Are u okay with Sirius's shipps?
sure! i'm okay with people having all the headcanons and pairings they like, and i have my own preferences that i typically keep to my main blog except for the very rare indulgences here and there. i want this to be a siriushead neutral ground regardless of ships.

A Man has Needs part 3
First
Fandom: DP x DC Ship: Dead on Main (Jason/Danny) Summary: In which Jason keeps up ending up in Danny's bed and not even for any fun reasons.
Part 3
Daniel James Fenton, 20 years old, born and raised in Amity Park, Illinois. Graduated high school with barely passing grades. Currently enrolled in Gotham U’s aerospace engineering program, with (ironically) a Wayne Foundation scholarship of a type that was reliant on entrance exam test results rather than high school grades. Either his high school teachers hated him or he spent the gap year studying his ass off to ace the exams.
At least it explained what he was doing in Gotham of all places, Jason thought as he leaned on the kitchen island chin in his hand, laptop open in front of him. The WF scholarships for Gotham U were very good, yet still most people had the sense not to move to Gotham - and Crime Alley at that.
Him being from the Midwest might even explain some of the strange hospitality, though Jason felt he probably took it a level above most people.
Of family there was an older sister - like he’d mentioned. Jasmine Fenton was currently doing a PhD in the field of Psychology.
The parents, Jack and Madeline Fenton had doctorates of their own, though what little he could find published from them was from very disreputable paranormal sort of publications. They seemed to have very little basis for their theories - one of which was that ghosts were inherently evil - which was just absolute hogwash. They apparently lived off the payout of some early inventions they’d made and sold to the government.
Beyond that there was only an aunt.
Friends were much harder to judge. Danny’s social media presence was practically non-existent. He’d only just opened an account on Mugshot, Gotham’s favored social, this Monday, apparently due to encouragement from new Gotham U friends.
Jason absently drummed his fingers on the counter, as he stared unseeingly towards his laptop. Maybe Tim or Babs could find more, but Jason found himself reluctant to involve them, they would want to know why he was looking into the guy, they would want a reason to dig deeper than the basic background check Jason had already done.
Jason could not- would not, tell them about this… attraction? Jason rubbed his face tiredly. Attraction was a terrible word, that implied other things, but it was the best he had.
The oven timer had the kindness to beep then, signifying that batch of cookies was done, and distracting him for a few minutes as he transferred them to the cooling rack and got another plate going.
It was a limited reprieve however and all too soon he was back in front of his laptop. He had no other avenues, there really was only one thing to do.
Oo o oO
“We need to talk.” He flung the words out the moment a surprised Danny opened the door. The surprise however quickly gave way to a grimace as he registered the words.
“Do we have to?” Danny asked honest pleading in his voice.
Jason felt really tempted to say no, but forced himself to say “yes.”
“Okay,” Danny sighed, leaving the door open for Jason to step inside.
Jason closed the door after himself and felt his shoulders relax from their tense position and his breath come out in a relieved sigh. Safe.
He looked to Danny who wrung his hands.
Jason had meant to say something, ask something, he’d had a plan. He wanted answers. Answers… Jason opened his mouth, sound getting stuck in his throat. Just ask him what was going on? But what did it really matter?
“Ah! Please don’t say anything,” Danny interrupted Jason’s internal struggle. “I have been trying so hard not to make this awkward.”
Jason grimaced when he saw how uncomfortable Danny looked. Jason was making him uncomfortable.
“Okay look,” Danny took a deep breath and held up his hands, and looked at Jason with his big blue eyes, “will you please, just let me start, and if you really feel like you need to say something you can do so afterwards, yeah? Though it’s really not necessary.”
“Okay,” Jason managed mouth dry.
“I don’t know how to make this not awkward, but here goes, it’s okay.”
“Okay?” Jason reiterated brows raising in confusion.
“Yes, it’s okay, truly. Fuck, how would Jazz say it,” Danny looked thoughtful for a moment before meeting Jason’s eyes again. “You have needs, and that is okay.”
Jason frowned bewildered and alarmed. Needs?
Seeing Jason’s frown Danny unfortunately rambled, “I know it’s not exactly socially normal no matter which way you look at it, but it’s fine. I have a big bed, truly it’s fine. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, or apologize-“
Overwhelmed, Jason held up his bag of cookies and Danny thankfully stopped talking.
“Coffee?” Danny croaked after a moment’s silence.
“Please,” Jason agreed.
Five minutes later they sat at Danny’s small table a plate of cookies between them, looking down at their steaming coffee, awkwardly avoiding looking at each other.
Jason didn’t know what to think. Had he gotten any information out of this? Needs… Jason had needs, and those let him to Danny’s bed? He cringed away from the thought.
Across from him, Danny poked the handle of his cup. “Can we just pretend this conversation didn’t happen?”
Maybe Danny had the right of it. For both their sanities, maybe that was best. Aside from his confusion, Jason had felt better after both times he’d slept at Danny’s. Would it be so bad to, just for once in his life, not question things? Jason was unsure how much of this was his brain being muddled in Danny’s presence, but he agreed with a nod, and took a sip of coffee.
Oo o oO
Danny wanted to scream. He had made such a mess of things! All his good intentions and he’d gone and made things awkward anyways. It was a relief his guest was willing to just go with it after all.
And, Danny lamented, his guest had even spoken earlier today, like in a full sentence and now they were back at single words or nonverbal. Poor guy. It had to be so uncomfortable to wake up in a stranger’s bed. If only Danny had an easy way to give him straight ectoplasm, but then that might actually overwork his starved core and make everything worse. The slow absorption of Danny’s ambient energy, probably was best for him.
Half still lost in thought he took a cookie and promptly groaned in pleaures, it was perfect and there was no way he could keep his train of thought. It was crisp on outside and chewy in the middle, and the chocolate bits were so rich.
“You made these?” Danny exclaimed between heavenly bites and was rewarded with a quick shy smile and a glance of blue-green eyes. Fuck, why did Danny’s guest have to be both hot and cute? Life was so unfair.
But it seemed the ice had finally broken, and they were back to something comfortable.
Oo o oO
Later in his own apartment, Jason tried once again to make sense of things.
Facts. Jason woke up in Danny’s bed twice, it was likely to happen again.
Apparently Jason had needs. He shuddered at the thought, because what did that mean? But in a twisted way it also made sense, because he had woken up twice in that man’s bed through no conscious decision of his own. There was something about Danny that drew Jason to him and while it was kinda freaking him out, it was also kinda not. Which in itself was freaking him out if he allowed himself to think about it.
But another fact was that Jason felt better, lighter somehow, than… actually he didn’t really remember when he’d last felt so good. Maybe he really had just needed some proper sleep?
And Danny himself?
Jason had no idea what his deal was. It was very odd how accepting he was of the situation - he’d said it himself, this wasn’t socially normal no matter how you looked at it.
He was clearly not normal no matter how you looked at it. But neither was Jason really.
-
And this is the end of part 3.
They almost talked? They gotta get props for trying right?

Look i don't wanna sit here and get up on my soapbox and start being preachy but i just find it funny how certain sections of the fandom treats TB and by extension Ekko and how that ultimately just shows an underlying problem in shipping culture that honestly only seems to have gotten worse.
TB is such a impactful ship at least in my opinion because i feel as though this is one of the rare occasions where a ship staring a black character is not only loved and praised but also has a view in the mainstream. Most of the time black character when involved with shipping are either cast aside, mistreated or used as a stepping stone for the white character to find their "True Love" so to see TB be loved and praised is genuinely such a amazing and important thing to see and how some of this community reacts to them has shown me that despite this love there is still a major problem with Anti-Blackness.
Now I'm not saying that you have to ship TB or that your Anti-black/racist if you ship them with other characters but from some of the stuff i've seen it seems like its less about the fact that you don't like ship and more about the fact that you don't like Ekko and specifically you don't like Ekko with Jinx. The way some people try remove the importance Ekko has in Jinx's life at this point comes off a malicious. We have people out here describing Ekko as "some random black boy she knew" and it's like okay that's such a one layered look at their relationship and when he is granted the privilege of being apart of her life by some people his role is minimized and relegated to "oh well he is there and he was a small part of it but her ACTUAL motivation was...." and listen, you could make the argument that he wasn't the only thing that spurred her into action but to sit here and act like he didn't have a large impact on her and her subsequent call to action is just lame.
Now S2 in general can be looked at as the blame for why his impact is questioned by some people and i won't lie and not act like seeing them in a couple more scenes together wouldn't have been nice and just seeing Ekko in general more wouldn't have been nice but considering the fact that this community loves to analyze things to the bone i just find it a bit odd how apparently this specific relationship is looked at on such a surface level by some people. Ya'll will sit here and analyze eye movements but then call the bridge fight "just a cool scene" and ignore the weight and impact of it. Ya'll will sit here gush about this loving and deep connection Jinx forms with Isha who she's known for no less then 3 months but apparently her childhood befriend/enemy/crush/lover is just a open and shut book.
One thing that really bothers me as well and I'm gonna use Mel in this section is that her and Ekko are not allowed to be loved. What i mean by this is that the love that their respective partners have for them is always called into doubt. Jayce's love for Mel is doubted because "Well she manipulated him" and that she was just using him and Jinx's love for Ekko is doubted by "oh well she's to mentally unstable to feel that way towards him" and "she tried to kill him" as if a good 85% of the arcane cast hasn't tried to kill or at least physically harm the people they care about. Ekko and Mel are not allowed to be yearned after and loved by the two of the favs of the show despite the fact they are are in fact yearned and loved by these favs. Jinx is over here drawing hearts around this man every chance she gets, her voice lines in game towards him, drawing his symbol on her stuff. Jayce despite all the chaos automoically going to check on Mel and see if she's okay, his voice lines towards her in game and yet despite all this, some of the fandom just can't seem to fathom that their favs are in love with a black character.
Idk man, maybe I'm reading to deep into this all and maybe I'm just yelling into the void but i just find it odd how all these doubts and excuses and reasons for why it wouldn't work only seem to get brough up for ships that involve a black character and a usually white fav.

