♡ Being the adopted kid of a now-known serial killer tended to be very isolating, so you moved to a new place and took on a new name and identity in order to avoid the negative effects of what your dad had done

♡ Being his child, Alastor had always loved you very much and you really looked up to him. While you'd never been a killer or committed any serious crimes, you liked to believe he'd had good reason for what he'd done, and so you'd continued looking up to him despite it all after his murders came to light

♡ Which is why, when one of the kids you were in charge of looking after at the daycare you worked at turned out to be in a bad home situation, you stepped up

♡ Alastor had adopted you at a very young age from a similar situation and you cared deeply about this child so you ended up taking them in yourself and becoming a parent that day

♡ Your kid was an absolute terror. Alastor had always said you reminded him so much of his mom with your sweet and calm nature, so you supposed it was only natural for your own son to remind you so much of his grandpa with his dramatic antics and slightly violent tendencies

♡ Luckily, you were very good at having the kid's behavior under control and he always listened to you. It was everyone else that needed to worry when he was around

♡ You always hoped that, wherever your dad had ended up after his death, he would have been proud of you for following in his footsteps like this and that he would have loved his grandson if he could have met him

♡ So when you and your son both died in a horrific accident and ended up in hell, one of the first things you did was go looking for your dad so the whole family could be together

♡ Alastor found you long before you would have found him and he happily reunited with you, his child, after so long

♡ Appeared out of nowhere, hugged you, began talking about how much he'd missed you and how good it was to see you again, only to then notice the little boy standing behind you and growling like a feral cat

♡ Assuming the kid had been planning to attack you, Alastor started using his powers to get rid of your son, who immediately fought back like the little animal he was, but you put a stop to it all before anyone could get hurt, shouting for both of them to cut it out

♡ They both froze and you took a deep breath before picking up your son and turning back to your dad, explaining that you'd adopted a child while alive and introducing them as grandfather and grandson

♡ Neither of them were happy about that reveal but since you seemed so excited about the family reunion, they both hid their disdain behind fake smiles

♡ "I see..." Alastor said as he wiped his hand on his suit after shaking your son's hand, "then I suppose it is a pleasure to meet you...Child."

♡ Your son barred his teeth at your dad and that became the start of a deep dislike between them

♡ After that, the three of you all moved into a home together within hell. Alastor had insisted on you living with him again, especially now that you 'had a charge of your own to support' and claimed he simply wanted the chance to spend more time with his child and new grandchild

♡ Yeah, right

♡ Alastor and your son are both very good at acting like they get along while in your presence, but the second your back is turned, they're at one another's throats

♡ He would never actually harm your kid because he knows you would kill him if he did. However, that doesn't mean he won't 'defend himself' if your son attacks him so he takes it upon himself to provoke the child as much as possible and is quite good at it

♡ Several times, you've left Alastor in charge of watching your son while you went out, only to come home to the house nearly on fire. When you find them, they act like they just got carried away baking some treats but it's not hard to tell that that's a lie

♡ You routinely remind them both of how much you want them to get along and they both always claim that they do but it's a complete lie

♡ For how much Alastor loves and adores you, his own kid, he finds that he probably hates your son just as much

♡ You mentioned it to Rosie once when the three of you came to visit her in Cannibal Town and she said it's probably because the two of them are just too similar. Your son, in many ways, is like a younger version of Alastor and that's probably what gets on his nerves so much. That, and the fact that he feels his grandchild takes up way too much of your time and attention

♡ It's not until the two of them gain a common enemy that they finally find a way to be civil

♡ You had never dated much in life, either because of your slightly overbearing father or, later, your slightly overbearing son. Maybe you were never interested in it anyway

♡ But now that you're in hell, you end up finding someone you like enough to make your partner (whether romantic, queerplatonic, or anything else) and then that person starts taking your time away from both of them

♡ Common Enemy: Unlocked

♡ Now Alastor and your son find that they both hate your partner and want them gone so they reluctantly begin working together to subtly get rid of/scare them off

♡ Whenever your partner is over, they'll split up so that one of them makes an excuse to spend time with you while the other goes to your partner. One makes sure to keep you distracted while the other promptly terrorizes your partner in ways no one will believe them if they tell

♡ This goes on for a while, and eventually, between their shared chaotic natures, it works and your partner breaks things off with you

♡ And guess who's there to support you as you mourn the loss of the relationship? Your two favorite men who definitely didn’t plan this at all

♡ Cue them both in a group hug with you but behind your back they exchange glances with one another and Alastor nods approvingly

♡ Even though he still doesn’t really like your kid and feels like he has to compete with him for your time, the kid’s earned his approval today

♡ And who knows? Maybe if your son cares almost as much (he could never beat your dad as far as how much he loves you) as him, maybe there will be more times in the future in which the two of them work together to ‘protect’ you

♡ Either way, your son is safe from the anger of his grandpa, at least for now, and vice versa

gojo had been in this situation many times where you ran away from him and he knows it all too well. he could be a menace at times. could be too much at times with his antics. he knows it very well and seeing you running away from him, unlocked this feeling that he never knew he have. something primal—an instinct to hunt, to devour something with the metallic taste of blood in his tongue.

the way your body bounces with a huff, like a bunny hopping away from its predator.

you're in for the hunt and gojo likes it. he lets you run. giving him a setback of few minutes of making sure you were far from him but gojo knew you, more than you could ever know yourself. from your scent, to your heartbeat and to your small intakes of puff in your breath. it's like instinct for him to mark you and own you.

the teeth marks on your skin are evidence. they're like tattoos permanently etched in your skin. it fades but gojo replaces it with such eagerness until they're permanently marked in your supple skin.

when satoru decided that you've given him more time for him to get you and so, the hunt begins.

he didn't need his six eyes nor his ability to detect someone. it's all natural for him to sense you. no matter the distance or the poor attempt of disguising yourself.

“gotcha.” he says in his playful voice like it's the most innocent thing. you can never fool him. it's too easy. you and him were one. never be separated for too long. the other one ends up too delirious or maybe—crazy. lose control of what they are to feed the hunger in the pits of their soul. it doesn't work for him though, everything the gojo satoru can be but never temperamental and quick to diminish stuff. he's lax and cool. that what he is.

well, he could lose control too.

his hold to you, a vice grip like. fingers digs in the pudginess of your body. one he explored many times. claimed and marked. your back pressed in his chest. your heart beat thrumming like nails tapping in a hardwood desk.

it was never an intention to run. you could never escape his grasp. he's too much sometimes. biting your round cheeks like they were the mochi desserts he always had in missions. it leaves mark for everyone to see.

it never prepared you how dating gojo satoru could be like this. obsessive. it's not like you're going anywhere.

he holds you for a moment—his lips nibbling on the shell of your ear sending shivers down your spine while his hands grabbing the handful of flesh in your stomach through your uniform.

his index finger swipes to feel the shape of your lips. he kissed it many times. made claim to it that it only can be kissed by him, and only him.

turning your head to the side and looking above to meet his flawless face and he looks down to place a kiss to your lips. what tenderness started turned to desperation.

“satoru.” murmuring his name in-between kisses. stopping in a second before claiming your lips in his again.

gojo knew he could get high when in the brink of the death but fuck, your lips too had the same effect. your whole being is a addiction he never wanted to get rid of.

it continues for minutes until you're both panting for air. still gojo continues to slither his hands all over you body, grabbing and pinching whatever he can get with his hands. large palms holding your thighs. it splays and the flesh spills out in his palms despite being wide enough to grab someone's head.

you're a fucking delight for him. loves when you run away and only for him to catch. he murmurs your name in your ear. his breath tickling the nerves in your ear and sending tremors to the depths of your soul when he calls your name. it's the same for him.

