A longer, more in depth (9 parts all in one) terukane analysis, and/or everything i could find, compiled (one of my better pieces of work imo) ⭐️

Ok so it might be the fact that i ship them so i see alot of things they do as possibly romantic even when theres no romantic implications, but the amount of times it feels like AidaIro seems to be implying that teru likes akane is getting to a suspiciously high number. Like lets look at this from a non-shipper’s pov (or at least try😭)

Item A: teru looking at akane

Without the context that he’s looking at akane, he genuinely looks like he’s showing something of raw emotion, unchanged by his “fake persona” but a genuine reaction. Looking at this picture at face value one would assume he’s big time crushing. I mean i wouldn’t say “omg hes so in lovveee!!!” But considering he doesn’t really open up to like anyone, i think this is definitely something??

Item B: them going together on a romantic outing

Yes i did make it sound much more compelling then it actually is but cmon man. The school festival is considered a “romantic event” and these two spent the entire time hanging around the school together. first off, this picture.

First lets look at hanako’s. We can see he has two drinks, both red + with strawberries, along with a red straw. While also being pictured near other red fruits.

In this picture, nene’s flower(s) are literally strawberry flowers, putting the association between strawberries + nene out there. Meaning the strawberries in his drink could be purposeful, along with the red undertones. (red being her eye color) (sorry for quality im doin this on iPhone)

Moving on to teru’s, he has one drink, being yellow-ish with pineapple on the side, and chunks in the drink itself. Whilst his straw is orange, while also being pictured around a ginormous pinapple

(More or so when he left they started talking but ykwim) Since nene is being associated with strawberries it leaves the only other person to be akane, this also making sense also because of the straw color. (The straw being orange; akane’s rep color being orange, as nene’s is red)

You are so right. I generally apply this to all characters in p5 bc the game does such a shit job of staying consistent with character arcs and personalities. Theres a desperate need to throw in perverse jokes at the expense of female characters and a need to show that the police (as a whole) are reliable people who are not influenced by things like money and power; only the BAD cops do that. Not to mention this obvious fatphobia and homophobia but i feel likes thats a given.

But back to Makoto. Shes a victim of bad writing just like everyone else. Ryuji during the kamoshida arc was fighting with self loathing and genuine anxiety, and aside from the like. One comment on Panthers outfit in the metaverse, hes more than well behaved. All of that is shelved as soon as Kamoshida is gone and replaced with him being weird comic relief (and the focus of alot of sexual jokes that were nonexistent in the beginning of the game). Anns arc about self love and empowerment is completely dropped as soon as the nasty bad guy is put away (so that its good to be weird about her w the Good Guys). Makoto loses her a chunk of her personality to be the mature waifu which is INSANE to me bc shes like. Not okay or normal at all 😭😭😭 she THINKS shes responsible and so does everyone else on her team, but its an act! She doesnt know shit! And she doesnt know that she doesnt know shit bc shes respectful and adults dont care about anything as long as u respect them!

Its very telling that for literally every single thief (and goro), you can see the exact moment the writers gave up on adding anything of worth to their characters outside of the social links. Its like they didnt know what to even do w the characters at their disposal after their main arcs were complete. No mention of friends hanging out without you, no mention of having group hangouts. Everyone is treated as a core, important member of the friend group DURING their arc, but outside of it, they are acquaintances at best. Theres nothing in the game that convinces you that these guys are legitimately friends who care for each other and do Friend Things. And i describe it like that bc there IS a game that treats them all as friends, and its strikers! Strikers/Scramble genuinely feels like the game p5 wanted to be; a road trip w your team where they stay up at night talking to each other and hanging out and doing things together that dont necessarily include you, the player. Its refreshing and lovely but it sucks that u get that kind of attention to detail in a ‘spinoff’ title

My number one match for you is. . Guido Mista! He's quite the popular pick but quite honestly I feel like he would blend with your personality best.

