name through the trees. Your body went into autopilot, sending you to the one place where you could feel safe. The boys tripped over roots and bushes as the struggled to keep up with you while you dashed and ducked through the woods, coming to rest only when you’d reached your haven.
A huge root from a towering oak tree created a wooden shield that you ducked behind, huddled among the leaves as you caught your breath.
“She’s coming she’s coming she’s coming,” you whimpered, rocking back and forth as you struggled to breathe.
“Hey, hey,” Dean soothed. “Kid, she’s not gonna touch you, I promise. She’s never gonna hurt you again, we won’t let her.”
“You can’t touch her,” you whimpered. “It’s my memory, remember? You-you can’t do anything.”
“I—“ Dean swallowed. You were right.
“What’s that?” Sam’s head shot up. “Did you hear that?”
“She’s coming,” you sobbed, burying your head in your knees.
“No, no, not her voice,” Sam insisted. “It’s—“
There was another voice calling out your name in the distance—a man’s voice.
When you heard it, your head popped up.
“Wait, I…I remember this,” you said, wiping your tears as your breath slowly got stronger. “She brought a man home again,” you breathed, glancing through the trees trying to see the source of the voice. “I-I had thought it was just another drunk one-night stand, so I ran for here. But-but when he found me…”
“There you are.” Your explanation was cut off by the appearance of John Winchester stepping around a tree. “Easy.” John held his hands up innocently. “I wasn’t tryna scare you there.” John took in the little nook you’d hidden yourself in. “I won’t tell your mom about this little hiding spot, I swear. I just wanted to talk to you. I…I don’t know what your mom has said about me, but I…I’m your dad, kid.”
You didn’t say anything; you just stared up at the man.
“Your mom, she…she didn’t want me to meet you,” John went on. “I had a bad feeling about that.” John took in your battered appearance. “It’s because she hurts you, right?”
You nodded timidly, remaining silent. The brothers just watched, unable to find the words; dad had never told them exactly how he’d gotten you, and they’d never imagined it would be this bad.
You flinched hard when your mother’s voice rang out again, closer.
“Hey, it’s ok,” John soothed. “I’m not gonna let her hurt you. Look, I know you don’t know or trust me, but I wanna help you. Nobody deserves to be treated the way your mom treats you. Now I can’t exactly go to the cops about this, because they’re gonna have a lot of questions about me that I can’t answer. So I need you to make a choice right now.” John placed his hand on your cheek, his touch feather light. You leaned into subconsciously—no one had ever been that gentle with you before. “You gotta choose,” John continued. “If you wanna stay here with your mom…or come with me.”
You swallowed hard, gaping up at John.
“My life’s not easy,” he added. “I move around a lot—I’ve got two boys, they’re a lot older than you, and I can’t promise you’ll always be safe, but…but I can promise that I’ll never hit you like she does.” John swallowed. “What’s it gonna be, kiddo?”
You stared up at John for a long moment, his rough but gentle hand still on your cheek. His soft eyes bore into yours, and he never once looked away, even as your mother’s voice got closer.
You threw yourself into John’s arms, almost knocking him off balance.
“Please take me away,” you whimpered, tears brimming in your eyes. “Dad, please take me with you.”
John’s arms tightened around you as he cradled your head in his hands.
“I’ll take you home, kiddo,” he breathed. “I’ll take you home, I promise.”
Dean noticed when the memory of John began to fade, and he rushed to take his father’s place, taking you in his arms as you started to cry.
“I’ve got you,” he promised. “Sweetheart I’m right here, I got you.”
The woods had faded away, along with John and your mother’s voice and the bruises on your body.
“That was the first time I ever felt safe.” Your voice was muffled against Dean’s shirt as you refused to let go of him. “Dad saved me.”
“I know,” Dean said. “I know, kiddo.”
“We—“ Sam swallowed. “We have to keep going.”
“I’m ok,” you sniffled, finally pulling away from Dean, but still gripping his hand in yours. “I’m—I just…seeing him again…”
“Hey—“ Sam pulled you away from Dean long enough to wrap his arms around you. “I know, I know. I’m so sorry, I never knew…what it was like before he found you.”
“It doesn’t matter now.” Your smile—albeit faint—was finally returning as you looked up at your brothers. “You guys are my real family.”

⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ LET ME LOVE YOU
P1HARMONY hyung line when they accidentally confess to you
a/n : sorry if these lowkey suck.. i ran out of ideas...

KEEHO and you loved shopping together. it was a routine for both of you since you were absolute shopaholics, so might as well share the experience together, no?
you were both strolling around the mall, several bags in his grasp despite your insistence that you could carry a few bags (he wouldn't listen, of course, since he was just as stubborn as you). your eyes lock on a certain jewelry shop, a glimmer in your eyes as your eyes lock on a pair of gorgeous earrings and keeho notices your intense stare.
though, you quickly saw the price tag of a few items on display, and your eyes widened in shock, and you groaned.
"god! why are all the pretty things expensive these days..." you mumble, continuing to walk until keeho grabbed your hand and interlocked it with his.
"you want the earrings right?" he says, looking at you with a smile that brightened up your day even more than his amazing offer. but regardless, you nodded eagerly.
you both walked into the store, your eyes wandering to the other things, but you knew it was out of your budget, and you were grateful with what keeho was buying you anyways. once you reached the cash register with the earrings, the cashier inspected the both of you.
"are you two a couple?" she says, and you shake your head no.
"nope!" you say, a bit too quick for keeho's liking (but that was only because you were getting embarrassed).
"maybe we should be, princess..." keeho mumbles, continuing to grab his card from his pocket and pay for the pair of earrings, not realizing his comment until he looks up from his wallet and sees your widened eyes and flushed face.
"..."
"ah, said that outloud didn't i?"
THEO had a habit of going to this small, corner cafe near his apartment whether it was just to get a small cup of coffee, a pastry, or just to intake the smell of the cafe, he would go almost everyday. you were always there as well, leading the two of you to become friends.
you eventually arrived a bit later than you usually do, and you bumped into theo in the middle of the street.
"ah, y/n! youre a bit late today, no?" he says, with a soft smile and a laugh.
"oh shut up, i just came back from a date, thats all." you said, rolling your eyes.
after you said that, theo's face seemed.. sad? upset even, and you were just confused. was it because he had a bad day? did you say something? was it the date that made him upset?
"hey, whats up? you look upset.." you say, placing a hand on his shoulder.
theo sighs, looking a bit annoyed.
"its nothing, just cant believe that someone got to take you out on a date before me.."
JIUNG was the one of the smartest kids in your school, but he was a prime target for bullies. he was constantly getting picked on and bullied by others in his class, but he was unable to defend himself.
that was the case, until you came along.
you were a new transfer, and immediately picked up on how badly he was being treated, and defended him constantly.
whether it would be someone trying to throw paper balls at him, or trying to hurt or ridicule him in the halls, you were always there. this lead to you both becoming best friends, telling eachother everything.
well, almost everything.
and with your help, he eventually ended up making a few friends.
you and jiung were having a short study session for your upcoming exam, but it quickly just became a truth or dare session for the two of you.
"ok jiung, truth or dare?"
he thinks for a moment before answering.
"dare? i guess..."
your eyes widened and you smile, and jiung knows he just made a mistake.
"call your crush, right now. and confess."
his eyes widened, and his face flushed a bright red. he had told you he was friends with his crush, so he couldn't get out of this situation.
he sighed, scrolling through a few of his contacts, debating on which one to call to decieve you into thinking it was someone else, before accidentally clicking on your contact, thinking it was someone else (due to how similar the contact names were) and called you.
your phone rang, and you both looked at eachother with wide eyes.
"shit."

You should write a little sister fic where she is in a bad mood and like yells at Chris and it makes him really upset then she realizes she was mean and starts crying and just wanting comfort from him and they like make up and it’s just fluff
“Too Much”
The door slammed harder than it needed to.
Y/N kicked off her shoes and threw her bag onto the floor. The apartment was warm, cozy — the smell of dinner in the air, some song playing faintly from upstairs where Nick was probably messing with speakers again — but it all grated on her nerves like sandpaper.
She stormed toward the kitchen without a word.
Chris glanced up from the stove. “Hey, you’re home late—”
“Don’t start,” she snapped, yanking the fridge open like it had offended her.
He blinked. “I was just saying hi.”
