i stumbled upon your magnus opus fic today and i genuinely could not put in down until i finished it, it is truly a masterpiece and it took me back to the days where i would hopelessly look for more mlp eg content that wasn't afraid to mix in some dark stuff in, since it genuinely had so much potential with all their character development. also my fav ship being the MAIN ship and it being a slow burn also made it one of my top 5 fav fics of all time. The Art was also so impressive and it gave the fic such a great added quality, especially to really picture all of the girls.

Everytime this blog is turning more an more into a venting blog i swear...

To be honest at first I did liked Studio Chizu's most recent film 'Belle', however I cannot stop thinking about that first trailer that I saw back in late 2020 and how after watching it I was so hyped expecting an original take on the classic "Beauty and the Beast" tale, heck how the trailer put together the scenes of U with Belle and Dragon gave me the impression the story would follow similar beats to the Disney's film.

I thought "a Mamoru Hosoda film that takes on the story of beauty and the beast in a modern setting and his crazy ass fixation with alternative digital realities? Sign me the fuck in!"

After watching the film I cannot say I didnt like it, the film was still a visual and musical marble and the message and story is quite sweet, even if the delivery felt a bit wonky imo, there were some scenes that felt they were there just to make the film look artsy and just slowed the pace, also I wish there was more time to focus a bit more on how Suzu/Belle developed a bond with Kei/Dragon, because that whole "I sing him a pretty song and suddenly we're buddies" may have looked and sounded amazing but now that I objectively think about it there really is a lack of genuine bonding interactions between characters to actually make me care about anyone besides Kei and his little brother, even Suzu's only important relationship during the movie is with her friend Hiro and that is because she's in the Dragon's quest as well...

Ugh, sorry if my rant is messy, its difficult to really point down some stuff that really frustrated me from an otherwise very visually pleasing movie (heck lately I've constantly going over my fav scenes to get inspo for drawings) at the end I did think is a GOOD movie, but because that bloody trailer gave me such a strong Disney Beauty and the Beast, vibe I really tought I would see an original take on the tale, which again I did liked the flick after a watch, however cannot help feeling a bit cheated on at the end...

heyyy it’s me again!! so u obv don’t have to respond to this if u don’t want to cuz i don’t wanna clog ur blog but since u asked about it: i guess my favorite thing about the vb au would just be the way you’ve redone the relationships between each character!! like honestly with the team itself i’m so curious what would be going thru their heads during a game and how they would have to rely on each other, and i love that they all have to kinda earn each other’s trust (since aside from sugar and brittany everyone is meeting for the first time if i remember correctly? i could be completely wrong ahh) and bond as a group. i also adore the furtana friendship 😭 it warms my heart. santana and finn having known each other since childhood just like, makes a lot of sense for them and i don’t think i’ve seen that done before, so its really cool!! my other favorite thing has gotta just be how u draw everyone. like, i know that’s not an au exclusive thing but ur art style is so cool!! i love the way u color eyes, they always pop and it’s a really cool detail. u also are really good with like, dynamic poses? idk if i’m making sense cuz i don’t really know anything about art, but when u draw movement it always looks natural and like there’s weight behind it? anyway i love everything about the vb au and i think u are an incredibly creative person for being able to come up with it all. also congrats on the redbubble!! sorry if this is long, again pls don’t feel like u have to respond to this i just didn’t wanna leave u hanging. sorry this is a mess, have a good night!!

adlkhf anon listen,,, i may be trying to not clog my blog too much but i can never resist rambling about vb au,,,,,, especially with such an enthusiastic ask! ill just slap some thoughts under the keep reading for anyone who's interested but just know that u gave me a lovely burst of motivation to actually work on the fic!!! admittedly my school semester has just started so who knows how writing will go but ill be working on the outline later :)))

anyway the character dynamics!!!! they're so fun to think about and i love them all! ur right about britt n sugar being the only ones who knew each other properly before joining the team so their dynamic is already set and wildly chaotic, but quinn and tina both know of e/o and of the britt/sugar duo bc they've seen e/o in tournaments :) so a lot of the main relationships on the team are developing at different speeds and from different starting points! which does make it kinda hard for me, a clown, trying to balance all of them lmao but it's still really fun and i'm so pumped to draw all of them together

