a/n: wrote this for my black british ppl dem, hobies existence kinda made me proud. i put some british slang/phrases here n there. also, black cat is an underrated love interest i wish they put her in a movie.

It’s midnight, what better time to steal the crown jewels? Yes, it’s heavily guarded and there’s a slim chance you’ll even make it out alive but you needed them more than some overrated family. They don’t even belong to the royals, right?

You navigate through the tower of London, looking for something worthy of taking and risking your life for. Last time, you took (what was apparently) Queen Victoria’s robe and one of those fancy looking crowns. This is light work to you, but since you know the guards will be changing shifts in fifteen minutes, all you want to do is get the big one and leave.

Oh, what’s the big one you ask? St Edwards crown.

Yes, it’s not entirely ethical, robbing something from the most notorious robbers in history but it’s better off them and in someone elses hands, you figure.

Plus, your not greedy, the charity organisations were frequently shocked when ‘Anonymous’ donated $1,000,000 every month or so.

When you come face to face with with St Edwards Crown, your eyes widen behind your black goggles in amusement. The diamonds looked so…big.

After you fawned over the gleam of all the rubies and diamonds, you took out your laser and, carefully, cut a circle into the glass. Slowly, and gently, you pulled the cut glass away from the rest of the box.

Once your gloved hands touched the crown, you felt an odd chill in your spine.

“Oh, don’t mind me, love, just enjoying the show..” That familiar voice causes a smirk to appear on your face. When you turn around, you see that same patriotic red and blue covered by silver spikes. He’s leaning on the wall, arms crossed. You wonder how long he’s been standing there.

Or if he even cares that you’re stealing from his beloved monarchy.

“Spidey, strange to see you here…” You smirk before quickly replacing the real crown with a replica so no weight detectors could go off. Hobie smirked behind his spiked mask, “Strange to see me ‘ere? In my city?”

You loudly roll your eyes, putting your new souvenir in your bag. “Y’know what I mean. Did you see what I got this time?”

“The big one…Look at you! A year ago you were robbing the richest men in Dubai..” He chuckled as you smiled at his compliment. His heavy boots almost scare you when he walks up to you, he could alarm a guard.

Not wanting to cause a breach in security, you took out your grappler and shot up to the ceiling, “I’d love to stay with you, Bee, but a new apartment is calling my name!”

Bee. He smiled at the nickname as he remembered the many times you’d say it.

He stares at your every move, and how every one of your movements makes your body look so damn sexy. Your latex black suit giving you that perfect silhouette, not to mention the fluffy white fur on your calf and chest that ultimately made you look regal.

“For fuck sake..” He sighed. He remember what Miguel commanded.

‘Stop being an anarchist or whatever you call yourself and actually try capture the bad guys!’

Suddenly, five bright flashes shone into Hobies eyes, blinding the man as security guards rushed into the room. They had their tasers in one hand and flashlights in the other, analysing the room and the shattered glass from the glass roof. All Hobie could do in response was kiss his teeth.

“Took you lot long enough…” He raised his hands, surrendering as if he was trying to make them think that they had control.

They stepped closer to him, “What are you doin ‘ere, Spider?”

Hobie groaned again. The fact that this was the useless security the stupid government spent so much on made him sick, “Tryna catch the cat that’s been stealing shit from all around the world, you donut!”

One of the security guards looked at the missing artefacts and looked back at Hobie.

Hobie scoffed, “I knew you man were racist, but you’re really gonna accuse a black man for stealing these fucking jewels that don’t even belong to that bloke in the castle?!”

The security men didn’t know what to think, looking at each other to answer spiderman. They didn’t even know spiderman was black! “N-No! I would never-”

“Shut up, just shut up.” Under his mask, Hobie smirked. He webbed up to the ceiling, leaving the security guards gobsmacked. “If I ever see you again, it’s wraps, understand?”

They all nod.

“Wasteman…” he muttered, before chasing after you.

You ran along London rooftops, your movements a little slow due to the heaviness of your bag. This stealing shit was tiring, you hoped once you sold the jewels, you’d be able to live comfortably for the rest of your life.

After a few more leaps, you rested on the top of the shard, overlooking London and it’s nightlife. From here, you could see Leicester square and almost smell the food. You sighed, taking in the city.

