another test of time-oriented download! this would be mammut's early civ living for the sims 4, converted to the sims 2. it works best for the roman era, i think, but you can use it in other eras and it would probably fit in as well 😊

everything has been compressed and there are 4 items in total. to reduce the amount of files, the coffeetable is repo'd to the bench. hope you guys find uses for these in your game! ♥

Free-roaming psittacosaurs. LOL

I think I'm just going to fence in and terraform a large percentage of the map and put all the herbivorous species in it and watch them wander around and learn what each likes/needs and who gets along with whom so that I can build for them better in a different park. The animals don't seem to interact with each other (yet), but I enjoyed just watching these escapees wandering around. :) But, they didn't have accessible food or water (even though there are literal lakes on the map), so the animals can't just be left outside of enclosures, unfortunately.

Nimli The Woman should have suspected something was wrong when she managed to prepare an onion soup without interruption from a crying Zull. But instead of being suspicious, she took the opportunity to eat in peace for the first time in days. She chatted with Triki The Midwife and helped Ugg The First with the garden. When she returned to the cave, Zull was still sleeping... ... And he didn't wake up even with Nimli picking him up. His small body was cold and he no longer breathed. Nimli The Woman ran towards Ugg and Triki who were still tending the garden, shouting for help. Something was wrong and she could see it now. She watched in slow motion as Triki wrapped Zull in a hug with tears in her eyes and Ugg cried out for the Watcher's intervention. Without thinking much, Nimli ran towards the volcano. "Something is wrong!" She screamed when she reached the top "Zull doesn't want to wake up, he needs to feed but he doesn't want to wake up!" "Zull is with me, Nimli." Answered the voice. "No… Zull is in the cave with Ugg and Triki. You need to help us, Zull needs to wake up and…" "Zull is with me. It's what happens when a sim leaves their mother before they are ready to face the world. They sleep in paradise, and wakes up next to me." "I demand that you bring him back! And I want it now, Watcher! Give me my son back!" "Interesting… but you demand anything from me. Haven't you learned your lesson? Zull is with me now thanks to you, or have you forgotten that you demanded that he leaves you days ago? You don't demand anything in paradise, Nimli. Especially when you are not ready to deal with the consequences." "Then take me! Do what you want with me, but bring Zull back. I beg you, Watcher!" It is with an extremely small heart that I come to say that Zull did not survive his death roll. By coincidence of fate, the little one died in the first week of autumn, a great opportunity to found the first simnation holiday: Zull's Day, my version of Halloween.

Update: Two more Swatches made by me. I fixed the color tags (I always forget). It has a hole in the cap that is more noticeable in the black color. This is not a problem with the texture, but with the onesie used, probably an error by EA Games. The infant's head in the 3D view appears through the clothing at one point.

The earth shook again, but no one was hurt and there was little damage. They seem to have moved far enough from the volcano. Maybe this is a better place to stay for a while.

Then later that same day, there was a much bigger quake, and they lost almost half of everything.

Beonill turned into an Angelic toddler, Gartnait is Clingy, and Cochlan is a Stargazer. Gartnait's eye colour changed, as happens to babies, to be something less uncanny.

Einwys is a Glutton with the Mind and Body aspiration.

Friendly duels at parties are fun

(My eyes were broken, so Gartnait gets new ones.

hello! recently there has been a MASSIVE rise in popularity for the test of time challenge over on the simscord, and i got roped in to make stuff for everyone, because, well... let's just say there isn't an awful lot of cc for non-medieval or non-modern sims in ts2. so, yeah. have 4 historical hats converted specifically for the early stages of the challenge!

this set includes: - valhallan fortnite flower crown - valhallan dbd babylon plague mask - vintagesimstress bearserker hat - zx-ta tsm fox hat

everything has been compressed and tooltipped, all of the hats have preview included, and are usually for more than just one life stage! wow! if there are any issues with these, kindly let me know 💕

One of the games I bought while in isolation was Prehistoric Kingdom. Which is basically Planet Zoo, only with (accurate! Don't get me started on the fucking Jurassic Park/World movies/games!) non-avian dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals like mastodons, woolly rhinos, and cave lions.

The game's still in early access, but I've read that much of it is functional, so I bought it on sale. I just fired it up tonight to see what it's about and figure out how it works. Which was a little bit difficult because the recent major update of it broke the tutorial, so the tutorial is currently disabled. But as it turns out, at least in terms of landscape sculpting and building stuff, much of it works an awful lot like Planet Zoo -- only with added (and awesome) scaling functionality, not to mention being able to turn off the grid and to paint entire swaths of trees/shrubs instead of placing things one-by-one -- so between that and the in-game help, I could figure out most things.

And then I bred myself some psittacosaurs, shown in the pic, because they're among my favorite non-avian dinosaurs, and plopped them in a habitat....and....Well, a bit of nerding ahead. But before I get to that, I give the game a thumbs up so far, and it has tons of potential ahead of it. I'll probably put the game in unlimited, creative sandbox mode and just check out and build for every dino species in the game before going back and actually playing the game in its challenge mode, where you have to unlock stuff and don't get unlimited money.

Now for the nerding. My psittacosaurs promptly escaped from their habitat because I didn't bother with any natural barriers to block the invisible fences I laid. LOL But that's OK because I just wanted to see what they looked like in the game, given that we actually know a lot about what they looked like in real life in terms of soft tissues and pigmentation and such.

