✨ HTML for pretty colors tutorial ✨

Hello silly hamsters in my phone 🫶 I'm lowkey shocked to see blogs gatekeeping this knowledge but yeah. Make your blog pretty! Match your text to dividers or just have it as colorful as you'd like!

First of all, you can not do this on the mobile app! You need to either use a laptop or your phone / tablet's internet browser (in my case safari)

You start by logging into your account and either you make a post or you edit a post. I recommend making the post on the app first because editing is certainly faster & easier!

This is our starting point! For the fancy fonts you can use messletters

I will now log into tumblr on my web browser and click on edit this post.

You then have to click on the little gear icon in the top right corner to change the settings on your post.

There you have to click on "rich text" to change it to "HTML"

Your post should now look like this:

A quick rundown on html.

You always start with a letter or code in brackets. to end what you're doing it's </>. The slash signals the end.

P= paragraph <p> and to end </p>

I= italics <i> and to end </i>

b= bold <b> and to end </b>

Now tumblr will automatically do this for you if you made a text bold/in italics on your mobile post but to keep this tutorial simple i left that out here. You can always edit your text in the app after! Just not the color.

And as you see, the fancy text is now in coding. But we get to that later!

To colorize your text it's easiest to just use this website as it gives you lots of options!

First i will be choosing the option of "solid color" and you can then put in the hex code of your desired color into the color box.

In the top box you will have to put the text you will color - for this tutorial it's "Testing"

Then you copy the box HTML code and paste it into tumblr where your word(s) are. Do not remove the in front and after your word/sentence !

For the sake of this tutorial marked the html code for colors in pink and the words in blue

Your code will now look like this!

For the gradient you can simply choose horizontal gradient or three colored gradient on the website above and copy/paste the html text.

Mind you that every single letter will get its own color code now so the word gradient suddenly looks very long in html.

If you save the post it will now look like this!

Important to know is that you can color the fancy text only solid as the website can not color it as it is and putting the letter codes in the box above does not work either.

To color the fancy letters you simply copy the color code instead of the whole text - which looks like this:

Don't forget to add </span> behind the word/the codes you're coloring to signal that this is where the color stops! If you forget to add it, nothing will be colored.

If you decide you still want to have the fancy lettering in multiple colors you have to color letter code by letter code manually like this:

If you'd like to change your text, you can always do that on the mobile app like you usually would. You just can't change the color unless it's into a default color. But you can still change the size or make it bold for example.

Anyhoot, this is the whole magic behind html. It's a lot and might be very complicated at first but you will eventually get the hang of it! Took me weeks and hours until someone sat me down and went through it step by step. well… i didn’t expect this release today but i’m taking it and i’m happy that we have them back with us! and released on the 13th too. what a good number! 🫶🏼

It starts with WYB talking to someone, and it’s obviously XZ.

ok ok ok. incoming tw for sui ide mentions and correlating depression mentions, but i feel like this needs to be said

those posts that say "this is your sign to stay alive !!! you are loved !!!" are all good and well meaning, but as a fellow sufferer of the Big Sad, at least for me, these are quite unhelpful. they dont know you. they dont interact with you. its like filming buying a homeless person a $1 mcdonalds coffee.

so im gonna share some tips and general thoughts that have helped me.

when you want to hurt yourself:

-get a rubber band/hair tie, wear it around your wrist, and snap it. my psychiatrist actually recommended i do this. it stings a bit, but ultimately, it's better than taking a knife to your arm.

-draw with a red marker on the body area you want to hurt. stitches are my go-to, but it can be literally anything. try not to use the super thin tipped markers if you can help it because you could start digging them into your skin, and thats counterproductive.

if anyone else has tips for this specific section, feel free to chime in.

when you're having serious thoughts about killing yourself:

-write. journal, story, ramble. just write. write your thoughts and feelings in a notebook. project your feelings onto a fictional character (try not to get too attached to the character you're killing). depending on what you write, it can also be distracting and help get your mind off the Thoughts (comedy, romance, the like).

