Honestly, I feel like Tubbo's itching for lore that's not too emotional in order to keep his attention on the server beyond maintaining his factories, talking to his friends and feeding Sunny, like it's either information or a new mod, something to give him stuff to do that's not the same thing he's been doing for months since he joined.

Thus, Time Travel!

I do think it will become a lore thing with him having promised Sunny to work on it, though tbh I dont think it was planned, maybe he'd thought about it a bit but it came up very naturally and I don't doubt his theories were stuff he came up with on the spot

I think he's gonna do exactly what we're all thinking and go to the past, post Fed but before the Ice Prison, and he and Sunny will figure out how and why he was there in the first place. Personally, I was never a big fan of "Tubbo was part of the Fed" theories because that kinda feels like it undermines his compassion towards the workers, but I'd love it if he did have some involvement with them, such as him getting someone to rebel, and it eventually getting him in ice.

I do also think he will only be able to travel back so far, because of the island itself. I'm still a firm believer that the Quesadilla Island all this is happening in is not a real physical place, and instead something like a computer program, and so Tubbo would only be able to travel as far as the earliest version of it.

But I also can't think it wouldn't be cool if Tubbo ended up being the one who created the Fed, or made Cucurucho/the Census Bureau, or the one who started the human testing (turning norma people into Fed Workers, Hybrid stuff, the islanders themselves being there, etc.)

Honestly it would be nice to have someone find out about Jaiden's stuff, not because of snooping around or eavesdropping but because they remember info they technically already had, from before the island, like having her as their coworker/employee. Or having someone find out about Baghera's stuff, period.

OKAY OKAY OMG okay. so first thought

How I think the time machine works is that it's stationary and is fueled by cobbled deepslate, and another block that moves them forward in time!! It also freezes the users (tubbo and sunny) age until they get back to their time period

Now lore wise? I don't think this is something Tubbo has planned beforehand, but I think it would be AWESOME if the admins actually picked it up and asked Tubbo if this is something he wants to do, and if he doesn't? hey, that's what aus are for!!!

I think they go back to a time where the island is abandoned, maybe right before the first spanish and english speakers arrived and the fed doesn't notice them because tubbo already exists in their system (ice prison) and sunny? well.. the eggs are practically confirmed to be fed experiments.

I think they would hide the machine and succeed because the area they plan on using went completely untouched before I believe? Yeah. It wasn't being used. They grab their motor boat and start their travels. They're going far, far out!! To build a shack and live there

But!! I just love the concept of time machine goes haywire and they don't have any clue at all when they are in the timeline. sooo shenanigans ensue and they start to explore the current times! maybe they have some kind of timer where the machine tells them they need to get back? idk

this is what sparked my previous post!! the one about sunny hearing or like finding out about tallulah wanting to protect their siblings but not them

i also think thats how tubbo would try and stop fitpac from happening but fail miserably, and maybe get to know some of the old islanders that aren't as active or not active at all nowdays

they would watch from afar and see how some of the eggs used to be back in the day and the islanders and just. yeah. i think they would end up leaving in the end, even if they managed to get to know the islanders and the eggs, because it always comes to that

and maybe their next adventure takes them to the federation's beginnings, but I do agree that they can't travel as far back as they would like due to the island's nature, but i think it would be cool if Tubbo joined the federation, or infiltrated it, and then found out about the rebellion, betrayed them both and went on the run, only to be caught in a block of ice and for Sunny to never see him again

would be fitting if charles accidentally killed his brother and genuinely didn't remember. i'd have to think of the details but it would surely be an accident.. perhaps something went horribly wrong when he was messing around with chemicals and it ended up killing his brother in some way.. hehe

ace and nico are fairly obvious. nico would end up killing one of their bullies (cmon. they already tried canonically) and ace would accidentally drive someone to suicide via bullying. though i'd have to expand on ace more since all crimes in milgram are supposed to be morally gray in one way or another.. i'll think about it

similar situation to nico, arei would probably kill her sisters. i'd have to distinguish them more if i end up building on it. i think arei's situation could be less of a "heat of the moment" thing and more of an elaborate plan since i do think nico's murder would be more impulsive

EDIT: just had an idea!!! another possibility for arei's murder could be that her sisters pressured her into doing it, possibly with the promise to cut down on their torture or even make her "popular". would make things a lot more interesting, so i'll likely go with it

arturo would definitely try reviving a dead celebrity like shidou did with his wife. you cant even try to tell me im wrong. i don't think arturo would regret it at first however.

