Ohhh buddy I have THOUGHTS (This is so long, I'm so sorry)

1. I actually like Twilight better as a unicorn, she should never have became an Alicorn. (And that's coming from someone who first started watching around S5)

2. However, if Twilight becomes an Alicorn then all the Mane 6 should have been Alicorns. Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Applejack, and Rarity did just as much as Twilight! Where are their wings/horns?

(That would have been awesome for the rest of the series!)

3. You are 100% right the tree castle is horrible. It's so barren and empty and so clearly made to sell toys. The library was nice and cozy and fit Twilight perfectly.

4. I absolutely hate redeemed Starlight Glimmer. Words cannot describe how much I despise this mare. You mean to tell me Twilight would throw a child into hell but let Starlight I-broke-space-time Glimmer go?? Absolutely not.

(Sunset Shimmer is a thousand times better and everything Starlight wishes she could be)

5. I actually like that Cozy Glow doesn’t have a backstory. Sometimes villains are just evil to be evil.

That being said, they should have at least tried to reform Cozy Glow. At the bare minimum put her somewhere other than (I can't stress this enough) PONY HELL!! She's like 12 Twilight holy shit-

6. Not enough people read the G4 comics. In fact, you should stop reading this ask and go read the comics instead. Most of them are online for free. I recommend The Return of Queen Chrysalis (1-4), Reflections (17-20), and Siege of the Crystal Empire (31-34).

7. MLP G5 isn't actually that bad, but it took too long to get off the ground. By the time it went from mediocre to good, most people didn't care. (Also Hasbro got greedy and G5 paid the price, but that's a rant for another day)

Also G5 should have been it's own thing, with no ties to G4.

8. Celestia and Luna should not have retired. Celestia I can understand, but Luna? Poor Luna just got back to Earth (or whatever the planet's called), no way is she retiring like 5 years in.

9. The CMC all having the same cutie mark was dumb. (And felt like a cop-out. Let my girls be unique!) Also the cutie mark designs themselves are just the ugliest things ever. Did no one teach that designer color theory??

10. King Sombra is best villain. However they should have picked literally anyone else to voice him in Season 9. Or even have the VA do a different voice! It's not even a bad voice, it's just not King Sombra's voice.

11. The Apples and the Pies are not related. Let me ship Marble Pie and Big Mac in peace. Let people ship Applejack and Pinkie Pie in peace.

12. Sugar Belle and Big Mac are a terrible couple. Maybe they were fine off-screen, but all we see is miscommunication. The only way that marriage is ending is in divorce.

13. I actually like that EQG used pony skin tones instead of human ones. That being said, there was way too much whitewashing—just use the pony's actual coat colors. I promise you can give Luna dark blue skin and it'll be fine. (How the fuck did Habro make the character with literally white skin even whiter?? HOW?? WHY???)

14. And finally (holds up megaphone): Just because Applejack and Rainbow Dash were seen together in the end, that doesn’t automatically mean they’re a couple!!!! —Sincerely, someone who thinks AJ and Rainbow are too similar to be a couple.

Agree with this one as well. G5's issues all come from Hasbro wanting to make even more money off of G4 and not allowing G5 to be its own thing like it should have. Hasbro, a toy company, should have made way more collectible G5 merch instead of the same cheap brushables of the same 4 characters over and over. I also saw someone on twitter make a good point that the G5 show should've aired on disney+ instead of netflix since that's what most families have nowadays. truly, G5 is just a victim of corporate greed

Valentino; will immediately start bitching to her but also scoop her up and plop on the couch, maybe get some snacks and drinks as they both recharge

Vox; stays quiet - doesn’t like talking after an argument but will do something similar, maybe go into his office instead to stalk someone while having Velvette in his lap. Velvette is just there doom scrolling on her phone or taking a nap while Vox rubs her back

Whoever Velvette runs into first - she can sense the argument happened. So once she’s recharged and taken care of herself - she’ll text them something stupid like “Can’t sleep. Come here. Now.” without telling Vox or Valentino that the other one will be there - both of them go in her room and are - pissed lol

(Think of that Spongebob episode where Squidward tries to make Patrick and SpongeBob be friends again 💀)

But yeah uhmmm Velvette’s gonna 1. Address the issue directly 2. Force both Vox and Valentino to sleep with her bc she’s too tired to deal with them but will force them into the awkward situation cause she wants the entertainment

