Same anon here - ive seen loads of people complain about LA zoro's characterisation & FWIW as someone who had no experience of one piece before watching the live action it did come across to me that yes while zoro is cool, a lot of how he acts is bravado and he is a bit silly, bits like him being unable to sit down with his swords , arguing about wearing black at kayas mansion laughing at what he did to helmeppos hair etc and he was getting more comfortable as the series went on (which made the whole argument with nami about being friends break my heart more ;_;) also afterwards I've watched a bit of the anime (loguetown to alabasta) and while yes there are loads more gags in general in the anime, he doesn't seem too dissimilar to me. Spends a lot of the time asleep, does some idiotic things but also actually has sense a lot of the time. (I actually found sanji more different - he seems nicer/friendlier in the LA than the anime to me, which might be a weird opinion) . Sorry for the essay! 😬

oh yeah i think zoro definitely tries to be cool—or thinks he is, and he’ll drop cool lines before doing something remarkably stupid, lmao. i really need to rewatch the opla since i haven’t seen any of it beyond gifs since sept and i’m basing what i remember off of that 😅

that’s awesome that you’ve started the anime! loguetown was a cool arc i enjoyed that really set you up for crossing into the grand line, and i love the villain and world building in alabasta. there are a ton of gags that were great in the anime but definitely wouldn’t have translated well into the live action! that’s the fun of having the too though, i think.

not a weird opinion to be though! sanji was much more tolerable in the live action, whereas in the anime he has some moments where his characterization crosses lines. i found him more charming in the live action

It was just thirty minutes after my prank on Joe. He was currently sitting on the bathroom counter, watching me put on my makeup.

Just a little bit ago, Joe was rolling his eyes as I rewatched the prank footage, every laugh that left my lips making his glare harsher, but now he gazed at me with so much love behind his eyes.

I was still just in one of his T-shirts as I got ready, but to him that made me more enticing.

“Yes?” - you laughed

Joe just smiled at me, though it was clear I broke him out of his trance.

“You’re so beautiful.” - Joe grinned

“Thanks, handsome.” - you

My eyes found their way to his blushed cheeks, and mine only mirrored his.

“Love you, Mama.” - Joe

“Love you too, Joey.” - you

After setting my eyeshadow palette down, I moved between Joe’s legs, put my hands on his thighs, and placed a big kiss on his lips.

When I moved away and grabbed my curling iron, Joe only kept his gaze on me.

I felt my cheeks heat up, just like Joe’s did moments before and attempted to hide my blush by looking down.

Were heels the best option for a pregnant woman? No, but no other shoe option looked good with my dress.

Joe was for sure going to comment on it but in the end, he’ll listen to me and let me keep them on if I want.

Robin and Jimmy had just picked Miles and Tyson up to take them to their house for the night till tomorrow morning.

That being said, Joe told me he could be very vocal about what he thought about me in my dress.

I didn't keep him waiting for too long, and soon I was making my way down the stairs.

Joe stood at the bottom of them, a wide grin on his face as his eyes found me.

“Woah…” - Joe

My smile only got wider as I watched Joe’s eyes travel over my body. He winced when he looked down at my shoes and ran up the stairs to me.

“C’mere. It’s not safe for you to wear those heels down the stairs.” - Joe

He opened his arms, and I knew the drill. My arms wrapped around his neck as Joe picked me up bridal style.

Somehow, Joe walked down the stairs with ease and didn't let go of me till we were on solid ground.

“Thank you, baby.” - you

“No prob. But… I mean what kind of husband would I be if I let my pregnant wife walk down the stairs in those heels?” - Joe

“A normal one, probably.” - you laughed

Joe laughed along with me for a second before speaking up.

“You should know I'm not a normal husband by now.” - Joe

“You really aren't. Most husbands aren't perfect like you.” - you winked

“Don’t look at me like that, Mama. You know what it does to me.” - Joe

Out of nowhere, the sexual tension filled the room. It was more overwhelming than Joe’s blue-eyed gaze on me.

“What’s that mean?” - you

Joe moved forward and wrapped his arms around me, his eyes trailing from my eyes, then lips, then baby bump.

“You’re so fucking gorgeous, even more, now that you're pregnant.” - Joe

I’d never get over how Joe constantly made me feel like the sexiest, most gorgeous mommy out there.

“Can’t wait to put another baby in you...” - Joe

“Aye! Slow your roll, there, hot stuff, this one isn’t even out yet.” - you

Joe laughed loudly but kept his arms around me.

