what kind of crazy person do you have to be to not understand shu and valt's relationship, hiro morita himself said that shu and valt's friendship is the backbone of the series, it led to a lot of things happening, also the first letter in their names when put together are called VS, like versus, also these two would not be the way they are if not for each other, Shu started blading because of Valt, Valt became better because of Shu, to take them away and not factor in Shu in Valt's character and vice versa is just, it takes away all the nuances and layers within them. Also, a neat thing I noticed in the series is that it continuously repeats the whole blue and red motif (Valt and Shu, Aiga and Valt, idk about gachi help, Hikaru and Hyuga, Bel and Valt) it's such a recurring theme and it started with Shu and Valt like!!!

Inez Anne Hart in the love intrest & second main character of this little story i got cookin up, she was born in 1782(died in 1802) and in the current period of the story(2022) shes a ghost(itll make sense when i explain it DW)

Theodore(Theo) Wyatt Wilson in the main character, he was born in 2000 and he works at his late mothers antique shop, running it because hes a mamas boy and honestly he thinks antiques are sick asf.

brain is sludge rn so assorted damibeck thoughts. if they stay in one place for long enough they will end up semi adopting the nearest cat. damien is probably the best at prompting linebeck to do basic self care but beyond that he’s just taking shots in the dark until he gets better at it. bellum is ultimately the one looking out for the group’s health since he doesnt need to worry abt his own and uh oh he got attached. theyd read warrior cats. damien has like no experience with dungeons so he’s more than happy to hold linebecks hand for the first few ones. they do both have a years-long backlog of letters they tried to send to each other and when they meet back up it probably takes a week at the least to go through them all. they had sleepovers as kids and dont really have too much of an issue sharing a bed again as adults after meeting back up. it probably takes linebeck several days to tell damien every thing that happened while they were apart mostly because it’s a fair bit of bad news. it was probably a good idea to wait. they’re the most ‘adult’ of the group and that’s a bad sign. damien is obsessive and assumes in his favor more than he listens and harbors some guilt over some things he wants and has a story arc about that and linebeck’s whole. everything. is meant to be central most of the time so he’s just got stuff going on constantly. maybe he gets a smaller story arc having to do with his flaws in the relationship he deserves it.