Ok, so I wanted to do a deeper dive into this particular passage of Good Omens:
Tumblr media
For context, this is at the climax of the book, they’re at Tadfield airbase, the horsemen have been dispensed with, Aziraphale has his body back, and Satan is about to claw his way out of the pit.
In most of the proceeding chapters involving Crowley it talks a lot about how scared Crowley is. He is very scared of Hell.
One could perhaps say maybe he is scared of them due to The Arrangement, but that is never explicitly stated. I think it has more to do with Hell is bad, and Crowley has spent the majority of the book being yelled at by some entity through the radio or TV telling him how he’s going to be in super amounts of trouble when they get their hands on him. He is just scared of what will happen. When he comes across the book shop burning he doesn’t cry for his lost friend. He curses Aziraphale, and I think it’s because the one person who may have been able to keep him safe and protected from Hell is now gone.
So when he thinks to himself (as shown in the above screen shot) that there is now nothing left for him to lose, this is why I never thought (upon reading the book the first time that is) there were any romantic feelings between him and Aziraphale. I know that technically he had already lost Aziraphale. But by this point he was back again, and back in his body. If there truly were romantic thoughts between them surely the idea of losing him again would come up.
I have read so much fanfiction, some old, some new, and what they all have in common is the detailed inner monologue of Crowley’s turmoil over his feelings for Aziraphale and how he doesn’t feel like he can act on them. In the book we get nothing of the sort, from either character. Even when they’re separated there is hardly ever any description of them thinking of the other except occasionally to frame a short reference to something. Reading the book I never got the impression that there was anything more than two ethereal beings spending time and proximity to each other and doing work for each other for no other reason than they’re essentially a bit lazy.
I think they’re only queer coded for the fact that there’s the line about Aziraphale appearing “gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitric oxide”, and Crowley is, well, very Freddie Mercury coded. Them being seen as gay together and all the gay slurs in the awful racist scenes of Aziraphale body hopping about in culturally indigenous people after the bookshop fire has more to do with the very typical 80’s/90’s trope of “being gay = comedy gold”, than them actually being together romantically.
I think the reason why they were shipped so much after the publication however is for the same reason we ship so many male couples (or female couple) in modern media, why we’ve always shipped them: because of the complete and horrid lack there of, of proper queer representation.
If you’ve ever seen the magnificent Russel T Davies TV series It’s a Sin, there is a wonderful scene where the character Ash starts a job in a school library and the headmaster asks him to go through all the books and find any book that has queer love scenes so they can be removed. Ash then gives a most beautiful and impassioned speech (albeit it turns out the speech is just in his head) of how there is nothing. Absolutely nothing. There is nothing to the point where they are nonexistent. They are invisible. They are not seen. (Or like, something to that effect. I tell you though, it’s bloody brilliant).
So I think that’s rather the point really. You have two iconic characters, albeit supporting bit characters practically, and I think a lot of our minds automatically get drawn to wanting to put them together because of the sheer lack of queer couples. People have been doing it for years from Frodo and Sam, to Harry Potter and Draco (or Ron I guess), to Sherlock and Watson (even before the Benedict Cumberbatch show. Also as an aside let’s not get into how obsessed people got about Sherlock Holmes back in the day when those books were first published. The obsession was the reason Doyle killed the character off the in first place, then after getting letters from people telling him they were literally going to kill themselves, the reasons why he resurrected him again. Don’t tell us that modern day nerds are weird and obsessive. We’ve ALWAYS been like this).
It’s for this reason why queer representation is so god damn important. Why I still support the idea of Good Omens season 3. Because regardless of how the characters were originally intending to be represented in the book, it’s very clear now that they are so much more than “Just friends”. And we NEED that! Whether you subscribe to the idea that they will be physically intimate with each other, the fact remains is they love each other. They love each other immensely. And that comes from years of Terry Pratchett (and the other guy) accepting that canon and telling fans that it’s true. Because Michael Sheen made a choice and held a belief about how he saw his character and then David Tennant followed suit. That literally tens of thousands of fanfiction writers have decided the same.
So that’s my take. I don’t think loving each other was ever intended that way in the book, but in the last 35 years their story has morphed into the ineffable husbands that we now know.
What are your thoughts? Have I rambled on long enough to make any sense? Do you agree? Have I missed something completely obvious and gotten it all wrong? Keen to hear thoughts.

So I just feel like sharing this other idea that’s been rattling through my brain, and blaming it on late night madness (even though it’s not, but telling myself that makes me feel a little better)
Anyways, so basically the whole concept stemmed from the idea of cross-faction ships having kids, secret or otherwise, and them being worried what Megatron might do when he finds out, only for Megatron to literally be unable to say shit about it because he too has a cross-faction secret kid that he’s not told anyone about
So uh, yeah. That’s the idea. Secret megop kid that was born presumably shortly after the war started out and the two had their divorce
Not really that different in overall concept from that skystar kid idea I had that one time. Well sort of, but whatever
Megatron definitely knows about the kid but I’m not sure Optimus does. I’m leaning on no for comedy purposes. Basically Megatron had the kid, and for one reason or another (whether it be he didn’t want to raise a kid, didn’t want to raise Optimus’ kid, didn’t want someone to exploit this potential weakness, didn’t want the kid involved in the Decepticons or war, or a mix of some or all), basically just yeeted the kid out of there as soon as possible. The Decepticons either never knew or it’s been so long they forgot about it or something
Don’t know what they’re doing now, but there just is a child of the leaders of the Autobot and Decepticon factions just running around, and no one knows
The main way I can see comedy/trouble brewing in this scenario is them deciding to join the Autobots and working with Optimus Prime’s team. So like, Megatron knows the kid is there, but can’t say that he knows them or how, or why he’s particularly concerned with this random Autobot’s well-being. Another layer to the situation would be if Optimus doesn’t know the kid is his, but they get along great and Optimus is like “you know this bot is like the son I never had” and the kid is like “wow Optimus is like the dad I never had”, all the while being unaware
Though I’m also debating the idea that Megatron also wouldn’t recognize the kid, since it’s presumably been millions of years since they last saw each other. He just knows he and Optimus have a kid somewhere. Though then the situation might become less comedy and more angst if he attacks the kid and only realizes afterwards that it’s his and he didn’t recognize them. Or maybe you could keep the comedy by having him too just be unaware when the kid is right next to him, potentially just in an alternate scenario where the kid joins the Decepticons instead
And yeah, I think that’s about it. One of these days I’m gonna have to actually make one of these fankids. I just have to figure out how to combine designs and such, particularly with the helms since the rest I can tweak for alt mode purposes
But how does one combine Megatron and Optimus’ helms in a satisfying way? Hmm

Hii! Well, I love byler and it's storyline will be so beautiful if they are endgame. I personally want to believe the "Mike liked Will in s2" thing, but since Millie said that she has a soft spot for the Snowball scene and Mike told El in s3 that he has never felt like this with anyone before plus Finn saying El was Mike's first crush, I think I doubt that
Personally, I do believe that Mike obviously had feelings for Will before S3, but him saying that doesn't really prove much if you go with Bylers' leading theory which is that Mike's trying to deny his feelings for Will or his sexuality at all during S3, right up until the very end which is when he really realises things. Meaning he would have said that in S3 before realising the depth of his feelings. I also have a full analysis post on that scene in the grocery store.
Millie saying that she has a 'soft spot' for the Snowball Scene also does not prove anything either. I believe that the actors can say anything they want about the ships they are involved in. For example, Noah obviously likes Byler because his character is in love with Mike, Finn can't really speak on Byler because it's not clear what his feelings are for Will yet and he can say he likes Mileven because that is what his character's relationship is atm.
Millie can say she has a 'soft spot' for the Snowball scene for many reasons. One could be that she had really good memories of filming it at the time - she was a young actress and didn't know Mileven's later fate. Another could be that she actually gave the suggestion to have Mike and El kiss because apparently the viewers would be annoyed if they didn't. Or another reason could in fact that she liked this scene because it was the last kind of scene she had where Mileven were actually good together?
It's funny because this scene originally was supposed to have (in the original script) Will looking at Mike while he was dancing with El, in order to hint at his feelings. But they chose not to do that in the end.
The words 'soft spot' in this context could also mean Millie has a strong attachment to the scene for sentimental purposes, even if it doesn't align with current preferences. For example, I could have a soft spot for Mileven's scenes in S1 despite me preferring Byler. I could have a soft spot for character in a show or book despite them turning out to be the villain. If that makes sense?
So, it could be that when she says she has a soft spot for the Snow ball scene, it means that despite the characters not ending up together in the end, she still feels a special affection or emotional connection to that moment between Mike and El. Or maybe I'm reading way too much into those words haaaaahahaha
As for the last thing, I don't think I need to tell you why Finn saying 'first crush' is really ummmmmm inch resting. They keep trying to push this puppy love thing on us, the viewers, to kind of diminish their relationship for us?? It's almost like they want us to not feel as betrayed when they break up because in Finn's words, they'll find happiness.