“I was just playin’.” - Joe

I moved away to look into his smiling face which in a matter of seconds had faltered into a devious expression.

“Maybe..” - Joe

“Joseph Lee!” - you slapped his chest playfully

His smile returned to his face as Joe pulled away from me and took one of my hands in his, lacing our fingers together as he walked to the front door.

“Let's go, Mama.” - Joe

While at dinner at Jeff Ruby’s, we were in our regular secluded corner, I had dropped my fork.

Joe insisted that I use his and he would go up to find a server and get one, but I told him I'd rather get up and walk around for a second.

With the biggest RBF he could muster up, Joe agreed to let me get up but said not to leave his sight.

Unbeknownst to me, Joe snapped a picture of me as I stood just a few feet away from our table.

When the picture popped up on his phone, Joe felt his cheeks heat up as he looked at it, zooming in on my features.

I had Joe’s suit jacket draped over my shoulders, and the way my dress accentuated my bump only made me more desirable to him.

That's my wife, Joe thought.

He grinned to himself as he watched me talk to a waitress and get a new set of silverware.

As I walked back to our table, I slightly gave Joe a “What are you up to?” look as I saw his cheeky grin.

He shrugged it off and continued smiling at me.

“Can’t take my eyes off you.” - Joe grinned

so first things first ahem…

NUZI NATION STAND TF UP WE WONNNNN

they’re DATING 😭😭 LIKE THEY’RE BF AND GF THEY ARE ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED IM GOING TO BE SICK I LOVE THEM SO BADDD

they had sooo sooo many adorable, heartwarming moments during this ep i felt like i was going to explodeee.

but that’s not the only thing that had me on the verge of combusting-

FREAKIN V LIVED LETS HECKIN GOOOOO

i KNEW she didn’t die last ep there was no WAYYYY. plus it’s funny to see all the fanart of her taming the sentinel being true in the show lmaooo

ALSO HER AND J’S YURI FIGHT WAS SOOOO GOOD. LIKE?? A REMIX OF ETERNAL DREAM PLAYING WHEN V SHOWED WHATTTT. but this fight wasn’t just visually but the reveal that j was knowingly working with/for cyn was something that i didnt see coming but also don’t completely hate honestly!

i saw a lottttt of people (more specifically j/jessa fans, no shade just saying what i saw🧍‍♀️) who were upset with j’s betrayal and the way she was portrayed, and while i get not liking how she was written, i personally don’t think that this was that out of left field for her?? like?? while i was shocked i was like “i mean, yeah, makes sense.”

AND I COULDN’T POST THIS WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT THE STAR OF THIS EP

guysssss!!!! cyn/flesha was literally at her best in this ep imo!! she was so expressive and silly and genuinely creepy and scary at times like omg?? every time she was on screen i was soooo hooked dude.

AND THE TEAM UZI VS TEAM CYN FIGHT OH MY GOSHHHHHHH.

my friend and i genuinely started tweaking out dude it was so amazing and animated so well 😭 from the nightcore in the bg to the choreo to the general energy of it I JUST RAHHHHH.

the general consensus i've seen regarding this episode is that it felt rushed and while i def agree that it could've and probably should have been longer, of the four times i've rewatched it now, i never really got "rushed" vibes, just- idk how to word it really- but when the episode ended, i didn't get the sense of finality. even tho i've watched it a few times now, it still feels like there's supposed to be more?? esp after the after-credits scene LIKE WDYM THE SOLVER'S PERMINENTLY PART OF UZI NOW??

ALL N ALL, i really loved the ep, i think it was pretty good! there was stuff i def wish were written/handled differently (LIKE THE WAY DOLL'S STORY WRAPPED UP) but i enjoyed it regardless.

LITA Ep. 5 Rewatch Thoughts Part 1

(edit bc I started writing this post like 6 months ago - hi! I'm gonna finish going through the rest of the phayurain episodes of LITA finally! I've lost all sense of shame so these posts are just gonna be love letters to Eul, hope that's ok) Hi hi hi! I find it absolutely hilarious that the notes on the final part of my episode 4 rewatch post (which contains my best screenshots of That Scene) has like triple the notes of the rest of the parts. I love the thirsty LITA fam <3 I think I kept it mostly clean for the first 3 episodes but LITA brainrot is real and from here on out I'm putting down all my deranged thoughts into words so enjoy

Onwards to episode 5!! Ok so y'all should know by this point that BossNoeul sang the opening right? I added it on spotify and have listened to it on repeat so much over the last week that I could probs (badly, bc my singing voice leaves much to be desired but I can and will belt it at the top of my lungs) karaoke it now. If y'all haven't heard the full version check it out bc they rap a few bars and Noeul has this line "shake your bo- shake your bo- shake your body" that makes me lose it every time

The recap sees us revisiting some rather adorable moments from the previous episode including PhayuRain in the rain and tub. Imagine if they stuck the leg kiss in the recap >.<

We open to sunlight pouring in through the curtained windows on the morning after. I kind of wish the last episode had ended with this scene bc it would have been a soft transition after the intimacy PhayuRain shared rather than the abrupt cut to credits. But I digress.

