Stripes

Tom was sent to greet a new temporary crew member. Riggs provided him with a brief overview of the alien. They were a Chendro, some sort of insect-like species from a few systems away.

Tom greeted the alien in the same, boring, but safe way,

“Greetings. Welcome aboard the Starship Navis. My name is Tom, I am the human navigator sent to meet you and acquaint you with the ship before we leave.”

The alien let out a series of clicks which was translated moments later.

“Thank you, human Tom. I am quite pleased to be working with you for these next few cycles.” The alien followed with an intricate bow that Tom had no way of reciprocating. He settled for a respectful nod of the head.

The two wandered around the Navis, with Tom occasionally breaking the silence to point out a few key landmarks or an odd, obscure rule.

Eventually, Tom felt the Chendro’s gaze on him. In fact, he realised, he had felt it for quite a while now. He glanced over to see they’re mantis-like eyes locked on him.

“Hey man, I don’t want to sound rude or anything but staring is kinda considered rude to us,” Tom pointed out.

“Oh!” The alien quickly averted their gaze. “My apologies, I was simply admiring your wonderful patterning.”

“My... what?”

“Your stripes,” The Chendro clarified. “I think they’re quite stunning.”

Tom looked away, surprisingly flustered by the alien’s openness. 

“Umm...Thanks...” He didn’t have the heart to ask the alien what they were talking about. Perhaps it was a human thing he wasn’t aware of. Having secret stripes wouldn’t be the weirdest thing he’d learnt about his species.

The rest of the tour went well after that. Tom noticed that the Chendro kept it’s eyes away from him; usually straight in front if them. He appreciated the alien’s willingness to adapt to what was probably to them, a weird social convention.

Later, once the tour was done and Tom was settled in his quarters he asked Constance the question that had been burning in his mind for a good portion of the cycle.

“Hey, Constance?”

“Yes Tom?”

“Do humans have stripes?”

“Humans do have what is called Blaschko's lines. They are only visible to humans in rare cases but are seen to those with vision in the ultraviolet range. Is that what you’d be referencing?”

“Huh. I guess...” Tom was surprised by the information. Why the hell had he never heard of humans having stripes? He felt like he would’ve picked up on that in biology. But yet again he could have been asleep for that particular lesson.

“Constance, are Chendro able to see UV?”

“Yes.”

“Ah, ok. That answers a lot actually. Thanks for the help.”

“It was my pleasure, Tom.”

Tom continued to sit there for a while contemplating this new information. He even found a few pictures of visible stripes. He could relate to the Chendro then. They were pretty cool. And to think that every human had patterns like that.

soooo at the end of contemporary american poultry when abed is doing the end-of-episode narration about being ok with being an outsider they to a pan over the study group and jeff and britta, and annie and shirley are paired off, pierce is talking to himself, and troy's talking to abed while abed is looking around at everyone, probably doing an internal monologue about being an outsider. i assume that this was a directorial mishap, and pierce and troy were supposed to be paired off, but the thought of abed internal monologue-ing about being an outsider while troy is like ":( why is he ignoring me :(" early in their friendship (like... 8 months in lmao depending on when cap takes place) is soooo

like idk how to explain it but first of all, if it was maddies, what makes her think this is how it would be announced? and what gives her the right to look over bucks shoulder like that assume? second, why couldn't it be bucks? why is the first thing that comes to her mind when she sees an ultrasound of a baby on her sons phone, is that it's her daughters ?? why couldn't it be bucks?

i'm glad buck realised that he wasn't going to be a father, that hes just a donor. i believe wholeheartedly that eddie had to knock some sense into him

The reason why I can't take some Buddie shippers seriously is because they will completely ignore stroylines we see onscreen and only pick the parts they like.

Like they pretend Buck only likes Tommy because of his similarities to Buddie but ignore the part where Buck asked Tommy for a tour, and asked him out for drinks before even knowing that he liked Muay Thai, liked basketball and so on..

They will also ignore the part where the only similarities between Eddie and Tommy are their hobbies and the fact that Eddie was in the army, yet Buck never showed any interest in Muay Thai or Basketball before Tommy showed up.

listen, i find it funny as shit and sure, there is nothing you can put past 911, but the fact of the matter is Tim and by extension Oliver wouldn't let Buck's first queer relationship to turn out to be based on a lie, like... i know it's been months ago and people are reaching so far on both sides of the aisle, but i think everyone should read those interviews again about the bi Buck storyline, how tenderly and realistically they were handling it and how they wanted to make sure it was good rep.

Tubbo had ramon first and then pac had richas and tubbo had sunny :) I think the first time they see tubbo swaddling and holding ramon they fall in love with the sight and realize they want him living with them and being a parent to ramon too....

