People need to stop assuming that the term trans has to mean either AMAB Transfemmes or AFAB Transmascs. IT IS AN UMBRELLA TERM FOR ANYONE WHO IS NOT CIS. Need me to repeat it? Yes, of course it includes AMAB transfemmes, and AFAB transmascs. BUT it also means us enbies, and YES this does DAMN WELL include:
AMAB neoboys, demiboys, libramascs, and solarians
AFAB neogirls, demigirls, librafems, and lunarians
Quoigender, Pomogender, and Gender Apathetic people
trans AFABs who are still women and trans AMABs who are still men
Agender, gendervoid people
Xenogender people
anyone who just doesn’t feel quite cis
Even if you’ve never changed your names or pronouns, or gotten hormones or surgeries, you’re still trans
Don’t worry, you ARE valid and you ARE still trans
I love you all <33

Demiboy Bay, the next of my watery pride art series. Made with procreate. Please credit if you re-post and don’t edit without permission.
[Image description: the side view of ocean near the shore, water pushing against rising sand as the sun shines down from above. Sea plants grow into the base of the sand, stretching out of the water with white roots growing into the sand. The sand is light white-grey and the ocean and sky are blue, lit white with light while the water plants are dark grey. It’s themed to the light grey, dark grey, blue, and white of the demiboy flag. Chimera and Cassandra!
In my rewrite, they’re both Lunarian , aka Deliosians (the actual name that most of them use to refer to themselves as)
Cassandra does indeed use Valtor’s influence to get them a higher ranking, in fact, the highest ranking one could get under Solarian rule.
Chimera is just a pawn in that, and although isn’t enthusiastic, is non the less shunned into obedience by their mother.
Info on their general storyline, content within my lore, and why I drew them Cassandra with a different skin tone and Chimera with a different hair texture below!
Cassandra ends up tanning to pass as more Solarian since they have an ethnic ancestry from those who stayed underground on Lunaria, which in my thing, results in them tending to have a paler complexion as well as increasing the likelihood for a paler hair color. Blond is considered a Solarian trait by those from Solaria, although the lightness of it would be considered Lunarian. Cassandra can just pass it off as being the result of some “impure Ancestry” though and that she’s mainly Solarian because,, the color of her hair, you see? Blond! And her iris color (also Lunarian, but she can claim the paleness is because of the small Lunarian part “tainting” it and resulting in phenotypic traits being less intense in hue) and that combined with her tan, she can prove she is Mostly Solarian,, right????
Spoiler alert: she’s totally 100% Lunarian.
In my thing, Stella will realize fairly quickly that Chimera is not someone who has much choice in this. On top of not being a willful participant, they hate pretty much everything about it. They straighten their hair because it’s easier than curling it to the 3c and various 4 texture curls that Solarian’s can have, but they still hate it. They refuse to tan or add glimmers or contacts to change their eyes. They don’t want to. Why should they?
Cassandra allows it, VERY begrudgingly. She can blame it all on Chimera’s father anyway (he had an ancestry from those who lived above ground hilariously enough, meaning his skin tone and hair color were darker overall, and he could’ve passed better as Solarian if he wanted to ((he didn’t for obvious reasons. Fuck Solarian Imperial rule.)) but shhhh he’s not in the political sphere there’s no reason for that information to pop up ever).
Even with all of this though, when all of this stuff is said and done, Stella can’t even really blame Cassandra.
For Cassandra, yes it is an attempt at a power grab, but, Stella also kind of Gets It.
“Well,, I can’t really blame her for this at the end of it all. I understand why she would want that power. How else would she get it? She’s Lunarian.”
She’s still pissed at her for doing what she could to get rid of her obviously and she thinks she’s a shitty mom, but the actual goal of trying to get on the throne? Stella goes, “well I think it’s fair to see why she would want more power. It’s not like they have much compared to me. To Solarians.”
And people are pissed she’s saying this, it was cute she was trying to play Dress Up and shit (how they referred to her connecting to her heritage from her mother, wearing actual Deliosian garb and paying respect to the Moons equally as much as the Suns). But she’s taking this seriously? Cassandra was just another power hungry Lunarian trying to get into court in a higher position. They’ve always wanted more than they have, say the Solarians in power.
Stella’s response? It’s because what they have isn’t equal.
The rest of the panel she’s speaking to during the court session: well,, I mean, that’s not the same as wanting equality-
Stella: why not? Because you’ve refused to give them independence. This wouldn’t be an issue if you did that. Or are you actually going to concede and give them equal representation?
The panel:…..
Stella ends it by pointing out she’s just as much Lunarian as she is Solarian. The panel hates it.
Stella and Chimera end up as sisters when everything is done, with Stella and Chimera referring to each other as such, and Chimera becomes one of the loudest people and a head representative for the Delios Independence Movement.
Cassandra is still in court sessions as a political figure, but is given shit for being such an ass to Stella and being seen as a shitty mom, forcing her daughter into this and using her mainly for a political pawn. It’s too soon to let her continue to hold influence though after the Valtor incident the others present decide, and she’s kicked out for a while. She’s still shit talked for the reasons previously mentioned, and for being a Lunarian that dared to want power, according to the Solarian Imperialists in court.
Stella invites her back after a time. Stella appreciates her thoughts on how to make things better for those of Delios because she knows Cassandra will never hold back on her real thoughts and feelings. Chimera and Cassandra don’t really talk after everything for a while, but eventually things do get better, and they do resume regular correspondence and communication. They’ll never be super close, but they know they can rely on each other when it counts.

You woke to the vibrations of their makeshift bed and the engine of the Solarian guard car in which they slept. You could hear the words of the driver and passenger of the car, a pair of fairies, one a fire fairy and the other an air fairy. The two fairies were ‘friends’ with your best friends, Sky and Riven respectively.
“You stole a car? How do you know how to steal a car?“ You heard Bloom, the fire fairy, ask Beatrix, the air fairy.
“I know how to do a lot of things.” You heard Beatrix retort as they drove off to an unknown destination. Now why you were in a Solarian guard’s car was simple... No, you didn’t sleep with a guard that arrive that morning. You didn’t sleep at all the night before and when one of the guards, an old friend called Cathán, asked you to grab something from the car, you may have fallen asleep.
The drive went on in silence, you laid stiff with tension. The car twisted and turned, the sound of tires over gravel the only other sound. Soon the car stopped, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Bloom and Beatrix stepped out of the car, causing you to exhale heavily,
“Aster Dell was a town, right? Are you sure this is the right place?” You heard Bloom ask, Beatrix replying.
“I'm positive.”
“How could a town be marked on a map if it's on the side of a mountain?” Bloom asked as she walked further from the car. Your hand went towards your phone and read the most recent texts from Sky and Riven.
BlueEyes: Where the hell are you?!
Raven: Fuck this! Sky is calling Silva! So get your ass back here!
Soon enough, Bloom and Beatrix got back into the car, Bloom’s face depressed. You heard them talk about Rosalind and Aster Dell... Two very familiar names.
“Dowling imprisoned her. I'm at Alfea to break her out.” Beatrix explained before exclaiming as something hit the car. “Shit!”
The tires screeched and Beatrix ran out, only to be stopped by Headmistress Dowling and Professor Harvey, who was holding her in place using Earth magic.
“Take Bloom. We’ll handle this.” Headmistress Dowling stated, your body froze in the back of the SUV. The group began to move away from the SUV when Silva then stated.
“You know... Y/N was missing today. Sky and Riven told me they weren’t on campus. Then one of the queen’s guards, Cathán, said that Y/N was helping him with something in the SUV before he got knocked out.” Silva explained, walking towards the back of the SUV. He opened the door to your sheepish face, staring blankly at you. “Get out, Y/N.“
Meanwhile back on the Alfea campus, Sky and Riven were talking to each other. They stood in the training grounds, wooden sticks in hand as they fought.
“And you’re sure Y/N isn’t here?” Riven asked Sky, his stick spinning as he hit Sky.
“We looked everywhere.” Sky explained, before dodging a swipe and blocking another hit. “I told Silva and...”
Sky was cut off by a loud ping and Riven’s phone went off a second later.
Silva: We’ve got them.
As they read the message, another appeared from their friend.
Y/N ⚔❤: You fuckers snitched! Silva hasn’t stopped yelling at me since he found me!!
Due to your ‘actions’, Silva placed you on house arrest with a curfew. Bloom was spied upon and Beatrix led away by Headmistress Dowling. A few days passed and soon you were called to arms against the Burned Ones.
“Y/N. We need to go!” Riven called out before you grabbed your dual swords with a silver hilt and ran outside the school. Unsheathing your swords, you began cutting down Burned Ones, leaving a trail behind you. In the distance, you could make out a redhead walking towards the Burned Ones and transforming, fire swirling around her. You began walking back to the school, passing out from exhaustion.
The next day, you stood outside with Sky and Silva when Solarian troops exited their vehicles and armed themselves, glancing between the three of you. A car door opened to reveal the figure of Queen Luna of Solaria, who walked up to you and began speaking.
“Saul Silva. It's with a heavy heart I must place you under arrest.”
“For what?” Silva asked confused, you echoing.
“The attempted murder... of Andreas of Eraklyon.” Queen Luna explained.
“‘Attempted’?” Sky asked, bemused. Another door opened, causing your heads to spin around, and a man in a specialist uniform stepped out. Closing the door behind him, Andreas walked forwards, glancing at Sky. Silva and Sky’s eyes widened in shock while yours widened in horror, your jaw clenching.
“Hello, Sky.” Andreas smiled at Sky before turning to face you. “Hello, little warrior.“
“...Andreas.” Came your cool reply, your stomach churning as Andreas’ smile widened as he looked at you. Sky’s eyes looked at you, betrayal evident while Silva barely spared a glance at you. “I assume there will be some changes to Alfea now.”

