Five weeks after being given the Sigillum Dei Aemeth, the magical table and lamen had not been made. The Archangel Michael chastised Dee and Kelley for not carrying out his instructions fast enough. Dee complained that he could not afford the gold, silver, and silk required to build the objects. Michael did not care, and responded with a vision of a mountain of gold covered in serpents, which he obliterated with a sword.

Hi all,

This is the second part of my altar tour. This post is going to be about my “spiritual tool station” where I keep my tarot cards, divination dice, among other trinkets.

This wooden wreath holds my protective jewelry, most notably my scorpion talisman. There you can also see a couple sachets of cards that I don’t use as often.

Starting from the top is a devotional statue to the Mother Goddess that I received quite recently. To her right is a crystal sphere (I forget the name I’m sorry) that aids in banishing negative energy. An evil eye can also be seen watching over the entire station.

There is also a piece depicting the Empress tarot card that I got from spirit halloween, as well as Mercury’s candle and a figure of Ryuk from Death Note. Behind Ryuk you can also see Azrael’s candle (get it?) I’m a big fan of the imagery in Death Note so you will see a lot of it on my altar.

In particular, I am very fond of the forbidden apple imagery. As a practitioner who dabbles in shadow work and hidden gnosis (as well as a full time devotee of Lucifer), I find the imagery to be appropriate. So here we can see a depiction of two angels conversing with an apple crystal between them, and the apple of the Death Note poster behind them.

I currently have 7 tarot decks that I use regularly with my favourite being the Hermetic Tarot. My Goddess Oracle deck is behind a small feminine depiction meant to represent Goddess Aphrodite.

Now here is a very special devotional space to Father Lucifer. Here is where I keep my sub collars, books of shadows, baneful ingredients, as well as my offering bowl to Lucifer. The dragon brush is used to clear ash off of my altar space. The red dragon is a tribute to Father Lucifer. There are also a few pieces of obsidian for him as well as some garnet.

The bottom most shelf is just used to hold jewelry and manifest financial prosperity.

Beneath the shelf, two more seals written by Joshua Meecha can be seen. One is for angelic intuition while the other is for focus and mental clarity.

This sigil is currently sitting beneath this picture of lightning. It was created while in trance with the help of Archangel Jophiel for the purpose of protecting the entire workspace and establishing Jophiel’s privilege in the space. You can also see some devotional art to Selene with various moon imagery.

The sigillum dei ameth is a very muti functional tool for angelic work. I use it both as a summoning cheat sheet and as a casting board for my divination dice. Put simply, signum dei vivi is a symbol of the living God. It is a magical diagram labeled with the name of God and his angels.

Semujozrinkha is a fallen cherub who has a habit of satisfying his carnal desires with multiple mortal women. He enjoys boasting about his past victories and extreme power in both social status and physicality. He’s likely to betray people if they give off a bad first impression, but makes him untrustworthy and even dangerous. Whenever his irritation kicks in, he flies into a blind rage, showing no mercy and compassion towards those who got under his skin. Despite his lust, pride, and wrath, he has somewhat improved his self-control, trying his best to maintain a kind and reserved attitude. Due to his strong sense of militarism, he has a readiness to wage war and put legit effort into achieving victory. He highly respects his creator, sons, grandchildren, friends, and former comrades, possessing a willingness to protect them from harm’s way. Semujozrinkha is superficially skillful and witty due to his sharp intelligence, great wisdom, and methodical cunningness.