Phayu's hair looks glorious out and I wish we'd gotten to see it like this more. In fact I think we should've seen Rain push his hands through it and grip it during episode 6's NC scene. Also the definition of that bicep? Sir pls.

I ADORE how sweet Phayu is towards Rain all the time, and this is yet another example. I love it when characters look fondly at their lover (I finally get to use that word for them!!), cover them with a blanket, and then give them a forehead kiss before sliding out of bed. SO FOND

I just think it's really attractive when people do this. Rain was really missing out by snoozing.

The state of Rain's neck and chest sends me into hysterical giggles every time. Phayu you did not have to go that hard with the marking bestie (let's be honest though, looking at the state of Phayu's neck post episode 6 they both have marking kinks) - everyone's gonna know Rain's officially yours soon enough. Also throwback to how like two months ago (or something like that idk the exact timeline) Rain was like hmph I never want anything to do with P' Phayu ever again. I didn't hear any complaining from you last night hmm??? Also I love how confident Rain was in his abilities to seduce Phayu, so true of him

OK WAIT I think I finally get the whole yellow-blue thing. It literally is just that yellow is Rain's representative color and Phayu's is navy blue. So by making Rain put on Phayu's navy blue shirt for the "morning after" they're just reiterating that Rain belongs to Phayu now. Mystery solved :)

Obligatory shot bc he's worked hard for these gains and I think he deserves some appreciation ft. Rain who's making the same face as all of us. I think they spent like 30 whole seconds on Phayu's shoulders and that's so valid of them

Ok, and we're back to Rain in a yellow t-shirt looking very feverish. He's holding his teal green phone (case) up though which is a combo of yellow and blue, isn't it? I'm sorry my color theory is lacking. His eyebrows look really nice here and I don't know why I noticed. I hope he has a good nap! But oops he misses calls from Phayu...

This episode's title is "the Calm Before the Storm" which implies it's gonna be a mostly tooth-rotting fluff episode and that drama is on the way next week. I'm already smiling so wide my cheeks hurt so the title is apt.

Phayu (dressed in navy blue!) is here to make sure his precious Rain is ok and Mama is already planning the wedding in her head.

The first three or four times I watched this, I was paying too much attention to their faces and probably missed a lot so let's break it down a bit. Phayu comes in, Rain's surprised and sits up, and Phayu sits down next to Rain on the bed but facing away. Phayu is slightly upset that Rain went away without saying anything and he was worried that since Rain was sick that him driving home alone was dangerous. The second Phayu sits down this way, Rain reaches out to grab his arm but Phayu pulls away. Compared to couples in other dramas, PhayuRain depend on touch a lot to communicate so obv the situation is quite serious plus Phayu is not immediately making eye contact with Rain.

The next couple of shots are just back and forth where Phayu asks why Rain left and Rain tells him what happened and apologies for worrying him. He looks v v soft and fluffy here

Gonna take a second to appreciate the background music bc it sounds so serious and doom-y right now but they're literally about to clear it all up so it was unnecessary to go that hard. Sound artist I love you

Throughout this conversation, Phayu starts far away (which for PhayuRain means there's like 1.5 meters of distance between their faces instead of 0.15 meters) but he moves closer and tilts his body more in Rain's direction as Rain gives each justification. He also lets Rain grab his arm. It's very subtle but I like the acting choices here.

Phayu, Rain is sick. Can you pls stop staring at his lips bff give him some rest (spoiler alert I counted like 5 lip-looks in the next 10 seconds, Phayu didn't hear me)

OK this hug. Exquisite. The gap has been bridged, all parties are happy again, and they both absolutely sink into each other.

Boss' little shoulder rub here is so soft and gives us more PhayuRain believability. We can see how worried he was and how relieved he is now that Rain is safely in his arms again.

Rain's cheek-smushed nod agreeing to never disappear from Phayu's side ever again is everything to me.

