• I hope he was an overlord that you’d think twice before fucking with.

• I hope he was actually the opposite of the Husk we fucking love from all those Overlord fics of him.

• I hope that one of - if not the only reason - he thinks he can’t be redeemed/doesn’t want to be redeemed, is because he knows how fucking god awful he could be.

• I hope - in a way - Alastor coming along, rocking Husk’s shit and stealing his soul, gave Husk the biggest fattest reality karma bitchslap he needed to realise how vile he was dealing in souls - in people - as if they were mere commodities.

• I hope he runs into someone who he used to own, and, with that, I HOPE we see how he truly feels about his past.

Why do I think this is all important?

Because I think it becomes massively important when thinking about his budding association with Angel Dust.

Someone who is currently also dealing with that torment of not owning their soul, but someone who HASN’T dabbled on the flip side of being in the Overlord role.

Someone who would likely have only bad associations with Overlords.

How would Angel really react to knowing Husk’s overlord story in its entirety rather than the glimpse we see him learn?

I just wanna know HOW a reaper could reproduce? They are dead, essentially walking suicides, right? To me Undertaker and Claudia were married in life and when she died he couldn’t take it and took his own life, thus becoming a reaper. So still the same hc just……different? I guess? The intimacy is important to show the contrast between Thomas and Orlok in the movie. Thomas repeatedly fails throughout the movie. He fails communication and understanding test with Ellen, he fails self-imposed masculinity test in general, he fails sex and intimacy test with Ellen. He even fails fully acceptance and full love test with Ellen because till the end he expects that Ellen can be somehow cured from her powers, and killing Orlok should do the trick, meaning he’s incapable of just accept her fully the way she’s without trying to correct it. The part that Ellen was happy for awhile with Thomas because for that time her powers were blocked is a big giveaway, that it’s already in fact wasn’t working between them from the start because if she could only be happy with him while suppressing huge part of herself, then such foundation was bound to crumble. Orlok meanwhile fulfilled the crucial basics for Ellen - understanding and acceptance of her nature and powers in full, intimacy and sexual realisation the way Ellen wished and imagined.

yessss exactly - as much as I do like Thomas as a character, and as much as he might care for Ellen, he's not a good fit for her, and she knows this!.. She wants, desperately, the sort of emotional connection that he will never be able to give without first unpacking the prejudices and insecurities that instruct his entire life and his opinion of her; and while that is not impossible, it is still quite unrealistic, given his background and societal context.

The reason Orlok is able to think outside those bounds, despite also being a man from an even older society, is because he exists in opposition to its restrictions. His attitudes are not reflective of whatever people around him would've thought of women or queerness or neurodivergence when he was alive; they are, however, directly informed by his making "covenant with the devil." Unlike the proper, god-fearing, Rational people that dictate Ellen's daily life, he accepts and desires every aspect of her that is considered "sinful" - her sexuality, her lack of deference, her eccentricities; and it is this fundamental understanding that she craves.

TL;DR -

"you could never satisfy me the way he does" was about emotional connection, not sex - and, of course, Thomas went straight ahead and proved her right

a relationship that is blocking her powers and allows her to be "happy" as long as she acts normal and hides her real self is not a good relationship. regardless of how one may interpret her connection with Orlok, Ellen's marriage to Thomas is an allegory for being in the closet/masking - and I personally think she deserves better

First of all of this goes with the Will Byers has DID theory.

For the longest time I was convinced that Will created Eleven on the day he vanished in the woods but I don't think that's what has happened any longer. I think she was there long before. Ready to take over whenever Will needed her to use her superpowers to absorb what he couldn't face.

That's why Eleven is a strawberry. She was there ready to save Will whenever Lonnie sold off his son to buy dr*gs. It's why there is still a cola next the cherry in the 7-Eleven. Coca-Cola or just coke. Other sources also say that a Strawberry is a woman who willingly sells se*ual favors to buy dr*gs. (although willingly is hardly the word I would use here)

Listen‚ I understand people being upset about the possession plot line. It had an amazing build up and it wasn't used I was a bit annoyed at first too but it just wasn't meant to end in Arc 2.

It's unknown if Callum has fully done dark magic again‚ he probably has and if he hasn't I suppose it's been foreshadowed enough that he will. There's the overwhelming Kosmo mentioned‚ he still has Ziard's staff and maybe the cursed coin as well. He will also be even more powerful than before which means Aaravos possessing him would be even a bigger threat. We have Rayla making him promising he wouldn't choose her over the greater good yet we get his dark self confirming later he would do anything to save her (and Ezran and co but we know she's his biggest Achilles' Tendon and the narrative is leading into that). I believe the possession/dark magic plot line will be even juicier in Arc 3 considering what's being presented.

I think Manny will never truly understand Diego and Sid's issues with blood family. The three unite in the loss of it but Manny's mate and cub loved him for who he was and apparently never doubted that.

Diego's pack did not see his worth as a member but as a tool and weapon, their "love" was conditional, manipulative and fake

And Sid's family, from my understanding, simply hated his guts SO much they just prefered to abandon him and possibly leave that social creature to die in the wild.

Something I would've loved to see would be the trio bonding and seeing these things about each other. Manny loves and protects and connects with the boys but Sid and Diego can have an intimate connection bonding over hateful/abusive families and their struggle accepting that.

But maybe too could Diego and Manny understand each other by their serious masks formed by need and their need to protect their herd, as well as maybe issues of self-worth if said mission to protect their loved ones fail. Idk. (I think they had something a bit like that in the third movie? But focusing a lot on their masculinity and, not gonna lie, their fragile view of it- Idk, I'm not a born man, I don't get it-)
