I present to you my years long obsession - female America.
This is not a Nyotalia version it's just a concept of "what if everything is the same but Alfred was born a girl". Like i see so much potential! In a world where all the odds are stacked against her, she despite it all gets to where she is today. Making good and bad decisions along the way.
A lil hc/backstory for my main girl:
• Given name (by dad Arthur) is Elizabeth Felicity Kirkland but during the revolution changes her last name to Jones. Her first name change happens in the 1820/1830s when she changes it to Alexandra, also dropping her second name. (I was young when I came across the name and it means "defender/protector of man" and I was /obessed/ so i just stick to it since she is a loser and just thinks it's a cool sounding name)
• She goes by Alex/Al and I think that's neat :)
• My girl is tall. Like 181 cm tall. Sender but with visible muscles. She does want a bigger behind but her Anglo-Saxon genetics say nah.
• As a child she spent more time in England due to her being a girl so I think even if Arthur was absent he didn't allow her to spend much time alone in the colonies. She resents that ofc
• Just like with Alfred, Alex is very fkn close to Matt even if she forgets to call him or check up on him for months at a time. Al: "Hey man I know I just called a while ago but how've you been? Matt: "you called me 5 months ago..."
• Works at NASA as a part time aeronaitical engeneer. Loves physics, hates chemistry (self projection im sorry)
• During the revolution she dressed up as a boy but the people she worked with knew she wasn't one. People went along with it anyway.
• Other than during the American revolution, she dressed in feminine presenting clothes up until the 1930s. After that it was trousers all the way!
• Alex was never a nurse during wartime but definitely did accountaint work in ww1 and later joined the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) where she stayed until 1943 when she joined her men fighting on the ground ( Conversion to Army status, Women's Army Corps - WAC). That's when she saw actual combat.
• Isn't fond of birds. Canaries are fine. Eagles are unsettling.
• Obsesses over a certan thing/hobby at a time up to a point where she perfects her skill. When she was about 14 (human years) it was the whole freedom and equality of man and all the politics regarding it. In the 1890s her obession was cars and motor vehicles. The 1910s brought a new obsession on womens rights. 1960s was space exploration where she devoted almost all her time researching and working for NASA, disregarding her goverment/state duties as a country. In the 1980s it was the internet. In 1990s she got really interested in the Balkan wars (self insert >:)) for whatever reason. Today her attention is mostly on social media and her attention span ia short af. Still really likes all things tech.
• Hasn't got many properties/real estate. Al does own a penthouse in Seaport, Boston and a late 17th and early 18th century colonial home in Newbury, Boston (that she needs to renovate asap). The only other real state she owns is in California, though modern and recently buit, it's not big nor does she spend much time there.
• Her personality is basicaly Alfred if he grew up as a woman and had to face opression based on sex and inequality that came with it. So still bubbly, extroverted, a social butterfly but also self-serving, idealistic, manipulative sprinkled in with sarcasm, cautiousness and craftiness. Same feckin sense of humour tho.
• In 1783, at the Treaty of Paris in Versailles both her and her father had to sign the document that started her independence (She herself had a human representitive 'cus of her age/sex bla bla but it was mostly formalities). At that signing Arthur gave her a flintlock pistol that he himself used in the 1640s. Not many words were exchanged, he just put it in her hand to keep. She still has it in her attic. Somewhere. She'd find it if she just takes the time to look for it I'm sure.
• In 1889 she straight up did her first war crime/murder of a fellow nation (if you don't count shooting her pops face off at Saratoga in 1777). After an altrication with Antonio that resulted in him insulting and slapping the girl for her audacity and mouthiness, she punched him straight in the jaw. A fight insued where she got ahold of his belt and straight up strangled him. Took her a while to process that and accept it. On the bright side Antonios scilence was heard around the world and while perplexed and insulted, older and influential (mostly male at that point) nations started to feel a glint of respect forming for the young startup.
• Al was given a family pocket watch by her father in the 90s (No more empire for Arthur so he sad :(((((( ) that was suppoaed to go to a firstborn son of a lord as an inheritance symbol. Everyone thought Jack would get it since Matt is techincally not Arthur's son. But even he would be expected to recieve it before Al. Then in an unexpected turn of events, while visiting her grumpy and nostalgeous empire-missing dad, Arthur pulled out the watch while eating stale kebabs in front of the telly and gave it to her casualy without as much as a word (The empire started with her, it shall end with her). She keeps it in her work desk drawer in a wooden box.
• Al and Zee have an interesting relationship. While being different in almost every aspect, there ia a mutual respect for eachother from eachother. While not really being able to see eye to eye, they are sisters in a certain roundabout and very fucked up way. Girls who learned that they are very much judged by their sex despite being daughters of a high ranking British lord. While aware that she will never be Alex/Elizabeth in her fathers eyes, Zee still gets treated as a treasure by her father. Much to Zee's annoyance.
• It's still Matt who's in Alex's shadow. Despite the dificulties she rises above and is the perfect child of an empire. Smart, intelligent, inquisitive, a fast learner and incredibly aware of the political and historical situation at all times. Even despite being a girl and less than a son in the eyes of a 17th/18th century society, she suceeds.
• Arthur wanted a son to come from his colonial endeavours, as all empires/nobility at the time did. And as all other empires at the time had. But ofc karma is a bitch and he's the only empire with an only child being a daughter. Though at first thougrly dissaponted, when he lays his eyes on his daughter for the first time, the only emotion he can feel is /joy/.
• Instead of sowing/knitting Al's education was very much focused on natural sciences, since that is where Arthur quickly realized she exels at. He swapped her Violin and General History of Music lessions with Astrophysics and The History of Astronomy. All in an attempt to stop her from making his ears bleed from the constant prattling about The Four Square Theorem or The Brachistocrone Curve. It only got worse, but his daughter was happy and content.
I have sooooo many more of these jfc i might do more later but for now this is all I can think of.
TLDR: Female America is great and has so much potential as a character hghhhhhhhh

Yeah ill ask a question why not?
Tell me your thoughts on shinjuku jack! It's one of the few songs I can't really figure out other than that it SLAPS. (not helped by the fact Jack as far as I know, doesn't have readable material)
Oh yay I love the PV for this one sm
I haven't really looked into Shinjuku Jack very much tbh. There is no readable material, and I'm pretty sure Abuse hasn't said anything on any real plot relevance. It's not tied to any of his other works, so it serves as a stand-alone story
It seems to me like a story of transition. Shinjuku is best known for its railway station, which is referenced several times throughout the song. Our main character is sick of city life, or whatever else he lumps in with "sex, suppers, and shut eye" and "collapse theory". He seems fed up with the life he's been brought up in and the people around him, so he runs away to what he considers a better place. There's a lot of symbolism of cycles and starting anew here lyrically. Sex itself, taking trains, rotting, change, burning, ashes, dreaming up a town, and birth, from briefly skimming
We also seem to be following not Jack, but someone following Jack
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For a less literal interpretation, this has the potential to be more about suicide than leaving any specific place behind. Our singer seems to hate life and people, along with his upbringing. Especially with the first line there of "Jack, it's you! You're dying, but the whole point is that kind of thing is a train transfer". In the PV, we see our character and another character (perhaps Jack?) are beastmen. Based on Abuse's writing for his other works, beastmen are generally opressed across all of his works, which he seems to use often as a metaphor for queerness, disability, etc. If our singer and Jack's goal is normalcy, I could see this being a story about two queer friends (or lovers) commiting suicide due to opression

im pretty sure i remember the moment the tide shifted and tumblr feminism fell into that fucking libfem/radfem divide from hell. Around the time those posts started going around like "people seem to think that just because we're talking about the hitherto unacknowledged ways white women enforce racism, that white women are somehow singularly responsible, omitting white men from the equation" (ostensibly correct take) -> "intersectional feminism and the focus on racism and other issues not centered on only women are making it seem like women are each other's enemies when we should all be allies" (okay) -> "women are self flagellating for whatever privilege they might hold instead of focusing on the oppression they face" (red flag) -> "we focus on every other oppression except sexism. feminism should be about sexism FIRST. other opressions are their own thing" (massive step forward in the feminist consciousness FULLY obliterated) -> "its misogynistic to expect women to always care about every other social issue except the sexism that affects them. the one, central, worst and most intense social oppression they face, that only tangetially interacts with other forms of social oppression" (just completely fucking inaccurate picture of reality) -> "the central power conflict is between men & women and nothing else affects the power struggle at all" -> "women are the oppressed and men are the oppressors" -> "women cannot socially oppress others as they are powerless, be it men or other women" -> "women do not have any responsibility to check their own intense potential for harm towards marginalized communities" -> "any violent rhetoric borne from rage, frustration, feelings of powerlessness or sheer innate bigotry & lack of empathy towards others is just ~victims expressing their frustrations." -> "any comment towards the way i could possibly be harming marginalized communities through my words & rhetoric is sexism" "feminism should be about supporting women and ending sexism so when you criticise my hateful angry position that i arrived at through pain & anger at the reality of sexism its antifeminist backlash"

I saw you mentioning that you are making Arcane DR script in one of your posts. I was wondering if you would be comfortable to share a bit about your script. That is if you're okay with that.
