LGBTQIA Sitcom Idea:

Two best friends are always being mistaken for a couple and their friends are always joking about them being boyfriends. It’s annoying for them and they always deny it until one day they simultaneously realize that they love the other. But being stubborn and not wanting to prove everyone right, they try their best to hide it.

The confidant who’s the one person they tell is their sex and romance repulsed aroace friend who’s never shipped them and couldn’t care less. Their attitude towards it all is ‘I don’t care, why are you telling me?’ and they just make snarky fuck sex and love comments the entire time.

*Dumbass Homosexual A takes his shirt off*

*Dumbass Homosexual B blushing from across the room at Dumbass Homosexual A*: “I don’t want to fuck him!”

Aroace: “Yeah, sex is gross.”

It ends with the aroace getting so fed up with dealing with these dumbass homosexuals feelings for each other that they just up screaming, in front of everyone they know, “OH MY GOD. YOU LOVE HIM AND YOU LOVE HIM. JUST FUCKING DATE ALREADY AND LEAVE ME THE HELL OUT OF IT!!!”

ok but imagine a sitcom where a Popular Girl (Girl A) is dating a Popular Guy (Guy A) who is a TERRIBLE boyfriend, and Girl A is constantly complaining about things he doesn’t do, then Guy A breaks up with Girl A. She wants to get revenge, but something unique, and decides to find someone to date him, then break his heart.

None of her friends want to do it, so she decides to get the ‘Nerd Girl’ (Girl B). Girl A explains her plan, she agrees, and eventually starts to date Guy A. But by this time Girl A and B have spent a lot of time together planning and stuff, and then at one point they’re sitting on a roof or smth and Girl A realises Girl B has done EVERYTHING she complained her boyfriend didn’t do. So Girl A kisses Girl B, out of the blue. And then they date and all is happy

Setting Idea - Xenos Café & Grill

This eating establishment in space has recently gotten their caffeine license. The food is decent, but the real draw is the waitstaff, who represent a wide variety of species from across the galaxy. It's pretty much like a Hooters or maid café, but with a focus on a variety of alien species, their exoticism, and their individuality. There isn't a uniform, but instead an accessory that clips on wherever and creates a holographic projection above the person that indicates their name and position to serve a nametag role. The waitstaff are expected to come up with their own character and style that suits them, and the overall result is the place seeming like some small-scale vtuber agency.

The place would not be high class. The "Café &" part of the sign for the establishment looks like it was clumsily attached. The owner is a cheapskate (but still a bit caring at times). The newest employee is a member of a genetically engineered plant species created to be companionship slaves, and the owner of the restaurant was lucky enough to be around when the dignitary that bought her found out that his species is allergic to oxygen. Got a new worker and was paid a disposal fee. The focus on exoticism and individuality is pretty much an excuse to avoid needing to buy uniforms. The nametag holographic projectors are rather easy to hack due to how cheaply made they are. Overall, Xenos is a restaurant that is just managing to stay profitable, though there could be a Kitchen Nightmares plotline at some point.

I'm still working out the cast of people that would work there. Besides the plant girl mentioned before, I think there would have to be a robot that worries about being replaced with genetically engineered life, a talking cat with thumbs who claims to be to be descended from the pet of a royal family, a slime girl that is desperate to get the cat to wear a hairnet so that she wouldn't pick up as much cat hair, and an aquatic species whose sex changes to the least-represented sex in the room.

Cat: Why is that mess assigned to one of my tables? He's dripping everywhere. As a fluid, I cannot interact with him out of concern for cross contamination.

Bot: I doubt that. You've got bones.

Cat: And those bones are suspended in a fluid body. I can take the shape of any container and I leave residue behind.

Goo: Sadly, I can't convince the boss to accept cat hair as residue, even though it keeps clogging up my slime.

Cat: You see? Even our gelatinous coworker agrees that I'm a fluid.

What's up with Shadow from the future? Is he dead? Or is he still looking after Silver?

By the way, is Silver immortal alongside Shadow? If he weren't, it would be very sad.

So, technically, my main Dadow AU doesn't really end up with Silver in a bad future. It's a fixed future timeline where Silver actually gets to grow up in a happy and relatively normal environment, and Shadow gets to share his son with all his wacky friends. It exists just for fluff and sillies.

I DO, however, have an original timeline Dadow AU that does take place 200 years later in the no good very bad future. And THAT, my friend, exists only for the angst art.

lowkey i feel like we don't appreciate the subtle beauty of the concept of media like night and the museum and ghosts. like literally just imagine: a place where history, and its people that are a part of it, comes alive. not exactly literally, but it's there in a way that people can not just see, but have the chance to interact with. and yet no one really sees it until a special person comes along who doesn't seem all that special until something happens that brings them a connection to that history (having watched natm and ghosts it seems like the more traumatizing the introduction the better ehl oh ehl) and it takes a while for them to get used to it but then they do. and they think "oh, well, great, i gotta live with the fact that i'll have concerned citizens from 6th century A.D. asking me who daniel day lewis is" but then it becomes more than that. that person finds a family in the past, and they come to love it as much as it loves them. despite differences between people who lived decades and centuries and thousands of years apart from each other, they find hope and love and redemption, which sounds really naive but it's not impossible. our past unites us, and we are all one and the same when it comes down to it.

history is not all that great. but it's some thing to be no. 1: cherished, because we wouldn't be here without it, no. 2: learned from, so we can get wisdom from the many fricked-up things we have done, and no. 3: remembered, which is the most important, because yes, our leaders sucked and were not who we are taught they were, our nations are not the picture of patriotism they are so often depicted as, citizens are not always happy or treated fairly, but at the same time we have shown the world that leaders, as much as they have brought nations down, have often times brought it to staggering heights, and different nationalities show just how different we all are and at the same time just like each other. if we're aggrieved citizens, we can unite, and in our unity many find hope and family and love and redemption. we'll never be perfect; we're wrecks, history is painfully obvious in that, but that doesn't mean there's no goodness here, because there is.
