February Filth Fest - Day 14
Pairing: boyfriend!Mingi x fem!Reader Prompt: soft dom/sub, foodplay (valentine’s day themed) WC: 2.3k Summary: Valentines Day is stressful, even when you have a Valentine. Everyone wants it to be this big special day and yet, how? When you love a person this much, you need to get creative. Or not. TW/CW: I made this one pretty goofy not going to lie. I wanted to write some fluffy smut. Reader is referred to with fem pronouns and a vulva, unprotected penetration, sorta soft dom Mingi although really its pretty vanilla. Food getting eaten off of bodies. Not vegetarian/vegan friendly.
As usual this is fiction, not a manual. This is not meant to represent real events. Please do not interact if you are below 18. I can’t control what you read online but I can kindly ask that you don’t tell me about it in ANY way. This is for your safety and my comfort!
Mingi bursts out laughing, fist clenching around his chopsticks. “I cannot do this, I really can’t.” “Stop being such a pussy and eat some fish god damn it.” You hiss, muscles frozen in fear of following Mingi’s chuckling. Mingi’s near crying with laughter, chopsticks shaking as he reaches towards a slice of yellowtail topped with a sliver of jalapeno. Shaking from the force of his guffaws he knocks the fish off the rice it so lovingly sat atop. “My dad owns a sushi restaurant.” “Mingi!” “I can’t stop seeing his face!” “Mingi, fucking christ, why didn’t you tell me?” You lay there, carefully arranged banana leaves and raw fish topping your naked body. Youd seen it once in a movie, a little kitschy but seemed like a cute and sexy way to have a quiet valentines day dinner at home. A nice bonding experience that didn’t involve the stress and effort of going to some crowded restaurant with an overpriced pre-fixe menu.  It hadn’t occurred to you to ask your partner’s parents' occupations. “I didn’t think it was pertinent! I’m so sorry-” tears streaming down his face. “I’m sorry I ruined your very…creative…idea.” Gingerly pinching the leaves arranged on your body and picking them up, takeaway sushi and all, Mingi helped place them to the side, revealing more and more of your skin. It wasn’t the way you’d hoped the night would go. Ideally the pieces would’ve disappeared slowly as Mingi ate, feeding you as he discovered the tastiest slices. Leaves slowly dwindling, building anticipation. Not shuttling the pieces away in chunks so that you could re-robe yourself in shame to sit on the couch next to your boyfriend picking through the mess of fish and green.
“I mean, the sushi is really good!” Mingi’s cheeks bulge with rice as he chews. “Rice is well seasoned…nice thick cuts of-” You glare. You aren’t in the mood for him trying to lighten it. You want to sulk and pout and ruminate. You want him to feel the cool breeze from your silence wash over him. Nibbling at the pieces Mingi places gingerly near you, the ‘sensual’ jazz playlist you’d found hums along in the background. The foolishness of it all still stings even though some day this will be a found moment, right now you want to disappear and wail into a mug of wine.
Slowly the evidence of your misfire dwindles, only a small stack of leaves remaining which Mingi gathers into a tight bundle to throw in the trash. “Easy clean up!” The man valiantly attempts to lighten the mood and is once more shot down with a mute stare as he exits to throw away the decoration. Slouching back into the couch with a heavy sigh you pull your phone from your robe pocket. “Mission fail. Imma kms.” You message Wooyoung. “WHAT. How?!” A flurry of bubbles appear on your screen in all caps. “How dare he, he doesn’t know how much effort went into the layout, the presentation, the acquisition.” “His dad. It was his dad.” “His dad? His dad saw you naked?!” “No dummy. His dad owns a sushi spot.” “Shit.”
You quickly darken the screen as Mingi reenters and plops down next to you. He sits on the edge of the cushions, fidgeting. Fighting down what he wants to say. He knows sometimes you just need time to be upset but he hates knowing that you are. “You did set up the sushi really nicely, you know. I really appreciate that you noticed how much I’d been mentioning wanting to eat it.” He speaks softly with a small half smile. “Hmph.” Pouting he tries valiantly. “Please, as a gift can I love you now?” “I feel dumb and unlovable and I hate myself so no.” “Can I love you twice as much to make up for it?” He pesters one last time, swearing to himself he’ll give up if you say it again. You fold for him. Anybody would. Such a big man being so cautious and tender. “You’re such a big doof.” You soften into his side. His glow is contagious when he smiles as brightly as he does when you give in to his affection. It’s warm and comforting like a sunbeam in the middle of winter, reminding you that better days are just around the corner. “Plus you’ve given me a great idea for dessert…” he grins wolfishly.
