I just finished the game again, and I realized that when they make the next Hogwarts Legacy game… Sebastian won’t be in it! 😭😭😭

If they are making a second game, I doubt they would cut Sebastian, considering he's one of their more popular characters with a complex storyline 🥺

In my playthrough, Lyla doesn't turn him in (especially since she's seen how horrible Azkaban is and what it does to people) so I like to think Sebastian would return for his Sixth Year. He seemed pretty remorseful for what he did and determined to redeem himself. I feel a redemption arc coming on, or at least I hope so 👀

However, since his quest line can end in two ways, I'm curious to see how different his storyline will be depending on the player's choices, if at all.

Plus, I want to know what will happen with Anne. I hope they wrap up her story in a more satisfying way. Definitely wasn't expecting it to end the way it did 💔

Okay but all of the Hex Squad’s complex feelings towards the human realm?

Hunter, who heard all these stories from his uncle that he was fascinated by, who is a clone of a human (a statue of whom is literally in the town), who loves learning new things and has probably been talking to Gus. Bus instead he just saw his uncle get killed by a kid in front of him (which on its own is a lot to deal with), and then ran to the human realm, where it pretty much all started. Where he will find out how intertwined his history is with the town’s. Where he will have a near constant reminder of the town seal, the Golden Guard sigil, and the weight of that legacy. Plus the fact that Belos is probably in the human realm too, and will go after him if possible.

Gus, who spent years learning all he could about the human realm, who has a collection of human items in his room. Gus who wanted to be an ambassador to the human realm and so wanted to experience the rain. And he did, after losing everything and everyone but the hex squad. Gus who in what should have been an amazing moment playing in the rain, fell to the ground sobbing. And, he saw Belos’ memories of him killing his brother, which is traumatizing on his own, especially since he looks exactly like Hunter, which Gus is more than smart enough to figure out. And he may not know who he can talk to about it. And seeing that statue every time they go into town won’t help. Gus who every time they turn on the news, gets a reminder of his dad, who he has no idea whether he is okay or not, or when he can see him again.

Willow, who heard all about the human realm from Gus. Who probably got a bit excited about it. Who’s best friend is a human. And her entire world got turned upside down, with no idea what happened to her dads or everyone else on the isles. It was her idea to go to the human realm, and now they are stuck for who knows how long.

Amity, who’s girlfriend is a human, who gets to meet her girlfriend’s mom, and is probably nervous about it and wants to make a good impression and seem perfectly okay. Even though within two days her family fell apart, she had to leave her dying dad behind, she tried to stop the literal emperor, failed, and had to run for her life to the human realm, with no knowledge of what happened to her family or if the twins were okay since they were left behind with Odalia?. Who has no idea when she her family again, or what it will be like when she does.

And Luz. Luz who is a human, but never fit in. She was probably bullied and has no friends in the realm besides the ones she brought with her. Liz who ran away from the human realm to escape her life there. Luz who tried to stay behind with her family, but King pushed into the portal, which immediately closed behind her. Luz who promised to never go back to the only place she’s ever been happy, and thought she had much more time before she had to go back. Luz who now that she promised to stay may never see her found family again, and while she loves Camila so much and is glad to see her mom again, she misses her mom on the boiling isles, who supported her in a way Camila couldn’t. Luz who has no idea what is happening on the BI but thinks it is her fault.

I really hope they have the time in season 3 to go into this because there is so much there to unpack.

Not trying to be confrontation or rude. How is will wealthy? Like he seems p securely middle class considering his job's average income is right there at the mid of middle class. Like it's a lot compared to most service industry jobs and poverty wages but he's not descendant from royalty money or tried to raise peacocks as a kid wealthy.

I thought the show spent a lot of time establishing the differences in experience he had verses his counterparts like Dr. Bloom or Hamable or even Crawford. From clothes to housing to childhood stories and background career work. Like he's not poor any more but he's certainly not in a life of actual wealth ?

