Like Cassie actually acts like a human being?? And like her knowledge of the original characters and cute little comments on every item are so endearing there is so much detail going into this.

The fact that they expanded on one of the fan faves Roxanne and giving her a great arc I’m in love I’m so happy

They honestly gave more depth to all the animatronics too like we finally see Bonnie’s design and get and get a taste as to what happened, also that poster Freddy gifted him I’m crying they are so cute and gay I love them

Also the whole dark ride section with Monty is so fascinating like is that narrative kind of true or is it just fabricated by fazbear inc to cover up the decommissioning of Bonnie

Why replace Bonnie with Monty?? Why not make a new Bonnie model?? With the prototype label on Freddy it may be confirmed that they make multiple models (well we already kinda knew that with Freddies comments but oh well)

Also Freddy?? Like is that our Freddy or a different one?? They very clearly highlighted the prototype label so they want to emphasize it, but then the head is still missing like in the princess quest ending so what is the truth??

I was really not expecting eclipse to be the way they were, very… normal? Is that the right word?? Like obviously a little delusional on when the daycare is gonna open again, but in the right mindset of like this child needs to leave this place is not safe. It is interesting to me that both he and Roxy thought that it was Cassie’s birthday, maybe that was the last day before she left the plex? Or maybe that was the day the plex caught fire? Or maybe most depressingly we are playing on Cassie’s birthday so the animatronics have it in their systems what her birthday is and wish her a happy one (if they are in the right state of mind lol)

I think you can still say it was mainly the virus but I would argue even if it’s not the virus I feel like moon is kinda justified here. Like sun has been shutting him away for a long time before this (if the books are to be believed but also in general) so when he finally gets a chance to roam free of course he’s gonna take it. And idk about u but if my alternate personality was constantly trying to shut me out and I finally got control, I probably too would try and keep my control for as long as possible. Also from what I have seen so far, not even moon is all that aggressive? Like he grabs you at the beginning, but I think that’s just his very ineffective way to get kids to sleep and other than that he just kinda stays away

Poor sunny baby is stuck in the ar world 🥺🥺 I didn’t notice at first but yeah everytime you talk to him it’s only in the ar world. And the end part where you switch them out for eclipse if you do that in the ar world, he says not for me it’s for moon.

I will say though I noticed the voice acting for them changed a little this game, like both have a higher pitch and are more goofy sounding? Like more gremlin energy than evil villainy. I wonder if that was on purpose? Both of them sounded more like the other so maybe that was the reason? Interest interest

Also their mouth moves?? Sort of?? That’s so silly to me they have a whole working mouth system and their face mask doesn’t work with at all 😭

Does give me lore intrigue tho cause like why do their mouths move but not anymore?? Did something happen?? Are they just not maintained enough?? They also move outward instead of up and down (at least from what I saw) so is the mechanism different?

Also the way that sun and moon talk about eachother is so interesting. Like moon says the light hurts “us” and sun says “no the other me” like they seem to almost consider eachother more connected than we first thought, like they’re not just coworkers or strangers they are almost like two sides of the same person. It’s very interesting and I wonder where people will take this.

Ok ok update moon does have a jump scare but it’s ridiculously hard to get and I’d still argue he’s not as vicious as he was base game. I mention in another post but eclipse being as kind as he is and being (presumably) a combination of both AIs, gives even more evidence moon is supposed to be kind and caring like his posters suggest but something went wrong. Also Cassie’s comments on their plushes show that there were kids who truly liked the daycare.

Sorry this took so long to craft up. I am but a small creature! This is everybody I could think of!  Unless of course I am forgetting someone? Which is entirely possible as my brain has about as much RAM as a packing peanut.  Officer Bobby Dunn- Possesses Glamrock Freddy. If you want to know his whole deal just follow the link here for details.  Gabriel (Gabe) - Possesses Glamrock Bonnie. One of the original victims of William Afton’s. Gabe is the eldest of the bunch and tends to be the leader in most situations, although that wasn't always the case.  Susie - Possesses Glamrock Chica. She is the baby of the group but absolutely loves having rowdy siblings to mess around with. She too was one of the original children to go missing.  Fritz - Possesses Pirate Foxy. Fritz is the middle child and is more than a handful, often being the one to get into the most trouble. He refuses to call his new frame a ‘Glamrock’. Cassidy (Cassy/Cass)- Possesses Golden Freddy/ OG Freddy frame that has been lost in storage for years. Cassy was one of the original children and once the ring leader of their small ghostly group however she vanished and has been missing for quite some time now…   Then we have the rest of the cast Sun, his twin Moon and Eclipse. H.E.L.P.Y. along with everyone’s favorite murder bunny Springtrap aka William Afton. Roxy & Monty who may or may not be possessed but that remains to be seen…  Coming to the humans…Vanessa and the cast of my FNAF AU OC’s.  Liam Cooper- the new technician hired by FAZCO to handle maintenance on the building as well as routine work on the animatronics. Liking objects more than people he has taken a liking to the Sunny daycare attendant. Monica Spinelli- the designer and creator of Sun & Moon. If you ever thought those two looked out of place in a building full of endo’s and Glamrock’s you are right! She was a private engineer FAZCO hired years ago to create child care animatronics for their up and coming daycare. She however left the company rather abruptly and no one seems to know the answer as to why. The secret may lie in her creations.  Ava Harper- the new face of FAZCO. She has bought up a good amount of shares in the company and now runs it as a co-owner along with Todd and a mysterious benefactor.  That is a wrap! Yet another Sun and Moon show au.

The alternate universe is called "Sunny's Pizza Plex" au. In this universe, Sun, Moon, Earth, Eclipse, Lunar, Happyfrog, Mr.Hippo, and Bloodmoon are the stars of the Pizza Plex instead of Freddy, Monty, Roxy, and Chica, who are the daycare attendants in this au.

Sunny is a glamrock themed golden retriever animatronic. He's the fun loving leader of the group and his main attraction is Sunny's arcade.

Moondrop is a techno themed wolf animatronic. He's the cool one of the group and his main attraction is Moondrop's laser tag.

Earth is an indie folk themed butterfly animatronic. She's the motherly character of the group and her main attraction is Earth's cozy café.

Lunar is a kawaiicore mouse animatronic. He's the sweet one of the group and his main attraction is Lunar's sweet shop.

Bloodmoon is a heavy rock themed bat animatronic(based on old design). He's the tough guy of the group and his main attraction is Bloodmoon's raceway.

Eclipse is a classical music themed lion animatronic. He's the gentleman of the group and his main attraction is Eclipse's art muesam.

Happyfrog is a pop themed frog animatronic. She's the peppy one of the group and her main attraction is Happyfrog's beauty salon.

Mr.Hippo is a tropical music themed hippo animatronic. He's the laid-back one of the group and his main attraction is Mr.Hippo's water park.

Spring was a Christian music themed rabbit animatronic. He was the wise friend the others looked for guidance and his main attraction was Spring's Christian gift shop. He fell victim to a freak accident on stage and was completely destroyed. Lunar ended up replacing Spring and his branding and Bloodmoon(Batty at the time) was built to takes Lunar's place as the little robot helper of the employees.

