What if the events of Every were such a shock that the Bentley stops turning everything into Queen? Everything gets turned into A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square instead.

"Memory Card" theory
I woke up thinking about something silly. Remembering that I've never read the books so my understanding of the universe is based only on what I've seen. But has anyone talked about the boxes and the memories?
In the second season, we discover that the angels in charge liked to play at erasing the memories of angels who acted outside the laws of heaven.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And well, we also know that Crowley has a certain empathy with Jimbriel when it comes to searching for erased memories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the funny thing is that Jimbriel says he put his memories in a matchbox (a gift from Beelzebub) and then took it out and put it in the box and then it's everywhere (because it's a fly?).
And where have I seen boxes too?
Tumblr media
I mean, it's very funny that a demon likes plants so much (remember, I haven't read the books), but it's even stranger to realize that he wants the plants in a box, inside another "box" (this is an S2 situation, I mean).
Tumblr media
What am I getting at? The plants themselves have a certain conscience, they are afraid of Crowley from what we saw in season one and not just them, Bentley also has a conscience. They are sentient things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And if they are sentient because they keep the pieces of memory that Crowley wants to protect? (And as a result they become part of Crowley?)
Plants are super sensitive and fearful, they hold all the memories that could be triggers of this kind for Crowley. "Bentley would follow Aziraphale wherever he went" could simply be all the good memories Crowley has of Aziraphale, which is perhaps why he's so afraid of sharing the car with the angel. And maybe that's why the car easily molds itself to Aziraphale's tastes.

We know that both the plants and Bentley are things that Crowley discovered while living on earth, but that doesn't take away the possibility of him using them as memory boxes, in the same way that Gabriel does with the fly that Belzebub gives him as a present.
And so… perhaps the only thing that differs Gabriel from Crowley is that…

...Crowley never forgot the way to get to Aziraphale.

One of the funniest things about the good omens fandom last year was when someone would point out something that obviously wasnt true (the yellow tulip, literally any of the caption mistakes, there were so many others i cant remember) or make up a headcanon with complete authority (body swap theory, coffee theory, crowley cant see stars) and it becomes unavoidable for like a month. And then someone would message neil gaiman about it and hed be like can yall just write fanfiction and stop asking dumb shit. Truly an experience

[in the middle of the night, talking about Connor]
Sly: Well, I think... I think in certain ways, he tried the best he could, didn't he?
Bentley: From what we've heard? No, I don't think he did.
Sly: I- I don't really remember... He... he expected a lot of me, but isn't that what... didn't that make me great?
Murray: Expectation without love. What's that?

Hey I'm just curious where the info about nile crocodiles possibly going extinct due to the bombings came from because I can't find that information anywhere or even evidence that nile crocodiles live or lived anywhere near the area
Good question! I found a couple articles that talks about it. It seems the Nile croc USED to exist there and no longer does (because of Britain, not Israel). So they have just completely left that area, and have been gone since the 1930's. Still misinformation on my end, I'm sorry.
Another amendment: I put that in my post because I had just seen a Tumblr post about the last croc being mourned by Palestinians, and with everything going on, I thought it was related to the genocide. It wasn't. It was recent art about an event that happened a long time ago. Here's the Reddit version of that post as well.
I should have done more research beforehand. I was frustrated and just reciting information I'd reblogged onto my blog. The crocodile thing was actually what pushed me to make that post in the first place, so that is 100% on me. (And yes, even that post said "1930s", so I don't really have an excuse on that one besides I was tired and frustrated, but yeah. I still am, but y'know.)
Between Extinction and Dispossession: A Rhetorical Historiography of the Last Palestinian Crocodile (1870–1935) by Elisabeth Bentley
On Killing Crocodiles: Colonial Zoology in Late Ottoman Palestine by Elisabeth Bentley
I would like to note that both my sources are from the same person. Bentley appears to be an expert on the topic, and also the only one talking about it. Her essays keep being re-used on different websites over and over again, so it looks like I'm not the only one who can't find any other sources. But her work is well-written, and definitely worth a read.
I'm gonna be more diligent about this going forward.