Ugh. So. I have a Klapollo Christmas fic within the previously mentioned extended fic series. There are 4 fics I need to post first or else it will make no sense.

The fic itself has a good amount written but is not finished but I probably could write the remaining scenes pretty easily. I would love to post this at Christmas but erm. We'll see.

I could cut down the previous references and just have it all be out of order as I post.

The first fic is a good good way done.The second is short sweet and basically done. The forth is a short sweet fluff fic that's not got too much written yet but should be easy enough to bang out. The third one is a complete god damn shitshow that I'm really unhappy with at the moment. I want to rearrange a tone of stuff before I post it. There's some stuff in there I adore. Then there's other stuff I hate and want to cut out immediately but can't because the stuff I like its currently dependant on it. It's got no coherent structure. There's a million things I want to cover in it but not over riding theme. A lot of the later stuff hinges on events in this one so I can't just completely kill it. It's overstuffed and just a complete Trainwreck. I recognize that what I post doesn't have to be good and this is a fan space but I genuinely don't want to put this out there in this state. Like to explain what a state it's in its currently dealing with a mirror to FmT, sibling reveal, setting up Klapollo, Manfred's execution, Narumitsu proposal, another thing on this list, AJ fallout, and Edgeworth's promotion and very very little connective tissue between these concepts.

This is relevent because the DND fic is kind of a midquel to said Christmas fic so need to come out after it.

Idk guys Christmas sounds a little too optimistic. I may post the Christmas fic very very late.

Ok so this one is more complicated because I don't really have posts for it but I did want to break it down for me and for future reference.

1: Untitled: Disbarment

Concept:

Begins with some small stuff during the trilogy, Choosing death, forbbien hospital scene and what not but is primarily about Phoenix's disbarment. Narumitsu fic mainly but there's a good deal of Franmaya and also some deeply toxic Krisnix.

Status:

A lot written but missing a lot of connective tissue and I want to put in some fluff padding at points. Also there's probably a smut scene or two that I want to write but have been putting off.

2: Untitled- Turnabout Trump Missing Scenes and Fallout

Concept:

Kind of tieing some loose ends from the last fic with some headcaons I have about this case in particular. Short. Probably a one shot. Could be an epilogue to the previous but I think will be worth publishing as its own thing.

Status:

Basically done. Need to be published in order.

3: Untitled Hell

Concept:

After Turnabout succession Phoenix goes to Europe with Edgeworth and Trucy and Apollo stay behind to take a case. When Apollo is writing up his journal notes from the Misham Trial they look through Phoenix's paper work to clear up some loose ends and find out a lot they didn't know. Meanwhile stuff gets more and more out of hand in Europe

Status:

Already said. Absolute hell.

4: Turnabout PTA

Concept:

When Edgeworth gets promoted to Chief Procecutor, Phoenix takes him to the PTA to show off. Chaos ensues

Already said. This and turnabout Orca are the only ons before the Christmas Turnabout that doesn't have to be posted before it. This one could probably come out on its own but it's best after the 3rd fic

5: A Stray turnabout

Concept:

Short sweet fluff fic. Athena meets her Boss's fiance. Edgeworth worried about Trucy's grades. Phoenix adopts a stray puppy. Apollo gets to subject the agency to one of his special interests

Status:

Like half written and the other half is inmy brain. It's just not been a priority.

6: Turnabout Orca

Concept:

Turnabout reclaimed from Edgeworth's perspective

Already said. Will be posted when it's posted.