I don't actually think this was what I was supposed to get out of this but there's something about the symmetry of this hug and them being in the shape of a triangle and how technically their first encounter as a couple involved Phayu's triangle tool etc. etc. etc. Also headpat alert!

More subtle and soft gestures from Phayu. Rain is down bad.

Except this is not that kind of punishment and I can't believe Phayu really brought along a rectal suppository. To his credit though, I believe they're supposed to be more immediately effective than oral medicines because they absorb more directly into the body so he just wants Rain to be healthy faster. Although I wish Phayu would've not proceeded to yank Rain's pants off without permission, it's fiction and I hope if Rain had shown signs of major discomfort he would've listened. I do have to wonder if Mama put on headphones though bc Rain was really loud with his protests. I also think this must've been funny to film bc if you look closely before it cuts to Rain's mom, Rain looks like he's holding back laughter.

This sequence was actually so adorable and funny. I love purrito!Rain and Phayu is looking way too smug. Mama Rain walked out of there trying to name all the yellow and blue flowers she could for the wedding centerpieces.

NDFJDSFN like yes, watching it for the first time is very sweet and adoring and whateves. but as soon as you turn on your brain, you realize how stupid it is. jin should never be apologizing to the thing that was tormenting him for years. (and no, jin shouldn't have been "wrong" about devil being bad. devil was bad. period. making him otherwise ruins jin's story, ruins devil jin's story, ruins years worth of fun stuff with devil jin in tk3-tk6, ruins kazuya's story, ruins tk2's story, and so on)

it's so stupid. i know i've complained about this so many times y'all heard it all but like. i rewatched this scene due to grabbing the caps for the previous post i made and it still just makes me roll my eyes. again, it IS a very sweet scene - the last fight between jin & devil is indeed very clever, snow castle playing is epic. but the prob is... the scene is only nice if you've never played the other games. if you have knowledge of the other games, it falls apart so quicky and becomes frustrating, not clever or heartwarming.

i just wished they had purified devil or something instead of making the claim that he was always good / only bad bc jin rejected & the devil. oh, and stupid tk6 shit. fuck offfffff.

rewatched civil war (twice) and damn team iron man was really doomed from the start

tony: driven by rising guilt. goes against previous values and patterns of behavior so he has very little sway with the govt he’s trying to work with. thinks he can convince steve to compromise his beliefs (have you met steve??) just to get what tony wants while unwilling to do the same. also he’s chosen ross as his ally? and doesn’t even think bruce would take his side on the accords/bucky situation? girl if you’re gonna go this hard at least be sure of yourself.

rhodey: already in the government’s pocket. more power with them but less credibility w everyone else.

vision: 2 years old. v little experience with emotions, which are shown to be brought out most strongly by wanda.

peter: 15 years old. how much did tony even tell him? or did he just wave a shiny new suit in front of him?once he sees past the starstruck-ness i highly doubt he’d side w tony. like steve tells him there’s a lot happening that he doesn’t understand and peter’s all “funny mr stark said you’d say that” like yeah girl but uh that doesn’t make it not true lol.

natasha: demonstrably close with steve and others on his team (clint, sam, wanda). defects p much first chance she gets.

tchalla: also defects as soon as he realizes what was really going on. even before then, he clearly only wanted to get bucky, didn’t care abt tony’s mission. realistically prob wouldn’t have submitted to the accords as bp anyway if it wasn’t in wakanda’s best interest. as he should.

meanwhile team cap was SOLID

steve: once bucky’s in danger, it’s over. man’s locked in and will not be stopped by anything short of a bullet to the head. you don’t trust someone without a dark side, tony? this is steve’s “dark” side: his devotion to bucky.

sam: loyal to cap. they may not always agree 100%, but they’ve got each other’s backs. where steve goes, sam goes.

bucky: spends most of the movie running and defending himself bc he’s the main target, but once tony knocks steve down? bucky’s there to stop him and they’re the dream team once more. gets his arm blown off and keeps fighting. to the end of the line.

clint: helping his friends, plain and simple. he believes in the fight, even if he doesn’t seem to take it as seriously as the others (joking around, pulling punches w nat). he gets the job done.

wanda: loyalty most shaky bc of her connection to vision, but she’s also the only one who can overpower him, and she has bonds w clint and steve as well as beef w tony, so she commits when it matters.

