Okay, I need to finally talk about my dumb theory I've been thinking about every time it's crossed my mind.

The Psyche Theory

In basic terms, this is all a metaphor for the teenage mental health struggles.

Let me explain.......studios (I had to). Fair warning that none of this is going to make sense because I can't explain things in an organized manner when I'm trying to write down 50 things spiraling around in my brain.

For starters, I feel like the severity of each person's injuries and how long it took for them to heal reflects their own traumas from the past. Maybe it reflects how long it took for them to heal from their pasts.

Tyler

When he was young, potentially 8 or 9, his dad had passed away. It might have been sudden, it might have been a slowburn, but regardless of how long it took, Ethan had passed away, leaving his wife and children alone to fend for themselves. Mariana didn't take this well, and grieved heavily, resulting in her being unable to care for her kids. Seeing that she wasn't going to be able to care for him and Taylor, Tyler took it upon himself to care for the both of them, become the new man of the house.

At the age of 8.

He learned to cook, do the laundry, fix things up, cut hair, everything. For years, he had been taking care of the house. He potentially lost his sense of self, his sense of childhood joy. At 8, he lost his childhood, and became a man.

So having a chance to actually have fun with this group he's stuck with potentially helped him heal. Even if it was just a little bit. But it'll take a while for him to heal properly.

Just like how when he got impaled in the stomach, it took him a lot longer to heal. Heavy and lasting pain equals an as big injury in the phantom dimension. This trauma correlates with his emotional state.

Aiden

For all of his childhood, Aiden had been alone. His parents traveled often, and he spent very little of his free time with either of them. It was sad, lonely, and depressing. However, when he was at his lowest, he discovered a new way to live life...on the edge. Suddenly, he found the adrenaline he had been desperately craving. He had never felt so close to death...he could almost taste the end of the rope.

Who knew whether or not he was aware that he was secretly craving death. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't.

But his mind did. It always knew.

When he had died in the phantom dimension, he healed quickly because he was used to the feeling of death. He was used to wanting the sweet relief of it.

His mind recovered quickly, because it never actually recovered at all.

It just adjusted to the new situation. Like it had always been doing.

Again and Again.

Logan

Not much to say here, but we can work with what we know about his past. Logan's grandparents were a part of a huge crime group, and possibly taught Logan something about guns as well before they fully retired. Who knows what else there is to the story, of if Logan's parents are involved.

Using what we know about his parents (based off of what Barron said), we'll assume Logan's parents left him young, and this affected him badly since he was most likely young and confused, wondering why his mom and dad left him alone.

It correlates to his injury because while it was pretty bad and hurt him, he soon got over it eventually, and was able to somewhat heal...but the scar still remains, reminding him that he still has some trauma relating to the issue.

Ashlyn

Just like Logan, but slightly different, we just have to base this off of what we've seen so far.

Of course, Ashlyn doesn't actually have a traumatizing backstory, but that doesn't mean she's affected by her past mentally. Considering that she has hypersensitive hearing, this might have caused issues for her growing up. Especially with hearing phantom noises, which definitely can't be something pleasant for a little kid to hear. Though because it wasn't too affecting, her scar also healed pretty quick, but still lingers because of the affects it had on her at a vulnerable age.

That's kind of the main topic for this theory. Other ideas I've formed are just kind of what I've observed and tried to apply to mental health.

Honestly, the phantoms are seen as parasitic since they require a host to make it to the real world. But you know what else is parasitic (at least metaphorically)? Mental illnesses.

Like a parasite, it usually never benefits the person. Usually, it's negative or at least affects one's life. So, you could say the phantoms are a symbol of mental illnesses. I don't know how else to really explain it, nor back it up with evidence, but there is the small resemblance.

Oh wait, maybe I can.

The phantoms attack the kids and anyone who is living, and when they are able to get their way, they crawl into the person, using it as their host. I guess that could represent letting a mental illness take over your mind, resulting in harm to yourself.

However, the phantoms had only been able to harm the kids temporarily, never permanently. This could mean that the kids aren't succumbing to their "demons" just yet; they still have some fight in them to battle their traumas. Or something idk.

Also I remember rambling to myself about this concept

I think the regular phantoms represent more "minor" mental illnesses (not comparing how bad each one is, it's just separating from "It's manageable day to day" to "I'm on the verge of ending it all or harming others") while the centipedes are representative of more severe illnesses (Such as extreme depression, selfharming and and that, bi-polar, etc).