7: A Christmas Turnabout

Concept:

Just after the end of dual destinies, Apollo invites Klavier to the Wright-Edgeworth Christmas party given that his previous plus one is now dead. It's the obligatory Klavier joins the found family and gets "forgiven" (read: realised he was never blamed I'm the first place) for Phoenix's disbarment fic that I always eat up. Also dealing with the fallout of DD and Clays death and Klavier's fallout after AJ. Big ensemble cast. Angst and fluff.

Status:

Solid half way done

7.5 Untitled DnD

Concept:

Some for the cast are bored and unable to sleep on Christmas Eve so Trucy runs a Christmas one shot for their DnD party.

The idea for this was that all the family members have a DnD character but it's kind of expected that not everyone can always make it. So it's an induction for Klavier and Simon into the fold by making their characters and joining in. The players for this fic are Klavier, Apollo, Simon, Athena, Kay, Pearl and Sebastian. Maya, Phoenix, Ema and Edgeworth all also have characters but aren't present for the game for reasons that make sense in context.

Status:

Already said

8: Turnabout Date

Concept:

A direct sequel to A Christmas Turnabout taking place a day or so after that one leaves off. Klavier has asked Apollo on a dated to an intimidatingly fancy restaurant.

Meanwhile as the anniversary of DL6 draws closer Edgeworth ends up giving up and giving the prosecutors office a holiday break until the New Year. In turn Phoenix gives the WAA the time off too given the stress of the last week. Both offices decide to help their respective idiot in love prepare for the date. Though the weird girls of Maya and Kay end up on the opposite of their usual sides as Phoenix needs requests the aid of everyone's favourite great thief and Maya get caught up in the chaos after an attempt to seduce her girlfriend.

Status:

About a third written. I'm really really fond of this one though.

9: A Family Turnabout

Concept:

A pair of ghosts from Phoenix's past turn up on the agency door all related to Athena's most recent case. A poisoning in a tea shop that she herself witnessed.

Tensions are high as more than one Wright family member's life hang in the balance. As Phoenix's mental state grows slowly more unstable, his relationship with his daughter is put to the test.

While Athena and Apollo butt heads about how much their powers are to be trusted and ask they begin to learn more and more about the mysterious group the victim and defendant belong to, Phoenix's protegee are forced to ask serious questions about what justice really means and if the WAA's tactics in court are really moral and safe.

Status:

Hey idk if you can tell. This is my favourite. If I could just post this and focus on it I would. Unfortunately it needs a lot of fucking context. Stuff that's fine to just be explained to a reader who knows they can learn more in other available fics but will sound insane if not. How much is written. A whole lot. The stuff that's missing is the case fic stuff but I know exactly what I'm doing with that now so it just needs to be properly written out. There's probably a few posts I could have linked to put this bad boy on the mentioned works in progress section but that would probably spoil it a bit and I don't want to do that.

10: A Perfect wedding Turnabout

Concept:

Narumitsu wedding. Big old ensemble piece. Stuff will get crazy but I don't want to spoil anything. But those two could never have a normal wedding come on.

Status:

This was like the 3rd fic is started writing and well. It shows. I don't love how a lot of it reads. I want to rewrite a tone. But there is a lot already on the page. The other 2 I wrote this early were a very early draft of the first fic which has been revised enough to be fixed and then the 3rd fic which is the bane of my existence. I like the plot concept I have. But I worry about the prose. When I wrote this is had been a long ass while since I'd tried to write a big cast like this and it fucking shows. Also just the character voice is off. It's kind of expositiony. It's not as unsalvageable as 3 it's just not there yet.

2 Bonus fics

Concept:

I kind of want to do a narumitsu fluff fic of them buying a house together and putting up furniture after 3 and I wouldn't mind a reunion faraskye fic before 3. But the benefit of me having written nothing and having planned nothing is that they have no vital link to the others so they can just be punished whenever and I'll say where they are in the timeline.