May I please request a series for Sky x mind fairy! Reader? ☺️
A little danger // part two
Tumblr media
Staring at her notes, Y/N’s lips twitch as she attempts to suppress a smile. The little heart Sky drew at the lower right corner of her page has caused hers to skip a beat and the fire burning in her cheeks has darkened the skin to a rosy shade reserved only for him.
Ever since that day in the woods, Sky and Y/N have been almost inseparable. Classes felt dull and long compared to the company she was to keep right after they end, her hand cold compared to the warmth of the one that would wrap itself around without a second thought. It seems as if Sky finds comfort in their fingers intertwining and the weight of her hand in his. She does too.
And while the world around them grew darker, Sky presented a source of light in her life.
"They are to exile him." Sky speaks up, breaking the thick veil of silence that befell them as they were both engrossed in their own studies.
Swallowing thickly, Y/N turns to him. She knew, of course she knew, but instead of pushing him on the subject, Y/N waited for Sky to be ready to talk about it himself. He's hurt by the lies Saul told, but he loves him. The anger will dissipate, he needs time to feel it first, otherwise it will fester and she is the best example of what happens when one refuses to feel their emotions.
"Do you believe that to be true?"
Furrowing his brows, Sky straightens his back. "What do you mean?"
"Would they let him live", she licks her lips. "I know you're angry with him, but Saul won't live long enough to be exiled."
"I see no reason for him to be killed."
"He isn't one of them", Y/N frowns. "That's reason enough."
Eyes flickering to her lips, Sky sighs. "You're paranoid."
"Maybe", she shrugs. "But I'm not sitting around, waiting for his body to wash up on Solarian shores." Slamming her book closed, she goes to stand.
With Sky's hand flying to her shoulder, Y/N presses her lips in a thin line, giving up on her intention to leave. For now.
"Don't do anything", Sky states, his voice strained as he attempts to keep himself calm but his shaky hand betrays him.
"I have to", she replies quietly. "Because one day your anger will leave and your heart is going to break for Saul  and I cannot let that happen."
"And I don't want anything to happen to you!" Jumping to his feet, Sky's chair falls back, causing Y/N to flinch and in a moment of fear, her powers surfaced, pushing Sky back against the wall.
Gasping, she covers her mouth in shock. "I am so sorry, I didn't mean to", her voice breaks.
Shaking his head, he rubs his shoulder. "What if this happens when you try to do whatever the hell it is that you're trying to do? Huh?"
"It won't", she says through gritted teeth.
"How can you be so sure? You didn't mean to do this, right?" Sky takes a step closer, his left eyebrow raised. "How can you be sure you won't do something worse under stress?"
Gulping, she looks down at her fidgeting hands. He's right. They both know he is right. So why does it hurt so bad to have him question her? To feel as if his faith in her is shaken and even he doesn't trust her anymore?
"I guess I just have to hope I'm less of a disaster on that day", her voice is low, laced with disappointment and frustration and a hint of hurt mirrored in her eyes.
As she turns to leave, Sky lets out a heavy sigh. "I didn't mean it like that."
Looking at him over her shoulder, she forces a smile. "And I didn't mean to slam you against the wall, but it still hurt, didn't it?"
Following her out the door, Sky’s lips press in a thin line as she pauses, wondering what to say or if there’s anything worth saying at all. There’s no reason for doubt, she’s positive that saving Saul is the right decision and while Sky may be blind to it now, he’ll thank her one day. Even if he doesn’t, Silva wasn’t important to only Sky. He’s helped plenty of students throughout the years and she still remembers the way her mom’s eyes lingered when she asked if Silva is her real dad.
She never got a proper answer and the accident with Sky had cemented her mother’s decision on the end of their friendship. Next time she saw either of them, she was already in college in Alfea. It’s undeniable that she shares certain physical traits with Saul.
“This isn’t a mistake”, she exclaims, sensing that’s where Sky’s mind was heading. “I want to do this and you can either help or get out of my way.”
Wrapping his arms around her from behind, he held on tightly. His emotions are confusing even to her, several intertwining as his heart and mind wage war. She can’t fault him for being angry, and she can’t fault him for wanting some distance from it all, but she needs him to understand at least.
“I worry you’ll get hurt”, he admits. “There’s nothing in this world worth to me as much as you are.”
Swallowing thickly, she leans into the embrace. “I’ll be okay.”
“You can’t promise me that”, his response is rushed, body tensing with her stubbornness.
“Maybe not”, she sighs. “But I know there’s nothing that can stop me from coming back to this”, she tilts her head up with a smile adorning her lips. “To you.”
“I’ll help”, Sky frowns. “I’ll try to get in on the team escorting him.”
Grinning, she bites her lower lip in an unsuccessful attempt of holding her joy at bay. “That’s my man.”
“Really?” His brows shot up. “I’m officially getting crowned as your man?”
Turning in his embrace, her arms wrap around his neck. “Apparently I do not scare you and I’ve tried to ignore you and that didn’t work out either.” Shrugging with her left shoulder, she kinks her eyebrows. “Now we can try this approach. See where it takes us.”
“I’m all for it”, Sky smirks, lowering his head.
“Yeah?” She lets out a shuddered breath as his lips brush against hers and her legs tremble.
“Yeah.”
His lips pressed into her bottom one, beginning a kiss that stole Y/N’s breath away. As he pulls her closer, she can’t help but smile into the kiss, making him chuckle.
“I’m literally kissing your teeth here.”
“Not my fault your kisses make me giddy.”
Smirking, he nods. “Good answer.”
“No more talking”, her hand grips the back of his neck, swiftly repossessing his lips.
“THIS WON’T WORK FOR ME”, Riven exclaims, causing the pair to separate reluctantly. “Either choose the room or someplace else, but the hall is not allowed!”
“I’ve caught you in the hall before”, Sky reminds him.
“Yeah, but I’m me and you’re supposed to be the golden boy. Someone will see and you’ll be the campus whore.”
“Fine with me”, Sky remarks.
“Well, is that the excuse you’ll give for not showing up when we have practice? Because Andreas is waiting.”
Rolling her eyes, Y/N swipes under Sky’s bottom lip, removing the lipstick stains. “I’ll text you the details, okay?”
Pecking her lips, he nods. Watching her walk away, Sky bites his bottom lip. “What does Andreas want? We don’t even have practice now.”
Giving him a pointed look, Riven rubs his chin. “We’re supposed to help transfer Saul.”
Arriving back to the dorm, Y/N found the girls already finishing their plan for Silva’s rescue mission.
Going through everything, step by step, she felt confident in their chances. Reaching for her phone to send Sky information he’d need to help, Y/N furrows her brows as she find he has already texted her.
“We have an issue”, Y/N gulps as the girls turn to look at her. “Sky won’t be able to help us.”

so, i had this weird idea, right? so i was wondering, since the characters are literally from different planets in an entirely different dimension, WHAT IF they looked a bit more like aliens because why not?????????????
Faires - The Winx
Fairies have slightly pointed ears (no I regret nothing)
Everyone from Zenith (zenians? Zenithians? Idk) is either an android or a cyborg. there is a portion of the population who's totally organic that just has some technomagic abilities
tecna specifically is an android. as in like she's fully made of metal having seams on her arms, legs, and on her face.
her eyes are solid blue w/no irises which glow all robotic android like (she has robotic eyes is what im trying to say)
she doesnt have the robotic voice normally but when shes scanning something, short circuting or maybe when she firsst wakes up, it comes up. she does speak normally and not all monotone and robotic without contractions
Bloom’s a bit hot to the touch. Let’s just say she totally doesn’t get used as a hearing pad when it gets cold. Oh, and Stella too. Just like how Icy is cold to the touch
Unlike the other fairies, Bloom doesn’t have slightly pointed ears, due to her living on earth and not knowing of her true heritage. When she came to Magix, her Dominoan traits manifested
Bloom gets these sick ass dragon scales on her arms and torso and slighty dragon like eyes
one day to her surprise, she saw little horns growing out of her hair and little fangs in her teeth. badass
At first, its only when she transforms, but it eventually becomes normal and starts to show up when she isnt covered in glitter and transformed
People from Andros have gills. They’re pretty faint when they’re dry, looking more like scars, but they’re more prominent in water.
aisha's half mermaid so in water, she can grow a tail. its lavender purple with an ombre seafoam green on the fluke. amazing
she has little bits of seafoam green scales on her torso and arms
she has seafoam green fin add ons to her ears (as in like she has her normal pointy ears with little fins on at the ends. this is phrased weird)
she has fins on her legs a la lagoona blue mh style
Musa and many other people from Melody have something like super hearing because why not
she has various music note markings on her body. she specifically has these markings on her upper back and arms
she also has music note markings around her eye a la operetta from monster high
she has a slightly red glowing tint to her skin; kind of like chinese and japanese lanterns
Stella doesn’t get sunburn. Her energy also is mainly based on the sun. If it’s a cloudy day, she may be less of her energetic and positive self than usual. she'll still be stella but maybe a bit calmer idk
it would be funny if stella's skin shimmers like twilight vampires but not as much
ever solarian has a sun and moon tattoo somewhere on their bodies. it looks like a sparkly small orange and yellow sun with a midnight blue crescent moon beneath it. stella's is on her left upper arm
when the sun hits her in the right places and shes on solari, her skin becomes kind of like holographic and crystalized
Like Stella, Flora’s energy also revolves around the sun in a way. Since, yknow, the sun is an important resource for nature
in the spring and summer, various grow from her. she even uses some of said plants in her cooking and potion making adorable
she also has little thorns on her arms that come out on the rare occasion when shes angry
flora has flower petal markings on on her face, specifically a tattoo like thing around her right eye
Witches - The Trix
like their lighter counterparts, witches have slightly pointy ears no you can’t take this away from me
when using their powers, their eyes glow the color of their magic (icy=blue, Stormy=darkish purpleish magenta Darcy=purple, etc)
they have fangs. thats it. why not. it sounds fucking awesome
they have solid eyes ( as in no irises)
The icy backstory retcon doesn’t exist. The trix are her sisters obviously
Icy’s cold to the touch. It goes from mild cold to “holy shit your freezing”
icy has icicle claws on her fingers either once shes transformed or normally i cant choose
she has icy snowflakes on her skin
Because of her powers, Stormy has some sick ass scars in the shapes of lightning bolts. They’re mainly on her upper back with some on her upper arms
on her skin, like icy's snowflakes, theres storm clouds/lighting bolts
When she gets angry, lighting bolts swirl in Stormy’s hair
the tips of Darcy’s fingers are black and shadowy a la Agatha Harkness
Darcy’s eyes are a bit sensitive to light so, she wears sunglasses when she can. Only her sisters know this though
maybe darcy can be the more human looking out of the three due to her manipulativeness