Or ig the more severe side of these mental issues.

Logan and Ashlyn got attacked by the regular phantoms, signaling that their traumas aren't as severe and probably healed over time. Aiden, on the other hand, got indirectly attacked by a centipede phantom. We already know this guy is probably suicidal, so....

Other things I should mention are probably the parents and cranes (Y'all should know I can never go a day without at least mentioning the cranes once). Seeing that the parents are in the phantom dimension permanently, but have yet to become infected could conclude that despite being like other typical cases, they're actually still fighting off whatever traumas they have. They're adults, so it's probably likely that the older you are, the less likely you are to get out of the PD. But this idea gets shot down since Lily is in the picture. I guess I could argue that maybe it's the severity of trauma. Banners were in the military, Fields were in a mafia and probably killed people, Mariana literally has a severe mental illness where she believes her husband is still alive to cope, idk bout the Clarks, but they probably got something, and Lily is a little girl, which means she's most likely heavily traumatized from the events.

The cranes? Uh, Ryan lost three kids under his watch and got blamed for it, Charlie....he quite literally said he's mentally ill and beat up people just for the fun of it, Jasmine's related to Maverick, and idk bout Hudson, but I have a theory/hc that he had a wife and kid, but lost them to a tragic event, and the police did nothing to help him, hence why he joined Maverick's cult (I'm also assuming he's in the cult since he got a name drop, and actually told Charlie what was happening). He also has eyes (I've noticed for the most part that unimportant characters aren't given eyes? Even when they're up close, like those guards who were trying to get the kids back during the train jump scene). There were probably times when a bg character was given eyes in the recent episodes, but the point still stands. Anyways, back to the theory...

Also, the Cranes are in a cult. Gasp, really??

Cults are already traumatizing as is. So....

Imma now just list off random miscellaneous things I've thought of just now or earlier on

-Infected symbolize those who had fallen to their mental struggles

-The phantom dimension is the physical version of the mental state

-Maverick probably wants control of this so he could combine the mental dimension with the real dimension, causing a possible paradox, ending the world??

-If we're going down the "it's just symbolism" path, then this is a representation of teenagerhood struggles. Notice how the only characters who are able to leave the PD are teenagers?? Hmmmm....

-when the kids started taking care of themselves in the phantom dimension, they started to heal physically in the real world. Representation of giving yourself mental breaks to heal??

-Jasmine has a centipede tattoo, could that mean that her issues are severe?? Most likely considering she's brainwashed and being manipulated by her own brother. Also there's smoke (or fire...could be smoke though) behind the centipede. Possibly signaling that she's hiding her issues....behind A MASK. THAT'S WHY I CALLED IT HEALINGMASK--

-Charlie could probably hear the phantom noises? Who knows whether or not he was mocking the parents because he knew about Ash's super hearing or not...but this applies to the theory because again, mentally unwell. Maybe a select few are more connected to their mental consciousness than others? Who knows.

-It's the fact that their injuries only showing up in the PD but not the real world is basically just another way of saying how mental scars may not be physical, but they are just as hurtful as any real scar. (highlighting this one because it's actually more important than I realized....)

🍀Quick edit i forgot to put in but Crayfree made a post in regards to how everything was so fast paced, and that was what inspired me to finally make this post...and I forgot to mention it...

But basically, the quick pace of all these events could also represent how so sudden these types of things happen in life. You don't expect something horrible to happen to you, but it is very much possible. It's literally what happened in the comic. The kids went into a haunted tourist place, not thinking anything about it...and the effect of that situation is that they are now fighting for their lives in a dimension of hell. It happened suddenly, quickly, and mainly quietly.

And it's also just like how them getting kidnapped after two PD deaths was so sudden as well. One minute you're crying, the next you're yelling to be freed. 🍀

Alright, I guess that's all I have for now...I don't know how else to explain this theory, but it's actually pretty fun. I've been thinking about this idea for a while now, and I'm so glad to finally share it omg </3

MIZI + SUA

10/10, best nurse duo. With Sua and Mizi, you get attention 24/7 and are pampered until you've fully recovered!

When Mizi found out you were sick, she got to you as quickly as possible, asking you frantic questions like whether you were okay and what happened.

Sua was the one to find out since you had been in bed rolling around in sweat so she took your temperature and wham! high fever!