“Well maybe I don’t want to be talked to right now,” she said, slamming the fridge shut and grabbing a cup. “You ever think of that?”
Chris turned off the stove, brows furrowing. “What’s going on with you?”
“Nothing!” she shouted, spinning to face him. “God, can’t I have one bad day without you hovering over me like I’m gonna break?!”
His jaw tensed. “I’m not hovering, Y/N. I’m trying. You came in here like a hurricane, and I’m the one who always ends up picking up the pieces.”
She scoffed. “That’s not true.”
“It is true!” he snapped back, stepping forward. “Every time something’s wrong, I’m the one who has to guess what I did. You don’t talk, you just explode! And I’m sick of getting hit with the fallout!”
“I didn’t ask you to fix me!” she shouted, voice sharp. “You act like I’m some broken thing you have to babysit all the time, like I can’t be trusted to feel anything without you hovering!”
Chris flinched like she’d smacked him.
There was a long pause. His voice dropped, low and wounded. “That’s how you see me?”
The words echoed between them — loud in the sudden silence.
Y/N froze.
Chris stepped back, shaking his head. “I cook for you. I stay up worrying. I cover for you when you shut down. I’m not doing that because I think you’re broken. I’m doing it because I love you, and I want to take care of you. But if that makes me the bad guy, then fine.”
He walked past her.
“I didn’t mean—” she tried.
“I know,” he said over his shoulder, heading toward his room. “But it still hurt.”
And then he was gone.
The second his door clicked shut, Y/N felt it.
The anger drained out of her all at once, replaced by a hot, panicked wave of guilt that hit like a truck. Her knees wobbled. Her throat tightened. You hurt him. Not just annoyed — hurt him. The one person who always showed up for her.
She was crying before she even got the door open.
⸻
Chris was sitting at the edge of his bed, elbows on his knees, staring blankly at the floor when she slipped in.
“Chris…” Her voice cracked.
He didn’t look up.
Y/N walked straight over and dropped to her knees in front of him. “I didn’t mean what I said.”
“I know,” he said quietly.
“I was mad. And tired. And everything felt too big. And I took it out on you because you’re the only safe thing I have and I thought… if I yelled, it would make the feelings stop.”
He looked at her now, eyes soft but still guarded.
“I’m so sorry,” she whispered, voice shaking. “You’re the only one who makes me feel like I’m not drowning. And I was so mean. I didn’t even realize how bad it was until I saw your face and—” Her voice cracked completely.
Chris leaned forward, wrapping his arms around her tight.
She burst into full sobs in his chest, clinging to the front of his hoodie like a little kid. “I’m sorry I hurt you.”
“You didn’t break anything,” he murmured, holding her steady. “You’re allowed to lose it. You just have to come back.”
“I’m back,” she whispered.
They sat there for a long time — her on the floor, him on the edge of the bed, arms around each other like the world couldn’t touch them in that moment.
Eventually, Chris kissed the top of her head. “Wanna go yell at a pint of ice cream together?”
She sniffled. “Only if we throw a spoon at it dramatically first.”
He smiled. “Atta girl.”

You just moved in a house in Germany. It was a dreamy place, especially in winter.
A white cloth of snow covered your yard. You and your dog, Britney, loved to play outside in the cold weather. One day, you were just back from work when you found your neighbour waiting for you outside your property.
Ah yes, your neighbour, a 30-something year old divorced dad, very cute and very blond, who apparently didn’t have time to introduce himself yet.
“Your dog destroyed the snowman my daughters made.” He began, in a harsh tone. Is ‘hello’ out of fashion now?
You frowned. “What?”
He pointed to the part of the courtyard that your houses shared. You could just see a heap of snow in the middle. “I don’t see any snowman.”
“Well maybe because your dog destroyed it, as I just said.” His tone was more annoyed now. You still couldn’t understand what he wanted from you, so you kept looking at him, raising your eyebrow and shrugging. He sighed. “Let me explain it in easier terms. My daughters are here for Christmas Holidays and I want them to have the time of their lives. Please, keep your dog at bay.”
Whatever, you certainly wouldn’t let that ruin your day, so you went on like nothing happened. But the next day, at the same hour, he was there, once again. Arms crossed and furious blue eyes.
“What now?”
“My kids built a snowman again. And your stupid dog destroyed it. Again.”
“Hey! Don’t call my dog ‘stupid’!” What a dick. He was seriously starting to get on your nerves.
“You lock your dog then!”
“I won’t! Britney is free to do what she wants!”
He scoffed. “Of course you named her Britney.”
“What’s wrong with that name?” As you were about to insult him further, you realized you had no time to waste with that asshole. You stomped past him and opened your house. “Why don’t you tell your kids to build a snowman in your side of the yard?” You slammed the door behind you.
The bickering went on for a few days, until you decided to straight up ignore your neighbour, hoping he eventually would give up. And a week later he finally did. You weren’t welcomed with his presence complaining in front of your home, at which you were kinda sorry for, somehow. Instead, all you could hear were laughters. Kids’ laughters.
Two girls were running around the courtyard, jumping and playing with Britney. Well, that’s new. You couldn’t help but smile at the sweet sight.
Your smile faded when you saw your neighbour walking towards you. Oh, here he is. You prepared yourself to hear the same, if not angrier, scolding words. But, surprisingly, he wasn’t showing the usual serious expression. “They seem to have fun.”
You couldn’t believe he was actually able of using a kind tone of voice. “Yeah.”
“Maybe we have found a way to keep all three of them busy and happy.” He added, before turning towards you and offering you his hand. “My name’s Nico, by the way. I’m really sorry for the way I behaved. It may have been a little excessive.”
“Only a little?” You asked sarcastically, but shook his cold hand nevertheless. He had a strong hold. “I’m Y/N.”
All of a sudden, your dog ran fast to greet you, followed by the two girls. “Brit–“ you didn’t even have the time to formulate her name, that the dog threw you on the ground, and obviously Nico with you. You ended up literally on top of him, as the dog made a turn and went back to the girls.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry.” You tried to steady yourself, sinking your gloved palms in the snow by his sides. “I’m really doing everything to make you like me, right?”
Nico laughed. “Don’t worry.”
You stared at him laughing, in awe. You had never seen him smile. “You have snow in your hair.”

Hey again! How about we get some more old Predacon buddy maybe during their times in the pits? Or possibly when Optimus or any other Autobot finds a few videos of Predacon buddy in their prime (lol prime) during their time in the pits and they just are shocked to see how violent and possibly terrifying? They were back then or possibly (you can choose either or of these) some of old Predacon buddy interacting with Megatronus and soundwave back then
The children are about to get a glimpse of their grandparent in their youth.
Will they like it?
or Not?
Hope you enjoy!
Bot Buddy the Old Predacon's fight video get seen by Optimus Prime, Wheeljack, Bulkhead, and Ultra Magnus
SFW, Platonic, Cybertronain reader
TFP
The team had stumbled upon a case full of old videos from their latest scouting mission.
Some of the videos held key information on some of the relics they were searching for.
Others held more miscellaneous things that could be used when the time was right.
Then there was a pack of near pristine set of videos full of gladiator fights.
Miko wanted to see them.
Obviously, there was a lot of push back on this from the team.
These fights were not for the faint of heart after all.
But it wasn’t until Miko mentioned that she wanted to see the difference between the gladiator fights on Cybertron versus the ones on Earth that they agreed to put on one video.
This was also conveniently the same time Buddy had left the base to go fly for a bit.
Miko chose one at random and played it on the projector.
The fight was brutal.
At one point it wasn’t even a fair fight.
One of the opponents was so brutal that there were several times that the bots had to cover the kids’ eyes.
The opponent looked a little familiar too…
It wasn’t until the opponent flashed their monstrous wings and roar, that they realized it was a young Buddy.
…
Buddy was going to have to explain some things when they got back from flying.
Team that is rather impressed by Buddy’s strength
This team is reserved for those who are just stunned by Young Buddy’s power over an opponent near triple their size. They took them down in less than 5 minutes! And without flying or having to even use their alt mode! They already knew Buddy was strong, they were one of the strongest members on Team Prime after all. But seeing the video, they can’t help but try to imagine Buddy with even more power at the near flex of their digits. There is an increase in respect for the old Predacon.