Okay cmere (pats my bed foryou to sit next to me) this will make no sense probably but I've had many specific thoughts about this idk if it's any good

umm i won't lie I have a whole ass au in the making rn skcnkdkdkd but im very unsure about many things so I'm not going to go into this stuff much. However I've been thinking about this for quite some time and what I think is that a scenario like that would require a new villain (or one that already exists but I'm not versed enough in sonic lore and idk them). LISTEN IDK anything about enerjack I WILL I prommy I will and I will scream about ittt But. A villain that is interested in Echidnas, Angel Island and stuff, someone knowledgeable and with big big ambitious. I don't see it being Eggman cause I feel like the most Eggman would do with the Master Emerald is powering some big ass robot or a giant laser or something. And this should be personal. This should be about Angel Island and the Echidnas and about Knuckles' life and his mission. Knuckles doesn't go super, he doesn't use the emeralds, he doesn't use the Master Emerald, he just guards it. So to get him to actually use it, get corrupted by it, it would have to be something powerful and something that plays on all bad parts of his life. I don't really see Knuckles as someone who angsts a lot about his situation, he's unsatisfied by it but I don't think he's going to cry about it. He's proud of being the guardian of the Master Emerald even though it has big big downsides. The things that would actually be painful would be failure as guardian (not just of the ME but his friends too)loss of Angel Island, loss of something big, very important to the echidna culture, stuff like that, idk I'd have to think it through haha. I don't think Knuckles being corrupted by the Master Emerald should be anyone's end goal. It could be something of a side effect, perhaps Knuckles trying to protect it from destruction or corruption or something would get corrupted himself and entangled with the Emerald's power. All very cool he needs a very cool form. Personally I think the tactic for his defeat could be more than one person using the chaos emeralds to become super, this way let's say Sonic takes all the punches (gets punched out of his super form like the master can do) and for example Tails and Amy (I need them to go super pls pls pls) could blast Knux to smithereens lmao. You know what I mean. I think? But basically, this is a very cool concept but I NEED it to be so good and big and dramatic. This is NOT a one shot idea for me okay, I need a 50k story at least.

i would never turn away a roytim ask because I do truly love the ship!!! it's a shame there's so few fics about it and ive never been able to come up with a cohesive plot for them. outside of the bats roy is my favorite to pair tim with!!! (yes that includes kon they're really great together but roytim just carries that wonderful forbiddenness that makes it so much more interesting!)

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? gotta say Time Enough, bc it's more refined than its predecessor, Know What Can't Be Shown (man i really need to stop giving my fics such long titles, i always end up shortening them when referring to them). but for reference, both are pre-Unknowing jmart kiss fics; it's a favored headcanon of mine. Time Enough also spends more time musing on how Jon and Martin are feeling—that is, they feel Bad. Absolutely Terrible. sad and scared, both for the Unknowing and for each other.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Here, Nowhere, Somewhere, absolutely. the ending itself is pretty open, but Jon and Martin have reunited post-MAG 200, admitted they still love each other after its events, and found themselves Somewhere Else. it's the most hopeful.

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? ages ago i was reading this one rom-com webcomic where two people wound up as roommates bc the landlord accidentally rented the single apartment to both of them, which i thought was a really cute premise, but then BAM there was some really awful transphobia in it. when called out in the comments, the author doubled down, so i snatched up the concept and decided "i'm gonna make this t4t out of SPITE." but uh i've found spite doesn't work very well as a fuel source for my work, and i can get the same awkward domesticity/mutual pining out of a safehouse fic, so it'll probably just stay buried in the WIPs folder.

What are your writing strengths? dialogue. or at least, making a character's dialogue sound like their voice. vocabulary, things like stammering or using filler words, cutting oneself off or pausing a bunch, that sort of thing. though sometimes the dialogue itself feels a little clunky. i also think i'm rather good at writing emotional scenes, especially once i'm in the editing stage of things.

What are your writing weaknesses? over-editing. my utter beloathed. i sometimes get really caught up in trying to make everything as clear as possible, when that just makes the work 5,000 words too long and takes way more time to do. i'm trying to be better about it.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? i think it's neat! but if you're monolingual you should read up on writing bilingual/multilingual characters beforehand, don't just wing it.

First fandom you wrote for? probably Pokémon? i'm not entirely sure.