If scenario 2 happens Velvette is obviously sandwiched in between Vox and Valentino while they stare at each other angrily. Whoever speaks way too loud first gets punched by Velvette (happens multiple times) so they’re forced to quietly “discuss their issues” while Velvette is playing dumb and pretending to sleep - eventually things do work out and they all fall asleep

I totally agree with like half of what you've written - with the part taht Vox and Valentino both need someone to confide with. None of them has a lot of opportunities to be just comfortable with another person. Sure they have each other but romantic relatisohips are often more "loaded" than frienships and while they can grant deeper connection, they also generate greater tension. That's why lifelong frienships are way more common than lifelong romances.

But I don't find the idea of Velvette's infantilization appealing, sorry. She strikes me as a person who craves to be feared and respected, to the level that it feels almost like overcompesating for her young age (compared to other Overlords) and non-threatening form. I don't see why would she allow anyone, even her friends to treat her like a plushie. Especially when those friends are power hungry maniacs who nutoriously prey on people they see as weaker.

That doesn't mean I think your headcanon is wrong or bad. It just doesn't allign with my own interpretation. Which is perfectly fine, they can't even be compared in their accuracy in relation to canon because we barely have any canon. So please, don't take it personally - I love you have fun with your ideas, that's the most important part of fandom <3

You hug him, almost tearing up, because he’s just so worried about your well-being and he actually loves listening to you? He starts showing it much better and much more often too, and you just have to stop yourself from crying when he makes little additions to your rants.

what's endogenic if you don't mind me asking? i have seen that as a dni in a lot of blogs and idk what it is

note: this does get sort of ranty as i explain, sorry about that. im not upset with You or anything im just upset about the subject in general

its a term that describes systems (e.g. DID or other similar things; when theres a bunch of personalities living in the same brain) that formed without trauma being the inciting factor in them being plural. Typically, systems are formed because some traumatic incident occurred (usually in early childhood) that caused their brain to sort of section itself off for protection. great, good, whatever. a lot of people dont like the idea that systems can exist without that trauma being there. and while i can see where these people are coming from, its generally an assholeish move to deny the existence of a large swathe of people & invalidate their experiences on the basis of them not fitting their idea of what they should be.

im not a system myself, but i am friends with a few & am dating a member of a system, (both traumagenic & endogenic) and i can confidently say that people who are anti-endogenic are kind of stuck in the same mindset that transmeds/truscums are. the idea that you have to meet THIS SPECIFIC LIST OF REQUIREMENTS for your experience to be valid is dumb as hell and i simply do not agree with it. ive known endogenic systems who were presented this diagnosis by mental health professionals, which kind of proves in of itself that 1. this can happen. not every system has to be formed through trauma. sometimes people are just like that 2. to assume we know everything about the human brain and how it works is absolutely ridiculous 3. clearly, not every non-traumagenic system is faking it. which leads into my next point

a lot of people who are anti-endo think that all endogenic systems are faking it for attention (which is, of course, not true). im sure there are some people who do fake being a system, but imo, its 10000000000x worse to be an ass to a bunch of people on the basis that some of them might be faking it.

i would rather be kind to 99 people faking a disability or illness, than deny any sort of courtesy or help to the one person in that group of 100 who is genuinely disabled. and being a dick to endogenic systems falls under that most of the time. like, its kind of hard to miss when youve got a whole bunch of people milling around with you in your head, you know? and its a lot harder to keep up that act in a convincing manner

It also irks me how some of her “OG” fans (the main ones who mock and harass other fans for *their* interpretations and *their* relatability to her lyrics) claim to know her. She’s their (parasocial) bestie who would never lie to them when they don’t know her at all. She has always said her truth is in her music, yet they don’t hear her screaming to be heard and seen (i.e., Antihero stage visuals).

I was on reddit and out of curiosity typed in "Circe rant" because idk, I was feeling salty about the book.

I saw a post that had some legitimately good reasons and indicated that this is all just the person's opinion.

But when I checked the replies everyone was just disagreeing with them and being very rude?

Like, they complained about how the book doesn't feel feministic because Circe isn't that likable of a character? And then half the replies were "Uhh she's supposed to be morally gray" "I disagree, Madeline told her story very well." "What gave you the impression this book was supposed to be feministic??"