He’s a rectangular mesomorph with an approximate height of 8’ 4” (254 cm), a prominent musculature, a square chest, and partially broad shoulders. Due to being a cherub, Semujozrinkha has the head of a masculine human (front), an eagle (right), a lion (left), and an ox (back). His rough skin is a snow-white with major greyish-pink battle scars and severe red-violet burns on his back, palms, and upper body. He has sunburst pale turquoise-cobalt blue eyes and massive avian wings of polished bronze. He possesses long faux hawk hair with delicate curls and it’s in a fade from royal heath-to-mulberry wood. His soft lips are a lochinvar, his cat eye makeup is a shimmering luxor gold, his cheeks and temples have vanilla ice blushing, and his nails are a metallic purple. He has two silver serpents encircling his arms, gilt-brass anklets, and a necklace with a wide isosceles triangle of rough bloodstone. A thin, diaphanous aqua forest stole flutters around him, circling their heads in a shape reminiscent of a halo. He dons three robes: a short robe of gold-brown moose fur; a medium, rippling velvet robe of old gold with cardinal stripes; and a long, flowing silk robe of blumine with breaker bay dots, turmeric circles, and tawny port triangles. There are four wispy clouds of coppery hue behind his head. Semujozrinkha wields a gilt-brass staff that has a sculpted peacock with a serpentine tail and outstretched wings.

When he’s in his infernal form, his height is 15’ 2” (462.28 cm) and the musculature of his body is grotesque and unnaturally robust. Most of his arms, upper body, and necks are missing skin, which reveals the glistening red-violet muscle fibres with faint golden veins. He has a thick serpentine tail of silver that’s half his height, five arms, large peacock wings, and seven heads with elongated necks. These seven heads mimic the skeletal shape of an adult Triceratops horridus, but each one has barracuda teeth. Semujozrinkha’s hands have the metallic purple claws of a dragon and each head is adorned with ten ox horns and circles of twelve golden stars. He has old gold eyes with aqua forest pupils, mulberry wood slits, royal heath outlining, and black sclera. His legs are covered in gold-brown moose fur and he has cloven hooves of gilt-brass. He wields a bident of shadows, a green lion’s head with a sunny mane, and a dew-covered shield of rose gold that’s in the form of the Sigillum Dei.

As a cherub, Semujozrinkha can perceive angels, demons, and mortals, turn invisible, create fire through singing divine hymns, and generate lightning and thunder with each flap of his wings. He has psychokinesis, cosmic awareness, knowledge of all earthly things and forbidden secrets, and absolute wisdom. He also has the ability to change in humanoids, birds, and draconic creatures, an indomitable will, omnilingualism, omnicompetence, and omnipresence. He can perform strenuous activities for centuries and endure all levels of discomforts, temperatures, and diseases. His senses are heightened, and his strength allows him to lift and move mountains, continents, megastructures, minor dwarf planets, and low mass stars. All biological strikes can partially split planets, create canyons, generate tsunamis, and halt any meteorological phenomenon. He’s capable of recalling lost souls to their bodies and telepathically reading thoughts, memories, dreams, and emotions. His kisses and sensual touches can put people to sleep, heal physical injuries and distress, and induce lust, pride, and wrath. Through his precognition, he can view future events, but they’re cryptic and sometimes unreliable. He possesses nearly infallible tactics and strategy, and he can grant superior powers in exchange for allegiance. Semujozrinkha has the ability to manipulate wrath, pride, lust, affection, lying, corruption, pestilence, poison, madness, temptations, demons, watchers, hellfire, and the abyss.

He was kicked out of Eylvhraszokjumni because he copulated with many female humans, aiding in the creation of the Nephilim. It’s also possible that he was punished on the basis of murdering his ex-lover, so he can indulge in his lust for the daughters of humankind. However, this is pure speculation that’s popular amongst those who believe in this theory.

He was originally the supreme king of Nifjazroghetus, but decided to pass his royal status to his youngest son. The reason why he gave up being a king was because he believed that Luxasofer deserved it more than he did.

Alastor's Demon Sigil

Alastor might refuse to post his sigil, BUT I'M WILLING. I've actually posted it before, several months ago. Here's a clearer image of it:

(if you try to read the sigil from the leftmost edge—which is my first instinct—it looks like it says "ORALAST," but Goetic demon sigils traditionally have their names listed on the circumference starting from the top point rather than the left side.) The sigil's meant to looks like both a face and a map:

The nine-pointed star surrounding his symbol echoes similar motifs in other historical Christian magical symbols, such as the seven-pointed star in the Sigillum Dei. It represents the 9 rings of Hell as cited in Dante's Inferno—I made the symbol before we learned there are seven rings in the show canon, so take the 9 to represent Alastor's outsider/human understanding of Hell.