Batty(based on second design) was Bloodmoon's old identity. He was a small, white and red bat animatronic who wore a navy blue cloak and he was built to be the new robot employee aide, but he wanted to be more than that, he wanted to be one of the stars, he tried imitating the stars in hope he could possibly become the co-star of one of them, but he wasn't able to find his footing, after all of his failure, some mean employees told Batty things like he was destined to fail and that he'll never be anything more than an annoying little employee helper. Batty considered giving up and just stick with the path he was given, but decided to try one last time, not as a co-star of someone else and they're genre, but instead his own star and the genre he enjoys most....

Pigpatch was a counrty themed pig animatronic. He was the least popular of the group and his main attraction was Pigpatch's log ride. One night, he, the other animatronics, and the Pizza Plex higher ups gather around to judge Batty's last attempt at stardom. Instead of any of the generes of the preexisting characters, Batty starts playing some heavy rock, and he was really good at it. Everyone was amazed by Batty's performance, there was only one problem, they couldn't afford to add a new band member nor a new attraction for them, so if he wanted to be one of the stars, he'd have to either wait for when they could afford it, or if one of the current stars retired. Batty was very sad, he excepted his misfortune and was ready to give up on his pursuit to be a star, but Pigpatch got up and told the higher ups that he was retiring, they asked if he was sure about this and he said "Sure, Batty really wants to be a star, and I'm the least popular member anyway, so I think a lot of people will like him more than they like me." Sunny asks where Pigpatch will go and he says that he'll be going solo and travel the world as his own country music artist. Pigpatch would leave. Batty would change his name to Bloodmoon, have his chip placed into the animatronic body he has now, replace Pigpatch and his branding, and become way more popular.

Helpy: He's just Bloodmoon's replacement as the robot employee helper.

of course anon! just a heads up that while i may personally headcanon animatronics with certain sexualities, doesn't mean that i have any sort of issue with others headcanoning otherwise! they're fictional characters with no set identities, of course, and i encourage other interpretations! i'm also specifically using the terms masculine and feminine in terms of preference / identity so as to not be exclusive to people who fit in binary identities - as a nonbinary/genderqueer (as well as bi ace) person, i understand that language surrounding attraction and gender can be fucky sometimes but please know that not feeling as though you fit into my descriptions here does not mean you cannot read or enjoy my content - i always try to stick to gender neutral readers unless specified otherwise, so that everyone feels included or represented! that said, here goes!

glamrock freddy in my interpretation is bi, with little to no preference of the gender of his partner! he uses he/him, but that's as far as he's considered gender identity. he's naturally attracted to people who are kind or who seem to genuinely care, and while his more diplomatic personality can be a good level for more impulsive or hot-headed people, he generally tends to shy away from people who are outright argumentative - our boy does NOT like unnecessary confrontation for the sake of it. (this does not mean he will not stand up for what he believes in, just that he does not like when people want to argue for no reason.)

montgomery gator is imo unlabelled but multi-spectrum, with a preference for masculine partners (although he is by no means only into masculine / male people!) he also uses he/him, and while i haven't thought too hard about his gender i don't really see him as cis, so take that as you will! unlike freddy, he does enjoy confrontational people and he tends to not be as comfortable around people who he thinks are just agreeable to avoid arguments. he wants someone he can be himself around, and he is quite hot-headed.

glamrock chica i see as bi with a preference for feminine partners! she uses she/her, but i can also see her being open to using they/them or other pronouns! she's not picky about the personality of her partners, since she gets along with almost everyone! she does have a soft spot for shyer or more quiet people, though, as she thinks it's cute!

roxanne wolf i personally headcanon as a lesbian because - yeah, i just can't imagine her as anything else, and nobody else i've talked to really can either! she has attraction to girls of any kind, and any nonbinary folk who would include themselves in that pool of attraction! she's possibly the most enigmatic out of the main band with her preferences, but she likes people who don't immediately brush her off as self-centred or self-absorbed - there's so much more to her, and anyone who actually takes the time to get to know her will see her warming up to them a lot quicker than she would admit.

sun and moon, in my personal headcanon, both use they/them and he/him pronouns individually - there is not a cisgender bone in their body! neither of them really have a label on their attraction (or have really thought about it too hard), but they do have slightly different preferences for a partner! sun is, lovingly, a lot to take in sometimes, so his ideal partner is someone who either matches that energy or mellows it out - in general, people who are very negative to others repel their sunny attitude, but that doesn't mean they don't understand someone can have a bad day! for moon, he's a bit of a Menace and hasn't quite gotten past the "he likes you so he's mean to you" stage. granted, he's never cruel, but he finds themself fixated on people who can either handle his weird ways of expressing love, or who they just find plain cute!

djmm is, well... he's the dj!!! generally going by he/him or it/its pronouns, the dj doesn't really consider himself that aligned to romantic or sexual attraction! on the aro-ace spectrum, probably being under demisexual and demiromantic labels! for that reason, it's hard to pin down what he's interested in in a partner - it tends to vary from person to person!

you didn't ask, but vanny/vanessa? very heavy feminine preferences - she is for the girls first and foremost. for the guys? maybe, she hasn't figured it out yet! uses she/her, but like monty i also don't think she's exactly cis, so interpret that however you want! she's kind of also a menace who likes people she fins entertaining, but unlike moon she actually knows how to process her attraction into flirting!

After the bombshell that the new story with of The Tales of The PizzaPlex with Gregory dropped out of fucking nowhere, I decided to rewrite my AU Security Breach timeline.

(Not sure what year Security Breach takes place but I want to say 2023 after the events of FNaF 6 and in between Help Wanted and after Freddy and Bonbon have Kaley but I could be off)

Reggie Miller, one of Hank’s old friends, wants to make a mall and pizzeria all in one so he asks Freddy himself if he, his dad, Henry and Michael would be interested.

Freddy says it’s too sudden, plus Henry wouldn’t be okay with, but Henry thought otherwise: He thinks that a new generation of humanoids wouldn’t be a bad idea, but Henry agreed with Freddy, saying that he’s trying to put the whole deal of the past behind them.

Michael and Hank agree also but seeing how Reggie knew about their deal with William so he says he will start with a small, but still fun pizzeria for the new generation to enjoy. Freddy, Hank, Henry and Michael eventually agreed, and everyone was satisfied. The first Freddy Fazbear’s Mega PizzaPlex was in the works, and everyone was on board, even the mayor herself.

Freddy hires his Glamrock counterpart, Frederic Frazier (our favorite himbo dad, Glamrock Freddy) after seeing how much Frederic has grown up from that shy, lonely kid to a total outgoing guy (he’s kind of a bit jealous of his new version lol).

Meanwhile, Valerie Anderson, a 17-year-old e-girl, begins to research everything she now knows about a mysterious white rabbit mask wearing lady that goes by the name of “Vanny” and immediately assumes the worst thing possible; her older sister, Vanessa, could be this serial killer.

Freddy hires a Glamrock version of Bonnie, Chica and Foxy named Bonito Cottontail (Glamrock Bonnie), Chicarella Chickamoto (Glamrock Chica) and Finn Fisher (Glamrock Foxy). After hiring them, Reggie tells Freddy that they are making Glamrock versions of his daughter, Poppy and her friends.

Freddy is excited for the project, especially with the fact the Playtime toys deserve the love they didn’t get back then, so he was really glad that Reggie has gave them a chance. The Playtime toys are thrilled, but Poppy on the other hand was not on board with that announcement.

Valerie has nightmares about her sister being Vanny and trying to kill her. Meanwhile, Vanessa herself feels like she’s being watched at work. Luis, her friend and crush) asks her out for a coffee break to help Vanessa take her mind of things that have been troubling her.

