also I know ppl hate vetting ingredients, but also want to know what I mean when I say Bad Ingredients, and I’m generally talking about the stuff that’s pretty high on the “might irritate skin” to “I WILL give you cancer and that IS A PROMISE” scale. this is the list I refer to when ingredient checking

I wasn't going to post it, as it's merely a test of messy and really blunt brushes that lack texture or finesse (part of my neverending journey to attempt and switch to drawing on an android tablet and suffering profoundly for the lack of ps brushes) However, for 4 days now, I kept jumping with surprise at the intensity of his gaze each time I opened my drafts (saved there to relocate from tablet to pc) and so in the end I decided that I might as well just leave it here as a, WIP, I suppose.

I do enjoy those details, though.

Bad has so many reasons to be cautious, even paranoid, as anyone else on the island. From Federation nonsense to Dapper being kidnapped to the whole purgatory nonsense to whatever fuckass suit of armor “old friend” was setting up cameras in his house. But it compounds on his regular overly aware paranoid self to this state of hyper-paranoia. And as a demon who can and usually will lie, cheat, steal, and use sneaky underhanded tactics, he expects the craziest extent because he thinks of it, realizes it’s possible, and would use it himself. We saw this very obviously in purgatory - when he thought greens desperate last ditch effort to balance the scale was a super planned out tactic to tip the scale, so he did it first, all the hardcore base hunting, the spawn killing, there’s a reason every other tactic he used usually followed a main channel qsmp post with updated rules - all usually things he was surprised no one else thought of. But then this also piles onto the fact that he has to have things go his way, all the time, and that he’s argumentative as all get out, which led to the debate between him and Bagi yknow. Especially because he’s not just doing it for the sake of being right, he doesn’t think he’s paranoid, but that he’s exercising the right amount of caution.

So like. Listen dude. Yeah he’s got reasons to be paranoid. But his thought process around building vaults for separate cookie caches like they locked up the risus pills, only to scrap it because it’s not perfectly impenetrable, is extreme. His character has hardly been a leading example in someone who has reasonable reactions to things. And even when there isn’t his own children’s livelihoods potentially on the line, he has a need for control, and the most control he has is if he keeps the cookies in his inventory at all times. If he makes himself the sole point in which the others can get ones in a case of emergency, then he can control the variables. The problem is he’s unreliable about himself when he’s at his most rational and healthiest, and he’s far worse with the current memory and health issues he’s been mostly unaware of.

I dunno it’s like. There is never going to be a purely impenetrable base. And it’s not just a case of “Bagi just hasn’t lived through __ yet!”. Bad’s own logic about keeping the cookies on him at all times is flawed under his own logic, because Bagi is right - if someone has enough drive to break into separate secured cookie caches purely for the downfall of eggs, they more than certainly have enough drive to find a way to kill Bad and just take them from his inventory, or to just kill the eggs themselves. All it truly does is give Bad a sense of control, and soothe his paranoia.

If I remember correctly back during the Birdhouse arc, I remember some people saying Philza liked a drawing of q!Phil turning into a villain from the whole Birdhouse thing, and so a lot of us thought that that would be the result of said arc. To which we got sadness instead (good shit good shit 👌👌👌).

But now with q!Phil having spent eggless for around two months on Quesadilla island, unsure what is even real or not as things he swore he saw and did just disappears, living in an empty house with so many memories and haunting signs from the eggs and no q!Missa to be seen (he has no clue his platonic partner has moved into the petting zoo of the aquarium q!Bad made beneath their home lol), be sent to Purgatory with everyone and almost immediately lose his trust in most people (besides his team- aka his found family- and maybe a select few others), losing his sanity along with his found family, losing all his hope about being able to save his eggs, and then spending most of his time with his rather insane found family (Team Bolas[???!?!?!!?] my beloved) that he thinks can do no wrong and will deny that they (or him) have done something wrong.

im thinking about possession aftereffects that linebeck experiences immediately after the events of phantom hourglass, so here are bullet points i have down for my own ideas

he’s out cold for roughly five days after the fight. he’s conscious for a bit after being freed, but it doesn’t take long for him to collapse once he’s transported back to the great sea. link finds him when he reaches his ship to see him again (he takes a lifeboat or w/e from tetras ship its a whole thing and not the point) and ends up having to take care of him for those five-ish days.

while he’s out cold, he develops a bad fever, and has a good few physical injures from being possessed; all of his wounds from being possessed manifest as burns, the worst wounds bring cauterized and mostly closed, while smaller ones are still open wounds. the largest wound is a large burn covering most of his back, which is cauterized by the time he passes out, and then there are smaller, still open burns on his upper arms and legs. (the smaller wounds are manageable by link when he follows some medical instructions, [there are some medical books on the ship] the larger one is also manageable, but takes a lot longer to properly heal).

