I'm done. I'm done with everything. I'm done with people, I'm done with therapy, I'm done with life. I'm just done. With all of it. Done.

Helloooo
I finally found out what I have!!!
Wait, I just figured out I didn't tell you guys about it...
It's story time...
My psychiatrist prescribed me a "new" (and by new I mean they don't even know what it does yet) medicine and I just got every side effect possible. So I stopped taking it. But the side effects didn't stop. Then I started throwing up and pooping as a newborn. Then red dots appeared all over my body (ALL OVER). Then my face swelled so much I looked like the moon if the moon had chicken pox.
Anyway... people started telling me I had covid, so I believed and did what I had to do and what I could do (doctors and tests weren't an option). And then the pain started, everywhere! And all the other things got worse. So I had to go to the ER and what do I find out? All this were side effects from another medicine, the one I was taking for my tooth ache.
Now I have red dots everywhere, look like a corpse that stayed in water for weeks and have to take three new meds to stop this one from killing me.
My life is a joke.

So Fox News ran a story about how they think libraries are turning into drug-infested sex dens and I am shocked, shocked that I was never offered any drugs during my 15+ years working in libraries.

God I just fucking. I am so blown away when I watch any older movie. When they filmed on real sets and built elaborate props because cgi wasn’t an option. “Ohhh but you can tell it’s an animatronic it doesn’t even look reeaaallll” shut the hell your mouth. That is an actual physical thing that the actors could actually see and interact with. It is a billion times more “real” than the endless greenscreen bullshit you love so much.

"What if I fall?"
"Oh, darling, but what if you fly?"
I don't care if I fly - that'd obviously be perfect but as long as there's the possibility I fall, I won't even try to fly. Am I really the only person to think like that?! I think it's the only rational thinking possible...

I don't know how strictly accurate this is, but one of the things I find shocking about watching historical dramas is how many people there are around all the time---according to Madame de... (1953) a well-off French household in the Belle Epoque maintains a workforce of at least 3, and the glittering opera has staff just to open doors. According to Shogun (2024) you can expect a deep bench just to mind your household, and again, people who exist to open doors.
Could people....not open doors in the past? Were doors tricky, before the standardization of hinges? Because otherwise, the wealthy used to pay a whole bunch of people to do it for them in multiple contexts, and I find myself baffled.