Dreams of getting rich might’ve blinded your vision, but the rush feels exhilarating.

“You dropped this..” You turn around seeing Hobie, without his mask. He held a shiny ruby in between his fingers. “Come get it, kitty.”

You rolled your eyes at his banter and stood, walking towards him. As much as you tried to get him out of your head, his smile alone sent thousands of butterflies to your stomach. “Why are you following me so much, hm? Thought your big bad boss made it clear there’s a Gwen Stacy here that you have to be with-”

“And when have I ever listened to him?” He steps closer, placing the ruby in your hand. You watched him as he carefully removed your mask from your face, finally seeing your face.

You recall the time when he told you about this Gwen Stacy and how Miguel clearly expressed his disappointment that someone as smart as Hobie would ruin the multiverse due to his selfishness and some ‘petty thief’. As much as you understood all this about canon events and the multiverses, you loved Hobie too much to let him go to that fashion designer, Gwen Stacy.

However, after a lot of thinking, you decided it was best if you left him, not wanting him to face any problems with Miguel.

But, you miss him. You miss the smell of his cigarettes, the sound of his guitar, the feel of his naked skin pressed against yours.

It was for the best.

“Hobie, go away.” You try to snatch your back from him but he moved his arm above your head. His smile deepens as you cross your arms, looking up at you.

God, he missed you.

“Me and Gwen? It’s like watching paint dry. It’s boring. And most importantly, she’s not you!” His callous hands stroke your cheek, has he ever been this soft? “All I want is you.”

“You can’t have me. Miguel will have your head-” “Let him have it!” Hobie exclaims, as if that is a reasonable answer. You curse under your breath, pinching the bridge of your nose.

Hobie chuckles slightly because he knows you, and he knows his love for you. But when he sees you look at him sternly, all smiles stop.

“Why can’t you just understand that I want you to be safe, fuckin idiot..” You sigh. Hobie sighs too, but out of frustration. The two of you were like immovable object meets unstoppable force. Both as stubborn as each other.

He grabs your face and rests his forehead against yours. You cringe slightly at the feeling of his eyebrow piercing but look into his eyes anyway, “Fuck Miguel. I’m safe with you, I want you.”

Bastard, you thought before planting a kiss on his lips. He held you tightly, gripping onto your hip before deepening the kiss. Hobie’s kisses are something you’ve missed, especially the horny, sloppy kisses like the one you share now.

His hands search for a zip or any easy way to undress you as remove his punkish denim jacket. The feeling of you two undressing each other whilst standing on top of a tower is inexplicable. All you want right now is him, all of him.

“Hobie, we need your help with this spiderman called Miles- WOAH!” The man spoke before notcing you, someone he’s never seen before, in Hobies apartment, in Hobies shirts.

“Uhhh…Hobie, there’s somebody in your-” “Peter..” Hobie began, before taking the baby from Peter.

“That ain’t somebody..” He gave you the baby in his hands.

Summary: milestones, anxiety and incoming changes

Eddie is so used to talking to himself that talking to Stacy about anything and everything during the night is super easy. 

He whispers so Steve will keep sleeping but most of the time, he’s talking. He mostly narrates their time together, when making her bottles or changing her diaper, picking an outfit or even chilling in bed when she can’t sleep. She listens really well, too, often following along with incoherent babbles or moving her mouth to copy the shapes he made, wishing she would talk too. 

After 8 months of talking to her, she finally speaks back with more than just coos and sounds.

“Dadadada,” she says while flapping her arm, reaching out for Steve and patting his back. 

“Yeah, that is dada,” Eddie lights right up, he picks her up and moves her to his lap so she won’t wake Steve up by accident, but he was starting to be able to sleep through anything with the two of them always talking. 

They haven’t really considered how hard it’ll be for her to have two dads and how weird it’ll be referring to both of them as dad, it’ll probably get all confused at some point… and papa was definitely not an option given everything El went through. So that left Eddie with Daddy if Steve was going to be Dada…

“Can you say my name? Say, daddy?” He asks, bunching her lightly, her feet resting on his thighs and helping push herself up more. Jumping with joy much more than she was just bouncing. 

“Dadada,” she says the few syllables again, smiling away. 