I made the symbol before I came up with this "Alastor is a demon" AU, so I headcanon that he created it himself as an image thing (if he hands a sinner a card with what looks like a Goetic noble's sigil on it and says "My card :)" he looks like he must be important) and as an aspirational thing ("dress for the job you want"—he'd like the kind of magical power and importance that a demon noble has). On top of that, it has practical uses: he can use the sigil as a representation of himself in magic rituals, and it carries the same symbolic/magical weight as his name.

Enochian magic was developed by Edward Kelly and John Dee, however John tried to distance himself from Kelly near the end of its development. It was likely not appropriative in the beginning. However, since it’s adoption by The Golden Dawn and the likes of Alister Crowley, it has become almost unrecognizable from the original writings. The practice itself relies on the Sigillum Dei Aemeth, which was not intended for magical use, but rather for encryption. It is likely that Dee was interested in Kelly’s ideas as inspiration for new methods of encryption. John Dee wasn’t as much a practitioner of magic, as much as he was a philosopher and code master. Kelly, however, developed magic based heavily on dreams that were influenced by religious dogma of the times.

The contemporary rituals involve the Goetia (1550’s), developed after the Key of Solomon (1300’s-1400’s), predominantly by Johann Weyer (a student of Agrippa). A lot of the material came directly from Agrippa’s three books of occult philosophy. These books by Agrippa are very much rooted in misogyny and gender. Contemporarily, there are several texts that are collectively known as The Lesser Keys, of which the Ars Goetia is a part. Most of the writings have very little to do with each other outside of their religious associations and their employment of demonic manipulation. The oldest text, Ars Notoria, predates the Key of Solomon by a minimum of a century.

So, I would say that it isn’t not inherently appropriative or problematic, so long as it is practiced in isolation from the workings of Alister Crowley, Agrippa, and more contemporary authors.

Sigillum Dei Aemeth The Sigillum Dei Aemeth is a large recorded disk on which are inscribed various names of God and Angels, within a design of Heptagons and Heptagrams. The Sigil was to be placed in the center of the Sacred Tablet, under the Crystal Ball. Smaller replicas were placed under the top, as well as on the ends of the table legs, apparently to insulate the table from terrestrial influences.

Following Honorius and the Heptameron, Cassiel appears in the Liber de Angelis as Cassael (again the angel over Saturn), then in various editions of the 🪽🔑Key of Solomon as Cassiel or Cassael, angel (sometimes archangel) over Saturn or Saturday, and once again in the Sigillum Dei. Cassiel is depicted in Francis Barrett's The Magus as a dragon-riding jinn 🔐 with a beard, again as the angel over Saturn.

The Sigillum Dei Aemeth, or Seal of the Truth of God, is most widely known through the writings and artifacts of John Dee, a 16th century occultist and astrologer in the court of Elizabeth I.

Dee's system of angelic magic, known as Enochian, is heavily rooted in the number seven.

I think Dee initially thought of the Sigillum Dei Aemeth as a sort of Christian Sephirot, but rapidly abandoned the idea when he realized it didn't work, and it wasn't what he wanted from the Enochian magical system.

Enochian Magic The Sigillum Dei (seal of God, or signum dei vivi, symbol of the living God, called by John Dee the Sigillum Dei Aemeth) is a magical diagram, composed of two circles, a pentagram, two heptagons, and one heptagram, and is labeled with the name of God and his angels. It was an amulet (amuletum) with the magical function that, according to one of the oldest sources (Liber Juratus), allowed the initiated magician to have power over all creatures except Archangels, but usually only reserved for those who can achieve the blessed vision of God and angels (beatific visionary).