Mista on his own is already an outgoing guy, so he's absolutely going to match your energy the second you get comfortable. He's friends with everyone the same way you are, but don't get me wrong, since he's hella supportive, the second you don't like someone, its we don't like him. You already know he's a goof, so he's gonna make you laugh and he thinks your laugh, especially the harder ones are absolutely adorable, even if you are running into people.

Mista also loves food no doubt, and will absolutely eat or sample anything you put in front of him (or he'll sneak in the kitchen while you're cooking just to taste, I mean can you blame him?). Just don't cut anything into fours.

I see Mista as someone who's smooth and romantic, so he can totally cater to all of those love languages, but he's not over the top like some other italians in this series. He'd respect your desire to not do any kind of PDA, but he still goes with you everywhere when he can, and once you're together alone it makes it all the more special when you're all affectionate.

Physically, he's a bit shorter but he is still taller than you (coming in around 5'10"). it always makes me so incredibly happy when people view the characters similarly to me aswell bc like u mentioned they Are kinda prone to getting mischaracterized in some ways...... i think it mainly comes from both natsume and tsumugi having MANY factors to their characters though, and the mischaracterization comes from only highlighting one aspect of them and failing to think about how their different attributes overlap (although this can probably be said for the entire cast tbh). like an easy example that im sure everyone gets by now is natsumes little tsundereisms. if you only focus on him being rude to tsumugi it can look like hes just some edgy guy with anger management issues, but when you take into account other factors such as him having a rather spoiled upbringing both by his parents and nii-sans, and his distaste towards feeling "weak" (also caused by his upbringing, since he was frail as a child and raised as a girl) you start to see that oh. alot of that is just him being defensive and emotionally immature. since he had such a comfortable upbringing those hints of discomfort and vulnerability are threatening to him as someone who always had everything handed to him. and when you dont know how to deal with situations like that ASWELL as being afraid of being seen as "weak" youre Gonna start resorting to harsher words and sometimes even get physical because you have no clue how else to handle this. its also why the natsumes character consists of him being pretty obsessed with "growing up" and "not being a kid anymore," because he knows how immature he could be SKHDGJH he doesnt have bad intentions he just. doesnt know how to be vulnerable with people

So to sum it up the video was basically saying that Bluestar is a bad person for what she did to Brightheart/Lostface and went on to nickpick things about her, like interpreting her personality as entitled and I vaguely remember some implication that she was judging ThistleClaw unfairly. Which is... fine on it's own. You don't have to like the character or the things she did, but they also had a similar video "defending" Thistleclaw. Obviously not in a condoning his actions kind of way, but it was something along the lines of "You guys are hating him for the wrong reasons. You should hate him for being violent and a gr*0mer. But he was actually nice to Snowfur and loved her so stop making art/content where he's mean to Snowfur!"

And it probably didn't sit well with alot of people because... what difference does it make?

And god I could rant, I could rant, I could RANT about why showing Thistleclaw in any positive light when it is common knowledge that a majority of this fandom are in middle school was not a good idea. And besides that, he canonly calls Snowfur and their son weak after she died. Thistleclaw isn't and was never supposed to be a sympathetic character.

I genuinely dont care if you like him or headcanon him, blah blah whatever. I'm not here to police people over fake cats. Idc. but any Thistleclaw defense is completely uncalled for and has no purpose when his fucking character is a canon ped0 and gr*0mer who might put the age group this book is made for at risk. The things he does in Spottedleaf's Heart are bad, and the book just never acknowledged that the gr*0ming and age gap were the issue, rather just the fact that he was training in the Dark Forest. I think this could be very easily misinterpreted by children because it doesn't show the true weight of how bad Spottedpaw's situation is.

