A lot of gatekeepers will hear “ace people are lgbt+” and they will say “um not cishet ones lmao.”
There are two things you could be trying to say when you say “cishet aces are not lgbt+,” and here they are:
1) “If you are ace, you are inherently lgbt+, unless you are cisgender and heteroromantic.” (That is, until I “discover” that you are cisgender and heteroromantic)
2) “If you are ace, you are not inherently lgbt+, but some lgbt people also are ace.” (That is, being ace is totally irrelevant to being lgbt+)
It’s a very minor distinction, but here’s my point. Let’s say you’re a “cishet ace exclusionist” (that’s aphobia, babey). Somebody walks up to you in lgbt+ space, or messages you on an lgbt+ forum, or whatever, and as a gatekeeping asshole it’s your job to discover if they are really lgbt+.
They say, “Hi, my name’s Skylar, I’m asexual.” (It’s rare that somebody’s sexuality comes up so quickly, but for the sake of ease, let’s leave it like this.)
Is Skylar “not lgbt+”? Or do you not yet have enough information? Skylar could be a trans or nonbinary individual. Skylar could be bisexual or pansexual or gay.
Is your instinct “yes, Skylar is welcome here unless I find out that they are a ‘cishet’” or is your instinct “no, Skylar is not welcome here until they identify themselves using a different lgbt identity.”
If your instinct is the first option, you’ve already essentially admitted that being ace is “enough” to make somebody lgbt. Skylar’s gender and sexuality don’t come up again, and Skylar has a great ace time with other lgbt+ people and carries on their life literally harming nobody, with their romantic orientation never becoming relevant. :) It’s not about “resources” and it’s not about privilege and it’s not about oppression, you’re just making it about hating on other-gender attraction of any kind: would you treat bi and pan individuals with other-gender partners (or attractions) this way? Would you treat trans individuals with other-gender partners (or attractions) this way? Don’t be a gatekeeping asshole, my friend.
If your instinct is the second option, you now have to get Skylar to “prove” that they are lgbt+, because you’re a piece of shit. By your standards, Skylar must be trans/nb or bi/pan/homoromantic to “prove” that they are lgbt+.
“I’m aromantic and cisgender,” Skylar says. “I actually desire no romantic or sexual relationship at all.”
Has Skylar “proved” that they are lgbt? They aren’t heteroromantic, after all.
“Yeah, Skylar’s lgbt, because they aren’t heteroromantic.” So you’ve admitted that ace people are lgbt+ even if they are not also bi, trans, gay, or lesbian.
“No, Skylar’s not lgbt, because they are not bi/trans/gay/etc.” So then your argument “not cishet ones lmao” actually means nothing, because Skylar does not identify as “het” or experience other-gender attraction at all (not heterosexual, not heteroromantic, not het-anything). Hmmmm looks like it was just aphobia all along.
Y’all can take your shitty “um not cishet ones lmao” and go. Y’all have no critical thinking skills.

My Zener Diode notes for Electronic class. I switched to digital notetaking last year and it was the best decision I made. It was perfect for online classes. I reduced a lot paper and save so much time! Whenever I have exams or quizzes, I don't have to take pictures, export them to pdf then submit. I can just directly export from Goodnotes then submit them!
If you are interested the notebook I'm using, you can purchase them on Etsy. I also have offwhite version! I can make dark mode too if I see a lot of people demanding it :)

I want peace really badly right now.
That's the main roadblock for me.
When your life is this busy, you never can truly feel peace.
You can brew tea and sit by a window and read a book, but all the to-dos don't stop looming. You cannot be carefree.
I haven't had a single chance to be at peace for weeks on end and I know that it's not good for me.
I keep trying to achieve that feeling by self-care: cleaning my space, reading/writing/watching things I like, making tea over and over again, but it's all worthless until I can actually clear stressers out of my life and that's going to take a massive time commitment.
For now, I'm going to try to plunge in and stay in just until spring break, when I will finally have time. Lent starts this week, and I hope that through sacrifice I will reap more rewards. Giving up time on a screen to gain more time to work on tasks. Giving up unhealthy food to gain more strength in my body. Giving up stressing to gain inner peace.
Help me keep it together for another ten days, guys. Sending love to you, because I know I'm not the only one who needs it right now.

Welp, it happened. You failed a test and are pretty disappointed. Trust me, I’ve been there. Here are just a few steps I took (and recommend) for whenever this happens.
1. It’s okay to cry about it. I cried for a few minutes after I saw my test grade. I had never gotten an F on any test during my college journey, and I couldn’t believe I started university with failing my first test. Know that it’s okay to cry; it’s better than keeping it in.
2. Don’t put yourself down about it. Now that you’ve cried and let out all the emotions about it, remind yourself that it’s okay that you got an F. It is not the end of the world, even though it may seem like it. Don’t think it means you’re stupid or something, because it doesn’t; it just means you may need to study differently.
3. Talk to your professor or TA. Talk to the person who graded your test and ask if they can go over what you did wrong. Also ask if they can show you the proper way to complete a problem or answer a question you may have gotten wrong.
4. Ask more questions in class. If you’re like me, asking questions in class may frighten you. You may wonder if they’ll sound stupid, but chances are there’s at least one other student there with the same question. Don’t be afraid to raise your hand if you’re confused about something in class.
5. Go to office hours more. Try to go to as many office hours if you can. Even if you don’t have any questions, there might be students who have some there. Plus, you might think of some questions along the way.
6. Take advantage of other resources your school may have. My uni has both drop-in tutoring and tutorial groups, both of which are super helpful. Depending on the class, many TA’s also hold open office hours to review questions with multiple students. Find out if there’s other resources you can use that will help you.
7. Change your study habits. Did you study while watching Netflix? Maybe that didn’t help. Did you rewrite your notes? If you didn’t, maybe you should start. There are many ways to study, so find what works for you!
8. Form an awesome study group (if you do better in groups). Personally, I study better when I’m alone, but there are many people who study better in groups. Try to get a group of your peers together to study before the next test, or even just do homework together!
9. Eat and sleep well before your test. Make sure you’re eating as healthy as possible before your next test. Also, get as much sleep as you can. Make it a goal to finish studying early the night before so you can have at least 7-8 hours of sleep.
10. Remember, it’s going to be okay. I can’t stress this enough, because your mental health should be your priority. Be confident in yourself, and don’t stress yourself before a test. You’re going to do great.
I hope this helps everyone! Please let me know of any other recommendations y’all might have :)

Day 2|100 of productivity: July, 2nd
I started the day reviewing the physics subjects that I had missed on my last practice exam, followed up with some cardio at the gym and a quick nap.
In the afternoon I finished some electromagnetism questions that didn't complete in the morning and went for a walk, then I studied algebra from 3pm to 7pm and I'm going to rewatch spiderman homecoming now, I'm looking forward to see far from home saturday. (Aaand yes, that's what winter looks like at Brazil)