scott: happy to be there, backing cap. kinda like sam in catws. “dude captain america needs my help.” total wild card bringing a new power set to the table, which really came in clutch several times in the airport fight. familiar with the flaws of the us justice system and breaking the law to do what’s right. also he made watching the movie way more enjoyable bc he’s comic relief but not in the “smartass sarcastic” way that i’ve gotten tired of. he’s just a goofy dad fighting the good fight with his weird ass contraptions and gizmos. he risked tearing himself in half with a highly experimental maneuver for a distraction. i cannot stress this enough he went full titan mode instead of, say, supersizing a colony of ants, because these guys he just met needed a diversion to avoid being arrested by these other guys he just met (which is what ends up happening to him because he passes the fuck out immediately after)

and while team iron man was backstabbing each other left and right? everyone on team cap was prepared to stay behind and get arrested — insisted on it — so cap and bucky could escape in the quinjet. tony stark you can never again underestimate the power of friendship because it just blew up in your face and demolished your ass.

I really do enjoy being back and writing to you, I was afraid my love for him was fading away, I didn't like any ideas I wrote in my notes and was overall pretty sad. RWBY ReWatch Volume 4: let’s slow it down now

I’ve rewatched Volumes 1-3 multiple times (though it’s been a long time), either by myself, showing it to a family member, or watching a reaction video of it. I have watched Volume 4 precisely 2 times. Once in the original liveblog, once again with either Jay or my mom. And since it’s been so long, this’ll prob feel like a whole new watch for me.

That being said, I remember this part being a lot slower story wise than the first 3 Volumes, so I’m not sure if I’ll have all too much to say about it.

Ugh, RoosterTeeth moving RWBY onto their own site wouldn’t bother me if they would at least put the character shorts in the playlist with the show. I know they aren’t necessary to watch, but you put effort into them, you’d think you’d make it easy for people to find.

okay, wait i lied, I have rewatched the fight between Qrow and Tyrian. multiple times. because i love it. but I think that’s the only thing in Volume 4 I’ve seen more than twice.

I really like the song for the Volume 4 op, Let’s Just Live, it’s actually one of my favorites from the soundtrack. But the visuals are a little... lacking. Some parts even look a little goofy when it’s trying to be serious.

I didn’t forget Ren’s history with his village being destroyed by Grimm, but I didn’t remember how... quickly his anxiety over it seems to crop up when in a similar situation. The second they step into Shion he gets way more curt and... passive-aggressive, we’ll say. That actually adds a lot more context to how he acts in Volume 8 too. It’s pretty similar.

Jacque has a single framed photo on his desk and it’s of Whitley and Whitley alone.

With as jumpy and paranoid as Blake was, how did she not notice the guy in a full body cloak tailing her.

The way he says “Surprise!”. Tyrian’s voice actor is so great, his character wouldn’t be the same without him.

SO funny how everyone just stands there when Ruby is about to be poisoned by Tyrian, fdakjhdsa. I know the intention is probably that none of them would’ve made it in time, but no one even moves to try either. Jaune is the biggest offender, he just stands there and closes his eyes, lol.

Qrow just fucking punching Tyrian in the face remains one of the funniest things to happen in RWBY.

I think it’s a good thing I decided to rewatch the show. I remember a lot of the broader information, but a lot of the details I’ve forgotten. Like each of the relics representing knowledge, creation, choice, and destruction.

Thinking about the Nukalooka, and if the characters faced off against anything else just as creepy, and then I remembered the fucking Apathy and good god, I am not looking forward to that again.

Tyrian just wants his master to love him, he’s like a little puppy. A completely psychotic little puppy.

Maybe Weiss shouldn’t have worn the loudest shoes in existence while she was trying to sneak out.

I was actually pretty supportive of Ironwood during this part of the series and I think a large part of that was his actions being framed in opposition to Jacques’. Clearly, if Jacques didn’t like it-- since he is a completely self centered prick-- then it was a good thing to happen. Ironwood had always been extreme, but he ultimately seemed to have his heart in the right place, so his actions weren’t that bad. Now with the context of Ironwood’s downward spiral, it’s all too obvious how fucked in the head he was.

But that’s the great part about rewatching all of this. In hindsight, it’s all so obvious. But just like all the other characters around Ironwood, those who know and support him, it’s hard to see the cracks in the moment.

Soooo, we didn’t see Klein at all since Volume 4 iirc (and I probably don’t), and I can’t remember if it was said why since they’ve been back to Schnee manor a few times since.

I like that the little :3 is still left in the captions while Blake is talking to Sun.

