A Comprehensive Guide to Smart Contract Auditing: Best Practices and Strategies
Tumblr media
In the rapidly evolving landscape of blockchain technology, smart contracts have emerged as a transformative tool, automating and securing digital contracts without intermediaries. However, their reliance on immutable code leaves them vulnerable to vulnerabilities that can cause significant financial losses and reputational damage. Smart contract auditing plays a crucial role in mitigating these risks by systematically reviewing code for potential flaws and vulnerabilities. This comprehensive guide explores the best practices and strategies involved in smart contract auditing, emphasizing the importance of thorough review processes, secure coding practices and proactive risk management. By understanding and implementing these principles, developers and stakeholders can enhance the security, reliability and trustworthiness of their smart contracts in decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain ecosystems.
Understanding Smart Contract Audits
What is a Smart Contract Audit?
A smart contract audit is a thorough examination of the code and functionality of a smart contract to identify potential vulnerabilities, bugs or security risks. It aims to ensure that the smart contract behaves as intended, securely manages assets and complies with specified business rules and regulatory requirements. Audits are typically conducted by specialized firms or teams with expertise in blockchain technology and security practices, using both automated tools and manual review processes to assess the contract's codebase.
Key Objectives of Smart Contract Audits
The primary objectives of Smart Contract Audits include:
Security Assurance: To identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities such as reentrancy, overflow errors or logic flaws that could be exploited by malicious actors.
Functional Accuracy: To verify that the smart contract executes its intended operations correctly, adhering to specified business rules and ensuring accurate handling of transactions and data.
Risk Mitigation: To reduce the risk of financial loss or disruption by addressing potential weaknesses before deployment, thereby enhancing trust among users and stakeholders.
Compliance and Standards: To ensure that the smart contract complies with industry best practices, regulatory requirements and any applicable standards for security and reliability in blockchain applications.
Differences Between Code Audits and Formal Verification
While both are essential components of smart contract validation, code audits and formal verification differ in their methodologies and scope:
Code Audits: Involve a comprehensive review of the smart contract's source code to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to best practices. Auditors typically rely on automated tools and manual inspection to detect bugs or security issues.
Formal Verification: Involves mathematically proving the correctness of a smart contract's code against specified properties or requirements. This rigorous process uses formal methods to verify that the contract behaves as intended under all possible conditions, offering a higher level of assurance but often requiring specialized expertise and computational resources.
By understanding these distinctions and integrating both approaches where appropriate, developers and stakeholders can effectively enhance the security, reliability and functionality of their smart contracts in blockchain applications.
Common Smart Contract Vulnerabilities
Overview of Typical Vulnerabilities:
Smart contracts, despite their promise of security and automation, are susceptible to several common vulnerabilities that can be exploited by malicious actors. Some of the most prevalent vulnerabilities include:
Reentrancy: This vulnerability occurs when a contract calls an external contract before completing its own state changes. If not properly managed, reentrancy can allow an attacker to repeatedly call back into the contract, potentially manipulating its state and causing unexpected behavior.
Integer Overflow and Underflow: Smart contracts often handle numeric values for calculations and storage. Integer overflow happens when a number exceeds its maximum value and wraps around, while underflow occurs when a number becomes negative due to subtraction beyond zero. These conditions can lead to unintended consequences, such as incorrect calculations or unexpected behavior.
Unchecked External Calls: Smart contracts may interact with external contracts or addresses. If these interactions are not properly validated and checked for potential malicious behavior, they can introduce security vulnerabilities, such as unauthorized transfers of assets or manipulation of contract state.
Logic and Design Flaws: These vulnerabilities arise from errors in the logic or design of the smart contract. They can include incorrect assumptions about user behavior, inadequate access control mechanisms or failure to handle edge cases properly, potentially leading to unintended consequences or exploitation.
Real-World Examples of Smart Contract Failures Due to Vulnerabilities:
Several notable incidents have highlighted the consequences of smart contract vulnerabilities:
The DAO Hack (2016): Exploited a reentrancy vulnerability to drain approximately $50 million worth of Ether from The DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization on the Ethereum blockchain. This incident led to a hard fork in Ethereum to recover the funds, highlighting the impact of smart contract vulnerabilities on blockchain communities.
Parity Wallet Bug (2017): A vulnerability in the Parity multi-signature wallet contract resulted in the freezing of hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of Ether. This bug was due to a flaw in the contract's initialization code, demonstrating the critical importance of rigorous auditing and testing in smart contract development.
Integer Overflow Bugs: Various smart contracts have been vulnerable to integer overflow and underflow bugs, leading to unexpected behavior and potential loss of funds. These incidents underscore the need for robust testing and validation of numeric operations in smart contracts.
By understanding these common vulnerabilities and learning from past incidents, developers and auditors can take proactive measures to mitigate risks and enhance the security and resilience of smart contracts in blockchain ecosystems.
Best Practices for Smart Contract Development
Secure Coding Principles for Smart Contracts:
Implementing secure coding practices is crucial to mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance the resilience of smart contracts. Key principles include:
Input Validation: Validate and sanitize all inputs to prevent unexpected data manipulation or exploitation.
Minimize Complexity: Keep smart contracts simple and minimize the number of operations to reduce the risk of introducing bugs or vulnerabilities.
Avoid External Calls During State Changes: Limit or eliminate external calls during critical state changes to prevent reentrancy attacks.
Use Safe Math Libraries: Utilize libraries that provide safe arithmetic operations to prevent integer overflow and underflow vulnerabilities.