Favorite fic you've written? Time Enough, hands-down. (though uh, hypothetically, if i wanted to make some small edits to it, would it be weird to do so? especially seven months after posting? there's a handful of lines i wish i'd phrased a bit differently.)

Actually, I'm not keeping (most part of) what happened in Derision in the AU!

Thing is: I find potential in the "Chloe will develop as a better person" concept, and I don't think her being such a TERRIBLE person helps her being "redeemed" (or at least becaming someone better) hahah- and I'd rather just not redeem her than redeem her without addressing or writing those storylines properly. I also don't like the original episode, for multiple reasons

So yeah, not keeping what Kim did in there. But that said, I'm not sure who I'm giving the miraculous to besides the main five + Kagami, Luka and probably zoe. I honestly think that "spamming" miraculous holders without giving them a proper storyline that makes each of them unique and that doesn't feels "repetitive" is actually something that kinda "ruins" the magic", you know? If everyone has powers, there is no fun in having powers anymore. The concept of gaining cool powers needs to be something unique for me- like, if a new holder simply transforms without finding it amazing (or maybe TRULY frightening) and without having any difficulties, seeming almost as "trained" as the MAIN holders, than despite the fanservice, what's really the fun in watching this?

So, if I were to choose characters to use miraculous temporarily, I need to follow 3 criteria: 1-Giving them a miraculous that will, somehow, REALLY help them develop something important in their own character arc, and not only be "fanservice"

2-Having a situation in which giving a miraculous to an inexperienced person is, somehow, more worth it than Ladybug or Chat noir simply using them themselves

3-Only giving them to people REALLY not only trustworthy, but also capable of keeping secrets, to avoid the risk of them being endangered in the future

4-Keeping both the enthusiasm of receiving a magical jewel and the inexperience in their actions. They will find what they're going through amazing. They won't really know how to do ANYTHING without help. They won't have experience in battle, unless their civilian forms do train some type of fighting (like Kagami or Félix).

Considering all that, although I have some things already being thought of, it's VERY hard to find reasons to give inexperienced people miraculous. Even when idk, Alya used the fox, what would prevent ladybug for giving her another miraculous when the fox isn't needed? After all, she would have gained some experience. So I would need to find a reason in EVERY new hero appearance as to why were THEY the chosen ones? What would make THEM the best options, between so many others? Depending on the reason you find for that to happen (like idk, maybe "all the other people are unreachable now"), it would just be repetitive. So, in summary: I have to think of some other mechanics for "many holders" being something possible, so I don't have the answer to that question. Maybe he- as well as the whole miracuclass- will be holders, maybe (almost) none of them will.

And even if they do, I'm also probably changing some choices. Although I'll keep the main 7 with their original jewels, many people in the miracuclass might have a kwami swap, if I find it more fitting to the narrative. Maybe I'll even give some miraculous to people who actually aren't in the class and weren't original holders, since I'm adding the special characters (Fei, Jess, etc) in the main storyline, and will probably give focus to some of them (specially fei).

I also don't know if ALL the miraculous (besides the butterfly and the peacock) will be in the main box. Since I'm adding new villains (probably the hardest part in the AU if I'm being honest hahah) and have yet to figure it out how their storylines will go, I'll likely give them some miraculous (or at least one)

So yeah hahaha, in summary, Kim won't be the same almost-unforgivable-asshole he is in Canon, but he also might or might not get a miraculous. Only time will tell

anyway this is going to be like an au of the bfu au but also thats irrelevant.

essentially, jack is having the worst possible go at life. he's just been fired, his girlfriend dumped him a week before, rent is due soon, and his roommate is depending on him. everything is coming to a head all at once, and during the typical 3am panic attack in his room, jack swears something... answers him?

hey, do you need some help?

there is no one in his room, he thinks. he thinks, until a shadow shifts in his vision, toward him, and a face resides in it. not a clear one, mostly white shapes within the black expanse in front of him. rather round, friendly eye shapes for a creature of darkness.