as for furtana! my beloved! i'm assuming the reason there are so few close finntana dynamics in fics is bc of the whole outing debacle... which is very valid.... but that's why aus are so fun right? finn and santana are 2 of my faves so exploring a world in which they grew up together just kinda came naturally to me. especially when u look at their s4 interactions bc they've clearly bonded and care about e/o, even if we don't get to see the extent of it :) and then adding kurt to the mix,,, they're all dumbasses in their own ways so the resulting dynamics are really entertaining! i love imagining the sheer chaos that comes from them juggling a max of 2 brain cells between them,,, but there's also so much love there and that's easily my fav part!!! i could gush about them for so long adjshfjksdg

to sum things up im so incredibly grateful for ur enthusiasm about this au! im ridiculously passionate about it so knowing that other people like it too makes me all giddy sdkfhs and just know that u are very welcome to drop in my inbox and talk about it some more :)

yes! actually about 90% of my clothes are thrifted, I’m poor (my whole family is poor) so I have thrifted or received hand-me-downs for my whole life :) and I am not ashamed of admitting that I’m poor either, my family is very hardworking (even if you aren’t u are still valid, poor people are not at fault of the situations we are in.) I just live in the U.S. and capitalism is a desease. 

pink: what’s your natural hair color?

idk what is up, but my natural hair color has changed throughout my life, when i was born it was dark brown and then lightened to medium brown. then in late elementary to early middle school it changed to like golden brown/dirty blond whatever tf and then later in high school it became medium brown again and then now it is a grey-ish (?) mousy brown i think its called. but my hair is bleached blond almost all the time bc i like the way it contrasts with my dark bushy brows :)

uh i used to see a lot of it around when the anime first aired but i never caught the name or watched any of it but it seemed interesting enough. by the time i felt like watching i couldn’t remember anything and whenever i’d search ‘boy idol anime’ it would only really bring up i7, which.... wasn’t what i was actually looking for.

Then shining live happened and a friend at school introduced me to it. i got hooked since they seemed familiar since it was “that anime i remember seeing around” and was ‘love live but boys’. Now i lov so so much ;_;

well, a little me who cried, complained, whinged, ate me out of a single mum budget weekly, never slept, but gave me the strength to keep going.

Without him, really, I don’t know if I would have pushed on through to see the beauties of the world I have, or meet the wonderful people I now call home.

After a divorce your not ever really the same, are you... u become a little crazy, a little more eccentric, your patience thins, or becomes none existent let’s be real, and the things you thought you enjoyed doing, well, did YOU ever enjoy them, or was it him 🙄 who enjoyed them, and you where happy because he was. because I don’t really get much pleasure from those things anymore.

You become thicker skinned

A little more senile

But you do eventually become a better version of the old you, you once knew.

Your days feel longer, now filled with more work.

And well, your nights are filled with thoughts.

Your routine now as a single mummy is endless.

I use to stare at bills only to cringe and quickly hide them away in the draw, because we all have that one draw that’s like the the Bermuda Triangle- never to be seen again... oh, well damn it Ron! Postman just dropped the reminder your bill is overdue in the mailbox. 

Or the MUMMA, I’m aaaawake- barely eyes open to stare at your bright phone screen to see 5:30am.

And don’t get me started about the day naps, why can’t my nails ever dry while his sleeping. These where my days and nights after the divorce.

The silent of the nights where the loudest tho, thats when my mind traveled to the past, questioning how did i get to my present. And although we all know you wouldn’t change your little handful bundle of light, you still do try and remember you before them. What YOU enjoyed, what made YOU laugh, who YOU saw when starring in the mirror, for a split moment you just want to remember YOU.

I remember back in 2010 I went to see sex and the city2, I was single, vibrant, 24, not yet a mummy and had the world at my feet, career driven and happy.

