Yesterday I told my mom I needed a bandaid for my hair. I meant hair tie. I had to try to describe a fabric coated rubber band you tie ponytails with and could not do it in time before she had to hang up and go back to work.

This morning I dated an important thing a year from yesterday.

hey Genshin artists! i've got a tip for you!

TL;DR: In the current Fayz event in Genshin, on PC you can use the walking stance during time-freeze to "tick forward" time in tiny steps without cancelling the current animation. This can be really helpful for getting good reference photos with unique angles in each snapshot!

I'll be reblogging this post with a more detailed explanation and extra photos, but for this post I'm keeping it short and showing one set of images with instructions.

One note, though: you have to re-toggle walking after each time you "move". So the sequence is like this: Freeze time, take a photo, toggle walking, tap a movement key to unfreeze time, and repeat. You have to toggle walking each time you do this, because after each freeze/unfreeze, you're put back in the default running state.

I'm still thinking about vampire Usopp w/sanuso btw, just like

Sanji insisting Usopp come to him whenever he's hungry, for multiple reasons, but primarily bc he's the cook, it's his job to keep his cremates fed above everything else. And Usopp going along with it, asking for blood around the same times he used to ask for food. Thinking Sanji would tell him if he ever took too much.

Sanji, however, is a fool. A very kind, but large fool. He doesn't tell Usopp when he's taking too much or too frequently. In fact their whole arrangement barely lasts a few weeks before Sanji collapses in the middle of food prep.

Like, just the idea of the guy who gives and gives and, yeah it feels nice to give, but can't fathom the idea that there are others on the crew able to do the same. That he doesn't have to give until there's nothing left.

Idk just. Physical manifestation of his problems with accepting unconditional love without having to give anything to earn it. As in, the more he gives without bounds, the more he's literally killing himself.

And then. And then.

Usopp coming into the galley, ready to sheepishly ask for a snack, just like before this whole thing, and finding Sanji on the floor.

And he yells for Chopper before looking Sanji over. Coming to the realization that this was him- this was his fault. He took too much. Asked for too much. Asked too much of Sanji.

And he's just kicking himself the whole time, telling himself it was stupid to ever think Sanji- Sanji of all people- would ever deny him a chance to fill his belly.

He comes to the conclusion he can't ask Sanji for blood anymore. He can't ask anyone for blood anymore. He couldn't risk this happening again. To any of them.

After Sanji got a transfusion and isn't at risk of falling over anymore, he and Usopp begin an agonizing back and forth routine.

Sure, Sanji can't give blood for a while- doctor's orders- but there are some rather big fish in the aquarium, and Usopp has always loved the taste of fish. He drains the blood out of a few, stores the excess in the fridge, and offers a glass to Usopp to make up for the lunch portion he never got.

Usopp says something or other about grabbing a bite from a sea king earlier and waves him off. Sanji frowns but doesn't say anything.

And this same bit continues and continues and continues, until Sanji puts his foot down. Literally.

Kicks Usopp's ass to the galley. Has an infuriating conversation with him. Continues to try and get him to drink. Ends up coming to a conclusion that Usopp only liked drinking blood from the source. A passing thought making him consider that there was only one source- one person he'd drink from.

Usopp- tired and fuzzy and hungry, so so hungry- is trying his damnedest to keep Sanji satisfied with lies he doesn't have the energy to make believable. He's trying and trying but Sanji is bulldozing through each one, not taking no for an answer and-

Is it me? Sanji asks, his voice far, far too hopeful. Do you only want to drink from me?

And if Usopp wasn't tired- wasn't literally starving and finding it hard to keep his thoughts from slipping away- he would examine that voice. That tone. Run through his own daydreams with different words, different contexts, being implied with those words.

But he is tired. And he is starving. And he needs to get a grip before he wavers even more in his resolve.

And so, it's surprising yet all too expected when Usopp declares Sanji's blood as the nastiest thing he's ever tasted. Says he never wants to get within smelling distance anymore, it's that bad. Too late, he realizes his smelling distance, now, covers the entirety of the ship and then some.

Sanji stays silent. Usopp contemplates taking it back. He doesn't.

Casually, Sanji reaches over to his knife block. Despite his current status as a member of the undead, Usopp fears for his life. He wonders if Sanji was just as skilled with a knife as Zoro was with his swords and desperately hopes that's not the case. Aloud, he tries to calm Sanji down while subtly trying to put distance between them.

Without any warning, practically without sound, Sanji tilts his head and cuts a thin line near the juncture from his neck to his shoulder. And all of a sudden, Usopp's filled with another, far more terrifying, kind of fear.

It's just like Boin, Usopp, he thinks to himself, eyes glued to the spot where dark red beads of blood well up on pale skin. Just like Boin.