Optimus Prime
Ultra Magnus
Bulkhead
Wheeljack
Team that is slightly scared of Buddy
This team is reserved for those who now have an underlying fear of Buddy if they didn’t already have one to begin with. It is hard for them to see sweet, old Buddy being a scary monster in the arena when they were younger. They have heard the stories about Buddy winning so many fights and eventually buying their own freedom, but seeing a match like this puts things into perspective. It took Buddy a long time to get their freedom and if the average match was less than 5 minutes… how many opponents did Buddy defeat before freedom? There will be a bit of tension between them and Buddy, but it will not last long.
Bulkhead
Ultra Magnus
Wheeljack
Team that wants to try and replicate Buddy’s moves from the video
This team is reserved for those who took one look at the video and second thought that came to mind was ‘Yeah I can do that too’. These bots will look over the video and any other video of Buddy’s gladiator fights and attempt to recreate it or perfect it. Spoiler: They end up in the med bay a couple of times for doing them wrong.

omg love the idea of steve x childhood friend reader!! could you do that for soda too
Sodapop Curtis x Reader - Childhood Friends

Authors Note - Slowly (but surely) getting back into writing. Fingers crossed I don't have another words aren't wording era. Enjoy!
▪︎ Dear, darling Sodapop
▪︎ I know exactly how you met Sodapop
▪︎ I'm third grade, you got paired up with him for some art project
▪︎ And he sucked ass
▪︎ This kid couldn't do anything
▪︎ He can barely read, his hand writing sucks, he can't color inside the lines
▪︎ But for some reason you liked him enough to stick with him all these years
▪︎ Maybe it was how he apologized at least 50 times that you were carrying the project
▪︎ Or maybe it was how he'd still try his hardest to comprehend the big words on the instructions
▪︎ One of the big words including 'instructions'
▪︎ I personally believe Sodapops dyslexic, you can disagree, go for it
▪︎ But the moment he realized he wanted to stick with you was that project
▪︎ How patient you were with him
▪︎ How you helped him read the instructions
▪︎ How you whispered in his ear whenever he forgot half the words to his presentation
▪︎ He didn't really know what love was, he was a kid
▪︎ But looking back on it, that's the moment he fell
▪︎ Fast forward a few years, middle school.
▪︎ I think around 7th grade Sodapop realized just how hot he was
▪︎ He could've pulled a sophomore if he wanted to
"Ya' see that! She was lookin' at me!"
"Every girl looks at you, Soda, it ain't a big deal."
▪︎ You two still did a lot of projects together
▪︎ Normally you did the work
▪︎ But hey, he was good emotional support
▪︎ Eigth grade
▪︎ Somehow both of you managed to have glow ups the exact same year
▪︎ With his jawline being as sharp as Micheal Myer's knife
▪︎ And your body doing its weird maturing thing
▪︎ Which didn't go unnoticed by Sodapop, by the way
▪︎ He fell for you all over again, only this time he had hormones and you had a body that could kill
▪︎ You hung out around the gang a lot
▪︎ Dallas flirted with you a lot
▪︎ Everytime Soda would butt in
▪︎ Everytime the gang teased him about it when you left
"Ya' like 'em."
"What? Na'"
"So can I date 'em?"
"I'll kill ya'"
"Told ya', likes 'em. Gimme that 10, Two."
"Aw, fuc-"
▪︎ Whenever Soda dropped out of high-school he was all freaked out your friendship would end
▪︎ He thought you'd stick with your school friends
▪︎ Instead you two just got closer
▪︎ You'd catch him up on what drama he was missing while he told you stories from DX
▪︎ It was a daily tradition
▪︎ If you were swamped with homework he wouldn't even try
▪︎ He'd still talk until his lips hurt though
▪︎ YOU COMFORTED HIM AFTER SANDY
▪︎ He came over to your place, all quiet and teary eyed
▪︎ That was the second time he cried in front of you
▪︎ The first being the time a bunch of socs picked on him in 6th grade
▪︎ Anyways
▪︎ Eventually the gang got fed up
▪︎ He was well over Sandy
▪︎ He was head over heels for you
▪︎ You went of your way to see him
▪︎ I think someone bet that Steve couldn't get Soda to date you
▪︎ And Steve went all out
▪︎ He practically threatened Soda
▪︎ Soda did it on his own but Steve takes credit
▪︎ He asked you on one of your catch up nights
"So, remember that sophomore gi-"
"I like ya'."
"What."
▪︎ You just sat there for a second, completely awestruck
▪︎ You were gonna say that sophomore girl that liked him got knocked up
▪︎ But that was pushed into the shadows of your brain
"Uh.. I like you too."
▪︎ This man smiled
▪︎ Like pure
▪︎ '😀'
▪︎ He didn't really know how to express emotions after Sandy
▪︎ So he just kissed you
▪︎ Flat out, lips on lips, kissed you
▪︎ After you pulled away he hugged you, smiling into your neck
▪︎ And you were smiling right back
▪︎ Not that he could see it, but still
▪︎ Took a second and ran to tell the gang
▪︎ They all either
A) Flipped out
Or
B) Expected it and didn't care
▪︎ Either way he was jumping up and down
▪︎ Dallas had to tell him at least 10 times to shut up about you
▪︎ He didn't let you go home
▪︎ Cuz like, he was your boyfriend now, he had to be within 10 feet of you
▪︎ After you two started dating he held your hand every single day
▪︎ Cuz like, he's waited over 5 years for this moment
▪︎ Other then the PDA and dates, nothing changes
▪︎ Yay

You know I was wondering if Crocodile ever did have any kind of involvement with the Revolutionary Army in secret (lest the Government finds out and revokes his Shichibukai status), what kind of involvement would that even have been
And now, with both the Vegapunk/Ohara flashback and Kuma's flashback, it's being made very clear to us that the Revolutionary Army was broke as hell 22 years ago. Like the fact that this has been brought up twice now in a relatively short span of time is interesting to me, that's usually a sign it's not an unimportant plotpoint
But you know who would have had money to help fund the Army
A funny little warlord who would eventually go and build a fucking casino to run for funsies. A warlord who had to give the Government some of his Pirating Income to keep his warlord-status
Like Crocodile hated the Government anyways so why not help fund the Revolutionary Army in secret, out of spite if for no other reason
Vaguely related, but I keep on remembering this scene (post-Enies Lobby), which at first glance just seems like a basic Lore Dump
But then there's the
"Yet..."
(Or "however", she says "no ni" in Japanese and you could translate that in many ways, I would probably have gone with "however" but that wouldn't have fit into the speechbubble)
Mind you, the conversation just kind of ends there, next we see Garp realize he probably shouldn't have mentioned Dragon infront of such a massive audience, so wherever that "yet" was going to lead to we will never find out, because Oda conveniently changed the subject before we got to it
And you know. Like yes, Robin could be just expressing her shock over finding out that the leader of the Revolutionary Army had a child with someone
But also, Robin was a part of an organization that was trying to overthrow one of the founding countries of the World Government in an explicit attempt to go against said Government (compared to like, Blackbeard, who currently wants to make Fullalead into a "pirate country" that's a part OF the World Government)
Like you don't have to be a genius to look at Crocodile's ultimate goals and compare that to what Dragon is doing and find a few similarities here and there maybe
(Also like, Crocodile's equivalent in Romancing SaGa 2 is meant to be Wagnas, the queer-coded leader of the Seven Heroes (whom the OG Shichibukai are based on) who "hoped to help the world". You know, an interesting detail and all.)