“i could eat you whole.”

you shake your head at the statement. he'd already done that. strip you naked with nothing but his hands covering your most intimate parts. bites and nibbles at your flesh while he ruts himself deep into you.

savoring every moment. lavishing his palate with the most exquisite taste of your skin in his tongue. he's insatiable.

you could tell from how he gets desperate at times when you ran away from him like you were going to disappear at any given moment and it's his weakness. what weakness turning into something primal, so raw to claim you as his and that's the only way he can think to never let you go. if only you can stay forever in his arms he'll do it—with the power vested by the universe for him.

it's always this chase where he catch you everytime, the more he stays and sticks with you and that's the only thing you could ever return for him.

JacobLOL and Kirb Presents: The Chaotic Route

*Our story begins in Equestria. Discord, The master and Lord of Chaos is up to his usual chaotic tricks annoying anyone and everyone all day long. He made the Apple family's orchard come to life and ran away from the farm. He made Twilight Sparkle's books fly around at such a fast speed that they all eventually knocked Rainbow Dash of the sky. He stuck Rarity's Mannequins onto the ceiling and he even covered Pinkie Pie's own home with a chocolate flood.

Anyway, eventually, the complaining eventually got so out of hand, or hoof, that Fluttershy had no other choice but to confront her friend.*

Fluttershy (rather annoyed): "Discccoord. What have you been up to?"

Discord: "Hoho! Why would you possibly want to know that Fluttershy? It's been pretty lacking, I must say."

Fluttershy: "Well, that's not what everypony else is saying. They're all coming up to me and complaining about the stuff you've done!"

Discord: *scoffs* "Like what?"

*Fluttershy then replied with all the antics that were mentioned earlier.*

Discord (awkwardly): "Ohhh right, that."

Fluttershy: "Yes. That."

Discord: "Oh, come on, Fluttershy! At least I didn't hurt anyone!"

Fluttershy: "No, you didn't directly. But you've could've cost both Rarity and Pinkie Pie their jobs! What would've happened then?"

Discord (muttering): "I wouldn't mind, I think I did worst to Applejack."

Fluttershy: "What was that?!"

Discord (realising): "Um, nothing!"

*Discord gave Fluttershy a big grin, and Fluttershy sighed.*

Fluttershy: "Look, Discord, I understand why you need to be chaotic. It's a part of your nature, and it keeps you alive."

Discord: "Why thank you for being so thoughtful, Flutter-"

Fluttershy: "HOWEVER... Surely, there's a better way for you to use your magic without getting on anyone's nerves."

Discord: "Hmpf! You think you know so much about being a Draconequus, don't you?"

Fluttershy: "I try my best, Discord. I try because I care about you and I know that you're now reformed, but don't forget, we do still have the Elements of Harmony, and even though it would give me a great amount of guilt, I'd have to seal you back into stone again if you were to ever go too far again."

*Fluttershy sighed as her eyes darted towards the ground. After a few awkward seconds, Discord eventually spoke up.*

Discord: "I think some ponies just need to accept that I'm still going to be somewhat chaotic."

Fluttershy: "That's not the point, Discord."

Discord (rather frustrated): "Then what is it then, Fluttershy?!!"

Fluttershy: "It's about me making sure you don't end up on the wrong side of things again, and it's also so you quit pestering my friends!"

Discord: "Oh, come on now, Fluttershy. You know they're used to it by now."

Fluttershy: "Well, maybe they are, but that doesn't make it any less annoying for them."

*Discord pouted.*

Discord: "You ponies are no fun sometimes."

Fluttershy: "It's not that we aren't fun, or that we don't enjoy your antics from time to time. It's just that there's a time and place for them. There's needs to be order at least at some points of the day. Y'know, like order."

Discord: "You mean the one thing I truly go against? You ponies really care about your harmony, don't you?"

Fluttershy: "I mean, it's been around our culture for so long, it's bound to."

Discord (muttering): "Right..."

*Discord lowered his head.*

Discord: "You do everything you can to fit in, and yet you still can't."

Fluttershy: "Discccoord. Don't be like that. I'm your friend and so is everyone else."

Discord: "But you don't know what it's like to be me and unless I actually turn you into a draconequus, which I don’t even know if that's possible, you'll never know."

*Discord then lifted he head, as he looked into sky.*

Discord: "That's why I enjoyed being around that jester, Jevil. He, too, was a creature of chaos. He understood me and my own struggles for freedom. Sadly, I haven't really heard much from them since I was kicked out of his little group while you and the others were fighting them."

Fluttershy: "Do you miss Jevil then?"

*Discord sighed.*

Discord: "Yes."

Fluttershy: "Well, why don't you try making up with Jevil? That could help make you feel better!"

Discord: "I suppose I could, if I really wanted to... Then again, the supposed 'Dark World' seems pretty fun too..."

*Suddenly, Discord gasped as a light bulb went off.*

Discord: "Sweet Celestia, that's it, Fluttershy!!! I know where I can go to continue being my chaotic self without interfering with the ponies duties! Oh, thank you, Fluttershy!"

*Discord hugged a rather confused Fluttershy.*

Fluttershy: "Umm... You're welcome?"

Discord: "Now, let us set forth for The Dark World!"

Fluttershy: "Wait, wha-"

*Discord, with Fluttershy in his arms, summoned a door that shun with a bright light onto the other side and with a now confident smile on his he jumped through the said, all while Fluttershy was tagging along with him.*

*Meanwhile, it was yet another day for Kris and her friends. That being a day of boring classes with Alphys and Berdly being annoying. Except for the fact that Berdly hasn't been seen at all for several days. Not that it bothered Susie or Kris, really. In fact, they couldn't really care less.*

*Anyway, everyone was pretty bored. There was nothing fun to do, and Kris, Noelle, and Susie could really only tolerate Sans for so long.* So, bored out of their minds, they decided to head to The Dark World, where our story truly begins... Once our teams switched outfits and found themselves in Castle Town, they were greeted by Lancer.*

from the stuff i’ve heard marc’s former honda teammates (dani jorge and pol in their media careers but joan also i guess) say about him now that they’re racing is generally quite positive, both on a professional/riding level but also seemingly on a personal level? i’m wondering what you make of that given that, yeah, marc doesn’t seem like a very good teammate (unless you’re alex who i’ve left off this list). like MARC wants to separate on and off track stuff and it seems like all of these guys are willing too at least in retrospect, so he can’t have truly burned bridges with them. do you have any thoughts on that

(x, x) most riders are quite good at not burning bridges with each other! it's not like marc's competitors don't know that this stuff is kinda part of the game. I mean, all of marc's past teammates were also trying to assert themselves within the internal hierarchy... you can say that certain teammates engage in 'worse' behaviour than others, but, like, these people do understand they're supposed to be fighting each other! a baseline degree of nastiness is factored in and will be accepted to a greater or lesser extent by your rivals - especially when it comes to asserting yourself in intra-team power struggles. you might hate the other guy in the moment, but generally speaking once the active part of the rivalry is done with... you will probably get over it. marc's fellow riders are aware of how ultra-competitive marc is - and to a certain point they do respect it, not least because they're aware that this is part of the reason why marc has ended up with all those titles. it's like dani said, right, it's marc's strong suit. and in general, you do have to say that there's relatively few teammate pairings that devolve to the level of toxicity that it completely destroys the interpersonal relationship. you might need some level of preexisting animosity... most of the purely competitive sins can be healed with a little time