“Close enough,” he pulls her in for a sweet hug, kissing her chubby cheeks a few times and then he lets her sit back between the two of them… big mistake. 

Steve is laying with his back to them, on his side, facing away and she hates that. Stacy grabs his arm and pulls herself up to her feet quickly, “dadadada,” she chants while smacking his arm and trying to get his attention. 

“Hey, no,” Eddie reaches for her again but she was successful in waking her dad up. 

He’s groggy as all hell but rolls over with a smile, “g’morning sweetheart,” he wraps her up in a hug and snuggles her up real tight. “Since when did you get big enough to call me dada?” 

“She just started saying it,” Eddie smiles too, so in love with his little family. “I really thought she’d call you mom first…” he teases, trying to make Steve laugh because his morning giggles are the best. 

“You have longer hair, don’t you think she’d call you mama first?” Steve combats, leaning over with his lips pursed, wanting a kiss. 

So Eddie leans in, he gives him a kiss just in time for Stacy to grab his hair by the fistful and babble, “mamamamama,” she repeats the sound, making Steve laugh his ass off. 

“It’s cause you told her to!” Eddie can’t help but laugh too. “Sweetheart, I’m not mama, I’m daddy… thats dada,” he points to Steve. “And I’m daddy,” he points to himself. 

“What if I want to be daddy?” Steve teases, always trying to bug Eddie. 

“When she’s old enough to understand she can call you whatever she wants… as long as she never calls me Eddie I’ll be fine,” he admits. 

They both called their dads by their first names, Dick Harrington was indeed a dick and Eddie’s dad was just as bad, only his name was Frank. They hated them, they weren’t worthy of being called dad… Eddie’s biggest fear is one day she’ll hate him and call him Edward or Ed and break his heart. 

“No, you’d never do that,” Steve bounces her too, “right? You love daddy, tell him, say I love you daddy.” 

She doesn’t, she can’t yet. But it’s okay, he gives her a kiss on the cheek and a smile, “one day you’ll say it, baby girl, and I’m going to cry. You’re gonna make me cry, aren’t you?” 

“And me too,” Steve assures him. “The only reason I’m not crying right now is because she’s so darn cute… every other milestone, however, I’m going to be a mess.” 

“I wouldn’t expect anything less,” Eddie leans in and steals another kiss from him. “You sleep okay? I’m sorry we woke you…” 

“Oh, yeah, don’t worry about it,” Steve waves it off. “How long have you been home?” 

“An hour and a bit, nothing major,” he sighs, resting against the headboard. “I did a lot of lifting tonight, my arms are killing me…” 

“What did they have you doing?” Steve asks, sitting up beside him with Stacy back between them, playing with one of her stuffed animals. 

This is how they spend most of their mornings before Steve gets ready for work and after Eddie gets home from his job. He worked most nights, from 10pm to 6am at the factory in town, loading trucks with orders or working the machines to finish the order before it can be loaded. Basic shit, basic pay, and he didn’t miss a lot of time with his family. It was the best job he could get, so it’s pretty good. 

The video store doesn’t open until 10am, so he gets to spend most of his morning with them, only going to sleep once they’ve left. But even then, they’re still in his dreams most of the time so he can’t find a way to miss them too much.

Steve takes her to work some days, and most days when Joyce had to take one of her own kids to do something. Today was one of those days, El wanted a haircut and Will needed new pants because he won’t stop growing, so they’re taking a day trip into the city for shopping with Max and Lucas joining them as well. 

She let Steve know yesterday, it was last minute but he didn’t mind, he simply asked her to look out for any good deals on summer stuff for Stacy cause maybe they’ll take a trip on Eddie’s next day off… only Joyce heard that as an opportunity to spoil her granddaughter. 

He brings her pack-n-play to work, her diaper bag, and some snacks alongside her regular bottle feedings. She naps in the back room around noon, she has lunch with him and they pack up to head home at 6 for dinner with daddy… and he can’t forget aunt Robin or Nancy, who is basically living with them this summer too. 

Much to his surprise, however, he gets home to a wonderful smell and the girls in the kitchen making a big dinner. “There she is!” Nancy cheers, reaching out for Stacy who reaches back for her. 