A second thing I wanted to ask is how you deal with the possible consequences and outcomes of altering canon events or timeline, and them having the potential to hurt and negatively impact the people around you.
A very personal example here, I'm also planning to shift to Arcane and I scripted out the explosion that killed Vander, Mylo and Claggor and lead to Powder being taken in by Silco. Keeping Vander alive will probably result in him still being the leader of the Lanes. And as much as I admire Vander, I have to admit his unwillingness to take more direct and violent approach against the Piltover's opression of Zaun, caused by him witnessing the bloody realities of fighting for freedom and it's cost in blood and innocent lives, will almost certainly harm the Undercity in the long run.
Also in my DR the Shimmer does not end up flooding the Undercity with drug addiction, which while that change saves many lives from being destroyed, it takes away the chance to save many others with Shimmer's medicinal benefits or the means it gives the people to protect themselves.
In my DR, Vander is very much a father figure and adoptive father to me, which results in my conflicting emotions. On one hand, I don't want any harm falling upon my found family, but on the other hand I don't want my need for comfort to become the cause of doom of people of Zaun.
Anyways, I'm ending this here cuz it's getting too personal. Sorry for venting and eventual spam it caused. Also sorry if my rambling doesn't make any sense.
[thanks for this ask!]
first off, i just want to say that the rambling didn't feel like rambling at all, so no harm done ((:
as for your question; there are two ways that i usually do whenever things get butterflied away. the first is to do active scripting, and the second is to rationalise with myself. I'll explain this a bit.
≿❈≾
(1) active scripting
it is as the title of the action suggests. shifting is a limitless concept, meaning, anything that you want to happen, no matter how inconsequential or nonsensical it may seem, will happen if you decided to make it so. you don't need to worry about upsetting the 'balance of the universe' (or whatever it's called), because the universe will right itself on its own. that is not your responsibility. actively scripting things in or out for your DR doesn't necessarily mean they will stay that way forever, because again, you have the option to change their outcomes. if you feel as if what you're doing will yield negative results, then you can go even farther and script something to counterbalance that. it's not a cycle of certainty, because every action and event is spontaneous. as an example: the explosion. like you've already pointed out, if it doesn't happen, it would likely lead to vander staying the leader of the place. however, it's important to note that this was a pivotal moment in the story. you can leave it as is, but plot-wise, it creates a vaccum of sorts: what event takes place, if not the explosion? otherwise, nothing else would change. unless you could think of other possibilities (such as: ways the enforcers go about their investigation with the incident, the kirammans deciding not to take action in the end, jayce's explusion + vi's arrest going differently, etc.), i can't think of any other way things progress if the explosion/s never happened. in the other event that vander and co. do stick together, though; how would you plan to make him change as a person? vander's unwillingness for further action would lead to the undercity stagnating even more. so, you have the option of scripting something in. that's one of the major reasons why reality shifting is such a big deal. you can change outcomes. just to quote this reddit user from a thread with a similar topic; vander and silco's conflict is a classic case of the 'does the end justify the means or do the means justify the end' argument. but that doesn't mean you have to strictly follow either, in this case. you can compromise. you can even alter it entirely. vander and silco's approaches leadership both have merit, but you can still counterbalance them.
- - -
(2) rationalising
I'm going to admit that i initially began shifting just for the hell of it, simply for experiencing other worlds. more often than not, i do it just to see and live through what my favourite characters do. often times, it can be boring, unexpected, perhaps even disenchanting. the reason i continue shifting is because I've grown attached, and because, admittedly, i don't want my happiness and experience(s) to end. i can get very...well, selfish. most of the things that i do and want in my DR's are born out of my own greed and need for validation. as long as I'm not actively harming anything or anyone, I'm able to come to terms with myself. that's not to say the experience would be the same for others. my way of rationalising with the things i deal with is different from most people's, not to mention a tad bit too hedonistic. that's how i cope with the ability and knowledge i have. omniscient does not equate wise. i deal with consequences in my DR's the way i do my own CR—spontaneously, and all along the way. i don't want to continue being stuck in the past nor do i want to hope for the future too much, even in any other reality. i can make conditions (again, scripting) to make my life easier, but otherwise, i always try to savour the present. if it happens, it happens, and if i don't like it, then the option of rescripting is present. this is also different from the existential crisis that is infinite realities. there will always be a world where everything is much worse than the worst you can imagine. there is an undercity where the explosion happens but the parties involved live, there is an undercity where ekko never founds the firelights, there is a piltover where hextech never comes to be, there is a piltover where viktor never works under heimerdinger. still, the one thing you can do is to script. and shift.
≿❈≾
as for my script...well. ok. i will admit that, to start, know that there is no script at the moment 😭😭 lmao it's really just this:
Tumblr media
it's not detailed as of yet—I'm actually planning to wait for season 2 to be released/finished for the sake of further context. however, i do have some ideas on how to approach this script. the previous post i made about shifting to arcane (i assume you meant the one where i mentioned firearms and explosives) was mostly for familiarising myself a bit with the enforcers' weapons, as well as try to understand jinx's skills as a fighter. i scripted to be viktor's sister here, and while we both run vastly different jobs in zaun/piltover, i made it that we have a relationship of equals as siblings. it's...well, I'm essentially a whore in this DR (crass, but you get the point), and I'm shifting to the time when viktor's still an assistant to heimerdinger. if nothing else, i actually do want to research some things in this DR. it's a passing interest, but i want to see how healthcare operates here, especially during the period of time where viktor's illness affected the better of him. I'm also planning to combine lol!vik and arc!vik [dunno how I'm going to, but I'll figure it out].

back to my little rant i had on "is there asexual oppression and if so, what is it?" the whole idea of asexuals that have an enjoy sex immediately invalidates them from experiencing any potential opression.. there is literally no conceivable different between having sex because you love your partner or because you love sex. even "allo" people sometimes struggle to make this distinction. if someone is oppressed for being asexual, it would be at the Very Least for not having sex like being called a virgin or something. but yknow to these ppl sex favorable aces exist so throw that out the window.
the only thing that separates "sex favorable aces" and "allos" is a made up word. thts all. not only bc i dnt think sex favorable aces exist but because there is literally no difference in any way.

My main is @roguemonsterfucker. This is a sideblog. Please see my pinned post on my main for more info about me.
DNI: Do NOT follow this blog if you’re a minor. I soft block all minors that follow me. You may reblog my posts, but you should not follow this blog. I want to feel comfortable reblogging and posting adult content without worrying I’m exposing minors to such things. I don’t have a DNI beyond that. I just block people that make me uncomfortable for whatever reason. No, I’m not listing the things that make me uncomfortable.
About: Shipped With Monsters is my personal selfship blog. I post things that interest me personally, whether they be reblogs or original posts. That said, I actively encourage selfshippers to gush about their beloved F/Os in my ask box because I love hearing about that! Blind pick from New M/F Snippets (from freeusemuses)
6D Jack x Ahsoka Tano
New Freeuse M/F 6D: Ahsoka and Jack
Ahsoka gasped as she felt hips clap hard on her luscious ass--the clap reverberating around the room. She could feel the man's hands molding her ass firmly, toying with her as he steadily thrust back and forth, pumping hard and fast into her for his own twisted pleasure. It felt so wrong, so terrible, and despite it all...she found herself loving every second of it.
And she had no one but herself to blame.
She'd come here on the mission to investigate the local rumors of a new Dark-side warrior making the planet of Evar'shdak his. Two Sith were a problem--the fact that there were now Sidious, Tyrannus, Maul, Savage Opress, Assaj Ventress, and now this newcomer...it could only spell doom for the Order. So she had been sent to investigate, and do what must be done when she found him.
And she did find him--find him shirtless, sweat glistening on his body in the bright sunlight after working out, and she found herself helplessly drawn to him. What had followed was a laughable saber duel in his training room, before both her blades were cast aside and she found herself at the man's mercy. A flick of his wrist, and he'd expertly lightsabered her clothes to ribbons without so much as brushing her skin, then lifted her off the floor to his bedchambers.
Which was where she was now, moaning like a common whore.
"F-fuck~ M-Master Jack~ oh god, your cock~" Ahsoka groaned out, biting her lip as her own hands rose to fondle her ass. She pressed her face down into the soft plush sheets beneath her, staring over her shoulder to the handsome sith plowing her so deeply. "Your cock is ruining me, Master~"
Jack chuckled, leaning down to take her large, thick hind-most montral in his grasp and pull tight, forcing her head up and a lewd moan from her lips. "It better be~ you made the mistake of coming here, Ahsoka~ now, you're never leaving again~ you're staying here, as my slave, for the rest of your days~"
Whatever concern his words should've stirred in her heart only made the young jedi knight moan with pleasure, rocking her hips eagerly into his cock. "Yes~ yes~ I must stay~ even if I could leave, I can never go back to the Jedi~ not after realizing how good it feels to be fucked~"
"Those monks wasted your potential~" Jack agreed, tilting her head back to stare into his eyes. "You're no warrior, Ahsoka~ you are a whore, and you will be mine~"
With that, the sith claimed her lips in a deep, possessive kiss, one the Togruta woman eagerly melted into, her lips and tongue dancing with his in his mouth as she began to eagerly twerk into his thrusts. She gave herself more and more to him, and to her own lusts, knowing with absolute certainty that she would never leave, that no one would ever find her again, and she'd forever feel endless pleasure at his hand.