-text/call/talk to someone. doesn't have to be a professional at first. doesn't have to be about suicide either. text a friend, try to talk about other topics (jokes, fandoms, music, literally anything). if they notice something's off/if you want to tell them outright, TELL. THEM. more likely than not, they want to help you help yourself and will tell an adult, or even call a hotline, for you.

-tell your parents. im sure i'll get backlash for this, but no matter the situation, most parents genuinely do not want their child dead. they will help you. if they dont, burn them to the ground go back to the previous point, and try talking to a friend instead.

-keep the lights on. being such a raccoon myself, i enjoy sitting in the dark. it can be comfortable. but it can also be dangerous. i dont know if there's some science behind it, but for me, turning on my bedroom lights and/or opening the window blind has at least distracted me from the more serious Thoughts.

these are all the coping mechanisms i can think of off the top of my head. i might edit this later if i think of more. this is a heavier topic than what i usually talk about, but what with recent personal events and other things, i generally wanted to get this off my chest.

additions to the lists are appreciated, but i judt wanted to try and help other people yk

hii!! sorry for taking too long to answer, i wanted to do this post as informative as possible!!

massive tw: harmful behavior, s*x work, mentions of self-h*rm.

i will talk about the differences, the stereotypes and the reason behind them, having the "jirai kei" as a main subject. if you want to know more about the girlykei style you can ask me anything!! like brand recommendations, tips on buying from japan, makeup, girlykei must haves, etc.

please keep in mind that:

• jirai kei (lifestyle) and dark girly kei (style that jirai girls use) are two separated things and you can be jirai without using the style and you can use girlykei without identifying as jirai.

• the western vision of jirai is totally wrong. jirai kei in Japan isn't a style at all; jirai kei is a lifestyle that is seen as "unhealthy".

jirai kei came from “地雷系”. translates to “landmine-type”, not the literal meaning as “landmine”, is a japanese slang for "trigger" "red flag" “地雷を踏んだ”, meaning “i stepped on a landmine”. in reference to a person, a “landmine” is someone that’s so easily triggered over minor things that they keep exploding on others with abusive behavior, so you need to be as careful as if you were walking around a minefield.

this meaning has been around for about a decade, primarily used in dating advice articles about how to recognise “red flags” in a partner.

"but it isn't a style?"

in those dating stereotypes, even the most arbitrary traits were considered red flags and wearing dark alternative fashion is already enough to have someone considered a potential landmine, the style in question is called dark girly kei. (style used by many jirai kei girls)

around 2020, jirai kei didn’t have any associations with any particular fashions or interests, but when a popular japanese makeup vlogger started a “psycho girlfriend” dress-up challenge and called the final look a landmine-type cosplay. she contributed to the stereotype that the landmine-types were often fans of dark girly fashion, every influencer was getting in on the trend, and cosplaying as a landmine-type psycho girlfriend, generally also tagging with “yandere”, then a lot of influencers did the challenge and lots of girlykei brands started to use the "jirai kei" terminology to sell more.

"why would someone call themselves jirai knowing that it means "psycho woman" in other words?? wouldn't it be romanticizing?"

there's a lot of people who call themselves jirai kei knowing about the difference of jirai & girlykei because of their mental conditions, i myself use jirai kei to not feel bad about my mental state and to connect to other people who struggle the same as me, in my opinion even if they stopped calling themselves jirai they wouldn't stop their unhealthy behavior, they're not mentally ill because of jirai, they're jirai because of their mental illness. the spaces for real mentally fucked people in the internet are few, these people that are called "psycho bitches" exist and they shouldn't feel bad about being like this, they are the people who most struggle with all of it and it's their business if they want to call themselves it. telling people to not use the jirai kei term will not stop them to engage on harmful behavior, at the end those people are still mentally ill and have more problems than the terminology they use. might be thinking the "jirai antis" are some sort of saviors or something like that, if you really want to help those people don't blame it in the community and style they've found themselves.

all jirais don't have the same behavior even if all of them have a fucked mental state, some of them might be posting self-harm for validation, some are obsessed with their s/o, some doing sex work for attention, some of us has violent thoughts and bpd, some of us are just neurodivergent, or have depression, etc, is a form of venting/expression, and venting ≠ encouraging someone.

some info:

• the term hadn't changed its meaning, japan doesn't reclaim words.

