The bit about the menopause in Never Stop Blowing Up was superfunny but I don't want the youth to think it was just a joke because it's funny to speak like this about menstruation and menopause. If you happen to be next to menopausic women after you are 30, they will tell you about it and yes, it may involve a way heavier flow than before for a couple of years.

Quite literally, the nurse assisting a gynecologist I had an appointment with told me that she spent two years having to have a change of pants in her workplace (the hospital) because she bleeded so much. Sometimes she even fainted.

And since I'm at it, other things that apparently happen, as told to me by menopausic women are: temperature dysregulation (the famous hot flashes), your boobs get bigger, your vagina lubricate much less, difficulty regulating the mood swings (if you get angry, you get superangry superfast and it's hard to calm down).

Some of these traits are not changeable and some of them are. some people have a mix of traits (intersex). some people have a mix of traits (transgender). some people have a mix of traits (perisex cisgender).

issue: the M/F/I model of sex is vastly oversimplified and can make it difficult to tell what you need to pay attention to if you don't have a "matched set" of characteristics. IE if you say "women are at risk of [issue]", it's not clear if that issue is tied to hormones, chromosomes, etc. "Men are more likely to be colorblind" -> Should people on T be worried about suddenly developing colorblindness? No, bc colorblindness is linked to chromosomes. "XY chromosomes have a higher likelihood of colorblindness" -> oh cool

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

actually YES. i really used to hate misunderstandings / miscommunication as a story dynamic but i've come around to it bigtime & write it a lot now. like anything i think it can be done in a clumsy and unappealing way, but for certain characters / ships the trope compels me a lot now!!

25. What other websites or resources do you use most often when you write?

ooh. one of my favorite things to talk about!! the minutiae of writing >:) for the act of writing, i use discord to organize ideas and take notes, and then notion to put everything together (and organize the timeline if need-be). i also will at times put things into google docs for the express purpose of exporting them as an epub so i can have my phone read it aloud to me as i go through and edit (this helps a lot with spotting clunky / repetitive bits and also doesn't require me to read the whole thing out loud myself). for other sites i frequent: i use a thesaurus a lot to help replace words, and wikipedia to take superquick glances at topics that don't require deeper research. that's honestly all i use consistently, but depending on the fic i occasionally will reference google maps and google translate. i have from time to time also been known to use excel for particular logistics 🧮 🥰

the thing that tires me most is how long the customisation screen takes in splt3... remember in splt2 when u cld superquick click onto customization, how there wasnt some 10 second cutscene of the sky first? and how u could click through each option like u were speedrunning the whole thing, no 5 second wait between each selection? i wish they wld bring this back if not the ability to store several characters at once...

How about a feature where we can just make several characters for the next game?

Right now,if you want to change your species and stuff, you change a single character and having to go through character customisation over and over again can be annoying

So like-

Why not have something that goes "Oh I wanna play as an Octoling" *switches to a SEPARATE character*

Y'know what I mean?

Also more customisation options,be it hairstyles,clothes,several accessories at once,piercings,tattoos what not,maybe a creation aspect like in acnh