“Wow, thanks,” Steve hands her over with a fake look of hurt. “What am I, chop liver?” 

“Uh-huh,” she pretends to care, holding Stacy close to her chest, supporting her with one arm and holding one of Stacy's hands with her free one. “you’re the best thing Steve Harrington’s ever made, aren’t you? Aren’t you?” She bounces her each time, making her laugh as she feels the sensation of dropping. 

“She really is,” Steve can’t disagree there. “so… what’s for dinner?” 

“I’m not too sure, Robin and Eddie have been just throwing whatever you had in the cupboard together… smells good though,” she explains with a shrug, leading him into the kitchen. 

“Oh no,” he isn’t excited to see the mess that it entails… but he follows anyway. 

“Steve,” Robin light up when she sees him at the same time Eddie swoons, “sweetheart, you’re home!” 

“Are you talking to me or her?” Steve points at Stacy, laughing already, thinking it was funny. He walks right over to Eddie and plants a kiss on his cheek. 

Eddie’s stirring a pot of homemade… pasta? He’s not too sure, but there’s a red sauce and ground beef in one pot and elbow macaroni going in the other. 

“I was talking to you,” Eddie turns to him and steals a real kiss. “How was it?” 

“Good, she got a lot of work done, might ask Keith to make her employee of the month,” Steve teases, knowing Robin has the day off and can’t say she worked hard too. 

“Hey,” she is offended, just like he intended. “I’m right here… “

“And?” He smirks, getting a dish towel thrown at his face in return. He laughs as he takes it off his face and holds it instead. “So what is this?” 

“Goulash,” Eddie explains, “it’s a big one-pot pasta soup, Wayne used to make it all the time.”

“Is that… corn?” Steve points, not meaning to be so judgemental but he’s never had this before. 

“Yep, the bag was right beside the beef in the freezer, so… don’t worry, it’s yummy,” Eddie assures him. “And I cooked the pasta separately so that Stacy can have some noodles tonight…” 

“Oh yeah, she’s going to love them,” Steve assures him. “And give her a bit of sauce, she loved the lasagna we need a few weeks ago.” 

They were a pasta family. It was quick, the ingredients were cheap, it was delicious and most of all, they both knew how to make a variety of different dishes thanks to growing up alone. Steve loved just pasta with butter and cheese as a kid, and Eddie was more into one-pot meals like goulash and hamburger helper… they had the latter almost once a week. 

Sure enough, they get Stacy situated in her high chair, wearing nothing but a bib and her diaper in preparation for the mess she was going to make. They push her high chair right up to the table, the 4 of them gathered around her, all sharing stories from their day while they eat. 

It’s not a sight any of them ever expected to see… at least not like this. Steve dreamed about having a baby with Nancy back when they were together, having no idea that she was just a stepping stone in his story, which would always include her and later that same little baby he dreamed of. Robin and Eddie both never imagined being friends with Steve Harrington, much less Eddie being essentially married to him and robin finding a soulmate of sorts in him too. 

Life worked the best this way. Nancy and Robin are so happy together, just like Steve and Eddie, if not more so… he thought he made Robin laugh and smile pretty hard before, but since she’s started dating Nancy, she practically glows. 

Love looks really good on her. 

She’d say the exact same thing about Steve. 

The way his chair is so close to Eddie’s, how he leans into him when he laughs and stares at him with heart eyes when he speaks. Steve could have no idea what Eddie’s saying, but he still looks at him like he hung the fucking moon and all the stars in the sky every night. 

Nancy and Robin offer to clean up the kitchen while the two dads get their little girl ready for bed. All 4 of them give her a little kiss on the head before she goes to sleep, she was quickly becoming the most loved baby in Hawkins.

Steve closes the bedroom door at 8:30, after watching her sleep for 5 minutes to make sure she’s completely asleep. Eddie left the moment she was back in her crib, having to get ready for work. While his shift didn’t start till 10, he had to be out of the house by 9:20 in order to make it there in time. He hated it. 

Steve passes Robin and Nancy in the living room, all snuggled up together on the loveseat, flicking through the channels for something to watch. They don’t even notice him run right down the stairs, through the kitchen and down to the basement, they’re too wrapped up in each other. 