Vanny (aka Vanya “Vanessa” Anton) is still being “trained” by her master, Glitchtrap William Afton (note: go watch Nightcove the Fox’s Vanessa: Into Madness movie on YouTube, I highly recommend it, even tho I’m a Vanessa and Vanny are separate people believer).

William orders Vanny to go steal some blank blueprints. Vanny was really hesitant about it, but William forced her to do it cuz if she didn’t, she would “regret it” sooner or later. So later that night, Vanny broke into Henry’s workshop and stole some blank blueprints.

Freddy hires two newcomers named Montgomery Gator and Roxanne Wolf. Music Man offered his stepson to follow in his footsteps but as a DJ to "hip" with the kids.

Meanwhile, Vanny successfully brings William’s Elizabeth back to life, but she looks older (she dresses like a stripper I'm really sorry) than the real Elizabeth by having a heart pendant choker that transforms her to her own sona, Babydoll. The pendant also helps her transform into anything else she pleases to trick her victims.

Freddy hires two brothers, Sunni “Sunnydrop” Stardust and his twin brother, Moon “Moondrop” Stardust as the new daycare attendants for the Superstar Daycare as Sunni loves to work with kids (and because their famous mother, Stella Stardust, was a daycare attendant herself after she moved to Earth in 1989 before creating the twins).

Meanwhile, a young boy named Gregory feels neglected and hated by the orphanage he lives at. As he was finally done dealing with the other kids who pick on him for liking everything that had to do with the Fazbears, and the adults who work there and didn’t believe him when he told them about the other kids picking on him cuz they call him a troublemaker, Gregory packed up what was left of his belongings, snacks and stuff to defend himself and left the orphanage.

Freddy finally gets to rest with his wife, Bonbon and their kids, Poppy, Issac, Felicity and Kaley by going to Pizza Planet (The Return of the King). Unfortunately, Fazbear Entertainment resurfaces themselves again after the failure of their AR game. Now Hamilton Andrews is back and this time, he plans to take over the PizzaPlex (basically pissing everyone off even more).

The Glamrock versions of the Playtime toys were finally created by as animatronics cuz they cannot recreate the actual toys (cuz of reasons). The PizzaPlex begins to start construction, but unfortunately, the construction team decided to build the PizzaPlex on top of the Freddy Fazbear’s Rocking Pizza Place that Henry burnt down to kill William.

Meanwhile, Clara returns with her old Ballora body and is found by Elizabeth and William during Vanny's first kill mission.

Vanessa goes to therapy to talk about her past about her mother and why she left her and her sister to deal with their father, Bill. The therapist asks her about all the things Vanny was doing, causing Vanessa to be uncomfortable but confused. Meanwhile, Gregory starts his journey off to a good start. Elizabeth kills Vanessa’s first therapist.

The PizzaPlex is almost finished, causing William to hear the news about it so he makes Vanny make a new costume for her cuz he told her that her mask was old and that she needed a new look to hide her identity. Meanwhile, Vanessa meets her new therapist and seems pretty weirded out by her. Clearly Vanessa thinks something is wrong.

Right before the PizzaPlex opens up, Vanny, now with her new fursuit and mask, begins to camp out inside one of the rooms in Fazer Blast. A little does she or anyone else know, Gregory was also hiding in the PizzaPlex as well.

The PizzaPlex opens up their doors and everyone is excited. Everyone loved the games, food and friendly staff (except that Dave guy lol), but mostly the mascots. Reggie felt like a proud papa, but suddenly, just after a few days, things already get to go down south from there.

The AR Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy animatronics gets stolen, more and more of Vanessa’s therapists go missing and got killed, Freddy gets stabbed by a random woman (Elizabeth pretending to be a homeless woman), Fazbear Entertainment fires Reggie and Hamilton took charge, resulting the PizzaPlex.

Vanny builds William four new and improved (just evil and fucked up) versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy to fulfill William’s vision of Freddy since day one. However, while still being the Freddy William wanted, Dark Freddy falls in love with Elizabeth, due to William’s disbelief (lol get dunked on, you old fart, your daughter is now Dark Freddy’s girlfriend).

Months later, Freddy and his family go to Freddy Fazbear’s Mega PizzaPlex and notices something wrong right away.

What really pissed off Freddy was the fact Fazbear Entertainment got rid of the Playtime Glamrocks and replaced them with their new star, Glamrock Woody, who was originally Scrap Woody that Henry made to stop William, who Woody nicknamed him “Scraps”, but unfortunately Scraps was burned after he tried to kill Poppy before Cassidy sacrificed herself to save Poppy. How Fazbear Entertainment got their hands on the corpse of Scraps and reprogrammed him to be Glamrock Woody was a mystery.

Later that afternoon in Gator Golf, Bonito tells Monty that he’s done with being in Bonnie’s place and wants Monty to take the role after Foxas left after he thinks he was getting replaced by Roxanne. Monty tried to disagree with Bonito but the catwalk under Bonito fell underneath him and he was killed on site. Monty blames himself for Bonito's death. It turns out Vanny, controlled by Afton, killed Bonito as she ordered the STAFF Bots to take his body.

Soon the PizzaPlex started to fall apart. The parents were tired of Fazbear Entertainment ruining everything, the kids were forced to like Glamrock Woody cuz if they didn’t, they would have Security Bots be called on them and some of the areas were either broken or are planned to be replaced by a Woody themed area. All Fazbear Entertainment Wanted was Woody to be the star, not the Humanoid Glamrocks.

Glamrock Woody, outside from his “programing” feels really horrible of treating his new friends poorly but he knew he seen that coming. The Mega PizzaPlex was never the same after that again. Later that night, Freddy gets awakened by Vanny as she stabs him in the gut and kidnaps Poppy.

Freddy wakes up and sets off to find her while Michael got all of the stuff to stop his dad once and for all. Freddy, along with Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Goldie, Bonbon and their other kids, the toys and the Afton kids, enter the PizzaPlex disguised as a janitor (Freddy), a mechanic (Goldie) and security guards (Michael, Elizabeth and Evan) so nobody can see them.

Vanessa, who was hired by Fazbear Entertainment for no reason, gets alerted that a child with no record is inside the PizzaPlex. She immediately thought of those missing kids that went missing over the past few months after the PizzaPlex opened up, so she sets off to find the kid, knowing that he cannot be the last.

The Glamrocks begin their concert with a bang, but Frederic collapsed on stage and had to be checked out. The mall closed after everyone left and Vanny begins to have some “fun”.

Frederic wakes up after collapsing and meets Gregory. Frederic wants to help the kid out, so he asks Gregory to let him out. Gregory, now seeing that he’s trustworthy, frees Frederic from his greenroom.

After Frederic takes him to a first-aid station, Vanessa finds the both of them, but she just wants to help Gregory get him (basically, Vanessa here is like the one we hear from the trailers). Vanessa calls her friend, Glamrock Goldie, who is actually Cassidy, who’s now free from her old shell after she died, to help Vanessa get Gregory out of the PizzaPlex before closing time.

Unfortunately, the PizzaPlex closes its doors and Gregory is trapped. Fortunately, Vanessa can still help him escape the PizzaPlex.