Not quite as much to say for Volume 4, which is what I figured would happen. A good portion of the volume is just quiet character moments and then set up for the next volume. A lot of self explanatory stuff. Still enjoyable, but undeniably slower than what we’re used to with RWBY.

last show: Does anime count? Just finished Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and boy...kinda blown away. I know season two is out already so I'll be starting that soon.

currently watching: I have a lot of anime on the go. Currently watching season 1 of romantic killer, rewatching clannad (the original) cause I want to see the newer one and apparently it's "INTEGRAL" to watch the original first???, gintama....I could go on. I'm one of those people that has a million series on the go and never quite finishes them.

currently reading: Just like shows, I am all over the place. Lots of self help books and graphic novels if I'm being honest. At the present time, to my left is sitting 2 of my million books on the go: Lore Olympus volume 2, The anxiety and phobia workbook (yay anxiety!! lol) and about 4 or 5 batman arkham comics. I figured I should say just incase, but all is well! I do read self-help books because I am trying to improve my mental wellbeing but I am in a much better place :) anxiety has prob been the best it has been for, well, years and part of it is due to the books and a lot of exposure therapy :)

Some days after the end of S11..

I have a full wrap of my opinions about the SKAM France seasons from season 5 to 12 coming soon... But I wanted to write about S11 in details, so I don't forget my current opinion after a daily watch - which will be very different from my opinion probs one year later, as I will hopefully get the rest of the gen or just rewatch that season.

Firstly first about the main; I adored Rym.

I have a file for that type of characters, the ones that can't process their grief or any situation that happened. And I enjoy how from Lola to Rym, with Bilal and Maya, grief is always a theme with difference nuances in it. For Rym it was the loss of the person she loved the most. Her grandma, but also her only parental figure as she ever remembered. We don't know a lot at first (hence why I think a rewatch will make me love the season harder, as you get more clues at the start, knowing everything), but we know one thing. Rym is angry. About her fate, about how life got so unfair since she found the firefighters outside of her house.

At the start of the season Rym also experiences denial for what she did. So not only the death of her grandma feels unfair to her but also her mother's choice of letting her to other people, as well as her only friend - and crush, to me - rejecting her for that. It is sure, as soon as we discover episode 4 that Rym has severe anger issues and seek destruction as well as escapism that can be filled by the adrenaline of stealing, putting things on fire and more...

And I love it. Because prior other seasons, that also treated and basically always treats of very gray characters. It is very hard for the public to see her as fully white, when you make it her whole theme.

This is something that annoyed me back then, not holding any mains accountable for what they've done in the past. Because to me, gray characters are way more interesting than all white ones, mostly when they're teens, when there is a possibility of evolution.

Moreover, I love that Rym is a teen, from start to end. When she goes throught her difficulties she's a teen. When she hurts people she's a teen, when she cries, when she falls in love. Even when she's unable to sleep because of the gravity of her acts, she doesn't feel like a 16 year old trying to be an adult. She feels like a 16 year old in a teenager situation, that can be has hard as an adult's one, but still belongs to her.

And that is important.

A thematic that belongs to her; And to the writer!

When I read the first articles I was a bit scared. SKAM France has it's backstory of poor writing considering main and secondary characters that aren't white. Or of any characters that has an identity they ignores or do not share, mostly (Something I'll talk in that next post, that will surely be a novel long atp).

Well, I still don't know if the writing team is finally as diverse as it should be (we barely know anything about the headwriters, that probably are too scared to experience the same thing as the previous writers did), and I don't think it is my role to argue if anything hit or missed considering Rym not being white (because I am very white and french and I don't think I know better than the actress, writers and people concerned themselves) - so if it's the case I let everyone speak abt it in the comments. I have though something to say about the theme, and it's how I love when writers actually knows and experienced their subjetcs.

It's something I already said for S7, season about maternity. It is awesome to have someone leading a season that they care about for that reason. And you see it, and you feel it. Because the characters never feels like the support of their theme, or the other around, but both of theme and main are merged so equally that it becomes one.

By Rym (and Zélie), we discover how juvenile delinquency can start (after a huge shock and changes, family dysfunctions, group effect, feeling of abbandonment, anger issue, self destructions habits). How it looks like (conflict, misbehavior, stealing, putting things on fire, putting yourself in danger or even harming someone). The consequences of it (nights in detention, criminal record, even more family conflicts and the possibility of being judged, by the court, the teachers and everyone around her). How it can go further, (to juvenile detention or, in Rym's case: running away, homelessness) and how it can be stopped, how can Rym herself turn the page of this part of her life. And discover a new one.