When he gets down there, Eddie is sitting on the edge of his bed, flipping through a magazine with his work clothes laying on the end of his bed. “Why aren’t you getting dressed?” 

Eddie looks up at him with a smirk, “the last few nights I’ve gotten ready just for you to take me back out of my clothes…” 

Steve blushes, 'cause yeah, he has done that. But it’s summer, the horniest season for Steve. Something about the sun being out and his friends being around made him happy, and when he was happy he wanted nothing more than to share that happiness. 

“Do you want me to blow you before work or not?” Steve crosses his arms, trying to be stern but his smile gives him away. 

“Duh,” Eddie would never say no to him. He walks over, closing the space between them and colliding his lips with Steve’s, making the next 10 minutes count.

They come back upstairs laughing together over something stupid, Eddie’s fully dressed for work and Steve’s hair is a fucking mess. Steve hands him his lunch box full of snacks for the night and starts to walk him to the front door, having to cut through the living room past Nancy and Robin to do so. 

Only Stacy is with them now, as well. 

Nancy has her cuddles into the crook of her neck, rubbing Stacy’s back while she shushes her. “Look who’s back…” 

“What happened?” Steve goes right back into dad mode, “why is she up?” 

“She started crying a few minutes ago but you were busy…” Robin looks like she wants to turn inside out, meaning she probably went to the basement door to call for Steve and heard something she never wanted to. 

“I’m so sorry,” Steve turns bright red, “oh my god, I’m—

“It’s fine,” Nancy laughs, “just… go wash your hands before you take her, I’ve got her for now.” 

Eddie pulls Steve over and wraps him up in a hug, kissing the side of his head, “I’ve gotta go, I love you, call the front desk if you need me…” 

Steve turns to him and lets out a deep sigh, embarrassed as hell, but he softens when he sees eddies cute face. “I love you too,” he leans in and steals a real kiss and then Eddie’s off to work. The house kinda shakes as he slams the door behind himself, running out the door because they took a bit longer than 10 minutes in the basement. 

Steve excuses himself and heads up to the bathroom, he leaves Stacy with Nance cause she had fallen asleep again on her shoulder. By the time he gets back downstairs, Robin has cuddled up on Nancy’s other shoulder, soaking in the baby cuddles as long as she could. 

He takes a seat next to them, noticing they’re watching a new episode of Full House, it makes him laugh. “Do you guys not get enough of a laugh watching me and Eddie struggle with one baby?” 

“You don’t struggle,” Nancy says, her voice is so soft and genuine. “you’re so much better than the Danny Tanner.” 

“Thank you,” he takes the compliment to heart. “And you two are worlds above uncle Jessie and the other one…”

They both laugh but not too hard, they don’t want to wake Stacy at all. Robin places her hand over Nancy’s on the baby’s back and smiles, “I’m gonna miss her so much in the fall.” 

“You’re still going to come home all the time, right?” Steve’s heart breaks a bit when he thinks about it. 

“Of course,” it’s really a no-brainer. “Still, for a few years it’ll just be the summers, Christmas and spring break that brings me home but… maybe we’ll settle back here when we get jobs?” 

“Eventually,” Nancy agrees. “Even if we move to Indianapolis, they have lots of jobs for us.” 

“Working in a city school is going to be weird,” Robin already dreads it. “But they’re going to need a good music teacher.” 

“You’re going to be the best teacher,” Steve reaffirms, he’s been so excited for her for these last few months since she got into college, it’s only just recently hit him that their time was running out. “I just don’t know what I’m going to do without you.” 

“You’ll be okay,” robin is sure of it, but Steve isn’t. 

“I hope…"

Steve doesn’t sleep at all that night. He lays in bed, closes his eyes and stays in the middle ground between being awake and being asleep, stressing out about when Robin is gone. Part of it is because he’s going to miss her like missing a limb, but also because he knows they’re not going to be able to afford the house once she’s gone. 

He finally sits up and accepts that he’s not sleeping much tonight, he checks his watch to see that it's 5:36 and Eddie gets off work in 24 minutes. He’ll be home by a quarter after 6 and Stacy should be waking up in a few minutes too unless that hour she spent in the living room before bedtime catches up to her. Either way, he only has a few more minutes of solitude left and he’s so grateful. 