(So basically, my Security Breach is basically from what we saw from the trailers with some parts from the final game (like the Daycare part or the chase scene with Monty, Roxanne and Chica) but with a lot of my own story. The ending is obviously the Burntrap ending but it ends on a cliffhanger for the DLC.)

So, I'm looking at this overhead shot of the Daycare layout while I wait for word on this game being ported to a system I own, and it's becoming very obvious that Sun and Moon have been isolated for quite a while

In addition to all those big thick cables running around the place that are attached to generators, they're also linked up to floodlights that are constantly directing bright beams of light across the vicinity

A layout like this seems to be a lawsuit waiting to happen for an area meant to contain small children, so the only logical explanation is that the Daycare has been this way for a while, and Sun/Moon have been isolated for longer than we've been aware of.

Since the other animatronics aren't allowed into the Daycare (based off of what Freddy said), and the idea that the area seems to be modified to be constantly flooding light, I'd have to guess that Sunny and Moon were probably the first ones infected with the Afton Virus and were quarantined from the others to curb the spread, but it didn't help because it was already spread through the network or something.

No wonder Sundrop was so ecstatic to see Gregory the first time; he's been by himself for so long that he hasn't seen a child in ages (and he was built and programmed to babysit children all day), and was probably going nuts walking around the empty Daycare with nothing to do.

What a drastic difference from what Sun (and even Moon) displays when you so much as tip over a tower of canisters, since they'll start going into a panic and wail about it being a mess and having to pick up and stack them back up. They'll stop everything to do this, like it bothers them to leave it as anything less.

The staff has clearly neglected them. Especially with all the obvious grimy handprints and poor condition of thier casing. Sun and Moon probably don't even really know what's been happening and why they've been left alone for so long, and they're probably trying to keep everything neat and orderly in the main area in hopes that everything can go back to normal or something...

Clearly, the Daycare Attendant was patient zero for the Afton Virus, likely Moon in particular since he apparently does nighttime patrols of the Pizzaplex, and it's implied in those recordings of Vanessa's therapy sessions that someone has been fiddling with the systems at night after hours, and those scrapped emails from FNAF AR seems to lean towards the possibility of a virus being leaked into there.

I wonder if it has to do with that arcade machine seen in thier room, since that game seems to have a digital depiction of them being corrupted by the end of the minigame. 👀

I swear, when I get this game, I am going through this whole level with a fine tooth comb to see as much detail as I can find. I can't really explain this other than I haven't been this intrigued by a minor character in a video game since Mephiles from Sonic 06.

I wonder if Freddy would have gotten a long with both Sun and Moon. I love to think that they could be friends, seeing how all three of them are so sweet in their own way. Aside from Moon's glitching problem, I like to believe that he was just as sweet and just as energetic with playing with the kiddies brought to the daycare. He's just a lot quieter.

Which begs the question, would your version of Freddy get along with either of them? If at all?

I bet he would! But as I believe Freddy is a fellow rule follower as well and takes his job as the franchise mascot very seriously, possibly implying he is often busy. And if remember correctly.... (correct me if I'm wrong) there was some implications that the glamrocks are not allowed in the daycare, and that the Daycare Attendant is only allowed to leave the Daycare when the lights are turned off at the end of the hour, when all the glamrocks NEED to go to the charging stations.

So basically the rules make it impossible for them to meet up unless they happen to talk through the door or see each other during maintance?

But if they were allowed to meet up I bet Freddy would've been friends with Sun and Moon. I could easily see Freddy as a father/older brother figure to anxious yet energetic Sun and whatever Moon's personality was before the virus.

The Dolldrops have implied their relationship with the glmarocks in their ask blog couple of times; while they didn't meet the glamrocks that often, Sunny wants to believe they were good and his friends. Dolldrop Moon has a very sour taste in his mouth, though.

What comes to my new Animutant AU: the Glamrocks are making their appearance and will become somewhat important side characters to the story, and we get too see their relationship with Sunrise and Moondrop a bit better. :> Freddy will take that friendly, almost fatherly role towards Sunrise, I can tell.

- With the stylizing of the Pizzaplex don't doubt for a second that they'd use popular references according to the current theme, the second Freddy starts to malfunction their mechanic has set it so that he emits a pretty loud windows XP error noise.

- totally a running gag between the mechanics cannot tell me otherwise.

- with the extra alone time during the nightshift if nothing going on Freddy is often found picking up and doing their best to 'fix' little things here and there

- not very good but it's the little things that count!

- is the internal ticking clock for each person around despite the others already knowing what to do

- Just the dad instinct to make sure everyone's prepared for anything really,

- Truly it carries over to whenever they are around people such as you, if your schedule was shit you better buckle up because he won't let this go

- every single moment they're ticking off a checklist of care that he has a basic understanding of for you

- would totally stop if you ask, but let the guy do his job he's trying his best here :(

- can and will to sneak you into his friend's attractions if you don't have the required permissions

- need a moment to kick some snot-nosed brat's ass on Roxy Raceway?

- Each time you kept coming back he just regretfully continued to play up his stage persona pushing you away.

- Doesn't do much physical affection if at all, but it's not that he hates it. It's more of the fact they've never had the gentle hand of an adult before

- in other terms of what they'd use as affection it's more to be assumed that they'd have the instincts of a crow and bring you random trinkets and bugs that makes them think of you

- Absolute bastard, I would not recommend you to in any form romanticize this man but between you and whatever higher power is out there. We all absolutely fell for this freakazoid

“...This isn’t a good idea..”

“I. don’t. care.” Moon seethes, though it’s barely audible over the whirring in his chest. Hey, he doesn’t want to be here either, but he would much rather get it over with and patched up them wait for maintenance to come in the morning. They would only cause more trouble right now. 

He doesn’t want to be rude. They had put Gregory away to catch his breath a bit while they talked, sure that the topic would eventually fall into some sort of confrontation, but nevertheless. Just because the kid wasn’t there didn’t mean he was going to be rude to the guy, even if he is getting on his nerves. 

“It’s for the kids sake, anyways. What about when you need to charge? He’ll need some ability to hide.” the jester hopes that appealing to the clear fatherly bond between the two will finally convince the bear to drop the subject. It wasn’t even a lie! He did want the panel back so that he could help the kid. Using the wire is the only thing he can really offer to the table here, and he can’t help but be concerned for his safety. It just wasn’t the full truth, but he doesn’t need to know that. 

Freddy looks at him and sighs. God, he hates that look, so damn much. He knows that look; He’s done it so many times before. It was the same look he gave Sunny when he knew he was lying; Seeing it now just makes him feel sick. Freddy places a large hand on his shoulder, and Moon surpresses a wince, “I know you want to help, but.. Gregory is a smart kid. I may not like it, but he has found his.. own ways.. to stay safe. It would not be possible to fix you right now, anyways. The power outages would cause you to remain turned on for at least part of the procedure, if I even knew how to do it in the first place. And.. you’re clearly in a lot of pain. You should stay here, and rest. The technicians will be here in a few hours, and they will be able to fix you up properly.”

