I saw a brighter world beyond myself: Chapter 2
"He must have something useful in his bag, right?
Michael moves slowly when he shifts his bag into a more accessible position. Holly’s arm moves along with his, letting go seemingly the last thing on her mind. Her eyes are still fixed on Batty who crouched down to examine the paper. They’re wide, a little terrified even though she has nothing to fear. Michael will face the consequences, no matter what happens.
With a hand deep in his bag, trying not to make a noise he will regret instantly, Michael tries to recall what exactly he threw inside. He doesn’t remember much other than Dustin’s bewildered look when he cut off the curtains—which he mostly only did to see his reaction and because he can. If he leaves the castle in a cloak-and-dagger operation he will leave his parents with a present. Or steal something, seems more accurate.
It isn’t like Michael has never done anything illegal before, and stealing half the curtains in his own room should hardly count as a crime.
The object he finally feels at the bottom of his bag is a different story."

Knight-Commander Theodore Marshall
Carrion's former mentor and father figure, and the commander of the Knights of the Silver Order. Just a Dad trying his best. Regrets nothing more than leaving the boy he knew as Reverence for dead. Unfortunately for him, Reverence Carrion is alive, and wants him dead...

Today I was watching Toddler Ro run around the colony doing his thing (mostly bugwatching) when he started to get tired. He's perfectly capable of going to bed by himself, but Henry came over to carry him to his crib anyway. I bet Ro thinks Henry is the coolest big brother ever. <3
Andy drew a very helpful label/sign on the ship landing platform in case the landing beacons weren't enough to let passing shuttles know where they were supposed to touch down.
We had guests from the Hare Clan, and one of them was our ex-colonist Boomer, who we let go in a Diplomatic Marriage event.
He is not married to Eggardus yet, but the Vikings of the Hare Clan did entomb him in a warcasket. Poor boy. I might not have liked him very much, but I think he deserved better than to be reduced to little more than a machine of war.
Then when the guests from the Hare Clan were departing, they left me this very thoughtful gift. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or not. Part of me thinks it would be a very weird thing to use, but another part of me thinks it would be really, really funny.

I think the biggest character note I use for Junko/Ryoko as a whole is her response to Mukuro telling her to kill the Madarai.
Because - despite imagining it very clearly, and despite Yasuke being at risk - Ryoko can't do it. She can't kill them. She doesn't care about hope or despair, but she can't kill the Madarai - who have been trying to kill/capture her from their first meeting - even if it means being able to reunite with Yasuke. She can't. She refuses.
And it's clear from Mukuro's reaction that Ryoko was expected to kill them. Mukuro is confused. Puzzled. This is not the way this scenario is supposed to go. Ryoko is supposed to kill the Madarai so that her hope (seeing Yasuke again) would overcome her despair (not seeing Yasuke again, being forced into this horrible choice).
But Ryoko...doesn't.
It is the thing that Junko scripted out and told Mukuro would happen and then it doesn't. Which means that Junko incorrectly predicted herself.
Mukuro sends Ryoko on anyway because Junko would be disappointed if the scenario ended like that - without the climax - but the scene still stands.
Junko says later that she predicted everything perfectly, but she didn't.
Junko thought Ryoko - she, herself - would murder to get to Yasuke.
But she didn't.
And that's the core of a lot of my characterization of Junko and Ryoko.

Suddenly wondering if during the brief year Elena was wearing the amulet of Avalor (as opposed to being trapped inside it), the amulet ever summoned a Disney princess for help like it did for Sofia multiple times. And if so if bb!Esteban ever got to witness it happening the way that Amber got to do a couple times w/ Sofia.
Specifically wondering if maybe, Elena could summon Elsa while Esteban was there. And then Elsa and Esteban could talk, and she could maybe help him see that even though he feels alone right now, he isn't and that he is strong and good and worthy of love--even though she understands how hard/unbelievable/impossible this seems (since Elsa herself has only recently come to this conclusion for herself through Anna's love and support).
(And maybe Elena overhears this and is devastated to hear how alone and self-loathing and sad her cousin feels and she makes it her mission to show him he is very loved). And then maybe, the Dark Times™ don't happen as a result of the much-needed validation that Esteban gets when he needs it.

Anyone else get the feeling that Hunter is a MASSIVE tickle monster but can not handle it one bit when his brothers turn the tables on him?
Because I do.
He loves to make them laugh and will pull them into silly tickle fights but they go to get him back and he just crumbles. He tries to hold back his reactions but it never lasts long.

Just looked into the abyss but honestly fucking hilarious that the main pro/anti ship discourse in the AA fandom is the traditional het one. It's always toxic as fuck no matter where it happens but it's so fucking funny to me. I'm in the Krisnix trenches where we're looking at the most toxic absuive dynamic imaginable and going "yeah but we can all agree they fucked right?" And I never hear shipping discourse beyond like "isn't it great that we don't have to deal with that any more" or fear about it coming back with the AJ trilogy. Where as the people who looked at the male and female protagonists and assumed they're dating as that's what like 90% of media does are fighting for their lives out there in discourse land. Objectively funny.

we've just had one of the weird as fuck panic attacks we used to get as a teenager that feel really different to the ones we normally get now, but I don't think we've had one like this since maybe early 2016 so I have no idea what to make of us having one again now

One thing about Daiji is that he frankly doesn't care. He can and does feel emotions, but they're way more superficial than substantial. He only really feels some amount of affection (which over time became bona fide loyalty) towards Douma, and that's mainly because of everything Douma's done for him during both his human and demon lives, but beyond that it's only really annoyance and anger/contempt at others (be they humans or fellow demons) that he feels 'on the regular'. Rarely, he might also feel some sort of mild kinship towards people with heterochromia, since he understands the struggles they go through in light of their 'special' traits considering he himself experienced the worst of it in his life as a human.
Daiji has always been more of a logical person than a sentimental one, and after his transformation into a demon he's only further discarded his emotions, gladly so. He no longer fears death or pain whatsoever, he doesn't particularly care if others from his entourage get killed either, and he doesn't feel any sort of pity nor mercy no matter if the other person used to be a friend or not. His general state is that of a neutral tranquility - he doesn't necessarily feel equivocally happy, but he doesn't feel sad either; he simply exists, freely and comfortably so.
For specifics, the only times he's ever felt angry in interactions thus far have happened because someone he considers inferior (coughs. Nakime) looked down on him; and the only times he's ever felt affection and deep loyalty have been because of/towards Douma (which I'd say Daiji would do quite literally anything for - even betraying Muzan for him if needed to). Also, the only person I can think of that Daiji knows he'd immediately put before himself is Douma - but if Douma were to die either way, Daiji would put himself first instead and cheat death in that sense (he doesn't see the point in dying for nothing, and besides - if Douma dies, Daiji is going to have to continue the Eternal Paradise in his stead since not doing so would feel akin to spitting in Douma's face).