"um," jack stutters out, "like, i'm having a panic attack, and seeing things–"

oh that's horrible! the wide eyes and shapeless form... says? jack can hear it- him, he has... a really sweet, soft voice actually. you aren't seeing things, though. i'm here. i'm here to help, just reach your hand out.

fuck it, it couldn't hurt, so jack's shaky hand reaches out. and it disappears from view? he thinks, at least, until something holds it and the waves of panic raging through his body simply lapse against the shore. his breathing evens, his head levels out. he's calm.

"cool..." jack breathes out. "thank you? thank you. it did help, um, can... i have my hand back?"

"jack."

no, your name.

"it's jack, dude- thing..guy."

the calm is ripped away, the panic sets his heart in motion too suddenly, and his lungs can't take in air.

"fuck, fuck, it's cisco," he gasps out. "oh my god, it's cisco. stop."

and he does stop, and the shadow smiles, and jack can see his hand again because the shadow isn't holding it anymore.

thank you, jack, he says, and the shadow looks friendly again. i'll see you later! i'm happy i could help.

"what the fuck," jack breathes out. "what even is this? are you?"

oh, i'm davey. look, i have to go, but i'll be back later, so no need to miss me too much.

and then it- he's gone, and jack is left calm in his room at 3:15 in the morning.

basically jack's energies are so, so shit that they attract david, a demon, and jack gives davey his name, so basically davey is going to have a very very fun time with his personal little human and protect him from time to time. so instead of getting sent a guardian angel, jack gets sent a demon literally because his energies are so sick and twisted to the point where davey is like. someone must have literally cursed you as an infant, the occult must have gotten a hold of you, because your spiritual levels are so, so awful.

but also i think he can have dangerous magical connections as a treat

jack being a magical mystery is a concept i have thought about a lot, and idk if this is rly how i'd end up doing it, but i think it'd be kind of funny. like if jack was abt to be hit by a car davey's voice would go OH MY GOD WATCH OUT and possess jack, move him out of harm's way in time, and release him.

The past week has been chaotic BUT - I am proud to have posted something every day of dimilix week. <3 Last year was very hit and miss although I think the year before I'd also managed it. Granted, some of these are WIPs so I don't get full marks.

Day One - Lost/Confessions/Shakespearean AU think but this and all is mended - 2/3

The prompts are perfect for a Midsummer Night's Dream mashup, so that is what we are going for here with tweaks. Mine is not nearly as bawdy, although I'm enjoying Felix making sword and lance metaphors that may not be metaphors because he really is a weapons fan.

Day Two - Rumors / Dancing / Teacher AU And Miles From Where You Are - 1/4 Anastasia AU. Sylvain finds a boxer in the underground that just so happens to look almost exactly like the dead/missing prince of Faerghus. Felix is not so pleased. (I've got this one partially written but need to focus on the "Sylvain teaching someone else how to act like a proper noble" part.)

Day Three - Journeys / Ribbon / Supernatural AU AND Day 7 - Found / North Star / Another Time and Place Sir Felix and the Azure Knight Idk if you have noticed or not but I am all in on fantasy and I've been percolating on a Sir Gawain and the Green Knight story for a while as an excuse to play around with Felix's concepts of chivalry and indulge in some olde school King Arthur myths. The problem? Felix hasn't even met Dimitri yet! ;.; ;.;

Day Four - Tea Time / Ghosts / Customer Service AU lost in the supermarket There isn't much to say about this. Anna has two annoying customers being annoying. There's probably more in-jokes about the condom purchases that I could go into but it didn't really fit well. Also, if anyone cares, "lost in the supermarket" is one of my favorite songs by The Clash.

Day Five - Wounded / Midnight / Fairy Tale AU The Tale of a Boy, His Cow, and the Lost Prince - 1/3 Another one I'm pecking away at but I think this was conceived as a Jack and the Beanstalk / misc fairy tale mashup so I promise it will be weird.

Day Six - Lions & Wolves / Rituals / Tumblr AU my body aches to breathe your breath (your words keep me alive) - 1/2 - NSFW Uh - I've been thinking of writing something like this for a while because, y'know, weird fantasy. Title is from Possession by Sarah McLachlan. May or may not be relevant. Felix runs a blog about investigating old myths and cryptids and ancient sites, and Things Happen.