Starting to wonder if Visenya maybe cursed Aegon’s name as well. Cause it sure seems that each new Aegon is worse than the previous one (punishment for inflicting more Aegons on the world) BUT so long as they’re going by something else they’re okay (Egg&Griff). Moment they go back to Aegon though… *looks at Summerhall*

I would argue that the “curses” on either name have to do with what they’re associated with thematically. Through her actions to install a monarchy in Westeros (specifically her work to create Maegor as the perfect heir and also to undermine Rhaena’s claim at all costs) Visenya Targaryen created a world in which there could never be another Visenya in her family. The gender roles the Targaryens impose on their daughters that Visenya helped introduce mean no one like her would ever be allowed to exist in their family line again. Dark Sister only gets passed to men, and her role in the family as eldest daughter re:duty, protecting the family, being the violent enforcer of the king, gets permutated into the role of the second (or bastard!) son for the rest of the Targaryens. All of this is reflected in the idea that her name is cursed, there can literally never be another Visenya again, she made sure of that.

Why do people name their sons Aegon? Because it’s a trapping of power that Targaryens bestow on a baby that they’re trying to make the king.The name Aegon is a crown, and the series is very clear that to crown someone is to kill them. Aegon the Conqueror being very bland in Fire and Blood was an interesting choice- it established that no one knew him as a human, they knew him as their king. Aegon II and Aegon III were named as power-grab attempts by the blacks and the greens, and arguably the fourth was named for the same purpose. Egg switching to Aegon to become the king was taking Maester Aemon’s advice to “kill the boy” and it ended in complete and total doom because the kingship, the iron throne and the crown, is the real curse.

TL;DR the Visenya curse is about gender and it’s not specifically the name “Aegon” that’s cursed, it’s being the king, of which the name Aegon is a key symptom of.

I had a hilarious TRT-related hiccup earlier today when I was seeing a museum with a friend who was in the area.

So we met up, and she and her partner hop into my car. Naturally, I have some music playing softly in the background, specifically the official TRT playlist cause I wasn't thinking and had Matt and Jane on the brain. And after a few songs, as we're driving to the museum and chatting, she, in clearly somewhat puzzled tone, is like, 'what is this you're listening to?' because there's a really random assortment of styles on there thanks to recs from me, all ya'll, my sis, and spotify itself.

And my brain... stalls.

Because these people in the car are Friends but not Fanfic Friends and neither of them even know what fanfiction is. And any explanation will potentially launch a cascading wave of further fanfic explanations until I'm eventually discussing Star Trek slash back in Ye Olden Fandom Times (TM) or knowing me going further back to Dante's Divine Comedy in the 1300s, which was not a powerpoint presentation we had time for. Yet, 'yes this is a 9 hour playlist put together by me and a bunch of readers of my stuff, and by stuff I mean a really long free story I've written based on a tv show simply because I am obsessed, no I do not know all of them personally but we all talk regularly and they bring me songs for the fic sometimes like cats laying birds at the feet of their humans only instead of feeling shock and horror I am delighted and have collected them for the past 3 years and that is why my playlist is gloriously broad in style and scope' is also likely to launch us into explanations we do not have time for. Lying never occurs to me.

anyway now that I am Being Brave I can post a tiny excerpt of the current project that is consuming my brain, which is more Lisa/Jean/Kaeya omegaverse but with different alt-bio from the existing Lisa/Jean/Kaeya omegaverse:

"So Lisa is going to play at Acting Acting Grand Master while you-" all the terms that come to mind feel wildly inappropriate to say in front of Jean, *about* Jean "-handle this?" Do not comment on the way i draw Ghoul's bodies.

They're my personal headcanons and I don't care if you don't think a swimmer and touring musician would have a muscular build.

You don't like it? Draw them yourself.

I have designed these ghouls with my own personal headcanons and considerations of their back stories and real life inspirations.

I do not want to see tags in my art saying "he's too soft :(" "they're so buff :(" "why is she hour glass shaped?"

Especially when it's someone like cumulus who i have drawn several times before out of uniform and she is clearly not naturally "hour glass shaped" but ffs SHAPE WEAR EXISTS, especially if it's a uniform you wear to perform?!! She's gonna wanna have back and bust support!!! I have publicly headcanoned that ghouls wear corsetry for support!! I'm not just drawing her skinnier i am just considering other fucking variables!!!

Why are rain, swiss and mountain more physically built??? Because rain is a swimmer and i have used references of Olympic medalist swimmers to use as reference for how i wanted to draw him as well as looked at surfer body types, most of which were skinnier but toned!!! So that's why?? Mountain bc he's in the fucking garden doing sowing and planting work and playing the fucking drums, that's some fucking heavy ass equipment he's helping the band move and he does it seamlessly!!! Swiss also??? He's a multi, he's tall too, he's gotta be strong to help with everything they need, plus you think that he's gonna be bending ghouls over if he were so skinny??? Probably not!!

Another petty one. Consider more variables?? Aka working out releases lactic acid, and the surge of fluids causes your muscle cells to swell up, especially if you're drinking something like a protein drink without a carb/fat filled breakfast.

Do you think a DEMONIC HUMANOID CREATURE, that wakes up at dawn to have a protein shake AND GO SWIMMING AND SURFING is not??? Gonna look??? Buff????

Like??? Sorry if this rant sounds petty but I'm genuinely tired of dealing with people commenting on my own personal original designs.

I have never claimed to be drawing the people on stage. I am drawing MY OWN CHARACTERS, based on the real thing.

Don't just comment on people's characters or art if it's not something they can fix within 3 strokes of their pen.