If the Stardewies/Stardudes had a social page, what would be on it?
Abigail - David pics. Look at the floof! Gemology stuff. Lengthy updates about the last Solarian Chronicles campaign. Fantasy drawings. Flute shorts. Snacks. Need more snacks.
Emily - Yoga pose of the week. Wellness tips. Parrot factoids. Clothing design scribbles. Mantras. Positive vibes. Sunshine photos.
Haley - Photography. Like my page.
Leah - Nature pics. Garden updates. Avant garde pics of her artwork (without showing the entire piece).
Maru - Social-what-now? Obligatory accounts. Never logs in. She's too busy building robots.
Penny - Crafts for kids tutorials. Reading lists. Occasional deep thoughts post. Penny's a private person so I don't think she would be online that often.
Alex - Updates about his favorite gridball team, wishlists for sports memorabilia that's out of his price range, random photos of Dusty. Yay! Haley would be proud that he managed to keep these pics in focus. Trying to figure out how to monetize his workout videos.
Elliott - dribs and drabbles of everyday musings, words of the day, half-finished lyrical compositions, the wanderers journey, lonely souls connecting through poetry and music through cyberspace, and quotes from his favorite literary giants.
Harvey - Cool facts about aviation history, Reviews of museum exhibits. Recommended biographies an occasional airship fantasy. Coffee quotes. He would moderate a chat board about technical specs, simulations, collector's items, etc.
Sam - Memes, puns, more memes. Sam is definitely an all-or-nothing guy. Binge posts and then silent for weeks. Skateboard videos. Did you see this super cool, wicked, rad trick I did? Oh and follow my band! We're the Pelicans. Tell your friends.
Sebastian - this man would blow up Reddit. Solarian Chronicles. Game walkthroughs. Random Twitch stream when he feels like it. Pictures of frogs. Programmer jokes. Shit posts about nothing important.
Shane - Charlie has his own Instagram! This man and his love for blue chickens. Nothing but chickens on his feed.

can you specify what profession winx and specialists do?
Ok, I definitely have some ideas, but not all of them completely fleshed out:
First you have your royals:
Stella: Her title becomes High Queen Stella Hyperiona Selene Aelius of House Solaria, Solaria’s Guardian Fairy of Light. Her role is obviously to rule the Solarian System. Once she becomes Queen she gives up her title as the High Fairy of the Solarian System as she can't hold both titles consecutively
Sky: Holds the title of High King Schuyler Julien Frederic Bougaimoux VI of the Eraklyon System. Her also hold other military titles, but steps away from the more military based day to day work once he takes the throne.
Aisha: Her formal title becomes Reigning Monarch Aisha Anahita Ara Bilal of House Andros. She still does some Guardian Fairy work, but she cannot take the position on full time.
Then your consorts:
Bloom: While Bloom is technically Sky's consort, due to her standing in the Magic Dimension she takes the title High Queen Bloom Cyra Eithne Kenna Bizeveron of the Eraklyon System. When she marries Sky she also must return the Dragon Fire to the Heart of Domino through the Passing of the Flame Ceremony, which reduces the Bloom to her original abilities. This for Bloom is a struggle, but she does become a Guardian Fairy of Eraklyon and an ambassador for many magical councils on Magix. She also does some occasional teaching at Alfea and has even been considered for Nympdom.
Brandon: Brandon does become Stella's consort, but his main title is in Commander and Chief of the Solarian Army. He often deals with military issues and security issues within both the Solarian System and Magix.
Your Specialists:
Riven: Riven, when leaving Red Fountain, had no idea what he wanted to do. He did some security work on Magix for a bit, but it wasn't until Stella offered him a role on her security council as a private contractor, did he love his job. Riven ends up working this role for several years, and then does other security work while still assisting Stella and her team.
Timmy: Remains on Magix and while he does some specialist work, such as high-profile piloting and weapon work, he does mainly do integrated magical core science work and study. He also in his very little spare time does some teaching, both at Red Fountain and Magix's Collage of Applied Sciences.
Helia: Helia returns to the Liphean System to fulfil his role as Duke. However, he is in the public eye for peace and reconciliation talks, often advocating for peaceful negotiations or solutions to conflict. This often takes him to war zones or small skirmishes in which he is a mediator for these issues.
Then the rest of the Winx:
Musa: She still does enter the music industry and spends most of her free time at recording studios both producing her own songs and others. However, she does remain a Guardian Fairy of Melody.
Tecna: she does become a Guardian Fairy of one of the four planet s in the Zenith System. She tries to change the system from the inside and make life better for magical beings on Zenith. However, some time with no results, she leaves and joins Timmy doing magical integrated technology work and magical core study.
Flora: Flora becomes a Guardian Fairy of the Linphean System and she loves her work helping people with big and small problems. She also does peace talk works, but mainly between bridging the social gap between fairies and witches.

Where did he go wrong?
He and Lieutenant Ki had once been so close. They assumed their positions of power at the same time. They learned from each other, grew together as well. Hell, he looked up to her. She taught him the value of each individual soldier. She taught him how to use empathy in a war. She taught him never to treat anyone like a pawn on a gameboard. So why did she use him? Did she lie when years ago she confessed that she regretted ever thinking she could be a better leader than him? Had she always been waiting for the right time to swoop in?
It’s true that their friendship dwindled ever since she became his lieutenant, but he always thought it was because they were attempting to keep things professional. He always thought it was because she didn’t want to cross the line after Doyun left. Was it really because she resented him? And now that she’s one step closer to becoming the General of the Solarian Army, she can’t take his bullshit that she endured for years?
Threatening usurpation, for fuck’s sake! Even he admits he had been a blundering, stubborn fool, but she didn’t have to involve the whole army. She didn’t have to involve you.
He’s been back in the officer meetings, where everything feels the same: the repeating codes, the battle plans, the arguments. Nothing has changed. Yet, he feels out of place. He feels as if the little authority he had is gone. He wonders if his own officers deem him pathetic. He wonders if they secretly wish he had stepped down to let Lieutenant Ki take the reins. He even wonders if they wished he died when he was lying there, immobile in his tent.
He can’t trust anyone anymore.
Not like he trusted Doyun.
He soon realizes no one has called him by his name in a long, long time. Doyun was the only one who had the guts to do it; she had always seen him outside of his identity as the Solarian General. But she’s dead now and there’s no one left to see him as who he really is: Yoongi. Just plain Yoongi. The one who is a medium of all four elements, not just fire. The one who used to cry a lot. The one who would rather be scolded by his mother than rat out those who’d caused trouble. The one who never wanted power but was forced to take it because of his bloodline.
But maybe there’s still hope. Because with you, he feels safe. Because other than the fact that you address him with honorifics, you make him feel like he is just like any other Solarian in the nation. Because with you, he knows that even if he were stripped from his title, you’d stay by his side. So maybe he can trust you too. You’d already apologized to him after all. Just three days after the threat, you’d barged into his tent in near hysterics, telling him that you miscalculated and that you’re ashamed of yourself and that you should’ve been there for him instead of plotting behind his back. But he was never angry at you in the first place. There was nothing to forgive. He knew the threat wasn’t your idea.
What he had really been anticipating was Lieutenant Ki’s apology. But it never came. She simply pretends as if nothing happened. As if she didn’t casually threaten to turn his soldiers against him if she didn’t get his way. How much does she look down on him for her to be so brazen? It frustrates him. He’s not perfect, but he still deserves an ounce of respect from his own lieutenant.
He hates himself for getting so caught up in Lieutenant Ki’s betrayal like this. Since when did he have an ego? Since when had he gotten so stubborn? He tries to channel his energy into making sure you won’t lose your life out there. He often supervises your training and nitpicks everything about it. He decides to create the battle plans three weeks in advance to prepare. Then, he makes you go over the battles over and over and over again. He secretly wishes you perform badly just so he can rescind his approval with good reason. But he’s seen your skills; you’re no average fire medium anymore. The passion you have for Solaria, for everything you believe in has only grown since you reconnected with the spirits of fire. He knows deep inside that after the first one, you’ll be going to battles regularly.
It terrifies him.
He can’t remember the last time someone died from something other than a battle wound.