They cancel any plans they have that day to make sure you're alright/

Sua is always checking in on you if you ever need anything, also giving your scalp a soft message.

Covered in warm blankets and a wet towel on your head, you groan and say thank you to both of them since they were so sweet. They just laugh and say, Of course, since you're close to them.

They also make chicken and vegetable soup, which is super good! They talk to you about their day or funny things that happened even though you can only reply with groans.

You recover quickly!

MIZI + IVAN

6/10 treated you like a baby! but forgot a bit of the essentials

You guys slept outside, waking them both up with your constant sneezing and soft groans in your sleep.

They hover over you and make brief eye contact with each other. Sua is the one who usually knows what to do but without her being here, Mizi kind of freezes and panics.

They are kind of stupid at first, but they get the hang of things quickly!

Ah, you do this, I'll do that!! With smiles, they run to get what they need- leaving you to wake up on your own, a bit upset.

Mizi comes back first, hugs you, and rambles on about how worried she is before making you lie down and placing a cold towel on you.

Ivan takes a damn long time, but he holds up the soup he made proudly before making you sit up. He holds the spoon to your lips- "Now say ah~"

Embarrassed, you shake your head, but Mizi nods along, encouraging Ivan as he makes stupid plane or train noises to get you to eat.

When you finally finish eating, they realize they never got you blankets, so instead, they use themselves as blankets! Yay! they got sick later

TILL + IVAN

5/10, with Ivan and Till you get to experience Till yelling at Ivan while Ivan just playfully teases the both of you.

Till actually attempts to help you get better while Ivan is just there to annoy you both is what basically sums this up.

When Till got the call from Ivan that you were sick, not even a minute later, he was barging in with everything you probably needed.

He starts yelling at Ivan about why you were on the floor, and Ivan just says the floors are cold; he thought that would help.

it was like a mother and a father arguing again while you were just there, completely neglected. Once they find out, though, they quickly stop and like lock in or soemthing.

the rest of the day they sit next to ur bed, giving you anything you need, probably watching something together as well.

TILL + LUKA

-10/10 with Till and Luka you experience a hell hole of none stop competition and a nightmare

thats what you thought when they were fighting over which blankets they should put on you.

Till would pick one, but then Luka would say something like oh yeah but this is their favorite and blah blah, Till just threw the blanket at Luka.

When they got to your comfort stuffed animal and which one you would like to have while ur sick, it was even worse; in the end, they just covered you in a pile of your stuffed animals.

and they both made their individual soup were if you picked one first the other was going to get mad, you finished both soups and Luka's tasted like straight up poison, making you instantly throw up.

They both scream in worry, forgetting their competition.

LUKA + HYUNA

if it was only Hyuna it'd be a 10/10 but luka was there poking you and making fun of you the whole time so knock it down to a 7/10

Hyuna is the best at taking care of you when youre sick and she doesn't mind pampering you all day long!

In the middle of you being in heaven enjoying ur sick time with Hyuna- she was away making food, Luka barges in unaware of ur state before saying ew why do you look like that.

Once he finds out you're sick, he doesn't leave, just to make your experience so much more enjoyable. He'd tease you about sweating so much or having snot in your nose, which was horrible.

When Hyuna comes back, she screams at him, seeing him pulling on ur cheeks and making another jab at ur sick state.

in the end, Hyuna had two patients to care for because she wrapped Luka in a cacoon next to you, hoping that would make him sick.

seeinmg him trying to squirm away from ur arms is such a sight for her.

they really need more security, dallas thought as he snuck into the theatre through the back entrance. he just came right in without a ticket and no one stopped him.

he was late, he knew. he took a seat in the left wing, in an empty space in the front row, about to light up a cigarette when the lights dimmed and the curtain rose.

he saw the spotlight on you, you and your beautiful self in costume, and he couldn't help but stare, transfixed as he heard the first spoken line that left your lips.

your voice was loud, carrying across the auditorium so far that the people in the back knew exactly what you said, the mic only enhancing it. it sounded like honey dripping down the side of a jar- thick and sweet.

for the majority of the show, dallas' eyes were on you, looking you up and down and trying to catch your eye. you didn't even notice him there, being too caught up in your performance.

once it ended, he could hear people chattering about you as they exited.

"...you see the lead? man, they really killed it up there."

"they're a real looker, that one."