(Disregarding half the reviews on the cover are calling it a "great feministic piece")

I was kinda pissed so I went to post my own thought about why I really dislike Miller's take on Circe. And 80 present of the replies were just flaming me-

Some guy said people can interpret her anyway they want because she's not real. Someone said I should be more humble and that I just don't like Circe as a character (which is not true). And so on.

Something I've seen is that the Circe book fans are so sensitive good god- Whenever someone criticizes their book they go full defensive mode. Trying to reason with you when most of the time you're the one who actually knows more about the actual character-

They act like all of our concerns on the book actually have a reason and make sense? Honestly, props to us for being bold enough to voice our concerns on a book that basically has a cult following-

I don't recommend trying to fight with these folks. It's frustrating but they're not gonna change their mind. As they don't want to. Inform and educate sometimes especially if people ask but don't waste so much energy on it. It's not good for you. I think the book is almost like, the most "basic angry feminist shlock in a bland and easy to consume can for pre-teens" book, you know? And that's why so many people cling to it. I can see SOME people taking comfort in the anger maybe?? But idk. Anyways it has so many classic "YA shit". I hope you know that you shouldn't feel wrong for having these emotions. I get why though. When you take a step back and look at it all, it sometimes feels dumb to get so wrapped up in what internet people think about your work. That's USUALLY the narrative. But like. Don't feel bad for feeling this way. Sure, tying your self worth to people online probably isn't good, but ALSO posting art online is essentially putting a piece of yourself out there. It doesn't matter what form it takes. It could be random little halloween art blurbs. It could be deltarune. It could be original works. It could be vent art. You're putting a piece of YOURSELF into the art, and when it doesn't do what you want it to, that stuff sucks. It can be crushing. I just hope you don't judge yourself for feeling that way in the first place. And as for the art itself, I may not comment every time, but I try to when I see it. There's a personality in everyone's art, and yours really stands out to me. It's peak expressiveness I think. Every character and every little ounce of body language you put in your art tells me exactly what you're trying to convey and I love it. You've already heard me rant about some of the most recent comics. You do pretty damn good. Don't forget that.

So, drawing animals can be a challenge to some especially for people who still learning how to draw them, well this guide will teach how YOU can draw realistic animals.

NEVER make the legs straight: If you make your animal's legs straight something's wrong with this creature as if it where in permanent pain and suffering because some dumb person decided to stick metal poles in it's legs, remember almost all animal legs bend so please make their legs bend they must have 2 bends at minimum

Here, are all of the different types of leg that an animal can have from left to right, first we have Plantigrade which yeah some animals do have a plantigrade mode of walking us humans are plantigrades, but plantigrady is quite rare in animals because most prefer to be quick to avoid danger, and thus leading to Digitigrades, these animals make up a majority of all land animals because of how efficient it is and these animals differ from plantigrades because they walk on their toes and not their whole foot think your pet cat or dog which are digitigrades. Last but least are Unguligrade animals, think ungulates they are an infamous example of an unguligrade they walk on the very tips of their toes unlike digitigrades and almost all members are herbivores. Though this rule does NOT apply to aquatic creatures as they have fins instead of legs.

2. DO NOT Awesomebro them: Do I need really go into this rule? Awesomebro is usually a term used by dinosaur experts to types of people/media who usually see dinosaurs, rather than normal living animals of prehistoric times, as violent bloodthirsty monsters usually to appeal towards the general audience. Though I think this term can also be used on fictitious animals as well, this usually means shrink-wrapping, the addition of spikes, and sometimes stupidly powerful stuff like stupidly powerful venom that can kill anyone with one bite. Real animals can be just as if not even cooler than these monstrous animals that have their bones exposed and have spikes and kill everything in their path because they are heartless killers, instead of doing normal animal things like sleeping, playing, doing their uh business (that means taking a crap), eating, mating. Not everything in an animal's life is all about fighting to the death there's more of mundane things like I have listed up top, as cool as it is they too are living things. Sorry about that rant that I made

3. ALWAYS make them proportionate: Please DON'T make the animal's head like many times larger than it's body, if you have trouble with a creature's proportions you can always use references, so if you're using a feline creature you can use a cat and other felids as reference when creating it, if you're using a tyrannosaur-like creature you can use real tyrannosaurs as reference. So, you can have the most accurate proportions to an animal, I mean I am BAD at drawing arthropods but I can use reference images of Arthropods to draw an anatomically accurate one.