Will Graham grew up very poor, and we see those habits carried with him into adulthood. But he is wealthy by the time we see him in the show. He works for the FBI. Not just casually. He teaches people who will work for the FBI as special investigators. That is a very niche position. He also consults on cases, hired by the head of the FBI. He is making a lot more than you think he is. He also likely has hazard pay on top of that because he is dealing with serial killers. He repairs his own clothes because he is frugal by habit, and he likes fixing things and working with his hands. He also doesn't throw things away, another trait from a poor childhood. He works on boat engines because it is a skilled he learned in childhood and a hobby he enjoys. He also goes long stretches of time without working, and that goes beyond sick leave/vacation. The house he got with Molly also has INSANE property. We don't know what she makes, but that is still an expensive piece of land. It costs money to have that kind of privacy AND for it to be pretty. He doesn't dress lavishly because he doesn't want to. He doesn't want the attention, he doesn't like how fake it feels, he dresses comfortably. He still has a pretty decently sized house and HUGE property. It is surrounded by trees, presumably near a decently sized creek. That is competitive real estate. He did not inherit that property, so you know he bought it. Or at least earned enough to get a mortgage. And to get a mortgage, you need to show you have enough in savings to pay that loan off OR have a job that earns a certain amount monthly. So even if he didn't buy it outright, a bank won't loan you a lot of money if they think you can't afford it.

He also adopts any dog he sees. Having pets is expensive. Dogs have several core vaccines depending on where they live (rabies, distemper/parvo, influenza, lepto, bordetella) All of those they need because they go outside and can interact with wildlife (rabies/distemper/parvo are required regardless). Will also likely gets them vaccinated against lyme disease because the east coast has a lot of ticks, and a lot of those ticks carry lyme. Not sure about the rattlesnake situation in Virginia, but if it was of concern, I guarantee he would vaccinate them for it. Rabies/distemper/parvo are the only vaccines that can be given every 3 years (sometimes distemper/parvo is every year). The others are yearly. So that could be up to five vaccines yearly per dog. Not to mention, his dogs are in incredible health. That's one to two exams a year. Monthly flea/tick and preventative, likely annual dentals, and since his dogs go outside, they likely get minor injuries that he would take them in for. That is INCREDIBLY expensive! That doesn't even cover the cost of food! And regarding pet insurance for all the dogs, insurance is still an expensive monthly payment. And many of those dogs he just found and would likely have a lot of preexisting conditions that wouldn't be covered by insurance anyway. Still on dogs, when the Dolarhyde poisons them all, all seven are taken to emergency. ONE pet can knock out people's saving. They were kept OVERNIGHT which is extremely costly. Multiply that by seven. One dog was likely a couple thousand. Neither him nor Molly blinked an eye.

Will has wealth but he doesn't value it, he doesn't feel the need to spend it on things that don't matter. If he can fix it himself, why would he talk to a stranger to do it for him? He likes his privacy. It's not about cost. Will likes to feel useful, that is his whole schtick. Also, he can afford to drive to Baltimore whenever he has an upsetty spaghetti day, AND drive to Quantico's lab for work. Gas is expensive and so is car upkeep. Even if you change the tires and brakes and oil and shit yourself, that still is a lot of wear on tear on the car and it is expensive.

Not to mention he has a boat. The boat is small, but it is a nice boat. Having a boat like that is still a cost, even if he repairs it himself.

Middle class is considered between $46k and $126k a year. I can promise you he earns more than that. Most of it goes into savings because he doesn't care to "live rich", he sees no value in it. Now, I see "wealthy" as more subjective, but you could argue that there is a finite definition for "wealth". Will is not of the 1% but he still has a lot more money than he looks. I do think it is important not to erase his upbringing, because it does play a part in his interactions and how he spends money and treats his possessions. What someone looks like is no accurate gauge as to what their bank account holds.

And after Mizumono, I am sure his health insurance through the FBI covered medical costs, but that was a pretty swanky room. He did not have a roommate. He might have went out of pocket for that one lmao.

Also this is just me thinking and no real proof, but did they mention what Will did during the three years between Hannibal being imprisoned and going back to work for the FBI? Because if he didn't work for three years, that means he had a sexy pile of savings he was going through. Which, good for him. He needed a fucking break.