The moon is dim today, but that only allows for the stars to shine brighter. You stare up into the sky, nestled in front of Heli, petting his warm fur and thinking to yourself. It’s a chilly night tonight, but the winds that flutter the leaves of the trees at the edge of the forest don’t really bother you. Instead, it’s peaceful. When you close your eyes, you feel like you’re lazily drifting away into the night, floating up and up until you’re resting amongst the stars. It’s a good feeling.
“May I join you?”
Your eyes flutter open, heart already leaping in your chest.
It’s him.
“Of course,” you say, moving over a bit so he has room to sit in Heli’s warmth. The fire tiger welcomes him with a small huff. He situates himself right next to you—close enough that you can see him quite well despite the darkness, but not too close so that you’re touching. You haven’t talked to him privately since you apologized to him. You’re unsure if that’ll make this conversation awkward—if a conversation even happens, that is. The General seems completely fine with being silent. So are you.
He’s been watching over you for the past several weeks. You can tell that he’s worried by the way he nitpicks your every move and has you coming over to his tent nearly every day to go over the battle plans again. It’s a little endearing to see how much he cares. But it’s all the more pressure for you to come back completely unscathed.
“You’ll get to see war tomorrow,” comes his soft voice. “I hope you’re not too scared.”
“I am a little bit,” you admit. “But I’m more afraid of what will happen if I were to perform inadequately.” You turn to him, a teasing smile on your face. “I’m terrified that I won’t meet your expectations.”
“What a strange fear,” he says. “Most soldiers are afraid of death. You seem to be afraid of me.”
You laugh. “I suppose I am.”
“Do you recall the battle plans for tomorrow?”
You grin, nodding your head. “I could rewrite them with my eyes closed.”
“Good, good,” he replies. “So don’t wander off.”
“I won’t,” you say. “But I can’t promise that I’ll always be in your line of vision, either. I don’t want you worrying about me on the battlefield. You should only be worrying about yourself.”
He just hums. “I’ve done this a thousand times over; I think I’ll be fine. I just don’t want you to come back traumatized.”
“I think I’ll be fine, too,” you say. “Technically, I’ve done this before. Maybe my instincts will kick in. And… and maybe being on the battlefield will jog my lost memory.”
“Possibly,” he answers. “But do you want your memories to return?”
“If you asked me just a year ago, I would’ve hesitated and then said ‘yes.’ But now… Now I think I’ve moved on. This feels like my life now.” You scratch behind Heli’s ear, which makes him purr happily. “I no longer want to be the person I was before. Who I am now matters so much more.”
He nods. “I agree.”
“I don’t want you to overexert yourself tomorrow, though,” you say. “It would be your first battle since your injury.”
“I’ll be fine,” he says. Then, he grins a shit-eating grin. It’s something that you rarely see on him, but something you’d like to see more of. “Weren’t you the one who told me to worry only about yourself?”
You scoff. “Well, yes, but…”
“Then let’s stick to your advice,” the General says. “Let tomorrow be a mystery to us both.”
“A mystery,” you repeat. “I’m not sure if I enjoy mysteries.”
“I find that hard to believe,” the General replies in his quiet voice. “Tomorrow is a mystery. Overmorrow is a mystery. The day after overmorrow is a mystery as well. Is it not that our entire lives are just a mystery unfolding?”
You turn to the General in surprise. “I never thought about it like that. I suppose I was wrong, then. You do make quite a good point.”
“Why thank you,” he answers with an endearing smile that seems to warm you from the inside.
There’s a few seconds of silence before you decide to speak again: “Are you scared? For tomorrow?”
“Am I scared?” He cocks his head. “Only that you’ll be out there with me.”
You laugh. “I promise I won’t get hurt.”
He only raises his eyebrows. “If only it was something you can control,” he sighs. “All I can do is wish you luck tomorrow, my officer.”
Your face feels warm, although the breeze has become quite chilly over the course of the conversation. Even small moments like these are enough to send you over the moon. Small moments when he glances at you when he thinks you’re not looking. Small moments when he calls you his officer. Small moments when he shows how much he worries. After finally having gotten your way through an unforgivable threat, you thought you were walking on thin ice; instead, he’s been kinder than ever. It makes your heart clench just thinking about it, and you wonder more often these days how things would’ve turned out if it hadn’t been for the damned war.
“I wish you luck too, sir,” you say.
He just nods, closing his eyes and letting the night breeze caress his cheeks and brush aside his dark hair. You do the same, allowing your other senses to heighten. You hear Heli’s soft purs, the whispering wind, the soft crackles of the fire tiger’s flames. You can smell the freshness of the nearby forest, the crispness of the night air and the familiar scent of the General as well.
As the two of you sit comfortably side by side, feeling tomorrow’s battle looming over your shoulders, you realize you wouldn’t mind a good mystery. Even if uncertainty makes you nervous, you are certain about one thing: there’s more to come from your relationship with the General. Who knows? Maybe one day you’ll finally call him by his name. And he, yours.
Tumblr media
You toss and turn in your sleep the whole night, and by the time you wake up, it feels as if you haven’t slept at all. As you untangle your blankets from your legs, you think that maybe you are subconsciously scared. It’s a battle, for Sooht’s sake, and the last time you went to one of these, you came back with broken ribs and a wiped memory.
But you shouldn’t be scared, right? Not when Suhyun and Nayoon have told you that you’re more than ready. Not when you know the General will keep you in his peripheral vision and stop at nothing to ward off danger. Still, you’re nervous. Death makes you uncomfortable. Pain does too. What if you shut down on the battlefield? What if you freeze? What if you crumble? And worst of all, what if you feel pity for the enemy?
The Darlaeans are still humans, even though they feel too monstrous to be so sometimes. You don’t think anything could force you to kill one of them. The worst you’ll do is inflict injuries, but of course not fatally. The mission is to gain ground, not kill everyone in your path. But the mission often gets muddled amidst the anger, the frustration, the blood and the dead. You’re scared that you’ll get caught up in a fight of hatred when you should really be fighting for freedom.
But you digress. Maybe you’re overthinking this. Or maybe this is something that should be overthought. You just hope that the casualties are low today and the General comes back home safely.
When you finally manage to rise from your cot, you nearly step on the container that Joon had made for you three years ago. From your turbulent “sleep,” you must’ve knocked it out of its hiding place. Settling down on your straw mat, you reach for the container.
It almost feels like the spirits have orchestrated this very moment.
Just yesterday you talked about your desire to never remember your forgotten memories. So what about the necklace? If it’s the only relic of a past that you don’t want to remember, should you dispose of it? Is this a sign? To get rid of it before you fight for your nation? Or… are the spirits trying to tell you to wear it once more?
It’s true that you were wearing it when you woke up three years ago in the medical tent, confused, in pain and terrified, but still alive. In a way, the necklace could very much be a good luck charm. So should you wear it to this battle, too? To make sure you get out safely, for the General’s sake?
You seem to answer your own question, already taking the necklace out of its case. It’s more beautiful than you remember. Simple, but elegant. The white gem sparkles even though no light shines upon it. And for some reason, you feel comfort holding it so close to you; warmth spreads through your body, making the ends of your fingers and toes tingle. But maybe you’re just imagining it.
Nevertheless, you bring the necklace up close to examine it, running your fingers along the chain and admiring the dainty clasp. You almost forget what’s waiting for you later in the day while you marvel at its beauty. But someone reminds you just in time.
They clear their throat outside of your tent. “You can back out now before it’s too late, Officer.”
You smile, shaking your head. “What was that, sir? I can’t hear you from outside my tent.”
You can hear his playful sigh. There’s a bit of a rustle, and then he’s entering the space. “I said, Officer, you can back out now—” He halts mid-sentence, staring at the necklace in your hands, his expression suddenly unreadable.
“O-Oh, this?” you say, a little uneasy at his reaction. “I… I had it on me when I woke up three years ago. I’ve been keeping it safe all this time, but I realized it’s sort of my good luck charm. I was thinking of wearing it today.”
To your relief, the General nods, his eyes softening. “I’m sorry. I was just surprised I never saw you wear it before. It’s beautiful.”
“Thank you,” you say, lifting up the necklace to admire it more closely. “Can you… can you help me put it on?”
“Yes,” he answers. “Of course.”
You move your hair out of your way, turning your back towards him as he approaches you slowly. You hold your breath as he gently places the necklace around your neck, his fingers warm and tender as he locks the clasp. Even when he lets go, he is careful, doing it carefully so that you’re not jarred by the coldness of the chain. And even when he lets go, his fingers linger as if he doesn’t ever want to pull away. “A fancy good luck charm, isn’t it?” he whispers, though you’re not sure why.
For some reason, you whisper back, “I suppose it is.”
You can feel his warmth on your back—or maybe you’re just imagining it. He’s so unbelievably close. You freeze when you feel his fingers caress your hair. All too soon, you’re holding your breath again. Is time speeding up or slowing down? You can’t quite tell. And as he gently covers the clasp of your necklace with the locks of your hair, you close your eyes and let out a shaky breath. He feels so close. This feels intimate.
You don’t know if you should speak, for what would you comment on? You’re afraid of ruining the moment, breaking the trance that both of you are seemingly in. But then he speaks for you.
“I trust you,” he whispers.
You blink. He trusts you? Out of all the things he could’ve said… he trusts you? You turn around and find him staring at you, black eyes swimming with an emotion you can’t quite discern. But after several seconds, he shakes his head, face reverting back to his stoic expression. “Gather your soldiers, Officer,” he says. “The trek to the second sector will take two hours.”
He leaves as swiftly as he had arrived, and you’re left alone in your tent, watching the red curtains flutter. He’d left so quickly that you didn’t even get a chance to tell him that you trust him too. Not that he doesn’t already know.
Tumblr media
The two-hour trek feels too long.
As the Solarians began winning the war, it’s been taking a longer time to get to the battlefields—a tribute to all of the gained territory. What used to take an hour has doubled. It’s a good thing, perhaps. A sign that the end of the war can come, and in Solaria’s favor.
You walk next to Captain Kim Sebin, who still mostly keeps to themselves. Their face is unreadable and frankly a little solemn. You don’t want to be invasive, so you keep silent. Besides, what would you talk about while marching toward a battle? ‘Oh, look how nice the weather is! In a few moments, we’ll be massacring hundreds and hoping we won’t die!’
In front of you is Hyojung, who, upon the General’s insistence, will be fighting solely on Zeru. The air horse trots across the terrain, head held high and wispy tail swishing confidently from side to side. He turns his head back every once in a while, though, to see if Hyojung is faring well. While the second sector major’s legs have made a decent recovery in the last two years, she still has difficulty running. To hide her liability on the battlefield, she gets to fight on horseback, which is usually reserved for the General.
But the General never seems to mind. In fact, it’s much rarer to see him on Zeru’s back when leaving for or returning home from the battlefield. “The injured need it more than I do,” is what he always says. So he walks by Hyojung and Zeru’s side, leading the rest of the second sector soldiers to the battlefield.
Behind you, the soldiers are chatting about. With the battle being in such low stakes, most of them don’t seem too nervous. After all, some of them have been doing this for much longer than you have. You try to keep your mind numb. You try to focus on the ground underneath your shoes. You focus on the tiny blades of grass that have sprouted arbitrarily along the dirt terrain. You focus on the weather, the heavy feel of the air, the light taste of the wind.
And soon, you reach the battlegrounds.
There is fog in the sky today. When you squint across the land, you can see glimpses of the Darlaeans—their legs, some parts of their torsos—but their faces have been obscured.
What an eerie sight.
You place a hand on your racing heart to calm it down.
Deep breaths. Deep breaths.
Next to you, Captain Kim begins to sort the soldiers into formation. They wordlessly turn to you, expecting you to do the same. So you begin issuing orders, trying to hide your shaking hands behind your back. Someone puts a warm hand on your shoulder.
“Good luck.”
It’s Hyojung. She gives you a supportive smile, and even Zeru paws at the ground and lets out a small whinny. You nod. “You too.”
You watch from the front of the lines as the General steps forward. How terrifying would it be to be at the very front, leading a battle? To be the first person that everybody wants to target? How terrifying is it to stand there alone, with no one to protect you?
From the other side, you see a tall figure standing in front of the Darlaean army. The Forgotten Kingdom’s General. The fog envelops their body, hiding away everything except for their shiny black boots. Leather. Your soldiers have warned you about this; the Darlaeans kill innocent cattle and exploit their hide, their meat, their bones. It’s quite disgusting and even thinking of it makes you shudder. How can they be so cruel? You also catch a glimpse of the Darlaean General’s long cape, the ends of it fluttering in the breeze. How ostentatious.
The two Generals stand in solitude, and for a long minute, it feels like a waiting game. Who will make the first call? Who will begin the fighting, the death, the pain? The tension makes you nervous, and your hand instinctively flies up to palm at the diamond pendant underneath the collar of your uniform.
“Hey.” You turn your head slightly to see that your co-captain is talking to you. “Don’t be so nervous,” they said. “You’ll be fine.”
You give them a weak smile. “Thanks.”
But your legs are shaking against your will. Your hands have become so sweaty and clammy that you wonder if you’ll even be able to wield fire with them. Why weren’t you this nervous the night before? Why are you in a near-panic state now?
You know why.
Because this feels so real. And a part of it… it feels familiar too. Somewhere in your mind, you know that you’ve lived this moment before, standing on the battlefield, nervous, with your hand placed on top of the pendant of your necklace. Screaming, crying, wailing, cracking, slicing—you hear it all in your head. Your eyes are seconds away from glazing over, from dissociating, but then you see a vivid purple streak in the air. It’s bright, so bright that it pierces through the fog and manages to blind you for a split second.
“It’s starting,” you hear whispers from behind you.
“That was the cue.”
And sure enough, the General answers with a roaring flame that shoots from his fingertips and soars straight up and across the empty field. Scarlet red intertwines with deep violet and they explode together in the murky gray sky. Your heart seems to stop beating.
You hear the valiant cries of soldiers from both sides. You hear the thunderous footsteps of those advancing the terrain. You see your own two feet beginning to carry you forward. You hear your own breath—a little too loudly. And your heart beats too quickly in your chest.
But there’s a part of you that is glad to be here. A part of you that is proud. You fought for this. You want to be here.
You can see them now. The Darlaeans. Their murderous faces, their black uniforms, their outstretched arms.
It’s terrifying. They look like they want to kill you.
You’re falling behind.
Soldiers before you in the lineup are already throwing fire at the enemy. Some are dodging the Darlaean’s metal spheres. Others are sprawled on the ground, crawling away or not moving at all. The ground becomes tainted in red. But instead of being paralyzed in fear, you continue to run forward.
Someone tries to shoot an attack in your direction. You move to the side just in time to hear the metal sphere whiz past your head. Another tries to block your path, hand already outstretched to attack, but before they can, you blind them with a blast of fire from your fingertips and run. By the time they regain their vision, you’ll be long gone.
The adrenaline keeps you steady and as you begin to gain traction, the fighting feels more and more natural. You dodge every attack, weave through the bodies on the floor, send blinding light toward those who block your path—it feels like a repetitive, yet lethal game. One wrong move and you could be dead.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see the General. He’s favoring his left shoulder, but faring quite well despite his limited movements. He lights his enemies on fire. Wherever he goes, bodies burn and drop to the ground into ashes. The red flames reflect in his black eyes, and for a moment, you realize he looks menacing. Sweat drips down his face, tinging the ends of his hair, too. There’s blood on his hands, but you don’t think it’s his own. He seems to have been trailing behind you this entire time, ready to take action if anyone were to hurt you in any way.
A part of you is grateful, but another part of you worries. Maybe he doesn’t trust you after all. Why else would he be trailing behind you? Does he think you’re not capable of—
You meet eyes with a man. A man who halts when he sees you too.
You don’t know why but your hand flies to your pendant, which had untucked itself from your uniform.
Something electric sizzles down your spine.
Your jaw goes slack.
Your vision becomes blurry.
Suddenly, images flash before you.
Him reaching behind you to clasp your necklace on. Him leaning down to kiss your cheek. Him wiping the tears rolling down your face. Him making you laugh, him making you smile, him making you cry. Fighting with him, dancing with him, running with him.
It all comes so quickly. Too quickly.
You’re left breathless.
It’s him.
The man in your dreams.
The man who gave you the necklace.
The man who loved you.
But…
Why is he wearing the enemy’s colors?
Why is he raising his bloodied sword?
Why is there a flash of light?
Why are you suddenly falling?
And why? Why do you hear the General screaming your name before your world goes black?