"i hope they come to perform here again."

hearing those things made dallas' ego inflate, especially since you were his and they were praising you.

he casually walked backstage, past the sweaty and gaping actors, his eyes were only on you, taking your mic tape off of your cheek. he draped his arms around your hips and pressed a kiss to your cheek from the back.

"hey. did good out there." he mumbled, placing another kiss to your earlobe.

you laughed and patted his hand.

"thanks. did you come to pick me up?"

he nodded, his raspy voice right by your ear. "and to see you. cmon, i wanna take you to my place."

Reader is a single mum who moves into a house in the middle of nowhere. She lives on the ground level and the upstairs is supposed to be practically derelict and abandoned.

She does well to keep her kid away from it because you can never be to careful you don't know but somehow the little girl always manages to get into shenanigans...

One time you find her talking to the empty balcony that connected to the floor above, asking if they 'liked her new doll'(which you dont remember getting for her but I guess you just forgot?). You usher your daughter inside.

You daughter had also told you about how she got lost after waking up from a nightmare and her dolly (creepy fucking thing) told her to go into the little door. When you went to see the little door with her you were surprised you hadn't noticed the thing before but when you opened it up it was filled in with some kind of insulation.

Of course the little girl was adamant that shed went through and found a magical world where Mr Johnny and Mr Price and Blah blah blah soemthing soemthing Mr Ghost couldn't sleep without a bedtime story, honestly at that point you'd stopped listening. You were slightly worried of course and so decided to camp out the door through an old baby monitor you hadn't thrown away.

That night you see your daughter clutching her doll and some cans from your kitchen cupboard, opening the door before a muscular hand gripped hers gently and pulled her through somehow. You freak the fuck out, jump out of your bed and rush to the door where you find it closed, upon opening it you ripp our the insulation to find it had been hazardly placed there. Crawling through took you to a thin staircase leading to the apartment above where.

You start wailing and screaming as you burst into the upper floor trying to be intimidating only to find your daughter holding a picture book that went missing a little while ago and sat on the floor next to a man with a Mohawk and a man with a weird mask. Two other men were huddled in the corner opening the tins with a broken tin opener.

One of them jumps up from next to your daughter and stands infront of her protectivley "now, I get this looks bad..."

Is all he gets in before your screaming again.

Now I thought about thsi for a while and am still thinking about it so you might get a better one some point soon but I like the idea of them having to rely on this like 5 year old to bring them food and read them a story every night because they're hiding lol

Zane is a robot. Yes yes we already knew but there was always SOMETHING different about Zane that no one truly knew and was never invested into. What if after the merge he is more machine than ever. That he’s lost more of his humanity and that’s why he feels so off even MORE off without PIXAL because he doesn’t see anything wrong with himself and she could always see him better than anyone else. Yes he misses his GF but also he misses her because with her around he feels more human.

Hello Internet Humans,

in a move that was definitely not a smart one but by sheer dumb luck the universe did not kick my ass for attempting.

In a slim margin of 25 minutes before my work shift, I went to my Local Comic Book Store™ and picked up the second issue of Juni Ba's The Boy Wonder. Shout out to Packrat Comics, you bunch of funky little weirdos are my favorite.

I also managed to make it to work on time, like ten minutes early, by some miracle of god and/or time decided to favor me today or soemthing.

The comic is great! I got both the official cover and the variant bc they had both.

Juni Ba draws Damian as a little creachur and I love him, his art is so shapes.

Also this issue made me cry, it's very good jason/damian character parallel content, but yet another instance of no one at dc knowing how to not make jason look like he was thrown through the rinse cycle with a bag of gravel.

he doesnt wear ricks hat at the lineups or the pickups, usually its in his backpack. HE ACTUALLY THINKS RICK AND EVERYONE IS DEAD and negan would def put it into carls head if he found out (about rick being carls dad) that rick abandoned him or soemthing

Most characters taken from the 2003 series, but personality of turtles might be closer to Rise series

(I wrote this in the notes of my phone so forgive typos and weird thought process lol)

Casey is buttercup. April is westly (Originally, and what inspired this whole thing. Was that karai was buttercup and Chapman was westley lol)

The turtle bros work for stockman (bishop?) Because he says he has he will help them find their father's killer. A man who has 3 scars along his chin.

