It's honestly one of my fave fics, where I just basically was like "exactly how much ridiculousness and dumbassery can I stuff into one story without going completely out of character"? LOL.

And then - UGH. I so meant to have this guy done and out the door in the first half of 2022. Clearly isn't going to happen....BUT that doesn't mean I don't have anything done...😏🤭

“Why are we having an emergency team meeting?” Neil furrows his brow. 

“Great question.  Ask Kevin,” Laila sighs, pulling up a chair and sitting down in it. 

“It’s about Aaron,” Kevin repeats as he plugs in the TV and sticks a USB drive in it.

As predicted, Andrew’s head snaps up.  “What about Aaron?” he asks sharply. 

Beside him, Neil tenses. 

“Glad you asked,” Kevin turns to the room, clicker in hand.  “I’ve called you all here to this meeting-”

“Unofficially,” Dan grumbles. 

“Eh.  I’ll sanction it,” Jeremy shrugs. 

Dan pins him with a look.  “Blatant favoritism, Knox.”

“Yeah, I know,” Jeremy grins back at her, unashamed. 

“-so that we could discuss something that’s come up with Aaron,” Kevin glares at the two of them.  “Something that affects our team as a whole.”

“Oh no!  What’s happened to my poor baby cousin?” Nicky says, clutching the cheese puff container closer to his chest before he looks around.  “Wait – where is my poor baby cousin?”

“He’s got a study date tonight,” Kevin answers. 

“Ah, like a date-date?” Matt grins.  “Or your kind of date?”

Kevin glares at him.  “He’s at the library with his study group.”

“A whole group, huh?  Didn’t realize Aaron was so kinky,” Nicky wiggles his eyebrows. 

Then he yelps when Andrew leans forward and flicks him in the ear. 

Neil smirks.

“Oh, come on!  Like you guys weren’t thinking the same thing!” Nicky tells them, frowning and rubbing his ear.

Kevin rubs his forehead and sighs heavily.  Then he presses a button on the clicker, and the first slide of a PowerPoint shows up.

“Ah, come on, guys!” Matt says.  “Let the man speak.”  He grins over at Renee.  “I mean, it can’t be worse than what happened with Andrew and Neil, right?”

Sage 🤝Dolly being suppliers for Howdy lmao

since Sage is a gardener, i figured she and Howdy often trade produce and stuff, so Sage is one of Howdy's main suppliers for fresh produce. maybe also flower arrangements, though i haven't decided if he gets those directly from Sage or if maybe Julie is also involved however, to get stuff like teas or certain plant mixes or gardening stuff or anything custom, you'd have to go to Sage herself! she 100% sells some of her stuff too -w- has her own teeny shop and everything, though its not nearly as big as the Bugdega. she makes and sells really good lavender syrup :D and dandelion honey!! Poppy loves to use them

anywho!! Dolly Delight here belongs to @nonomives!! a bright lil bee miss!! Sage would love being friends with her, i bet -w- (she'd get along really well with Rosemary >:3)

Never change ghoul. Speaking of Band I played bass clarinet in school, which was given upon suggestion from my band teacher and quiet frankly he was right. I can imagine Music director!Price being that kind of teacher where he sees someone with talent who's maybe not as passionate as he'd like and recommending them instruments that they might not even know was an option and just the smirk on his face seeing them flourish with the more suitable choices. it would also kind of be adorable in a forbidden way if that's how he met his darling.

Absolutely Price is going to recommend new instruments to people. He wants his students to do well but more importantly he wants them to be happy and passionate about their music. I think he spends as much one-on-one time with people as he can, the sort of guy who always has busy office hours because so many people stop by just to talk to him.

Maybe he doesn't mentor everyone but he does pair up older members of the band with the newer ones, tries to make sure everyone has someone they can go to for advice when needed.

His darling is a grad student, he met them in one of his classes in undergrad and was incredibly responsible staying away, even though he very clearly wanted them. I think they also worked hard at staying away from the very charming band director because it seemed forbidden, and I imagine Price is the sort of professor everyone has a crush on, so it was very... "I don't have a chance with him." But coming back for grad school meant a second chance with Price and he is TAKING IT. You're not getting away this time.

Can we please talk about how silly Aqua is?

There's nothing I can do about it, he says, only to literally wait for her in the dark only 4 chapters later.

Um... Aqua, how is this staying away from Akane? This is the silliest stunt Aqua has pulled in the entire series. He made such a dramatic exit out of Akane's life only to cave in... what? 4 months later?

Even assuming he was stalking Ruby and realized the girls were about to hold an audition... he could've simply waited for the girls to tell Gotanda or Kaburagi the results?

There was zero need for him to talk to Akane that night. Case in point, they don't actually discuss the audition at all! Aqua just asks if it's done and that's that lmao

Despite this, Aqua still sits his ass out in the dark and waits for them to be done. He knows what path Akane will take to go home, and he literally parks himself there and makes sure Akane will notice him. He doesn't even have the decency to hide! He stays right there in plain sight and even talks to her first!

Funniest part is that he tries to play it cool by staying on his phone, but he must have seen Akane coming! Otherwise how did he even know she was walking by behind him? 😂

He can't even come up with a excuse when Akane calls him out on it.

And then when Akane tells him that she's going to stop his plan, aka that she'll keep involving herself in his business and that she may just save him from himself after all, he makes this face!

He's giddy! He doesn't need to stalk her anymore, Akane's keeping herself a part of his life all on her own lmao

drop a line you really liked

say how much you love a ship/character and how happy you are that theres content about them

ALL CAPS ANYTHING

"i liked/loved/enjoyed/whatever it!" its better to say the most basic thing than saying nothing tbh; writers appreciate hearing anything over nothing 💜

"thank you for writing this" its short, sweet, and very powerful

think what kind of feedback you'd personally like to receive on a piece of art you made. try to translate that want into comments you leave for other people too

you dont have to be critical or constructive or anything, even if the author asks for that stuff in their notes. they'll get it from someone else, you just do you

i feel like people make leaving comments too hard on themselves, so really just make it simple. if you really dont come up with anything, just say thank you. youre there reading for some reason, tell the author what it is. fic comments dont need to be book analysis essays (tho those are. incredibly appreciated as well if you want to write one!!), writers publishing their works for free online appreciate any kind of feedback regardless if you consider it good or well written. a comment is a comment

bottom line is, leave comments on fics and other written works. its whats keeping this game alive
