not my mil telling my husband I'm a "real keeper" after we've already been married for over four years???

Watched Rear Window last week. Went a little overboard on what was supposed to be a simple expression/design study.
Maybe one of the most bone-chilling scenes in film.

for the amount of time i spend thinking about erika ishii, i do not post about them NEARLY enough
everything i've ever seen them in, they have been fully dialed in. they understand the genre, they understand the character they're playing, and they NEVER. FUCKING. MISS
my current dnd character is actually based on multiple characters of erika's that i enjoy. my character is a witch (like ame of worlds beyond number fame [thank you to the witch class playtest]) but she is also a brewer who grows weed and shrooms, and deals them, and does them (and her personality is very much modeled off of danielle barkstock in dimension 20's the seven)
i feel that many of my favorite moments from erika are often focused on other characters. but many of those character moments would not have been possible without erika's incredible roleplay and sense for storytelling
and when the moment IS focused on erika's character? spellbinding. groundbreaking. from ame talking to orima in the overgrown shrine to danielle getting a nat 20 at the masquerade ball, i always fall into the scene and feel it so deeply due to erika's skill and poise and commitment to the story being told
tldr i think erika ishii is incredibly talented and wonderful

The fandom collectively sort of agreed that Zelda was a bad cook without a lot of evidence
That was until Age of Calamity came along and actually proved the fandom right!
However, there is a side quest in Tears of the Kingdom that implies she can cook actually
And the only reasonable explanation to this is that Link taught her, obviously

You are a witch who personifies the very idea of coldness and solitude. Your sister, who personified harmony and community and you secretly hated bc she talked too much, passes away and her successor is a young naive witch who somehow talks even more. Being a master of manipulation, you conspire with your other sisters to get rid of her. Said sisters are 1) an old lady who somehow insults everyone to their faces in a way that you can’t retaliate against and postpones the murder plot because she’s eepy, 2) a goth so committed to being a bitch twenty four seven that it affects her ability to effectively carry out said murder, and 3) a titty AND crotch-out hippie who is down for the murder but also sees it as her magical right to eat anyone who walks faster than a light jog. Every day Indri Witch of the Wind and Stars wakes up

i’m forever going crazy over the fact that Zelda used to think she was nothing as a person bc she couldn’t awaken her sealing power when every eye of hyrule was on her and she couldn’t protect them and her own father even had her believing that. so when she met sonia and rauru (even true with urbosa) and they gave her the guidance and comfort she needed to freely use her powers on her own schedule that when she was able to blast away those moldugas with ease that she was in disbelief of herself bc she didn’t think she was capable of doing that. so when she made the choice to turn into a dragon to restore the master sword, it was her final message to herself and the future of hyrule that she wouldn’t let herself be nothing (like she was always told she was) by that final selfless act of love for her kingdom and im a mess about it

I love that Isabeau is the one to bring up the "what do we do if you die" conversation cause its a very good insight to his character at the very start of the game. Isabeau is practical, smart, and loves everyone dearly and wants to know how to help them when shit goes sideways. He's the one to ask about Bonnie too, which is a delightful read on how he thinks because everyone else shuts that down instantly as a "That wont happen and cant happen" but we see later in the game it can happen which is such a startling thing for a game to do but justifies the foreshadowing of Bonnie can die what do we do if that happens? Isabeau, despite everything, is also the one who gets to the heart of the matter even if its not something must people are willing to talk about. All without it being part of his friendquest, thats just him naturally. Which! Says so much about him and how he is! His character when its not about his relationship with Siffrin is a very intriguing thing because it feels like a very classic hard intellectual stance that's been softened after many years of learning to better communicate healthily with others. A reflection, if you will, of Odile but in a very drastic direction. I find him fascinating and I also want to scoop his brains out and study them under a microscope to see all his little brain thoughts.