hey Pasta! I’m new to posting on AO3 and wanted to ask a veteran - I was inspired a LOT by you and TRT to start posting my own writing, and I noticed there’s an “inspired by” option. authors don’t find it weird when you reference them, right? like I would be flattered, but that’s just me :) is there any etiquette that I should be following or tips you have for new AO3 authors?
feel free to answer privately if you’d prefer! I hope you’re having a good brain day! 💕
HELLO FRIEND!
First I am SO so happy TRT could help inspire, I fucking love that, and it feels like a lovely way of keeping the chain going from the fic authors who help inspire me to start posting my stuff!
So I can only speak for me for the 'inspired by', but I have absolutely NO issue at all and I'm always super, super delighted when I get that AO3 email that says there's a new work inspired by mine! I can't think of any other authors I know who'd be weirded out by it either, if it helps. There's a reason that function exists on AO3. If in doubt you could ask of course, there's no harm in that either. But yeah at least for me I'm always incredibly flattered and happy that my work could inspire someone.
I'm also happy to share some AO3 tips and etiquette things I've learned over the years!
Etiquette Rules TM I've discovered:
Make sure you're only marking a fic as 'complete' when it's actually complete. Some folks are posting WIP and chapters and have it marked as complete because 'each chapter is done'.
Only tag your fic with things that are actually relevant. So even if there's a background ship that gets 1 line referencing it, I wouldn't tag that ship. You'll just upset the people who are (understandably) searching for that ship and read your fic only to find they get a single line.
No posting 'fic coming soon' or idea placeholders. I've seen this pop up more and more lately, and not only will it get your fic taken down, but it's considered a huge no-no in terms of AO3 etiquette.
This one is a little subjective, and you'll find a few debates about it, but generally speaking, the etiquette rule is that it's better to risk spoiling something if it means you're tagging the fic with relevant warnings and tropes, versus leaving an important tag out to keep things surprising. Examples might be pregnancy, main character death, or self harm. Not only are there people who are hunting for that type of fic (meaning you should be tagging it so they can find it) but it's usually considered rude to just let someone walk into that blind. If you really don't want to have any of those tags, use the 'Author Chose Not To Use Warnings' and then add a tag about how you're choosing not to tag things so that it won't spoil anything. Basically warn them that they could find anything inside the fic.
At the same time, don't blow the page up with 50k tags. That'll annoy people in the opposite direction. There's a fine balance. I generally tag: major relationhips and characters, the genre, major tropes (found family, slow burn, etc), any major triggers, and then a few flavor tags ('human disaster Matt Murdock'; 'watch me make up legal shit', etc). For anything smaller, if it's a trigger I just warn about it in the author's notes.
Do not link to anything like a Ko-Fi or Patreon or anything that involves money in the author's notes. Not only is it against the site rules but it's considered very bad etiquette.
Do not do not do not change your story's publication date after the fact to keep 'pushing' it to the front page, holy hell is that a big etiquette no-no.
Tips TM I've Learned:
Slashes between character names are for romance. & between the character names are for platonic relationships
Summaries can be a bitch to write, but try anyway! And whatever you do, do not put 'lol this is bad' or 'i suck at summaries'. I realize the self-deprecation makes it a little less scary, but you'll absolutely get less people reading (in part because if you imply you're bad, plenty of people will believe you and won't bother reading). Give people a brief sense of what's in the fic, or even a snippet from the fic itself!
Don't bother tracking Kudos-to-Hits too closely, especially as time goes on. Each reader can only leave a kudos once but every time they re-read, they add another hit to the counter.
Sometimes what does well and what doesn't isn't really logical. Over my years on AO3, I've seen fics that logically should do well (massive active fandom, popular ship, well written) have terrible numbers where fics that logically should do terribly (inactive small fandom, less popular ship, writing banged out in 30 seconds at 5 am) do amazing. So as you go forward, be prepared for occasional ???s in either direction.
The Tagging System is your friend, learn the tagging system, love the tagging system! The tagging system is both how the people who DO want to find your work will find it, AND how the people who do not want to read your fic can avoid it. As above, I've found that generally you want to tag the major characters, relationships, tropes, and triggers, because they are what people are either looking for (hooray! your target readership!) or avoiding (why would you want them to open your fic, see it's not what they want, and immediately back out?).
If you're writing your draft in AO3's text editor and saving it as a draft, PLEASE KNOW IT WILL EVENTUALLY DELETE AUTOMATICALLY, IT DOES NOT STAY THERE FOR MONTHS OR YEARS. Safer to write using something like ellipsus (what I use) or docs, or even your phone's note taking system.
Formatting is occasionally wonky when being transferred from one location (say, docs), to AO3's posting system. Always make sure to preview it before posting, to make sure all your italics and paragraph breaks haven't been fucked up. This is an issue that's been here for ages, we just deal with it at this point.
Those are the things I can think of off the top of my head, I hope they help! There's definitely a little bit of a learning curve when it comes to AO3 but it is SO worth it, there's nothing quite like it and it's been amazing as a writer to grow with it!

If you guys see me reblogging writings on Ichigo and Orihime's relationship which present contrasting opinions, such as some reblogs who veer towards the "they shouldn't have ended up together" side of the debate or some who veer towards "they are awesome actually and good to each other"...
Well it's because while I do ship it, I am interested in exploring the complexities of the ship itself and the characters involved in them. I am also very used to having multiple different interpretations of the same character in my mind, so I have different ways of seeing Ichigo and Orihime depending on my mood.
It is also one of the reasons why I normally say I am a RenRuki shipper first, IchiHime shipper second. I have always been more in love with RenRuki as a concept and supporting IchiHime always came as a side effect of that... because IchiHime was a ship I perceived as "being made for the straight fans" before I started actually watching Bleach fully instead of biting info off of clips on YouTube. Then I fell in love with the rendition of Orihime's weakness (she strikes a spot for me on the inside because I can relate a lot to the Not Wanting To Be A Burden But Messing Things Up Anyway Through Little Fault Of Your Own™ part of her character) and her resolve to stay close to Ichigo even if she is not always completely certain of everything he is doing (I also relate to that: I often support people without fully trusting them, not only because I crave their attention and care, but because I want to convince myself that People Are Good Actually™ and that This Time It Will Be Better™).
When I hopped on the Bleach train and also started reading the Manga I got a lot more on board with shipping IchiHime. There is a lot of potential there because as far as my interpretation of Ichigo and Orihime's character goes, I see them both as people who repress their true feelings. Though for different reasons: Ichigo because suppressing them aligns with his personal goal, which is becoming stronger no matter what others say and no matter who he has to work with in order to protect who he loves, and this entails looking fearless even when he is scared (though the boy would really benefit from talking openly about his trauma more); and Orihime because of her history with abuse, trauma for "causing her brother's death" (it was not your fault sweetie), feelings of low self worth due to not always being able to fully protect Ichigo even though she wants to, and due to the fact she has doubted him, and this is all stuff that she does not want others to see because she is ashamed that is how she feels.
Overall, I reject an overtly negative interpretation of their character and of their relationship. It is obvious they both care about each other. They simply go about it the wrong way sometimes, or end up being set back by personal flaws. Like a lot of relationships in real life which are not automatically doomed to failure.
I believe Ichigo and Orihime could be read as either
-being flawed towards each other and thusly not meant to be together/better off with someone else, and they secretly feel the same way but they don't want to recognize it: they are together for a sense of obligation towards each other and Orihime believes she has romantic feelings but there is more under the surface, Ichigo is unconvinced as well but he does not want to hurt her... It's a Friends to Reluctant Lovers
-being flawed and deciding to be with one another, treading the path to life together resolutely anyway, specifically BECAUSE they are aware of how flawed each other is, and they don't want to let it stop them, they don't find it an issue because they want to turn into reality the concept that their care for each CAN in time overwhelm inner conflict; and they do have romantic feelings for each other, they do not decide to enter a relationship because of obligation but because they have seen each other go through a lot since they were kids and slowly matured a deeper kind of understanding; it's a Friends to Self-Aware Lovers
I hope it is evident, the difference in the two perceptions of them I have. I really hope it is because I have a headache and I am hurrying so I fear not being able to express myself properly lulz
EDIT:
I have recently come up with a different perspective on IchiHime! As a queer platonic/queer relationship!!!! I have only now realized it fits perfectly! I have always had this headcanon that, if not bisexual and/or biromantic, Ichigo could be greyromantic/demiromantic/aroflux and/or greysexual/demisexual/aceflux. This makes the relationship he has with Orihime much more coherent! I think Kubo unintentionally wrote Ichigo this way. Since it is evident that Ichigo and Orihime had a kid and they are seen smiling together and being happy with their family life, I can only assume that Ichigo does not mind the concept and experience of romance and sex even if it is not a concept he always feels on his skin (as in, he is romance and sex favorable under the aroace umbrella), and so he feels good being in a relationship with Orihime even though she is the one who has the most intense romantic and sexual attraction amidst the two of them! Oh my gosh it makes perfect sense YESS I HAVE FIGURED IT OUT I HAVE CONNECTED THE DOTS-
So yeah I am pro-IchiHime and pro-RenRuki. I believe that even with the first interpretation of the ship, I wouldn't mind it. Who said ships had to be perfectly healthy lol
I am afraid it is not a very popular stance, because I see an awful lot of IchiRuki shippers around, but idgaf 😂 I am in a fandom space to have fun and ramble, and I have decided that that entails being open about the ships I like even in a fandom with ship wars. And to all those who do not ship IchiHime or hate it, ok! Cool! This is just my opinion and the way I see the characters! I do not hate IchiRuki, I just see them more as a mentor-mentee-godmother/father of my kids situation.
For people who are interested, but will not write me an ask (nobody interacts actively I swear to effing Soul King... no wait, sorry Soul King), I also ship:
-UlquiHime, for the angst, even though I also like to concoct AUs in which Ulquiorra survived though the Power Of Bullshittery™ and at the same time incarnates the meaning of his character (you know, Nihility coming undone upon the realization of Purpose Being Meaningful Actually™) without it being lost. Also to those who say it is "abuser x victim", no. Just. No. Don't bring this up in a conversation with me I will not resist gurgling like a turkey in human form
-GrimmIchi, because they are hot together. And because their characters make me crazy. Also for me it's an Ichigo Fell First and Harder situation... I usually see it done in reverse but maybe that's because I haven't read many fics. I suggest @murderlight fics if anyone is interested, Cat Dandy made me feel things~
-Ikkaku x Madarame, see above for the main reasons. Also I believe amongst these ships you will see listed here, they are probably the ones who have been together the longest as partners/friends and therefore are the most "stable" ship. Yes, the two followers of Wrecking Ball Zaraki™, I Want To Fight Everything That Still Breathes After I Bonk It With My Zanpakuto™ Zaraki, have the most stable relationship for me and I take no criticism for this opinion of mine lol
-GrimmNel, I cannot explain fully why except that the snark between those two would be fantastic to watch. Old married couple even though they have been together for little. I also already have in mind the weird way they got together. I want to believe Grimmjow initially was acting like Nel and Hallibel's wingman, believing that they wanted to be together and wanting them to be too busy kissing each other to wreck his shit in case he decided to try and become kind of Hueco Mundo, but Nel gradually revealed that the reason her and Hallibel were so much together is because Nel did not want to admit she had feelings for yet another blood knight and Hallibel was being HER wingman trying to convince her AND while trying not to snicker as Grimmjow tried to push Nel towards Hallibel, without noticing Nel's suppression of her crush not just for any blood knight but HIM. He would probably not return her attraction in the beginning but that is because I see him as demiromantic or reciproromantic. Demisexual as well. Is this explanation long? Yes. But idgaf I need to get this off my chest quiCKLY-
-Nnoitra x Nel, because I see them having more potential other than "abusive asshole x naive beauty". And because from what I understand Nnoitra is more of a Nel-hater than a woman-hater; but I digress. Not that he doesn't hold mysogynistic thoughts, there is evidence he does, but I believe it is because of transference of Nel's image on others. I also dig AUs in which he and she actually talk it out one way or another and do start behaving better towards each other. So the ship in that case is platonic mostly, with hints of sex. Yes ships can be platonic fight me. The chemistry is irresistible both before and after that point, no matter if it is platonic of romantic, idc what anyone says
-Urahara x Shinji, I don't think it's a popular ship and I believe they deserve to be more popular actually. I want to see fics with this ship rivaling the number of Urahara x Yoruichi out there. I live for the You Were One Of The Few Who Actually Stood By Us™
-Byakuya x Zaraki, again, snark done wonderfully by both characters. Also Zaraki is an unhinged mane of danger, while (from my understanding and interpretation of the panels where he trains when he is younger) Byakuya used to be on the way of becoming a bolt of danger as well but he put hinges on himself, so I like the idea of Zaraki managing to make Byakuya lose his shit one day. They also both keep their softer side deep inside, so there is potential for them relating to each other as well