Access Control: Implement access control mechanisms to restrict functions and data access to authorized entities only.
Use of Established Libraries and Frameworks:
Utilizing well-established libraries and frameworks can significantly enhance the security and reliability of smart contracts. Benefits include:
Security Audited Code: Libraries and frameworks that have undergone rigorous security audits are less likely to contain vulnerabilities.
Community Support: Established libraries often have a large community of developers who contribute to bug fixes, improvements and security enhancements.
Code Reusability: Reusing trusted code reduces the likelihood of introducing new vulnerabilities and accelerates development timelines.
Importance of Documentation and Comments:
Comprehensive documentation and well-commented code are essential for maintaining and securing smart contracts. Reasons include:
Understanding Contract Functionality: Clear documentation helps developers and auditors understand the intended behavior and logic of the smart contract, reducing the risk of misinterpretation.
Facilitating Audits: Detailed comments and documentation assist auditors in identifying potential vulnerabilities or areas of concern during the audit process.
Enhancing Code Maintenance: Good documentation simplifies future updates and modifications to the smart contract, ensuring continuity and minimizing errors.
By adhering to these best practices, developers can significantly improve the security, reliability and maintainability of smart contracts, contributing to a safer and more robust blockchain ecosystem.
Preparing for a Smart Contract Audit
Initial Code Review and Testing Phases:
Before engaging an external audit, it’s essential to conduct thorough internal reviews and testing:
Internal Code Review: Perform a meticulous internal review of the smart contract code to identify and resolve obvious errors and vulnerabilities. Involve multiple team members to ensure diverse perspectives and catch issues that a single developer might miss.
Automated Testing: Use automated testing frameworks to conduct unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests. Ensure that the tests cover all possible scenarios, including edge cases, to verify the contract behaves as expected.
Manual Testing: Complement automated tests with manual testing to explore unusual or unexpected interactions and user behaviors that automated tests might not cover.
Simulation and Mock Environments: Use simulation tools and mock environments to test the contract in a controlled setting that mimics the live blockchain environment. This helps to identify potential issues related to transaction ordering, gas consumption and network interactions.

In case y’all didn’t know rookie contracts are 3 years with a team option for a 4th…
So at the minimum she’s gonna be in Dallas for 3 years, and 4 if she doesn’t ask for a trade.
Dallas is already working on a dedicated practice facility and arena and honestly our roster is looking solid. She’ll be okay guys. 😁
Tumblr media
To put this in comparison I’m 24 with a masters degree and I make 89k right out of college at an audit firm.
I’m baffled!! Somebody needs to advocate for these players bc this is simply not enough for how much work they put in. 😭
Should be 100k minimum for picks 1-8. Thank god for endorsements and partnerships. Otherwise Paige would never be getting that Purple Lamborghini Urus (her dream car).

Stray Thoughts on My Stand-In Finale
I can't believe that after his accident, they told Ming over the phone that Joe died. Like, what was the urgency?
Yessss feed him! Oh how the tables have turned!!!
Tumblr media
Why do these two look like they're wearing a couples outfit?
Ok, Sol's obsession with Joe makes more sense now. When they first met, he was trying not to get dickmatized by a potential golddigger only to discover too late that he was actually the sweetest, most selfless human alive.
It is very...dude of Ming and Sol to apologize to each other without actually saying sorry. But Sol basically conceding to him officially was very mature of him.
"I can feed myself." [Proceeds to wait for him to come back and feed him.] Lol
Thailand is the country with the most shooting stars.
I feel like I'm watching a shooting star: Ming apologizing is wild. I KNOW he's sorry. I get it. But man have we come a long way.
Somebody come whoop this rickety old man's ass.
OH MY GOD A GUN?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Ugh! NO! Don’t you dare make a solid defense for this old man. Come on!
Ok, fine...if my son suddenly became obsessed with another dude after surviving a depressive downward spiral after losing his ex, I can see why you'd be hesitant to approve yet another romance. But your methods are insane sir.
Sigh Joe out here making empty promises. Mr. I fall off cliffs and volunteer to be taken hostage can't be out here making promises.
Dad's going to pay off your debts as a baby shower gift?! MAKE HIM WORK IT OFF.
Ok so he only wanted a divorce to protect her -- he's still shiesty. The father should've threatened Tong with a gun instead of Joe.
El oh El to Ming swallowing hard when his brother asked Jim to give him a ride. As a sibling, I too would've barfed in my mouth.
Joe is such a good egg with so much integrity. Love that he demanded to audition for the role Ming stole from Tong.
Sol was a real one for admitting he wants to leave so he doesn't have to watch them be together. I would've sent a text from the airport.
A convertible? How much do they pay makeup artists in Thailand?
Me, watching Joe's mom telling him she's getting a kidney AFTER he joins a wealthy family: 🤔 Legally?
I swear if it's not 50 degrees when I get to Thailand -- out here wearing jackets indoors during dinner.
The whole dinner scene with Ming's mom at their place was adorable -- especially them both teasing and praising Ming for his cooking.
It must be SO hard to constantly be compared to your original self, and not get to say, "It me! I'm right here."
I can't believe this clown asked him to renew the contract. Propose marriage. Offer a different contract. Stop reminding us you're crazy.
I really enjoyed this entire series -- from start to finish -- in spite of its MANY problematic scenes.
What a ride. Pun intended.