Day Eight - Free Day the thing and the hole of the thing I'd written this for a fellow dmlx'er who has been doing a lot of heavy lifting and graphic design and misc stuff and just thought it needed to be expanded into a full fic. With holes. Lots of holes. None of them naughty though.

oooooo a very interesting concept! tbh, i don't think he could last a day there, too many rules :P but theoretically at least!

1. maybe I'm biased and maybe that one post abt clowns and furries sharing a secret language is stuck in my head. but i wanna say he'll like atsushi! or at least think he's really cool, and if in this au he's generally like. better, he will do what he can to help atsushi break free from his trauma and let go of the memories of the orphanage director, i think. pre the accident he'll probably go "hey, you want me to kill that guy for you?" and when kunikida yells at him he'll say it's a joke (but privately make it clear to atsushi it isn't and he can just say the word and it'll happen)

2. speaking of. no way in hell he could get along with kunikida 😭 they might have their moments of intense yet mostly friendly discussions but overall their methods will just clash too much unfortunately. hell on earth for all parties involved

3. turning to the ask i replied a few minutes ago, he and tanizaki would be crazy good as partners, at least technically speaking. but tbh personality wise too! i think tanizaki is chill enough (mostly) to balance nikolai's pep if needed. the only problem is once tanizaki gets murderous bc someone might hurt naomi, nikolai pulls a foam finger from the overcoat and starts cheering him on instead of reeling him back in to avoid, yknow, murder.

4. he's less about solving, i think 🤔 more about saving people from danger directly. given how he does have the whole "releasing people from the prisons of their minds" thing going on, I'd say he has at least some mild need to save people, and fukuzawa might lean into that and assign him this type of cases (ironically i think that means he'll have to work often with kunikida lmao)

that being said. i think he will have some knack to solving crime if he really wanted it. I'm a firm believer he's smarter than he lets on, and is quick at thinking on his feet and choosing the correct course of action to fit the situation, which might translate into being very perceptive very quickly. so if someone like ranpo or dazai isn't available he might be sent off and figure it out too. the problem is he will go after the suspect without telling anyone anything first :P

Imma give ya Tree life lore ig!! Incoming info dump!!!

So, in my au the Tree of Life chooses it guardians!! It favours immuned shapes A.K.A shapes born with immunity to the corruption cuz it's eaiser to avoid a corrupt shape having the powers. (little fun fact, in the past these shapes were called pure shapes but later scientists found out the immunity wasn't because they were "pure", it was just a gene that gets activate at birth and exists in all shapes excluding born-corrupt. It just activates it rarely).

The chosen warriors get a special mark given by the Treeangle themselves know as the Warrior's Mark. The special mark can appear anywhere on the body. With this mark they can activate the powers of the Treeangle and purify shapes and Plants at anytime. Usually, to use the powers without the mark you'd need a mini treeangle piece but it is one-time use, takes your energy and the power lasts for about 10 minutes. (Some shapes wear the mini treeangle as good luck charms and if someone gives one to someone else it's a sign that Shape or Plant cares abt you! It's typically a friendly gesture!)

The Warrior's Mark also provides a permanent power to the user. Eg. Cyan's is flight with his wings, Circle(need to give em a name lol) has super strength.

The Warrior's Mark can be "retired" by the user in exchanged for a wish that the Tree must grant. The Mark can be revoked too if the Treeangle finds the user no longer worthy.

Thats very neat that the tree chooses the guardians !! If one of the warriors stops being a warrior how long does it take for a new one to be chosen? Or does it just happen immediately- I can imagine it might take some time to find a new shape thats good for the job

Also how many warriors are there? Are there 4 just like in the game itself or is it more/less?

I also like the immunity thing ! The only shapes in my au that can have imunity from corruption are the guardians but instead of the guardians being chosen they're just created specifically to be one !