Morality-Focused Frameworks Of Discussion As Acts of Control
This is a post in response to a larger conversation I’ve been having with @eshusplayground. I have a perspective that I think would be really relevant to the conversation but I also don’t want to derail the specific focus of the following posts she’s been making recently.
(Trigger Warning For Abuse Discussion and Brief Mentions of Rape)
---
So I’m in the Hellraiser fandom. More specifically, I’m a Pinhead/Kirsty shipper.
For those of you that don’t know, Pinhead is a demonic torturer from hell who’s design is inspired by the BDSM community. Characters who open a magical puzzle box have unknowingly given themselves away to his violent underworld community of eternal torment and depravity. Hellraiser is a film about romantic and sexual horror, and there’s quite a lot in there about abuse and trauma. Kirsty is a traumatized person, and in my personal opinion, very likely a CSA victim.
And I ship these two characters together.
So the subject matter of my particular fandom is extremely intense and niche and complicated to navigate, although YMMV (I have no trouble with this franchise, but I cannot really handle GOT or American Horror Story, for example). After I grew interested in Hellraiser and integrated into it’s fandom, my perspectives about the way we have conversations about villainous characters started to have a major shift.
I often see people have these intense conversations (and arguments) about where a particular character exists on a moral scale, with the subtext (or outright text) that if they tip too far one way or another, they can be rendered unworthy of their own subgroup of fans within their own fandom. People who love those characters or find them shippable are then subject to moral judgements.
So how does one apply such logic to a psychosexual torture demon?
The answer is you can’t.
The frameworks people online use to have these discussions do not make any sense when talking about my fandom. Hellraiser is a dark horror fairytale presenting disturbing, surreal images and behaviors in order to discuss complex and difficult experiences and perspectives. The monsters within it, like Pinhead, are more metaphor than anything.
Now, my follower count is too low and my fandom is too niche for me to really be on the receiving end of a lot of the cruelty that manifests online about the moral validity of the fiction I enjoy. That said, between the anti-kink TERFS and the younger folks involved in purity culture on this site, I can imagine exactly what it would look like. You know what they would look like.
“You’re an Abuse Apologist!”
“You’re an Abuse Fetishist!”
“You’re reinforcing sexism!”
“he’s an irredeemable torturer, you’re probably okay with literal real world rape lmao uwu”
“This is bad kink representation and you’re complicit in the abuse real men do to women because you like this!”
Now, setting aside the fact that the canon lore context of Pinhead involves him having a human soul brainwashed by a monster god to become what he is, and is also in a roundabout sense “redeemed” in canon, I think most people utilizing this kind of framework would assume that I believe Pinhead can be redeemed in the way online Discourse (tm) means it, because that’s how we talk in fandom about the villains we really like.
I do not want to redeem Pinhead. I don’t think he even needs redeeming. I don’t even see value in that conversation at all. Redemption is not a concept that makes sense for what he is, or what he could become as a character. The framework of Pinhead as a Real-World-Equivalent Human Male Abuser who Cannot Be Redeemed From His Actions would inevitably dominate all conversation, regardless of the fact that it is inherently incorrect and detrimental to real, robust literary analysis of the narrative he exists within and how brilliantly it actually interacts with male on female abuse as a subject. By nature of it’s gross oversimplification and misrepresentation, It ruins the potential for greater, more nuanced and complex conversations.
And that’s the thing: my engagement with this particular story and it’s characters has a lot to do with the potential in the narrative to examine how trauma interacts with love, desire and gender politics. Hellraiser has a very unique way of exploring that kind of subject through a storytelling aesthetic that appeals to me (horror/fairytale, gothic romance, etc).
This is about to get personal, so strap the fuck in.
I am the victim of gendered abuse, in that I had an emotionally abusive step father and sexism was absolutely a factor in why that manifested the way it did. I am also a second hand victim of gendered abuse, in that my biological father was a serial stalker and rapist, and other male abusers (or just self-centered family members) caused severe emotional destabilization in my childhood. I grew up viewing adult men as unstable, selfish children. My family endured a lot, and I came to resent the men in my mother’ life for not taking on the role of protector and nurturer when she needed them most. I had discovered the great lie of traditional masculinity: in the face of real crisis, grown men were not protectors. They did not hold together the domestic space. They abused or faltered and abandoned us. This was a repeated pattern among several men in different roles. I was often left picking up all the pieces, taking on roles as a child that these men could not. I had to have strength they did not.
My experience of desire for romantic intimacy with men and men in roles of stable, nurturing authority now inherently involves a jumbled emotional soup of fear, pain, and a deep longing that comes from a place of feminine vulnerability, a desire to be taken care of instead of being the caretaker.
The narrative of Hellraiser pushes a lot of buttons for me. It speaks to my own trauma experiences in a very specific way. In an effort to further that conversation, I’m trying to create a piece of art (a fic) inspired by the deeply personal feelings this film gives me.
For me, Pinhead represents the Jungian shadow masculine, a simultaneous mix of fear and desire, the potential for suffering and pleasure, and everything in between. These experiences are inherently intertwined for me. And Kirsty’s experiences mirror many of my own.
In other words, in order for me to get out of Hellraiser what I get out of Hellraiser, Pinhead has to be exactly what he is, and everything that he is. Which includes monstrosity. Which includes the potential for change. His place in the narrative must fully, truly embody this conversation I need to have with masculinity, which inherently involves painful, scary things.
Anybody demanding that I either denounce my interest in him as morally offensive because he’s a monster in the full sense of the word (and not just the aesthetic one like what is currently trending in Monster Boyfriend fandom), or force a traditional redemption arc upon him as if he were a real life human person who must repent for his real life sins, are essentially saying that I am not allowed to engage with this work of fiction in a way that is transformative for me. And that’s very unfortunate, because honestly, I think my perspective is so much more dynamic and has so much more to offer.
This is not just about basic catharsis. This is not even a power fantasy about emotionally transforming a powerful (white) dude, or “bad boy” fantasies, both standard arguments for villain stanning that feels like it has never truly represented me or the complexity of my experiences and interests. This is a full-on conversation and act of self expression I want to have through art about the experience of fear and trauma when dealing with men as a woman who desires men.
And I don’t think a person has to be traumatized in order to want to engage with this type of fiction. I want to be clear that my experience is not a justification for my interest (I do not need to justify myself), it is an example of a perspective that gets erased by the framework of these conversations.
To me, the framework of moral validity for enjoying fictional villains and monsters and whatever you please feels incredibly stifling to the complex, dynamic ideas and analysis that I want to engage in, because I, and many people I know, are consistently pressured to structure their thoughts with this framework as the only acceptable baseline of discussion. This is so ubiquitous that when people I’ve known have tried to engage in ways that diverge from that framework, the responses they get are outright confused or direct the conversation right back to the original framework they tried to avoid. Complex conversation gets steamrolled.
Somewhere in the conversation we were all having about acknowledging and discussing abuse and oppression, and acknowledging troubling patterns in media which reinforce the normalization of abuse and opression, some people decided that there was a very serious moral discussion to be had regarding the mere act of liking things which involve dark subject matter and complex, or even monstrous characters. They now argue that there are very clear cut, simple moral frameworks for A) telling stories and B) enjoying stories, and most importantly, that this moral framework is a valid justification for the social treatment and silencing of certain people.
A framework, by the way, which I think is actually not functionally a framework, because like the toxic American fundamentalist christian groups it’s thinking is structured from, it does not account for the vastly diverse moral landscape within it’s own space. There is no objectively consistent body of knowledge anybody is working from, because morals are derived from the human experience, which is inherently subjective.
Interestingly, no where does this have more of an impact than with marginalized people, and people like me, who want to express something deeper and more meaningful in the conversation about abuse and oppression than what this framework really offers us. To be honest, The more I see this kind of conversation making the rounds, the clearer it becomes that it’s a means of control and power game playing. It’s not about morality, but about how morality can be leveraged in order to silence truly diverse and nuanced perspectives and uphold people’s sense of self-comfort. It is a means of supplanting more convenient and easily digestible understandings of these highly complex subjects that require more intensive, thoughtful engagement, especially when it gets challenging. This kind of rhetoric absolves people of making room for complex and diverse experiences, and reinforces an (at face-value) easy to follow set of moral rules of how we are all allowed to think and feel.
The implication of all of this is that if we all adhere to the One True (alleged) Moral Framework of Fandom Engagement, then we will somehow come out on the other side with all the Good People having a Great Time having Squeaky Clean Fun. And I don’t think I should have to tell you at this point how stifling and disturbing the implications of that kind of mentality really are.