4. NEVER leave an animal's description as blank: This would make people ask what this animal is related to and what does it eat? This is much worse if they're on a drawing with a still pose so explaining how this animal lived would your viewers context of what their world might look like and the ecosystem they live in.

5. ALWAYS make their colors believable: Animals come in a variety of colors, though all of them are believable to a certain point, so not telling a reason as for why a certain animal of yours is vibrantly colored is like saying a certain creature is classed as something and not explaining why.

Though these rules DO NOT apply to Furries, humanoid creatures, and sapient creatures, as they are more human than animal, so they'll have their own guide. Btw these are for worldbuilding and Spec Evo, so if you just design animal just because you want to you do actually have to follow these rules, but they're there if you want it.

Now I must state I know the UCLA fic(which is literally SO amazing and well wrote) is not done and I don't believe it will be soon buttttt.. While I was washing my hair I thought of you (that actually sounds really weird- but yk what ignore that) anyways I thought of you and your wonderful writing and I thought of our most favorite pookie princess and dumb blondie and a maybe wonderful fic idea came to my head! But you see i'm a bad writer so why not turn to my favorite writer with my idea.. Okay i'll get the point now. So the time frame is like start of the 2022-23 season.. we all know about blondies acl tear and that was most likely a sad time for her which probably made it a sad time for my pookie and well bad time for people affect their personal life's such as relationships and such else. So I feel it would be a rough path in their relationship. But I feel as though a fic about them throughout that time would be such a good one. And it would obviously be depressing and what better angst writer do I follow than you! Now I don't even know if you'll see /read this but if you do this doesn't even need be a thought in your head right now. I can imagine that between the UCLA fic and your personal life that your busy and maybe distracted which is that last thing I want anyone to be. This entire assignment is bullshit. Sure we don't always get told the "why"s of our missions, but with STRIKE I know what the mission is! I'm supposed to be on surveillance, but who am I surveilling? Yeah, that's right, not only am I not looking for anyone or anything specific, I can't even know the most general of reasons to be here. Fuck every compartment of this organization.

Dream Customer (henceforth D.C.) has been back a few times now, and the most recent visit she was in the attraction when another customer fucked up. It's an indoor underwater setup, which is your only identifying info and I WILL be checking you fuckers' search histories, so be good. Anyway, some dumb fuck tried to get into an area they obviously shouldn't have and snagged their hoses. Genius, huh? Unfortunately, we aren't allowed to let fuckheads die with the consequences of their actions, so I had to go sort it out before there was an insurance hassle.

But when I got to him, D.C. was there, stopping him from moving and fucking up his gear any more, AND had managed to hold the tube in place temporarily. Fucking rockstar, she saw what I wanted to do with the emergency mask right away and helped get him untangled so I could pull him out easier. Of course, then I was stuck dealing with the asshole and paperwork on him for the rest of the shift, but I am officially fucking head over heels guys, I cannot deal with this level of competence along with looks and a decent personality. 

But of course, since I don't have any idea who the damned people of interest even are on this fucked up op, I can't actually risk asking her out for a drink, because she might end up being someone we move on! So, we're back to fucking SHIELD in all available configurations.

Glad to hear Lee's follow up procedure went well, but only because it brings me one step closer to escaping this mindfuck of an assignment. Get well soon, or else.

Had some excitement at the attraction, which I really do like and am not just stalking Robin. (More excitement than this so called assignment, I'll tell you that.) 

So it's a caving adventure of sorts (I think there's enough of those not to be accidentally identifying) and the crew gears everyone and makes them demonstrate skills before they go in (that's where I usually see Robin, though sometimes they switch roles around.) But someone ahead of me got tangled up and then made it worse panicking.

I pressed the panic button on the gear and was keeping him from flailing while trying to figure out how someone was gonna get him out without injury (it was in a narrow section) when the whole wall opened up and Robin was right there with an emergency kit.

And okay, I already liked her, even though I didn't know how much was the whole public facing persona, but we've moved up to a whole other level now. She just took charge instantly, gave quick clear directions in a really chaotic situation, and had the guy clipped to an emergency line and out of there in literal seconds. Stone cold professional in what was probably the first crisis at the attraction. I gotta ask her out, this is no longer optional.