Sidenote: The average price of a grown peacock is less than $300, however, peachicks are less than $30. They are more expensive than chickens for raising, but they are not extremely expensive. Now if Alana is raising them, it is likely she started with peachicks. If she didn't care about the sex of the birds, and it was more "I want them as pets", then she could get away with the cheaper option (likely female birds). I don't know the husbandry and enclosure needs for a peacock, I imagine it is similar to a chicken but larger due to their size. So, Alana had more money than Will growing up, but I wouldn't guarantee she was extremely wealthy by any means. I don't know her backstory, but if she grew up in a small town, it is easier to get more property to raise outside animals.

HOLY SHIT VOLUME 4 WAS AMAZING????

This volume was INCREDIBLE. First of all, the overall growth in skill and quality of Alex's directorial work is astonishing, I'm so happy for him and super stoked to see where else he takes the series! The production level in this volume was honestly mind blowing. The live action scenes, the CGI, the voice acting, the concepts, all just chef's kiss.

Honestly, this volume didn't scare me that much like maybe Exhibition or Vol.333, but also this doesn't matter at all because the scenes in this episode were honestly some of the best not only from the series, but from analog horror in general.

I am so happy for the new information we have about how the BPS gang have worked together, and how the personalities of them really shined in this entry. The scene with the video of the intruder talking to Adam was, needless to say, astounding.

The big scene with Dave and Gabriel was so unfortunate. It was really sad to see Dave in a state of so much despair for what has happened and deciding to just end it all. I really didn't expect it and I hate you Alex for k wording him (/j)

But honestly, my favorite scene was the scene with Thatcher writing the letters to Ruth. It was so we'll made. It made me so emotional, the pain and guilt Thatcher has endured for the past 17 years truly shows and it's heartbreaking. The writing is phenomenal and I'd be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear or two.

TL;DR, incredible volume, so sad, so intriguing, so well made.

Hey Hana! I wanted to formally thank you for your combined five hours of deep dives into Gravity Falls, they've really massaged my brain into working on my own fic again. And I wanted to inform you of a bizarre coincidence: I had made my own timeline, not nearly based on as much research as you did, for my fic. And then after watching you video, I went back... and all I had to do was slide everything a year forward. 2013! This is so nice! Firstly, those videos are fun to make and scratch the same Gravity Falls brain itch I have.

I would love it if it was more recognized, but at this point I've done what I can to promote it and I've just gotta let the algorithm take the wheel. Hopefully if it gets shared around enough it'll get picked up and recommended more like the first one did after a few months.

I was really excited to up my production value - the second video was actually way more time consuming (and... a bit more expensive) to make. You go into a project like this and you think you're only buying one or two things and before you know it you've purchased blacklight lamps and uv markers and highlighters and wooden pattern countertop paper and cork sheets and easels and a hanging bulb cord and balloons to stick Reagan's face on... and it adds up.

I'm definitely gonna tone it down on my next video (because I'm honestly not breaking even here), but after I learned the basics during the first video, I went into this second one with A Plan and I was not compromising on that plan. So I'm really really really proud of how it turned out. I learned so much about editing, and maybe that'll help bring my next video up a notch if I can't rely on practical effects. (Though I've been looking up some filming techniques and cheats that could make some parts pop).

If you don't mind me asking, how do you make a 'Ask me' box? I tried once and It didn't work :(

on mobile you can click on settings and in the blog settings section, turn on "let people ask questions" and click on "ask page title" and rename it to whatever you want // on desktop or mobile website, click on your blog page and select "blog settings", scroll down to "Ask" & turn on "let people ask questions" and then you can customize the name there as well. ( i did mine on the website so maybe that will work for you hopefully? idk but good luck! )

i was inactive the whole day and i have a lot to say. writing anything is a true talent especially the way the writers on this tag do their thing— i’m truly mesmerized by this entire tag and everyone on it. it really sucks when people shoot someone down for their hobbies, likings, curriculars etc. last year around super bowl ish my cancer came back and a few days before i had just discovered joe on tiktok after he won the afc championship. i immediately watched every interview & read every article about him. after one of my surgeries i would constantly watch old game footage of him play and teach myself football. i had so many responsibilities as a young college student with an internship and a job.