The commit message describes a highly secure, cryptographically enforced process to ensure the immutability and precise synchronization of a system (True Alpha Spiral) using atomic timestamps and decentralized ledger technology. Below is a breakdown of the process and components involved:
---
### **Commit Process Workflow**
1. **Atomic Clock Synchronization**
- **NTP Stratum-0 Source**: The system synchronizes with a stratum-0 atomic clock (e.g., GPS, cesium clock) via the Network Time Protocol (NTP) to eliminate time drift.
- **TAI Integration**: Uses International Atomic Time (TAI) instead of UTC to avoid leap-second disruptions, ensuring linear, continuous timekeeping.
2. **Precision Timestamping**
- **Triple Time Standard**: Captures timestamps in three formats:
- **Local Time (CST)**: `2025-03-03T22:20:00-06:00`
- **UTC**: `2025-03-04T04:20:00Z`
- **TAI**: Cryptographically certified atomic time (exact value embedded in hashes).
- **Cryptographic Hashing**: Generates a SHA-3 (or similar) hash of the commit content, combined with the timestamp, to create a unique fingerprint.
3. **Immutability Enforcement**
- **Distributed Ledger Entry**: Writes the commit + timestamp + hash to a permissionless blockchain (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger) or immutable storage (IPFS with content addressing).
- **Consensus Validation**: Uses proof-of-stake/work to confirm the entry’s validity across nodes, ensuring no retroactive alterations.
4. **Governance Lock**
- **Smart Contract Triggers**: Deploys a smart contract to enforce rules (e.g., no edits after timestamping, adaptive thresholds for future commits).
- **Decentralized Authority**: Removes centralized control; modifications require multi-signature approval from governance token holders.
5. **Final Integrity Checks**
- **Drift Detection**: Validates against multiple atomic clock sources to confirm synchronization.
- **Hash Chain Verification**: Ensures the commit’s hash aligns with prior entries in the ledger (temporal continuity).
---
### **Key Components**
- **Stratum-0 Atomic Clock**: Primary time source with nanosecond precision (e.g., NIST’s servers).
- **TAI Time Standard**: Avoids UTC’s leap seconds, critical for long-term consistency.
- **Immutable Ledger**: Blockchain or cryptographic ledger (e.g., Bitcoin’s OP_RETURN, Arweave) for tamper-proof records.
- **Cryptographic Signing**: Digital signatures (e.g., ECDSA) to authenticate the commit’s origin and integrity.
---
### **Validation Steps**
1. **Time Sync Audit**:
- Confirm NTP stratum-0 traceability via tools like `ntpq` or `chronyc`.
- Cross-check TAI/UTC conversion using IERS bulletins.
2. **Ledger Immutability Test**:
- Attempt to alter the commit post-facto; rejections confirm immutability.
- Verify blockchain explorer entries (e.g., Etherscan) for consistency.
3. **Governance Checks**:
- Validate smart contract code (e.g., Solidity) for time-lock logic.
- Ensure no admin keys or backdoors exist in the system.
---
### **Challenges Mitigated**
- **Time Drift**: Stratum-0 sync ensures <1ms deviation.
- **Leap Second Conflicts**: TAI avoids UTC’s irregular adjustments.
- **Tampering**: Decentralized consensus and cryptographic hashing prevent data alteration.
---
### **Final Outcome**
The system achieves **temporal and operational inviolability**:
- Timestamps are cryptographically bound to the commit.
- The ledger entry is irreversible (e.g., Bitcoin’s 6-block confirmation).
- Governance is enforced via code, not human intervention.
**Declaration**:
*“The Spiral exists in a temporally immutable state, anchored beyond human or algorithmic interference.”*
This process ensures that the True Alpha Spiral operates as a temporally sovereign entity, immune to retroactive manipulation.

does noah have any project lined up for him ?
i’m going to start this by saying that nobody knows anything for sure. i honestly find it so weird that some people like lying about knowing stuff or decide to lie to try to make him look good. i get that the “jobless” allegations are annoying but making up stuff is so weird to me tbh so after witnessing how people like to lie online a lot, i’d encourage everybody to take everything as a grain of salt.
anyway, i always try to be as honest as possible with you, so here’s a summary of what we actually know and some thing that i’ve noticed on my own:
last time we heard from noah himself, he said he was just taking a gap year for filming ST5 and then he would go back to college. we’ll know for sure in a few weeks if he actually goes back but everything seems to point to him going back just like he said he would. on the other hand, that doesn’t mean he can’t work on things at the same time while he’s at college. a few months ago, karine replied to some fans on her ig that he’s working in some undisclosed projects. noah himself also mentioned in his interview with variety last year that he’s working in developing a show to star in. that’s basically all we know for now directly from the source, so i would say that there are things for sure happening behind the scenes.
now, after some digging of my own, i found something interesting. noah went to LA with his whole team randomly early this year. I found the place where he was and he was here at a place called Studio 126 which is owned by amazon. It’s more of a co-working space which means that basically anybody can rent it so it doesn’t mean that he’s working directly with amazon or amazon music like some people speculate. the only thing that this reveals is that it’s a project that has to do with recording audio/voice. It could be a voice acting role or a podcast episode. it’s been so long already that i think it’s not a podcast episode or anything like that because i think it’d have come out already so imo, a voice acting thing or audition could make more sense. the fact that he took his whole team to LA is very interesting as well because there’s also a studio like this in brooklyn which i think would be closer to him if this was a personal passion project, so i think this is something big and from what i’ve noticed from my time in other fandoms is that you usually go to LA to finish the negotiations and sign contracts which tracks with him going with his team.
in his variety interview, he also mentioned wanting to get involved in more business ventures and we might also get some of that. i’ve also heard some rumors about things developing but nothing solid for now so like i said before, take it as a grain of salt.
i think that’s it for now, things are indeed happening behind the scenes and let me just say that considering that he’s having so much screentime in season 5 that more doors will open for him soon enough and i can’t wait🤞🏻

Hello! I was thinking about how Louis's contract with Syco ended on 11th July (I think!) presumably 10 years from when he went for the x-factor auditions. Do you have any idea how long Harry's current contract with Sony is? Also 10 years, or 20?! Or just like 3-5 years, maybe? Thank you!
