When you first started dating, you knew he still loved her, you weren’t blind.

You saw the way he looked at her, the smile on his face whenever she talked to him- a smile he never gave you. “Moons…” James warns.

But Remus ignores his warning, “No, fuck this. I can’t stand by this shit anymore. Look at her Prongs, she doesn’t deserve this shit.” He says, putting his hands behind his head as he paces the short hallway.

What was he talking about?

“It’s not our business…” James whispers, so quiet you can barely hear him, but Remus does.

Remus pushes him out of the way and swinging the door open. Muttering an “I’m so fucking sorry,” before walking back to the common room, James’ following behind.

You look in the room, eyes locked onto the sight on Sirius’ bed. He’s lying down, looking happier than you’ve ever seen him, with her on top of him, doing things that you thought he’d only do to you.

You’re dumbfounded, unsure of what to do. Should you make your presence known? Or should you leave? Either way… you couldn’t look at them. You couldn’t see what they were-

“Oh- shit.”

The voice leads you to look up at the… couple… and through the blurry vision that your tears have provided you, you see him staring right at you. His eyes are wide, hers are bigger. She covers herself with the blanket, sheepishly avoiding eye contact with you.

You want to leave.

So you do, walking out the door and rushing back to the common room, it doesn’t take long for you to hear the footsteps of your boyfriend behind you. “Wait, please” He says, finally catching up with you. But you walk past him, heading back to your own dorm, “Just let me explain.” He says, gripping your arm to stop you from moving.

You shake your head, “I think I understand perfectly, thank you.” You say, ripping your arm from his grip as the tears fall down your cheek, “I thought… I thought I was finally good enough for you.” You say, “That you were happy with me.”

He’s crying now, whether its out of embarrassment, guilt or actual regret you’ll never find out.

“But it was always her, wasn’t it? It’s always gonna be her?” You say, the grit in your voice nearly breaking as you hold back your sobs.

Sirius is speechless, and for the first time, he sees what he’s done to you. “I’m so sorr-“

You walk off, ignoring his apology. He doesn’t deserve to feel better because he ‘apologised’. He deserves the guilt. Because you knew now, you really knew.

“ oh” was all i could say, Sirius was rhe one to break it off . the one who initiated it so often before o was i shock or relieved......no i was in shock.

“ i should go” i finally spit out. I rushed out the dorm passing james and renus who were extremely confused on why i was there in the first place . I ran to my room and layed on my bed trying not to let the tears spill. I heard on a knock on my door

They find out she has not yet passed on because she has unfinished business, of which they cannot get a clear answer. However, it takes a turn when they manage to summon her in ghost form. “Are you kidding me?” James says, blocking his eyes from seeing your naked body as you cover yourself up with your boyfriends sheets.

Sirius helps cover you up, turning to his friend, “Look, dude, I can explain.” He puts his arm up, trying to calm him down.

“Explain? Explain what? How you’re- God Sirius, I know you’re a man-whore but my sister? Really? What’s the matter with you?” He said, throwing his hands in the air.

You jump to defend Sirius, “You don’t understand, it’s not like-“

James cuts you off, “No, you don’t get it. You’re my baby sister, he-“

“Dude, I love her!” Sirius shouts. James takes a step back, confusing flushing his face.

But the look of shock could not compete to your own look, he had never said that before. Of course you thought it, even nearly said it a few times, but neither of your had actually said that before.

“Is this true?” Your bother asks you. Gesturing between you and Sirius. You don’t know what to say, unsure if Sirius really meant his words, or if he was just trying to get James off your case. Hoping for the former, you nod.

James takes a minute to think, you’re almost certain he’s about to take sirius out and beat him to a pulp- or at least try to.

Instead James looks at him, the same look in his eyes if he were to beat him up, “If you hurt her, all bets are off the table, understood?” He nods, and James sighs, turning around. “Not while I’m in the house, please. For my sanity.” He says, walking out of your room and closing the door.

You and Sirius don’t talk for a while, just sitting in an awkward silence. The whole reason you’d been hiding your relationship was because you were convinced James would freak and your boyfriend would be a dead man.

But apart from that threat at the end and James calling him a whore, everything went fine. Huh.

“Did you mean it?” You ask, body tensing up as you prepare for the answer.

He turns to you, face completely red. “I didn’t want it to come out this way, but yeah. I love you, so much.”

You pull him in for a kiss. His lips are soft, tender, you feel on top of the fucking moon. Sirius Black loves you, he really loves you. And you know what?

“I love you too.”