on the 'separating on-track and off-track' thing... well. this is kind of a question of how you define these things, you can say that marc generally speaking isn't going to massively hold grudges over isolated on-track incidents or whatever... but he doesn't just leave his fighting to the track, and personally I've also never felt he can entirely separate these things out in his mind. can you really say his professional and private relationships with other riders are completely detached from one another? mostly, he's opted to be pretty disengaged from his fellow riders as a collective, and obviously that's a good way to not take things too personally... it's all part of the game, isn't it? sometimes it's good to go with the straightforward approach: marc tells you he will make your life hell, he does indeed make your life hell, and then you both move on with your lives and can maybe actually have a pretty amiable relationship with him in years to come. he's not really defying your expectations at any point here, is he now? it's still a question for each of them as individuals as to whether they think that kind of behaviour is above board and acceptable or not... but everyone by now knows that marc plays these games, so it's not like they're going in blind

and it's not like other former teammates are constantly badmouthing each other. I mean... look, let's just cut to the chase here and bring in valentino as our reference point (as he is for the sport as a whole, which by the way does also help create a certain baseline of acceptability for marc's antics - maybe goated riders are just supposed to be dicks who knows). vale's premier class teammates were 1) nobody (2000-01), 2) tohru ukawa (2002), 3) nicky hayden (2003; 2011-12), 4) carlos checa (2004), 5) colin edwards (2005-2007), 6) jorge lorenzo (2008-10; 2013-16), 7) maverick vinales (2017-20), 8) franco morbidelli (2021), and 9) andrea dovizioso (2021). of these eight men (let's just exclude 'nobody' for now), do you know how many had serious complaints at any point about valentino as a teammate? that's right, it's one guy. one. some of valentino's other teammates, like hayden, checa and edwards, were even quite actively positive about their whole experience. this is the thing - you do need some specific circumstances for teammate rivalries to escalate from 'being kinda bitchy every other month' to 'actively fantasising about stabbing each other'. not accounting for natural interpersonal animosity, let's list some circumstantial factors that you need to get a bridge-burning-worthy level of feud:

you need a competitive bike. it is possible to beef about development direction when you're in the trenches (cf late 2010's yamaha, 2020's honda)... but generally speaking this is going to be quite low-level petty stuff, not actual war

you also need something that approaches competitiveness between teammates. if one teammate is unquestionably stronger than the other one, then it is very unlikely that you are going to get any open hostilities. the tension comes when the two sides are close enough to each other for the internal hierarchy to actually be a contentious issue (this is also basic self preservation... if you're the far weaker teammate then you do not want to make the situation troublesome, because then you will be the one to be fired)

following on from those first two things... well, it doesn't hurt to have a title fight in the mix. there are also other ways you can generate competitive stakes, like, for instance, if you and your teammate know that one of you will be out of a job soon. basically, it helps to have something to squabble over

it is maybe easy to forget how rare it is this century for teammates to be fighting directly for a title, let alone over the course of multiple seasons. only two 1-2's since the year 2000 and they're both for the factory yamaha's (though 2006, 2011-13 and 2017 did all prominently feature two factory hondas). which means that for valentino, the prerequisites were met just the once in his premier class career... and yes, the results were pretty memorable, but (topic! for! another! post!) it's worth pointing out that even that relationship was pretty much 'fine' whenever there was a sizeable disparity between the two of them performance-wise (2008 and 2013 are the most clear cut examples). I think the way I'd frame it with marc is that he has a bunch of mildly dubious strategies up his sleeve to assert himself within the team, which don't really deviate that far from what you'd expect from a rider of marc's calibre and only need to be escalated under specific circumstances. that doesn't mean he doesn't have the potential to be ruthless, but up until now it's mostly been a fairly 'acceptable' level of ruthlessness on the intra-team level... and not something that is likely to make other riders actually hate him

taking marc's teammates one by one... dani was the closest to meeting the bridge-burning prerequisites, though he was only a title rival in marc's rookie season. and marc did go further with him than he did with anyone else, and dani has made some pointed comments about marc's style as a teammate... but yes, he is fonder of marc these days. partly I'd just emphasise again that this is a fairly natural progression when you've stopped directly competing for long enough, and partly it's also just a question of individual personality - dani's not massively into holding grudges. then there's jorge, who... I mean, they might as well not have been teammates, given that jorge was either too slow or too injured to even be sharing any track space with marc. you have to put that one down primarily to circumstance, seeing as jorge's own track record on the teammate front isn't exactly spotless. marc and jorge beefing in 2019 would have been pretty dumb and also a massive waste of everyone's time in a year in which marc singlehandedly won the team's championship. even those two needed more to get things going

moving on to the dark years, pol and marc had an extremely stop-and-start partnership on a honda that was generally pretty uncompetitive... so the only stuff they could get ever so mildly irritable about were riveting incidents like 'marc saying pol wasn't the biggest championship threat' (neither of them were) or 'pol saying he'd copy marc's set up' (which proved entirely useless). not exactly title decider territory, is it now, and marc very much had pol covered as a challenger throughout their partnership. also, those two do have a longer history! they've known each other since they were kids and hold a pretty significant place in each other's careers. now that pol's more or less retired, it's natural there'll be quite a lot of sentimentality there - which will paper over any small cracks that appeared during those two years. and joan was a one year teammate at a time in which the bike was consistently close to offing them both. they only managed to start a sunday race together as teammates on thirteen occasions. it would take some serious effort to engineer a feud with that little opportunity, and, really, why on earth would you bother. maybe if honda had gone for rinsy rather than joan for the factory seat, it could've been a bit more prickly, but it's unlikely that it would have escalated beyond that

this is the thing, right, the only one of these partnerships that would have been worth burning bridges over was dani, and even there marc pretty much had him handled after the first season. in general, marc has been pretty clear on how he's not interested in making friends with the other side of the garage while the teammate relationship is ongoing... which is fine! there's some prominent-ish teammate pairings that are actually good friends, some teammate pairings where one of them is actively helping out and advising the other one, but some riders prefer to just keep their distance. it would have been a little silly of marc to start a feud with a teammate who is galaxies away from being a competitive threat, let alone a title rival, but generally it is possible to toe the line between 'attempting to suppress your internal rivals enough to stop them from becoming a problem for you' and 'taking radical enough action to make your internal rivals despise you'

especially in the post-dani era, marc never really had any need to push things too far... and, let's face it, how many of your teammate relationships end up with burnt bridges is also quite frankly a question of luck and circumstance. do you want to guess which top rider on paper has the worst track record this century with premier class teammate feuds, in terms of a) how many they've had, and b) how little public reconciliation there has been since the end of the rivalry?

yes, that's right, it's the first name that comes to mind when you're thinking of toxic and conflict-prone riders: andrea dovizioso. that old devil, constantly causing trouble. just couldn't stop undermining his poor, innocent teammates. can somebody please stop this ruthless bully before it's too late

I think you get the point. I would personally suggest that dovi is not in fact the worst teammate it is possible to have in a motogp top team. he just happened to find himself in a situation where he was teammates with two separate guys he did not click with at all, in situations that involved a pairing of riders who were (or had the potential to be) competitive with each other, as well as some proper stakes attached to the rivalry. in general, situational factors are going to determine this stuff more than anything else... and marc more often than not does have a reasonably good feel for picking his battles. he's flirted with the line, but he's mostly avoided crossing it. he hasn't had to

days can switch between domestic bliss to overtly interesting dates. tengen always comes up with the initial idea for a date (like dinner or going to a festival) and kyojuro naturally likes to expand on it and plan accordingly. setting up times and places.

tengen loves the sounds of your combined laughter, it melts his heart when he realizes its happening. as the sound hashira it quickly become his favorite.

they're both very spontaneous and heart-led people, sometimes they need a reminder to slow down and think things through. . . and on the other hand its good for you to be dragged along into their antics!