(link asks tetra and her crew to stick around for a while to keep linebeck stabilized while he’s unconscious. when linebeck wakes up, tetra and her crew are good to leave because then linebeck can better report what’s going on, and knows how to handle injuries).

linebeck’s fever persists after he wakes up, and he experiences… pretty much every fever symptom, with especially bad chills and full-body aches. the aches are really bad for the first few days after he wakes up, he’s extremely physically weak and shaky for a while, too. that weakness and shakiness get better with time, but he doesnt go entirely back to normal without actually moving around and doing things to build that strength back up.

he’s delirious and struggles to stay awake for those first few conscious days, too, which makes that weakness and shakiness worse; he struggles to eat and drink water, and struggles to string together thoughts or words to talk to link, and both of them figure out pretty quickly that they’ll have to wait a bit longer before so much as an attempt to coax him out of bed can be made.

beyond existing problems with food, linebeck struggles to keep anything down while he recovers, and becomes ill pretty much every time after he eats anything, so a bucket is kept near his bed. with water, he obviously needs to drink a lot of it considering that he’s feverish, injured, and vomiting frequently, but while he’s sick he has a bit of an irrational fear of water (along with an irrational fear of air and the wind, which makes him hesitant to go outside while he’s sick).

he’s generally pretty irritable, which isn’t particularly new, but it makes him prone to refusing help with certain things. he’s less irritable when tired and just resting. he’s also especially nervous, and despite the overall fatigue, he struggles to sleep for very long while he’s sick, and as said before, is often delirious and even confused when things are bad.

along with the other difficulties eating, linebeck has a hard time swallowing for a bit, and salivates a lot more than normal while he’s sick. he is soooo fucking dehydrated the whole time and that really doesn’t help.

while the weakness and shakiness stays for the entire time he’s sick and even a bit afterwards, for the first few days after he wakes up he’s stiff and also experiences some muscle spasms and numbness in his limbs, and has a hard time keeping his balance the first few times he gets out of bed.

once the sickness clears up fully, linebeck has to still be careful with the scar on his back; it’s sensitive to touch for a while and hurts when exposed to the sun or air for too long and when he stretches his back too far, but eventually just reaches the point where it’s a bit sensitive but is otherwise just a large scar.

obviously he’s also going through the wringer in an emotional and mental illness sense too but those would require a whole new bullet point list.

i lowkey feel like ls would benefit from having a smaller space

like since its a pvp and interaction-focused server with less than 30 members, most of whom struggle to log on, i think itll do them some good to limit the amount of space they can traverse so that the ones who Do get on get to mess around with each other easier

doesnt need to be Super small or anything, just maybe small enough that you can fly around the whole thing in under 7 mins

TRIAL OF THE MERDRAGON!!!

Fun fact : she admired martial artists when she was a young merfish so much that her dad taught her martial arts with her because she was so hyper fixated on kung fu and many martial arts but since she does not have legs

she went to makoto for training purposes and she Master the power of self-defense by impressing makoto with her self-taught martial arts skills that that she learn from her father and after seeing all of this from one dragon fish

makoto said "well damn...I have never seen anyone be so passionate about self-defense before...great job satonaka-san. "and then she smiled and chie was proud of herself for showing people her kung fu

she however is cold blooded and this will be important later

she was worried about yukiko because she was sick with the flu so she was in her home but after the death of saiki and the fog getting closer to freshwater inaba she worried about something in her mind that plagued her.....

( what if the fog gets to yukiko's house and just straight up kills her when she is still sick ! I cannot let this happen to her! )

So she went to yukiko's house and knocked on her door "yukiko! Open up! I need to tell you something!" As soon she yelled at the door the door opened and it was yukiko wrapped up in a waterproof blanket "oh chie! It's nice to see you! where have you been?" yukiko said in a happy tone

"I was looking for you of course duh!" chie said normally

And so chie went inside yukiko's house and told her about the fog and how it's worrying her friends with saving the freshwatersea or whatever and she was listening to the whole thing "that's terrible!" yukiko said with a scared look on her face "yeah I know right it's messed up!" "but how do we stop it from killing? aren't you like cold-blooded survived more things that will injured somebody?" yukiko said questioning chie

Chie facepalms and said in a serious tone "alright listen, once you get better I want you to join the investigation team"

"why?" yukiko asked again questioning her friend

"we need more helping hands to find the culprit who made the fog in the first place and you seem a great candidate for being a pyrotechnician... If you know what I mean? so would you take the chance?"

"......I'll take it..."

"really!?"

"...hmmm...once I get better I'll show you and your friends what I can do!"

"thank you yukiko...." chie smiled joyfully and hugs yukiko and she sneezes "bless you" said chie

"thanks...."
