This morning for a brief time, a garter snake was the least happy creature in all of Florida. (it's fine, so are the Spaniels)

The snake and Tristan were spitting insults at each other from about a meter away, neither willing to turn away to leave, but neither interested in attacking. Got themselves into an unwinnable standoff. I was glad to know Tristan has the sense to stay out of striking range, and make a lot of noise, even if he accidentally corners a snake.

Then we arrived to check on the yelling; Tristan went inside accompanied by handfuls of treats for Being A Very Good Boy, and the snake was gently shooed out of its coil and outside the fence.

Tristan is very proud of himself. So proud. Smug, even. He Protected His Home.

Finally finished Smaugust, in September. But better late than never. I think I’ll try to go over these digitally sometime because I have some cool color ideas. I like my dragon born guy, he is very shape. I also like the bay dragon and the uranium dragon a bunch. Kind of got crunched at the bottom because not enough space

that’s it for now mates. My hand feels like shit, ice pack time.

not too much art time as I sort a lot of illuminarti stuff, taking in levels and updating sheets, doing math, double-checking level addition, ect... BUT I got one of the pokemon of the next set done and started work on the first little dragon for the illuminarti event c:  Gonna keep up the art energy and get the last pokemon done and lots of little dragons done AND another full-body dragon done! That’s the goal!

I recently bought an art book on Caspar David Friedrich, whose emotional work stuck with me since I first saw it in a museum years ago. Over the course of a few weeks, I read about his life and at the same time did studies/interpretations of many pieces. It was a really enjoyable and fulfilling project; here's a good lot of them together :)

I was happy to see many people enjoyed Friedrich's work+my interpretations while posting them individually. It took way too long, but I FINALLY set up a print shop for some of these + some other pieces for those who expressed interest. Thank you so much!