How I feel about this character: He used to be my favourite. Now I can see more irritating sides of him. He definetely isn't perfect. Very memtally ill. Love him regardless. I think s2 blaine works better for klaine but i like s3 onwards more as a character because he's so silly lmao.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Prefering later blaine rather than s2? Is that unpopular? Also bliane cheating was extremely out of character. But I think that's a common opinion too.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish we got to see more of his issues with his family. If not directly maybe we could have had him talk about it with Kurt. I feel like his parents wouldn't approve of him and kurt so I don't think they would just allow him to transfer to a public school for a boy. I think he had a huge fight with his parents where they kicked him out and he lived in his grandparents's house during s3-4.

bonus! random scenario i made up in my head: whenever klaine fights they both go to santana seperately and rant her ears off and she just nods and in the end says "ok then dump him" and they go "but i love him he's the love of my life " and santana just looks at them like "bruh" and they make up lol. (happens nearly every month in my hc they fight over the most stupid shit and santana is so used to it she texts finn "theyre at it again" "i cant with these 2" while klaine is ranting)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: The stroyline about her being a bad dancer and lazy is the stupidest thing I have seen. She is not lazy at all the girl has ambition but she's not as obnoxious as rachel is with it. Also she is a great dancer. Can we just remove this storyline please.

a headcanon fact: she always reserves tickets for all of the nd whenever she has a concert. even when some of them don't make it. but they all try to do so cause some of them don't see eachother a lot and her concerts are sort of a reunion thing for them.

Six months after the events of Fear The Walking Dead's last episode, an nuclear event occurred that terminated 89% of life as it is, most settlements didn't survive, nor did the animals and the plants, The blast is pushing all living life to the East Coast, which is more viable. At the moment two of the most viable locations are: The Haven lead by the Ottos and Alexandria lead by The Grimes and said settlements were in a constant fight for resources and survival. Further details about the plot can be found on the server.

Changes in the shows' stroylines depend on how it would affect the overall plot and whether it would make sense or not. The changes must be permitted by the admins and yes, we encourage creative world-building!

Since there are so many shows and moving parts within The Walking Dead Universe, we meshed the timelines a bit for the server, so we can get as many characters active as we can! 🙂

My co Admin and I really love the idea of group RPs, so within the RP there will be a big main plot that we construct and help guide the RP a bit, so everyone can join in! But as always the writers are free to branch off and have their own threads and you know side quests and all that! But the Admins will also be initiating group threads that anyone can choose to join like going on runs, or a large conflict, and so on! Discduo Tangled /TTS AU

Yes, another random discduo au, I just love these two, alright?

anygays, Basically Tommy is Rapunzel, Dream is Eugene, Phil is Mother Gothel (called Father Philza or Father) basic Tangled stroyline, Tommy wants to see the lanterns that light afar every night on his birthday. (I would use fireworks since it fits tommy better idk, but thats from Yong's country which doesnt come up till wayyyyyy past the TTS, much less tangled Timeline. I guess they give corona fireworks for the occasion but i feel like they'd use their own things for such a thing idk rambling here)

Dream is a theif who just stole the royal crown from Corona (idk what to rename it or who would run it, maybe Eret, sam, ponk, ranboo, tubbo and callahan r royals or in the circle? Techno isn't supposed to be there but everyone likes him so ye)

Dream gets knocked out by an enchanted disc instead of pan, and bested by a 16 y/o raccoon child, Instead of Pascal we have Clementine.(cause raccoon companions are reserved for Varian eternally)

They go out adventuring, when they go to the snuggly duckling, Quackity (owner) and las nevadas crew is there, slime basically is hookhand. Fundy is the clean up, foolish the bartender.

they journey, chaos and hijinks ensue. The boat scene where the Stabbington brothers betray Eugene(aka Dream) plays out, Philza gives Tommy the crown, blah blah, Dream gets arrested and is about to be hanged oop.

Tommy however, is very stubborn, and instead of going home w Phil, chooses to go after dream (and kick his ass). Tommy ends up revealing himself infront of everyone (including the royals) what he looks like while saving dream, he saves dream, tries to run away but one of them realizes its tommy and thinks dream kidnapped him only for phil to be betrayed by the stabbingtons and handed in but Phil holds Tommy hostage, kills dream, but gets tommy's hair cut, tossed into a river as he turns to dust, dream revived by magic jazz hands and happy ending until TTS timeline rolls in

How Tommy's powers would work- basically like rapunzels, but his hair is not 70ft long thank god, his hair and eyes glow red and it's more like a hand magic that's stored in his hair and makes it float.
