“In a secret underwater base, the evil Madame Q is determined to control the world. To that end she has kidnapped thousands of beautiful girls to use in her diabolical experiments. Players are part of a team of experts hired by the government to find and penetrate Madame Q's fortress and free the hostages. After the submarine reaches its destination, players scuba dive to get to the base and must avoid mines and chemical spills as well as battle sharks and enemy divers with their spear-shooting harpoons.

The inside of the fortress is very similar to the territory in Rolling Thunder, and because of this Thunder Jaws is considered by many as the unofficial sequel to that game. Levels get progressively harder, more elaborate and contain more enemies as the game progresses. Additional weapons are obtained when dropped by fallen enemies.” ~MobyGames

Genuinely curious to know where both cis-het animators and transphobes draw the line between when a creature undergoing sequential hermaphroditism is ‘male’ enough or ‘female’ enough to experience noticeable sexual dimorphism. Like I’m low-key convinced that the only reason that Nemo’s mum didn’t have big long eyelashes and fish-titties was because they had marine biologists on the production team who could quietly inform the animators that Clownfish are born male and transition to having female reproductive capacity as needed. But they still had to give her the voice of a suburban soccer mum, lest the children not know that there was a designated ‘mummy’ and ‘daddy’ fish.

Maddie Ziegler didn’t even want to take the title role in “Music” at first, and she cried and had emotional breakdowns repeatedly when filming because she was afraid that Autistic people would think she was making fun of them.  Sia. Basically pressured her into taking the part and going through with it. So on top of everything else, the main actress was manipulated and exploited as well (especially since Maddie was 15 I think when they filmed it). Just gross all around.

something fulfilling in watching two projects (stranger things, thor: love & thunder) hype up their “queer content” as if they’re doing something groundbreaking by doing the same bullshit we’ve seen w/ poorly done queer rep for ages

meanwhile projects like our flag means death, a league of their own, heartstopper, first kill, the owl house, etc. (all in the same year as the other two projects, may i add) perfectly demonstrate how behind those projects are when it comes to rep. how dumb they look for even attempting the dumb “up-for-interpretation”, token queer character shit.

showing how simple it is to, if you are marketing for a queer audience, not to treat us like shit. showing queer people in casual lights, showing our stories in multiple genres for multiple ages, showing multiple queer characters across a spectrum of identities, whether that be sexuality, gender, race, etc.

all it shows me is that i won’t settle for the bullshit queerbaiting. not anymore.

Whenever you need shelter

Steve locks himself out of the house on a stormy night when his parents are out of town. It’s not an ideal situation, but it leads him to Eddie’s where he gets warm and dry and learns a few things about himself.

Excerpt:

But the trailer park is close. Really close. And Eddie told Steve, once, he was welcome any time. And Steve likes hanging out with Eddie.

There’s another crack of thunder and a streak of lightning and that settles it: trailer park, here he comes.

It’s a short walk on a good day, but it’s a miserable night and Steve is not only soaked through to the skin by the time he gets to Eddie’s trailer, but spattered with mud, and freezing to boot. His arm trembles as he raises it to knock on the door. The first knock is pathetically soft, so he does it again, rapping harder this time. His knuckles sting.

He crosses his arms over his chest, bouncing on his toes. There’s no answer, so he calls out. Shit. He hopes Eddie’s home. At least there’s a light on, the one glimmer of hope Steve’s felt since he locked his keys in his car.

The door swings open, and Eddie is there, silhouetted by warm light. “To what do I owe this…” He steps forward, face caught in the light above the door. “Unexpected visit?” He tilts his head, brows raised, then looks past Steve. “Did you walk?”

Vin Jin x Reader: Seeing Colours

It's odd the things you become accustomed to, and the colours you can forget.

You point out the pretty pink of sunset skies to Vin during a quiet walk at dusk, and he mocks your excitement at the banality of it all.

Never one to take things lying down, your fingers creep to the edge of his sunglasses. His body tenses and stiffens but he lets you remove them anyway.

It really is so very pink.

You show him clear blue skies, gloomy and thunderous greys. The deep richness of midnight and twinkling stars. The brightness of a full moon sometimes appearing impossibly close. You identify consellations with Vin beside you, his face naked and eyes squinting.

The colour of leaves during changing of seasons; reds and oranges and yellows signalling impending death or pale greens unfurling into new life. You pass him a a simple leaf one time, vibrant and rich and emerald. Vin scoffs at you even when he carefully tucks it into his pocket.

Dazzling whites of a city covered in snow, the freezing blue crisp of winter, grimy pewters of melting roadside slush. Your mittened hand in his, navigating slippery paths. Vin laughs as you fall, but his hand reaches out to help you up. He opts now to hold you around the small of your back. It's done casually and with teasing words yet he steadies you and provides balance.

And now he knows the shades of your bedroom walls by heart, the warm tone of your wooden floors. The hue of your eyes as you look at him, the rosiness of your cheeks when you blush, the bitten rouge of your lips after a kiss.

You've led him, anxiously, warily by hand. Shown him how vibrant the world can be.

Vin sees the entire spectrum of colours with you.