whenever tengen sees you throughout the day he's always gonna give you a kiss or a hug / kyojuro will sort of linger to you, managing to rest his head on your shoulder and/or bury his face in your neck

kyojuro is the person you both kind of look to for support, he's a bit wiser and emotionally inept as a partner. In fact its easy for him to pick up on everyone's off days. the biggest supporter for you both!

speaking of which, these tall boys usually don't bend down to kiss you, they'll scoop you up right off your feet for one

when tengen cooks for you two he likes to do so alone, he's very capable of managing a fiery kitchen alone, you two would just get in the way so "sit down and wait until its done"

always communicating with you, about their schedules/work, just to talk in general or make plans. even with both of them are away at night or on missions

i also feel if you guys were ever cuddled together on a bed or a couch you'd be squished in the middle, back against tengen's broad chest and your legs being rubbed by kyojuro

there both always warm too (maybe too warm)

both tengen and kyojuro are relieved to have each other and you, having such strong partners puts their minds at ease.

tengen doing that thing where he fixes your outfits/appearances if a little thing is out of place.

tengen also brags about you two to anyone who's interested in listening to him / kyojuro's face turning bright red in embarrassment

kyojuro loves surprises! especially small ones like hugs (and it's pretty easy to sneak up on him too since his hearing is kinda shot)

kyojuro is very open about everything. doesn't hide much and tells you both how he feels / tengen keeps to himself a little more, at least the personal stuff (he thinks he can handle it on his own)

jealousy levels: tengen doesn't get too jealous, maybe frustrated is a better word. would definitely just drag you away and keep you to himself for a bit

as for kyojuro, he gets quiet and a little sulky (puts distance between himself and everything else) and would never question either of you of cheating

when you all train together tengen doesn't seem to take it all that seriously (just tries to show off his physique) and kyojuro likes advice on his form

honestly, they respect your decision to join the corps. sure. . . but they'll always worry for you.

the pride they'd feel if/when they witness you pass the final selection or become a hashira unto your own (it's immeasurable)

them just being stunned. absolutely gob-smacked at your abilities

or taking them down in training

overpowering tengen or outmaneuvering kyojuro would probably have their skin burning from the neck up. (its like the feeling of falling in love all over again)

them lowkey betting on which color nichirin blade you'll get

and they wouldn't fight over who would take you as a tsugoku (but then again . . . maybe) even which breathing-style is best for you

of course everythings your say in the end. . . but they're still gonna help

Well about the perception of Volo vs Kamado thing, and why more people don’t hate Volo, I have my own reflections (pretty privilege is absolutely a factor tho let’s be real 😂)

Everyone growing up has at least one story of an adult being super unfair to you, even though you were doing everything right. Their own biases and experiences could be understood later once you were older and calmer reflecting back on the incident, like a teacher who snapped at you maybe had a super long day of wrangling hundreds of children. But we never forget how it feels in that moment to have those who should be guiding us be unfair and seemingly unreasonable. So naturally that’s gonna hurt when you get kamado being paranoid.

Volo on the other hand is just absolutely delightful I’m sorry maybe if Kamado put on a silly outfit and hair for his boss battle instead of plate mail he’d have more art. Like you said Volos betrayal is one and done really, he acts like a theater kid and then dips. You have to keep seeing kamado being in charge in the game after his blunders for a while which can rub people the wrong way. (Also this is maybe just me but I never trusted Volo just like I never trusted Cynthia as a kid, and finding out he was evil was a great moment of vindication I CANT be the only one who experienced this)

TLDR we see unfairness way more than we see someone betray us while making their hair like a god horse

well, you heard them, kamado. time to go get the jester outfit. cmon chop chop it's to redeem your image

yeah, the point abt getting burned by adults in authority is also very fair. most of us were not scarred for life by theater kid antics lol. the other thing abt it is that often those same adults never really face any consequences. you were always just expected to move on, suck it up etc. cause that's life as a kid right. sometimes ppl will use their power over you just to flex their limited authority, or to vent whatever's going on in their home life, and this doesn't really stop when you grow up it's just that when you're a kid basically every adult has that authority position. so it's just expected that there's nothing you can do. i mean unless you decide to be the karmic force of justice in your own life by being the most stubborn bitch of a child to walk the earth. not that i would know anything about that cough

uh anyway. the thing is the thing btwn you and kamado isn't about about child vs adult. you're more or less considered an adult yourself by jubilife, albeit a rather young and more importantly low ranking one. like we've said (a million times already lol) kamado's not doing it just to grasp at a sense of control, he's reacting to what he perceives as a very real threat to his village (and also because the writers clocked him in the face with the idiot ball for plot advancement reasons lbr).

and the thing is kamado DOES, kind of, face consequences and own up to his mistakes by the end of the game. also after the red sky event he's like, REALLY nice to you lol. not just briefly either! imo you can tell that he sincerely respects you and regrets his actions in the red sky. go look at his late game quotes-

"Perhaps you are a divine being yourself, sent to bring us gifts from above... "I know I've no right to say this... But we are truly fortunate to have been able to count you among the Survey Corps' ranks. If you had not joined us, we would have fallen on Mount Coronet. We would have lost our home. We would have lost our future." "I'm grateful to you for showing me what a heartening presence Pokémon can be. We must spar again sometime!" "<player>, forgive me for taking so much of your time [telling you about the Galaxy name.] Please accept this as a sort of apology."

like he's trying to make up for the way they were treated earlier and give them the proper treatment they're owed for all their help.

idk i don't have a good way to conclude this i guess. i just think he's a cool character

(Trails of Cold Steel) Fie, Laura, Emma, Towa, and Sara with a hyper S/O

THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND, NOW THERE ARE TWO OF THEM

Fie mostly remains her deadpan self. It serves as amusing contrast whenever someone looks at her and S/O.

Since she's used to dealing with the hurricanes that are Millium and her other classmates, she knows exactly how to handle them.

And that's mainly by indulging them with her stoic voice not budging an inch.

Though her smirk is evident as she eggs them on.

(Fie) "Yeah, it would be pretty funny if you scared Emma, S/O."

It does get a bit much for her sometimes, when she wants to nap, S/O bursts through the door and makes it very hard to do so.

At the same time, it brings a lot of joy into her life and a nice break from whatever serious business she was doing that day.

Laura could barely deal with Millium, now she had an adult(debatably) version of them to deal with.

Honestly? She has no idea what to do with S/O other than get swept up.

(Laura) "S-S/O! Slow down, please!"

She constantly gets surprised by S/O leaping onto her. While she can carry them no problem, it's always the sheer shock of the ambush that almost has her dropn them.

Laura doesn't hesitate to tell S/O that they need to calm down, but most of the time she secretly enjoys their antics. This was a nice break from solely training her swordsmanship.

Emma is about ready to have a heart attack whenever S/O gets out of sight, because that means they're planning something.

That heart rate of hers spikes if Millium is at all in the vicinity, because whatever it is will result in something chaotic.

(Emma) "Whew, so tired! Alright, now where did they go...?"

Although she doesn't say she does, Emma uses her magic to find them if her patience is starting to thin. Though she can now predict where they're going to scare her from just on instinct alone.

As much as it wears her down, it conversely gives her life to see how happy S/O is with them.

Having someone who just cares only about who you were and not what you were was a nice change of pace.

Towa's S/O is her energy boost for the day.

The second S/O senses Towa overworking herself, they're quick to butt in, even if she insists that she can get it done without hurting herself.

Towa is usually swept off her feet, and much to her dismay, sometimes in front of the others.

(Towa) "S-S/O! Please, not in front of the students!"

Worst of all, everyone usually encourages it as S/O rushes to get her some food or whatever it is they're feeling that day.

Towa sighs and pouts, but she loves the doting S/O gives to her. Not that she'll say it, because she doesn't want to give them the satisfaction.