But there was this one scene that forever stuck in my mind. Charlotte goes and locks herself in the pantry and starts to cry, tears of all types of emotions running through her and flowing out her eyes, that I finally now understand why, she feels so guilty for these tears because she longed for a family. I watched this scene and looking back now I want to punch myself in the face for my smug thought,

I thought, omg Charlotte, who by the way was my fav character, I thought how over dramatic, how hard can it be, you even have a nanny.

Ironically enough, thoughts do turn into reality because 9 years later I have locked myself not only in other people’s pantry’s, but bathrooms, bedrooms, even the car for fuck sake, just to have a moment to have my ugly Kim k cry and yell at the top of my lungs, whhhhyyy meeee!! sometimes even at the smallest things like my son spilling milk just as iv finished mopping. “Sorry mumma” as little foot steps run down the hall oblivious to how long it actually took me to get around to mop. I remember crying in my bathroom, holding in the sound and saw my little ones fingers under the door, he said... mummy... mumma... MUUUUMMMA. Prompt: Umm I love the "Peter goes on a field trip to SI and proves his internship" trope so if u could write one of them in around 1000-1500 words that would be great!!! I don't mind what happens or how it happens but they are my fav sooo yeah thx a lot!!!!

Peter Parker was on his way to the Stark Industries. It wasn't his first time, but the jitters wouldn't die down, no matter how hard he tried. He was packing his backpack, and thoughts of seeing Mr. Stark again ran through his mind in flashes.

There wouldn't be any reporters this time, he hoped. Happy would probably be delighted to see him back. And maybe, just maybe, he could get Mr. Stark to sign his Iron Man collectible— the one that was in mint condition.

"Peter! Hey, how's yo- where did you get that collectible from, dude? That's sick! Are you gonna get him to sign it?" Ned interrupted, watching Peter hastily dump the collectible into his backpack to avoid further interrogation. Ned chuckled at the sight of a flustered Peter, and clapped him on his back approvingly. "I was just kidding, dude. Let's get going, eh? I guess Mr. Stark's getting antsy about meeting his favourite Avenger."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Ned."

The area was enormous. In fact, saying that it was enormous would actually be an understatement. Peter wondered if the place had a Google maps of its own, or at least a tour guide. He ran his sweaty fingers through his brown locks, hoping that he wouldn't come across as a weird fanboy when Mr. Stark took over.

The students met Happy at the entrance and needless to say, Peter's face lit up at the sight of a familiar face. Dressed sharply in a suit, Happy greeted the group with a warm smile, his eyes twinkling as soon as he recognised Peter Parker. The kid had to be protected at all costs, and his eyes darted towards the note he held in his hands. Stark better have something good planned, Happy thought.

He showed them around the widespread campus and entertained a myriad of questions from the hopeful individuals. Happy introduced the group to the major infrastructural regions, and while the rest of the students stared in awe at the magnificence of the Stark Industries, he winked at Peter, and cheekily handed him a note.

"Is that for me?" Peter asked, grasping the folded paper firmly between his fingers. Happy nodded assertively, and continued to lead the group towards an array of facilities on the campus.

Hey kid,

Meet me in my office as soon as Happy hands this to you. It will be impossible for me to come down there, but I have to discuss something important with you.

Peter knocked apprehensively on the flawless wooden door, and jumped back in surprise when it opened immediately.

He grinned at the sight of a posh Tony Stark, and replied, his voice suddenly cracking, "Hey Mr. Sta-"

"Kid! It's so good to see you again, and yes, this is going to be quick because I have to run to meetings after this", Tony said, and turned around to show him the one thing that he had spent months creating. He drew the velvet curtains, because he's definitely extra, and revealed the finished prototype.

"Wow."

"Kid, is it fine? Does it fulfill everything you asked for? It's taken me time, but it's everything I could have possibly added."

"Mr. Stark, I love it! It's so cool, and what's even more amazing is that you and I have matching suits now!"

