After using a flat bench for so long at the gym it was so good to vary things up with an incline!
Chin ups
8 x BW
6 x BW + 2 kg
4 x BW + 2
2 x BW + 2
2 x BW + 2
These felt strong. We don’t have a rig at home, so it was great to finally be able to do some of these.
5 Rounds for Time (25 min cap)
10 Strict pull ups
20 Push ups
30 Abmat sit ups
1 minute rest after each round
Results: 24.44 mins
Took me ages lol.
Pull ups - So hard. Arms fatigued from benching/chin ups, so these were done in 2s and even singles, through all 5 rounds.
Push ups - Tried to do at least 8-10 reps unbroken right at the start, then just break up reps however in the second half.
Sit ups - These were good, just tried not to rest and keep a steady pace.

Strength | Basics Pull-ups 👀 ... changing grip (overhand, underhand, distance apart, etc.) makes all the difference and activated different muscles. Part of my birthday workout and reflection of the day 😜 A few things I’ve learned in my years on this earth... Make the best of any situation: life can be a shit show so find the positive In everything. Take care of your mind and body. Always fail forward: Life isn’t all wins so have a back up plan and bounce back. “Life if best lived backwards but can only be lived forwards” I read this somewhere and it’s so fuckin true. Always have snacks: ALWAYS Understand that there’s always more to learn. Some days will be lonely: learn how to be comfortable with yourself, by yourself. Close mouths don’t get fed: Don’t expect people to hand you shit. Fight for what you want. Really difficult times make some of the strongest people. Stay weird. Fuck vanilla. Some people suck: don’t take it personally, they probably didn’t get hugged enough as a child. You don’t get the time back not spent with family and friends. Use your time wisely and know your priorities. The first set felt heavy! The second and third flowed better. The hardest part about these were just getting them into the starting position over the shoulders.

Yaaaayyyyy I can do these at home! Thank you God for our squat rack - it’s arms can be moved high enough so I’m able to put a bar on the hooks and can pull myself up from there.
When I dead hang from the bar with bent knees, I’m juuuuuust hovering a few centimetres off the ground...

Completed: 18.25 mins
Row - Buy in took 4.20 mins and the cash out 4.17 lol. Didn’t want to go hot out of the gate with the initial row, but in hindsight I think I should’ve pushed it a little harder. The last row was tough! Thought I’d be able to crack sub 4 mins... Damn. While I was rowing Connor told me I was being noisy lol.
Double unders - These were fine, I only did round 2 unbroken. The ceiling is low enough that the rope hits it most times with reps and it puts me off even though it shouldn’t ‘cos I’m still able to continue. But I don’t want to go outside ‘cos it’s cold and I’m a wimp.
Dbl KB deadlifts - Used 24kg kbs. These were harder than I thought they would be! I guess the row and DU taxed my forearms somewhat. Round 1 was split 10/10, round 2 - 14/6 and managed to push through with the last round and go unbroken.
Burpee box jumps - 20″ height. These were fine - got faster/more efficient in rounds 2 and 3 when I got more confident jumping up without the fear of hitting my head on the ceiling lol.

I have rings and a TRX for ring rows. Both are good, but, neither provided the stimuli I was looking for, so, I became creative and used my barbell! I dreamt about chocolate doughnuts last night. With it being Father's Day, after stuffing my face with dim sum, we dropped into @bagelrypool and picked up some of their delicious vegan doughnuts. Mine was chocolate and banana and it did not last long! I'm not a vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but some of my favourite desserts are vegan including these doughnuts! .