Not to mention, during the time Robin spent with Baroque Works, if Crocodile was ever in contact with the Revolutionary Army at all, considdering she has the ability to easily spy on people and that she didn't trust Crocodile one bit, it wouldn't be unsurprising if she ever spied on Crocodile and/or just overheard a phone call or knew about Crocodile having secret spending habits or something
(Mind you, I'm not saying "she knew" Crocodile was involved with the Revolutionaries, more that she might've been Suspecting Things, that "yet" being about her connecting the dots while unsure if her conclusion was right or not)
Of course Crocodile's plans can't have been Dragon Approved by any means, especially considdering the Army had been looking for Robin for over 10 years (pre-timeskip)
Four years of which were with Crocodile. Like if he was FULLY allied with the Army and KNEW they were looking for Robin, surely he would've called Dragon and been like "hey I found the kid from Ohara, wanna come hang out" or something. But no, he had bigger plans and kept Robin a secret from the Revolutionaries and the Government alike
Also like, I have seen people question why the Revolutionaries weren't involved with Alabasta's rebellion at all, and "Oda hadn't come up with the Revolutionaries yet at the time of writing" (/"OP was meant to end at Alabasta at one point so there would've been no reason to introduce the subplot at that point") aside Between Baroque Works being a secret organization working undercover (thus the Army might not have been aware of the civil war being manufactured), the framing of the King making him look bad and very much the type of monarch that deserved to be overthrown in the Army's eyes, and Crocodile maybe lying through his teeth about what was happening in the country... Yeah, the Army's lack of involvement with Alabasta suddenly makes sense
EDIT Minor addition: Just realized that because Crocodile was technically working for the Government, if the Revs ever did send forces to participate in Alabasta's civil army and taking down the throne, the Government could've easily ordered Crocodile to step in to stop the rebellion and take down the Revolutionaries, right? Because he was supposed to be on the Government's side, right? And surely the Army wouldn't have wanted to fight against Crocodile if they were secretly allied (Croc's secret betrayal aside), and if Crocodile refused to fight the Revs the Government could've seen that as a reason to revoke his Shichibukai rights (which wouldn't be great if they wanted to keep Crocodile in a position where he could fund the Army?). So it could've also been a case of it being for the best for everyone's sake to let this one play out "naturally"
But my point is
I'm just deeply intriqued by these little details and wonder if I'm Actually Masterfully Connecting The Dots Like a True Genius or just seeing a pattern where there's none. Like this is far from confirming the theory, I'm just saying, the pieces do kinda fit together do they not
#Moon posting#OP spoilers#chapter 1097#I'm just saying Crocodile being the Revolutionary Army's Secret Sugar Daddy would be hysterical#Not me having to tag this as OP spoilers because of one and a half panels from the latest chapter lmao#Also Croc and Iva knew each other etc etc everybody remembers that I don't need to point it out#((Although in Impel Down Iva-chan does actually tell Bon-chan about Crocodile being imprisoned at Level 6))#((Saying ''he's crazy too in his own way''. Which is an interesting comment. IDK what to make of it. But it's there))#((Like Level 5.5 was able to access news from outside Impel Down to the point they knew Bon-chan had worked under Crocodile))#((To the point Iva-chan was like ''weren't you and Strawhat enemies''. So like. IDK I'm just Intriqued))#You could also make an argument that this could also tie into Crocodile's good ol' trust issues#'Cause if his involvement with the Army was ever found out he'd have his Shichibukai Rights revoked etc#Also interestingly the Kuma flashback has very much skipped completely the period of time during Luffy was born#Going from the founding of the Army 22 years ago to Ginny's kidnapping 14 years ago#Crocodad Real etc (jk)#You know the derangement is bad when I look at one irrelevant line of dialogue and go like ''is this about my blorbo''#OP Meta

The contrast in how Daniel and Robby talked about each other in s2e10 really sticks out.
The morning after Moon's party, Daniel and Amanda realized that Sam hadn't come home.
Amanda: "It still keeps going to her voicemail." Daniel: "Robby's not picking up either. You think they're together?" Amanda: "Well, they are teenagers who have been living together all summer." Daniel: "No way, I'm not ready to go there. You know, I... Trusted Robby. Sam better be okay."
Daniel didn't just get upset that Robby may be dating Sam. Daniel immediately believed that Sam might not be okay because of Robby. Instead of thinking that maybe something bad might have happened to both of them, Daniel was already thinking poorly of Robby; that he was responsible for Sam not coming home because of some wrongdoing on his part. Little did Daniel and Amanda know that Sam had been the one to pursue Robby after he'd turned her down because he didn't want to ruin his relationship with Daniel. Yes, it was Robby’s decision to eventually date Sam, but Sam knew how precarious Robby’s situation was and he had even reminded her of that, but she still led him to believe that she was now interested in him, despite her still having "complicated" feelings about Miguel. Before the party, Amanda told Sam that Amanda knows she can trust Sam to make good choices. (Ha! They still haven't learned. They later listened to Sam about Miguel being a good choice.) Overall, Daniel and Amanda didn't believe Sam would make bad choices. They only believed that Robby would.
After Daniel said that he had trusted Robby and that Sam better be okay, Amanda got into Sam's laptop and saw Aisha's messages mentioning that Sam had gotten drunk and the cops had shown up at the party. Daniel then thought to locate Sam's cell phone and found out that she's in Reseda.
The scene cut to Robby looking through some of Johnny's things and finding his childhood drawings. Robby then came out of the room to talk to Johnny.
Robby: "Hey. Thanks for letting us crash here last night." Johnny: "It's no problem. But, look, I'm gonna have to tell LaRusso about this. It's his kid." Robby: "Look, please don't. If he sees her like this, it'll crush him. Let me take the blame. I'll say I got drunk and told Sam to bring me here."
Robby's main concern was that Daniel not see Sam "like this". As a kid with two alcoholic parents, he knows what it's like to see a loved one "like this". He wanted to spare Daniel from that. Robby knew he would have two strikes against him with Daniel if Robby lied to protect Daniel and Sam from this experience: (1) Sam not coming home that night, and (2) for getting drunk and putting her in that situation.
Johnny said that he had to tell Daniel about it all. But, Johnny shouldn't have been okay with Robby taking the fall for Sam. Johnny showed that he respected Robby for his decision to protect Sam and Daniel in this situation, but Johnny should have said no. I know some will say that Johnny doesn't know how to be a dad so it's okay. But Johnny is the adult here and Robby's parent. He shouldn't let Robby take the fall for Sam, or for anyone. Johnny should have told Robby that it's nice that he wants to do that, but Sam has to come clean about getting drunk.
After this, Daniel showed up, and Johnny told Robby to hide in the room while Johnny dealt with it. Johnny of course mishandled it and Daniel became understandably more aggravated and panicked because of Johnny. They got into a fight, and Sam and Robby came out and stopped them. As Daniel asked Sam if she was okay and why she didn't call, Robby tried to take the fall, like he said he would. He didn't expect Daniel's reaction, though.
Robby: “Mr. LaRusso, it was my fault. I brought her here.” Daniel: “Wait, now, don't even start. I gave you a second chance. This whole thing was a mistake. You know, you wanna end up like him, that's up to you.”
It's important to note that Robby didn't even get the chance to lie that he had gotten drunk. Before Daniel cut Robby off, all Robby said was that it was his fault and he had brought her here. Earlier, Daniel had told Amanda, "I… Trusted Robby. Sam better be okay." Then, from Aisha's message, Daniel had learned that Sam had gotten drunk. Before getting there, Daniel had already assumed that Robby had not only gotten himself drunk but had gotten Sam drunk too. Daniel finding them with Johnny, and Johnny blocking and fighting Daniel to stop him from entering made things worse. Daniel's false assumption about Robby getting Sam drunk, plus Johnny's actions, led to Daniel's outburst: "This whole thing was a mistake. You know, you wanna end up like him, that's up to you."

The next morning...
Daniel: "If you wanted to drive your own car today, you wouldn't have done what you did." Sam: "Dad. How many times do I have to tell you I'm sorry? I made a mistake." Daniel: "Everyone makes mistakes. But when you get in trouble, you come to me or your mom. Not that guy." Sam: "I’m sorry I didn't come to you and Mom. That was my fault, not Robby's." Daniel: "I thought I could help him. But he's got his own family. I need to focus on mine. Just do me a favor, okay? This year, just concentrate on precalculus, okay?"
Here, Daniel makes it clear. He's done with Robby. He's given up on him: "I thought I could help him, but he's got his own family." Daniel had called Robby family in s2e5, but now Daniel clearly said "he's got his own family. I need to focus on mine." Robby was no longer part of Daniel's family. Daniel's belief of Robby being a lost cause, with too much of Johnny in him, had started before the school fight.
Johnny: "You okay? You nervous about your first day?" Robby: "No, but... Just feel bad about Sam and the LaRussos. Johnny sighs… Robby: "I know you don't wanna hear it, but Mr. LaRusso was good to me. Miyagi-Do Karate helped me out a lot." phone rings… Johnny rejects the call…
Robby: "Look... All I'm saying is, maybe you guys can learn a thing or two from each other." Johnny: "All right, you better go." Robby: "Thanks for driving me, Dad."
Daniel's and Johnny's animosities for each other are apparent in these two conservations with their kids and have an impact on how they are with Robby. In Daniel's case, he projects his issues with Johnny onto Robby and easily gave up on him. In Johnny's case, he's dismissive of Robby's feelings and words about Daniel and about Miyagi-Do.