• the association of girly kei with harmful behavior is maybe related to "toyoko kaiwai" (トー横キッズ) who's around Kabukicho, many of the members have been wearing various dark j-fashion styles before the "psycho girlfriend dress-up challenge" became a trend. they're credited as the reason for why those styles are associated with the landmine stereotype to begin with. they're been connected to under*ge pr*stitution, dr*g ab*se, public self-h*rm, murd*r and theft.

they are around age 9-24, (firstly known as toyoko kids, but like, there's a lot of adults in this) they're often privileged children who were convinced to get away from home by bad influences. and many members have died or been hospitalized as a result. for more info search the Japanese spelling on any japanese news site, or their signature hashtag on social media (#/toho横界隈).

the association of jirai with this gang is their former leader “Howl”, who died by suicide while waiting in custody for a trial, convinced minors to run away from home in order to “work” for him and dress in a way he finds attractive (dark girlykei).

all these minors he "convinced" are victims, you can use the style without agreeing with this behavior and be jirai without agreeing with this, they're all manipulated children and it isn't their fault.

Have u seen this korean drama named the 'Glory' ? *SPOILER ALERT*!!(it's a story about bullies and revenge too but since it in asian the bullying is bit more brutal tbh😬 ,although the revenge is well deserved 😏)

Would u personally say that the way we get our revenge in the story would be similar to the Kdrama or would it be more brutal/cruel in comparison?

The inspiration for High School Revenge comes from personal experience. I actually never watched Heathers, or any revenge type movies (besides the Count of Monte Cristo), and I only started doing research in the genre after starting working on the story. I always had a very creative mind, and I remember I lived a very embarrassing moment in middle school, which resulted in me plotting my revenge on the people involved for years. Obviously, I ended up doing nothing about it and moved on with my life, but I had a lot of ideas on how to get my revenge haha. When coming up with an idea for a COG book, I thought that I wanted to write something that would appeal to many people. And I thought that I can't be the only one that had fantasies about getting revenge on someone that wronged me when I was younger. So, I just let my imagination run its course and came up with the premise for the story. None of the characters I've created have anything to do with real people or real revenge plans I had though haha, it's all pure fiction.

I've watched Glory, yeah, it made me think a lot about how our MCs origin story might be a bit light compared to what happened there, so I tried to make the whole tragedy more... tragic once I came back with chapter 3. Most bullies are also quite irredeemable in Glory, which is not something I want for HSR, but it was fun to just root for the hardcore revenge.

I don't think the revenge you will be able to get on the characters in this story would be described as brutal. There won't be any hardcore torture scenes or anything (maybe psychological torture). My goal is to make the revenge satisfying. There will be more types of things you could do to get revenge, some will be funny, some will destroy the lives of the targets, and some will just be unnecessarily cruel. If players choose the really cruel revenge options, I'll make sure to make them feel bad for going down that route though haha. *Spoiler* A character can die thanks to our actions, but I would not recommend going down that route.

It was so mortifyingly embarrassing.

You pondered the concept of a bad day snowballing into a worse one, and how you always got unlucky on the same day. It was like a series of unfortunate events, the world evening out your good mood; you had so been looking forward to tonight and it had been completely ruined.

School had carried on longer than you thought which left you with a headache and no time to get properly ready for your date with Allen. You’d been given another stupidly large paper to write that wouldn’t benefit your future it anyway and would just be a fight to hit a word count, but you hoped to knock it out a few nights before it was due. On the way to the date it had begun to pour, and despite the waterproof mascara you’d been recommended by Anne, you still looked a frazzled mess when you reached the restaurant.