The only thoughts in his head right now are anxious, there’s a nervous cloud floating around his head keeping him stuck in the fog. If he can’t afford the house then he should sell it… it's not like he likes the house, it’s just a place he grew up and none of those memories really mean anything to him anymore. Stacy is too little to really remember this place if they left, anyway, if they moved she could create memories in a house that was never tainted by the Harrington's misery. 

And he knows this place is worth a lot. He doesn’t have a mortgage. Only his name is on the deed. All the money from selling would go right into his pocket… he could make at least $300,000 for this place, it’s huge, it’s nice and there is a pool. Surely someone will buy it from him and then he could get a nice place on Dustin's street, or maybe even Nancy’s, there was an abundance of places for sale still in the wake of the earthquake.

He slips out of the room around 6, taking the baby monitor with him this time so that he hears Stacy when she cries this time. He puts on some coffee and sits at the kitchen table alone while it percolates, filling the silence he’s surrounded by before his lover returns. 

He stands up as soon as he hears eddies keys enter the lock and switches over. He pushes the door open and steps inside with a sigh, trying to be quiet, not knowing Steve is already awake and walking over to him. 

“Hey?” He questions as soon as he sees him, “why are you up?” 

“Bad night,” he explains, stepping into eddies space and wrapping him up in a hug. 

Eddie barely has the time to drop his lunchbox, standing taller than Steve when he’s in his work boots, it’s strange how small he feels wrapping himself around Eddie’s middle with his cheek pressed to his chest. Eddie soothes one of his large hands down his back, “oh, sweetheart?” 

“It’s okay,” he pulls away and takes the lunchbox from Eddie's other hand, placing it on the bench by the door so Eddie can hug him properly. 

And sure enough, as soon as their hands are empty, Eddie embraces him and smothers his cheek and neck in kisses. “I love you, I’m sorry you had a hard night.” 

“It’s okay,” he says again even though it really wasn’t. His anxiety was affecting his sleep again, they thought it was gone, he was so happy for so long but it looks like he was still the same old messed up Steve he’s always been. 

“Do you want to tell me about it?” Eddie asks just as Steve starts to pull away again. 

He nods, “yeah, come get some coffee… do you want breakfast?” 

“If you’re up for it?” He’d never turn down Steve’s cooking, “and you’ve gotta have some too.” 

Steve manages to smile, “I will, come on.” 

He drags him into the kitchen and plops him down in a seat at the counter island, “so… uh, I think I want to move?” 

“Where?” Eddie immediately worries, reaching for Steve’s hand before he can walk too far away. 

“Here,” Steve laughs, “like over on cherry or maple, hell, I might even stay on Cornwallis— I just know that once Robin moves to Chicago either we're going to have to pick up another job each or sell this place to stay afloat.” 

“I thought you were going to say you were going with them,” Eddie admits, relieved doesn’t even cover how he feels right now. “But I like this plan, we could make a killing on this place and then live off it for a while.” 

“The deed said it’s estimated at $300,000 right now but that was before we did all the painting last summer, so who knows the appraisal could go up.” 

“Holy fuck,” Eddie can’t believe it. “Thats so much money?” 

Steve nods, “so we can get a nice house and use the rest to give Stacy the best life possible.” 

“I’m down for whatever you want to do, babe, I support you,” Eddie affirms, still holding Steve’s hand he caresses it with his thumb. “It would be nice to make some place ours… like really ours.” 

“I wonder if Joyce liked her Realtor form when they moved to California,” Steve wonders, beaming with hope again. He really just needed to talk it over with Eddie, like most things, Eddie just made things easier. 

He understood life a lot better with Eddie by his side.

Chapter One: The gentle glow of morning sunlight peeking through the drapes greeted Prince Edward as he awoke. He felt the warmth of the bed embrace him, and he reached out naturally, thinking Stacy would be there to hold him. He was surprised that even though the area next him was vacant, he could still feel her warmth.

"Stacy?" he said, his voice tinged with curiosity. A chorus of footsteps and the tuneful tinkle of metal drifted in his direction, giving him a bit of an inkling into what Stacy's been up to.