I wishh; We are gonna get more or her in the next season(s).

And particularly her friend group - the weirdos.

Look I love the cringe-ness of that name, and the fact it was given as a judgment? And they embraced it? Very cool of them, very edgy. Very me. From the one we know the most to the less I have some nuanced, opinions abt them.

For Cléo, we see him for the first time in the very second clip of the first episode. Cléo looks at Rym first, while she's being bothered already by Félix, the N°1 Shithead of Dorian High-School at the moment. He's the first one that includes Rym in the group, one part (to me) because he sees in her someone that he can trust about not liking that so called Clones group. One another part because it's obvious that Cléo had an immediate crush on her. He's the love-interest of the season and not really a major character in Rym's change, while still being a huge part of her support system. He also brings the non-binary representation that I deeply needed for at least 10 seasons of that show, and that was surely maybe needed to explain a bit more (and hope it will in S12) because I have seen for the past months a lot of confusion - if not blatant transphobia.

Since the first episode - second clip we are introduced to him and his PRONOUNS. They are not a question, they are not even french neutrals that are still in debate for some, along with the full inclusive langage. Cléo casually is non-binary and for us as for his other friend he always has identified as non-binary, compared to Max in S7 it is not even a thematic, as we never presents what it is to be trans and non gender comforming. That choice was made and honestly would have been even better if no one took his gender as a insult and decided to hate him more than any. other. characters. Including the bullies, including the foster parents with a huge (white for Sophie) savior complex.

And I don't say Cléo is perfect. Cléo is at Daphnée and or Jo's image a very complex character since the start. We see him get a lot bullied by his ex-bestfriend's friends (and he probably also participated in it). We see him shifting in class, which (to me) is a bit concerning for his own sanity to be honest. In general, from Rym's point of view, she always seem to catch Cléo in situations that can make him almost crack his self confidence shell. As Daphnée, as Jo or even as Basile, Cléo has some tendencies to be very hyper and focused on apparances, during the season he has issue with trusting Rym as she has her own secrets. And it is obvious this is absolutly not about Rym, but especially about himself, linked to his past demons.

We also learn from Jade that she only knows him from september. Meaning he was probably all alone for a long moment. I am sorry but I can't not feel empathy for a such character, and I know he has much more to offer in the next season(s), mostly with Maël's right now.

For Yanis, he probably is the fan-favorite right now. And he kindaa deserves it. I don't know if it's N'Landu Lubansu chemistry with everyone on screen, or Yanis very refreshing writing but I kinda adore his character. We see him for the first time as Rym mocks his style along with Zélie, and I kinda love the way he was presented as a random guy who likes hicking, gaming and axolotls like many teenage boys. But as we discovers him, we see a much more interesting character.

Yanis lives alone with his mother, that is not only a bit strict but also the new Headmaster of Dorian High-School. As it is - he completly lives inside the school and knows everything about everyone new. That's how he learns about Rym's past and how he is way more understanding about her lying, as he starts to gets her both sharing abandonment issues. More like characters like Redouane and others Yanis is very outside of toxic masculinity. His bestfriends doesn't share his interest, as well as he doesn't feel ashamed or see any issues about wearing his mom's clothes or make-up. He doesn't play either in the - sex comptetition or stuff like that, compared to Pablo and Félix as we're starting to see in the current season.

He also adds the mlm representation to the generation. Yeah you heard me, more than 1 representation, a mlm rep that isn't white. It's almost as if they actually listened to their public this year. I would personally say (or headcanon) that he is pansexual. As it was never said it is very implied that Yanis corresponds under the bi umbrella, and that he actually doesnt care about how his partner presents. He falls in love with another gamer- which brings up e-relationships to the table, as risky as it can be, as cool as it can be. At the end of the season we learns that the so called Piranha is a boy, called Cyril. I really love how this generation portrays teenage relationships and it's nuances, it's diversity and everything. How nice it is to see relationship that will not end in misery, or that are as serious as it can be when you're sixteen, and as unserious as it can be. Also, If my headcanon is right I feel like it's a very very neat upgrade on how the show writes queer people and mostly people under the bi umbrellas (Elliot, Alexia, Lola) as the first gen really enjoyed cheating tropes and bi and panphobic partners for them (even tho I kinda liked seeing Maya get a bit toxic-dumb untrusting because of her breakup. love her). Yanis doesn't need to sleep with both women and men to justify who he is, as well as Rym doesn't need many experiences to know she's gay.