Sara doesn't mind S/O's upbeat attitude as much as she thought.

It definitely beats a certain someone with a pole up their ass, but she never thought she'd know Claire's pain of trying to wrangle a wild-child.

Though given enough alcohol, and Sara will usually join them in their shenanigans.

(Sara) "Hang on, S/O. Not nearly drunk enough for this."

It brings her such life to watch the serious people in their lives try to deal with S/O.

Sometimes, Sara uses S/O on Major Michael to deal as much psychic damage as possible whenever he brings up her age.

Okay, today sucked, but I finally made my list! The first part kinda ended up just being a story outline, but whatever!

HEADCANONS FOR THE KUZURYU HAREM AU:

Fuyuhiko and Natsumi are twins

Peko is their adopted sister

All the “tool” stuff still happened, but Peko is very slowly learning her own self-worth

Natsumi is alive, obviously lol

Hajime and Natsumi are in the same class

Most of their classmates are afraid to stand up to Natsumi, because she's in the yakuza

Hajime isn't, though, and he calls her out on shit sometimes

Natsumi is surprised, but intrigued

She starts hanging around him all the time and the two of them form an unlikely friendship

She invites him to her house one day

Hajime meets Fuyuhiko and Peko

Blurts out, “Jeez, is everyone in your family hot?” like a dumbass

Reactions are varied

Natsumi is laughing her ass off

Fuyuhiko is flustered as hell

Peko is kind of confused, but flattered

Hajime wants to die

But they get over it and have fun hanging out

All three of them take a liking to Hajime (platonically, at first)

They hang out a lot as a group

But after a while, they end up all trying to get more of Hajime's attention

Even Peko, which surprises everyone, including her

The fight for Hajime's attention gets more aggressive

The siblings all start inviting him to hang out one-on-one

Hajime is confused, but happy that he has three cool friends

Eventually Natsumi realizes that she likes Hajime romantically

She tells Fuyuhiko and Peko, hoping that it will get them to back off

But her admitting her feelings makes the other two realize that they also like Hajime romantically

The three of them fight for a bit

They decide to all confess to Hajime together and let him choose who he likes

When they do, though, Hajime is completely dumbfounded

Had no idea shit was getting romantic

He doesn't want to pick any of them until he has a chance to reevaluate his feelings for them

So he wants to wait to give them an answer

The siblings begrudgingly agree

But Natsumi and Fuyuhiko are impatient

So it doesn't take long for them to try to sway his decision

Both of them start flirting with him all the time

Even Peko starts coming on to Hajime, in her own way

But she has no idea how to flirt lol

The twins get more and more aggressive with their advances

Leading to a lot of sexy situations lmao

Antics ensue

Actual headcanons:

Natsumi feels extra bitter about Hajime not immediately picking her, since he was her friend first

Fuyuhiko didn't admit to himself that he was gay until he developed feelings for Hajime

Peko is struggling between her efforts to see herself as a person and her desire to make the twins happy

Hajime has no idea how he ended up in this scenario with three love interests, but he likes it

Natsumi likes to make Hajime take her on dates where he has to pay

Fuyuhiko prefers to pay for Hajime when they go out

And Peko prefers to stay in

All three of them steal Hajime's sweatshirts constantly

Hajime can never find a jacket when it's cold, because they've all been stolen

All three siblings have tried to cook for Hajime at different times, with varying results

Natsumi made a great meal that Hajime loved

Fuyuhiko burnt everything, but Hajime pretended to love it anyway

Peko followed instructions on a box and it was fine, so Hajime told her he loved it

Hajime tends to “accidentally” find their underwear sometimes

But he has definitely never done anything… weird… with it (⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ ͜⁠ʖ⁠ ͡⁠°⁠)

Hajime's neck and shoulders are covered in bite marks

Meanwhile the twins are covered in hickies

Peko is classy, so hers are underneath her clothes lmao

Natsumi and Fuyuhiko are both super loud during sexy times

Peko is much quieter

Also Peko prefers not to do much sexy stuff

Natsumi will insult and talk shit to Hajime right up until his dick is in her lmao

Fuyuhiko will insult Hajime around the others, but when they're alone he's much sweeter

Peko doesn't intentionally insult Hajime, but her bluntness can lead to inadvertent insults

The three of them will casually compare their experiences with Hajime, including all the dirty details

Natsumi once asked Hajime whose boobs he liked better, and he answered “Fuyuhiko” just to be an asshole

So I was scrolling through my splatoon gallery, where I save random splatoon art I like to look at when I don't have Internet

And I found this really old one of Goggles crying for whatever reason while Specs hugs him, presumably to comfort him, i don't remember the context.

But it made me think of how that would happen in canon.

And like, okay, I know it's pretty easy to trash on Goggles, I do too as he annoyed me sometimes, but I actually really like him, or at least, the idea of what he could have been.

Because he is pretty adorable and I love some of his antics, I find them really funny sometimes! It's just become....too much, and I sometimes wish to see him cry or hurt in some way.

And I don't say this in a malicious way like i want him to suffer because I hate him, and more like, I want to see him experience other emotions other than joy.

And everytime I got a glimpse of that, where he seemed to have fallen defeated, it turns around and shows us he wasn't actually, and once or twice I get, but it's happened too many times and too many times I've gotten disappointed.

And i know this is a comedy manga, it's for kids and it's funny, but like

Think about it

This character, who is always happy, always the one uplifting others, when they feel in doubt he shows up and makes them feel better, his friends, his opponents, we've seen it with all, but who would be there to uplift him.

I mean, a man can only take so much, right? What if they fail, what if Goggles doesn't feel as confident or he looses hope? What then?

Does everyone just loose hope with him? Because if a guy like him looses hope, then what does that mean for the rest?

What would they do in this situation? It would be kind of nice to see the characters we have seen throughout the series uplift him, showing all the good he has done, showing him to not give up, etc, etc.

It's cliché, I'll admit, but it be sweet for these characters to do that for him, and see Goggles more than just an over powered character who feels no emotions other than joy and stuff.

We do see very small moments of that, but it is always overrided by the punchline of the scene. We've seen other characters on their lowest before, we've seen them struggles, hell, with the newer chapters, from what I've seen so far (I haven't read since June, I'll admit) you can see more of that with [spoilers for splat3 arc] Ocho who is all cocky and stuff, but once he gets beaten we get a small glimpse of dialogue, showing something deeper, "I just wanted to be strong...!", and he is CLEARLY still upset about it afterwards, he doesn't do a 180 like previous characters, which is sort of giving me hope for more interesting plots (especially with the lead now being braids, more or less).

Not really for Goggles, I know that is too much of wishful thinking, but we know they're capable of doing that, so maybe a glimpse of that is all I can ask for.

It’s a very gradual thing and there’s never really a confession it’s just like. Somewhere along the lines they make it official. If there were ever a confession it’d be a major snorplo moment where it’s like “we’ve legit been dating for years now”

they're both stoked tho

I would not be surprised if it's something that happens later in the timeline honestly. if we get swarper for realzies in canon im assuming it's not happening until like. probably later in the sequel. idk if the animated series would be another interquel with all the bounties we didn't see between the game and dlc or more of a retelling of the game orrr??? idk idk??? shrug?? so idk exactly to expect but who knows

maybe they'd only consider themselves together by the time everything w/ Gurgula is said and done and they can actually kind of. truly move the fuck on from everything that's gone down.