He heard Stacy's mischievous voice say, "Coming! I may... take a little longer to get there." Edward's lips curved into a fond smile as he swung his legs off the bed, eager to uncover the mystery of what his fiancée was doing.

The door slowly creaked open, revealing Stacy with a breakfast tray carefully held in her hands. Her smile was a charming mix of nervous excitement and contagious enthusiasm. Edward could not help but smile.“Is that for me, darling?”

The smell of freshly cooked breakfast filled the air as Stacy set the tray down, causing her hands to shake a little, "Do you...like it?

“Of course, almost as much as I love you," Edward said, filling the space between them with sincerity.Stacy’s face lit up, and Edward wished he could see her smile all the time, as if it could light up a Christmas tree. With a playful pout, she teased, "But you love me the most, obviously?”

“Obviously," Edward chuckled, embracing her and kissing the back of her hand tenderly. "No breakfast can compare to the joy of waking up with you by my side.”

Stacy nestled into the warmth of his embrace, a soft sigh of contentment escaping her lips. "I am glad, I really wanted to surprise you.”

“Well, darling," Edward admitted, pressing a gentle kiss to her brow, "you succeeded, and I am the luckiest man in the world to have you as my fiancée and future wife.”

Stacy looked up at him, the height difference between her and her fiancée obvious, and said, "And I am the luckiest woman to have you as my prince and future husband.”

The morning light bathed the royal chamber in a soft radiance, and Prince Edward and Stacy shared a moment by the window, their conversation laced with playful banter, and Stacy could not help but tease Edward."I hope the king and queen don’t mind that we’ve slept on the same bed? Don't royals have a lot of things they're not supposed to do and such?" she quipped with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Edward chuckled, his eyes drifting to see Stacy’s mischievous smile. "I'm sure we’ll be fine as long as they don’t know. Besides, breaking a few rules keeps life interesting, don't you think?"

Stacy's eyes twinkled as she continued their playful banter, "Well, I'm honored to be your partner in royal rule-breaking. Do you think they'd mind if I made it a habit?"

“You called for me, Your Majesty?” Stacy peeks from the heavy oak door of Queen Caroline’s study.

The queen, awaiting her future daughter-in-law’s presence, smiled and motioned her to sit. Stacy went inside carefully and treaded into the queen’s study with apprehension. She had no idea where the queen was standing in terms of their family's opinion on her, and it didn't hurt to be careful of her movements. 

She still technically deceived them. 

“As a mother, I only wanted to have what’s best for my son. And I thought that him marrying a Duchess would suit him better as a future ruler. A duchess would have had the experience to support Edward and understand what he will be going through. But then, you came…”

Stacy’s breath caught in her throat, honestly she has no idea where this conversation will lead to.

“And you brought out the best in Edward, and with that, I am thankful for your presence. Through Mr. De Luca, apologies for him spying on you and Edward, i was able to gauge how much impact you have on my son.”

“However, I must warn you, Stacy, that the royal life is not all glitz and glamor.” The queen’s tone shifted to a serious one. Stacy’s smile fell. The queen inhales deeply and grasps Stacy’s hand.

“We, consorts, will learn to accept that the crown will always come first for our husbands. The bitter truth will always be that we will only come second to the crown.” Queen Caroline says softly. She stood up from her seat behind the desk and sat in front of Stacy, seeing eye to eye with her. 

“I gave birth to Edward with my husband not by my side. While i was labouring, he was on the other side of the castle, discussing politics.” she smiles bitterly. "However, I'm not here to scare you off from marrying Edward. Now pray tell, let me see the ring…"the queen chuckles.

"Heavens, don't tell me my son has proposed to you without a ring?" the queen asked aghast. 

"Uhm, he kinda did not." Stacy quipped. 

"And he proposed out of blue to make sure you won't leave his side? And without a ring?" Queen Caroline chuckles. "If I were you, i would have rejected him once. Just to humble his ego a bit." 

The queen and Stacy shared a good laugh. The two were quick to get along as beneath the stoic demeanor of the queen, was a joyous personality and sense of humor. 

"Miss De Novo…" the queen calls out. 

"Yes, Your Majesty?" 

"I hope there are no souvenirs from the royal chambers, considering the two of you slept together on the same bed?" the queen asks her. 