You had been seated after telling the server you were waiting on someone, sitting yourself comfortably at a table in the middle of the room. You felt the glances around you at your appearance, at your solitude, but it didn’t really bother you much. You were just looking forward to seeing Allen. Once he was there it’d be like no one else is in the room anyway.

You’re given a glass of water, then another, and the server looked quite awkward as he asked if you’d like to order now. You had been there nearly an hour, Allen’s phone going straight to voicemail each time you called it. With shaking hands you apologized to the server and let him know you’d actually be leaving now, leaving a tip for his time and exiting the building with a numbness in your heart.

‘Anne, is Allen home?’

‘Eh? Yeah, last time I checked. Just left for work so not sure if he’s still there but you have your key, right?’

‘Yeah, thank you.’

You approached the apartment with rage in your heart but that left as you knocked on the door, ear against the door before you used your key. You could hear some light music drifting out into the hall that grew louder once you were in the apartment, glancing over to Hajun’s room to see that door was shut tight and a warning note to not enter unless you’d like to wake up with no internal organs pinned to it. You would have laughed if you weren’t in the mood you were in.

You knocked on Allen’s door but decided you were done with politeness, soaked to the core, heart aching in your chest. It was pounding now the closer you go to confrontation, wondering what level of fight this might turn into. He was never one to fight but you had never felt quite this angry before.

“Ah, I’m sorry! I completely forget!” All he had to do was see you and he knew, bowing his head down as low as it could go while he was still standing.

You knew Allen was sincere, that he’d never purposely hurt your feelings by forgetting about something that you hadn’t stopped thinking about, but it’s too much for you. You tried to keep a stiff upper lip but the moment he had apologized yet again you knew it was game over. The tears began to streak down your cheeks while your boyfriend just watched like a deer in the headlights, the reaction not one he was used to seeing from you at all.

“Baby…”

“Don’t talk to me like that. You don’t get to call me that unless you show up for this relationship, Allen! I understand your forgetfulness, and your passion for music, and I never expected you to be perfect! But one date. I wanted one date night, where we just got to be together, and you could even talk about music there. But was it just me being involved in that whole process you weren’t interested in? Is the concept of spending time with me so miserable you’d rather stay locked up in your room away from me?”

“N-no, that’s not it. I really am sorry.”

“That’s nice and all, but do you really think that’s enough? Do you think I’m going to just keep ignoring the fact you put music above me and leave me looking like an idiot in the middle of a restaurant? What about my feelings? Do you even care?”

“I care so much! I care more than I could ever really tell you…” He’s tempted to bring up a song he’d written for you a short while ago that had gotten the point across, but he used the one ounce of common sense he had to not bring up music during a serious fight. “I’m sorry—I know, I shouldn’t keep saying that… I’ll make this up to you. I can make this up to you! Please, just… Give me another chance.”

Allen had approached you, arms sliding around you and pulling you into his chest. He didn’t seem to care that you were just leaning into him, not returning his hug but still trying to get some comfort. It was hard not to hold him back, not when he was stroking your hair and soothing you in a way only he could. You’d given in after a few minutes, hands sliding up his back as you cried into his chest and he continued to hold you.

“Are you going to stay tonight? I can make us dinner.”

As someone who loves angst and pain, I listened to the poetry in Beyonces ‘Lemonade’ (the poetry written by award an Shire) and ofc thought about fmo reader bc it’s one of my favorite series going on right now.

All of the poems here really recommend checking them out. Could be really great inspiration for more of fmo reader and how her religion could tie into themes of shame, self-blame, misogyny, sex, loyalty, cycles of abuse/silence/peace keeping, etc that was touched on by Shire in their works. Also lmk if I’m simply doing too much 🫶🏾 bc sometimes my own mind just wanders and I could just be very out of touch to how fmo reader is.

