I finished my sweater ❤️❤️❤️ The pattern is Koivua by Caitlin Hunter which I liberally changed: completely different yarn gauge, left out the texture pattern, mirrored the colourwork on the body and sleeves to make it longer, different cuffs and collar, completely altered the fit (from oversized to tight fitting in the body and sleeves that actually fit my arms and aren't 3 sizes too small - a lot of math that actually payed off ❤️)

Blocking did wonders, the back was bunching up weirdly between the yoke and body colourwork but that's completely gone now! The stitches evened out beautifully as well ❤️

Overall, I am SO HAPPY with how this turned out! 🥰🥰🥰 I love the colours, I love the fit, the wool is a bit scratchy but I'm not super sensitive to that so it's fine (and maybe wearing it will soften the wool as well). Now please wish me luck that the weather stays cold for a bit so I can still wear it lots before spring comes! 😃

#the cat witchs guild #the misc adventures of mochi and lime #tcwg #tmaomal #masquerade #art #ocs #original #npcs #beta #no colors for her outfit because I havent decided what to dress her in\#but shes supposed to be another store type npc like madam springs or the merchant where theyre not playable you just buy things from them #gotta throw in that detail that when she appears the quests are completely optional because shes so fucking expensive #masquerade is a title by the way and not her name #but they make like one or two sales a year and it sets them up for the next few years #witchs disguise magic doesnt work on the m-34th and the m-34th doesnt have any kind of good disguise stuff so they both use her #and she has no incentive to lower prices because its a one of a kind service #*the only people who can see through her disguises are the merchant and sulluvan #but theyre rarely a concern because theyre neutral anyway #inspired by sampo? maybe a bit hehe #the light disguise option only changes your face and maybe voice. you usually need the whole thing to be safe #by the way the kind of rewards you get when you do the side quests that involve her are INSANE #its like magic boost 1000% type items. or super rare spellbooks lost to time. and you need to infiltrate...somthing #anytime mochi sees her she softly weeps because she can like never afford that shit but she wants the items #its another one of those things like madam springs where it's a well-kept secret and non-magic type service that no one else can mimic #but its uhhhh magic-neutral so to speak #compelely organic so the m-34th can use the service #by the way she has like stealth/disguise 1000000 and attack 0 #shes one of the only characters who is completely useless in actual combat #madam springs can do more than her fighting-wise

tbh i did think that reading the WoT books after watching the show would either a) make me like the show less because there are quite a few differences between the two or b) not care as much about the books because i'm already attached to the showverse but plot twist! i'm having a great time reading and love the show more than ever.

#read new spring last month and almost done with the eye of the world now #i committed enough that i've bought the next two books instead of getting them from the library #lmao this is the first time in like a year that ive read more than 300 pages of a book in a day. i feel like a kid again #i dont want to go to bed now :( i want to keep reading my fantasy book :(#anyways people who are impassioned about one being so much better than the other are lying. theyre both really good #the books just have the benefit of being 800+ pages and more freedom to have a bigger story #and the show has the benefit of not being from the 90s #wheel of time #my posts

Something something azuretime but fairies

Basically just making an AU based of off Speing Two Time because I love how cute it is and bought it before it was gone :p

So uhhh, here’s some points not included in the image

- Fairies in this universe are born with no wings but gain them through a sacrifice of some sort

-Amarah takes this idea and creates a group that sacrifices their closest people to gain wings, Azure and Two Time are born into this group

-Grow up super close together, Amarah notices and takes advantage of this

- Fairies are like the size of a hand in this AU so they usually wear long or baggy clothes made of any scraps they can find

-Two Time and Azure only knew about the sacrifice when it was happening, to pressure them to go through with it

-Those sacrificed are usually turned into eldritch beasts, the pain and betrayal of what happened causing them to be corrupted and hunt down whoever killed them

-This causes their origins to remain a mystery to the fairies, seeing them as mindless predators to hide from

Time does not like beer, or any hard liquors unless they have a fruity flavours added (ie cranberries, oranges, etc)

Malon and Twi??? You can see them down 10 cold pints of beer each without a flinch. These freaks love the taste of beer and have it down to a science on how to get the best drinking experience

A thought occurred while watching night mind go through the welcome home update and idk how to articulate so I’m just gonna drop the thesis and hope ya'll get what i mean.

A big deal is made this update of how Julie woke up early for spring, but she didn’t. The narrator woke her up.

#welcome home #like. listen. idk if this is what the team is going for. it may be nothing. but IF ITS NOT-#the narrators of the storybook records have always been in a weird in-between spot where like. theyre canon-ish #they interact with the cast and can talk to them (poppy even offers one an apple in the halloween record)#but theyre never mentioned or acknowledged outside the storybooks #but THIS time the narrator directly impacted the plot of the story #and that had knock-on effects outside the storybook #night mind has talked abt this before like. which way does the order of events flow?#is the reality being translated into the form of a story or does the story shape the form of the reality?#is the narrator just a story tool or are they a being with impact on the lives of the characters because those are two VERY different thing #julie woke up early for spring and blames herself for why the black flower wont bloom #she's afraid that she'll have to go back to living with her family becuase she's messing up her duties #but did she mess up by her own mistake? or did she mess up because the story dictated her to?

They are mainly working, occasionally getting annoyed at how evolution makes things more difficult for them to work on

it's reference to the recurrent laryngeal nerve. The fun thing about it is that it's the nerve that innervates the muscles in the larynx, but it detours around the aorta on its way from the brain to the voice box. This is especially noticeable in larger animals where the heart and the voice box are far apart. For example, in giraffes, the structures are only a few centimeters apart, but the nerve can get 5 meters long because it travels all the way down to the chest and then loops back up. This is a result of how structures evolved from fish (with no necks) to large animals (with large necks). Evolution can't just "unplug" the nerve and optimize it, so next best thing is to gradually adjust over time