Stacy's cheeks tinged pink. "Certainly, Your Majesty. We haven't done anything improper to break your trust." 

The queen sips her tea and nods approvingly. "Very well then, off you go. Edward must be already getting cranky by our conversation getting longer. I swear that boy is as clingy as his father." 

—— After an insightful time with Queen Caroline, Stacy returned to Edward’s room but found him nowhere to be seen. On the way down, she had run into Frank and was told Edward was waiting for her in the snowy courtyard. The royal gardens were blanketed in new snow, providing the atmosphere for a peaceful winter day.

As Stacy entered the courtyard, Edward was waiting for her, a warm smile on his face. "How was your time with the Queen?" he inquired, offering his arm.

"It was amusing," Stacy said, hooking her arm through his. "Why? Are you worried that your mother would probe into our relationship?"

The pair strolled along the icy walk, the quiet crunch underfoot giving a backdrop to their chat. The air was fresh, and the winter scene surrounding them felt like something out of a holiday film.

Stacy's gaze was drawn to an undisturbed mound of snow as they walked through the palace grounds. A sly grin flashed across her face. "You know what, you can make your portrait now."

"Portrait?" Edward asked, perplexed.

"A snow angel," Stacy explained, nodding her head and pointing at the pure snow.

Edward's surprise changed to confusion. "A snow angel? Isn't that something kids do?"

Stacy chuckled. "Come on, it's fun!" she coaxed him toward the untouched pile of snow.

Edward smiled and let himself be dragged onto the white canvas. Stacy joined him, and the two of them created a magnificent snow angel. They lay side by side, letting the chill soak into their bodies.

As the car approached the departure gate, Edward stole a glance at Stacy, his eyes reflecting a mixture of love and longing. The airport, bustling with travelers, seemed to amplify the quiet ache of the impending farewell of the couple.

As the car stopped in front of the terminal, Edward turned to Stacy, his voice tender. "Stacy, darling, this parting is not easy for me. But I want you to carry a piece of my promise with you." With that, he produced a small velvet box from his pocket.

Stacy's eyes widened with a mix of curiosity and emotion as Edward opened the box, unveiling a delicate ring—an intricately designed promise ring that symbolized the intertwining of their lives. The gemstone sparkled, encapsulating the essence of their shared journey.

調べ終わってみて

主人公陣と女性陣はおおむねイメージどおりの役者さんでしたね！😆😆 男性陣は意外な方やイメージと違う方が多かったので、元ネタを間違えているか、もしかしたらあんまり役者さんの雰囲気は関係なくお名前だけ取ってるのかも。 でも個人的にミッシェル役は超納得でした！！ｗｗｗ

ぶっちゃけ自分がぱっと見で元ネタがわかった人はキャプリスコスナーだけだったので、かなり洋画がお好きな方が考えたんだろうなあ、と想像してわくわくしました。 マイナーだけど個人的に推してる俳優さんのお名前とかきっと入ってるんだろうなあｗ

もしかしたらお一人で考えたのかもしれないし、何人かで考えたのかもしれないし、ブロックごとに別の方が考えたのかもしれない (だとしたらフランソワ～ロバートのブロックがやたらわからなかったのも納得) でもいずれにせよ、このキャスト表を考える作業はきっと楽しかったんだろうなあ、と思いました。😊😊

　

セーラーの4人が半分はわからなかったのだけど、 この4人の中に機関長も含まれてるとしたらトム・タンクスさんがそうなのかな？？　

ところでラットラー軍曹はどこ？？？パッセンジャーの誰か？ お名前的にウディ・アーレンさんかマーク・ハミルトンさんかロイド・ブリッジスさんのどなたかなのかな 元ネタ的には誰も太ってｎ……いやここまで見た感じ元ネタの役者さんのイメージはあんまりキャラに関係なさそう(名前借りてるだけ)な気もしますがｗ ロイド・ブリッジスさんがオーナー役でなければラットラー軍曹役で、マーク・ハミルトンさんがオーナー役でもいいな。。。かっこいい！

まあメインキャスト以外は誰が誰とか特に考えないで書いてらっしゃるかもしれないのですが、こうやって想像できる楽しみもあるよね。 何度見てもこだわりが伝わる素敵なスタッフロール、そして素敵なゲームです。