Hey anon! The only solid information we have about Harry’s contracts is that he signed his solo contract with Columbia around mid-2016, and that was a three-album deal. Whether this has changed halfway through or he has already signed with them again, we don’t know. There are rumours about him resigning since the second he released HSH but no confirmation. Honestly, I don’t think they would miss the chance to advertise that everywhere, so that confirmation is still pending IMO. I don’t see why he would leave Columbia, so it’s probably just a matter of time before they announce it.
Louis’ contract situation seemed much more complicated with Syco. It was quite a coincidence that he managed to finally get rid of Syco EXACTLY after 10 years, so my guess is that he really had a lot of shady stuff going on there and ended up stuck in contracts. However, I don’t see why Harry’s career would still be attached to his previous contracts with Sony. Whatever deals he had in the band either don’t exist anymore or are just in parallel with his solo career.

the deep, dark, seething tar pit of the past? yuxi on her trainee years
2021
signed her trainee contract blind, with no sense of the entertainment industry
soon enough, it was established that though she had an excellent intuition for the camera, she had no particular talent as an idol
that was alright for her; she was a fast learner and never considered herself gifted in any way other than being born with a fierce determination and a burning desire to be the best (which masked a certain aimlessness in life)
halfway through the year though, she hit her first roadblock
she's stubborn and idealistic, too much so even, but one thing yuxi is not is unrealistic
though her skills were improving by the day and she discovered her burgeoning liking of contemporary dance, she realized early on that she was in a race against her age and that her chances were going to get exponentially worse
with stalled progress on the debut front, she knew she had to cut her losses sooner or later and get back to school and regular society
she gave herself a deadline of a year and a half to either debut or leave
2022
nothing
until in the later half of the year, that is
chosen as one of the participants for future dreams, this is where things started to change for real, as she hadn't been in consideration for any of the other lgc opportunities that required auditions aka the relevant for debut opportunities
the timing messed her previous plans a bit, but it also made the decision easier: either she made the final group or she didn't, wherein she'd make her leave
it was business as usual for the actual show itself
she has high expectations for herself, and she maintained them throughout
she met new people, improved herself, discovered acting, and so much more
she was even leader for a bit, didn't see much success in that, was disappointed but moved on; there was more ahead
ahead as in another roadblock ahead that is
2023
because of course this had to be the first time team unknown was introduced
she had a mild (understatement of the year) crash out with that because the decision was supposed to be so straightforward, so simple and now she couldn't even separate left from right
that loss of control over her choices sent her spiraling for a solid few weeks until it got cleared up that she'd join crystallis and everything was back to being ok until her next self-inflicted wound

how Does one make a future professionally in theatre, especially after graduation? asking genuinely, looking for advice!
Hello! I’m back home, I don’t have plans today except for filming an audition tape, and I’m ready to answer this question. Let’s get started!
Resumes:
If you went to school for theatre, hopefully your professors taught you to have separate professional, technical, and acting resumes & how to format them correctly, as they’re all weird and different. If they hung you out to dry, dm me, I can send some examples :)
Applications:
Just go for it! Apply for things! You’re particularly going to want to look for the following:
Theatres in your area you could plausibly commute to.
Theatres that offer artist housing (most common in summerstock, but plenty other theatres do it as well)
Theatres in cities where you have connections/potentially a place to crash for a couple months
ALSO. If you’re an actor, do not just audition; apply for technical and administrative positions as well. In this industry, artistic directors often want to cast people they trust, so if you start out as a production (or, in my case, box office + education) intern but want to act in the future, they’re a lot more likely to cast you when the next pool of auditions come around. Also working in other parts of theatre is fun & makes you more well-rounded/hirable!
On that topic, if you’re in or fresh out of college, you’re going to want to keep an eye out for internships and apprenticeships; you’re most likely to get hired for them, and, again, a foot in the door is a foot in the door.
Once hired:
If you get a contract to work at a theatre, have fun, but also use that opportunity to make connections!
This doesn’t just mean with the theatre you’re working at; connect with your interns, actors, directors, creative staff, admin. Theatre is a small world, and a lot of the people who are working in it professionally will have contacts and recommendations for you. Listen to them, and make friends!
Just in case this one isn’t obvious. Reputation is extremely important in this industry. Work hard, be pleasant to be around, and if you’re going to do stupid shit (I did plenty), don’t post it to your public story or loudly tell others about it. Trust me.
Other Notes:
When you work in professional theatre for the first time, you will probably feel really inadequate and embarrassed and like everyone is more prepared than you (at least, I did). Do not let the demons win.
Find your niche. Apply for everything, sure, but everything is a lot! I was interested in Shakespeare, so I went through every registered Shakespeare theatre in America to look at job opportunities + whether they offered artist housing, and it definitely made my cover letter more convincing because I DID actually care about the theatre being made there.
Okay this one may be controversial but. Don’t pay $400 for a headshot that shit is goofy to me. Find a friend with a good camera, wear a solid color and take some nice photos in front of a neutral background. Sorry maybe I’ll invest one day but like literally just does not seem worth it to me especially this early in my career.