Sweezy is actually the more outwardly affectionate one. Also a lot more flirtatious. Likes to see Harper get all mushy and flustered. Harper is a bit on a stoic+awkward side and a little hesitant to get so close to her bc she’s still getting used to being close to people without them. Yknow. (COMIC SPOILERS KIND OF FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT READ IT YET SORGY) Dying getting their memory wiped turning out to be evil etc etc etc

Sweezy too to an extent. I think even though she is very like “hiii babe hugs and kisses love youuu” she is also a bit scared what the future holds and doesn’t want to let her guard down entirely just yet. She’s not very vulnerable and it does take a while for the two to have their more serious chats on what they are how they feel anything super deep etc etc

Though of course I say this relative to their personalities. Harper is pretty sweet and sweezy is still sweezy. Sweezy does still tease her and during tougher patches she can be, well, tough. Meanwhile Harper is usually looking on the bright side and whatnot.

I don’t think they argue much but there’s playful bickering and I’m sure sometimes the tension from bounty hunting boils over a lil ..

When they do fight they take some time to themselves then talk it out and usually get a little treat. There has been one (1) tearful apology. At least

I also do feel like they'd be the sort to be more lowkey about things anyway. sometimes Harper wishes she had an easier time showing her appreciation and love but in general there's not a lot of pressure to act a certain way or whatever

Sweezy fell first for sure. harper probably fell harder but i feel like she'd not pin it for what it is at first,, "wow im so glad sweezy is such a good friend :) idk why my heart is racing rn"

Harper was from a relatively well off family, cozily middle class. Sweezy was from a working class family. there have been some "no harper not everyone can go to a ski resort every winter vacation" moments but mainly harper wishes she still had it to spoil her girl. She likes giving gifts when she can for sure.

though for real she would give sweezy like a thousand cool rocks. she will find a way to give something nice.

Harper does like cuddling but sometimes the gems are a bit pointy. it takes them both a while to get comfy. But it can be their lil ritual

The two certainly have each other's back but neither is overprotective. They're both very capable and one need not try to shield them from the world or anything like that.

I need... antics. Past midnight shenanigans. Getting into trouble havin fun making memories. Please. Please.

sleepovers :3 yes technically atm that's just sleeping on the same shelf or whatever but :3 we can make it happen we can make it work...

Sweezy has a lot of romantic experiences. Many a shitty ex. Played into some of her worries but Harper is a breath of fresh air honestly.

Meanwhile Harper has very little experience and has probably only dipped her nonexistent toes (tip of handle? Barrel? Muzzle?) into the waters of dating with either 1-2 past partners or dates that have never gotten serious. She is very excited but also very nervous and wishes that the people she would have gone to for advice were all still around. And/or of sound mind and body. Yknow. Yknow who I’m talking about :) two or three people in mind here… :) :) :))) but cest la vie

Sweezy is bi and proud bay beeee!! Harper is sapphic and otherwise unlabeled,, bicurious mayhaps,, and a lil shy on the matter... girl pretty... what else is there to say...

Neither really wants to do anything too formal for dates they like doing fun stuff. The bounty hunter has to chaperone/drive/third wheel often NOT LIKE GATLIANS CANT MOVE AROUND IT'S JUST TRICKY 8 TIMES OUTTA 10 but they like to go places like the park arcade aquarium... stuff like that i think...

maybe they'd want to be married someday but either it'd be a small ceremony or getting officiated and then just throwing a reception party and/or and/or never getting technically married but remaining life partners

harper would be into getting married but it would take a while she would be very intimidated by the prospect. sweezy doesn't know if marriage is right for her in general, successful relationship or not.

So we know about the darker, realistic parts of your fic, but how about the softer, more loving parts? As in, what parts do you like, and what parts do you want to see more of?

Let me preface by saying some of my own favorite moments between the characters haven't been published yet.. 🔥👀 So stay tuned~

As for the General stuff:

The main thing I love about the series in general, and bake into CGaL is how much those cats love each other but not only that, they're loved by many in their neighborhood as well.

People can sigh and moan about their antics all day, but there's a sense of community amongst the residents of Precinct 13. And they ain't gonna take some punkass criminals harming their communal cats lyin' down.

I have a lotta fun reading old articles and interviews on TC because everyone always agrees on how soft-hearted T.C. remains in spite of everything. Of course I think everyone’s entitled to write these characters in their stories however they interpret them but like, I'll admit there’ll be this part of me who’ll side-eye anyone who writes T.C. as 'mean' by default because I have no idea where they got that from lol XD The gang owns him. And Benny's the best one at approaching him especially with the Big Asks that they know he'll keep rejecting until he eventually cracks.

T.C.'s both intelligent and likable, a deadly combo if he was THAT kinda guy. And unlike many other cats in the city, he can survive on his own. He technically doesn’t really need other cats on the long run. But that’s not what the gang’s about for him. He’d probably get things done a lot faster by himself and he'd be super light but he’s ridiculously soft for his boys. They make plans more complex and they're literally dependent on him but they're everything to him.

(Side note, it’s both extremely funny and extremely endearing to me how the first thing T.C. will do for anyone joining the group is to feed them. Literally. He’ll make a fine Italian grandma one day )

In spite of everything, T.C. genuinely likes Dibble and considers him a part of their lives, and someone ‘replacing’ him is out of the question, like the situation with Prowler. Anyone badmouthing Dibble is a walking red flag and is immediately on T.C.'s list of 'snakes'.

It's what Dibble does and represents that complicates things. T.C. flouts the law and sees it as a blind tool that only makes some people stronger and others more invisible and forgotten. Dibble has to be professional, unbiased and do his job with integrity, but boy, is it hard sometimes. He can't help but love the gang almost to the point of irrationality and it's thanks to his great reputation that his more astute colleagues don't hold this over his head or take advantage of it.

Needless to say, Dibble doesn't have the same hang-ups as T.C., and is much more open with his emotions.

As the story progresses, it'll become clearer that life on the streets shaped T.C. and G.P. very differently. One’s greatest desire is to have a close family and live freely, and the other’s is to never have to feel invisible and powerless again

Some Specific moments:

G.P. didn't truly get it, what it does to T.C. when he threatened Spook's life. Happened in Chapter 6, will probably happen again later at a worse scale, because by then he knows how much it affects him

T.C. and Benny's closeness, physically and emotionally especially during the hospital stay

Although not mentioned outright in the story, T.C. absolutely loves Tony's elderly parents. Staying with the man at the family home for a month also just massively grew his affection for Tony

Dibble and T.C. on the bridge. Dibble growing even more fond of T.C. and genuinely wanting to understand where he comes from

T.C. absolutely NOT having it when Saber tried to drag Spook's name into a murder he didn't commit. He was pissed, knowing a dozen cops were listening in on the other side of the window

With both Spook and Choo Choo gone, and him blowing up at Fancy, T.C. feels an obligation to keep it together, for Benny and Brain, but the stress and the feeling of powerlessness was becoming debilitating. Dibble had to hold up a mirror to his face metaphorically speaking to show him how he was cracking under the pressure and not really helping anyone. T.C. couldn’t deny it any longer and had to accept his help

Mario Goes To Italy

The first sign of trouble would be during a sponsor, when SMG4 goes quiet a couple of times and almost thinks too carefully about his words before going back to normal.

Mario Forgets He's Fat And Has To Lose Weight.. Again

Another sign of trouble. SMG4 seems really out of it, often zoning out of conversations and all that. But everyone else chalks it up to the effects of 'ITS GOTTA BE PERFECT' and all that.

Dead Meme Travel Service

Mario and Meggy, after accidentally releasing a bunch of dead memes from the Graveyard, are sent by SMG3 to go find them. But something seemed off about 3. He was muttering at times and almost seemed like a robot..

Mario's International

Mario gets roped into Interpol. Somehow. There's a few cutaways to SMG4 whenever Mario is in trouble and the Guardian.. isn't looking too hot. He keeps on 'zoning out'.

SMG4's Free Day

Everyone thinks that getting SMG4 out of the newly rebuilt castle may help him out. It does! Until the end of the episode, where for a second, we see his pupils flash to the arrows of his USB.