5 - the new student who wants to learn (5)
In Diana and Selene's absence, the Boys of Destiny took responsibility for ______'s training, helping her to hone her powers and improve her combat techniques, in the hope of recovering her memories as Princess Dalia in this way. With beaming eyes and a determined smile on his face, Eugene teleported her to Tritonis. Located 60 km from the Silver Palace, Tritonis is one of the provinces conquered by the Coronas Plateadas and also home to the colossal ruins of the Celestial Arena. Once an imposing structure perched above the Silver Millennium, they now found themselves in a state of decay and disrepair. The arena, which was once the scene of epic battles between celestial warriors, and iconic conflicts between Solarian soldiers from El Dourado and Lunar fighters from the Silver Millennium, was now in ruins, with collapsed walls and broken columns. The vaulted ceiling, which used to be ornamented with scenes of celestial battles, now had large holes that allowed sunlight to penetrate inside. The stadium floor was littered with broken stones and rubble, and the stands that used to seat thousands of spectators were now empty and covered in moss. Some of the marble staircases leading up to the stands were still intact, but many others had collapsed.
Despite its decay, it still exuded an aura of grandeur and mystery. Its walls and columns were decorated with intricate carvings and geometric patterns that seemed to move and change shape as the sunlight changed position. In some spots, fragments of colorful mosaics could still be seen, reminding visitors that the arena was once a masterpiece of celestial art and architecture.
Regardless of its current seemingly useless condition, the ancient Celestial Arena is still a sacred place to many denizens of the Silver Millennium, where its walls tell tales of how the strongest celestial warriors fought to defend their worlds and their royalty. The ruins continued to exude a sense of power and grandeur even in their decayed state, a testament to the greatness that was once lunar civilization.
Eugene's chest filled with euphoria as he looked at the majestic ruins, remembering his History of Magic lessons given by Selene and DK, but ______ remained indifferent to his excitement.
"Oh ______, don't you think this place is amazing?"
"Where are we again?"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHERE ARE WE?!?!?!" Eugene yelled "This is the grand Celestial Arena! Iconic setting of the Eclipse War! A masterpiece of Silver Millennial architecture!"
"To you, because to me this is all a useless bunch of broken rocks." _____ rolled his eyes
"Are you kidding me? It was here that your highness commanded an army of Lunari mages and high-ranking warriors from the Corona Plateadas to drive the Solaris and an echelon of enhanced humans with Sun magic from Tritonis!"
"And she won?"
"SHE WON!" the young paladin shouted
"Wow! What does Selene offer you that is so good to talk about her with such animation and eloquence?"
"She gave us everything! A place in her kingdom, new adventures, knowledge and the authority to silence your rants and start training!"
"If you insist." _____ laughed through his nose
Eugene and ______ were in position, ready to begin magical combat training. The paladin had his holy sword drawn, while the reincarnated fairy princess floated in the air with a determined look in her eyes.
He began to move quickly, using his teleportation ability to get closer to the fairy princess. She, in turn, used her gravity control powers to create a barrier that prevented the paladin from advancing. He tried to lash out with his sword, but she used her telekinesis to dodge the blow.
He charged forward, lunging with his sword as _____ dodged deftly and hurled small blue balls of light in his direction. He defended himself with his sword, blocking each attack with precision.
So she decided to change her tactics. She closed her eyes and concentrated on her telepathy power, reading Eugene's thoughts to discover her weaknesses. She found he was thinking of one of the ancient statues, especially those representing Selene's ancient guardians.
She opened her eyes and focused on one of the statues of Artemis, the oldest of Selene's guardians. She channeled her telekinetic power, making the statue move and appear to approach Eugene. The paladin was momentarily distracted, allowing her to attack with more intensity.
He realized her friend's delusion and quickly composed himself, lunging forward and slashing with his sword. With no time to dodge, she was hit and fell to the ground, but she got up immediately.
"I have to admit, you are becoming a strong opponent, _____" said Eugene, with a smile. "But there's still a lot to learn."
The two looked at each other for a moment, before pulling away from each other. They knew they still had a lot to learn and perfect in their magical combat powers, but they were willing to put in the effort to become stronger. After all, they would have to be ready to protect the Silver Millennium from any threat.