will always find it so interesting how army made the "jk is a minimoni anti" joke about him being jealous over namjoon....
https://x.com/jklovesjoon/status/1870891537451950488
Oh my god, that video 😬 just… so corny and unfunny. My thing is, why wouldn’t they just make it a namjikook throuple thing - aren’t ARMYs all about poly-BTS? That’s why the ARMYs who make it about only n*mkook are so transparent to me… 👀
Anyways, imo one of the reasons for this is because there’s actually a lot of HL x JM/JK shippers in this fandom who feel a similar way about Jikook as tkkrs do (just not as extreme lol). Maybe 90% of the fandom are shippers & that also includes a lot of HL x ML shippers who operate like, well, shippers. It doesn’t really matter if they think their ship is real or not, it’s still pretty common to feel jealous/resentful when another “rival” ship is getting all the moments they want for their own ship - especially when a lot of BTS shippers are basically Y/N’s who heavily project onto one member of their ship while being infatuated with the other.
This is pretty common in shipping in general, tons of fictional ships have absolutely batshit insane fanwars so it wouldn’t surprise me if there were lots of non-serious BTS shippers who also got weird and dismissive about Jikook out of the same kind of petty jealousy that tkkrs feel. They don’t even have to be a shipper to feel that way tbh, some people are just really attached to the idea of their faves being the closest (and I’m not saying everyone who ships other pairings that involve JM/JK feel this way, plenty are normal and even like jkk, but there’s definitely a large enough group who are super weird about it…)
I think this is one of the reasons why so many Jikook moments get so heavily OT7-ified compared to other duos. The way that the fandom still refers to JK’s JM live as JK’s "BTS content" live is the biggest example of this to me, it’s actually insane. I remember the way the quotes were just full of people talking about how much JK “missed his hyungs” and how he’s “watching BTS content just like me!”. It felt like none of them even acknowledged that it was a Jimin teasing video either, the whole thing was pretty wild. It's sort of the same situation with AYS and the kinds of clips that would circulate ARMY spaces vs the ones that were noticeably absent.
Like, can you imagine how many ARMYs were probably a little bothered by JK saying that the AYS trips were the best of his life? - literally every brand of JK shipper + the really intense OT7 ARMYs who want to think that they’re only happy as seven and have no individuality outside of being a group, hopefully you know the sort of ARMYs I mean, obviously I know JK loves the group and I’m sure the next BV will be very meaningful.
Anyways, sorry for giving you such a long and serious answer to this lmao 😭 it’s a petty rant and not that big of a deal or anything, but it’s just kind of tiring the way this fandom is constantly downplaying jkks bond, picking it apart and making it about other members. It would be nice if they could just give jkk their flowers and celebrate their moments w/out so much obvious jealousy or whatever. And ofc I don’t care what other people ship or if someone wants to make that whole mini/moni thing about nmkook because they ship it, it’s just annoying that those people will pose as non-biased ARMYs and how all of that has really impacted the whole fandom climate & how jikook are treated/talked about. It’s definitely not the end of the world or anything, but it annoys me enough to rant about every now and then lol.
Also, ofc I know there’s plenty of cool non-jkkr ARMYs who do totally appreciate and hype Jikook!! Maybe even the majority of them are totally normal about it, it’s just that there's enough people who are like this that it’s noticeable and annoying.
I was talking about this with someone the other day but - I’m not sure if you know what a “NOTP” is - I’m pretty sure Jikook make up the majority of NOTPs in the fandom lol.