Casey just a simple farmer (oh my god. The farm house) with April there to help feed chickens and milk cows and such and such (Would she only say as you wish?? Would she be that submissive? Idk. Maybe she would as long as he promised not to call her babe lol) (LMAO HER PHRASE IS DONT CALL ME BABE INSTEAD OF AS YOU WISH LOLOLOL)

Eventually she goes off to maybe get soem schooling or soemthing. But her ship gets [sunk/destroyed] by the Dread Pirate Krang. April doesn't return and after years Casey believes she died.

Then the local royalty happens to pass by and the princess (karai)(who is told needs to find a husband so she can finally become queen) decides to make Casey her groom.

Casey still in a depressive gloom doesnt do much to reject her.

One day when Casey is out on a run (one of his few joys) he gets kidnapped by 4 demihuman turtles . :D

But then. A stranger begins to follow them. A (wo)man in black

I've mostly been going from 03 inspiration of character. But the turtles might be a little more Rise based.

Leo is inigo foil. The master swordsman. And the banter. "You seem a decent fellow, I hate to kill you" "you seem a decent fellow. I hate to die" I am not left handed. He Asks april "ever seen a man with 3 scars along his chin?" "Do you ask everyone that question?

Raph is Fezzik . Big. The muscle. (Kind) Mikey doesnt have a direct foil. May have his own individual fight with april or possibly works with raph. The muscle and taunting words and stuff idk

Stockman is arrogant and thinks hes the smartest around. Accepts April's challenge.

Don is there to keep a hold on Casey. (He plays the game a long in his mind that it doenst actually take any posion). Once stockman is dead, Don just asks for th truth about what happen to the rest of his brothers, April tells him they are just knocked out and will be fine. He says he doenst really care about keeping casey as they were just doing it to work with stockman and well he's dead so no point. Bye crazy smart lady and sad prince to be. And he leaves to meet up with his brothers.

Cue april trying to lead casey away and him being like. Oh you're the pirate that killed the love of my life! Blah blah blah so you can shove it babe!

*falling down hill* doooon't caaaaaall me baaaaaaabe! Oh my sweet april ehat have I done!? *throws self down cliff*

They go through the forest (lmao splinter as rous) (not actually but the image is funny)

And Karai and her advisor Oroku Saki meet them and casey begs her to let april go instead of killing her.

April notes that the advisor has 3 scars a long his chin. That's right. Shredder is what's his face and killed splinter. (Sorry splints. You had to die in this au)

April is taken to Bishop who experiments on his death machine. Just doing his job and having fun with his toys.

BUT

shredder shows up when he learns about the demihumans and asks too many questions about the demi humans shes ever encountered. (Theres a small but decent population in the kingdom) but especially that turtles she encountered last. April doesn't care (she does but more concerned about casey) and asks instead about casey and telling him shes never going to stop.

Ok so today i had my dads bday!! wow cool and awesome sauce. So, this was my first time seeing my family after moving in my dorm,5 days. It was really fun at first, we ate nando's, I was being super social blah blah, but yeah it drained me like a bitch. Midway in I just started laughing at the silliest things.

There was this cupcake thing, my older sister ordered it, she will be N, there was only one piece left and she gave it to my other sister, H, I was lowkey joking around saying I wanted it, i did a little. However, I already had a couple of bites before so N was like no im giving it to H. Lowkey was a little bummed but oh well, after this I looked down at my phone for a little bit, and when I looked back up I saw my sister handing my mom a plate with the cake bit cut smaller, while going my way. For some reason I had a face of absolute joy and was actually really fucking happy, turns out fuck me it was for my dad who sat besides my mom. My family saw this exchange right and they all laughed at me, I laughed along too, it was pretty funny. However I was laughing fucking hysterically, like crying, almost throwing up, could barely breath, i do laugh like this occaisonally, it means I'm tired as balls.

H and my dad were talking about how much she's been walking, and since iv also been walking(we go to the same uni) I wanted to brag as well since I'm allowed to do that, I checked my app for my steps, I realised the past two days i havent really been walking so I decided to not show them.(I didnt mention this but i was REALLY bragging like being loud as balls) My brother saw me take out my phone mid conversation being loud as balls, look at it then stop talking and put my phone down, we then locked eyes. Me and him suddenly started bursting out laughing and yet again i could barely breath laughing hysterically. But this time while i was laughing, I was hit with a wave of fucking exhaustion and sleep deprivation(I am sleep deprived AS FUCKING BALLS), but this wasnt all I felt, also I felt like a crazy desire to fucking burst out crying. Crying and laughing is a pretty close action uk, but unfortunately I resisted and just continued laughing. After that I didnt let the wave of cry bother me but im pretty sure i was noticebly less outgoing. My social battery was getting drained like a bitch.