Peter ran his fingers over the breathable material, unable to take his eyes away from the updated suit that Mr. Stark had designed. Tony failed to suppress his smile at Peter's words. "But Mr. Stark? What about your suit? Did you update that too? You know, after everything that happened. I don't wanna lose you, especially after that stunt in New York and-"

Crash.

Peter turned around quickly to see Tony on the ground, clutching the edge of the wooden table for dear life. He remembered his words, and gasped. "Mr. Stark, I am so sorry, I didn't realize I said it. Please, just, take a deep breath. I'm so sorry, Mr. Stark, I swear I didn't mean it, please just let me make it up to you-"

Tony simply nodded, trying to breathe deeper and at a slower rate. The kid did not realize it, and it's not his fault. He was just concerned. But nevertheless, he mentioned it. Yeah, but he wanted to take care of you, Tony.

Peter put his arm around Mr. Stark helped him sit up straight, whispering, "I just wanted you to be okay, dad." Tony looked at the Spiderling with a curious but glassy gaze. Had he really called him dad? Was he hallucinating this?

The phone rang. Tony's gaze drifted over to the telephone, fully aware of the fact that he was in no condition to answer it. Peter looked at Mr. Stark decisively, and picked up the phone.

"Hello? No, this is Peter. Peter Parker. I'm afraid he's a bit occupied at the moment. Mr. Stark will be there in some time. You can have the documents sent to his office."

Peter rang up Happy and told him about what he had accidentally done, all without mentioning 'New York'. Happy directed him through the procedures and the steps he should take, and Peter complied without cross questioning him.

A smile tugged at the ends of Tony's lips as he observed the Peter corresponding to something he wasnt trained for previously. It was clear to him that Peter would make a fantastic addition to Stark Industries, and that he truly deserved to be here.

After all that Peter had been through and had put up, he did not only deserve the internship, but also the title of being an Avenger.

Tony gave in and smiled, putting an arm around Peter and hugging him gently. "Thanks ki- son." A flustered but content Peter grinned from ear to ear, not wanting to let go of this moment.

Tony saw the silhouette of someone behind Peter and reacted immediately by putting his arm in front of the Spiderling in order to protect him. He leaned forward to see who it was and muttered quite softly, "Kid? What are you doing here?"

Peter turned his head around, contorting his face as he looked at her. "MJ?"

MJ crossed her legs to sit more comfortably and chuckled, the tip of her tongue slightly sticking out of her mouth— a sign of intense focus. Her hand movement was fluid as the pencil moved smoothly across the purposeful curves. She looked up and gave the pair a compassionate thumbs up.

"Hey guys. Sorry, I just like drawing people in crisis."

ok so lemme start with things i like which 

1). UHG??? that beach scene!!!!!!! perfect amazing perfection everything ive ever wanted???!!!!????!!!! they held hands im literally crying my hands were over my face the whole time like!!!!!!! AAAAAA so that was great

2). i........ like temple. even tho i got spoiled about him being a villain  i still thought the reveal was good and i have such a soft spot for smarmy yandere style “im gonna emotionally torture u :)” villains. it also probably doesnt help that i love and miss church so hes a fun stand in on that front AS WELL AS a stand in as tuckers new evil boyfriend now that felix is a pancake

2.5). unrelated but did we get confirm on felix being dead??? he aint dead til i see a body jussaiyin...

3). i have mixed feelings on church coming back that ill get into but church is maybe my favorite character so ultimately i view that as a plus?

4). i really put this one off cuz i was still reeling over this newest episode but all the potential grif development (and by extension red team development as a whole) that looks like its gonna happen this season has got me bittin the pillow like i kid u not im on the edge of my seat fam

ok but like. now onto the real shit. (THIS GOT SO LONG SHIT)

the one thing that is really REALLY holding me back from fully enjoying this season is wanting to know what the crews fuckin intentions are with this show. like. im gonna go ahead and put my hat on the fuckin table or whatever but season 13 was an ending. it was  good fucking ending too (and i know someones gonna go back and pull up receipts of me a year or so ago begging for a continuation season after s13 ended but dont do that pls) and to continue after an ending like that with a time skip like that makes this whole season feel like an epilogue to me? like a clean up? like there were some loose ends were tying up.