He doesn’t know if it’s the pain, or how stressed he’s been lately, but Moon can’t help but finally snap at that, “Are you stupid, Freddy?? For the last time, I DON’T WANT THE TECHNICIANS INVOLVED! If they find me like this, I’m dead! Do you know how many rules I’ve broken just coming out here to help you guys, AND got damaged on top of that?! No leaving the daycare outside of authorized times, No diverging from given route, No turning the lights on, No fighting the other animatronics!! I was supposed to keep him there, or call Vanessa, or the POLICE!” It all just comes spilling out before he can stop it, gesturing surprisingly animatedly as he talks considering his injuries. Hearing it out loud, he really did break every single rule he was meant to follow, didn’t he? “They’ll be furious, I broke every single rule and destroyed the only unique feature I was given doing it! I know you don’t have to think about it, FREDDY FAZBEAR, but when you cost more then you’re worth you get trashed! And if I get scrapped then they’ll end up using Sun for everything, and Sun is batshit insane right now and without me there he’ll just end up hurting someone and get himself scrapped too! So please for the love of god JUST FIX MY HARNESS!!” His voice shutters, cracking at the height of the pitch. He was never meant to raise his voice that loud, static clinging to the end. 

He shouldn’t of snapped at Freddy like that.. He did have a point, but he couldn’t... He just didn’t want to become useless. He didn’t want to get chewed out my the staff again for being stupid and unruly and fucking everything up again. He was supposed to be better then that, or at the very least responsible enough to follow his own rules. 

Moon could feel the bears gaze on him, but he didn’t dare look at him, opting to pulls his hat down over his eyes. It felt like such a childish action, not that he was much better then one at this point- throwing a tantrum and all. Waves a pain flared in his back and yelped, almost falling over. He barely managed to slide to sit on the floor before collapsing; Maybe he shouldn’t of moved that much.. it only further irritated the exposed parts in his back, sore and already filling him with nauseating amounts of pain. Another thing he has to deal with. Just great. 

He feels a warm hand land on his head, and he can hear the larger bot crouch to be eye level with the daycare attendant. He pushes the brim of his hat up to peer at the bear, whose glowing eyes hold a mixture of conflicting emotions. It’s.. comforting, in a strange way. He can see why Gregory trusts him so much.”...In that case.. we’ll figure something out. Roxanne is much better at these things then I am. Once she is in safe mode, I will bring her back here and have her look at you. You shouldn’t leave until then, though.” A huge wave of relief washes through the jester at that comment. He can do that. He doesn’t know Roxanne that well, but if there’s any chance she could help then he’s willing to wait. 

Freddy smiles, seeing the tension fade from his shoulders albeit slightly, “..Now, in the meantime I suggest you should rest for a bit. I know you have plenty battery, but..” he trails off at the end, gesturing vaguely at the attendants situation, “you do need it.” 

Moon heats up slightly, embarrassed. Admittedly, he is right. And, he hasn’t gotten many opportunities to rest lately. He hesitates, but nods, toying with the bell on his hat. He won’t be able to help much if he doesn’t give himself some rest... Freddy stands up from the floor, nodding firmly, “We’ll be back soon. The cylinder will remain locked so that no one can get inside while we’re gone.”

When there is no reply Freddy notices that the smaller jester is already almost asleep. He must of been more tired then he expected. He chuckles at that before stepping out of the tube, closing it with a small swish.

We lowkey talked about this before but I feel this deserves its own moment. So, Prototype Freddy, the headless guy, right?

What if Cassie and the others get him all fixed into a whole Freddy again (I like the idea that his repaired self mirrors Glamrock Freddy's like earring on the other ear and chest bolt facing the other way,) so he becomes their friends too.

And most of them at least, especially Roxy I think, not only welcome him with open arms but straight up treat him as 'their' Freddy AKA totally replacing Glamrock Freddy-- which only further isolates and excludes him when "choosing Gregory over them" already did that too.

I feel like that'd sting for Glamrock Freddy especially with Chica if they being longtime friends or family for being older mascots is a thing.

Also sting in a different way if Roxy and Prototype Freddy actually end up with a far better affinity than she and Glamrock Freddy ever did.

And to rub more salt, eventually Cassie finds Bonnie as well and they try to fix him as much as possible until it's st least enough for him to come online. Then when it's time to catch up with old friends or meet new ones, they have Prototype Freddy there instead of Glamrock Freddy.

I don't think Cassie would do any of this to purposely target Glamrock Freddy but I kinda feel like Roxy would be bitter enough to. After all he "chose that brat he calls a son Gregory and CONTINUES choosing him over them all despite everything he's done to them, so if that's the bed he chose to make then he's going to have to lie in it."

Oooooo this is fun

Imma start by thinking that if Roxy never liked Freddy before, then she probably wouldn't welcome a repaired Freddy into the group very quickly. That whole dynamic would be pretty interesting though, like Roxy could be getting between him and the others every chance she gets to try and make sure he doesn't hurt them again... It might be appreciated at first, I mean this guy looks almost exactly like him and talks with the same mannerisms as him, it's gotta be a bit difficult seeing him around again. Presuming everyone's fixed up, then yeah I can see Roxy going the over protective route until she's outright told to stop. Roxy's a security node/guard dog with nothing to guard anymore, and several very hurt friends to watch out for, she just fell naturally into this without even noticing :(

But that just makes the turnaround more fun, right? Despite everything, Prototype Freddy is a good guy! He could listen to her, try helping her out with whatever it is she's up to, find it funny when she starts a golf club sword fight with Monty, be nothing but protective of all of them, be so damn respectful of her boundaries she starts to feel bad for yelling at him about it... and gradually, she stops watching him like a hawk, waiting for an excuse to kick his shit in. At some point, these two are hanging out and getting along perfectly well it's crazy to her how similar he is to the old Freddy but so different in every way that matters. They're friends now! She wishes this Freddy was the Freddy they'd had from the very beginning! Things would have been so different with this guy and it pisses her off sometimes!

And oh god yeah it'd sting so fucking bad for the others, especially Chica and Monty that the old Freddy chose Gregory over them. He basically sacrificed them and for what? It's such a betrayal, and since they and Sunny and Moon were all friends with him, I can see at least a few of them forgetting this isn't the same Freddy every now and then. He says something they don't expect and they flinch as the truth hits them all over again... that's gotta hurt. Were they not worth anything to him? How could they do this to them?

That's fun...

But yeeessss bringing Bonnie back in a situation like this (though without the prototype Freddy) is something that I have happen in my Meteors AU and it's gold. How do you handle waking up after maybe a year has passed to discover your almost boyfriend set a rabid child on all your friends and family, then ditched them when they needed him the most? How is he supposed to take that? Denial? A desperate spiral into camera footage and questioning, searching for answers? For any kind of evidence that they all might be mistaken? That this was all just one big misunderstanding? His Freddy wouldn't do that... He wouldn't! He's sure of it!

And this Prototype isn't Freddy! Why is he here?! Did everyone just replace him?! This is some Fazbear Entertainment levels of bullshit!! His Freddy was worth more than that!! How could they do exactly what Fazbear would have done and just swap him out for a new one?! What's wrong with them?!

The pain is so good for this oh my god I love it

I like to think that once the reality of what Freddy did sinks in, Bonnie grows to hate him. It hurts to hate him, but he's so fucking betrayed by what he's done, how can he not hate him? He can't still love him! He can't! (He does) It's not fair!

And Freddy would be devastated by all of this holy shit. Seeing everyone with the Prototype, happier with the Prototype, and feeling like everyone moved on and replaced him. Even Bonnie. Heartbreaking.