Quite frankly, I think a lot of us are very tired of constantly speaking on other people’s terms.

The Last Palpatine
Tumblr media
Now that Rise of Skywalker has been out for a few months, I wanted to share my two cents about one of the more controversial plot points. The reveal that Rey is Emperor Palpatine’s granddaughter.
AND . . . . meh, whatever. It would’ve been more interesting if she had been a lost Kenobi (perhaps Obi Wan’s granddaughter by Duchess Satine), a lost Skywalker (RIP Mara Jade), or just nobody in particular. But she’s a Palpatine now, so let’s just roll with it.
HOWEVER, I don’t buy her being Emperor Palpatine’s granddaughter! At least, not JUST his granddaughter.
Not that I’m in any position to judge someone who would want to sleep with Emperor “I just got my face melted off by my own lightning” Palpatine, but it seems too out-of-character for Palpatine to celebrate the creation of his empire with a roll in the space hay & risk creating a future threat to his rule. He spent centuries putting the pieces in place for taking over the galaxy & wiping out the Jedi - he would probably either take the extra 3 seconds to sheath his Light Saber or murder his partner once he was done with her (assuming he didn’t accidentally vaporize her with his Unlimited Power).
Granted, Hollywood AND Washington DC are full of guys who have gotten drunk on their own power & lost it all because they couldn’t keep it in their pants. And Palpatine’s let his hubris get the best of him & nearly ruin his plans several times before (see Darth Maul, Asajj Ventris, Savage Opress, and the Skywalker family). But I have a feeling Palpatine wouldn’t be so likely to underestimate his own flesh and blood.
And canonically speaking, Palpatine didn’t even need an heir. He’d been using the Dark Side to prolong his life for centuries, and he had a deal with the cloners on Kamino to keep a few clones of him on standby in case his original body became too decrepit, with a bonus upgrade of adding all his memories to the new clone so he could just pick up where he left off. As a functional immortal, Palpatine didn’t have to worry about grooming a successor or keeping an eye out for a potential usurper who might stage a coup.
So here’s what I think really went down. (With zero basis on the canon from the books)
A long, long, long, long, LONG time ago, Palpatine was a young Sith apprenticed to Darth Plageus. And, like Anakin, Palpatine had a “secret love affair” that was obvious to anyone who paid attention. However, Palpatine’s relationship was a bit less “tragic star crossed lovers” and more “casual fuck buddies who go for stretches without seeing each other because of his training but she knows if he finds out she bonked someone besides him she might get sliced like Wonder Bread.” Palpatine might have loved her, but his lust for ultimate power always trumped everything else.
Anyway, one day Darth Plageus summons Palpatine & tells him that he senses Palpatine is turning away from the Dark Side, and says the only way to prove his dedication to the course at hand is to kill his lover. Might just be a Sith thing, forcing apprentices to prove their loyalty by killing the people they love most (heck, Palpatine did it all the time in The Clone Wars). But Palpatine goes to his lover, who he senses has been keeping some big secret from him for a while now, and cuts her down. She tried begging for her life, promising she never strayed & saying she loves him, but Palpatine won’t be swayed. And as she lies dying, she gasps out one word that Palpatine can’t quite catch, so he dismisses it & goes back to Plageus with proof the deed is done.
Fast forward several centuries. Palpatine’s just won the Clone Wars, the Jedi are all dead or in hiding, he has a massive army of blindly obedient soldiers - everything’s going his way. And like all tyranical overlords who finally get to crown themselves king of the hill, Palpatine starts to get paranoid about losing his power. But who could possibly take him down?
The Senate? They’re all sheeple, buying into his propaganda about the evils of the Jedi & the need for a galactic Empire. The few voices of dissent can be ignored or quietly assassinated.
The Jedi? Most were gunned down by their own clones, and the few survivors aren’t even CLOSE to being as strong with the Force as he is.
Darth Maul? Eh, Palpatine’s kicked his ass before, he can do it again if he gets bored. And for now, Maul seems happy with his life as a crime boss.
The Clones? They’re all programmed to be obedient & never harm the Chancellor/Emperor. Besides, the few in the 501st that had their bio-brain chip thingies removed will die of old age before they can mount a proper counterattack thanks to the kamino cloning process aging them twice as fast as normal people.
Darth Vader? Between losing all his extremities, most of his ability to channel the Force, and his ridiculous amount of self-loathing after betraying everyone & killing his pregnant wife, Palpatine’s more worried about Vader throwing himself into a ship’s main reactor than he is about the possibility of Vader turning on him & throwing Palpatine into a ship’s main reactor.
So Palpatine goes to sleep in his ginormous palace, feeling confident that nothing can touch him, until he wakes up in a cold sweat suddenly realizing what his lover’s last word was.
“Baby.”
Baby.
Her baby.
More importantly, HIS baby!
If she had his child, and that child had descendants of their own, they could use their heritage to rally a coup to overthrow him & seize the throne for themselves! And if they inherited his strong connection to the Force? All his hard work would be for nothing if he died like his master!
So Palpatine starts hiring bounty hunters to look into this random murder from ages ago, track down the victim’s descendants, and wipe them all out. Palpatine’s careful not to let anyone know why these random citizens need to die, and most bounty hunters know better than to ask questions. But Palpatine’s distant descendants quickly figure out they’re in danger, including Rey’s future parents, and they start running, trying to get themselves off everyone’s radar.
Eventually only three remain - one great-great-great-great grandson, his wife, and their child. The man & woman know the Emperor will stop at nothing to wipe them out, so they do the noble/stupid thing & abandon their only daughter on a desert planet in the middle of nowhere, hoping to lead the bounty hunters away & let her grow up in peace.

Captain Marvel and why I think it was wasted potential
I’m throwing myself to the wolves but I have too many feelings not to write about it. Spoilers ahead
I think my problem with Captain Marvel was that it broke the golden rule of “show don’t tell” a bit too much for my liking. There was so much exposition that I just didn’t really care about and my other problem was Carol not having a real arch. It kind of reminded me of Agent Carter but not so well done when she said “I don’t have anything to prove”* because Carol never doubted her abilities, hardly showed her struggles (for me the story arch as a whole was flat), I felt like she didn’t earn that line. That line should’ve felt like Peggy realising that if she spent her life trying to prove herself to others it would never matter, it was until she understood her own worth and that she should never have to measure herself with men OR women that she came full circle and delivered her best line ever because she only needed to be better for herself, it should’ve felt like a punch like the iconic Eowyn saying “I am no man”.
I think the movie would’ve benefited if it had shown her long history of complicated relationships with men and how they would always doubt her plus having that connection with Maria, showing how encouraging and supportive they were of each other specially in comparison to all the men she had encountered before or even the sort of positive relationship she thought she had with Yon-Rogg (making it more hurtful when she discovered he was only using her and taking advantage of her) would not only make it more relatable than the “oh they used to be best friends and then she disappeared” (I know I’m oversimplifying) storyline but make the relation even more meaningful. Why not portray how they connected in such a horrible environment, how they became family (that’s what they were don’t even try to argue with that) and then having Carol disappear, how heartbreaking losing her wife friend must have been, all the pain, only to see her again after she mourned and accepted (or not) her death...
When she finally broke free was cool but again I didn’t feel like she was struggling with control in the first place, her powers didn’t fail her (she was not all powerful but she could handle herself pretty well anyway) I think she should’ve had lost her temper (if my memory doesn’t fail me they set that up in the beginning) in moments that were not ideal or maybe even harming someone (perhaps being the reason Fury lost his eye because she couldn’t decide to trust him or not he’s a spy after all). When she faced the Intelligence* I believe it would be more impactful if it had treated her only as a soldier from the begging, Carol following blindly and it calling her “(rank) Vers” only for her to snap saying “my name is Carol” making Coulson’s covering up for Fury and the following conversation about doubting your orders being the thing that keeps us human important too
She should have tangible flaws not only “I don’t remember who I am and that’s why I’m doing this” (Again over simplifying but bear with me). Carol second-doubting herself a couple of times and one last time when fighting Yon (despite saving the freaking Earth!) would add a layer to her character. All those words she heard all her life, from her father to her superiors that she was not enough affecting her, words hurt and sometimes when you hear them enough you begin to believe them. Seeing her break the cycle in the end, realising he was trying to regain control through his words, Carol looking at him, pause for a moment realising he didn’t have any power over her, then blast him and in that moment say that she had nothing to prove would’ve been so much better! And instead of dragging him around as a not-so-comedic moment just throw him into the capsule sending him with her message. He was the real villain, he was the one that we knew, the one who manipulated her (and the audience), the kind of person we know lives in our world, he should be the emotional end, the ultimate climax and Carol coming full circle. Finally, going back to her now larger family with a lighter heart but still leaving again to protect others who are not so fortunate to have a home with the unspoken promise of coming back.