Meanwhile, Robby praised Daniel to Johnny and said that Johnny and Daniel could learn from each other. Robby was grateful to Daniel and was sad about losing him, but he didn't speak ill of him. Just like after Daniel had thrown him out before hearing him out in s1e9, Daniel had thrown him out again without hearing him out. In both instances, Robby didn't speak ill of Daniel or get upset about Daniel kicking him out without hearing him out. Robby was aware both times that he had screwed up and was remorseful. In this instance, that's why Robby also came clean about the medal in his conversation with Sam before the school fight.
Robby: "I have to tell you something. Miguel gave me the Medal of Honor. And I put it in the backyard so someone would find it." Sam: "Why would you do that?" Robby: "I didn't want him to earn any points with you. And we'd just kissed and... I guess I felt insecure." Sam: "Thank you. For telling me the truth." Robby: "Well, it feels better to get that off my chest."
Robby is a great portrayal of healthy masculinity. Not only did he take accountability, he unabashedly admit that he had felt insecure. Even in his conversations with Johnny earlier in the episode, Robby was expressing humility and vulnerability.
I know people really praise Robby and Daniel's relationship in s1 and 2, but I think Daniel's always had his doubts about Robby since s1e9, after finding out that he's Johnny's son. Daniel goes back and forth on his faith in Robby. Moments like those in s2e10 really stick out. Yes, Robby had screwed up, but Daniel's the adult. Daniel so quickly thinks the worst of Robby and discards/dismisses him without understanding more about the situation from him.
In s1e6, after Robby had fallen for Louie's first prank and started the car in the dealership and Daniel yelled at Robby, Daniel followed Robby as he walked out, apologized to him, and told him that he should have heard Robby's side.
Daniel: "Listen, I'm sorry for calling you out inside. All right, that's on me. I should've heard your side of it. You're not the only one with a temper around here."
But, Daniel still didn't hear Robby's side after this. Not in s1e9, not in s2e10, not in s3e10, and not in s4e9. Daniel's temper got the better of him each time. Daniel made judgements on the spot about Robby. Daniel loses his balance because of his issues with Johnny/Cobra Kai.
Also, Robby's reactions to Daniel in s1e6, before Daniel said his apology, were indicative of what he expected from Daniel (and any adult) at the time. When Daniel grabbed his shoulder, Robby immediately raised his fist to fight. Robby was expecting Daniel to hurt him. After Daniel put his hands up in surrender, Robby quickly said, "You don't have to fire me. I quit." Robby also expected immediate rejection and expulsion from Daniel. My post The Neglect of Robby Keene talked about how ingrained it is for Robby to expect abandonment and neglect as punishments. He didn't expect Daniel to hear him out, apologize, or allow him to keep the job. Sadly, since Daniel found out that Robby had hid his original intention for getting a job at LaRusso Auto and that he's Johnny's son, Daniel doesn't hear Robby out before laying down judgement on him. Daniel told Robby that he can learn from his mistakes. But, Daniel himself doesn't make the effort to recognize and learn from his own mistakes with Robby.
In s1e7, Daniel had said "He's a good kid who's had a rough go of it", before Daniel had found out the truth about Robby's parentage. After everything that happened since then, in s4e6, Daniel only remembered to warn Robby about Silver after Amanda talked about teens with anger issues being thought of as lost causes. In s5e6, when Robby called himself a "messed up kid" while giving Daniel validation that he didn't fail Robby (which Daniel did), Daniel didn't correct Robby about his negative view of himself.
In s2e10, after Sam didn't come home after Moon's party, Daniel immediately assumed Robby had done something to put her in a bad situation. Ironically, Miguel is the one who had kissed Sam while she was drunk at that party, whereas Robby did what he could to take care of her. He tried to stop her from drinking more, tried to get her food, helped her get out of there so she wouldn't get arrested, and took her to a safe place to sleep off the alcohol (although, yes, he should have taken her home). In the school fight, Miguel was the one who had attacked Robby, stopped him from protecting Sam, given Tory more of the opportunity to hurt Sam, and kept attacking and antagonizing Robby to the point that Miguel was going to break his arm for no reason at all. Miguel was the threat to both Robby directly and Sam indirectly that day in school, but Daniel doesn't seem to know any of these details. In s3e9, all Sam had to do was tell Daniel to trust her judgement, and Daniel forgot his own question about how Robby would feel if he found out about her and Miguel. Daniel also didn't think much of the fact that Robby had come to Miyagi-Do after all. Daniel was immediately ready to give Miguel a chance and even said "From one All Valley champ to another" after his first conversation with Miguel, now recognizing him as a "real" champ. This is in stark contrast to him calling Miguel "Mr. Cheapshot" after the tournament. It's hard to believe that Daniel would be okay with Miguel if Daniel knew that Miguel had kissed Sam while she was drunk. So, if Daniel doesn't know that Miguel had kissed Sam while she was drunk, that means Daniel doesn't know that important context and likely other important details about the school fight. Because that kiss did come up between Robby and Miguel during the fight when Robby asked Miguel why he had taken advantage of Sam. Also, before the school fight, Miguel told Hawk that he shouldn't have cheated on Tory, but Miguel never once considered that he shouldn't have kissed Sam while she was drunk. Makes his "She doesn't love you. She loves me." line even worse. This isn't the only instance of Miguel not respecting Sam's boundaries because he feels entitled to her. Daniel thinks of Robby as more of a negative influence/threat to Sam because he's Johnny's son so Daniel vilifies Robby so quickly, while Daniel so easily accepted Miguel once he was no longer "Cobra Kai's number one bully", even though Miguel hasn't even taken accountability for his past actions or grown since leaving Cobra Kai.
In s3e2, after seeing Johnny almost kill someone in a rage, Daniel made sure to call the cops before he could even talk to Robby first. I know people side with Daniel in how he handled the situation, but there's a huge difference between giving someone emotional and mental support while showing them that you really do believe in them and don't believe the worst about them as you help them turn themselves in, as opposed to calling the cops on them without properly talking to them first, giving them emotional and mental support they truly need, and understanding their side of what happened. Daniel didn't care about what had happened in the school fight and believed that juvie would "help" Robby, although it had been an accident. Daniel could have at least tried to put up a real fight for him, but Daniel limited his fight to what he believed would "help" Robby based on what Daniel believed happened ("I can't believe Robby would do this", Daniel said with a tone of disbelief that indicated that he did believe Robby did do this on purpose because he has too much Johnny in him). Daniel didn't give Robby the help he really needed based on what had really happened (Robby had a "fight" trauma response because he had been attacked and antagonized to his limit and was going to have his arm snapped for no reason at all by a crazy kid, all while trying to protect Daniel's daughter).
Although most love the Daniel-Robby scene in s5e6, I was saddened by it. Daniel still believes his worst assumptions about Robby, still believes all of his own poor decisions were right, that how he had handled that situation had been right. Daniel had fought for a lesser sentence for Robby, but Daniel never fought for him or his side of the story for the school fight. Robby put all that aside to be the emotionally supportive one, to be the "emotionally mature adult". Daniel was happy to accept Robby's emotional support while also being happy that Robby validated his decisions when Daniel had failed him. But, Daniel hadn't given Robby the emotional support he needed after the school fight and wasn't the "emotionally mature adult" for Robby then, when Robby really needed it. Robby is always expected to be the more emotionally mature one in his relationships with Johnny and with Daniel, but they are the adults and they need to be the more emotionally mature ones with him. And sadly, Robby's humility back in s2 had now crossed over into unhealthy people-pleasing in s5.
I wanted to talk about the contrast in s2e10 in how they spoke to and about each other because it really stood out to me on a recent rewatch of these scenes. While Daniel is rash, judgmental, and dismissive with Robby when he screws up, Robby is humble, accepting of his faults, and is open to hearing what Daniel has to say to him, that is have a real conversation with him (ever since their first conversation in s1e6). Daniel went into that conversation thinking worse of Robby, while Robby just wanted to spare Daniel seeing Sam "like this". The sad thing is that Daniel had spent so many months with Robby before Moon's party, but Daniel treats any mistake by Robby as egregious enough to warrant rejection and removal without any explanation. Daniel told Robby that his mistakes aren't who he is, but just like Daniel doesn't follow the teachings "let go to find balance" and "don't put passion in front of principle", Daniel also doesn't follow the teaching "your mistakes aren't who you are" when it comes to Robby.