And yeah you're so right. Cassie wouldn't have done any of this to target Freddy, but Roxy would have for sure. Maybe the idea that this would upset Freddy if he ever sees it is what convinces her to give Prototype Freddy a chance? A kind of "I'm going to pretend to be your friend on the off chance Freddy sees and feels like shit for it" turning into her genuinely valuing his company kind of thing. Maybe he kinda figured that's what her plan was originally and decided to just go along with it and let her do her thing, being genuinely surprised himself to end up friends with her? Lotta ways you can play that!

I love this Prototype Freddy is neat!!

Been thinking about my 5 Nights in Security Breach (+ maybe the Copycat AU) mash up and how the nights should go. And this is what I was thinking.

Night 1- Relatively peaceful. Only real enemies are Vanessa and Moon. The rest of the animatronics genuinely want to help Gregory. Also the nosy kids gets banned from the daycare.

Night 2- Basically the events of the in game night we play if not a bit easier. Gregory returned cause it wasn't so bad the night before. Hides with Freddy like in-game. Main goal is to survive the night. Gregory can totally make up to Sunny and get unbanned from the daycare. Doing Sunny a favor or to can turn them into an ally. Sunny can only help you remotely as they're not allowed to leave the daycare. After escaping the Pizzaplex with Freddy's help (and Sunny's if you make up with them), Gregory doesn't plan on returning. Someone grabs him from behind and the next he knows, he's out cold.

Night 3- Gregory wakes up in the Pizzaplex. The whole building is on lockdown now. The animatronics are much more agressive than before. He can call Freddy and/or Sun for help escaping the back rooms and neither of them are happy to hear what happened. Gregory learns that the Plex has been temporarily shut down due to a hack and the entire building is on lockdown. The option to alter Sun's permissions so they can walk the Pizzaplex freely becomes available. Both Sun and Freddy would have their own pros and cons with Sun's biggest con being that he's also literally your enemy. The ones behind the scenes make their first appearances.

Night 4- The Glamrocks minus Freddy are max aggression now. Roxy even hunts you like a legit wolf. Time to decide whether or not you dismantle them to upgrade Freddy or try to fix them. We see the big bad(s?) more and access tapes/documents about the original Pizzeria.

Night 5- Definitely the hardest night. (If this were a game I'd prefer to make it possible to get Moon on Gregory's side but it takes 4 nights of work to do.) We learn about the Afton family's tragic story and discover the one behind the scenes. In order to fully upgrade Freddy, Gregory has to choose to betray Sun and steal parts from their Moon side (but only if Moon doesn't tolerate him by then). And then the final struggle begins.

And that's what I got so far. Still working out details on some of the nights though. Feel free to ask about it. It might actually help me out with the details.

Crossover AU Idea: Spinel Breach (June 11, 2022)

anyway just had this idea pop into my head, after seeing some Spinel fan art...

that in a Crossover between FNAF Security Breach and Steven Universe series, Spinel decides to go visit Steven after the whole him self corrupting himself thing happen when Spinel, White, Yellow and Blue went to see him.

when she hears that Steven left Beach City, Spinel decides to go and look for him, because she did come all that way just to visit him.

at some point she ends up in the same place that Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex is, and she ends up being poofed when she receives damage to her physical body.

before Gregory hops into Freddy’s Chest/Stomach to hide, he ends up finding the heart shape gem that is bigger than his own hands, and decides to take it with him when he hides inside of Glamorck Freddy.

then when Gregory does go out of Freddy, the two watch as the heart gem that Gregory was holding starts to glow and then start to float in the air and reforms into Spinel, still looking like how she first appears in the Steven Universe Movie.

after Gregory and Freddy’s freakout and screaming, which would then cause Spinel to scream in return.

everyone calms down long enough, for Gregory or Freddy to ask who she is and even what she is and what she is doing here.

Spinel could explain a short version, that she is a Polymorphic Sentient Gem who’s “Soul” is housed inside her gem, which happens to be a Heart Shaped Spinel, and it is also her name.

and that some Gems use to be “Bad Guys” but they are reformed now, well most of them are....Eyeball-Ruby and Aquamarine could still be a working progress.

she could keep some secrets about herself from Gregory and Freddy, like how she was abandoned by Pink Diamond, and end up with 6,000 years of trauma because of her.

in this Crossover AU, when Freddy can’t go in certain places, Spinel goes with and stays with Gregory, acting as his Other Guardian and Protector.

and protecting him from the other Glamrock Animatronics, who are acting strange and might be under the influence of Glitchtrap.

over time, Spinel starts to grow attached to Gregory, and becomes very protective of him, even she starts to notice when Freddy acts funny when he starts to run low on power.

and when that happens, she makes sure to tell Gregory to open up the hatch right away before it becomes too late, so she can get him somewhere safe, and then tell Freddy to go find a recharge station FAST and not get distracted.

 there could be moments when Spinel gets separated from Gregory,

and when she does meet up with him again, she sees Moondrop chasing after him in the Daycare.

it be interesting if she ends up saying “You Want To Play, Moon-Boy...?”

then reaching into her gem to pull out her gem weapon, which looks like a Toy Hammer....which is like maybe bigger than Amy Rose’s Hammer.

she could then say “Then Let’s Player!” before throwing the hammer down right between Gregory (who is going to recharge his flashlight and almost gets caught by Moony.) and Moondrop, and preventing The Daycare Attendant from grabbing Gregory.

when Spinel does end up getting to the Daycare, she has to guard and defend Gregory, so he can turn on all the generators so the lights in the daycare can come back on.

I still don’t believe Gregory is the one who turned off the lights in the first place, and taking the security badge wouldn’t of done it.

it might turn out to be Vanny who’s doing it.

and when the lights are all back on, and Sundrop is about ready to grab Gregory and pick him up and tell him he is banned from the daycare.

Spinel grabs Gregory instead and has her arms around him and stretches them up far enough so Sunny can’t get to him.

and then she uses her free arm and hand (while the other one is keeping Gregory safe.) and slaps The Daycare Attendant’s hand.

then lectures him that before he goes pointing fingers at Gregory,

he should know that it isn’t possible for him to have turn off all the lights in the daycare, when all he did was just take the security badge and when he does turn on the lights back on, he is still blamed for something that had nothing to do with him.

which her pointing this out, could give her a sad look and remembering what Steven had said before, and knowing that most of his life he was technically his Mom’s scapegoat even if she might of not plan on it, and if she did, then it was just another reason for Spinel to see that Pink wasn’t the best of persons or gems in the universe, if she was willingly gonna put Steven in danger like that so she could escape.

 then Spinel could say “your suppose to be a friend, and protect children....if you keep banning them for even the smallest of things, even if they are blamed for something that they didn’t even do, then your no better than the rule breakers.”

Spinel then uses her free hand to open the door and leaves with Gregory.

but just as she places him down, she sees Glamrock Chica and has to stretch her legs high up and holding Gregory in her arms.

sadly unlike in the game, Freddy isn’t nearby or in that place.

both Gregory and Spinel could wonder where Freddy is and what the heck he is doing...?

and soon as Moondrop is allowed to go on his patrols, Spinel hurries out of the entrance and goes inside the recharge station with Gregory, all the whole still holding him protectively.

and unlike Freddy in the game, Spinel is able to see Vanny when Gregory points her out while they are both inside the recharge station.

I like the idea of this Crossover AU, and maybe at some point during the adventure when Spinel’s body gets damaged and she goes poof and having to go back inside her gem.

she reforms into a whole new look from her last two forms.