Anyway, he's a character I really want to see more. But as my misfortune made all my faves NOT have a season, for each gens ever I am not gonna wish that for him. Please let him shine. He's way too cool 4 school. :(

For Jade, welll we don't know that much about her. We met her at the same time as Cléo, and not only she is very focused in her own world. She's a very unique type of character that we haven't really seen in the show, but we could (?) see some ressemblances among both Elliot, Noé and Alexia. Jade is a very exentric character by her way of dressing herself, her family - being part Irish but also having a grandparent (Pamie) almost written by Wes Anderson - and her own universe. She says what she wants, does what she wants, is a part of a circus classes and doesn't really care about what people say or not understanding some of the social cues.

Of course a lot of people (me in it) pointed that Jade had many many hints for her to be neurodivergent. And honestly I do hope it is the point because as much as I relate to her, I also feel that she could educate a lot of people on the fact that autistic people doesn't especially mean a man, nor a genius, nor someone that can't mask.

I don't know yet what will be about her character, tho it seems obvious that her character will be important in the current season. Her mom Poppy seeming to appear in it, as well as circus friend Idriss and she already has started to show up (some minutes ago,, lmfao). I'm very curious, since she obviously has a crush on Maël for a while now. There is a possibility her story gets to be told, honestly I'm hyped because I love dearly all the members of the weirdos group.

They all give me comfort and an happy feeling that Lamif also made me feel for a while. A family that Rym deserves and that I hope, Maël will feel the need to join too!

I am almost finished with that novel-lenght review; I have to talk about the other characters.

There is many other interesting things to say about this season. How grief is handled, how abandonment is depicted - not only by her mother but also by her bestfriend Zélie. Her bond from her grandmother, to her own mother. Reuniting after both have lost someone. I particularly love that - at the end of the season they do bond over their traditions and religion, that they both shared with the same person back then. Mostly because since S4 badly written season, only Redouane's and Jo's family had some hints to be muslim and jewish, but as well as Redouane himself, that got ignored in the last two seasons. In general I have some critics to make probably around the lack of clips in some manners - like with her foster family or else. But I feel like in general, there is always a season in the year - duo that lacks more clips than the other, more ofter because they can't provide as much or they are told to cut it from the full show. It is sad, but as I am peaceful about it being the first season ever of the gen, it also shows that not everything is done for Rym.

She still has a lot more time to evolve fully. And I will hopefully be there to see that.

Everyone be proud of me I finally started to download music again (used mostly yt-dlp which omg ily)

All it took was me randomly fixating for days on my pc aesthetic (made personal use firefox skins too for hours) and wanting to use the skins sjsksk. Smth I never cared enough abt. The skins are so pretty I wish kid me knew abt them,,, reg how I thought I was the only one that cared abt phantom thief jeanne (as a kid prob way more than sailor moon but both good) was I suprised by the amount of skins.

Anyways back to mp3 metatag hell (I still have my whole spotify stuff to download which is. So much more. I fear). It is like 0:50 I will prob pass out soon but until then.

I primarily thought abt it too bc I loved to put music on in the bg on discord calls w my ex bff but I used spotify which hates this so I went hm when downloaded it doesn't need the internet and it won't suddenly stop too. I wanna push my music in calls w friends again (on that note listen to groundbreaking, sockittome, and bahjat 🫵). The ones I bought on bandcamp did I luckily not forget to check first will prob throw what I can once possible at the ones that I want to support.

Will only upgrade my phone this year bc this small storage sucks I only thought oh fine I got a big sd card but capitalism said ha no fuck slots. By the amount of music and what I use it for do I gen think min ~500 max 1tb (find it a bit wild that's a thing for phones but I'm not complaining) and then only again once it's unsalvageable. I think that will make me happy for a lifetime bc it's always just the storage for me. Music + pics (which I use for edits) and the main storage eater and I yknow want to download games too or in the future mangas/eps to get edit material there. Oh and pdfs to read n books n such esp ones to quickly show in convos which can become a huge pile too. I will delete eps but I obv first need enough to download them. First and foremost I want to start taking my as of rn ~20gb music library (incoming like ~1400 songs from spotify excluded) everywhere w me w no worries however and ik this will become much bigger in the years since I constantly search for new ones (spotify likes in the 10000 for example. need to clean my playlists for storage like yearly). Reg my pc I will invest in those external storage things I got a 1tb one from my dad ages ago and ik they're cheap. Anyways people weren't kidding downloading stuff is kinda addicting like even if taken down I still have that damn. Like obv ik since forever but omg why the fuck did I stop w that.