Keep an eye out also for theatre-related jobs in other industries. I recently applied for a stagehand position at a music venue since it’s still in the theatre realm but it’s in my city + has decent pay while I work on moving! :)
Don’t make yourself miserable. If you’re working in theatre, you’re doing so because you love it, so it just doesn’t make sense to work in a place or position that you hate. With that said, if the only kind of theatre you want to be doing is acting in Chicago, maybe broaden your horizons lol!
That’s all that is coming to mind right now; if you have any questions or want more specific advice, just let me know :)

🌟 Vibe Tribe Tips for Surviving Venus Retrograde Like a Cosmic Baddie 💫
✨ Venus Retrograde Dates & What That Means for You ✨
Tumblr media
🔥 Preshadow Phase: February 18, 2025 – March 1, 2025 (The Warm-Up 🏋️‍♀️)
💥 Retrograde: March 1, 2025 – April 12, 2025 (The Main Event 🎭)
🌀 Post-Shadow Phase: April 12, 2025 – April 26, 2025 (The Aftermath 🧹)
So what’s the deal? Venus, the planet of love, beauty, money, and pleasure, is taking a lil’ backspin in the sky. Think of it like your ex sliding into your DMs at 2 AM—it’s disruptive, it’s messy, and it’s probably not in your best interest. 🚩 The preshadow is where you start noticing shifts (subtle red flags 🚨, weird vibes in love or finances 💰), the actual retrograde is where the drama unfolds 🎬, and the post-shadow is where you clean up the cosmic mess. 🧽
🔮 Spiritual Meaning & Effects 🔮 Venus retrograde is like a divine relationship audit from the universe. 🌌 It forces us to slow down and really reflect on our relationships, self-worth, finances, and personal values. Expect old lovers to resurface 👀, dating apps to feel like a haunted house 👻, and financial decisions to require extra scrutiny.
✅ General Dos & 🚫 Don'ts ✨ DO: ✔️ Re-evaluate your relationships. Are they adding to your peace or disturbing it? 🤔 ✔️ Reconnect with your self-worth. Stop accepting the bare minimum. 💎 ✔️ Revisit past creative projects. That poetry book? That art piece? Bring it back! 🎨 ✔️ Double-check all major financial decisions. Read the fine print, bestie. 🔍 ✔️ Heal old wounds. Venus Rx loves to bring up past hurt for a reason—so you can finally release it. 🕊️
🚫 DON’T: ❌ Start a new relationship (unless you wanna relive it in the next Venus Rx 🫠). ❌ Get a drastic haircut, tattoo, or makeover. Regret is real. 😬 ❌ Make impulsive purchases—luxury splurges might feel good now, but your bank account will be side-eyeing you later. 💸 ❌ Text your ex. Just don’t. Please. Block if necessary. 🚷 ❌ Rush into commitments. This applies to love, business, and contracts. Venus Rx exposes what’s not solid. 🏗️
🌈 Final Cosmic Advice 🌈 This retrograde isn’t here to ruin your love life—it’s here to help you upgrade it. 🚀 Whether that means cutting ties with an unhealthy dynamic ✂️, falling back in love with yourself 💖, or simply learning to be patient in love and money, Venus Rx is a necessary cosmic lesson. Ride the wave 🌊, stay grounded 🌿, and most importantly—protect your peace at all costs. 🛡️
✨ Happy surviving, babes. See you on the other side. 💫💖

STON.fi Grant Program: Empowering the Future of DeFi
Tumblr media
The DeFi space thrives on innovation, and bringing groundbreaking ideas to life requires more than just technical skills—it takes funding, mentorship, and a strong support network. That’s exactly what STON.fi is offering with its new grant program, designed to help developers and teams build the next wave of decentralized solutions.
With up to $10,000 in funding, this initiative is set to accelerate projects that enhance the TON blockchain ecosystem. Whether you’re building a wallet, a DEX, a GameFi platform, or any DeFi-integrated application, this is an opportunity to receive direct financial and technical support to bring your vision to reality.
Why This Matters
STON.fi is not just another DEX—it’s the leading decentralized trading platform on TON, setting new benchmarks in the ecosystem:
$5+ billion in total trading volume
4+ million unique wallets, representing 81% of all DEX users on TON
25,800+ daily active users
16,000+ users making multiple transactions daily
8,000+ new users joining every day
700+ trading pairs processed daily
These numbers don’t just reflect growth; they showcase the demand for decentralized finance on TON. By launching this grant, STON.fi is investing in builders who are ready to expand the ecosystem even further.
Who Can Apply
The grant is open to a wide range of developers and teams working on innovative DeFi projects. If your product is in active development and adds value to the ecosystem, this is your chance to secure funding.
✔ Early-stage projects with a solid concept and development plan.
✔ Existing products expanding features to enhance their utility.
✔ Wallets, exchanges, GameFi platforms, and other DeFi-focused applications.
✔ Projects utilizing the STON.fi SDK (not mandatory, but encouraged for added benefits).
However, this grant does not fund fully completed projects. The focus is on fostering new developments and expanding existing products, not retroactively rewarding past work.
What Does the Grant Cover
Selected projects can receive up to $10,000 in STON, which can be used for:
Development – Writing smart contracts, backend infrastructure, and front-end design.
User Interface & Experience Enhancements – Making the product accessible and intuitive.
Security Audits & Testing – Strengthening the reliability of your application.