And it turns out that they did a pretty good job with the psittacosaurs! They got the dorky bristles at the base of the tail and the bizarre-o head correct. And they got the countershading right! That is, darker on top and lighter on the belly, which is typical for animals that live in dense forests. We know that psittacosaurs had this because there've been some specimens preserved with soft tissues, which included skin which included preserved melanosomes, so we could find out about the coloration of these buggers. So, the devs got the countershading as well as the subtle stripes/spots correct. I'd say they still look a bit too shiny/plastic-y, so they probably need to crank down the speculars a little, but otherwise? Pretty damn good.

I'd read that the developers of this game were trying to be more scientifically accurate, as opposed to...you know what...but I'm still pretty impressed. Can't wait to see if they did a similarly good job with the dilophosaurs, which are my favorite non-avian dinos. (Fucking Jurassic Park...Dilophosaurs are not tiny, venom-spitting frilled lizards, for fuck's sake, and yes, that was well-known in the early 90s, so there's no excuse!)

Anglosaxon update

Warnings: Adultery, Child death Landen of course took power of the lands as he was Krarbad's heir. Alongside his wife, who became a great advisor. They sent out the news of his court's need for new courtiers and servants, as the family scrambled to organize the chaos that had been left in the wake after Krarbad's death. A lady, whom seems from very far bowed at the sight of the couple.

"Hello. My name is Leoflaed Brookes, I am from a land far from here- where the ground can't grow any crops. My father who has been the chieftain of my tribe, could not find me a suitable husband and sent me on this way, to find a suitable place to settle. I promise to be a loyal courtier, and my skills are perhaps suitable for your highness" Landen seemed to smile in approval.

"Of course. You are welcome to join us. Antonia, would you help them find the womans quarters..?"

She smiled placatingly, though she seemed to get a bad feeling about this.

The interest her husband had shown in her.. and truly, she was beautiful, she felt jealousy at the competition but felt somewhat lost. She knew her husband was kinder than most- and perhaps she should be grateful.

It seems even the greatest of people, kind as they may be, had their shortcomings when their head was filled with the promises of power.

So far, the marriage between Landen and Antonia had not been very fruitful in the matter of heirs. She had only gotten pregnant twice, her second pregnancy resulted in a stillborn, and seemed to struggle greatly with fertility for quite some time. They had gotten help from the master herbalist and spellcaster, Agah, Landens great aunt. It seemed the potion had worked afterall, as soon she was with child.

To complicate matters further, Valora also came to be with child shortly after. The news were hard on Antonia, as she had confirmation of her husbands escapes with the woman..

But despite her wishing to be able to hate on the woman, she could not help but also be thankful for her presence. She was a great help with the household, naturally good with children and also did all the chores around the gardens, and home dutifully. She was certainly a better cook. It gave Antonia time to spend on her real passions, weaving and knitting arts. She made beautiful rugs for the halls of their settlement, and clothing for the babies been born soon.

Thankfully, her eldest & first son and heir to Landen, Aethelbald, seemed to be doing great. He survived most of his childhood rolls in a breeze, and it gave hope to his poor mother.

"Alright Aethelbald, blow the candles son!" Him and Aethelbald in fact had a good relationship, he spent more time with his son than was even expected of him as a ruler, but he wanted to take part in his education.

His happy childhood proved to be fruitful, as Aethelbald grew into a child, he rolled for the 'good' trait, showing that he would at the very least be an empathetic ruler one day.

Justina also gave birth to another son, whom has survived to infancy.

And a few days later, so did Leoflaed. To a son....

Aethelbald began also his studies in reading and writing. Under the tutelage of the great Cyrus, their courtly scribe.

Just a quick post today again, as the Wolfens' lives are all about wolves. They adopted Luna who would breed with Hati. Luna is a black wolf generated by the game, so she's very similar to Midnight [Hati's mother].

Luna gave birth to a puppy on Ishum's birthday. I love it that the puppy turned out looking just like his grandpa! His parents are both black wolves, so it came as a bit of a surprise.

Ishum aged up in the green, but because he was uneducated, he ended up having a mental breakdown right after aging up... He wants to marry a rich sim...

But worry not, he is now in the green again. He got a want fulfilled of 'earning 1500$'. He never earned much, most of the amount came from selling Asena. He just got to this amount of money by collecting some weeds mushrooms, which I allow for my desperate fortune sims.

The wolves are all so territorial I had to get rid of kennels. They still keep challenging each other about food. I will need to give them away to other families, especially that Ishum will need an heir someday, too.

I looked into who could want a puppy in my town and it turned out Ishum's best friend, Damu Orange, wouldn't mind getting one. I think it makes perfect sense. The game decided this puppy was worth 1827$.

I thought the leader of the pack would finally nibble Galfrid Wolfen, but maybe it's not meant to happen... They've been best friends for a while now, and that want has been locked for him forever...

My game also finally spawned an actual gray wolf who I will probably end up breeding with Asena (Hati's sister) in the Imago household. I will try not to adopt this wolf for now, as he is only male so he won't need to be part of a household to incorporate him and I like the idea of having a gray wolf running around my hood.

Also I will have to inevitably add more characters, as there just aren't enough marriage prospects for my sims. So I'm considering adding something like a different nation.