A chronological analysis on Twilight and Yor - Part 20
*This is part of an ongoing post series. If you missed the Introduction/Part 1, click here*
----------
After Yor meets Yuri on the train, she's reminded of the fact that he's "all grown up" and doesn't need her to take care of him anymore.
Tumblr media
As I described in Part 8, earning enough money to support Yuri was the main reason Yor became an assassin. Since she didn't have the luxury to pursue anything worthwhile for herself, taking care of and being useful to others became her main focus in life. But since Loid and Anya don't benefit from her assassin work, and now Yuri doesn't either, she begins wondering why she needs to continue doing it. This question is reinforced a few times later: first, when they're on the train and she realizes how much she enjoys being with Loid and Anya as a family, without having to worry about work. And again, during her initial meeting with Olka.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Olka tells her that she wants to get away from the dangerous life of a gangster to a peaceful, quiet life, Yor takes a moment to reflect on those words, as they were the same thoughts she had on the train earlier – thoughts of what it would be like to live a normal life with your family without all the fears and dangers that come along with being involved in the underworld.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Olka asks Yor why she's so worried about her family discovering her identity since they're just a cover-up family, which leads to a softly emphasized scene of Yor with a noticeably sad expression, as she reluctantly admits that, yes, they are a family just for show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We know from previous episodes, like the cooking lesson and post-Fiona date, that Yor has since realized that being in the Forger family makes her happy, despite the fact that they're a "fake" family. However, she doesn't know if Loid and Anya feel the same way, especially Loid. For all she knows, he's letting her live with him as his wife more as a favor to her, and because it's convenient for their front at Eden, and not because he personally finds happiness in the arrangement. While he did tell her during their previous date that he wants her to continue playing the role of Anya's mother and his wife, Yor doesn't know whether he feels the same happiness being together as a family like she does.
Yor becomes even more motivated to help Olka when the latter mentions that she's left so much of her old life behind her now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Perhaps her eagerness to help Olka comes from her sad resignation to the fact that she herself can't attain the kind of life Olka is heading towards, so at the very least, she wants to make sure Olka can attain it.
Meanwhile, we see just how much Twilight's spy work has "traumatized" him, to the point of being on total high alert on the ship even though Sylvia specifically ordered him to relax. Not only was he immediately suspicious of the lottery for the cruise ticket, but even after he's on the ship, his ever-calculating mind can't help but imagine the worst scenarios. He begins looking out for any signs of terrorism and dubious behavior, much to Anya's dismay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, thanks to her coaxing, he catches himself and makes a conscious effort to turn off the "spy mode" in his brain (as much as he can anyway).
Tumblr media
Later, we see Yor being nervous when having dinner with the executives, obviously not comfortable in such a formal situation and still afraid that she'll be spotted by Loid and Anya. However, when given a task she knows best – assassination work – we get to see a side of Yor that has yet to be fully highlighted in the series…a side that's serious and confident, without her usual doubts and hesitations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her social awkwardness and uncertainties disappear as she takes on a total "in-charge" demeanor when guiding Olka and company back to the room. But Olka has spent enough time with the underworld crowd to see that, while Yor is very good at her work, it doesn't suit the sweet, gentle person that she really is. Even before the real danger starts, Olka tells her that she doesn't seem like the underworld type, and even suggests that she spend time with her family when the ship stops at the resort. Olka must have sensed from Yor's hesitation and sad expression in their previous conversation that she truly cares about them.
Tumblr media
It's unfortunate that Yor doesn't have a permanent confidant like Olka – someone who not only knows her true identity as an assassin, but also senses that she has real feelings for what should be a "fake" family…and is supportive of that in her own subtle way. Twilight has Franky, and Sylvia somewhat, as people who know him as both a spy and as a (fake) family man. But even though they're not openly supportive of the fact that he's catching feelings for his family, they're still people he can not only confide in without having to hide his true identity, but they care about Anya's well being too. Yor doesn't have anyone like that. While Shopkeeper and McMahon know her true identity, her relationship with them seems to be strictly business. So, as brief as her time with Olka is, it was good for Yor to finally converse with someone who understands her inner feelings that she herself is having trouble realizing.
While Anya and Twilight are having dinner later, Anya mentions that it's been a while since they've eaten dinner without Yor, to which Twilight comments that it does seem lonely without her. He could have replied with any number of less melancholic responses ("It does feel weird" or "She must be very busy" to name a few). So the fact that his first thought was how lonely it felt does seem to indicate a momentary lapse in his spy facade, to which Anya rightfully calls him out and he immediately tries to deny it (with a slight but telling blush).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When they visit the gift shop, we see that Twilight is still having trouble learning how to find enjoyment on the trip, despite the fact that Sylvia made it an official mission. It's tragic to think that even when given orders to have a relaxing family vacation, he simply can't turn off the suspicions and anxiety in his mind. But his anxiousness about people potentially eavesdropping on him soon changes to concern about Anya's mental health. Similar to when he took her to work and had her play in the sandbox, he completely misinterprets her actions as displays of emotional trauma.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the interpretation from @sunfoxfic about this side of Twilight's character, to quote:
"His trauma really grounds every action he takes - everything he does is to protect others from experiencing the same trauma. Loid is a highly pragmatic and sympathetic man, and in that way, he's unwaveringly kind to everyone but himself."
Just like the sandbox incident, the scene with Anya at the gift shop is a prime example of Twilight's empathetic side that he keeps hidden from everyone else. Only we as the audience know how much he agonizes about the well-being of those who may have experienced similar trauma as he did. Since Anya's reactions make no sense to him, he can't help but conclude that she has her own share of deep-rooted trauma as well. And, as I've reiterated many times before, rather than express anger or blame her for anything, he puts responsibility on himself to do a better job at trying to understand her. And all of this relates back to what he told Desmond during their first encounter…that he won't stop trying to understand others.
While Yor is keeping watch that night, she has plenty of time to reflect on what happened the day before. As she sits there for hours in silence, we see that her expression has taken on the "robotic" look she had at the very beginning of the series "pre-family," back when her assassination work was all she focused on in her life. This is probably the longest amount of time she's had to continually concentrate on work since meeting Loid and Anya, so it makes sense that her eyes would start to harden like that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, when she realizes that she never tried to contact them, her eyes immediately light up as she imagines a scenario where she meets up with them on the ship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She then starts to wonder why she was hesitating so much when fighting Barnaby. She thinks it could be because she was afraid, not of death or pain, but the fact that if she had gotten seriously injured, she may have had to leave the Forger family. This makes her think back to when Olka asked her why she was so concerned about them since they're just a cover-up family. As I've previously mentioned, Yor has come to realize that being with Loid and Anya makes her happy, but she's also resigned herself to the fact that that happiness can be taken away from her at any minute. So far the biggest threat to her place in the Forgers has been Fiona, but she was able to remedy that by talking with Loid. But this time the threat comes from something where talking isn't an option: an important job from Garden. This is why she tells herself that she needs to keep her priorities straight – as far as she's concerned, her personal happiness is secondary compared to the importance of the job at hand. As she continues to think about the people whose happiness she strives for – Yuri, Loid, and Anya – the same thought she had upon meeting Yuri on the train comes back to her…if none of the people she loves benefit from her assassin work, then why does she need to keep it up?

Anti-destiel Wank (sorry but I have to)
If you hardcore ship Destiel, please just scroll on by. Please.
Ok, I'm gonna get myself in trouble, I'm sure, but I gotta get this off my chest...
Destiel may be a perfectly fine ship,
but,
IT'S JUST A SHIP.
In the actual context of the show there IS NO ROMANTIC OR SEXUAL TENSION/RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DEAN AND CAS.*
Full fucking stop.
Subtext can be interpreted in ANY WAY YOU WANT. It is subjective. You will find whatever you look for in it. Please stop waving subtext interpretations around as if they were objective facts, they aren't. Subtext, by its very definition, relies on implied meaning and understanding, this means it is a subjective interpretation of the media that varies from viewer to viewer. The inherent variations are what make it fanon/headcanon instead of canon.
If you see tension of that sort there and it makes you happy to postulate the what if, then go ahead, that is what fanon and head canon and fan fiction is all about. But if the fact that the tension you think you see isn't being addressed in actual canon makes you grumpy, maybe you need to take some of the fanatic out of your fanning. If you are beginning to think the show creators are actively trying to repress Dean's "true sexuality and feelings" because they are evil, you might need to consider that you've dug in too deep.
Because, like I ship wincest. Yeah, I said it. But I am aware that canon doesn't actually include any level of sexual or romantic (in the modern sense) relationship between Sam and Dean. Wincest is not canon.
Now, are Sam and Dean the real "love" story of the show? Yes, yes they are. That has always been 100% the entire point of Supernatural, the great love story of two brothers struggling to save the world together. It's about family and everything that means, but at its heart, it is about Sam and Dean WInchester. Not all kisses and cuddles and sex kind of love, but love nonetheless. Full stop.
Now, the fact that Destiel is such a popular ship is not surprising to me in the least. Jensen and Misha are two gorgeous guys who share a lot of chemistry on screen and off. And, it is canon that Cas loves Dean. That has been evident since Lazarus Rising (4x01) when Cas was introduced. Castiel's love of Dean Winchester has been his character's main motivation all along and culminated with Cas sacrificing himself to save Dean, after telling him that he loved him in Despair (15x18)
But Dean's main motivation has always been to watch out for his brother. And though Castiel became Dean's best friend, he still comes second to Sam. Nothing against Cas, he just isn't Sam.
So why are so many people so absolutely convinced that Destiel is so real within the context of the story?
Well, I'm pretty sure that it is the same reason that they are so opposed to the idea of wincest.
As we all know, incest is bad, mmmkay? Incest is probably one of the biggest, strongest, cultural taboos we have. So it makes perfect sense that the idea of two blood-related brothers having sexual or romantic feelings for each other is considered icky. It's so off putting that it is a complete no go for even fantasizing about for most people. And that's probably a good thing, tbh, incest should be taboo. But where does that taboo spring from? Why is it so deeply off limits? There are several reasons, but the two main ones are:
That incest can lead to inbreeding.
That incest too often involves molestation or rape of children.
Both of these are seriously bad enough that we all pretty much collectively agree to avoid incestuous relationships. But, do either of these two reasons really apply in the case of Sam and Dean?
The short answer is no. Primarily this is because they are fictional characters that are being played by unrelated actors. But to humor the objectors we'll look at it closer.
We can take the first one right off the table. As two cis men, neither of them is capable of becoming pregnant, so outside of the mpreg (male pregnancy) or gender bending subsets of fanfic tropes, this is not applicable.
The second reason only becomes an issue when talking about the characters earlier in their lives, pre-show or flashbacks. Weecest or teencest, or whatever, are things, but these typically have separate ship names for a reason, because even when dealing with fictional characters this squicks a lot of folks who are otherwise down with the wincest ship. So most content is tagged or labeled as its specific flavor, so anyone can find it or avoid it. But wincest that involves adult Sam and Dean (the specific pairing I'm referring to in this post) doesn't apply to the second reason listed above.
So there really is nothing morally wrong with Sam and Dean having sex with each other. I know that statement is going to bother a whole lot of people, but it is true. Just because something is taboo does not automatically make it morally wrong. Being gay used to be taboo in our culture, and is still taboo for way too many people, even though there is nothing morally wrong with homosexuality.
Now, I wasn't in the fandom back at the beginning of the show, but I've heard tell that the very first Sam/Dean fic was posted just a few hours after the pilot episode aired. A few hours, that's all it took for some highly motivated fan to type out a story where they were more than just brothers. The story is called Reunion. If you watch the pilot, even with your anti-incest goggles on, the chemistry between Jared and Jensen is palpable throughout. There is a reason the show lasted for 15 years, and that reason is that Sam and Dean just work on screen so well together. So if it only took one episode for that ship to be born, what did all the future destiel shippers do? Well I imagine they felt somewhat uncomfortable for the first 60 episodes.
Flash forward to season four and the introduction of Castiel. Finally there was another male character for fans squicked by the notion of sweet, sweet brother loving to focus on! Cas was clearly fixated on Dean more than Sam, which followed the plot since Cas had been instructed to rescue Dean from Hell. As it would turn out, the brothers were destined to be the meatsuits that Michael and Lucifer wore to the big prize fight to determine the fate of the world. Prepping Sam for Lucifer involved him consuming demon blood, which made most of the angelic host view him as an abomination, a factor that Cas had to learn to get past in his relationship with the younger brother. But Dean was ready to go right out of the box, no assembly required for Michael. Castiel, and many of his angelic brethren, as well as a lot of Demons, seem to be drawn to Dean in a way that they just aren't drawn to Sam. Is this fair? Hell no. But I mean, look at him! Jensen has sexual tension with literally everything he comes in contact with, people, food, his car, the man oozes sexual attraction. Don't get me wrong, Jared is a sexy fucking ball of sunshine, and our Sammy is a damned attractive man, but he tends to be more repressed and less openly sexual than his brother, so it is what it is.
Where was I going with this? That's a good question. I got a bit distracted, sorry. Oh right...
At its root, destiel is a reactive projection. There is undeniable tension between characters in the show. Since all of the main cast are male, that tension is highly homoerotic. The two main characters, who are undeniably emotionally enmeshed and co-dependent with each other (a very well established canon fact btw), happen to be blood-related brothers. Oh no! Where is all that tension coming from since we cannot admit or accept that it's coming from them? Ah ha! Here is a new male character that we like, yes, it is obviously coming from his interactions with one of the brothers, even though he wasn't in the first 60 episodes. Yes, it all makes perfect sense now, all that tension was merely foreshadowing.
Tumblr media
I've read through all the destiel subtext posts. I've gone back and watched all the scenes they reference multiple times with the express purpose of finding destiel. I'm telling you it is just a fanon ship. Which is 100% fine and good, ship that ship, just stop declaring it more canon than canon, because it's not.
And if you don't like fictional incest, cool, cool, you don't have to. But the underlying sexual tension existed in the first 60 episodes prior to Misha being cast on the show, so it was coming from somewhere. And it'd be cooler if you learned how to scroll past people shipping wincest, like I'm sure you do for all the other weirdass, squicky shit that people post all over the internet. But if it makes your heart beat a little faster to imagine that Dean and Cas have eyesex but that Dean and Sam don't, that's fine. I think it's delusional because neither ship is actually canon and both are 100% A-Ok in fanon, and honestly Jensen doesn't seem to be able to control his eyes, which is not something anyone should feel bad about (it's fucking marvelous) but you do you.
*Castiel does love Dean. He confessed as much, but Dean did not reciprocate. What I am referencing is a mutual romance or attraction, which does not exist.