like. if theyre serious about this season and about ALL these new characters theyre bringing up then were looking at an arc here. like its gonna have to be to bring this to a proper close after all this extra shit?? they cant comfortably bring this to a close in one season

like what are they planning????whats the point of all this????

i honestly wouldn’t even  be so bent out of shape about it all, like it wouldn’t seem like such a stretch but the fact that we’re introduced to this season with dylan, who is also, largely, framed as a main character this season. who is. a new character. :/

like i get the narrative tool of using a reporter to drag your characters out of retirement for “one last job” (again, kinda framing it to be one season which worries me!) but whyyyyyy do we have to go through all this stuff with dylan and jax??????? like W H Y do we have to go through the same relationship development we’ve seen like three times already?????? jax is characteristically indistinguishable from caboose, so like???? weve seen this before!! the cold cynical “i dont need friends im just doing my job” person getting frustrated by having to deal with the idiot heart-of-gold tagalong who refuses to hate them no matter how mean or terrible they are like?? we saw it with church and caboose. we saw it later with wash and caboose. we saw it with church and caboose againnnnnnnn. we even kinda saw it with tucker and palomo!!!!! like whats the point of repeating this scene again and again!!!! we get it cynical mean assholes deserve unconditional love too i guess!!!!

like i just cant really get into it. and i dont even really mind dylan like i like her a lot more than i initially thought i would but i already can pretty much see the direction her character arch is going so im just sorta like shrug. shes gonna push jax until he leaves and then...........only then..........will she learn how much she should have valued his unconditional love.................even if he annoyed her and they didnt get along objectively in any way shape or form. but since he likes her then its her job to reciprocate even if she doesnt get anything out of the relationship at all. also she shot him. but whatever their friendship is beautiful (didnt know i had this much salt over this particular subject lmao whoops)

ok so narratively i only see two reasons to do this and im not crazy about either

1). theyre building up to draw some parallels between dylan and like wash or church or s/t but again i dont see the reasoning like why is this season framed around teacher dylan an important lesson about friendship you brought the show back from the jaws or death to give my a character arc for a new character????

2). this its more significant than it seems (i.e. theyre not who we think they are, i mean, its pretty suspicious we only have jax’s stage name rn) like theyre more significant players than we’ve been led to believe

(((also also im with grif on the whole bringing church back thing lmao. like WE DID THIS ALREADY??? there were a lot of AI why dont we ever go on an epic quest to save any of my other favs like oh idk TEX?????????!!!!!!!!!???????)))

but really tho my real and true problem is that i cant tell why theyre still making episodes. is it because theres still a story here that needs to be told or just because they can. and i know my hangup with this mostly stems from one interview i saw after s13 ended with miles and burnie where burnie pretty much said “yea if i had it my way uh i would end it here but hey it is what it is :/” and that just sorta struck a cord with me. maybe because he was a writer and one of the original people who created it i was sorta uncomfortable with taking the show places he didnt want to take it (and i could be TOTALLY off base with this assessment!!!! like i dont know how burnie really feels about this show rn he could be totally digging the new stuff this is just a personal things thats a hangup in just my own head!!!!)

ok so i think i covered pretty much everything i needed to say about this season so far if you actually read this far thanks if u gave up and skipped to the end then i have one last food for thought:

im gonna be the huge stick in the mud who says it: people are putting way too much faith in a company that is still using donut to make cheap gay jokes by actually thinking grimmons is going to become canon and im sorry that youre going to be disappointed. what we are going to get is a unsatisfying reunion and subsequent make up a la church and tucker in s12 and thats it.

thats not what i want to happen thats what i believe will happen. i am FULLY prepared to eat my own hat if im wrong. you may consider this text post legally binding

101 Dragon Age Questions

How did you get into Dragon Age? A friend of mine got a Bioware bundle I think, and gave me Origins.