Like this is so fmo reader is hurts. The ‘all three of us’ reminds me of when someone sent in the princess di/Charles/camila parallel. That line makes me think about Diana saying “there was three of us in the relationship”. And it’s still like that to this day even with Diana passing. Their lives, legacies, and worlds will forever be linked and that’s so tragic (for Diana idc about the other two they are going to hell lmao and deserve to be constantly reminded of what they’ve done)

thansku ^//^ yes it can seem so overwhelming but its rly not that bad once ur able to find a DAW like ableton or fl studio im not sure what others there are but. basically everything u need to know is in youtube videos where u can watch other ppls screens as they explain. this has helped me the most. n then once u get the controls down, it bcomes pretty intuitive n easy to come up with it as you go. so yeah i guess the first step id recommend wld be finding a program to use cus the videos arent much good if u cant follow along. as for how to get one, well,..theres free ones out there, and theres also ~free~ ones. the first one i used was audacity!! n i still love it tbh. thats my advice ^^ hope it can assist u, on ur joirney..and hope u can make some stuff that brings more joy to our world🫶

This has become a really long post, so I’m putting tips under the cut :)

I recommend talking to your friends or online acquaintances about their experiences with their gender. Are certain words/topics triggering to them? Personally, I have a hard time reading/writing about body dysphoria. It makes me super uncomfortable, especially when I know the person writing it is cis it just… it feels wrong to me. I want trans content, and I think everyone should be able to write it, but there are certain ways I feel like in general (and I’m being very broad here) when cis people write trans content they tend to use terms and phrases that they think is how we feel, when in reality it’s just rude and has a transphobic edge to it.

Find a sensitivity reader. There are some discord servers that offer sensitivity reading as a role and there are tons of people who will offer to help you out. Please just do it. I lost a friend over this. She had plenty of noncis acquaintances at her disposal, was in multiple discord groups that had sensitivity readers available, and yet she didn’t utilize them. She wrote an extremely transphobic fic that she thought was fine due to the time period the fic was set it, and while yes, technically it was, because she didn’t have a sensitivity she had no one to point out the flaws. When she posted, it lacked several critical trigger warnings, and unfortunately myself and several of my friends were sent into dissociating & dysphoric spirals that lasted for several days. All of it could have been avoided with a sensitivity reader, is what I’m saying. Even if you’re not writing something extremely dark, it’s important because they can catch the little phrases you might use that to you are totally fine, but to someone who is not cis sets of alarm bells.

trigger warning the shit out of your work. this is for everything: it’s always better to over warn than under warn. but, if you are writing a noncis person who is having even the slightest bit of dysphoria(their shirt just doesn’t sit quite right because of their body shape and they decide to completely change their outfit)—trigger warn it, being misgendered—trigger warn it, being dead named—trigger warn it.

do not give your characters dead names unless you are having another character dead name them and it is absolutely essential to the storyline (i.e. orion with regulus in wyidias). they do not need a dead name. your readers don’t need to know it. you don’t need to know it. it does not matter because it is not their name.

Please don’t use transphobia as a plot device if you can help it. i know in some situations it’s not entirely avoidable, but there are times when people just seem to think sprinkling it in adds flavor when really all it does is ruin it.

Do your research! It’s soooo easy to find information and terms and blogs that talk about experiences, you just have to take the time and do it!

Reread, edit thoroughly, have a beta if you can, and give yourself grace. You know how many times when I set a characters pronouns as they/them in a fic, I fuck up? The answer is a lot. I’m writing multiple fics where one character is he/him in most fics but they/them in the final. I fuck it up. All the fucking time. I edit and miss it. My beta edits and misses it. It happens. Someone comments on my fic “hey dude you missed this pronoun in this sentence” I curse, stamp my foot, fix it, and thank them. It happens. Don’t beat yourself up over it too much, you’re trying your best, and I’m just excited you want to be more inclusive in your writing.

Last but not least, I would probably put a disclaimer at the beginning of your work just stating that you are cis and if anyone sees anything wrong to bring it to your attention because you don’t want to upset anyone.