You're the only Les Mis blog whose Valvert takes I trust🙏 We, as a fandom, have had enough of Javert bashing already, so I just appreciate the Javert appreciation here.
oh man, that’s a heck of a compliment, thank you!! i would love to be remembered always as a blog to go to if you want a safe space for javert, valjean, and the old men together 💓
to be honest, the main reason i wanted a blog to post silly les mis things is because i got soooooooo tired by a lot of the posts out there that were like…
so wildly, disproportionately hateful toward javert (i still haven’t forgotten the ones that would randomly pop up in the main javert tag to talk about chopping him into pieces!!!!)
had such flat and one-note takes about valjean (“he’s so flawless and saintly and perfect and never does anything wrong ever ever ever uwu 🥺”), that are not only out of character and disingenuous, but they’re just straight up boring, and preclude any further character development or story arcs
only discussed valvert if it was like… javert one-sidedly obsessed with and devoted to valjean. but where are valjean’s affections and desires in that? doesn’t jean valjean, of all people, love the person he’s with too? shouldn’t a ship about two middle-aged men finding love later in life involve… both of them, and their wants and desires, not just javert basking in some scraps valjean throws his way? how is valjean punishing himself to be with javert or javert subsisting off morsels of affection like, a good dynamic for either of them? like toxic yaoi has its place for sure!! but it’s not really valvert’s vibe outside of lm98 or, you know, a darker fic AU.
so anyway, i kept thinking “i could just make the kind of valvert posts i want to see” and eventually just put them here 😊
and honestly everyone who interacts with these posts usually leaves such great comments and tags, and really helps to bring a lot of fun and positivity to valvert together, as well as javert and valjean individually, and it really does help, like… okay there may still be hateful posts in this fandom—what can you do, eh? but it’s good to know and be reminded that there are fans who just want the old men to Both be happy and in love.

Everytime we see someone on some social media (ahem, Twitter) telling a proshipper to kill themselves, we want to just scream. We've had to stop ourselves from making a tweet saying "Stop confusing proshipping with com/dark shipping" but we KNOW our Twitter mutuals would get so mad.
"Well the internet says proshipping is about pedophilia and rape and-"
You are looking at biased sources. You are not taking the time to talk to actual proshippers to know what the term actually means.
Proshipping, means "For Shipping" and against harassment. That's all proshipping means. The "Pro" in proshipping does not mean problematic, it means pro as in "for something", like how con is " for against something". Did we all forget that we made those pros and cons charts in school?
Antis will never not get com/dark shipping confused with proshipping, and it's so ironically incredible to watch them stick their head in that echo chamber and ignore when we try to explain they refer to the wrong term and the right terms. Antis basically act in the same way that M4G4 and Fl4t-E4rthers do, ignoring everything if it doesn't fit their world view.
Not all proshippers are com/dark shippers.
Not all com/dark shippers are proshippers.
Proshippers can literally dislike shipping problematic stuff. They can literally hate shipping those bad things like pedophilia, rape, etc.
The reason why proshippers are so kind to others and welcoming, is because that's the entire fucking basis of their ideology. If a proshipper harasses you or insults you, then guess what, that's not a proshipper. That's a person misusing the term.
If you really feel the need to tell a proshipper or comshipper or darkshipper that what they're doing is wrong in your eyes, then actually take the time to talk with them. Do not insult them. Do not threaten them. Do not wish death apon them. When you insult and attack them, you aren't doing anything for either side, you make everything worse.
Also, stop mixing up pedophilia with child predators.
Pedophilia, is someone who loves children. This is a MENTAL ILLNESS.
Child Predator, while is most likely a pedophile, actually harms children. THIS IS A CRIME.
Pedophilia is a mental illness that must be treated, that's why the terms "Pro-Recovery", "Pro-Therapy", "Anti-Contact" exist, because these people need that help, they know it's wrong to think and feel that way.
Pedophiles aren't inherently child predators. Like how people with BPD aren't inherently abusers, psychopaths aren't inherently killers, etc.
Anti's mighty as well start calling proshippers Child Predators. Though, we personally are against accusing people of heinous crimes with no evidence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If we want to go down the literature argument, then "-philia" just means "love". What type of love does that refer to? Sensual? Romantic? Sexual? Platonic? Familial?
"denoting fondness, especially an abnormal love for a specified thing.
denoting undue inclination."
Further back to ancient Greece:
Philia is one of the four ancient Greek words for love, and means friendship.
Philia (/ˈfɪliə/; from Ancient Greek φιλία (philía)) is one of the four ancient Greek words for love: philia, storge, agape and eros. In Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, philia is usually translated as "friendship" or affection.[1] The complete opposite is called a phobia.
The characteristics of Philia involve Loyalty, Shared Values, and was Non-Sexual.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you think someone is a pedophilie, then find a way to get them help or give them advice instead of telling them to kill themselves. You wouldn't tell a person with BPD or Psychosis to end their life, would you? It's a mental disorder that desperately needs treatment, but when you tell them to harm themselves, you are making everything worse.
You are no saint. You are not morally superior. You are not better than anyone.
You have the option to either turn away, talk, or offer help. Yet you chose to harass and vilify people.

