What a false idea it is to make an offering to the divine, when in reality everything is sprouting forth from that ultimate source. I would rather be in a state of receptivity because that's precisely what I could ever be doing - to constantly receive from above. Even the notion of offering gratitude is pointless because even a grateful heart is a gift. If one were to be fully awakened, then humility is the only appropriate state one could be in - head & heart bowing in absolute surrender before the incessant shower of blessings...