I think I will draw what it might look like in that Crossover AU.

 but yeah “Spinel Breach” would be a Crossover AU where Spinel ends up going to look for Steven, but ends up trapped in the Mega Pizzaplex, and has to protect Gregory from Vanny, Roxy, Chica, Monty and sometimes Freddy.

Spinel could end up being Gregory’s Adoptive Family at some point while they are trying to keep safe from the Glamrocks and Vanny.

and trying to keep safe from Vanessa, too.

I think I will work on that drawing idea that has to do with Spinel in her third form that she takes in Spinel Breach Au.

Dark Horse: chapter 7

Y’all I’m sorry for uploading all the chapter but I’ve gotten a surge of inspo. Hope you enjoy this!! Warning: a bit of angst

The weather had become worse and worse, after the sunny morning Birmingham had experienced. There was wind, there was rain, there was even thunder and lightning. For those who were in bed, comfortable and warm, it was of absolutely no consequence; but for those without four strong walls around them, it had to be scary, cold, and an altogether unfortunate state of affairs. Ada belonged to the first group: tucked in under a heavy blanket and a comforter, she couldn't possibly feel more priviledged. Her body was peaceful, but her mind... was a different story. A very, very different story. And her worry, because it was worry, had a name, a face, a reason: Georgia Gold. Not because she was a death penalty brooding over the Shelbies, but because she had nothing but wood separating her from the elements. Was she cold? Was she coughing, shivering? Did she have blankets, or was she forced to rely on thin sheets?

Sure enough, Polly had been right when she said that something had been left behind. Ada should've known better than to ignore her aunt's words, given that they were always quite on the nose. No one knew how she did that, and no one wanted to know: what mattered was never to ignore those gifts, and the information they surrendered. So Ada, a modern and intelligent woman, would admit to the truth, but only in the solitude of her own bed. Yes, Gigi was a beautiful creature, a beautiful person, and a beautiful woman. More than that, she was a woman who understood how Ada felt in relation to Tommy, and had put it into words when no one in his family had been able to. 

Maybe it wasn't the fact that Gigi was a woman. Granted, Ada had never thought of herself as the kind of woman who was attracted to other women, but it didn't come as a big shock, nor was it a despleasing realization. What was less appealing was the fact that the object of her attraction was the same person who had dumped, for lack of a better word, six corpses, give or take, in front of herself and her family. But Tommy had said something that hadn't been lost on Ada: Gigi only kills bad people. It made a difference, and a very big one at that, too. It wasn't violence for the sake of violence, it was righting wrongs. Whether Tommy was one of those wrongs, remained to be seen. 

Even when one took this into account, and admitting that Ada did have some feelings for Gigi, it didn't mean they went beyond physical attraction, maybe a dash of lust even. She didn't need to fall in love, she didn't need to feel for her what she felt for Freddie. Moreover, in less than three weeks, Gigi would be gone, taking with her any chance of that ever happening. Nothing was necessary, no course of action needed to be defined, nothing had to be addressed. 

But what if she was shivering, what if she was uncomfortable, what if she was crying, or in pain? What if the wood wasn't enough to keep the water from inflitrating the vardo, what if the drops of rain and the moist didn't let her sleep? And what if Ada could drive to her camp, whisk her away to her own home, and make sure she would never be cold again?

"You look well" Polly exclaimed, seeing her stepdaughter riding her stallion up her driveway. It was a big victory to get Gigi to accept a lunch invitation, but she eventually had, and it was lovely to see her, dismounting and fixing her dress before hugging her doting stepmother. 

"So do you! Thank you for having me" Gigi responded, hugging Polly tightly and entering the home after her. 

Polly herself had prepared lunch, which was delicious, and way too much for two slim women. With a bottle of wine and some laughs, time went by quickly, and Polly felt as if she could ask the question that hadn't left her mind ever since the faithful day she'd seen Ada and Gigi together. There was no way to be subtle about it, and Georgia was smart enough to see through those kinds of attempts. 

"You remember my Ada, don't you?" Polly simply said, elbows on the table, and fists supporting her chin. Clear as day, she could see something in Gigi's face, a fleeting, yet obvious smile, accompanied by a dilation of the pupils. Of course she remembered Ada; she probably had Ada on her mind even more than Polly did, or anyone else for that fact.

"Your niece, of course. The one who went to pick you up when we first met" Gigi responded, as casually as she possibly could, despite the shiver going up and down her spine. 

"I want to confirm something, and I hope you don't mind me asking" 

"Not at all, ask away" the young woman encouraged, even though she was terrified of what was coming. She hadn't known Polly for long, but she did know one thing: she could see things no one else could, and could even see more than the individual the information pertained to. Doubtlessly, there was something coming, something that would make all the difference in the world once confirmed. 

"You fancy her, don't you?" 

"What made you think I do?" Gigi asked, hiding her mouth behind a cloth napkin, under the guise of wiping her mouth after finishing her coffee. "Something I did, something I said?"

"The way you looked at her when she came to pick me up that one time. I could see something, I just don't know what it was" Polly admitted, inhaling and exhaling as quietly as she could, not wanting to miss a single word, a single expression or sigh. 

"Well, I can't say you're wrong, because you are not" Gigi responded, trying to force the corners of her mouth to stay still. "I don't know whether I fancy her, or if I just find her to be absolutely and breathtakingly gorgeous"

"Which she is, no two ways about it" 

"Could not agree more. I don't know if you know this, but she was the one to parlay with me when I arrived. I was ready to start shooting everyone in that house, and keep their heads as trophies... but she sat down with me, we worked out a deal, and I could reason with her, and her with me, better than anyone in the past. She understands me, and I understand her. Is that fancying someone?" Georgia asked, asking Polly the same question she'd asked herself time and time again. Maybe someone older, someone more experienced could provide an answer, because Gigi herself had arrived to absolutely no conclusion, and it was maddening. 

"I think it is, love" Polly confirmed, a widening smile lighting up her tired features. "I think it is. I could see it too, I could see it in the way you looked at her, and could see it in her eyes too. I would say she hasn't come to that conclusion yet, but she will"

"Even if she does feel this way, it would hardly be a good idea to act on such a thing. Once this is dealt with, I'll be going back to Swansea, where I belong, where my home is, and she will stay here, doing business, having her child, probably marrying" Gigi countered, shrugging, wishing she could dismiss it that easily. "It's going to hurt to say goodbye, she's the first person I've ever fancied. But it's how things are, and it's like you said: no two ways about it" 

"Is it that set in stone?" 

"On my part? It is. And if you decide to come with us, you'll be more than welcome. Ada wouldn't do it, she has a boy, and another little one on the way. She's got ties to this place, she's got others to think about" 

"Will you tell her how you feel?" Polly enquired, scared to know the answer, despite already knowing what it would be. "Before you go, I mean" 

"Should I?" Gigi replied, gathering her hair and pulling it over her shoulder. "No, I don't think I will, Polly. Some stones are better left unturned"

"And if you some day get a letter from me telling you she's gotten married?" 

"It's like I said: it will hurt, but it is what it is. It's 1930, and I cannot expect to marry another woman, or to offer her the good life she's accostumed to. As you very well know, love doesn't put food on your table, or a roof over your head" Gigi chuckled, sucking her teeth, and refusing to cry, even though she wanted to. "I can love her to the moon and back, a million times over, but I can never expect to be with her"

Jonas’ Tarot Cards

Jonas does tarot readings like his dad. Freddie got a hold of a mostly complete deck for him since she had already swiped one for herself. When he's just doing a generic reading there are specific cards of the major arcana that always represent members of the Lost Revenge or his family or a few others. Whether the card is reversed or not will get him to look deeper to see if there might be room for concern.