Robby has such a good heart, but sadly, he's surrounded by people who don't truly care about him. His emotions and mental health are part of him, but the people around him, including Daniel, don't validate him or his experiences, especially since the school fight.
(As always, please don't comment or reblog with dismissive comments about the nuance in the story. The nuance is part of the story, and the story is exploring important topics like trauma, bullying, dysfunctional relationships, and abuse.)

summary: request
conrad fisher x reader
a/n: i’m so sorry love, sorry this is a few days late but you are so loved and appreciated no matter what, hope this makes you happy today <3
it’s been a recurring theme for most of y/n’s life. the overheard quotes about the older sibling had eventually become a reality. they didn’t even wait for y/n to try and live up to them. instead, they just accepted that their daughter wasn’t as good as the rest of their children.
as upsetting as it is, kids experience it too much. y/n experiences it every day, so when she realized it wasn’t normal, that’s when it started to hurt more every year.
this day was supposed to be different. she was so excited, turning 18 and finally being an adult. free of her parents if she wanted to be. she thought that maybe, just maybe, her parents would think of her for a day, and make it about it. alas, the second she woke up and walked into the kitchen, y/n’s hopes were shut down.
“y/n, can you take y/b/n to practice? i’m going out with sharon today,” her mom said, barely even looking at her.
“uh, i’m leaving in a bit, remember?” she speaks, trying to sound as polite as possible. “the fishers invited me over for today.”
“hon, we get it,” her dad talks next, peering up over his glasses and newspaper of the town. “but, to some point, it’s just another day. just do what your mother asked.”
y/n looks at her little siblings at the table, messing around and receiving no repercussions. she still remembers when that was her. playing with her parents, happier than she ever was again. she loves her siblings to death, but she loves herself, too. y/n deserves more than she’s been given, so she confides. she drives her brother to whatever practice, wishing him luck as he whispers a happy birthday, then jumping out of the car to see his friends.
she’s already dressed up for the party for belly. the fishers had welcomed her with open arms, even having decorations and sweets for her on the table. everyone figured she’d have something going on at home, but oh, they were so wrong. she didn’t receive a single birthday message from the people who gave her life, so did it matter? even if she didn’t believe it, at least the fishers knew she was worth it. she was dressed in one of her best outfits, a simple dress with small flowers printed over. she had small wedges and her hair was done neatly. she felt pretty, she is pretty.
she walked into the house, belly hearing the door open first. she skips toward, engulfing y/n in a huge hug. “y/n!” she squeals. “happy birthday!”
“oh, belly! happy birthday to you, you look so cute!”
“are you kidding? your man’s gonna go wild when he sees you!” she whispers, making y/n blush toward the end.
“belly, stop!” she nudges. “he’s not my man… yet.”
they giggle together before moving back into the kitchen where y/n greets susannah and laurel, along with the rest of the boys. conrad stands up first, in a heartbeat. he walks over, almost lifting y/n off the ground in a hug.
“hey! happy birthday!” he tells her, excitedly as he pulls away. jeremiah comes piling in next, saying his words to the person he considers a sister.
“didn’t y/m/n have anything planned?” susannah asked from the pure kindness in her heart.
“oh,” y/n mutters. “we, uh, we did something yesterday.”
conrad can tell when y/n lies. he can read her like a book at this point. he’s spent so long fanboying over her that he knows what she’s feeling. when she’s sad, excited, pissed, he knows. it pulls at his heart when he can sense the disappointment in her voice. he starts to get more alarmed with every drink she takes throughout the day. she’s not even a big drinker, never really taking an offer. now he’s positive somethings wrong.
if y/n’s parents didn’t care about her, they don’t care if she drinks, right? she’s with her friends, she’s allowed to. plus. it’ll take the edge off of the internal wounds her parents have left her with. her feelings on the whole matter start to disintegrate for a while, until belly’s cake comes out and is handed to her. it’s so nicely done, perfect detail and so much love. they put time into her cake and party, and y/n can’t help the jealousy rising up. she vividly remembers every one of her younger siblings birthdays. all of them having their friends and a party, while y/n was just locked in her room on her birthday. the presents and the cheesy grins from everyone were overwhelming every year. she couldn’t help but think about what it could be like with her real family. maybe they could love her as much as she deserves, but in reality, they won’t. they can, but they chose not to, which hurts even more.
y/n stumbles around on the balcony, around people while carefully savoring every last drop of whatever is in her can. she’s probably had too many, but she doesn’t care. it’s almost like it’s reversed itself now. she watches belly open all of her presents and receive hugs and kisses, and the lump in her throat becomes thicker. she thinks of the alcohol as her enemy now, just bringing back the thoughts in her sober mind.
it’s not until everyone hears the clicking of y/n’s heels on the pavement that they notice her walking away. her hand is swiping away the loose tears and everyone looks at conrad. if there’s anyone y/n wants to see, it’s him. they’ve been in love for so long, it’s almost painful to watch. as she walks away, blurry vision from the alcohol and the tears, she tries to grab another can from the box before a hand stops her.
“i don’t think that’s a good idea,” conrad says, gently taking it out of her hand and landing it back in the box.
“oh, great. more fuckin’ judgment,” she retorts, making conrad’s face contort.
“hey, what’s going on? you’ve been off all day.”
“i am, perfectly fine,” y/n slurs. conrad places a hand on her shoulder, and takes them to sit on the steps. his arm is wrapped around her, the other one gripping her hand.
“i know you’re not. it’s ok to not be ok,” he looks at her nose scrunch and her cheeks turn red again. “hey, hey, don’t cry, you’re alright.”
“no,” she weeps out, putting her head in her hands. “i’m a mess! i don’t know what to do, i cant make it any better and i’ve been trying for 14 fucking years!”
“hold on,” he keeps his voice low. “what do you mean?”
“my parents don’t give a shit. they haven’t since y/b/n was born and they didn’t even bother about me anymore,” conrad pulls her into his arms, leaning back as her teardrops soak into his shirt. “i didn’t do anything for this, and belly’s being loved unconditionally without having to fight for it. and i feel like a bitch getting upset over it but-“
“absolutely not. don’t say that ever again. you don’t deserve anything they’re giving you. anything they’ve said to you is a fucking lie. i know who you are. you’re the most perfect, beautiful person i’ve ever met, inside and out. you don’t have to prove anything to them, because they don’t deserve your amazingness,” he speaks to her. it’s nothing but the truth, and nothing he would ever hesitate to say. “and i will spend forever trying to prove to you that you’re nothing but beautiful a beautiful person.”
y/n looks up at him, only bursting into more tears as he laughs a bit. “oh, my god, conrad. i love you, so much. i know i’m drunk but i mean it more than anything.” she’s felt nothing like she does now. she’s never had someone accept her so quickly and with so much appreciation. she feels like she can do nothing but cry and just love on him.
“i’m glad,” he begins again. “because i love you, too. no matter what your parents say or do. they don’t define you.”
and in this moment, for the first time in a long time, y/n knows someone loves her. and he’s not just saying it for comfort. she doesn’t need her parents to be loved. if they can’t do that, there will forever be someone out there who loves her just as much. she knows she’s enough, and that’s enough.

Teddy anon and ok here I go then lol and got multiple and you can choose which ones you wanna do...but one at the bottom I think would progress the story more and definitely show the...butterfly in the web thing more:
Ok imagine they start to calm down with the gift gifting (unless that is the affection y/n likes the most) and instead start to be more caring and affectionate, doing stuff for y/n and giving them lots of the type of affection that y/n likes the most...ex. touch like hugs or words of affirmation...basically love language that y/n likes the most (yandere twist if you want, they are trying to make y/n dependent on them and get y/n wrapped around their fingers...helplessly in their web lol!) Personally, for me, it's physical affection like hugs but that's just me...
Y/n gets a visit from DE eventually but DE just wanted to deliver it herself...maybe it's y/n's favorite dessert that they eat happily to both build up a better bond aaaand have an excuse to show up to kingdom to talk to cookies about their...plan...this ties in with bottom lol
And now for the on at the bottom...one I can see the most...well actually multiple since I thought of them while typing this out! Brain is a FACTORY for ideas about hyperfixations lmao!:
Ok had ideas for this I can see are...those theories about where y/n comes from? They are a distraction for y/n so they don't know that the cookies know EVERYTHING since I know yanderes love to learn about everything about their love...also can see, to prove to y/n that they love y/n for y/n, not because they see em as a God or possibly have powers...AND to make sure y/n is cut off with no way back to the human world/home (cookies: ...your home is with us now~)...say, at some point, they steal y/n's phone and download the data onto a cookie phone so y/n doesn't lose their numbers and stuff knowing that y/n would be devastated if they lost all their phone stuff buuut can't use their device to go home aaaaand destroy the human phone so y/n ends up with a cookie phone...
