Was there anything that inspired you to make Astra Planeta? Like a piece of media or a certain creator?

The making of Astra Planeta has been a decade-long journey (I think I forgot to post about the anniversary here, that day was uhhh... eventful), and wasn't set off by a single spark. Technically speaking the origins of the project lie with my discovery of @alexriesart's incredible work on the birrin and their home planet, which inspired me to start my own speculative biology project. It's accumulated bits of a lot of different things I've loved over the years. However, I'd say that the modern incarnation of the setting takes the majority of its inspiration from incredible science fiction authors like Andy Weir, Arthur C. Clarke, and my personal hero, the late Carl Sagan.

Jaskier, after joining the Redanian Secret Service, disguises his classified information in "love letters".

This is a fantastic strategy due to the bard's reputation.

It also, however, irritates Geralt because he doesn't know the letters are fake.

"My Dearest Geralt,"

was the first thing that met Geralt’s eyes as he unsealed the parchment, the ink still smelling faintly of lilac and… something suspiciously like wine.

"On this fair and golden dawn, I set quill to page, thinking of thee—my moonlight sentinel, my wolf among men."

Geralt sighed. He knew these letters served a purpose beyond their dramatics—Jaskier’s flair was just his way of hiding secrets in plain sight.

"The fire that stirs within me—unquenched, unquiet—yearns for the moment your gaze shall again strike me like a blade unsheathed."

Typical Jaskier. Subtlety was never his strong suit.

"Though leagues and lore lie between us, I walk beside you in dreamscapes where serpent beasts sing and snow queens sip ruby wine from crystal flutes. There, I remain—your shadow, your song, your ever-burning spark."

It had taken Geralt more time than he liked to admit to learn how to translate Jaskier's love-drenched metaphors into actionable intel. But now, he could spot the signals between the syllables.

"Until fate folds the map and leads you to me once more—

I remain, ever and only yours,

Julian Alfred Pankratz,

Viscount de Lettenhove."

Geralt tucked the letter away. Flowery nonsense or not, he knew exactly where to find him now

We have our own rooms but most of the time I go on over to Spy's room once I'm done in the workshop at night. Just don't sleep as well without him.

Spy x Family is at its heart an anti-war story. And it's a really good one. It's easy to show the blood and gore of a battlefield, but Spy x Family's ability to show the personal tragedy and cost of war is what makes it a cut above most I've seen/read. This isn't about which country is right or wrong, it's how everyone suffers when those at top want to "win the argument" no matter what it takes.

Exactly, and it’s a focus that Endo is meticulously maintaining and reinforcing. He has a story to tell. Let him.