I don’t like movies that tell me to my face that women are strong, we know that (us specially) I know that, but we are vulnerable too. We are not perfect, we all have our demons. Our strength comes from our doubts and how we face them and more importantly how we overcome. Why do we have to downplay our feelings in order to be “strong”? why keep pushing that narrative? Do they think a woman needs to be perfect? Do they think that a woman having flaws is problematic? Do you? If you think that is true you are selling a very dangerous idea and you are no better than the centuries of opression. A movie can be great by showing different kinds of women just look at Fury Road and how an awesome movie it was or at Wonder Woman (I know you don’t want to compare them but being a feminist icon I think it’s impossible not to) even with the cheesiness that one had, but Diana and Furiosa both loved, both cried, both fought, both were brave and both were strong that’s why I liked them, that’s why they inspired me and that’s why they made me feel proud of being born a woman. I can’t tell clearly what the real change in Carol was and that pisses me off. If I have to watch a movie five times to truly get the arch, then (for me at least) it doesn’t speak of a very good construction of character.
I want Captain Marvel to be a woman, I want her to have flaws, I want her to have doubts, I want her to cry, I want her to love, I want her to hate, I want her to be afraid, I want her to be brave, I want her to be a hero, I want her to be HUMAN
I won’t deny the movie had great moments and I like the message it put across (to my face which is the thing I didn’t like) for example the refugees and how a corrupt government turns around events to make us believe they are bad, camaraderie, not everything being black and white, blindly following a leader, realising our true potential, not having anything to prove to anybody but ourselves, standing up after you fall (that was the best thing in the movie because it showed and didn’t tell!)... they were all amazing things that could’ve been done better. I don’t care if it has “a feminist agenda” or “it has a political message” or whatever crap they are saying about the movie in order to throw it under the bus I even avoided every review and went completely blind to the movie to formulate my own opinions. I believe a message is important in our day and age but I rather a movie shows and doesn’t tell.
I didn’t like Captain Marvel but I don’t hate it either because it had a lot of potential but it ended up being an average movie and I just feel... disappointed. My only hope is that in the future they flesh her out much more than this. If you liked the movie that is okay, enjoy it and watch it a thousand times if you want but personally I just didn’t care and that was the biggest sin of all.
*sorry if I missquote something I saw the movie in Spanish so I’m in the dark with a couple of things

I have a question, I just saw your blog and I’m really interested. What placements that would make someone like obsessed with a celebrity like creating a whole fan page or community type of person. THANKS 💛🔥
ohh, that’s an interesting question! Note: this is only general speaking and a short overall view about the topic.
I think a lot of signs have the tendency to be an ‘obsessed fan’ or in general easily ‘obsess’ over something, so I’m gonna write a bit about all of them, he.
Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces have this tendency as they are romanticizers, are deep into their own fantasy worlds and dreamy about the ‘perfect’ being/world, etc. So they would get attached easily and have heart eyes if someone subconsciously pushes the right buttons. I guess you can say every water moon/mars/venus/sun and rising sign counts for that, honestly. Air signs are another one to be very obsessed with someone or something - a way of life, especially their ideal persona aesthetic!! and if someone represents their fav aesthetic/persona aesthetic they will slowly dedicate their way of living to it. They are factual oriented and will gain lots of knowledge, but other than earth signs who love gaining infos as well, air signs are more likely to copy others and indulge in others life when they see their ideals in it. Also: air signs are multi-interested in many many areas and they usually need a platform to share their gathered knowledge and expand it - their social side pushing them to come in touch wth others. So I say potential placements are any air sun, any air moon, aquarius and gemini mercury, any air mars and any air venus but especially geminis! Also, I think the main differences between Aquarius, Gemini and Libra is that Libra is ruled by Venus: they have the same tendency as the water signs to romanticize everything and everyone (not only being an aesthetic and ideal one tries to be or obtain). Anything Virgo as well!! Virgos see the perfection in others they don’t have and easily obsess about it because they wish they could be like them. Also: they love obtaining various information aaaand love being an expert!! so they usually have this one or two big fandoms they spend the majority of their time on and know a lot of about.
Fire placements: Aries sun and moon - because who they like makes them who they are so it kinda gets part of them! Leo venus - because they overromanticize and wish they could be with someone they can’t have/set their romantic ideals to this personIn generel: fire signs are all about the ego. They will love someone who inspires them but in the end wanna see themselves on top and admired so they usually don’t put their energy into dedicating their life and time just for a celebrity/fictional character, etc.
The other earth placements: Taurus sun/taurus moon - venus driven, big romancers and whatever gives them comfort and a good feeling they will indulge in. The few interests they have are well researched/they are usually an expert in those.honestly....capricorn.....I can see Capricorn placements seeing inspiration in someone, trying to reach the same level as them or in someones skills...but as long as they are not in touch with their cancerian side they opress the ‘obsessive’ side pretty good and are usually the best in trying to appear ‘normally interested’ in someone/something. But of course I met some Capricorns that had an ‘obsession’ with something as well. (But who hasn’t at this point, honestly,,)

Apparently, Arguing, and Cheating: ...we're half way thru 2019 and yall are still out here pretending "b*phobia" is a thing hm Lors of comments on this post saying im wrong but none of them are explaining how biphobia is real. Explain & point out to me the specific oppression bi people face, that isnt just a combination of homophobia & misogyny. Bi people dont face a specific oppression that isnt one of those two things im being told bi women have a higher rate of IPV than other groups, but the fact that bi men do not replicate the same numbers means that this is misogyny, not biphobia. If it was biphobia, anyone who is bisexual would face the same rates of abuse. And they dont. Only women do. Its not that "bi people cant experience oppres- sion" which...they do. If theyre women, they face an intersection of homophobia for their perceived-gay relationships, and misogyny. If theyre bi men, they face homophobia. There is still not a unique oppression bi people have, except being told "bisexuality isnt real", but as lesbian if i had a fucking dollar for every time i was told "lesbianism isnt real", "once you try dick you wont 'go back"? Id be fucking loaded. So "[sexuality] isnt real" is just said to people in same sex relationships because it "goes against" homophobic persons pov. & anyway my original comment on this post still stands _(9)F. Bi ppl in visibly straight relationships face no oppression, theyre in fact protected by that guise of heterosexuality. If bi people face oppression in percieved heterosexual relationships, than it goes to reason that heterosexuals are also oppressed. But ive already seen one person on this post claim that the hets ARE oppressed so okay, i know i'm just another teenager with a fandom icon (even younger than the last one! oh no!) but here we go. you say all opression bi women face is a combination of homophobia and misogyny and therefore biphobia isnt real? Lesbophobia is exactly that. a combination of homophobia and misogyny. Does that mean Lesbophobia is not real? That lesbians dont face unique problems even if it is just a combination of other forms of opression? since you asked here are some unique opressions bi people experience: "why cant you just pick one?" being stereotyped as promiscuous or cheaters being seen as greedy told are actually gay or straight, just in the process of questioning Here are some statistics about bisexual people: 45% of bi women have considered or attempted suicide, followed by 35% of bi men and then by 35% lesbians and 30% gay men third of bisexual people reported not disclosing their sexual orientation to their healthcare providers, leaving them without full access to medically necessary care here's a few things from a statistics canada study on violent victimization of Lesbians Bisexuals and gay men in 2014 Compared with heterosexual Canadians, bisexual individuals were almost nine times more likely to be sexually assaulted Rate of violent victimization among lesbian and gay Canadians down from 2009 but remains unchanged for bisexual individuals bisexual individuals were significantly more likely than their heterosexual and lesbian or gay counterparts to report experiencing homelessness. 18% versus 8% and 12% Bisexual individuals experienced violent victimization at a rate nearly double that of lesbian and gay individuals I'm a lesbian, so I in no way claim to be an expert on biphobia. These are things my bi friends have experienced. Thats what im saying: lesbophobia is an intersection of facing homophobia & misyogony, misyogonoir is the intersection of racism and misyogony, but because "bisexual" encompasses women *and* men it cant be an intersection of homophobia and misyogony ."why cant you just pick one?" would argue that thats less oppression and more ignorance. Someone not knowing what bisexuality is doesnt put you at risk of losing your home or being beaten, in the same way being in an "overt" homosexual relationship does. sterotyped as cheating That is a unique assumption about bi people, but ive never seen it directed at bisexual men, mostly bisexual women - and women are already considered to be forced on a thin line of "pure or whore", so i dont know if i can agree that it is biphobia and not just misogyny. But im willing to admit that it might be? ldk. told youre gay or straight Theres a popular post circulating that says so- mething along the lines of "bi women are assu- med to be actually straight and experimenting, and bi men are assumed to be actually gay: the default is 'attracted to men" thats misyogony. These are the exact studies i was asking for earlier & got told no. So thank you, genuinely, for finding them. But even reading these i have to ask why, if biphobia is the actual cause, why arent bi men harmed as much as bi women? It honestly just all reads as very intense misogyny, which doesnt affect bi men. And on my first tag, i said "if biphobia is real, so is heterophobia", which i still think. If bi people are oppresed for being BISEXUAL, not oppressed for being seen as "potentially" gay, or ""potentially" in a gay relationship, then they are oppressed for their attraction for the same and opposite sex, which they experience at the same time. You cant be oppressed for heterosexual attraction, or bise- xual attraction to the opposite sex, or whatever you want to consider that specific attraction. Sorry i just overall don't think that someone in visibly heterosexual relationship (whether or not either or neither of the parties are actually bisexual) faces any oppression in the aspect of their perceived sexuality. A male & female bisexual couple holding hands in public isnt going to get beaten up, or harassed, or met with the same vitriol and fear that a female & female, or male & male bisexual or gay couple would face. Thats what my op was out. & for the record i wasnt mocking that last person for being young & having a fandom blog, objectively theres obviously nothing wrong with either of those lol. she insulted me & i responded by saying something equally reductive. I dont care if young ppl interact with my blog, i just wish she didnt jump onto a vent post i made a week ago about a homophobic bisexual coworker that had like...no notes & turn tinto a post insulting me and w several people saying they want me stabbed bloody and dead () but we dont all get what we want, so Biphobia is just homophobia and misogyny apparently.