The Coding

The episode where everything goes to shit. We witness SMG4 get factory reset and beg Mario to find the USBs before being reset. Hoping that SMG3 is okay, Mario goes there with 4 in tow, only to see that 3 is now also factory reset. The episode is mostly Mario trying to reel the two of them in and not just go ham on everything that's a 'threat'.

Please Wake Up

The gang goes to SMG1 & and SMG2, desperate for answers. They're shocked to see that these two haven't been factory reset, and it's alluded to the fact that their USB might not have given the Coding (Singularity) any permission. The two SMGs tell them that their best bet is to find 3 and 4's USBs. Just as they do, the two of them being to wake from the factory reset. Singularity also strikes, taking the two Guardians and dragging them away.

War Of The Fat Italians 20XX

Basically the same until the challenges are done. SMG4 and SMG3 have been under the control of Singularity this whole time, and it's been speaking through them. Everyone is unaware of the fact that the USBs are watching. When time comes for the rap battle, it's Mario desperately trying to convince Singularity while the rest of the gang are focused on getting it's ass and getting 3 and 4. 3 and 4 would basically be arguing against anything said by Singularity. Mario sneaks off towards the end of the rap battle, leaving Luigi to take his place. All hope seems lost until an arrow designed to shut down coding like Singularity is suddenly shot into his chest, and the shooter is revealed to be Mario. The two USBs can be seen behind him, death staring at Singularity. But both seem.. a little mournful.

The episode ends with everyone reunited and happy, and Mario stubbornly refusing to leave SMG4 because of the stress scream.

The episode where Lil Coding gets introduced! It can be seen following everyone through the tree and all that, and sometimes, there are even scenes that cut to them following. It kinda misleads the viewer into thinking it's a threat, when in reality it's just a code kitty wanting to be friends :D

Mario Goes To The Pharmacy

Everyone's come down with a bad cold except for Mario, and now he has to go get them medicine. Though he.. doesn't exactly know how and isn't the most reliable. While he's away, Lil Coding is earning everyone's trust by caring for them while Mario's away.

The Motorboat Race

By some ungodly means, Mario has gotten himself roped into a motorboat race. Problem is, he doesn't have one. So what does he do? Asks Lil Coding to help him get one, roping the little one into his antics. It goes as well as you expect.

Lil Coding's Cooking Show

When Lil Coding decides to make breakfast in bed for SMG4! It spirals out of control when Mario decides to join in and make the best breakfast for his best friend! The kitchen becomes a huge mess, but they end up making SMG4 a nice breakfast, so that's what matters.

The Rainy Day

It's raining out in the Mushroom Kingdom, and it's actually not too bad! Heavy enough to make puddles but light enough to warrent people going out with umbrellas and raincoats. Mario decides to take Lil Coding out, and after doing some heavy convincing, he ropes SMG3, SMG4, and Meggy into it.

Mario Tries To Get Rid of Nightmares

SMG4 has been having some pretty bad nightmares ever since the incident with Singularity. Mario, with Meggy, Bob, and Fishy Boopkins, decide to figure out ways to help him. Meanwhile, Lil Coding realizes all he needs is some platonic TLC.

The Bet

Despite it sounding serious, it's just Mario making a bet with SMG4 that he can go a whole day without messing a single thing up. Lil Coding is bribed by both SMG4 and Mario with grapes to help them out. Ultimately, SMG3 shows up and bribes Lil Coding with enough grapes to backstab both of them. The betrayal,,,

Double Mario?

One of E.Gadds' inventions accidentally spilts Mario into two; his old, smart self and his new, stupid self. The whole episode is the team trying to wrangle them up so they can be fused back together. Lil Coding is present, but doesn't have much of a speaking role.

SMG4 Gets Bitches?!

Episode where Lil Coding decides that SMG4 is its dad! Mario happens to overhear this conversation but doesn't realize it's Lil Coding. Leading to many, many hilarious misunderstandings.

Two Idiots Need To Train More

SMG4 and SMG3 both realize that they really need to train their abilities more, but SMG1 and SMG2 aren't available at the moment. (Foreshadowing for the beginning of The Burden Arc). So, it's decided that Lil Coding will help them! Despite being a kid in every way, the coding does a good job! But of course, Mario is being himself and they have to deal with him.

Everyone suspects that Lil Coding is having nightmares, as it's getting less and less sleep. From its perspective, we can see the eyes, similar to the ones from 'ITS GOTTA BE PERFECT', watching it always. The resolution to this episode doesn't happen as the eyes pressure Lil Coding into not saying anything.

How To Get Info From A USB

It's a very lore heavy episode. It focuses on SMG3 and SMG4, along with a bit of Lil Coding, as they got to the USBs to find out more about their origins. The USBs explain all that they can to them, being completely honest in the fact that it was partially their fault for the Efficiency Arc. Relations become slightly strained before being repaired

Mirror Mystery

The giant mirror has been completely shattered, and SMG4 is starting to suspect that Lil Coding might be involved because of how nervous it's acting. Many shenanigans later, we see from Lil Codimg's perspective of Mirror, its stone statue self. Its freak out makes 4 realize something isn't right, and he does his best to talk to it. Despite it not being able to tell him, it manages to promise it will at some point.

The Foe Show 20XX!

SMG4, SMG3, and some of the others are kidnapped and forced to watch, in real time, holograms of their past enemies fighting Lil Code. The power Lil Coding has is shown here, but we also see the first signs of trouble; Lil Coding overheating and struggling to stay awake after all the fighting.

A Normal Game Of Uno

You know the drill, this is anything but normal. As the gang plays, however, Lil Coding seems to get progressively more.. out of it. Not dazed but finding it hard to concentrate due to their body aching, for some strange reason. When they excuse themselve to nap, we see ominous foreshadowing of the upcoming horrors as Lil Coding's shadow shows Singularity's eyes before vanishing.

The Day It Returned.

Lil Coding is sick, and no one knows it, but it's Singularity's code trying to find a way out while abiding by the rules. Unfortunately, Mario says the command 'burst' unknowingly, causing Lil Coding to release Singularity from its body. It's coding forces itself into emergency shutdown, and everyone is forced to flee to the USBs. There, they come up with their plan to hide where they first fought it before heading back to the USBs.

Google, How Do You Hide From A Villianous Code?

Montage of the gang hiding underground, having multiple close calls with Singularity, and Lil Coding gradually getting better. Lil Coding learns of what happened during the Efficiency Arc and becomes more resolved to not let history repeat. Once the two weeks are up, they leave their underground base and head to the USBs. There, it's revealed that killing Singularity would kill Lil Coding, as Singularity purposely linked them together. The episode ends here.

Mario Tries Coding

Everyone, obviously not wanting Lil Coding to die, does their best to come up with different ways to take down Singularity. Mario tries his hand at coding a new arrow that would harm Singularity but not Lil Coding. Admist this all, Lil Coding sneaks out. This is only realized towards the end, when SMG4 is looking for it and everyone comes to the horrible realization it managed to sneak out.

The Burden You Must Bear

It's a movie episode instead of a WOTFI. Focuses on the gang trying to stop Lil Coding from sacrificing itself while Lil Coding becomes more and more resolved to do so. This all culminates at the climax. Lil Coding manages to hold everyone in place with its coding and is tearfully thanking them for everything they've done, for accepting it into their family, for being nothing but kind, and for giving it the best life it could ever ask for. It antagonizes Singularity into grabbing it before overloading its code, destroying Singularity and turning itself to stone.