wttcsms wags blind bag, one shot collection ;
Tumblr media
about poking fun at blind items & wanting to explore wag culture (and also looking for any reason to write about hot anime athletes), this fic collection's theme is inspired by/based off of... well, blind items about wags!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you're what i wanna love on, shugo meian
at the height of peak stardom, you're not just japan's pop princess — you're everyone's. with it comes controversy; your infamously short dresses, the late night parties you attend after every concert, your outrageously expensive concert tickets and merch, your racy performances that have concerned mothers going on social media saying you're a bad influence. adding to your list of typical pop star transgressions, you also have a hot, successful, wildly successful and just barely controversially older boyfriend!
Tumblr media
but it would've been fun (if you could've been the one), tooru oikawa
from high school rivals to long-distance college sweethearts to perhaps the couple that got eloped way too early, it's no surprise that you and oikawa end up divorcing soon after getting married. while in your case it seems like love might be a losing game, you and oikawa both only play to win. when the olympics brings you two together once more, there's a good chance you two can reconcile and get your relationship back and better than it was before — or, go down with this sinking ship. with either outcome, at least you two are doing it together.
Tumblr media
something to lose, shoyo hinata
heartbroken, jaded, and convinced that all men are garbage, you don't plan on anything happening when you're invited to an after party for a profession volleyball team in order to boost said team's publicity. you don't plan on making any friends or meaningful connections, and you certainly don't plan on getting the number of one of their star player's, shoyo hinata. then again, a lot of things don't go as planned when he's involved, and you don't expect yourself to be happy about these turns of event, but for once you are; happy, that is. and it's all his fault.
Tumblr media
easy like sunday morning, wakatoshi ushijima
wakatoshi ushijima is notorious for his devotion to two things: volleyball and his family. during his post-game interview where he's been away from home for nearly two months, interviewers are asking him if he's excited to attend the rowdy after party to celebrate. ushijima's answer? he's taking a flight directly after this interview to head back home. he plans on celebrating the only way he knows how to: by finally being able to tuck in his sweet kids to bed, and then show his beloved wife how much he's missed her.
Tumblr media
it's the same damn thing that made my heart surrender, koutarou bokuto
before he gets scouted by the msby black jackals and becomes one of japan's most famous athletes of all time, he's a struggling athlete trying his hardest to get a contract. during the off-season for recruiting, he decides to make some extra cash by using his looks and charms to become a contestant on a reality dating show, where he meets you: beautiful, intelligent, ambitious you, who is so clearly out of the league for anyone. you adore him, and you two have the strongest connection out of everyone on the show, so when he ends up picking someone who's not you, you're shocked. you don't know that he thinks he's doing you a favor because he believes he'll only ever hold you back. when the show invites you two for a reunion episode special, bokuto can only hope your feelings haven't changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
burn out season, michael kaiser
what do you do when suffer a potential career-ending injury? hopefully not get diagnosed with depression, find out that because you devoted your whole life to your sport, you now have no sense of what to do without it, and then realize the only person who really Gets You is the only person who can irritate you like no one else does. hopefully you don't start to spend your newfound free time with him, and hopefully, you don't start to experience all the fun firsts in your life because of him and with him. or, maybe hopefully you do.
Tumblr media
life could be a dream, yoichi isagi
getting together was no easy feat, and yoichi wants to show you how happy he is that you're his. he showers you with presents, shows you off at any given chance, always has a hand on the small of your back or around your waist. his possessive streak only grows when he finally slips that expensive engagement ring on your finger, and he shows you just how good married life is going to be for you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i was supposed to sweat you out, michael beckenbauer
michael beckenbauer doesn't give a shit about japan, or the other subpar racers who have the nerve to get behind the wheel of the cars just to lose by a wide margin to him, or about how he's perceived by the media. he just wants to finish out this season, return home, and maybe find some worthy competition. he doesn't care if it's your job to try to brighten up his image; he never asked for a publicist, and in typical michael fashion, he's going to go out of his way to get you to quit. he has a bad tendency to underestimate his opponents, though, and off the track, you just might be his worthiest competition yet.

Pre-Fluffy January bonus fill - mainly because I’ll be swiftly pretending I was never tempted to write this the second it’s posted.
@dancerinthestorm I'm almost tempted to apologise to you for this, but it's your doing so instead I'll settle for blame-shirking 💜
So this little experiment does need to come with a big fat disclaimer. I cannot imagine any CTW-faithful AU where Theo would fall for Beckett. So I had to do some…fiddling to conjure some enthusiasm on her part, if only so that this didn’t venture towards territory akin to dubious consent (though it’s SFW!) — the only way I could reason with that is inventing a version of Theo where basically nobody bothered to really have her back since she crash-landed in the POTC universe, and toying with what sort of person that series of events might turn her into, even if it’s just a slightly different version to the “real” her. I think she’d eventually very much take a stance of “fuck it, everybody else is doing what they have to do in order to get by, the only thing I can do is the same”. Unfortunately for all involved, in this little “what if”, that thing is Beckett.
~*~*~*~*~*~
In the grand scheme of things, falling in with Beckett might not have been her best idea. Though, Theo supposed, it was a little better than falling out with him. For now. That fact would change when he met a fiery, cannon-laden death at the hands of the pirates, but she just had to hope that she’d earned enough goodwill with Jack that he’d vouch for her if and when the time came to face that fact. Though if she was still stuck in this time for that, relying on Groves to drag her with him when it came time to abandon ship at the end of the third movie would be the least of her troubles.
The reality simply was that there’d been little else to do. Nobody went to Beckett because they had a wealth of other options. Having forged no real bonds here with anybody other than Jack, and having failed to get to the Pearl in time when he made his escape, trading her knowledge for her life was not just the only wise choice, but the only choice at all. In the early days, she’d tempered guilt with the fact that any other in this story would’ve done the same. Now maybe the more alarming part was that there wasn’t much guilt left to temper. She was just…used to it. Used to him. She’d had little choice in that, either, given his insistence that she remained by his side as much as possible, ready to consult at a moment’s notice.
At first, it was a nauseating experience. Beckett worked morning, noon, and night, and so she was expected to be around him for all of that time, too - dressed in garb he deemed suitable, so it wouldn’t look like he was carting around a little Irish street urchin (his own words) to any who deemed it prudent to visit. The clothes weren’t too bad. Sure, it felt even more like a costume than any of the gowns she’d first worn since arriving here, and she was pretty sure she’d been deemed his mistress, given their largely unchaperoned nature and the fact that Beckett didn’t want any knowing the true reason behind her presence, but it was what it was. What was the risk of it? No fine man here wanting to marry her? She’d find a way to live with that.
No, what got to her was the silence. Unused to him as she was, she’d never quite been able to gauge when it was sinister, and when it was simply silence - finding too often that when she thought it was one, it was the other. He was an expert at latching onto words spoken thoughtlessly, following them up with questions, and drawing his own conclusions from them. But that faded over time. Maybe he got whatever answers he wanted, maybe he was finally satisfied that she truly had no noble aims beyond self preservation. Were it the latter, maybe he respected that. Or at least accepted it. Eventually, the thinly veiled interrogations in response to whatever she’d said shifted to dry remarks, most of them snide, but at least those made her laugh. And allowed her to snipe back. He’d either ignore or smirk nastily when she snapped, but it appeared he had no idea how to respond to the laughter. Which only encouraged her.
But when the silence stopped being stifling, it became boring. And that didn’t seem like it was in any rush to fade as the discomfort had.
As always, she sat on a plush sofa angled perfectly within view of his desk, often affording her the opportunity to ignore his eyes boring into her as she toyed with whatever ridiculous silks she’d been bundled into by a maid of his employ that morning. Today, those silks were sapphire blue, the heel of the matching slippers tapping errantly against the rug beneath her feet as she clicked her tongue along to some vague tune. The tune had started off as an attempt at In the Hall of the Mountain King, but once the tempo picked up it was a challenge to keep up - a challenge she was readily taking on, given the pointed sighs it was prying out of her “host”.
Her tongue was beginning to grow tired when he finally responded.
“Stop that.”
“I’m bored.”
“I seem to remember your bestowing upon me a hefty monologue that extolled the virtues of boredom for the mind, bemoaned the lack of it in your home, concluded with the phrase only boring people are bored.”
“Yeah. Well. I take it all back.”
He gave a puff of annoyance. But it hadn’t much had a chance to settle before she turned her head, tilting it at him.
“You seem to remember a lot of what I say.”
His lips thinned. “Some of it may prove useful.”
There was no ignoring the fact that his tone made it very clear that, by ‘some of it’, he meant ‘a microscopic amount’.
“I see.”
Her tongue-clicking resumed, now it’d gotten a rise out of him, but he put a halt to it quickly.
“If you continue thus, I shall have you put in the cells.”
“But then you’ll be bored. Without me here.”
That earned her another thinning of his lips. Which was strange, really, because usually when she set out to be a nuisance, it earned her scathing looks or condescending smirks. Maybe she’d hit closer to the mark than she’d intended, but she didn’t know whether he was displeased at the joke, or because perhaps it was true. More than that, she didn’t know how she felt about it, either.
A few weeks ago, she’d had a realisation. A terrible one, too. One that had struck her as she considered just about the only other role she’d seen his alternate universe doppelganger in - as Mr Collins in the more recent adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. The pondering had come as the result of a stupid thought, that she found it funny to consider how Elizabeth and he might react if either of them saw that film, featuring people wearing their faces, one awkwardly trying to flirt with the other. Stupidly, she’d then pondered the face that the styling in that movie hadn’t quite done him justice, going out of its way to make him unattractive. Which led to a notion that wasn’t funny in the slightest, not to her anyway. Beckett was not an ugly man.
Sure, his personality made it difficult to notice that fact at the best of times, but he wasn’t ugly. The trouble mostly came when the personality no longer felt like the glaring hindrance it had been, and she had to scold herself into remembering whose side she was on. But whose side was that, exactly? Jack had left her here. As had Elizabeth, when she made her escape. And Norrington decided she’d stopped being his responsibility from the moment she’d been deposited from the Interceptor into the care of the local church, way back when she first arrived in Port Royal. Beckett was, objectively, a dick. That much was just a fact. But for now, he had use for her, and so she was relatively safe here, and he wasn’t cruel, though only because she’d given him no reason to be. And given that his use for her wouldn’t run out until he was dead, she could at least kinda sorta rest easy for now. So long as she wasn’t a complete idiot.
The main source of trouble came when his personality stopped being as much of a roadblock as it had once been. When she found herself merely rolling her eyes at his snide comments rather than actually getting annoyed, or even stifling quiet snorts at things he said to whatever poor soul was unlucky enough to find reason to visit his office. Most of it was insufferable, sure, but some of it - unfortunately - also happened to be funny. And the dry, knwoing looks they sometimes shared when somebody especially stupid swaggered out of the office as though just having won a great victory? Those were especially dangerous.
Stockholm Syndrome wasn’t a term that had been coined just yet, but Beckett Syndrome didn’t have quite the same ring to it, nor Port Royal Syndrome. It made sense, she reasoned, that her mind was subconsciously aligning her with the one person who currently had the power to keep her alive for the foreseeable future. Though it made rather less sense when reason pointed out to her that if he was not the one keeping her alive, he would be the one to kill her. Regardless, it made sense that she should lodge herself within his good books. It just made rather less sense that he was slowly worming his way into hers.
After her joke, he was silent. What would typically be the final hours of their shared day ticked by, devoid of jabs or comments at all of any kind. And was she imagining things when she thought that even the scratch of his quill had slowed a little? Pausing more often than usual, for longer than usual, and even faltering, followed by the harsh scratch of words being crossed out. The only interruption came when, with the sun disappearing beyond the horizon, a maid bustled in and silently lit the tapers dotted around the room before leaving as quickly as she’d come.
With a sigh, he finally cast the quill away and leaned back in his chair. Theo turned her head to him, waiting for his usual dismissal of ‘go’. It didn’t come, instead he watched her silently. When he rose, he rounded the desk and then joined her on the sofa.
“What are you doing?” she blinked.
“Testing the virtues of boredom,” he responded flatly, depositing his hat upon the end table and leaning back.
Even without the corset, Theo would’ve remained how she was, back ramrod straight, hands clasped tightly among her skirts. But when she felt his gaze boring into her, this time at close range, she couldn’t help but turn her head and stare back. Being wise didn’t mean being an absolute wetwipe. In fact, displaying such weakness to her “host” would be distinctly unwise…or so she told herself as she bore his unreadable look in bemusement.
“Answer my question,” he said - and she resisted the urge to point out the absurdity of the order preceding the question itself, “are you considered so strange? Where you come from?”
“Excuse me?”
“Don’t bore us both by pretending not to be flattered by the word,” he rolled his eyes. “The very thing you fear most is being considered ordinary, much as you play at considering yourself thus.”
Theo scoffed, outraged by both the words themselves, and how he apparently thought he knew her so well to say them with such confidence.
“That’s bollocks, my lord,” she made a face. “Anybody could be like me, if they had to be.”
“Be that as it may, many are not. Not here, at least. Answer the question, Miss Byrne.”
“I don’t know,” she shrugged her exasperation. “Maybe? I never really stopped and asked folk for a performance review after each conversation.”
“No, you’d never stoop to that. To being seen to care one way or the other.”
“Not everything is a front, you know. Some people really don’t care.”
“Some people are fools.”
“You’re saying you care? You? What, do you fall to pieces every time you hear the whispers around this place?”
The look that earned her, the thinly veiled reference to the general dislike of him even among his own men, was withering. Theo withstood it stonily.
After a few long moments of staring in silence, this odd little game of chicken in which neither of them broke and looked away, he spoke. “I speak not of being liked, I speak of perception. One can gain much, based on perception.”
“I don’t need anything I can’t get myself,” she dismissed instantly.
“Is that so? In which case, why are you here?” the question was punctuated by a slight raising of his eyebrows - and resented it thoroughly.
“These are extreme circumstances,” she replied, her voice souring.
“How one handles extreme circumstances matters far more than the non-extreme variety. That’s when you learn what manner of cloth an individual is cut from.”
“You do see how that’s a bit rich, don’t you? Having built an entire career on forcing people into extreme situations that give them no choice but to do exactly what you hope they will?”
“You’ve had plenty of choices,” he countered casually.
“Yeah,” she snorted. “You or the noose. Try not to be too flattered by the fact that I chose you.”
“Do you expect that I have forgotten I’m speaking to the woman who snuck out of those very docks,” he punctuated the words with a sweeping gesture towards the windows, “from under the nose of Commodore James Norrington, on his very ship, with Sparrow and Turner?”
“Port Royal’s changed a bit since then.”
“The doors to your quarters have been unlocked and unguarded both this last week. Every night.”
“And?”
“And yet you remain.”
Theo scoffed. “I didn’t know. Don’t read too deeply into it.”
“It’s a miracle you survived as long as you have, you know,” he pointed out silkily, “without being burned for witchcraft, I mean. Being as terrible a liar as you are.”
He’d believed one or two of her lies so far - but pointing that out would be daft. For all she knew, his eyes searched her face for any hints of just that sort of smugness, and she wouldn’t be stupid enough to let a tell slip through at this stage. Instead she arched an eyebrow at him.
“Is that a threat? Is that where Mercer’s slunk off to? Gathering wood for a pyre?”
“We prefer hangings these days, do try and keep up with the times.”
Not a yes, but hardly a no, either. But she detected no real threat from it, only a desire to see her uncomfortable.
“You also personally prefer to make the supernatural work for you.”
“Yes. And so long as it does work for me, it survives.”
That was rather more of a threat.
“I knew the door was unlocked,” she admitted sourly. “I noticed that I didn’t hear the sound of it locking from that very first night. Then the lack of guards the night after - you choose real morons for that, you know. Muttering and gossiping all the way ‘til dawn.”
“So why not leave?”
How? And to where? The only person here who might possible help her was Groves, and that’d see him hanged under Port Royal’s fancy new piracy laws before the following day was through - or with Mercer’s knife in his gut, if Beckett wanted to avoid the scandal of executing one of Port Royal’s most beloved naval-men. So that would’ve left her trying to navigate a very Sparrow-esque escape from Port, and she was no Jack. With no way to navigate, the ability to grab supplies before leaving too risky, and in nothing but her nightdress, rowing all the way to Tortuga wasn’t particularly likely. Not that she was popular there these days, anyway.
Plus, all of that hinged on one thing. The prospect that her newfound freedom wasn’t a test on Beckett’s part. It was now confirmed that it had been just that, but she’d known from the start. This? This was just part of it. And the answer perfect answer to his question drifted lightly through her mind before she even had the chance to wonder if so much time here had really turned her into this much of a manipulator. A far worse question to ponder was whether the words she spoke next were less manipulation and more of an admission.
“How would that benefit me?” she asked simply.
Beckett smirked. Worse still, it…wasn’t not a handsome sight. The way she leapt around the wording of the thought itself did nothing to pad the truth of it. Nor fact that she blushed when his eyes drifted pointedly to her lips.
The stare lingered a moment, but then he made to rise, but Theo wouldn’t allow it. She was entrenched in many games with him, but this wouldn’t be one of them. The one where he thought he’d rack up this odd tension between them, endlessly on and on, hoping it would only wedge her further beneath his thumb. No. His mistake was thinking she’d be bound by the same bullshit codes of etiquette as every other woman here. Sure, out there, she’d play along. It was a necessity, and nine times out of ten it was no skin off her nose. But here? Here she had a chance to turn the tables on him.
Her hand shot out and grabbed his hand as he was halfway risen. The move shocked him - truly shocked him, though it showed on his face for only a moment before he stared at her. His lips parted to speak, but she interrupted. If he’d enjoyed Elizabeth pointing a gun in his face, hopefully he’d get a kick out of this.
“Don’t say anything,” she said, her words coming out far stronger than she’d dared to hope they would. “Just…come here.”
Oh, but that got his attention. And for once, she saw a look in his eye that didn’t seem all that calculated. Of course, he was still Beckett. He didn’t comply, instead rising all the way, but nor did he shake her hand off of his. In fact, his fingers toyed with hers in a way that was far from accidental.
And when she used her grip to pull him towards her, refusing to release it even when he dipped his head and met her midway for the kiss, she wished she’d been pretending when she liked it.