Have you finished all three games? Nope, Currently starting Trespasser and at the beginning of DA2 (finished Origins)

How long did it take you to finish the series? I can say it took me around 50-ish hours to finish Origins and I’m currently at 105h on Inquisition.

What was your first Warden (gender/class/race/personality)? Curiously enough, it was a female mage elf. But since you can’t marry Alistair with that warden, I started a new game with a Warrior Female Human, Ellyah Cousland. Personality wise, I usually go for the dork sarcastic and maybe a tiny violent dialog. I can’t really remember, it was 2 years ago :T

What was your first Hawke like (gender/class/temperament)? First Hawke was a male mage, I actually forgot his name, with the sarcastic temperament. Best.Hawke.Ever

First Inquisitor (gender/class/race/personality)? Mage \female (my headcanon, they are agender but we have to choose one so YEH)\, again with the sarcasm violent dork. Also another headcanon, they aren’t a Lavellan, but a Mahariel (dalish origin from Origins), but that’s another story.

Favorite DA:O backstory? I only played the dalish mage and the noble warrior, so I’m going with the second one.

Preferred class overall? Mage. I wish they were stronger ;_;

Do you tend to play male or female characters most? Good question. I’d say it’s 50/50. Right now I have 2 male inquisitors created, and 1 female (let’s make it 2 then). on Origins I’ve only played female, on DA2 I’ve only played with males.

Which did you leave behind (Abyss)? Hawke. Here’s why: Anders died and I wanted him to join him in Andraste’s bosom. Besides, Strout had to restore the Wardens. 

Inquisitor’s feelings on being the Herald of Andraste? They don’t believe in it, but if the people want to, then what can they do? (aside from denying it every time)

What are your feelings on the Chantry? I’m going to skip this one sorry

What are your feelings on the Circle? Needs retirement tbh

DLC for the first 2 games: All of it, some of it, or none of it? All of them I guess? 

Favorite DLC mission overall? from the first game? I’ve only played the Shale one so I’ll go with that one, besides I love her  from da:I I loved the last part of JoH, but I’m sure Trespasser will kill me 

Favorite DA character overall? wHY.  DA:O - Alistair, Morrigan, Shale, Zevran, Barkspawn  DA2 - Anders, Merril, Isabella, Varric, Sebastian for the looks (I’m sorry I don’t know him yet), sometimes Fenris DA:I - Cullen, Samson, Solas, Bull, Sera, Harding, Cassandra, Ameridan, Dorian, Nug King, I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting someone 

Least favorite character? DA:O - Howe DA2 - hmm?  DA:I - eh

Who do you want to see return in the next game? Zevran. For sure. 

What kind of DLC do you hope for for DA4 (heh)? something about the return of the Warden?

Bloodmagic: yes or no? it’s a yay for me, my Mahariel is a bloodmage.  Again, it’s a type of magic that depends on how you use it. 

Funniest moment in the games? for starters, when you go talk to your companions on Trespasser? I cry.  The avvar-goat-situation.  The Bull x Quizzy x companions moment (yes, that one) I...can’t remember anything else

Creepiest moment in the games? BROODMOTHER 

A moment/action you regret in-game? Sentencing that stupid dude to tranquility in Inquisition. KINDA goes against what Mahariel is, BUT it’s still in character but eeh

Favorite Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor headcanons (any or all)? oH BOY HERE WE GO My Lavellan\Mahariel is in a poly relationship with Cullen and Samson :B  My Lavellan\Mahariel actually started on Origins, as a fake warden, went to DA2 and ended up helping Anders blow up the chantry and then went to the inquisition to help with Corypoopalus

Favorite non-Player Character headcanons? Samson redeems himself and continues to help mages in a legal safe way ;U; 

That One Headcanon that hurts to think about? @weirdsal ‘s Qunari dying

Fluffiest headcanon ever? OK SO HEAR ME OUT, Cullen is dozing off on a bed and Samson goes in for the cuddles and after Mahariel goes for the extra cuddles and it ends up in a pile of limbs and love and everyone is happy and they have a Mabari called Pepper