10 Favorite Game/Anime/Movie Characters
Tagged by: @a-super-evil-cat-who-murders (thanks!!! It was fun!)
The Rules: Name your top 10 favorite characters from 10 different fandoms, then tag 10 different people.
Well I’ve already done a tag for FEMALE CHARACTERS so I’ll leave this in case you wanna check it. For not repeating myself, I’ll do this time just male characters.
I’ll tag: @luluvonv @luthienamell @adayka @hydraballista @anyathebloodshell @anentireamazon @jar-cup @kim-v-croft  @autumn-star93 @lady-trent
Of course don’t feel obliged to do this. And yes my characters come in not a particular order!
1. Haplo the Patryn - The Death Gate Cycle (book series)
Tumblr media
Posting an amazing fanart by Melusaaste because there’s not an official art that shows him so close-up, and honestly, this is the most accurate depiction of him I’ve ever seen.
Haplo is the anti-hero and main character of The Death Gate Cycle series written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Personal childhood hero (despite being an antihero himself), husbando and whatnot, until today he’s one of my fav characters ever, because through him I learnt the most perfect character development, from a cruel, merciless and amoral villain, to... well, not a hero if you think so, but to redeemed human being.
“A 'why' is a dangerous thing... It challenges old, comfortable ways, forces people to think about that they do instead of just mindlessly doing it.” - Haplo in Dragon Wing, the first volume of the series.
2. Johan Liebheart - Monster
Tumblr media
You don’t know what’s a villain until you meet this bastard. I am not an otaku or very enthusiastic of anime series, but Monster by Naoki Urasawa are probably the best manga/anime series ever written. And his villain, Johan Liberheart, one of the most twisted fucks ever written by an author.
Tortured, mentally ill, twisted, cruel, amoral, there’s no way to explain Johan. He experiences no character development and he has not a single redeeming quality, yet you just can’t let him go. An unforgettable character, not recommended for the weak and vulnerable.
There's nothing special about being born. Not a thing. Most of the universe is just death, nothing more. In this universe of ours, the birth of a new life on some corner of our planet is nothing but a tiny, insignificant flash. Death is a normal thing. So why live?
3. Geralt of Rivia - The Witcher (book/videogame series)
youtube
I’m so sorry I met this amazing character through The Witcher videogame series, because he existed already in the book series of the same name written by  Andrzej Sapkowski, and I really feel like posting this video because it perfectly sums up the spirit of the character.
Geralt is a witcher, a mutant specialist in killing demons and monsters for coin. He’s shaped like an anti-hero and despised by his society because of his nature and his mercenary job, but despite having everything for being just a rogue scoundrel, he manages to become a very rich character. Full of redeeming qualities despite his grey morals, Geralt struggles in a cruel Middle-Ages world to keep something human for himself, when everyone surrounding him tries to turn him in the heartless freak he was trained to be.
“People," Geralt turned his head, "like to invent monsters and monstrosities. Then they seem less monstrous themselves. When they get blind-drunk, cheat, steal, beat their wives, starve an old woman, when they kill a trapped fox with an axe or riddle the last existing unicorn with arrows, they like to think that the Bane entering cottages at daybreak is more monstrous than they are. They feel better then. They find it easier to live.” ― Andrzej Sapkowski, The Last Wish
4. Raistlin Majere - The Dragonlace (book series)
Tumblr media
Again, I’ve to go back to a character created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman (man, this people CAN write characters I tell you), this time for the Dragonlance series. These books are less original and brilliant than The Death Gate Cycle, but more popular and beloved because they are easier to read. And Raistlin Majere is probably the best character written for these series, being saved among them because of being, probably, the less cliché and the more complex of them all.
And again, anti-hero at times, redeemed hero at other times, tortured, twisted, cynic and cruel, but also able to show kindness and a human heart at times. Raistlin was born weak and sick and sacrificed everything (including his own health) for one sake: magic. And power. His only life desire is what will lead him to his own destruction.
"Of course this means a lot to me, Caramon. It means everything! I have worked and studied almost my entire life for this chance. What would you have me do - cast it aside because it is dangerous? Life is dangerous, Caramon. Just stepping out that door is dangerous! You cannot hide me from danger. Death floats in the air, creeps through the window, comes in with the hand-shake of a stranger. If we stop living because we fear death we have already died."
5. Tyrion Lannister (A Song of Ice and Ice/Game of Thrones series)
Tumblr media
This little amazing piece of awesomeness needs no presentation. I am again sorry I met through the Game Of Thrones TV series and not A Song Of Ice And Fire books, but it was totally worth it because it’s one of the most well-written characters I’ve had the pleasure to meet, and I must say Peter Dinklage was born to play him.
What can I say? Tyrion is one of those characters who are worth living. A dwarf, deformed, ugly, with no physical or war skills, relying only in his extreme intelligence and wisdom and his political talent to survive, he’s one of the most strong inspirations one can find. Definitely go check him.
6. Kurtis Trent (Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness videogame)
Tumblr media
I included Lara Croft in my female characters list, it would be absolutely unfair to forget Kurtis as he’s the other character that got my heart in TR series. Not gonna rant long about him here, because you already know my opinion. He was amazing. He deserved better. Ex-legionnaire, demon hunter and Lux Veritatis warrior, I’ve devoted all my fanfics to develop him as there was no chance for Core Design to do it so.
Fitting more in the role of a hero, I think he was also the perfect partner for Lara. His background is very well written and he had a lot of potential. The fact I will never see it doesn’t change anything. He deserves his place here.
"And I thought this would be one of my easy days." - Kurtis, The Sanitarium.
7. L Lawliet - Death Note (manga/anime series)
Tumblr media
Again, I reinforce the statement that I’m not a fan of manga/anime series, but definitely Death Note is, together with Monster, one of those you should watch. And yes for everyone who loves Death Note, I’m a L fan. You always choose between L or Kira sides, and despite I’ve to recognize that Kira is a very complex, well written character, it’s L who gets my heart.
Supertalented, amoral, brilliant, extremely unpredictable and surprising, L is the first one of the agents that will try to catch Kira, the murderer who uses a Death Note to implant his particular justice world. L deserves your attention more than Kira, I presume. Or at least, it’s what I think.
“There are... many types of monsters in this world: Monsters who will not show themselves and who cause trouble; monsters who abduct children; monsters who devour dreams; monsters who suck blood, and... monsters who always tell lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance. They are much more cunning than other monsters. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart. They eat even though they've never experienced hunger. They study even though they have no interest in academics. They seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such a monster, I would likely be eaten by it. Because in truth, I am that monster.”
8. V - V for Vendetta (graphic novel/movie)
Tumblr media
I know, easy to love him, right? Again I’m sad that I met this character through the movie and not the original graphic novel, though you can’t say a thing against Hugo Weaving’s magnificent delivery. I wish I could get my hands on the graphic novel, so I can know him better.
Anarchist, terrorist, idealist, V is the incarnation of the protest against dictatorship and opression in a dystopian England that has supressed all the rights and human freedom. If you don’tknow him, I strongly recommend at least the movie, for the inspiration this character delivers goes beyond that the mask that has trascended the movie itself to become a symbol of citizen fight.
9. Roger - American Dad (TV series)
Tumblr media
Well technically he’s not a he, he’s rather an it, but whatever. Also he’s it’s a different trend in this post since I love him particularly because he’s funny and incarnates all the non-political correct you can expect from someone.
He also gives me, kinda, TR vibes. Roger is an alien who landed in Earth during Cold War and was rescued and sheltered at his home by Stan, a CIA agent who’s the main character of the series. Honestly I think Roger is the best of American Dad - a TV show which basically and mercilessly mocks every American value - because despite being an alien is absolutely, indecently human. I prefer him and this show much more than the overrated Family Guy.
10.  Dwight Schrute - The Office (TV series)
Tumblr media
Last but not the least, the efficient, clever and adorable bastard hillbilly from The Office. I loved him from the very first moment he appeared. Yeah I know many people hate him or prefer the goofy boss of the handsome Jim but Dwight is really my spirit animal and speaks to me in so many levels. No more comment needed. He’s the best of the show to me.