Like 5 minutes after that, I looked behind only to see a little girl crying and that shit sent me into another fit of laughter. Take note, this is while my dad is like giving a speech about his birthday thanking god and blah blah BLAH, meanwhile im hunched over fucking in tears.

I settled down after enough time we all finished eating we were just talking, and then we were preparing to leave. I saw my sister say soemthing to my mom and I heard like wanted something, I thought they were talking abt getting food for themselves cuz H and I are gonna go back to our uni's after that. So, I interjected saying wait i want to as well( I thought they said get food) my mom said" Oh? you want to give a couple of words to dad for his birthday?" and my stupid ass said what? no? And then i realised it, my mom mentioned wanting to give a couple words for my dads bday not wanting to get food for later for uni AND THIS SENT ME INTO ANOTHER HYSTERICAL FIT. I could see on my dads face he was over with my ass. I explained my side of the story afterwards and it was all a silly goofy laugh.

When we were going back to the car, my social battery was already dead for awhile. We were at the parking lot we left the mall, and i saw a person behind my, i thought it was my sister, so i looked back TURNS OUT IT WAS SOME RANDOM ASS OLD GUY. AND I BURSTED OUT LAUGHING AGAIN AND MY SISTER GOT MAD AT ME TELLING ME NOT TO LAUGH CUZ YEA I JUST LOOKED AT HIM AND BURSTED OUT LAUGHING NOT NICE AT ALL.

And by that I mean holding back on angst

I’m not just talking about TSAMS or TLAES, I’m talkin’ ALL SHOWS (granted, i haven’t watched all of the recent show things but I do know they haven’t been to angst)

Now, you might think, “oh stardust, but we’ve had lots of angst! I mean think of Cassie on TRWAGS-“

Yeah, Cassie, the only one who has recently had a lot of angst, and it was only really her being mad her phone wasn’t working and talking a bit about her dad (im not including The Musical btw). I also feel like we should’ve had a lot more Gregory angst after Rocky’s death. I mean Gregory blamed himself for that, it wouldn’t just go away. And Circus Baby should be had more angst after Gregory almost frickin died!!! The characters recover so quickly and just go back to their goofy normal lives. Obviously I won’t cover everything for these shows but some of my main thoughts.

“uh but what about Glamrock Chica on TFFAGCS?”

Not. Enough. Glamrock Chica was easily back to normal after blaming herself for their whole issue because of stuff out of her control, having an exstistential crisis after being kicked out of the PizzaPlex, getting a message from her parents she doesn’t remember and so on. Also if ANYONE is getting angst it should be Funtime Foxy and his brother. Funtime Foxy almost drowned when he was around 10, Fexy (the brother) tried to stab FT.Foxy while screaming “THIS IS MY BODY, I WANT IT BACK” because they were in the same body at some point, he and his brother burned their house down because when FT.Foxy was running away from his brother they knocked over candles, then his brother literally tried to commit s—-ide by not leaving the burning building and saying “if I can’t have this I’d rather die” so FT.Foxy had to drag him out the house, then Fexy got sent to a mental hospital/asylum/psych ward (idk which one exactly) and lots of other things. And we haven’t seen ANY Lolbit angst whatsoever. Don’t even get me started on Mangle or Ray. (You can just tell this is my favourite show, can’t you?)

Tbh I don’t watch that one alot but FT.Freddy Deffinetly has abondonment issues, as far as I know we never find out where that came from, Shadow Freddy had a bit of angst, Freddy is doing loads of things that I’m not bothered to say and ‘The Evil Gang’ or whatever their name is are another case of ‘comic relief villains’ I think.

I already posted about this by rebloggin soemthing but ‘Sun gets Therapy’ was so disappointing, Lunar acts like things are normal, I feel like Solar should be seeing things after killing his Moon because as the Old Moon said “when you kill someone, they’re not there, but you can see them” or something like that, Moon just screams and gets mad at people for angst and he did apologise to Monty and have that whole “I’m a loser blah blah blah” but that’s it, Sun is hiding ALOT and other things.