Sooha, after winning last year's battle against Dardan, the Prime Vampire, has been reborn as Selen, princess of Opole, a cold kingdom 65 km north of the capital of the Silver Millennium. Known for its stalwart Emerald Grape vines and prime boar meat, Opole, once a kingdom whose Lunari were enslaved by Dardan in a darkness that seemed eternal, its now free, but Sooha had made a great sacrifice to stop them and his vampires from New Moon. She absorbed the blood and spirit of Vahgr, the wolf-god, thus awakening her powers as a Lunari princess, giving up her mortality to fight alongside Heli and his brothers. Now, she had transformed into a semi-mortal woman, more powerful and confident and endowed with an enviable beauty for her future subjects.
Her hair, once dark and silky, now became a cascade of silver strands, shining like the moonlight, cascading down her shoulders, highlighting her deep, piercing blue eyes. Her skin took on a pale, radiant, almost ethereal hue, complemented by her peach-sweet rosy lips. Her pale skin seems lit by moonlight, and her delicate but determined features convey her newfound strength and power. She is dressed in a long ice-blue formal gown embroidered with silver threads that shimmer in the moonlight. The dress has long sleeves and a high collar that protects her from the bitter cold of Opole's kingdom. Her feet are covered in brown leather boots that go up to the knee, providing protection from snow and ice. She was sitting at her oak desk, with a stack of History of Magic books stacked in front of her. Her tutor, a gray-haired wise old man, sat beside her, reading silently as she flipped through the pages. As she read the stacked books, some of her past life memories flashed back with each lunar cycle, but still she had a lot to learn about her lineages, so the tutor was responsible for updating her on the new customs of this new Lunar Empire. He, a gray-haired wise old man, sat beside her, reading in silence as she flipped through the pages. He was reading aloud from an ancient book about the lineage of Lunari queens and their deeds.
"Interesting, isn't it?" The tutor remarked, his gaze lifting from his tome. "All matrons of the Kynthos lineage are renowned for their potent sorcery and just governance. They have been the architects of numerous notable accomplishments within the realm of wizardry, amassing devotees with each lunar cycle and amassing triumphs against the nefarious Sun Empire."
"So, is there any chance that I will one day become the Queen of the Silver Millennium?" she asked the tutor, with a hint of hope in her voice.
"Verily, nay, Your Grace."
"What? Why not?"
"Since the ascension of Queen Selene I, hath been established a tribal royal matriarchy within thine empire. Each house of the Lunari elite doth select its representative, and a Celestial Assembly is opened every 3,000 years to elect the next Mother Moon to assume the throne."
"So even with my powers awake..." she asked wistfully
The tutor shook his head in response.
"Apologies, my princess, but neither thy lineage, nor the house to which Your Excellency belongs, hath been revealed. This doth signify that thou shalt have to await the next Celestial Assembly, in approximately 3000 years' time, when the next mother-moon shall be chosen."
Sooha lowered her head in dismay. She has always wondered about her future and wondered if one day she would be able to rule over the Silver Millennium. But now, the thought of waiting another 3000 years to find out if she had a chance seemed like an eternity.
"That's a long time! How can I wait so long to discover my destiny?"
The tutor stood up." Thou art young, my lady. Thou hast much time ahead and much to learn. Who knows what the future holds?
She sighed and nodded. She knew her tutor was right. There was so much she needed to know and a lot to keep preparing for any eventuality. After all, she was still a Lunari princess in training and had important responsibilities to fulfill.
With that in mind, she turned her attention back to History of Magic classes, determined to learn all she could about the Lunari queens' lineage and the Silver Millennium's future, with her professor about to emerge from the bookshop to give her privacy to pursue her studies, but just as she was about to leave, the princess asked about an image in her book: a silhouette of a tall woman, with long flowing straight white hair who was wearing a long white dress and a silver crown on top of her head. In her hands she held tightly her staff that emanated an intense silver light, with black chains of pure malachite pointed towards another woman, whose long black hair fell in a cascade over her shoulders, like a cloud of darkness. Her eyes were an intense red glow, with an expression of fury on her face.
"Sir Marek, what is this?"
"Sadly, thou hast uncovered a dark chapter in thy history, Majesty: the Triad Civil War."
"Triad, Civil War?" she asked in a terrified tone
Marek grabbed the book off her desk, open to that dreaded chapter in the History of Magic. With his hands he invoked his illusion magic to show those images, as he told the story.
"The Triad Civil War began when the New Moon Witch and her army of corrupted vampires invaded the Silver Millennium. The newly crowned Queen Selene, in her youth, led her mother Diana's troops to combat the threat, but the witch was a powerful sorceress, and her dark abilities were difficult to confront. The battle was long, and many lives were lost. However, eventually, Selene managed to drive out the witch and her followers to Alexandrite, which once was a sanctuary of pure moon magic. Sadly, corruption, hatred, and the thirst for revenge spread throughout the kingdom in the form of an intense, toxic, and corrosive mist in shades of red, purple, and dark green, pure darkness. Thus, Alexandrite transformed into Obsidian, a ruined realm filled with dark magic, nightmares, and tormented spirits. It became a frightening and perilous place that no one dares to visit."
Sooha listened attentively to the story and imagined what would become of that place. She wondered if the New Moon witch was still there, ruling over the corrupted vampires and guessed that her dear friends from Decelis Academy might be those vampires. She felt a shiver run down her spine just thinking about it and shook her head to skake it off this thought.
"What happened with the New Moon Witch?" She asked.
"Verily, Your Highness, no soul knoweth for certain. 'Tis said she doth still reside there, ruling Obsidian with an iron fist. Yet, there be no recent accounts of visitors to the realm, or if there be any, they ne'er hath been made known, for those who dared venture into Obsidian were consumed by the New Moon's corruption and never did return." he answered.
She closed the book and looked out the window, wondering what was going on in Obsidian right now. She wondered if she would ever be strong enough to face the witch and her followers. She was determined to find out. If her destiny as a princess was to stop her, she will train hard until that impure woman's sins are paid for.

Solaria is a city built around a huge arena, surrounded by high walls of golden stone, located in the center of the El Dorado Empire. The city has a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, and is known as the most renowned military training center in the empire, where the strongest and most skilled soldiers are trained to serve the Horak, the Solari army.
The arena is the heart of Solaria, and is used to train and test soldiers' combat skills. It is a large circle of yellow sand, surrounded by raised stands, where high-ranking officers watch training and mock battles. Surrounding the arena are many barracks, training academies, meditation areas, and classrooms where soldiers learn the most advanced tactics and strategy.
Its buildings are all built in golden stone, with details in red and orange, the colors of the sun. There are many sun flags throughout the site, symbolizing the soldiers' loyalty to the empire and the sun. The city is bustling and noisy, with soldiers in training marching through the streets and officers moving around in carriages.
It is also known for its golden tower working as a meeting place for elite Solari diplomats, who come to discuss treaties and political agreements with the empire. There are many luxury hotels and fine restaurants in the city, catering to the needs of diplomats. However, the atmosphere is still dominated by militarism and loyalty to the sun, which are the foundations of the El Dorado empire.
Now Diana and Selene were in the meeting room, ready to negotiate a peace treaty between the Empires of the Sun and the Moon. Diana sat in a chair, while Selene stood beside her, her hands clasped in front of her. In front of her was a large table, with representatives of the El Douradorian elite seated on the other side. Among them are Ra, ambassador of El Dorado, Marshal Surya, leader of Golden Vanguard warriors, Vivasvan, nephew of Apollo, judge of the house of Delos, the family responsible for the Judiciary power of the empire, Inti, priest of the Golden Temple and Nefrita, healer and leader of the Farmers of Medicinal Plants. Everyone was seated at a round table, with Diana and Selene in front of them.
"Thank you for the invitation, ambassadors." Selene and Diana bowed.
"The honor is ours, Scorn of the Moon." Vivasvan bowed back
"My nephew was right to summon you, as we face an emergency situation!"
"Well, say it." Diana exclaimed in a firm voice
"Hordes of shadows are attacking our roadside and scaring away tourists from our Empire! Something needs to be done!" dictated Surya
"We understand. What can we do to get around this situation?"
"We demand that Clan Kynthos take responsibility for this crisis!" roared Ra
"This is nonsense, Ambassador!" The soldier slammed both hands on the table and stood up "Our family has no involvement in these attacks!"
"How not? Hecate, the unholy witch you consider your daughter, was in power millennia ago." accused Apollo "Didn't you stop to think that your daughter might be sending these shadows to seize the throne and thus plot a coup against our glorious Empire?"
And for over 2 hours, Diana and the Solari ambassadors argued and verbally abused each other, losing control of their mental faculties, generating a massive wave of negative energy, one that Selene could see from a thousand miles away. outside the hall, Selene also saw lurking shadows feeding on this aura. For a long time she was silent, watching them trade insults and vilify their authorities, until 3 hours later, she got up and angrily slammed her fist under the table.
"ENOUGH!" Selene screamed, her brow furrowed and her teeth as white as moonlight clenched together. "ENOUGH OF THESE BASELESS INUSTS!"
"HOW DARE YOU, LITTLE GIRL!?" Apollo snapped "WHO ARE YOU TO RAISE YOUR VOICE WITH US?!?!"
"I am Selene, Silver Millennium's queen and future empress of Elysium! As the highest authority of the Kynthos clan, I will not tolerate my family being slandered in this way! If this is the ONLY way to negotiate peace between the Sun and Moon peoples, then I will refuse your preposterous conditions! As long as I live, our Lunari kind won't no longer…"
"DAUGHTER, WATCH OUT!"
The marshal of the Corona Plateadas noticed that one of the shadows was going to hurt her with its poisonous malachite claws, but with her silver steel katana, with its curved and sharp tip, she cut the hand that would attack her daughter.
"Everyone, get out of here! This is an ambush!" Diana ordered
A dark green toxic and corrosive mist raged across Solaria. The Solarian citizens suffocated, intoxicated by the evil mist. But Diana and Selene, the Lunari leaders, were not intimidated, with the swing of Selene's staff, they teleported out of the arena and directly confronted the shadows, however, these shadows were different from the others, they were taller, more robust and they had an almost indestructible physical body that regenerates with each injured member, even so, they advanced and struck tirelessly in the hope of finding a weak point for those creatures, however, Diana lost her daughter in the pursuit. Cornered like a silverwing caged by a hunter, the marshal tries to move in the face of the fog, but is hit by a sudden movement in her back. Due to the force of the blow, she let her sword slip from her fingers, losing her body balance until she fell unconscious on her stomach. At the same time that her mother was slaughtered, Selene felt her heart sink. After expelling the shadows from a tapestry stall in the open market, she noticed the mist lifting and ran towards the battle site, but only found a still, pale and bloody body, with a huge tear in her dress and an open wound. in your column. The mother moon knelt down and let her boiling tears of anger fall on her face. She dug her nails into the sand and lifted her head, screaming her chest open. Next to her was Nefrita and her healer followers, still confused and in shock from the attack on the tower, Nefrita asked with a hand placed on the mother moon's shoulder.
"Mrs.Kynthos, what happened?"
However, Selena's time seemed to run out again, when he saw clouds of darkness covering the golden and burning sun of Solaria. Meanwhile, footsteps of shadows covered the ground, accompanied by a tall woman in the center, that was Melinoe, the Shadow Caller.
Melinoe, the Shadow Caller, exudes an aura of enigmatic allure. With long, flowing ebony locks cascading down her back, she is the embodiment of darkness personified. Her eyes, a mesmerizing shade of deep malachite, seem to hold the secrets of the night itself, hinting at the power she wields.
Clad in a flowing cloak of midnight black, adorned with intricate silver symbols, she moves with an ethereal grace. Her slender fingers, adorned with darkened rings, effortlessly command the shadows to dance at her will. Her pale complexion contrasts against the darkness surrounding her, further accentuating her mysterious presence.
Melinoe's attire is a reflection of her connection to the shadows. She wears a gown of black silk, fitted yet flowing, as if it were crafted from the essence of darkness itself. Intricate patterns of silver, green and red thread traced in the edges, shimmering in the faint light. A medley of feathers and chains hang delicately from her waist, each carrying a hint of ancient magic.
As she glides through the shadows, her voice resonates like a haunting melody, invoking a sense of both fear and fascination. Her enchanting presence is a testament to her mastery over the shadows, drawing all who witness her into the depths of her enigmatic world. She stands as a captivating figure towards the Mother Moon with a malicious smile as she watches Selene growl in anger. Her deep blue eyes didn't stray from the witch for even a minute and his teeth clenched, brow furrowed and fists clenched, showed complete hostility towards the witch. tThe witch grinned with the queen's despair, leaving those who encountered her in both awe and trepidation.
"Greetings, Your Majesty." Melinoe said
"Miss, what does all that mean?" The healer asked in shock.
"We have no time to lose." she responded by handing her mother's body over to Nefrita's arms. "Take my mother as far away as you can."
The queen got up panting and tried to punch the woman, but she dodged it easily. Shadows dance around Melinoe and Selene as they engage in an intense battle. Selene, driven by fury and determination, launches luminous attacks with her lunar energy, while Melinoe summons darkness to envelop her in a mist of shadows.
Selene fights with all her might, her sword gleaming silver as she swings in with quick, accurate slashes. However, Melinoe, skilled in her dark art, dodges with agility and counterattacks with sinister spells, seeking to weaken her opponent.
Despite the queen's best efforts, she finds herself at a disadvantage in the face of her dark magic. Every blow she lands is blocked or dispelled by the shadows, and she feels the weariness weigh on her wounded body. Determined to avenge her injured mother, she draws on all her reserves of energy, but it doesn't seem to be enough.
With a heavy heart and heavy breathing, she kneels on the ground, feeling her impending defeat. Tears of frustration and anger slide down her cheeks as she looks up at dark sky, seeking the strength to carry on.
In the midst of despair, Selene closes her eyes and her lips move in a silent prayer. Waves of silver energy envelop her body and propagate through the air, depositing the maximum hope from the bottom of her heart, expecting that her prayer will be answered.
A/N: New chapter at the NEW moon? Not much usual, but since this chapter has relevance for the future, I needed to post it like this.
A/N²: Also, for everyone's happiness (or unhappiness), Sooha is back.