fast forwarding a few months during my first cycle of chemo i downloaded tumblr and wattpad. i did 5 rounds of chemo consisting of 8 days in each cycle. those days my tumblr screen-time would be so high. it was the only thing that kept my mind off from how my life was falling apart. though i’m in remission now, being part of this community and reading all these fics that our great writers provide on this tag makes me happy and remind me of how much more i have to experience. another thing in mind is i hated reading all my life. but this has pushed me in a way to start reading more books which is now a great habit i’ve developed. ( dropped hella $$ at barnes and nobles btw). anyways i hope @idyllicbarb is well and we don’t judge others for these types of things.

Okay SO OTHER PAIRINGS YOU SAYYYY... o h b o i

Well, when I first started out in this fandom I was a fan of Sokol/Dallas (MasterGrinder). I've always been a fan of age-difference relationships and, well, the fact that they're both extremely handsome men doesn't hurt. Another thing that drew me to this pairing was how the dynamic would work in practice - Dallas being the crew chief, the one who has to keep shit together, and Sokol being younger and probably hornier and being more likely to throw a spanner in the works of whatever carefully-laid plan Dallas had. Oh, and let's not forget @neomineom's insane fanart of the two - that really, uhh, got me into it. I also have an in-progress-on-hiatus fic where they have a first date together and Sokol gets jacked off in a jacuzzi.

Nowadays though, I'm way more likely to imagine Dallas with Bain (MasterGuide or NaviMind). I have a fair few ideas floating around for them already and some in-progress-on-hiatus Tumblr ficlets that are mostly PWPs that somehow became something bigger (kinda like The Cell L M A O ) - not to mention the odd fic on AO3 with them as the main pairing.

I think... again, they're both handsome dudes. And I see them as having a lot in common - Dallas finding it harder to feel connected with the crew as he takes on this role as crew chief - Bain deliberately putting distance between him and the gang as a whole to ensure their safety. But... doesn't this all sound very lonely? So I like to imagine they'd stave off that gnawing loneliness by being together - in secret, mind, so that when Bain gets kidnapped it gets extra juicy and ANGSTY (or I just AU it and Bain doesn't die or get reincarnated).

I’ve... dropped some hints about MasterGuide in The Cell, but it hasn’t been anything super obvious or really worth tagging. In a perfect world I would love to write more stuff with them as the main focus... but I just don’t know if I have time between work, adulting, other creative pursuits, AND finishing one of the two novels I began like two/three years ago in the hopes of getting published. So... never say never I guess?

Now I figure if I keep going on like this for every pairing we’ll be here all day, so I’ll try to give the TL;DR version of the next few (but feel free to Ask me about them another time if you want to know more!).

Sokol/Jacket (Socket) - all that aggression! All that violence! Not typically an enemies-to-lovers fan but here we are.

Wolf/Dallas (MasterTech) - nyaaw crime daddies!

Dallas/Hoxton (MasterFugitive) - angsty potential re: imprisonment, and also handsome menses :3

Jacket/Vlad (UkrainianChicken) - a meme pairing I conceived of when trying to think of who would make the most chaotic pairing in the Payday universe.

Vlad/Locke (GolfGoat) - started as a meme pairing now kinda like it ngl LOL, even the contractors need love! Plus they contrast with one another really well and would be very fun.

I’ve probably missed some out here but oh well. ON TO YOUR 2ND QUESTION.

Wolf and Jacket as having a father/son relationship... well that makes the fics about them a bit raunchier ngl!

I think for me I find it hard to see Jacket as having a role of a leader in any way, shape or form. I feel that a father is a kind of leader or role model and I’m not sure if that’s Jacket’s vibe, I guess. I will say though that my perception of fathers is grim at best due to my own experiences, so there may be something I’m missing here. I’d be open to hearing other people’s thoughts about it, for sure.

I do, however, see the two as sharing a bond because they’re both perceived of as being the most unstable/unhinged in the Payday gang. A kind of ‘nobody understands us and that’s awesome’ vibe.
