My bestie @aryamistwood and I keep chattin about where we think SSO is gonna update next. They noted its been kinda in quest order/what locations players find first.

So here's my theoretical order of location updates (no specific timeline but i do predict we get at LEAST two of these this year if not 3. They've updated a ton in the time ive been playing sso, aka 4 years, so i can see it happening)

- Jarlaheim (May be broken up into Jarlaheim proper, Paddock Island, and Jorvik stables as seperate entities.)

- South Hoof

- Greendale Forest/Wolf Hall Inn (as one update potentially)

- OR Wolf Hall/Nilmer's Highland together

- the new map area they hinted at??

- god please update Dino Valley

- Jasper's Farm and mayhaps the surrounding goldenhills forest

- Crescent Moon Village/the areas you first see when unlocking Epona

Would love to know y'alls predictions/thoughts. My most wanted areas are Jarlaheim, South Hoof, and Dino tbh

FIXED SHADERS

hello everypony

I had figured out what the problem was with my rain shaders was awhile ago and fixed the issue, however, i suffer from Severely Lazy and Can't Be Bothered disease and havent posted updated version of the files UNTIL NOW!!! HERE THEY ARE!!! WOWIE!!!

anyways, the problem was is that they were crashing my GPU. APPARENTLY when a shader file says "increading sample size causes your preformance to tank, dont go passed this rate" they really mean it!!!! it's a shame i dont know how to open my eyes and read,, ah well but it works now YAY ME!!!

So Danny comes to Gotham. Down on his luck. But lo and behold, he still has access to the kingly vaults! He doesn't have to worry about money!!! He can just buy a small apartment and live out his miserable little life In luxury!

But then he is stopped on a horrible and a dark stump in his plan. How in the 7 hells is he gonna explain it to the IRS ??????

No, Danny . How are you gonna explain the fact that you keep finding mysterious little gold files to the tax man . Jazz says emphatically through a video call . Which is a multi dimensional cuz I can't explain why sam wont just give him the money. And btw the just assume that the vaults has a magic function to give the money to him in the local currency.

Sso from that day onwards Gotham had a new little cafe in a quiet little nook. The prices are super cheap. And it by far has the best fudge in all of Gotham. If you exclude Alfred's.

The gothamites love it. It's a favorite college hangout. Everyone is pretty sure the cafe is a front. Everyone is 100% sure of it. But in this economy who the hell cares. At least it's not nfts.

People can actually benefit from this because we can get like a whole breakfast for like 4 dollars ( an au where like Danny's 2000s world is like super cheap compared to the modern Gotham city and nobody taught the poor boy common prices of this world. Danny's thinking like how do I keep accidentally going into these rich people stores with their ridiculous prices, Ughh guess I'll have to buy this I don't want to go farther) and the quality is good too. The scrawny little twink owner sure as hell does not know much about ingredients prices or did the bare minimum study of business.

Anyway when the bats came sniffing (the scrunkly little guy was innocent blame Fenton luck) and we'll tried to interrogate the owner people actually chained themselves to the front like the worlds most confused save the trees activists.

The only possibly true-form Pandorians I'm aware of are from SSL and they were basically a horse version of minotaurs. Which means there is precedence for the concept that is Pandorians became the fantasy humanoid creatures in human mythology.

So that's gonna be my excuse for suggesting there's probably, among others, sentient Pandorians that are basically dryads and look a lot like Pandorian-colored versions of the Sylvari from Guild Wars 2.

If you need more reason to believe the mythology connection, I'll direct you to the kelpie horses, and the very satyr-like caprans.

And for those who like to lean more into Pandoria's aquatic aspects, the mythological base still holds since there could be a sentient species that inspires the concept of merfolk.

I will circle back to the SSL illustrations for this last part and point out the horse-headed minotaurs had a warrior-like appearance. They were also shown wielding tridents, famous symbols of the sea.

I don't dive into Pandorian lore or headcanons that much but I do sometimes entertain the idea that Laverna may be an updated version of those minotaurs.

I have no hard evidence that Laverna has anything to do with Pandoria though, except that:

Her colors match those of Pandoria.

Her mask, though it is horned, fits a horse head.

She is described as a spirit, a "mere wisp and a mask" when she came to Jorvik. It's not the first time we've heard of wisp-like entities coming from Pandoria (shadow seekers).

I've only done one concept of what Laverna might look like in her original form. It's old but gets the idea across. This particular Laverna is primarily a fisherman, though with some warrior vibes.

And for those not in the know, the big fluffy murder machine there is also a sentient member of the Pandorian fauna (though it looked a little different last time it appeared).

Because I posted a sketch of an old creature design in discord one time and some friends yoinked it for Pandorian headcanons.

So it's here purely by accident and you can blame those friends for Pandorians having giant monkey weasel dragons as mounts instead of something expected, like manta rays.

TS4 Default Replacement: Horse "Skin"

Day 1 Edition (BETA/TESTING) - Adults/Elders Only

at the behest of the public, here's the "Day 1" default replacement I did. DL & info under the cut.

So, okay. Honesty time! This isn't tested outside of CAP at all. I don't know how it'll look in-game. I guess that'll be something you all find out, it could like hot garbage for all I know.

Alongside that, is the biggest strongest flashiest disclaimer I could do; I made this in an hour on the day of the expac's release, it's rough as hell, it is NOT a final product and is IS a beta. If you end up having problems with it, I highly encourage just not using it until better and more-refined versions of it or others come out.

Also I default-replaced both the "normal" and "muscled" versions of the diffuse, so the muscle slider in CAP won't show any texture change any more with this mod. This'll change in newer, more official releases.

I did a lot of reverse-engineering in my own time of the TS4 files to understand the file structure & to get this to work, so this is the very least you can do.