A/N³: But, she's back too! Nice to write you, Sowon!

What are your preliminary thoughts on the Second Foundation by Brown? I agree somewhat about Dors, and think it gets better, but I also imagine that she’d become more pessimistic and exhausted long after Hari died. I mean, her life is long so she could go through a lot of personality shifts. Daneel seems to always be his enigmatic flamboyant self though which I appreciate. I feel like he was too “edgy” in the Bear/Brin/Benford books esp the first book. Even TV Demerzel has a softer and sassier side, and she only uses malice in a strategic way. And you can’t blame her for her dark moods…..
Hi! As for now, at Chapter 8 (Luna) I can say I'm pleasantly surprised. It seems to me that Brown is tying all the Galactic Ends (First and Second Foundations, Gaia, Solaria, the robot factions) together in a way that's more reminiscent of Asimov's series. I especially appreciate how he's tackled the Fallom issue and the Solarians, it feels very realistic.
On Dors: although I pretty much still stand by the post I made yesterday, I'm glad she has a more active role later on. It's written that being with Jos gives her a feeling of kinship, and I hope this has an impact later on (not in a romantic sense, I hope. She misses Hari and has a kind of situationship with Lodovik -I'm not really sure if they're meant to be read as a couple-, but maybe on her greater purpose in life).
And Daneel. Please someone save him he's gotten robodepression. It's interesting how he's recognizing that his plans have been ineffective and he's suffering from it, but I appreciate this angle more than the Second Foundation Trilogy's Daneel, who played god a little too much for my tastes. Ok for steering humanity, but straight-up genetic engineering and causing mass extinction of non-human life forms? (In all honesty, it felt like Benford, Bear and Brin just took Asimov's characters and forgot everything about their canon characterization... and it wasn't very pleasant to read. Happy Seldom totally my OC donut steal XOXO) Brown just has him working on the sidelines and, again, it feels more coherent to Asimov's characterization.
Overall I got a positive impression, and I hope the rest of the book won't disappoint! I hope I answered everything, otherwise I'm always happy to answer other questions and/or chat!

im sorry but where does the whole solarian/lunarian thing come from? i see a lot of people put that in their rewrites but i have no recollection of that in the show? is it from the comics or something?? im admittedly not the biggest fan of it but i straight up dont know where it came from
I actually dunno tbh
I just think a lot of us don’t like empires and see the fact that there’s a separation in how Radius and Luna’s positions are talked about and ran with it
For me personally (this could be how others view it too, I just don’t know because I haven’t asked anyone else really), I also know Stella is a huge daddy’s girl in the show and has a stronger connection to him and by proxy her sun stuff, and given the way the show phased out her moon powers and in the Nick rewrite, completely erased them, I took that and ran with it to mean there’s more shame or discouragement associated with moon based magic on Solaria. Given it’s literally called Solaria,, as in, Sun shit, and there’s no mention of the moon in their royal court stuff or in general, I felt like that only made the idea for the discussion surrounding Lunarian stuff as lesser even juicier given the implied context.
I love a good commentary on how empires and monarchs are evil too and political intrigue is a huge part of my rewrite. It’s super present in my everyday life and it only made sense to me to include it in this stuff because, yeah, politics are everywhere, and it’s going to be EXTRA loud if the girls are doing realm saving stuff that effects literally every planet and group out there as a result and a few of them are literally government figures.
@charmixpower has pretty much everything from the comics memorized so I’ll ask er if there’s anything in particular from those that made it happen for people or you can send er an ask, but I have no idea tbh I’ve only skimmed some of them and they were mainly Bloom centric in plot because I’m basic lol
Anyway tho it’s fair if you don’t like it obviously. To each their own! And you are more than welcome to make your own version if you aren’t already that doesn’t include that! I’m always excited to see more people’s takes on Winx Club I am not normal about this show clearly and I never will be lol
Edit: was just talking to one of my friends about this and they pointed out that their rewrite doesn’t really have this dynamic if you wanna check theirs out! Their blog is @kitrewritestheinx:)

i wasn't completely honest. ( from a certain dragon )
'Sweetlust' prompts . accepting
It was, simply put, an odd event.
King Adolphus had never been one of Melissa's favorite neighbors - for the very first few years of her reign and while Solaris still suffered with the constant fear and disrupted trade routes caused by Daigo (not that the beast had been entirely tamed, but the royal marriage had vastly improved living conditions), the country had desperately needed help. Many letters were sent - all of them ignored, not just by Adolphus.
However, his reactions had been not just passive - rather than not responding, there had been sightings and reports of his army moving towards the border. Almost as if the foreign ruler had been waiting for Solaris' ultimate failure and disappearance, hoping to annex the lands and claim whatever treasures were outside Daigo's reach.
Now, almost a decade later, geopolitics had taken a turn - Melissa was praised as a brave strategist, the younger princesses had been matched to promising and kind royals of other countries and her family flourished. The dragon had agreed not to destroy the people's crops and to hunt in a way that offered him some thrill... But did not create vast damage or harm to the locals. Over the last couple of months, the brunette had received more proposals and treaty offerings than their nation had ever seen.
Adolphus was among the guests they welcomed for such conversations - but while Melissa graciously awarded him the same courtesy granted to other invitees, the foreign king could not disguise his disdain for her choice in spouse. Daigo didn't even spend most of the time in the palace rooms, holding meetings - he found them horribly tedious - but apparently, gossip had a way of finding the dragon. Or maybe he just knew his wife well and could tell she was upset (on his behalf - which was immensely funny because a dragon older than earth itself required no protectors).
Daigo couldn't care less for insults coming from creatures he deemed to be less important than ants - but he cared for his treasure; and if someone upset Melissa, then he wasn't about to ignore that fact.
So when the news from Adolphus' resignation reached the Solarian throne, the queen was surprised to hear of it. Her counterpart had been ambitious and greedy - the sheer terms of the last deal he had proposed between their nations were almost insane, assuming that Melissa was willing to deploy Daigo as a watcher or guardian of his borders in exchange for some agricultural goods they now had in abundance. Besides, the idea of asking anything of the dragon insulted Melissa - he was not a weapon, even if many saw him as such.
He was the king of Solaris and she did not appreciate the way Adolphus simultaneously appeared to condemn their union while asking for protection.
Late that night, the queen found Daigo in their bed chambers - he looked strangely behaved, almost as if waiting for her. While Melissa disrobed and untied her hair, they made casual conversation - which the gem dragon usually didn't care for either. When she climbed their shared nest, the queen hovered over Daigo, remaining on all fours for a bit - a curious reversal of the position many imagined them to often take.
"What did you do to Adolphus?"
"Nothing," he said, and blinked strangely; at that point, Melissa was sure that Daigo meant the opposite, and yet for some reason... He was resulting to some horrible lying.
"Daigo, what are you not telling me?"
"Fine," he snarled, and then looked like himself for a bit - some sort of displeasure colored his features, and his shape changed a bit; the horns grew larger, the scales covered more of his face, "I wasn't completely honest. I might have paid him a visit and threatened to pick my teeth with his bones and those of his children if he ever treated you badly again."
Ah. Now it all made sense. Releasing the air from her lungs, Melissa then lowered herself over the dragon, enjoying the added warmth of his presence - her chambers were never cold post their union, really (which was a blessing considering how readily clothes were shredded, accidentally or not). Her right hand touched one of the horns, and then she went in for a kiss atop his nose before meeting his lips sweetly.
"And why did you not wish to tell me you had done so? I thought you didn't care for politics."
"I do not - I only care he upset you and I do not allow for it," Daigo grumbled, claws reaching for his wife's body and pressing her down to him - akin to a hug and, Melissa realized, in an attempt to reproduce her own comforting gestures, even if they were a bit alien to him. This, the queen figured, was the gem demon trying to look after her on her own terms - a fantastic display of tolerance, but only because it pertained to her (his treasure).
"You have been upset before when I mauled foreign visitors who spoke out of turn - you never said you would be against threatening them," he explained, and Melissa found herself laughing - giggling, really, lowering herself for more kisses that were fast and light, falling all over his draconic features with a sweet sigh at the end.
"You are quite right - and not at all in trouble," the brunette added, what was a hilarious statement to make - as if a single human held the power to burden the mighty one that roamed the world eons before Melissa's ancestors came to Solarian land, "I loathed the man anyway - I only wish I could have seen his face when you scared him to death, that is all."