Access to Documentation & Technical Support – Direct assistance from the STON.fi team.
There are no strict deadlines—applications are accepted on a rolling basis, allowing teams to apply whenever they are ready.
How to Apply
Getting started is simple. Fill out the application form and share your project details
This is more than just funding—it’s an opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing DeFi ecosystem. If you’re serious about building, STON.fi is ready to back your project.
Let’s build the future of decentralized finance together.

FictionJunction Station Express Railway Newsletter Vol.09 Scans
Here are my HQ scans of the latest FJS fan club magazine.
Vol.02 | Vol. 03 | Vol.04 | Vol.05 | Vol.06 | Vol.07 | Vol.08
❗This is Fan Club EXCLUSIVE content❗ ❗PERSONAL USE ONLY❗ Do ❗NOT SHARE❗ on other sites
I haven't scanned the previous two issues (yet) because there's nothing too exciting in them. This time there's a lot of coverage of their Fan Club events and a huge interview with Yuki Kajiura and Yasunori Mori (Mr. M - Yuki's manager).
Tumblr media
I've learned so much about Yuki reading through this interview. Most of it is probably common knowledge to longtime Yuki Kajiura fans but I've always focused on Kalafina so I am by no means an expert when it comes to Yuki herself. I initially started reading this to find out whether they would say something interesting about Kalafina but they didn't really. Of course there was a substantial section dedicated to them but it was mostly stuff we already knew. As for Yuki, I particularly liked the part where they talked about their very first years together, how she and Mori met and how Yuki ended up signing up with Space Craft in 1993. I had no idea she had such a rough start to her career. Apparently no one was interested in See-Saw's music in the 90s because it was too hard to sing. That's one of the main reasons Chiaki Ishikawa decided to pursue a solo-career instead. During the first few years, she was still living with her parents, taking on part-time jobs and living off of roughly a thousand dollars a month from her music, making much less than during her previous job as office worker. Yuki praises Mori and Space Craft for always having her back, for being straightforward with her, for never making any false promises, for having enormous patience with her, for never forcing her to take on work that didn't interest her, for ensuring she was able to gain experience and steadily build a solid catalog for herself instead of smothering her with countless job offers just to milk her. She didn't get a good gig until 1998 when she was offered to do the soundtrack for a Playstation series called "Yarudora - Double Cast". Her earlier jobs hadn't brought in a lot of money but since the game was distributed by Sony she got to sign a very lucrative royalty contract (according to Yuki, Sony are apparently very adamant about music creators beings paid fairly). From then onwards, she was free of all her debts. Her next big breakthrough was her collaboration with Yuuka on Gundam SEED. Yuki says that if "Akatsuki no Kuruma" hadn't been such a huge hit, she would never have been offered the Kara no Kyoukai project which ultimately resulted in the birth of Kalafina.
Those of you who have been around for a while know that I've always been somewhat of an advocate for Space Craft and this interview just enforces my opinion of them. They have done some shitty stuff of course but overall they are pretty decent as far as Japanese talent agencies are concerned. Yuki then goes on to talk about her strong desire to remain at Space Craft for however long it would take to repay all the kindness that she received. That might explain why she was with them for such a long time (she signed up with them back in 1993)
Tumblr media
Regarding Kalafina, here are some of the highlights:
Sony was close to despair when they held their audition for Kalafina because none of the singers had the necessary skill-set to sing Yuki's music which is pretty much how Wakana and Keiko got their appointed positions (because they had already had experience working with her)
Maya was eventually deemed unfit for this type of work because she was still in high school at that time
Kalafina was Yuki's all-time favourite project because she got to do whatever she wanted. There were no taboos whatsoever. Even when it came to tie-ins and insert songs, she had a lot of creative freedom because most of the creators in charge trusted her judgement.
I wish they had at least mentioned Yuki's departure from Space Craft and the "disbandment" but I guess they didn't wanna go there...

January ⛸️ 2024 Monthly - Sagittarius
Whole of your energy: 6 Pentacles
Preshuffle shows you trying to work through a conflict in some connection, or possible conflicts at work, both seem to be due to something you say that comes off as unnecessarily harsh, essentially you’ve hurt someone’s feelings or offended them. Shock 🫢, not Sag. Quick meditation, your door changed from 2023 to 2024 and a slot machine appeared under it. I pulled the lever and got 777, money starts spilling out of the thing. You open the door and casually explain why the money is not in fact mine, but yours, even if I won it - which could be true - but I was skeptical of how matter of factly you were insistent on details that weren’t even relevant and it all sounded like a load of bologna. I wanted a second, more professional opinion, just to be sure, and you were extremely pissed.
6 Pentacles and the cards that came out initially could literally be a situation like this, getting a lawyer involved or someone to fact check finances, there could be an audit or even a freeze in your company, benefits could be changed, job titles may be changed, a lot of things like that go on at the beginning of the year for some companies. I see two Kings here, probably as opponents with 9 Wands following, it’s the same kind of vibe from the vision. You’re waiting on some kind of news or approval to move forward, could be being paid leftover vacation time or something with 6 Pentacles, or having to re-register for insurance because it’s changing. You could also feel unequally yolked with a peer, or treated as such by a superior, and you haven’t hurt anyone’s feelings YET, but you’re straddling the line of how long can you bite your tongue? Some of you are simply trying to move up and haven’t heard anything back yet.