Uma - The Emperor - Emperor represents masculine energy, the ruler, the head of the household, head of a company, organisation and communities. The Emperor is an authority figure that creates a solid foundation to build and create on. Reverse - Emperor reversed denotes someone with a childish streak, who is also inconsistent and unpredictable. If this card represents the querent then something is blocking the energy that gives the person authority.

Harry - The Chariot - Chariot represents your willpower and determination. It represents victory. The Chariot gives you the green light to charge ahead and take control in your life or an area of your life that needs your attention. Reverse - Chariot reversed indicates defeat and cowardice. OSCAR 2019 PREDICTIONS PART 2: THE TECHNICAL AWARDS

Who Will Win?

It can be no one else but Alfonso Cuaron and his magnum opus. With assistance from cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, Cuaron has grown to become a master of the long take in films like Children of Men and Gravity. For Roma, Cuaron makes his debut as Director of Photography.

Cuaron’s camera keeps a distant eye as it observes the everyday lives of housekeeper Cleo (Talitza Aparicio) and the middle-class family she cares for. And yet the camera wants to stay close to them as it follows them through their lives. Somehow, Cuaron finds a way to balance these traits while keeping the audience engaged.

The strength of black and white cinematography is how it can manipulate light to create abstract imagery. Cuaron uses light to showcase Mexico’s beauty in all its forms. Whether it’s the warm sunny skies or the neon lights of the city, this Mexican city always feels warm and inviting. There are even moments when Cuaron uses black and white imagery to further the storytelling. The perfect example is the New Year’s Eve sequence. Like Cleo, we watch what we think are sparks of fireworks behind black trees. Then we realize they’re embers from a forest fire. Cut to the family racing to put out the bright white flames.

There’s pure beauty in every scene.

Who Will Win?

I imagine this will be a battle between Ruth E. Carter and Sandy Powell.

Since School Daze, Carter has been a frequent collaborator with Spike Lee while designing costumes for black filmmakers like John Singleton, Ava Duvarney and even Keenan Ivory Wayans. She also has experience designing for geek culture through Joss Whedon’s Serenity. Now she brings that experience in Black Panther.

Carter seizes on this opportunity to honour her African heritage in all its forms. She not only draws inspiration from multiple African tribes like the Suri, the Tuareg and the Dogon but uses their styles to contrast Wakanda’s tribe (respectively The River Tribe, the Merchant Tribe and the Jorabi Tribe). She provides further contrast through different colours and patterns, from T’challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) black and royal purple to the all-female royal guard’s red.

The film is a cosplayer’s dream come true.

Carter faces strong competition in Powell, who is nominated for two films; The Favourite and Mary Poppins Returns. The question is which one? It’s a hard choice. As I’ve said before, the academy loves period piece, which would make the Favourite…the favourite. But it also loves colourful costumes, which defines Mary Poppins Returns.

It’s hard to choose, because the awards are less predictably than usual. So, I’m going to say its between Black Panther and the Favourite.

Who Will Win?

The award will go to Vice thanks to its bold creativity. Hank Corwin makes a lot of daring choices with his editing style, accompanying Adam McKay’s unorthodox storytelling with a fast-paced approach. When the narrator discusses how Donald Rumsfeld (Steve Carell) handles politics like a butterfly knife, we cut to a closeup of a hand doing butterfly knife tricks before cutting someone’s face. It also leads to some comedic moments. The film plays a fake epilogue when Cheney (Christian Bale) quits politics in the 90s, making it seem like they had a happy ending. But as the credits roll, you hear a phone ring and cut to George W Bush (Sam Rockwell) convincing Cheney to be his Veep. Unfortunately, the editing can come off as uneven as the story structure, even distracting. Despite all this, it remains the front runner

If there’s a dark horse who could beat Vice, it’s Bohemian Rhapsody. This award seems to favour music movies, giving awards to Chicago and Whiplash. Plus, the academy will enjoy the structured cutting to moments of Freddy Mercury’s lives. But I feel scenes are cut too short, never giving the audience time to process the scenes.

The one I think should win is BlackkKlansman. Spike Lee has a unique style to his filmmaking and frequent collaborator Barry Alexander Brown uses that style to create a unique visual experience for moviegoers. One moment where the editing shines is in the opening scene of Dr. Kennebrew Beauregard (Alec Baldwin) shooting a KKK recruitment video. Brown’s editing undercuts his racist rant with quick cuts of him flubbing his lines in between his rant. What results is a combination of a Jack Donaghy’s (also Baldwin) disastrous shooting of a commercial in 30 Rock and Ron Burgundy’s vocal warm ups.

Again, I think this award will go to Vice.

What other film could it be than Vice? When we first scene him in the role of Dick Cheney, you see no sign of Christian Bale through the makeup. You would think you were seeing the real Cheney.

Who Will Win?

This will Be another battle between Black Panther and The Favourite.

For Black Panther, Hannah Beachler and Jay Hart blend futuristic technology with African culture to create the environments of Wakanda. We witness a world that holds on to its traditions while looking ahead. The result is a unique metropolis you’d like to vacation.

In contrast, The Favourite combines realism and extravagance to deglamorize the monarchy. On the surface, you a classy environment of detailed paintings, tapestries and walls full of books. But look past the dark halls and Fiona Crombie and Alice Fenton reminds you that while the Aristocrats betting on duck races, the servants are sleeping on the floors.

It could go either way, but it looks like the odds are in favour of the Favourite.

Who Will Win?

If it were up to me, this award would go to First Man. The effects in this film’s flight scenes leave all Superhero movies in the dust with their mind-blowing realism and it did so with little CGI. Director Justin Hurwitz could have used computer graphics to showcase Neil Armstrong’s flight tests and the eventual Apollo 11 flight. Instead, he took a lesson from Christopher Nolan and used as much practical effects as possible. For the flight scenes, effects supervisors Paul Lambert (Blade Runner 2049), Ian Hunter (Interstellar), Tristan Myles and J.D. Schwalm placed simulation planes in front of 10-foot LED Screens which would play images of soaring skies while the planes were rigged to move in synch with the screens. This way the actors can get into the moment and the audience can feel more like they’re in the moment. All of this comes together to create scenes more thrilling than most Marvel Movies could dream of.

And then we get to the moon and your mind is blown by how real all of this looks. All done with little to no CGI.

But the academy seems to lean in favour of CGI effects. And many agree its key competition is Avengers: Infinity War thanks to the motion capture effects of intergalactic supervillain Thanos (Josh Brolin) which I will give credit for is amazing. But I suspect the Academy will lean more towards Ready Player One. Say what you will about the film[1], but you must give credit to the incredible effects.

By now, Spielberg’s effects team have mastered the use of motion capture, with our heroes’ avatars looking just realistic enough for video game characters without entering uncanny valley. It looks more impressive when the avatars interact with live action characters.

But the highpoint of the film’s special effects comes in the moment Wade (Tye Sheridan) and his friends enter the Shining. It’s mind-blowing to see these CGI characters blend into this film classic. If only there was as much quality in the storytelling.

[1] And yes, there is a lot to be said about the plot, performances and questionable ideals.