Also to add context so the thing above makes more sense:
Y/n might think everyone is only treating them nicely and stuff because of thinking they are their God and stuff and is scared the moment they realize y/n ISN'T their creator or God or anything...it wouldn't end well for them-
Not knowing the cookies already know...and just want y/n for y/n's adorably normal self...no godly powers, no overpowered protagonist whos fated to save the world...just y/n being...y/n.
O-O... I'll figure some way to make 'em all correlate.- I shall deliver teddy anon! (First one is probably gonna be easier than the other two cuz I'm very touch starved)
Side note: Not doing any yandere topics. Refrain from it next time pls
Part 1 - Part 2
Showered with love and affection pt3
Staying in the world of cookie run kingdom had been a pleasant experience to say the least. I mean, how could it not be? You were showered with gifts. But at some point the amount of gifts simmered down and became more filled with affectionate gestures.
Cookies would hug you or simply be close to you and it felt comforting. You felt more affection in this world than in your own. The kids would play with you, the cakehounds would do the snuggling and then the other cookies did all the other gestures. Whether it be holding your hand on a nice walk or hugging you. Cookies of any species, size and background would give you all the love and attention you desired.
One day, in the quiet of the night, you heard something- or at least- someone, at your window. You were beyond surprised when you walked over and opened the curtains to see it was Dark Enchantress cookie herself. You would've called for help but she quickly shushed you.
DE: Shhh shhh shhh- hey, don't panic. I'm not here for any ill intent.
Y/N: then why are you here?!
DE: I... wanted to give you something...
She gave you a basket, similar to the one the cakehound delivered the other day. Only this one was a bit bigger and more... extravagant.
Y/N: What's this?
DE: Look inside.
You cautiously took a look inside.
Only to find that it was full of some of your most favorite treats and goodies. Your eyes widened a bit as you looked up at her.
Y/N: This... this isn't a trick, right?
DE: No tricks. I saw that the other members gave you a basket and I anted to give you my own separately
Y/N: And you came all the way here to do it?
DE: Hey! I can't have a mere basket of goods squander my reputation! Besides, better to do it myself and make sure the job is done than trust a mere cakehound to do it...
That just sounded like an excuse for her to give it to you in person, but you weren't gonna argue. This was very sweet, especially considering who it was coming from.
DE: Well this is my time to take my leave. Not a word about this to anyone, understood?
Y/N: Understood.
She gives a nod before leaving. Strange that even the most evil of cookies respected you this much. But you weren't truly complaining. In fact, you quite liked it.
As your weeks in this place dragged on to months you started to worry about something. How would the cookies react if they found out you were just some normal person and not the god/goddess they had been treating you like. What if they were infuriated that you weren't some kind of savior they assumed you were? Should you leave before they get too attached?
Believe it or not, the cookies already knew. From the moment they brought you here they knew you weren't some heavenly being. And they didn't care. Because they loved you for you. They loved every quality, every flaw, everything about you. To them you were the most treasured being to walk earthbread and they cared about you, regardless of what you were and what you weren't
Though, they were a bit iffy about allowing you to return home. The idea seemed more unappealing than crumbling. For this, they took your phone and copied all the data onto a cookie phone so it still had every quality your phone had, but couldn't give you access to your world.
However, they didn't completely destroy your phone, but rather locked it away. Although they never wanted you to ever leave, they knew they had no right to fully restrict your freedom. Despite how much the idea dreaded them, they couldn't force you to stay permanently against your will. If you truly wish to leave, they had to let you.
Besides, it's not like you could leave forever. They'd find a way to bring you back.

So, I've reread TAS about 6 times, maybe. With every read through, the story somehow gets better. Anyway, I gotta know: when Gale chooses the horror movie before their first kiss, did he do it with the intention of scaring John into his arms? I remember that cliché from media growing up. The guy choosing the scary movie so that he can wrap his arms around the pretty girl.
You write Gale really well, and he's doing the whole "we're taking this at your pace" thing. So I want to know if the scary movie was a calculated decision.
Also, thank you SO MUCH for writing this story; it is my current obsession.
okay gonna get into some TAS gale pov asks bc i have a few >:) but SIX TIMES???? i will literally never ever be able to wrap my head around anyone rereading my stuff, it’s so mind boggling and it makes me a little (a lot) teary wtf :’)) <33 that’s actually insane LMAO thank u this is so so sweet 😭💗 ok buckle in bc i had a lot to say oops
tbh i definitely had that cliche in mind while writing it, like as soon as i decided they’d be watching a horror movie, i knew they’d have the cliche ‘hold me i’m scared’ moment, because it would be a good way to ease into the first kiss. however i don’t think it was fully intentional on gale’s end, because really, i think gale would’ve been happy to sit through like a three hour documentary if that’s what john had wanted lol.
so i don’t think he was swaying john one way or another, but he definitely had zero complaints about having an excuse to hold john when he got scared ;) and obv at that point, gale’s not dumb (and john is not subtle lmfao), so gale was probably 99.9% certain john had feelings for him, and he was giving john every opportunity to do something about that, since gale was so stubborn about giving john space to figure things out for himself and make the first move. :)
another rereader i cryyyy <333 thank you, would also run thru a brick wall for u 😭💖 YES gale’s pov very much interests me, i’ve got a whole section for it in what i call my TAS masterdoc lmfaoo. i have a stupid amount of oneshot ideas now in his/other character’s povs that i’d love to get to at some point!
but also hey ouch thanks for hurting my heart <3 😭 i do feel like there were probably a few “oh no” moments for gale after meeting john, like the classic ‘i’m fucked’ realizations, and i think seeing him smile properly for the first time would be one of those. john’s so caught up in his own head half the time that he probably didn’t notice the way gale stopped breathing the first time he was on the receiving end of his sunshine smile :’)
i genuinely think gale’s internal monologue during that moment would just be ‘fuckfuckfuckfuck’ because really, what else can he do but fall head over heels? i’m sooo excited to dig into gale’s pov eventually, to get into how much he wrestled with himself and how he’d told himself never again after losing johnny, and then in walks this gangly, sweet, loud–mouthed college kid, and gale’s never been so happy to have his life turned upside down.
(john and gale actually do have a little bit of a conversation about this in ch11 because i couldn’t resist, but until that’s up, i leave you with the assurance that gale was smitten from day one and just trying to repress it for a multitude of reasons, but then the incident happened where gale saved him from the blind date, and it was all over from that moment on. the urge to protect john and to keep a smile on his face hasn’t left gale since that moment <3)
LOLL. definitely an admonishing “gaaaaale” moment.
i’ve had so many questions in AO3 comments asking if i’ll write gale’s pov of the conversation he has with marge, and i 100% want to, it’s the first gale pov oneshot (aside from the smut i posted lol) i’m planning on writing for this fic. i’ll try to answer some of those other questions here just to keep them in one place:
i think marge definitely had her suspicions about gale’s feelings for john — she knows gale too well to not know when something’s up, but she also knows that gale comes to her about things on his own time, that she just has to be patient, it’s how he’s always been since they were kids. but there’s no way she wasn’t squinting at gale when she found out john had spent the weekend (multiple times) at his house.
the first time is one thing, because when gale explains that john had gotten wayyy too drunk and seemingly had some situation he didn’t want to go home to, she’d understand gale letting him crash at his. she sees how gale is with john at the beach after that, and it probably gets the wheels turning in her head, but she also knows gale to have a big heart and to be prone to taking strays in, so it could just be written off.
when she finds out that john’s been staying at gale’s every weekend after the incident with his mom, at the very least she had to have asked him who takes the couch just to watch gale squirm, which then confirmed her suspicions lol. after that it’s only a matter of time before gale spills it all to her, and her reaction will eventually be detailed in one of those gale pov oneshots :-)
#tough and sweet fic#johnslittlespoon asks#i have sooo many thoughts ab what's going on in gale's head during all of this#i'd be writing those oneshots rn if i wasn't so focused on the main fic loll i don't want to take even longer btwn chapters yk? <3

Number 22! A random scenario I thought about.