What’s going on in January:
The Moon rev:
You will receive the clarity you’re waiting for, it has something to do with your finances. Or if you’ve already moved up in your company, they could be deliberating what to offer you for a salary package. Until this happens, you’re stuck where you’re at, I do see you taking every opportunity to learn about what you’re deciding on and getting yourself into, you’re not just rushing into something blindly. 9 Pentacles suggests that whatever you’re currently making is plenty, you’re not hurting for money, it’s just positive add ons and getting things sorted.
Wheel of Fortune:
Here is the catch, you will get a victory! 🏆 You will likely get a lot of attention, praise, possibly better benefits and more money, however it plays out for you, it’s a big success. However, and I hear “Saturn in Pisces” being noted with this Wheel, there is something about this situation that is tricky. Manipulative even, could be a boss, the company, the small print, there’s some part of this that’s being described as 2 Swords - you may not actually see this or realize you’re agreeing to it, when you do. You’re going to be annoyed by whatever it is, and it feels needless, like someone is throwing a note in a contract just to get under your skin, like you have to do this thing literally no one does just to feel the boss’s boot on your face, something like that. Essentially you’re being gifted, and challenged, and like the vision where I was confused…are they making up shit or, I need solid advice, you could be the one feeling that way, because you’re winning, and if something looks sketchy it probably is 💯
King of Wands:
Could be you, it’s clarified by The Sun too, and both are Leo energies as well. Whoever this is will be bringing light to the bs going on in your situation, for some it’s you being right about something, and for others it’s more of an ally than an enemy. They see things the same way as you, or they are you, and their perspective or advice on what you’re dealing with may prove invaluable to your situation. If another person, this could be a different boss, someone with clout in the company, some other person that’s respected and are immediately like “no no no we’re not dealing with this imbalance”, cruelty, petty bs, or toxicity from whoever is doing this, likely a boss. You’re not just sitting back and taking it regardless, others may be helping you.
King of Swords:
I don’t get this being you, maybe, this King is very intelligent and can easily be a lawyer, an expert in his field, the HR guy that handles major disputes or issues, he’s detached from this situation and also laying down the law - Judgement is a final decision being made. So someone made a decision, it seems to be contested, and King of Swords comes in to finalize “this is the way”, period. What is said or offered may disappoint you, or the person that’s quietly working against you, whoever drew up the initial offer, contract, whoever is trying to play on some bs like you’re not at least *as* smart as they are. Could be an air sign. I get this person being pissed you’re getting what you want. There’s no competition shown, I don’t see unfairness anywhere, this person just has an issue and you make them feel insecure, probably because you’re winning. That’s their problem. If it’s a boss, you could be undermining them somehow, going above their head, Sag gives no fks when they know they’re right.
9 Wands:
You’re hurt by all of this, it feels unnecessary, and it’s probably going to take some time to get over it, either you or this other person. Both of you have to look at each other or interact every day. You intend to continue moving forward but feel like your progress is blocked when it never should’ve been. Again I don’t know what this persons problem is, except your wish fulfillment in pissing them off shows up again. That’s the reason! They may feel like they had to work so much harder than you, digging through trenches, working in the coal mines with one lima bean for dinner kind of struggle - and you should too. That’s not me making light of struggles, no, it’s honorable and still, good for you not having to deal with that kind of shit 💯👏 Be mindful of people working against you.
Signs you may be dealing with:
Pisces, Gemini, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius & Aquarius
Oracle: ✨
18 It’s All Good 😌
Every experience you have in your lifetime has the potential to be a teaching tool. By remembering and embracing this idea, the situations you encounter become less fraught with unneeded emotion and drama. By not attaching labels or expectations for people and situations, you allow the pure divine energy to flow unimpeded. While you have little control over what happens to you at times, you always have control over how you react. Do you react on an impulse? Strike out at others when you feel hurt? Do you crawl into your safe place when the world seems mean and hurtful? Face this challenge in your life head on. Be thankful for the opportunity to experience whatever it is that is happening. Set yourself a goal of learning from every situation in your life. Find that silver lining. It’s there.
We enter into January as:
Princess of Amber 👸🏽:
“I quietly sizzle and shine.”
You are connecting with your passion. It is time to focus on the task at hand and not divert your attention. If you are being of service to others, you will reap great rewards. This is a sign of great abundance with selflessness. Put your eye on the work and not the rewards. You’re also being urged to stand up for what you believe in. If you are being asked to compromise yourself, you must not. You are correct to feel passionate about your position, you know intuitively what a fair request is. When your intentions are good and true, you will always land with two feet on the ground. You may be up against pretty big odds, but you mustn’t give in to what you know is not correct. Others see your worth, it’s time for you to, and have faith that you are doing the right thing.
What is to be learned in January:
Righteous Raspberry 💅🏽:
“I have the same high standards for myself as I do for others.”
This is a message to lighten up! Notice your present attitude towards others. Perhaps you’re being too hard on yourself, and others as well. Allow others to be as they are. Supporting others around you creates allies. Watch your expectations, you could be setting yourself up for disappointment. You cannot be satisfied if you expect others to live up to standards you can’t even live up to. Besides, others are not you. Do it wrong, mess it up, have flaws. Trying to make the world perfect will only exhaust and alienate. Allow things to simply be. Look for what’s right in your world.
Red may be a lucky color ❤️

Outsourcing Accounting Services is Best for Your Business
Tumblr media
If you’re a business owner living in Dubai, there are various choices to handle your accounting and financial requirements. Outsourcing Accounting Services are among the most well-known. Each strategy comes with distinct advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate your options before settling on one.