Oh, and I put down my money on "morlocks/mole men/other underground uprising" in the new pool, cause I figured it wasn't any less likely than alien invasion but I would be one the only ones on it if it won.

Upon first impressions he would ABSOLUTELY bully your poor guy at least a little for hanging around with the nobility in Divinity's reach. Posh twat liker I am going to steal all your fancy garden plants and make them into EVIL POISONS. Ha ha!! He’d be doing that thing where he prods and pokes and just annoys people to try get a reaction, especially from well put together nobles and their acquaintances. There is nothing better than making a fool of a noble. 

Yes, he would feel insanely guilty once he saw him doing any kind of labour. He would not say that he was feeling guilty and would instead be like yeah no I am just helping you because I WANT to gosh!! I was absolutely going to do this anyway. (Is making everything worse).

Talks a lot. Would probably end up rambling to him during his time ahem, ‘helping’. If Dominic listens? And doesn’t treat him like a child? God forbid, he is getting subjected to so many words and so many rants and questions. I know you said he can be bad with long words and for that I am very sorry but Fedsy does not shut up sometimes and also does not mind if you do not understand as long as your vibes are good.

STILL GOING! Feds is also a magpie. They can spend 8 hours straight going round all the antiques stores together in Divinity’s reach. Fedsy spends HOURS in there and eventually procedures the ugliest, largest, most sickeningly shiny necklace simply because it had a dragon on it. (He has his...suspicions. Provokes him.) Its so ugly and the chain is massive but it made him think of you so r u really in a position to refuse it.  The thing is with Feds is he COULD be joking or he could be entirely genuine and you will break his heart and there is no way of knowing (he likes it this way).

Anxiety Attack Advice

Hello! I know this is probably too late for this time, but maybe it'll be helpful next time (hopefully there won't be a next time, but that's wishful thinking). I hope you're okay and feeling better now, though! :)

Well, firstly, you have the classic methods like:

- the 3-3-3 method - focus on three things you can see around you, then focus on three things you can hear around you, then focus on three things you can feel. This should help you ground you and hopefully slow your spiralling.

- breathing. It sounds dumb, I know, and it's really not easy, but you should try to concentrate on the rhythm of your breathing. Breath in through your nose for 4 seconds, then out through your mouth for 4 seconds.

- relaxing your muscles- it helps relieve stress and can stop the panic attack. Slowly unclench you hand and let your finger go limp. Then your palm. Then your wrist. Then your forearm. And so on and so on. Keep going until your whole body is relaxed and limp, then you should no longer be as stressed.

And here's some things that work for me, which may or may not make things worse for other people, so only do this if you think it may work for you:

- Distractions- find any way to distract yourself. This can include:

> putting on a vine compilation so that your brain concentrates on those and starts quoting them along, eventually leading you away from the panic.

> standing up and going to get some water or make some tea (camomile is good). It's a task that forces you to move and do things, so it forcibly pulls you back to reality. Warning though! If your hands tremble and shake, I suggest being careful with the boiling water!

> talking to someone. As a person who's really shy and hates social interaction, I find that distracting myself from anxiety with other stress is somehow helpful. Also, a conversation can help ground you, bringing you down from a high, forcing you to focus on your replies.

> stroking a pet. Running your fingers through their fur is destressing and it grounds you because it forces you to feel the fur. If you don't have a pet around, a fluffy pillow will do just as well.

> taking a look at your hand. Have you ever noticed how your fingers fold and bend when you press in specific parts of your hand? It's fun to play and mess around with. Also, once again, it makes you aware of the feeling.

> lighting a candle and focusing on the way the flames dance and move, and the quiet popping sounds the wick sometimes makes. It's a grounding device because it forces you to concentrate on the sounds and sights around you. Also, fire moves slowly, which is also relaxing.

- Ranting- rant to someone. Simply just put the panic attack into words and complain about how much it's fucking up your life. This can be irl or a written piece to someone. Just make sure someone hears it! That gets you stressing about how they'll respond and if maybe you overshared. Also, it just gets things off your chest.

- Rationalising- this sounds a lot easier than it actually is, but try to think about what caused the response. What caused this? Is this an appropriate response? What would you rather be doing right now? Is there really a good reason for this or are you just being dumb? I'm sorry! Guilt tripping just works for me.