But anyways, after those videos, the backlash against Bluestar was intense and there was definitely a bigger Thistleclaw fan crowd for awhile. I mean this spread like wildfire. Any video, art posted, or mention of Bluestar would always have a ton of people making unnecessary side comments like "I hate her but-" "I don't like her but-" etc. I would even see people link the video if you mentioned liking her😭?? Which is just 1. rude to say on someone else work and 2. Blantantly parroting for the video just because the op was popular.

I don't blame this video specifically, and I know the fandom is mostly kids- even more so back then- but I do think it had a bit of a part to play in how the warriors fandom has long since blurred the line between "This character is bad" and "This character did a bad thing."

Yes, Bluestar did bad things, but the narrative VERY MUCH portrayed those things as bad. The reader knows what she did was bad. The characters know what she did was bad. That was the entire point. Completely opposite of characters like Bramblestar, who do bad things but are defended by the narrative and it's way more appropriate to bring negative attention.

Imo Bluestar was one of the best written and tragic characters in the series and before that video alot of people agreed, but for years after it she was reduced to "She did bad thing so I can't like her anymore". The whole Bluestar stuff has blown off since and I'm glad, but it's so frustrating how many characters get this treatment as well lately instead of being seen as narrative tools.

I AGREE WITH YOU SO HARD ON THE JAMES×HARRY THING its always disturbed me. The two characters have no chemistry to start and the way you'd get them to have any is by disjointing them from who they are both as a person and character. It just becomes OC content masked as silent hill at that point. All this to say as well, I enjoy both characters, im. Notorious for my enjoyment of Harry in my friend circles but like James is a really interesting character, albeit shitty person. I wont yuck someone's yum but reducing characters to shipping 24/7 is regressive and damaging to one's ability 2 consume media just 😭😭😭 enjoy the games without reliance on romance its not that hard

oooooh my goodness, so i'm loving this.

alot of ppl got pissed off at heethan, which i totally understand, but he's never really claimed to be a fair or good guy...in fact, he's said it three times now that he's selfish and insanely in love with you...i dont know why i feel the need to justify him but i think its because....even though he did make me mad at the beginning of the chapter, he made up for it with that sensual scene! omg! the way he kept saying he was sorry as he was..you know....i clapped my hands and nearly prayed at that point. I wanted to add a bit of angst/drama in their relationship bc i dont display it enough, and i dont want their relationship to be displayed as that happy perfect cookie cutter type. they definitely have ups and downs like anyone else, but the love is sooooo real, it conquers everything else! i'm so glad you loved the chapter bc it def is one of my favorites. <3 after some family event stuff today, tonight i'm going to finish and post part 3 of lucifer's chapter ;)

Very quiet at first, not shy but just dosent engage

It would take a while for him to become interested, and even longer for him to be interested romantically

Once he does he kind of questions himself "why do I like them? What's going on with me? This is strange"

if you end up staying I his room you'll eventually sleep together, in the beginning of the night he'll litterally sleep om the opposite side of the bed

If you ask to cuddle he'll just straight up say "no."

But in the morning you wake up with him basically ontop of you

If it's an accident or on purpose? You'll never know

if he woke up before you, he might stay there just watching you, depending on his mood

Scares the shit out of you when you wake up because he's basically staring like "😐"

not very emotionally expressive, very much prefers to show his love through gifts and acts of service

If you give him a gift back he'll have a terribly hard time trying to accept it

Hes the type of guy who thinks that you deserve the world but dosent know how to show it at all

Youll never really know what he actually thinks, as long as he's there with you though he still loves you

Takes alot for him to be comfortable with PDA and such

The most you'll get in public is holding hands and that's only ever infront of "close friends" so to speak

He takes very good care of his hair and he WILL expect the same from you

If you can't do it yourself he will do it for you, finds it comforting in a strange way

He likes to braid alot, even if your hair is short he'll find a way

If it's to short for a braid and it dosent need to be brushed he'll run his hands through / over it

Always comes up with an excuse as to why he has to do it though

He loves you alot but he just never shows it in convential ways :,)