What are your 3 most and least favorite Hazbin characters and why? I love reading your thoughts on things. <3 Awesome work btw!
Favs are easy
Alastor. Well, you could've guessed lol. He's the reason i'm in the fandom. I don't know why i like him that much. Maybe because he's creepy, powerful, but also not the MOST powerful (although in my head i want him to be teehee), also cool voice and the fact that he was almost cut in half and had a mental breakdown. I started liking him AFTER the season ended, so, i guess, seeing him being destroyed by Adam was Important. Also he's ace (and most likely aro) so i don't have to worry that he'll be involved in some ungodly ship in the future (I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY, RIGHT? RIGHT????). I want to see him suffer, i want to see him broken, i want to see him rise and conquer Hell.
Rosie. HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE HER? She's amazing on her own, but i guess she didn't have enough screen time to be my favorite on her own. But her dynamic with Alastor worth a world, PLEASE I'M BEGGING, I WANNA SEE MORE OF THEM IN SEASON 2. LET THEM BE MARRIED FOR TAX REASONS AND RUB IT IN LUCIFERS PATHETIC FACE
Angel Dust?? Maybe. I'm not sure. He COULD be my favorite, he has incredible angst, it's delicious... But the problem is - he's too horny for my ace ass and his angst mostly revolves around sex which i don't like.
But it's harder to choose which characters i dislike, because i either like them or just don't care enough. but...
Valentino. I mean. He's great antagonist for Angel, and i would LOVE to see him being murdered in the most brutal way... But still, when i think about Val i don't have anything positive about him.
Lucifer. Don't get me wrong. He's fun (his line about depression is iconic), he's silly little guy. But he's TOO silly for my liking. And i wouldn't care about him at all, if it weren't for the... *sigh* the fandom and the fucking r*dio*plle. I hate this ship so much (BECAUSE IT'S EVERYWHERE AAGGHHPGFRRGFG) that it makes me dislike Lucifer too, and be suspicious about any art where i see him and Alastor interacting which is a pity because they have really fun dynamic in canon and i would love to see where it goes. But the fandom ruined it. Thanks, hazbin fandom.
It's hard to choose third one. Because other characters... Well, i don't care about them and i don't feel anything negative about them. Adam? I actually like him, he's fun and his relationships with Lute actually my second fav ship in the show (first being platonic radiorose). I like Lute too (how can i say no to a warrior girl who's little bit fucked up) (and also if she's gonna have revenge arch... Alastor may have to move a bit and share the first place with her)
Ehm, anyway... i can't find third character i dislike even slightly. Maybe i'll remember something later, maybe not, maybe season 2 eill have someone i'll add to the list haha
But for now i'll stop here.