Trying to tweet through my almost panic attack re: whenever I think about religion in relation to me and my beliefs right and being like ok this has happened my whole life and I’m managing it better then when I was like 6 and would go cry and have panic attacks in the bathroom during the service and like try to predict the end of the world every day to stop the rapture from happening but then being like they say it won’t be a date that u predict but predicting every day isn’t a sincere prediction so it doesn’t count what if I get relevationed here. Anyways so like growth progress I jsut get really anxious and almost cry and then avoid the thoughts. But I’d like to move past this into being able to have any thoughts on the subject especially with my moms situation right. And. Idk I talked to my old therapist about this a bit. But I managed to have it sorted enough and then he retired and now with the school insurance I like can two to the law school provided therapist but like I feel like is this out of her wheelhouse also it’s such a personal thing and also soemthing that like if ur religious or not our the therapists own personal beliefs idk how that commingled in whcih is why I’ve never really talked to anyone about it blah blah. Anywyas I was trying to tweet through it and I did and I might go back and delete them all bc of the mortifying ordeal off being known but that’s also what got me into this re never talking to anyone about this. Sorry I was a picture on Instagram and thought of an adorable little spider boy getting a crush on Miguel because daddy issues. they get their powers after like an accident at his dad lab. Stop like something big that turns out to be an anomaly. The spider squad comes in, explains the multiverse. And then Miguel pops in and is like “blah blah blah” for the spider boy though time stops and then he has a convo with one of the spideys being like “who’s that” they say who he is. Spider boy is like “I want him” spider gang is grossed out. One of them ask how old is spider boy and he’s like “16 give or take” give or take what? “Like …3 years…” you’re 13? “ I’m 13” even more grossed out. Anyways flash forward he’s being a goody two shoes and sucking up to Miguel to get closer to him. People assume it’s to like get stronger or soemthing but the gang know.

The “ignoring it” mostly comes in with feed me to the forest, and actually. That sort of connects feed me to the forest with trash flavored trash maybe? With how feed me to the forest leads into trash flavored trash and all. Coulddddd maybe be trying to also make a point that, with how people are so obsessed with pop culture and celebrities and the spectacle and dramatization of it all, it could be sort of distracting people from what’s actually happening in the world and the shitty path we’re headed down. But that’s just be spitballing here I only like just though about that lols

Not a song on there that I think you could remove with out creating a seriously worse experience and everything flows together so well for me and I truly don’t think there’s a “worst song” on the album or at least one that’s seriously bad. Like I say I don’t like trash flavored trash as much as the other songs on there, which is true, but like. It’s not seriously worse. I just have a petty thing about it for no particular reason. Genuinely one of the best post-hardcore albums to come out of the 2000s easily. I’ve also always felt like it was the perfect length and you never get like. Burnt out listening to it. I’ve always found myself just excitedly waiting to see if I notice anything new every listen (which i almost always do!!!) and the songwriting and guitar work and drumming and everything is just. Mwah. Goated perchance

Also the ending just fucking. Haunting. Doesn’t matter if you wanna say it’s Devastator or Metronomes (either work just beautifully for what the album is even if metronomes is a bonus track), but like. Man. Really leaves you to just sit there and think about what you just listened to, which you SHOULD!!!!!!!! It’s their most blatantly political and Whitney’s songwriting here in my opinion is at it’s strongest like. Just in general. Can’t believe he originally was like “eughhhh this is gonna fucking suck” GIRL ITS LIKE YOUR BEST WORK PERIOD!!!!!!! and Celebrator/Devastator follows through with this transparency. Like. No other way to read them other than talking about the war that was going on at the time and the closing lines of Devastator are very clearly asking you to think about what they were saying (��the party’s over, what was your favourite gift?”, especially with the context of the previous song, celebrator. Also not even just here just. Throughout the album) and think about what was going on in the world at the time and what the future might potentially look like if we don’t. Do something. And the future they’re painting a picture of is just utterly fucked (harkening back to feed me to the forest). It’s a pessimistic album, you might think, but frankly I do think it still has some hope for the future if people work towards it and don’t just sit on their asses and try to ignore it. Metronomes illustrates this quite clearly in my opinion but I don’t feel like talking about that too in depth here. What I’m saying is, either work extremely well. They work best together in one listen but that’s just my opinion. Also the way metronomes ends too…….. god. God. Crimes is so fucking good