Do You Feel Better Now?
Hmm, not behind that one either?
Cale closes the secret passage; the latest one in the long line of secret passages and compartments that he has looked for the children in. Usually, the children spent at least half the day traversing the many hidden paths of the Super Rock Villa. Today, however, he hasn’t seen fur or scale of the children averaging ten years old, though he has caught sight of a flighty Korean teenager. Now if only Choi Han hadn’t kept escaping him.
Catching sight of a dark cloak once more, he resolves to catch the man off guard. If Choi Han was acting strange, then that means he knows where the children are. Or at least, that he knows something.
After even more searching, and eventually reaching the garden, Cale decided to take a small break. Who knew running around a five story villa looking for any sign of its occupants would be so exhausting..
-Are you sure you didn’t miss anything?
It seems even the Cheapskate was tired of this never ending search.
-We’ve been with him this entire time, of course he didn’t. Uuuugghhh. We’ve been looking for hours!! Cale, let’s take a snack break and continue searching after. You haven’t eaten anything aaaalll day!
Of course the Glutton had to chime in with her two cents.
-Hey Super Rock, why did you have to make this stupid villa so ridiculously big?!
-You of all people, Thief? I thought you would appreciate all of the valuables and secret passages.
-Anyone would be frustrated if it took them over two hours to search half a villa, old man!
-Hey! I was in my forties when I died! How is that old?!
-Heh. Well I was in my twenties.
-Hic. Crazy kid, that’s not something to boast about. That’s so saaad! You were all too young! Hic.
-Ah geez.
-Here we go.
-Come on...forty isn’t that young either…
-HAH! So you admit it, old man!
‘Sigh…they’re so loud…’
-In any case, the Thief is right, Super Rock. It has been way too long since Cale started searching. This place is almost…deserted. We haven’t even seen Choi Han in over an hour…
‘Glutton has a point.’ He hadn’t actually seen the Korean in the last hour. It really is..quieter here without everyone.
-Geez, you don’t need to say it like that!
The Crazy Kid complains. Surprisingly, without any cursing. Maybe she’s trying to be considerate? That or she’s almost as tired as he is.
-I mean, you make it sound like they’re never coming back! This isn’t that stupid Wind Island test!
-Crazy Kid!
-Realy?!
-Why would you…
-Oops. Sorry, Cale….I didn’t mean to bring that up. It just sorta…came out..
The Super Rock mentally sighs. For what it’s worth, she really does sound remorseful, but remorse isn’t gonna change how Cale had gone completely stiff at her comment.
They know that Wind Island was a major sore spot for him. Heck, that’s putting it lightly. That test was quite literally his worst fears come to life. It was torture just for them to watch him go through that. To not be able to do anything during the test, Super Rock almost felt like he was going to go crazy with how scared he had been. For them, his friends, who had gone through similar things; for Cale, the child who had lived that nightmare again and again and still had to experience something so horrible; it was almost worse than when he realized that everyone he cared about was gone. Super Rock never wanted to experience something like that happening to one of his people again. And Cale, Cale is most definitely one of his people.
“It’s alright. I know you didn’t mean to.”
All conversation stops as Cale mumbles under his breath. The way his voice shakes ever so slightly doesn’t escape their notice.
It’s not alright. They know that. Cale knows that. It will never be alright. Especially not for him, who doesn’t have the luxury of forgetting something so horrible.
Cale knows she didn’t mean it. Obviously she’s not heartless. None of them are. He doesn’t blame the Crazy Kid for bringing it up,(but he was trying to avoid the comparison as much as possible. Even if the situation was scarily similar.) nor does he blame the Thief for making such a test. At least, not now. She had been insane with grief and anger, unable to make rash decisions, and she had already apologized to him for the test over and over since then. It’s just…It really is a sore spot.. And it seems that no matter how long it’s been, no matter how many times he sees his family happy and whole and alive, there will always be this irrational part of him fearing that what he saw could be his reality. That maybe this is his future. Maybe what he’s living right now is his past. Maybe he’s eternally stuck in a loop where the only thing he does is gain family just to lose them again. Maybe he’s destined to be alone and surviving and empty.
Sometimes he gets stuck in the records. And sometimes they come to him out of nowhere to drag him down into an endless abyss of despair and numbness. Sometimes he wakes up at night and his eyes are locked on a scene he desperately hopes is fake.
He’s been having a lot of those nights lately, now that he thinks about it. Maybe that’s the reason this is getting to him so much.
Shuffle.
Hm?
Step step step..
A shadow is cast over where he slouches on a bench in the villa’s garden. He looks up to see a pair of black irises locked onto his own. When had Choi Han arrived here? Had he been here the whole time and Cale hadn’t noticed?
“I’m sorry.”
What? He’s sorry? For what?
-This dense-!
-Oh come on!
-Sigh…
“I’m really, really sorry, Cale-nim..”
Cale would like to know what exactly he has to apologize for. Did he break one of the windows while training? Did he go too far with a sparring match? Did he try to cook again?
He startles when he feels Choi Han’s hands grasp on to his shoulders tightly, but not enough to hurt. When he looks up(when had he looked down again?), he sees Choi Han’s eyes that hold so much guilt that Cale is momentarily stunned.
“I’m so so sorry, Cale, Rok Soo..”
Huh?
“I’m sorry I left you alone.” Choi Han grits his teeth, eyes locked onto his, as if trying to convey how sorry he is feeling with one look alone. “I should have known-should have realized-….I never wanted to make you cry.”
Wait, what..? Cry?
He brings a hand to his cheek, stunned for a different reason, as he realizes that he was indeed crying. Huh. Why? Why was he crying?
-Cale..
-Punk. You were lost in your records again.
-Hnng. He really cares about you.. Sniffle. He reminds me of my own hyungs. Hic.
-….You do realize that he’s more of an ahjussi, right?
Oh.
For a moment, Cale wasn’t Cale anymore.
For a moment, he had been Kim Rok Soo in his twenties who had just lost everything again. He had been the Kim Rok Soo that never showed any tears outwardly, but inside he felt like he’d been torn to shreds. The Kim Rok Soo that survived because he could not do anything else. Who was numb and tried in vain to push out the bad records but kept drowning in the grief anyway.
For a moment, Cale had thought that he was never Cale in the first place.
-What a scary ability….
He couldn’t forget and he couldn’t remember. He had been stuck in limbo, and Choi Han had been able to see it.
Maybe it’s because he had Choi Jung Soo’s memories. Maybe it’s because he’d been around Cale long enough to be able to read him so easily. Whatever the case, Choi Han had been able to see what Cale was going through. And Cale can’t decide whether to be relieved or angry that he’s so transparent to someone.
The Super Rock spoke gently, yet firmly, as if sensing Cale’s own emotions rather than just hearing his thought.
-Cale, he cares about you. They all do. You know they would never want to hurt you. Cale…
-All they want is for you to be happy. Choi Han, Prince Alberu, Raon, Even your old team..
Flinch
-Your family just wants to see you happy and healthy. Just like you want for them.
Ha
“haha..ha ha ha..”
“U-um, Cale-nim..?” Choi Han nervously looks on as Cale lets out soft laughter, unsure of why exactly his liege is laughing like that. It doesn’t seem like an empty laugh? But it’s not a full laugh? Why exactly is Cale laughing?? Choi Han keeps his hands on Cale’s shoulders, just in case.
Eventually, the laughter subsides.
“Sigh. Choi Han.”
“Yes Cale-nim?”
“You can let go now.”
“A-ah! Yes!”
Choi Han jerks back, as if burned. He nervously stands there, avoiding eye contact.
Cale stands up slowly, stretching his legs after sitting for so long. Huh. Has it really been that long? He can’t exactly see the sky down here.
He closes his eyes and sighs before opening them. He then looks straight at the not-so-young man in front of him.
“Choi Han. Thanks.”
Choi Han raises his eyes to meet Cale’s calm gaze. There’s a not quite smile on his liege’s face.
Choi Han is relieved.
He smiles brightly; what some might even call innocent.
“You’re welcome, Cale-nim.”
———-
Choi Han later reveals that the kids and everyone else was planning a surprise birthday party for “Cale.” Which Cale didn’t know about because he doesn’t know “Cale’s” birthday. Choi Han couldn’t keep it a secret after what happened. I don’t blame him. Deal with your trauma, Cale.