It must be hard being born corrupted though, I feel like all of the uncorrupted shapes would fear them wouldn't they? I find the concept of shapes that are born corrupted really interesting tho ! The corruption in my au is more like a disease tho rather than something shapes are born with

hm, difficult to say. most au's/concepts i come up with sort of run away from me at high speed and i end up writing them just based on how much thought i've already put into them, so aside from the chess au i talked abt for one of the other asks i answered, there's only a few au's/concepts i would like to see but haven't gotten around to? a lot of Gideon Raised In Other Houses AU's i generally get hype abt (re: lose my gd marbles abt) like -- Gideon raised on the Sixth alongside Pal and Cam? I'd go bonkers. Gideon raised on the Fourth, achieves cav primary for same-age heir, only to see them killed in a combat zone and return to Tisis to see Isaac named as new heir? frothing at the mouth. Gideon raised on the Second and laying the groundwork for BARI-Star AU? love it love it love it!

i have about a dozen wip's on the backburner that i stir every so often when i remember they're there; dead cav club au, tv show au, various Anastasia the First speculative fics, plus something i'm fiddling w/ that i will tentatively codename "pied piper au" (if that doesn't fully give it away)

i am also participating in the tlt big resurrection event (referred to in my tags as tlt bre) and I am working on something that i have been codenaming "fucked up au" on my blog. can't tell you very much, the premise itself gives a huge chunk away, but i've breached 70k on it and still have a good quarter of it to fill in/fully draft. This being said, here's some out-of-context dialogue from the first chapter:

“Teacher said there was no way to contact anyone from Canaan House,” Harrow says, dubiously. She herself has never had need to use one, and even if she had she’s not sure she’d know how to use this relic. It’s quite obviously a lot older than any radio the Ninth has, and there’s an abundance of dials and switches that aren’t even labelled.

Nevertheless, Gideon continues to fiddle with the radio as if she weren’t a cavalier at all, but some kind of tech expert. “Well, he wasn’t lying about that. This is a classic am model; it’s for receiving broadcasts, not sending them.”

Harrow gives the device a doubtful look, “What’s the use of receiving if there’s no way to reciprocate?”

Gideon mumbles something under her breath that sounds suspiciously a lot like that’s what she said, but when Harrow asks her to repeat herself, she says, “I said that’s a good question. Pretty sure it was for entertainment.”

Silver for the ask game

First impression: I believe I first learned about him via his trophy in Super Smash Bros Brawl when I was about 9. Based on his description, I thought he sounded pretty cool, but I couldn't get a good read on his personality.

Impression now: I like him a lot! His facets are interesting, how he can be very sweet yet is willing to go to extremes to save the world. But yeah, wouldn't you be desperate to save the world too if you lived in the world he did? He's especially adorable in the IDW comics.

Favorite moment: "I'm so gonna own you, Silver." "Okay. :)" Also love in Archie when he's trying to kill Sonic but there's so many hedgehogs in the room that he's just asking everyone politely if they're the guy he wants to kill, and in IDW when he meets Whisper and automatically assumes she doesn't like him because she prefers solo work.

Idea for a story: In my Barbie AU, I've been thinking a bit about the lore behind the Cloud Garden including his role as king of the moon. And in my MH/EAH AU, uhhh I don't wanna spoil too much but because Galahad is the son of Lancelot, I'm gonna take Silver's role at Ever After High in a direction that may be a bit surprising.

Unpopular opinion: idk if this is unpopular to say, but I don't think Silver needs to be blood related to any of the other characters (outside of satbk). I feel like a lot of people want him to be someone's descendant, and that's a fun concept but he can just be a guy that has crazy powers for no reason, it's fine.

Favorite relationship: Him and Blaze as friends. I think they're sweet together and contrast each other nicely. I'd like to see more interactions outta them in the games, since she was his first friend. I'm very curious about how they met.

Favorite headcanon: omg my kid sister goes wild with headcanons and Silver is her favorite so he's no exception from this. My favorite of hers is that he and Adrien Agreste from Miraculous are each other's counterparts from different dimensions, because they're both currently voiced by Bryce Pappenbrooke in English.