“Citizens of Solaria, I have tragic news. Rosalind Hale, headmistress of Alfea, is dead. It is a grave loss not only for the students of Alfea but for the entire realm. Rosalind was one of the bravest fairies the Otherworld has ever seen. Respected by her peers. Feared by her enemies. But fear will not dictate how we respond. There is a guilty party, and they will be brought to justice... Blood Witches. Their hatred of our kind is well known. But a heinous act such as this is unprecedented, carried out by their leader, Sebastian Valtor. Every Blood Witch following him is considered an enemy of the Crown. We will use the full weight of our military against them. And make no mistake... this is an act of war.”
You glared at the projection of Queen Luna making a statement to the whole of Solaria. Virgil stood behind you, his arms wrapped around your waist, holding you back from the projection. Adara and Fallon were both in the same position as you, Aife and Hunter holding them back respectively.
“Breath...”
“War.” You scoffed, moving Virgil arms from around you. “A teenager just started another fucking war! Move! I’m going to cut a fucking bitch!”
Fallon and Adara both moved towards you before also holding you back.
“Nope.” They replied, knowing your short temper. Aife then turned to her ringing phone, seeing a text from Cathán.
Baby ❤❤
Omw to Alfea. Tribunal for Bloom.
“It’s time for Act Three.” Aife said to the group. The rest nodded solemnly before heading back towards Alfea. When they arrived back inside Alfea, they noticed the number of Solarian guards standing guard outside the Headmistress’ office.
“We can go. Find out what’s happening.” Adara stated, nodding at Virgil.
“Fal and I can go see Cathán. Get a royal update.” Aife stated, causing you to nod before they headed out. You then turned your head towards Hunter, biting your lower lip.
“Could you get the witches ready?” You asked, pleadingly. “Ask them if they want to fight. If not, get them to the safe house. Get some of the specialists outside too.”
With a nod, Hunter too left, leaving you alone outside the office. Sounds from inside had you moving away from the door, hiding in the shadows. Beatrix had left the office first, not long followed by Stella. Eyes wide, you noticed Stella had tears in her eyes and her breathing was shaking. As soon as Stella’s footsteps faded from hearing, you headed back towards your dorm, where you found Aife and Fallon. The three of you began planning entrances for the specialists after a phone call from your spy in Sebastian’s group.
“We can get in here and here.” Fallon stated, pointing at the East Wing and a tunnel that led behind one of your bookshelves.
“Okay. James? How long till Sebastian is set to come in?” You asked as the three of you stared at the campus blueprints on the table before you.
“Apparently, he has a mole inside. They said something about tonight.” James’ voice called out from the phone they had placed on speaker.
“Tonight?!” The three of you chorused in alarm, before your dorm door was slammed opened. The three of you had drawn out your swords, ready for an attack when you noticed the faces of Virgil and Adara.
“They found Dowling.” They said in unison simply.
“What the fuck?!” The rest of you exclaimed in shock, James’ voice still ringing through the phone.
“Hey, James. I’ll call you back.” You stated before hanging up the phone. “Adara. Virgil. Dowling’s dead.”
“Apparently, she ‘called upon the natural world to preserve her’. And she’s teaching the Winx suit how to use transformation magic.”
“Shit.” You cursed under your breath before your phone rang again, Cathán calling this time. “Tell me it’s good news.”
“Bavani knows Bloom’s gone. She’s going to check dorms soon and Silva is heading for Sebastian’s hideout.” Cathán replied, causing you to sigh deeply and pinch the bridge of your nose. You looked up at the group before shaking your head.
“Thanks Cathán. But, um... Silva isn’t going to find them there.” You replied before hanging up. “We do this and there is no coming back. People will doubt us and most likely will not trust us. So battle stations.”
You began to separate the others into squads. Each group, excluding the squad leader, would have 4 specialists, 2 mind fairies, 2 blood witches and at least one other fairy. The team leaders were Fallon, Aife, Adara, Virgil, Brooklyn (a water fairy), Dawn (a light fairy), Aella (an air fairy), Ezekiel (a mind fairy), Cathán and you. James would still be spying on Sebastian, alongside his team of blood witches that he led. Hunter was in the safe house with the underaged blood witches and those with PTSD. They were not going to increase their trauma for this.
Suddenly, all the lights in the school went out. The group glanced at each other before you said,
“For the children.”
“For the children.” They repeated, arming themselves.

Neat, I'm probably going into a different direction with mine, with them meeting again as adults and becoming close then, I imagine young Toffee as a bit too standoffish/paranoid during the brief time they knew each other as teens for them to have really connected, and Eclipsa being too sheltered to understand what he'd been through didn't help. I kinda like the idea of her looking back on that as an adult and having a bit more sympathy for him in hindsight, and him being more open to a friendship now that he isn't trying to kill her mom.
That’s so cool!! I must agree I do think their dynamic as adults is just as interesting as hypotheticals around their dynamic as kids. I just can’t talk about my own adult Toffipsa headcanons because AU spoilers 💀
I find the idea of Eclipsa being too sheltered to understand the full extent of what Toffee and other monsters have been through ingenious, and it’s something I practice myself. She really wouldn’t fully understand and grasp what it’s like to live in Mewni as a monster, especially during her mother’s reign, and I don’t think she ever could. (At least, I don’t think she’d have any taste of it until she lost her mother, but that’s not entirely comparable)
But what I love about Eclipsa is that she tries to understand. In my head, young Eclipsa is a curious one who constantly rambles on and on, chattering away and asking questions to better understand the monsters. She’s the only princess who’s ever done something like that. She can never fully know but she tries to know as much as she can because of how much she LOVES the monsters. That’s why one of my headcanons is that she was the one who came up with the idea of a Mewni without magic, planting the idea in Toffee’s head. She’d talked to both Toffee and Globgor about their experiences as monsters so much and she’s smart enough to connect the dots and realize “Oh! It’s magic. Magic is a huge source of a lot of these problems.” (Which wouldn’t equal her thinking magic is bad but it gets her… and Toffee… thinking.)
As for Toffee, I absolutely agree that he was a paranoid child/teen, especially during the time he knew Eclipsa. But I interpret that paranoia in a very different way. In my AU he’s less paranoid about Eclipsa, because she saved his life and gained his trust (that took a while to build), but other Mewmans and the war in general no doubt terrifies him. With the stories he’s heard from Seth and the face he had to watch his own mother die at the hands of a Solarian he has every reason to be paranoid. (Though his paranoia is expressed as a lot more innocent and nervous because he hasn’t quite reached his angry paranoid era yet.) Eclipsa was the one Mewman he could trust, especially because she promised to stop the conflict between Mewmans and Monsters as soon as she became Queen.
And oh boy that went well…
His paranoia and her naïvety is absolutely a cause for internal conflict. Even if she helps build his courage and he helps to educate her on life as a monster in Mewni, there’s a fundamental conflict of her privilege and his lack of. It doesn’t interfere with their friendship, which is very healthy (up until Solaria’s death), but it doesn’t change that he may have moments of envy for her position and power, before quickly wiping those thoughts away. There’s no doubt she’s accidentally said things that have hurt him within realizing, and he has to gather the courage to tell her how it affected him. It’s a balancing act that didn’t cause conflict for a long time up until… their fallout… which, that goes into spoiler territory…
As for… Toffee being the one who killed Solaria/plotting to kill Solaria…
If I’m being honest I’ve never liked that idea.
I think the idea is fascinating in a bottle and he has every right to want that despicable irredeemable genocidal tyrant dead and buried. Everyone has the right to their own interpretation of the character and I’m fascinated and very interested to see your take on how that works, but ever since Daron alluded it in her AMA it’s made my eyes roll.
And that’s entirely my own biases. I’ve had my interpretation of Toffee for so long and my backstory/AU to go along with it, so I’m pretty stubborn in my ways, and Toffee killing Solaria just doesn’t fit into it. There are a few legitimate reasons, and I could go into why that is, but it basically boils down to a lack of personal conviction and the fact that Seth is RIGHT THERE and IN HIS PRIME. With Solaria it feels like Toffee would just be another one of the hundreds of monsters who want to kill a genocidal tyrant. It doesn’t have the same personal weight like Comet’s death does.
I think this also heavily influenced by my Toffipsa headcanons. As much as Toffee hates Solaria he wouldn’t want Eclipsa to lose her mom like he did.
But again, and I must insist, I love love love hearing different interpretations of my fav!! I think the community around Toffee is beautiful and wonderful for that reason alone. Everyone has their own headcanons for him and their own backstories and interpretations and I eat it UP. Just because it isn’t like mine doesn’t make it wrong, and I love this community for that reason alone!! The Toffee fandom is my favorite corner of the internet because we all see this jerk lizard in our own unique ways and simultaneously love each other’s ideas.
Looking forward to see the ideas around your versions/ideas around Eclipsa and Toffee, Solaria death plot and all!! I’m sure it’ll be a great and unique take on such a fascinating character with enormous potential :>