Well this took forever, right? Sorry for the length of this post but now I’m free I wanted to give it some thought. I see again that I’ve a soft spot for grey morals, redeeming qualities, bad boys and complex characters. This is how it goes! ;)

Aquarius female: Mind, Body, and Soul ♒
She’s grace, she’s odd, she’s a goddess in human form, she’s the Aquarian female, the original water bearer of the Gods. Unlike her male counterpart who was a mortal hand picked by Zeus to become the new immortal cupbearer, Ganymede, Hebe was born an immortal. ‘Daughter’ of Hera (it was actually Hera in her virgin form), she was born a goddess who was nonetheless pleased to carry the task of self-rejuvenation to pour out immortal life sustenance and give divine substance. She’s a beautiful mutant, a saving grace to all, to both Humanity and the Gods. She rules the 11th house of future goals, community objectives, and spiritual unity.
She is wise beyond her years and she has a deep understanding of human behavior and divinity that go hand in hand. Separating the two would limit human spiritual experience. But she’s not so full of herself to be so self-absorbed by her own ego, unlike her male counterpart, she is humble and she rather invest her time and energy pouring herself onto anyone who she comes across. She is ready to serve those in need and who wish to experience heaven here on earth. She’s love, grace, and hope and she endows those same qualities unto the collective community. She’s unjudgemental, understanding, and hopeful and she instills self-confidence and self-motivation unto others. Anyone around her can feel incapable of any wrongdoing, she’s intoxicatingly beautiful inside and out and highly addictive.
She pours herself unto men. Making zero judgement or living up to societies expectations. Thinking of ways how to better serve others and make others happy, often neglecting her own needs. But, she keeps on living with that optimistic and whimsical attitude. Being a cheerleader to the underdogs and anyone who seems to be broken. Championing for those impoverished souls, standing up and becoming symbols of Hope, and fighting against opression and societies detriments. Becoming self-empowered women with great influence over others so that they themselves can become empowered. One can see this trait in famous Aquarian females: Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks, Virginia Wolf, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Oprah Winfrey, and Ellen DeGeneres.
Most might assume that she’s making up for all this kindness due to her own faults and misery. But quite the contraire. She’s so pure in her intentions that most people end up taking advantage of our poor Aquarian. Including the men in her life. One might mistake her as a doormat due to her tendency to tolerate her partners idiosyncrasies as she usually ends up with an overbearing partner. Unlike the Aquarian male who’s striving to become this guru sent down from Mt. Olympus, she searches for a partner who she can mold herself into. A husband she can look up to and become one with. She subconsciously looks for odd characers, underdogs, misunderstood men. A man who has so much potential for greatness. And who better to help him achieve such status if not our rejuvenating cheerleader?
The problem with this vision is that she usually ends up with men who trample all over our Aquarian. And because she’s so compliant and graceful in relationships, she keeps quiet. Tolerating his behavior, keeping score, and counting the days when she’ll permanently walk away. She’s not a doormat nor a pushover as many believe. No. What she is doing is giving her all in her relationships so when the day comes that she needs to walk away, she will walk away for good with no guilt whatsoever. She gives her heart, mind, and soul to her partner and whatever he does with that, falls on him, not on her. So when her ex regrettably comes back remorseful for having treated our Aquarian wrongly, she’ll lay out all the cards she’s kept to herself all those years. Her ex will be left speechless, begging for forgiveness and a second opportunity.
An Aquarian is capable of forgiveness and second chances but when an Aquarian decides it’s enough, it’s enough. She will cast you out from her heart and mind, not looking back. She will have learned her lesson with each new passing relationship. ‘She will learn to not cast her pearls before swine’. She’ll soon find a man who is worthy of her affections. Someone who isn’t afraid of her true emotional depth. And when she finds herself in the arms of a man who finally takes care of her fragile heart, she experiences rapture.
As innocent and childlike as she might appear, she’s actually not. She exudes vibrancy and colorful lights but step inside behind those closed doors and you’ll realize that our Aquarian has a whole different persona. She’s feisty and coquettish in the budoir. Showing off her many flavor colored condoms, vibrators, and toys to her partner and she will do so so excitedly. One wonders, ‘Where did that innocent Aquarian go?’ She’s still there riding that hog she’s been wanting to pounce for a while (and had been fantasizing about). Mixing in pleasure with fun. Letting go of her inhibitions and showing a true and sexy side to her personality. It can be extremely alluring to any man, or woman, who witnesses the Aquarian going off on herself like if it was her first time. She’s enticing and addicting and her husband can truly feel free in the bedroom. Because she’s so open to anything, her husband can fulfill his deepest fantasies with her. Play dress up? She beat you to it…Sex in the alley behind the dumpster? You read my mind…S&M? Why didn’t you ask sooner?… Oral under the table? Baby I’m already there… Anything you can think of she will be open to and even if she doesn’t agree, she will suggest other alternatives.
Because to an Aquarian sex should be free and loving. She let’s go of all those negative emotions (or at least supress them for a while longer). Sex to her is an experience that she feels grounds her down to terra firme. Because she’s so detached emotionally and so different, she feels like she can connect with her partner intimately via sex. All those deep feelings she had been supressing will come out in long sessions of love making, followed by laughter, high-fiving, and long conversations. Her husband can truly feel he has hit the trifecta…fucking, friendship, and no heavy sentiments? Bingo! What more can he ask for?
Of course our Aquarian will never settle for someone who she doesn’t feel a mental, emotional, and sexual connection with. She will subconsciously test her future significant other on many levels. Testing his boundaries because no matter how sweet she might come off, she’s actually a tempest. And he will never know he was subjected to such tests. She needs to know he’ll be able to handle her with ease and sensitivity but also with authority. If he fails, she will ghost herself out of existence only to pop up years later with a ‘What’s up? How’s it going?' But, when he's managed to pass her many ‘tests’ she will enjoy letting him in into her true world. A world full of colorful rainbows, hope, love, grace, peace, and an exotic ‘lifestyle’. One can see why an Aquarian female is the true Goddess of the Zodiac.

1.) kurdish YPG warned Turkey's aggression against Rojava-canton-Efrin! 2.) Turkey's aggression against Efrin and issue in town Idlib explained. ( Post from imgur user @RojavaHasDefenceForce): Reading this could help a bit to get an idea of how the next steps in Syria crisis will be about... Before we start translating the article: There is an @OP appendix at the bottom of this post: it's about why posts like this just started in first place. Thank you. This is a damn long post i know. sorry about not being able to shorten it. (you still can omit the @OP appendix at the bottom of the text...) Before we look at the LOOONG interview with YPG commander, please let me give you some little hints with which reading the rest of the text everyting will be clearer in first place: To put it short: The nightmare for enemies of kurdish achievements like in Rojava for instance Turkey right now is following scenario: Kurdish YPG etc. fight their way through enemy lines for the aim to fully combine the 3 already proclaimed kurdish cantons (Jazira, Kobane and Efrin are now self-governing...). Would this happen then kurdish Rojava on an geographic map would reach from eastern canton (Jazira) to Kobane then to the far west to Efrin which Turkey is gonna try to sabotate this issue with one fear many other enemies of Kurds share alike: The Kurds could liberate kurdish area up to the sea area (left on the map). This is the so called "White Sea". It is a general fear of (not only) Turkey that after having liberated Raqqa soon the Kurds could make the above move (joining all 3 kurdish cantons up to the White Sea border, see map for more). This seems to be regarded as some kind of disaster for the enemies of kurdish people in general. After having successfully sabotated this potential achievement of Kurds (so seems to be the desire of Turkey government) all enemies of Kurds would again summon anew around a big round table with not only western support to ... (you get the idea?)... That means even many sides that are not publicly announced to have ties into this plans nevertheless share the same desire of Turkey... For those who still want to read here the interview: link: anfkurdi.com/rojane/ypg-hisyariya-efrine-da-tirkiye-gaveke-ji-nikari-nez-bibi-87304 link to map: https://i.imgur.com/TAIQSDL.png Sipan Hemo, the highest commander of the Peoples' Protection Unit (YPG) of Rojava Kurdistan (the norther part of Syria is called Rojava region) has given out a clear warning to the aggression of Turkey's and its' allied terrorist fighters: "You will definitely not be able to even approach Efrin with one single step. Therefore YPG, YPJ, Ceys el Siwar and Kurds will teach you an historical lesson!" article from Saturday, 14.10.2017, 09:37 [hint by @OP: the original source is in non-english-language (it's in kurdish) and even i needed help to collect this for you, so enjoy :) ] All in all, the article covers somehow the strong presence of Turkey's military occupying Idlib (town in Syria, very very strategic location...). The article says the eyes of the whole world (foreign policy...) is directed versus Idlib and what is being done there right now... To put it short, it says that occupation of Idlib by Turkey right now has the ONE and ONLY aim: surrounding militarily the kurdish canton Efrin (in Rojava) and completely wiping out the kurdish (not only militarily) achievements so far. In the interview commander Sipan Hemo said that: * if Turkey attacks Efrin or Şehba [@OP remark: another town in that region] then they will give Turkey a historical lesson. * to put it short: he said that right now, Idlib has been turned into a nest for all those operating groups that work for powers and forces from abroad who's aim is the fall of the Syrian regime. This is why also so many secret services of countries like Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia - and even involvement by forces of USA and Russia are existent in this place. * he said that Turkey