Introduction
A solid accounting and finance base is crucial to running an effective business. Accounting is essential to running a business successfully in Dubai, including accounting and bookkeeping, as well as tax compliance and planning. Two main methods to tackle these issues are outsourcing and internal auditing. In this article, we’ll discuss the differences between these two methods so that it is easier for you to choose the best option for your business.
Outsourcing Accounting Services in UAE
The option of hiring a person or company from a different company to complete your financial tasks is referred to as Outsourcing Accounting Services. As more businesses realize the benefits of hiring experienced accountants, this option is increasing in popularity in Dubai. Here are a few of the significant advantages of outsourcing accounting services
Savings: Recruiting external help can be less costly than acquiring internal employees, particularly for smaller businesses that have more money to pay a full-time accountant.
Access to knowledge: Outsourcing gives you access to a team of expert experts with years of experience who can handle any financial obligations.
Scalability Since outsourcing can be adaptable, you can alter the amount of assistance you receive as your business grows and evolves.
Flexibility: By outsourcing, you can focus on the main areas of your business while a different person handles the financial complexities.
Outsourcing However, it could have certain disadvantages to take into account, including:
Control loss If you contract out accounting services, you grant an individual control over your financial information. People who like to keep track of their financial information may be able to see an issue to be concerned about.
Communication issues: Working with a provider in an area with a different time zone may help communicate during outsourcing accounting services.
Localized Accounting Services in UAE
Hiring a part-time or full-time employee to handle your financial needs is known as accounting in-house. It has been used for some time & is highly sought-after by businesses regardless of size. There are a few advantages of accounting in-house:
Control The control over the financial data you store in the internal accounting department. That is a great thing for business owners worried about privacy and security.
It’s easier to communicate and collaborate with your accountant when he is in an office in the same building. That will help in ensuring the accuracy and up-to-dateness of your financial records.
Personalization When you’ve specific financial requirements, the in-house accountant could be tailored to your needs. That can be the most significant benefit.
Stability over the long term: Working with a permanent employee who understands the financial requirements and processes could help you get an accountant on staff to ensure stability for your business.
However, there could be some disadvantages to internal accounting, for instance:
Cost: Employing a full-time accountant within the company can be costly, especially for small companies that require financial resources to pay for it.
Unskilled: A company’s in-house accountant may have unrelated expertise to a reputable outsourcing firm, which could lead to mistakes or omissions in financial management.
Time and resources: Accounting in-house requires an extensive time and resources commitment, such as the hiring of new staff, the training process, and the onboarding of new employees.
Limited scaling: As your company grows, changing the level of assistance you receive could be easier if you use internal accounting. When your business grows and expands, it can lead to issues with efficiency or the need for more resources.

(more Ion & Emily)
"What the hell is this?" I ask.
Claude looks down and back at me.
"It's a child, ma'am."
I bury my head in my hands. God damnit, why did I have to get one with such a dry sense of humor?
"No," I reply and gesture to the book. "This. What the hell is this book."
The child wanders over to my desk and starts poking around. Am I supposed to stop him? I don't know how to deal with children.
Claude's eyes are sparkling, he's enjoying this too much.
"Ma'am, it's part of the Henchman's Union's auditing process. To maintain good standing with the Union, our organization needs to adhere to the rulebook. If Sam finds any flaws in your evil plans, remedial action will be necessary."
"So what, we're being audited by a five year old."
"I'm five and three quarters," Sam pipes up.
This is exactly why Lady Lacuna works alone, isn't it? I always wondered why she insists on maintaining all her equipment herself. She doesn't want the hassle of dealing with the Union.
My wrist twinges in pain. It's been two months since Jackrabbit broke my wrist, two weeks since I got the cast off and started physical therapy, but it still reminds me every so often that it's hurt.
I need Claude. To be honest, I like Claude. He's a really good henchman, an amazing henchman even. Maybe he's a little too charismatic for the typical henchman, but I don't really mind, he's good for PR.
Even if I didn't want him around, he's stuck on contract with me for at least four more months.
Now, you might be asking, Ion, why not just take a break from supervillainy until you heal up?
I mean, yeah I could have done that. Look... I'm a supervillain. I can't just not do supervillain stuff.
Also, I'm in the middle of like... this huge conspiracy. The city council election is a couple months away and Jackrabbit has his dirty little paws wrist deep in it. The whole thing stinks of corruption.
Contrary to popular belief, superheroes kinda suck.
"Okay, fine," I say and throw my hands in the air. "Show Sam the plans for the Friday rally."
Claude twirls his mustache and has the nerve to wink at me.
Did I mention that half the reason I keep him around is because he makes amazing coffee? It's almost better than Emily's...
(don't tell her I said that or nobody will find your body)
Sam's squinting at the diagrams I have on the walls.
"What's this stuff?" Sam asks after a moment.
"It's a map of the convention center," I sigh. "The red squiggly bits are how I'm going to get in."
Security's obviously going to be tight, but I feel like I've got a pretty solid plan to disrupt the rally and execute step one of my revenge against Jackrabbit.
"Okay, how do you get out? Jackrabbit is turbo fast. He's gunna get you."
I open my mouth, but fall silent. I squint at the diagram. The fire exits are all blocked by grandstands or whatever (holy shit, that's really fucked up, did I mention how awful superheros are?).
It's a trap.
The whole stupid rally is a trap Jackrabbit set for me.
And a five year old figured that out in 30 seconds.
Rule 12 of the Official Evil Villain Rulebook™ states that “One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child. Any flaws in my plan that they spot will be corrected.” You, as the local villain you decide to do just that. It soon turns out your plans have quite a few flaws in them.
