The more I think about it, the more upset I get that people kept mentioning Vanity Fair as a classic Victorian novel and making it sound all depressing, and not a single person mentioned it contained passages like this:

And then he proceeds to write in the style of three alternate genres for half the chapter before getting back to the story!

There is zero fourth wall here! So much meta-commentary! So much sarcasm! Not since Jules Verne have I encountered an author who was so obviously having this much fun writing his story.

And no one had the decency to tell me that it might be fun to read!

New oc ref for Eliza because I did another revamp yay

Sigmund’s daughter in my Reborn AU who is a modified human having the powers of psycho and electrokinesis. Also known as "Guardian Angel of Reborn City" by the people due to her being proactive in the restoration and known for her compassion.

She suffers from memory loss (retrograde amnesia to be exactly) after recovering in stasis for a few years due to nearly dying from an accident. Once awakened and fully recovered Eliza finds her hometown in ruins with corruption and crime rulling over everything. So she decides to aid Ame in restoring the city and helping it's citizens while trying to find answers and clues about her past (she receives strange dreams and visions sometimes so she tries to pierce them together).

Became a member of Reborn's Elite Four (holding said position for five years) who specializes in Psychic and Electric types (due to her powers). She is friends with fellow e4 members Laura and Bennett who share a close friendship with eachother. Sadly, Eliza's and Laura's friendship became strained due to Saphira being wary and distrust of the former due to being Sigmund’s daughter (Sins of the Fathers being a bitch), believing she's just like him and wants to harm her sisters. Just like the "Good Doctor", right?

She is very fond of children having a close bond with the kids in the Lapis Treatment Center (which functions both as a psychiatric ward and orphanage), helping out in the orphanage section and is very protective over them (like harm them and you are in deep shit dude). They are the reason why Eliza hasn't fully given up on helping others despite becoming resentful towards those who wronged her and towards the corrupt officials. They kept her from going off the deep end and she'll done anything for them.

Some Info:

- Her signature Pokemon is Reuniclus (Soleil). Also rotates between her Alolan Raichu in e4 matches (also due to dual type representation).

- She's Bisexual Panromantic.

- Has a complicated relationship with her father especially after her death of her birth mother when Eliza was 13 back then. Despite loving him and having some worries about him, she constantly disagrees with his methods and would try her best to protect and shield the children as best she can. Sigmund in turn is obsessive and possessive of his daughter (especially sutbly gaslighting and emotionally manipulating her) and would be too overprotective and trying to keep her close to him. His actions doesn't help that his daughter is receiving the brunt of people's hatred and distrust towards her (e.x Saphira) without even understanding why.

- Like Amaria, she can be fought in singles or doubles and will ask challenges which field format they would fight. But due to having multiple teams and constantly rotates between them, the Reborn Association told her to stick with one "officially" to avoid confusion.

- Her "officially" e4 team is combined from both her single and double teams.

- Has done shady things and often went to 7th Street under a different alias. Mostly for the sake for the future of Reborn's children and as a coping mechanism due to being ostracised as a result.

okay not to be that guy but. i'm gonna be that guy. saw a post abt the teraleak mythology thing again and op basically said they were upset bc it wasn't productive bc it was unusable. my guy these poor gamefreak workers are already overworked, so sue them for writing one (1) non-productive piece of lore.

they need a break somehow. if that's by plugging pokemon into a myth that resembles some japanese folklore then so be it.

also??? i go to Thee American Culinary College where we're quite literally told to try and think abt/engage with food study for 16 hours a day when we have about 6 other classes to worry about too. i know about being fucking exhausted and "productivity." fuck off with blaming the writers/devs for trying to work under extreme time constraints + a constantly raising bar + burnout and the writing comes out bad.