has failed in the Middle East. * he gave hint to the fact that the other groups of (quotation:) "komên çete" (see explanation below) inside Syria after having signed agreement with the Syrian regime have alltogether been gathered inside the town Idlib. for your info: "komên çete") describes those groups (translated from "kom") that are not really fighting to liberate the people in Syria but only either to replace the Syrian regime for sitting instead on the totalitarian throne or even only acting as a military puppet for foreign countries' interests inside Syria The YPG commander explained that these are the reasons why every side has an own calculation of his own upon Idlib. Referring to the plans of Turkey, he said (translation based on context): "Turkey which has lost in the Middle East in every side cannot successfully pull through its dreams of creating anew an 'Ottoman Empire'. It's policy in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya failed. Whatever with Yemen it couldn't even gain any role. No matter which plans it had put for itself on the table it failed pulling all them successfully through and step by step failed." As a summary he added that as a result of all these reasons it is mobilizing all of its abilities and tries to bind its' existence to Idlib. YPG commander Sipan Hemo made also this statement: All the policy and plans related to Middle East on the part of Turkey - after they failed: with time they all retransformed into 1 single aim and project: the war against the Kurds, destroying the achievements made by Kurds so far and preventing any new achievement of the Kurds. In this context the turkish government has build its' policy upon enmity against Kurds and on this basis has made negotiations with actors on this field. [hint by @OP: please understand that this really is a "short part of the full interview" and that it's very tedious to write each and every word down at least for this imgur post. The next part will be a vague summary which on the other hand will not be able to encompass everything from the interview...] In the following sentences the YPG commander emphasized the tactical way how Turkey had the Syrian towns Hama and Heleb be attacked by militants paid by Turkey in order to get both, the Syrian regime and its' russian ally get into panic. This way the regime and its' ally would in panic pull back from advancing in town Dêra Zor so they would not lose both to them very strategic cities... By continuing he said to the reporter that this way through this panic negotiations followed and at the end of the day Turkey was granted Idlib. And instead of fighting El Nusra terror group which did hold grip on the South of Idlib, again one negotiation later El Nusra gave that place without any fighting over to Turkey which this time again will be accompanied by absolutely all of its possibilities regarding state-of-the-art weaponry from western and other continents also as well as full logistic supplies etc. To put it short: So what can be seen is that the target for coming into Idlib for Turkey policy is solely the attack on kurdish canton Efrin... To put it very short: Sipan Hemo, the highest commander of the Peoples' Protection Unit (YPG) of Rojava Kurdistan (the norther part of Syria is called Rojava region) gave here the clear statement as response to the aggression of Turkey's and its' allied terrorist fighters: "You will definitely not be able to even approach Efrin with one single step. Therefore YPG, YPJ, Ceys el Siwar and Kurds will teach you an historical lesson!"... He went even further and told that no matter what high developed arsenal and technology and whatever not only Turkey but also those countries giving support to Turkey and even if all those make use of EACH AND ANY possibilities of them in their plans they have set for Efrin and Şehba even then they will not be able to approach even one single step. He added that if Turkey were really to attack them then the hard answer against this attacks would [to put it short:] not be limited to that particular area but the enemy attacking would become target anywhere else it were... Let's end the interview for today... These were the most basic parts Appendix of @OP (optional to the text above but.... you're welcome) (was dedicated to imgur.com but won't modify it...) ...whatever... Hello dear users I really don't know at all how to start let alone how to write the posts on imgur. I really like imgur.com so much and even spent big time in passion watching this amazing and somehow almost addictive looking features of imgur. Once you want to see how and what users on imgur like you have in mind to share with each other, commenting hillariously on each other's comments, exchanging experience etc. You get it? Right! It's a world you don't want to miss anymore since you meet so many users you wished you would do in real life... That's awesome!!! So why i describe it this way, my feelings? The answer is not short but i guess i can share it with you on imgur since on imgur you..... share?.... :-) Recently i dug a lot into news about game consoles, in particular about the launch of Microsoft's XBOX One X around november... it is said this one is really to become an amazing console. So here my point: One day i just - can't even explain accordingly - imagined ridiculously: "So many years the XBOX was not successful enough on the gaming field (3 console launches within a short period of 4 years or so?). Rival Nintendo and Sony are some how better off..." "What if XBOX could be sold to millions of people in the MiddleEast once all wars are settled down and safety takes place..." "That would be like healing ointment for giants like XBOX company and co: People out there barely have seen one day without struggle for existence or safety within brutal dictatorial Regimes (let's say everyone should at least have heard by now about the Assad-regime in Syria...) that opress many peoples within their reach..." "Today many people out there do not have enough electrity or even a refrigerator... speaking in their mother-language was long time impossible in public etc. but when peace and freedom will hopefully soon reach also those peoples which are suffering to the very day (see Syria conflict)...:" "Then also those peoples will want to consume things like crazy: invest in let's say, refrigerators, ......., XBOX One X.." "Hey wait! Did I just say XBOX?" I laughed at myself a lot.. but also knew.. why not? It's damned about time! This is when i realized writing on beloved imgur for users about MidEast issues. Because one should always keep in mind about the MiddleEast: the MiddleEast has become such reactionary in many manners while western world were thriving into high standards and technology... because: One opinion is that unlike the western neighbour, the Middle East people society were alltime based on "tribe" and such groups and structure instead of focussing on sth. like: "Hey! We are all one nation, one people!" or sth. This way they never could develop the need or spirit to draw lines between groups of groups (building a viable people...) but only between one's group (tribe...) and another's... Another opinion is (if some do not even combine both opinions...): the western modern world is not so rich under its earth and on the surface of its earth... It is said that agriculture and stuff like this first got invented in areas of Middle East... It is told that the first empires (reaches far back to the times of the Sumer...) were to be born in Middle East area, not e.g. the East or West area... So the richness and fertility of the area around Mesopotamia etc. are all areas with histories reaching back thousands of years... Since the western neighbours united themselves (war after war and declaring unity after unity) there was also the interest of them to have always colonial powers and the strategic tactics: If you divide your aim, you rule better over them... Thus let's say Libya: obviously a ruler was put on the map on the table and that new state got designed. Other examples: Per vile treaty of Lausane (in Switzerland 1923) the kurdish people was SPLIT into 4(!) parts to make it impossible to regain what it lost this way... with now 4(!) enemies torturing their desire to be a unity, one people, and be respected in international area: instead they were up until recently neglected to hell... recently you ask? Well since defeating ISIS in Kobane and onwards at the latest, the fruits of the kurdish struggle for freedom around their leader Abdullah Ocalan since nearly 4(!) decades has made Rojava Kurds now a strategic player on the stage of policy and interests even for the foreign policy of USA. The USA foreign policy is ambitious and unlike other powers (especially unlike Europe's foreign policy) the USA seems to be one of the kind that can change in order thrive and not be fixed to old views forever risking to lose EVERYTHING once things don't go as expected... If nothing unpredictable occurs, let's say an all-out-war where everyone just loses and loses and loses (primarily MidEast itself!) and all will be burried into dust and blood or sth...: If this will not happen than the wars of plundering and ISIS & co. will cease from existing because they would become an absolutely ineffective "tool" in the hands of plotters and oppressors anymore.. Having said and thought about this while anyone checking the news coming daily from MidEast (Syria, ISIS, ... Rojava kurds...): One thing that is predictable for sure is: This is it! This is the turning point that occurs once in thousands years...: When the fight for freedom seemingly out of reach for hundreds of years, is for the first time in history doable while succeeding! The struggle of Rojava & co. could at this very time could be set equal to a "badly needed RENAISSANCE" for the people to stop living reactionary and in chains by dictators like the Assad regime etc. While other people in history not seldom wait for help from abroad for being rescued... the kurdish Rojava is today shaking the world with a military power that even caught the interest and respect of America's foreing policy itself! When America changes it's foreign policy, then sooner or later everyone will do! In the past this was not seldom the case! Concerning MiddleEast, there are so many warmongers and terroristic organisations (ISIS, El Nusra, ...) and their conductors involved... all want to cement or fortify their hegemonial or what ever interests, be it strategical, tactical or simply political ones. As an example let's just look at Iran's aspiration regarding it's hegemonial claims in that region... But it doesn't mean Turkey is different: they're even more brutal and blood-licking (especially when their victims are kurds then all what Turkey wants to do (if they could) is genocidal wipe from surface). I took a lot of your time reading all along, sorry for that and thanks anyway. Appreciate a lot. I do promise you posts will be cut as short as possible except for it's according to the content not adviseable or even possible to do so (when topics are so mingled...). Glad to be with you and for you all on imgur. Thank again for your attention. PS: some typing errors are to be expected... :-) Any critics are welcome and appreciated. Have a great time