1. affirmations are just your thoughts so when we say affirm we mean just think in your favor. also some people say their affirmations in the mirror for different reasons so if that’s appealing to you then you should do it, same with the scripting.

2. I don’t believe in “small” or “big” manifestations, there’s no reason why you can’t have the thing you desire now so why wait ? I know I didn’t start off “small”

5. yes and no ima be honest I love Neville’s books but sometimes people can have a hard time understanding what he’s actually saying (I do believe someone made a summary of his lectures and books tho lmk if you want me to reblog it) but they’re really great for motivational purposes and getting the gist of the law . I recommend reading Neville and Joseph Murphy because while Neville focuses more on imagination and visualization , Joseph Murphy focuses more on affirmations or ‘reprogramming your subconscious’ but overall they’re both helpful and have success stories in their works.

6. ima tell you this now😂you need to get rid of any ‘logical’ mindset, I would say go and read other peoples personal success stories and maybe that will help or you can always just try it for yourself 🤷🏾‍♀️I’ll reblog some success stories that I know have pictures linked to them and last but least, I wouldn’t say ‘crazy’😂but from a logical standpoint ? it might seem crazy , I changed the color of my eyes .

howwwww ddid you manage to study and get a darned degree within a scheduled academic reality with your impulsive and random spurges of energy/inspiration¿¡ is it survivable most of my friends r systematic, somehow collected, motivated in a beauutiful steady way that’s typically required in higher ed and i just¡ do not¡ relate¡ loove you hope you are breathing easy🫶🏻🫶🏻

the truth is, i did get the degree, but the process was not as heroic as ur question makes it sound. the determination to finish came from a genuine passion for literature, but also cause i didnt want to drop out and have debt, but no degree to show for it. everytime i looked for an excuse to quit, i had my mum telling me 'i only had a year left and could pursue what i wanted to when i was done'. — she was right, but i dont think right means it was the only way to do things. i think my approach was courageous, but also very based in fear and lack of self believe. so whilst i dont regret it, and its part of what got me to build that self believe and faith over fear, there are times i question if dropping out and pursuing my 'spurges of inspiration' would have been the braver and more rewarding choice. it may or may not have been, but i cant answer that cause its not the path i chose.

how i did it was a matter of programming my mind. sounds cliche, but as ive said before i fanaticised over ways i could effectively 'hack my mind' so that regardless of what i thought felt and was going thru, i could not just perform, but overcome the barriers that made it hard for me to perform. (i have a ask with book recommendations and loads of those books were part of the resources that saw me thru). that process was ugly at times, full of extreme stress, insomnia, extreme highs, crazy lows, smatterings of episodes where i was so exhausted and had pushed my body, psyche and emotional state to such extremes that i was full on out of it and a shell of a person. i was sent to my uni therapist and psychiatrist multiple times, and my family were concerned for my wellbeing. i spoke to my professors one on one maybe a maximum of two times. i barely had friends and a social life because my mental state was so poor, and the friends i did have i was constantly paranoid about losing cause i felt like i had no energy to meet up with them call them or maintain a relationship with them. i had consistent insomnia and near to no quality life. and i pursued art, writing and non degree related passions only because i sacrificed doing the other stereotypical university things my friends were doing.

im not saying this to be a victim. i rate myself highly and respect myself for what ive been able to achieve, but i dont want to say all the good w out contextualising the reality of how bad it actually was. i love learning but the the institution of education itself was hell for me 2 b honestly quite insufferable. i dont know how i survived if not for sheer will

the only advice i can give you is try to have a schedule. dont compare yourself to others, just do your best, find what your passionate about re: your degree, set a personal goal of what you want to achieve, and hold on to that blindly. have people around you that will let you break down and vent about what your finding difficult without judgement. & its awkward but if you can find someone in ur unis pastoral care department that knows what your going thru and will check in to see if your doing good or struggling. above everything, life is short and not promised. follow ur urged and ur inspiration cause thats the only thing thats real and only thing that will keep ur spirits up when times are hard. skills and experience are more important than degrees