I didn't really like the idea of SMG4 mentally breaking from this, so I decided to change it to him being in denail for a while before accepting that it's gone. On the day he accepts this, the stone statue cracks and breaks, revealing Lil Coding inside of it, with all of its memories intact. The end. :)

Ok but how has no one talked about how good the crew would be in an Avatar: The Last Airbender universe?

Max is a waterbender.

Takao is an airbender.

Rei is an earthbender.

Kai is a firebender.

Hiromi and Professor are just nonbenders to me, so done with bender problems and their stupid antics.

Max comes from the Northern Water Tribe. His favorite thing to do is surf and just wander off alone, worrying his parents (especially his dad). He was not able to befriend kids his age because of his neurodivergence and how sickly he always was. His parents' connections saved his life and turned his hair permanently white.

He would have tanner skin than his original since his dad is from the watertribe. His mom would definitely still be white, making her an outsider. He hates wearing all the fluffy skins and layers his parents force on him so they often hang around his waist.

His mom is a nonbender and his dad is a waterbender. They usually argue because of their differences, but really do appreciate one another and Max. Their greatest fear is Max dying prematurely.

Takao is an airbender who did not want to shave his hair despite being a bit of a prodigy. he often has to downplay that fact about him since he really likes his hair long.

His grandpa is his teacher and often scolds him for not cutting his hair or getting the traditional tattoos. His grandpa is a nonbender though and married an airbender. His son happened to be an airbender and passed that onto Takao.

Takao is beloved by everyone. He is the sweetest kid and greets everyone with a big grin. Despite all this, Takao longs to travel the world like his dad and brother but fears leaving his grandpa all alone.

Rei is an earthbender in a small village. He grew up learning earthbending with his childhood friends. His desire to grow and learn more made him leave them all behind. He meets Takao on his journey and offers to take him with. That is how it all begins.

Rei hated being constricted to only a small part of the world. He loves travelling and meeting such different people like Takao, Max, and Kai. He first travelled only in the Earth Kingdom before going to Takao's hometown. He sometimes misses home but enjoys the freedom of travel a lot more.

Kai is firebender nobility. His grandpa works for the corrupt government and let his grandson travel, knowing he will come back to continue his lineage. Kai often encountered Rei on his travels since they both happened to be travelers.

Kai really hated being a part of nobility. He did not like his strict routine and learning how to be a noble. He wants to train to be the strongest bender ever.

He has always travelled solo until he joined Rei, Takao, and Max. He is a bit awkward in groups and doesn't realize that going off on his own is worrying. Group cuddles were very weird since he did not regulate his own temperature, but they're the best when he learned too. He secretly does like them.

disclaimer: i am very ill thanks to a medication allergy mishap earlier today, so if this is more ramble-y than usual, i apologize! it has been a rough week health-wise, but for that same reason this couldn't have been better timed. silly guy mephiles is like 1/2 of what my brain is laser focused on rn to get me through it apparently. that said, this definitely got a bit longer than i expected,

that's the catch: they don't currently have hobbies (if you don't count being an eccentric goofball). at least, it's difficult to explore new ones on account of being physically tied to semi-modern shadow.

so i'll start there: their relationship is a tenuous one at best. semi-modern doesn't fully trust them. some part of him expects mephiles to slip back into old ways, or to find out they've just been faking the amnesia the whole time. standard tropey stuff like what happened with Mr. Tinker in IDW. and similarly, mephiles is in fact Not Faking It.

on the flipside, it's hard to tell if mephiles is actually bothered by this trend of distrust everyone seems to show them. outwardly, they just roll with/don't even acknowledge it. inwardly, one might be right to assume they've tethered themself to semi-modern's literal shadow specifically to ensure they have at least one guaranteed person to fall back on. people aren't exactly wrong to be cautious of them, either. they are uncanny and unsettling in every way. and when i said shadow's basically their hostage, i wasn't entirely joking.

but shadow's not stupid. mephiles may not remember being a god, but the entitlement and sense of constant attention is burned into their existence. while their methods are usually harmless and subtle if not just silly, they take what they want. shadow knows this, but he lets it slide because ultimately there's no harm being done, and at least this way, he's able to keep tabs on them more easily.

that said, i'd not say they're unfriendly with each other. shadow tolerates their antics, but not begrudgingly. he just thinks they're odd, and occasionally embarrassing. mephiles meanwhile is just having a grand ol' time, all the time. they don't push their luck with shadow and intentionally annoy him, but they generally do whatever, however they want to. even if on average they can't be farther away than four blocks or so, it's not uncommon for semi-modern to turn a corner and find them hosting a tea party with some stranger surrounded by a bunch of shadowy minions.

tea tends to be a recurring theme with them, if just because i'm pulling from various mephistopheles interpretations as inspiration, with a little bit of mad hatter/sheogorath thrown in for good measure. they're meant to be this wacky goofball on the surface, less because they're ~off their rocker~, and more because they're a timeless god that has no concept of/regard for what mortals consider "normal". underneath it, they're suppressing a desperate need/fear.

they want company. what's a good way to get company? you have one of your shadowy minions shepherd some unwitting soul toward a table you've just made out of thin air and serve them tea and snacks. nevermind that this poor person now probably feels pressured into staying put thanks to all the other minions circled around acting as butlers. sometimes it's a genuine attempt to connect to someone. sometimes they're just lying to themselves. they have company now; they're not letting go of it easily.

even then, they're not aggressive or intentionally threatening. it's spooky as hell, sure, and definitely manipulative, but if the person were to try to leave, mephiles would ultimately let them go if an insistent "stay, stay!" doesn't work. at that point they just return to shadow and sulk.

my absolute favorite thing about them is that more often than not, they really do mean well. their motivations might be terribly selfish, but they're not always aware of those motivations themself, so it's all done innocently. they say or do some truly unsettling things that come off as thinly-veiled threats, but in reality they're just being sincere in a blunt way. (which is not to say they're faultless; the whole "lowkey using shadow/holding him hostage" isn't exactly great and i'm not going to claim it is, even if things turn out alright.)

in any case, the two share a mind link of sorts. whether mephiles is physically in semi-modern's literal shadow, or blocks away, they're able to communicate more or less telepathically. oftentimes if shadow looks like he's spacing out or brooding more than usual, he's literally just talking to mephiles (and occasionally maria). i'd liken mephiles's approach to conversation in this way to a pleasantly annoying friend who texts you memes or random thoughts from out of nowhere.

and so, while shadow views their relationship with cautious neutrality if with a bit of stubbornly-ignored fondness, mephiles is a bit more attached, even if they don't consciously realize it. it's a bit like the very early dynamic between second chance shadow and metal; they're in contact a lot due to circumstance, and that naturally leads to the two warming up to each other over time. (they're not nearly as close, though, and likely never will be.)

should semi-modern be threatened in a way he can't get himself out of alone, mephiles is very likely to pop out of his literal shadow and assist in some way, if not teleport them both out to safety. i'd even go so far as to say they're a bit protective of him. they just don't realize that's the case until something's actively happening to warrant those protective feelings.

i actually intend to cook up a scenario like this to kickstart shadow's acceptance that mephiles is genuinely not malicious anymore, and for mephiles to come to terms with the fact they genuinely care about shadow as more than just "convenient company". and hopefully that will in turn lead to mephiles having a bit more freedom, where they start to branch out with physical copies/extensions of themself to explore different interests and the like.

i mentioned it in an earlier post, but future interests might look something like taking a more genuine approach to tea. even if they themself can't drink it, they can look into making their own unique blend based purely on the science(?) of it. how they approach interacting with people may also develop along with it, making things a lot less spooky and instead just kind of purely eccentric/left field.

they could take up acting, an instrument, generally anything related to the arts. hopefully not anything to do with high-stakes gambling like their namesake was so known for (though iirc theatre was also something associated with him, so i'm trying to strike a balance there, too).
