Full names. She's not beating around the bush, she doesn't need to be told twice, she is the PERFECT statement giver.

But Jon never even bats an eye at finally getting a statement that ticks all of his boxes that he has been complaining about. He's complained about drug/alcohol influence? She's crossed that one off. He's complained about lack of details? My girl is taking you methodically step by step through the evening. He complained about too much emotion? She's there with the most news reporter statement ever. He's complained about no full names and not being able to do follow up? The London underground and CCTV and full names are right there bucko! She's made it so easy!! God I love her

She's either done this before and knows what she has to do or more likely is a huge sceptic and she was like this is insane but if I am going to believe this insanity then I'm going to MAKE SURE no one thinks I'm insane

And it highlights how full of shit season 1/2 Jon is and how much he's just making up the whole brusque sceptic who doesn't believe in anything act and the whole I know what I'm doing cause if he actually was then he'd rejoice at this statement

Instead he's just concerned about the events and of the old guy, which I think is a really neat show of character development because he's really beginning to understand that there's a wider world out there of little red strings connecting everything

I think also what's interesting is that we see a statement giver who outright shows little to no fear

She fucking accepts her fate and lies down to be buried for god's sake!!!

Maybe that's another reason why we get such little reaction from Jon - it's a barely there statement cause there's no palpable fear really (I'm not really up to scratch on all the fears, cause I'm only on season 3 so I'm just guessing here)

The wedding between Constantine Olafsson, 25, and Britta de Monet, 24, was held that same summer in 1770.

It was the height of summer, and there were enough flowers to go around for all of the decorations for the party.

The Gallery of Beauties (Schönheitengalerie) is a collection of 38 small portraits of the most beautiful women from the nobility and middle classes of Munich, Germany painted between 1827 and 1850 (mostly by Karl Joseph Stieler, appointed court painter in 1820) and gathered by Ludwig I of Bavaria in the south pavilion of Nymphenburg Palace in Munich. Two additional ones were created by Friedrick Drück and one portrait was stolen in the XXth century and remains missing.

During Théodora's pregnancy a happy occassion came when it was time for Rosalie's 18th birthday.

Inés made sure to throw a huge celebration, and family from far and wide were invited.

Another wave of Uppsala Fever had been going around the island that same year, but thankfully the family had suffered no losses and none of the attendees were ill.

Such as cousins Ingmar Bryggare and Karolina Otalbo née Karlsson.

Both of whom had married someone that same year.

Although in Ingmar's case it was the case of a rushed wedding following a scandal, which the family politely chose not to mention.

Or cousins Helga and Karl Olafsson, who had travelled all the way from the farm in the south and who both remained unmarried.

As well as cousins the birthday celebration was of course attended by as many aunts and uncles of Rosalie as possible.

Even Vilhelm managed to get time off work so that he could come and congratulate his dear niece.

Josef was also in attendance, although he had not been able to bring his oldest daughter Anna to the occassion.

She had been involved in a scandal after having two illegitimate children, and societal standards demanded she be forced to stay away.

Still, aside from topics such as Anna or Ingmar's early marriage, the occassion was a happy one and everyone mingled enthusiastically among themselves.

Rosalie had grown into a very beautiful young woman, who bore a strong resemblence to both of her parents in differing ways.

She was, as always, a very polite and proper young woman. Although the sadder events of the past decade had definitely left her with a more gloomy disposition compared to that of her other siblings.

Historical Info

Uppsala Fever (named after the city Uppsala in Sweden (where my step-grandma lives! :D)) was the name of a fever disease that from time to time swept through Sweden and Åland.

It usually struck during autumns from August until October.

The primary symptoms were fever and exhaustion.

It is believed that Uppsala Fever was actually usually typhoid fever or malaria, although we can't ever really be sure.

There were many different diseases that affected the populace that would come and go intermittently and who all had somewhat similar symptoms and various infection and death rates.

3. What is one scene you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all the set-up and context it would need (consider this permission to write and/or share it anyway)?

This is from a planned Dracula/TMA fusion AU (yes, another one) where Jack Seward is the Archivist. The other characters all have their places as well, but the point is that I don’t have to give the context, and I think there’s enough background woven in that it’ll make sense, so let’s just say that this was part of my reaction to loving a particular section of TMA s4 but thinking it would be even better if the person going through it actually had some support. I don’t know if I’ll ever get around to the entire canon rewrite, but either way, I’ll share this now. Here you go!

(The other answer to this question is a proper TMA/Dracula crossover where Jon Sims and Mina Harker are vampires, best friends, and hunting partners. The scene in question is one where they hunt down a victim and feed on them in an extremely polite manner. Juice and pastries are involved.)

6. What character do you have the most fun writing?

Oh, this is a tough one. I love every member of the jailbreak squad SO MUCH, whether they’re the ones I tend to relate to myself (Jon, Mike, Karolina) or the ones who are loosely inspired by or remind me of people I love (Helen, Harriet, Oliver). They all have things that make them incredibly fun to write, but at this moment… I’m gonna have to say Harriet. As a character who does technically exist in canon, but only for about ten seconds in which we learn almost nothing about her, and who I filled in and developed in ways only loosely inspired by canon, she exists in a funny gray area between canon character and OC, and I’m super proud of the way I’ve developed her as a character. She’s endlessly fascinating to me, at least partially because she’s so profoundly unlike me in so many ways—and yet we have enough things in common that I usually very much understand where she’s coming from. I also love writing her because she’s so good at what I can only describe as manipulation (value-neutral)—using her knowledge of people to persuade them to do what she would like them to do. As I mentioned in my ask answer on main, I have exactly zero ability to do this, and honestly I respect and admire the heck out of people who can do it well—especially when, like Harriet, they primarily use it for the benefit of people they care about. (Side note: the Fairchilds sometimes joke that they’re lucky their patron snapped Harriet up before the Web got to her, but the Web probably wouldn’t have been interested for the simple reason that she genuinely has no desire to use that ability to scare anyone.) It’s always a fun challenge to write characters who have skills you very much do not possess. (It’s fun in a different way to write characters who are smart in similar ways to you.) And, of course, she’s just a fun character. Some of her carefree persona is just that, but she genuinely is a cheerful, fun-loving, fairly easygoing person (depending on how you feel about heights, her idea of fun may or may not align with yours, but that’s not her problem 🙂), and a delight to write about.