You can’t believe that this man has you in such a similar position as he’d found you. Naked and layed out on the bed you shiver. The anticipation has you on edge more than the slight chill in the air. Mingi appears at the door, twirling a silver can in his hands. Very unceremoniously he tips the can to the ceiling and squirts a small pile of whipped cream into his mouth. “‘Ou r’a’y?” He can barely enunciate with his cheeks puffed out cutely. It’s hard to believe that he’s the same man that makes your gut twist and toes curl when he looks so adorable. “I’m naked aren’t I?” “And very appetizing.” He leans over and kisses you, a hint of sweetness lingering on his lips. Steadying yourself you close your eyes. It’s difficult to allow yourself to slip into the right headspace as you failed so spectacularly earlier. Flinching, the shake of the can is unmistakable. “Are you scared?” He teases. “Is my baby a scaredy cat? What’s the whipped cream going to do to you huh?” “Shut up, you’re worse than me.” You say through gritted teeth. “I’ve never once been scared in my whole life.” You frown, and look at him, “you’re such a bull-” you try to argue but are interrupted by the sudden shock. The can splutters, spraying fluffy cream directly onto your breasts. “-shit Mingi! It’s cold hurry!” You jolt and squirm at the sensation. He slaps your thigh, “if you keep moving it’ll melt off you onto the sheets and then you’ll really be sorry.” With one flick of his tongue he collects the sweet sticky substance, pleased with your reaction. He lowers his head to suck and swirl around your nipple, in the guise of collecting any remnants. “Y-yess,” you hiss and arch into him. “Oh you like that huh?” He shakes the can, pressing the nozzle to dispense more onto the other side. “Mingi- please-” you choke out as his warm mouth remedies the cold touch of the whipped cream deliciously. He lavishes the same attention to your other breast, drawing the sensitive skin between his lips. Blood flows to your sex, leaving you tender and tingly, hyper aware of the arousal leaking from your slit. “You want some?” He asks, lips parting from you with a pop. “I can put it on my-” “If you hope to put your dick anywhere near my pussy you know my answer.” “More for me then,” he shrugs, dispensing a line from the valley of your sternum down to your belly button, chasing the fluff the way back up. “Open.” You obey easily, tongue poking out and waiting. Carefully he squirts a tiny star from the can onto your tongue just enough for a taste, not enough to fill your mouth. “Meanie,” you whine and pout, trying not to smile. “You love me.” “You’re lucky I do.” “I know,” he smiles, placing the can on the nightstand and slinking between your legs. “I’m really lucky.”
Two of his fingers slide along your slit, circling, teasing. Your hips rock with him, always eager to bend to even the smallest of his touches. It helped that even his small touches felt large due to his size. Everything from his strong thighs, large hands, pointed nose, and thick cock made you needy and pliant against your daily nature. “Oh you’re ready aren’t you? My sweet thing. Mine. Mine. Mine.” He sucks small bruises along the insides of your thighs as punctuation. Leaving a physical representation of his sincerity for you to muse over if you ever wondered how he felt. He practically pulls your ass into his lap, tilting you with him as his form hovers over yours. Cock hot and heavy, he slowly rubs himself against you, sharing in your essence before pushing himself into your cunt. “Jesus FUCK,” you grit your teeth. “You really have to be so fucking huge don’t you?” “You really have to be so tiny?” He pants. “No matter how many times i fuck you-” he grunts and rocks himself back, “-still so tight-” he presses into you, bony vline meeting with the backs of your thighs with a deep sigh, “-but we always make it fit.” He nuzzles and kisses and dotes on you from your lips to your jaw to your shoulders. A big warm wolfish man curled over you protectively as the shared air heats between you. The burn of the stretch is fleeting, a flash that fades into pressure. The back of your throat empathetically choked by the depth he reaches inside of you. Although you know it isn’t possible, scientifically speaking, it feels like the head of his cock is pressing against the knot of your belly button with each readjustment of your bodies. You start to rock your hips, grinding your clit against him slightly, just enough to provide that pleasant floaty feeling of anticipation. The thud of your heartbeat has never felt so clear, magnified in your chest, pumping along in chorus with your ministrations. Slowly Mingi steadies you, palm resting heavy on your hip, leaning in closer to kiss you as he grabs a pillow from your side. Pulling you up to bridge your hips the pillow slips beneath your hips, propping you up just enough to ease the angle. “There we go, that’s better. Right?” He coos, thrusting into your slick warm heat. There’s an ease to each motion that comes with practice, with several bumps and bruises and early ends to sexpeditions, with knowing you. Really knowing you.
The slow drag churns your insides, summoning moans and groans. “It feels so good,” you mutter in wonderment. “Can you feel how much I love you, babe?” His thumb circles your clit eliciting another stifled moan. “Love you so fucking much. Wanna keep you all stuffed and happy every day of your life.” His pace increases as you flutter and clench around him. “You like that? Want me to take care of you, Princess?” You do. You like when he takes care of you but you hate to admit it. Even the part of you that wants to be worshiped like this feels a spark of shame that she isn’t doing more to please her man.
For what it’s worth Mingi loves watching you let go. The moment he finds the small spot with his cock that makes your eyelids flutter and mouth drop he knows he has you. It’s enough for him that you let him love you like this, steady and strong and without any need for showmanship. Getting to appreciate you without a sideways glare or smart retort in some act of both self deprecation and self defense. He finally feels worthy of the choked back whines you hold in your chest. Shuddering you cum around him without warning, cursing under your breath. Body buzzing your eyelids fall heavy into post orgasmic haze. “Mingi-” you mutter breathily. Even hearing his name so instinctively called has him fighting to keep focus. “Yeah honey?” “Cum, please,” you ask sweetly, face scrunched tightly as your thighs quiver and hips bridge. “Please,” you beg.
The tone of your voice speaks to some deep animalistic trigger in his brain. The whines coming from you driving his hips faster and faster. He doesn’t want to lose control like this but when you’re begging him who is he to refuse? “Fuck, really? So soon?” He’s panting and cursing as sweat drips between you. “Mhm, please- ah-AH-fuck- I need it.” Hands grappling his shoulders, you pull yourself to him, squeezing with every part of your body, grinding and grasping in some meager attempt to merge the two of you. Mingi holds you tightly as you do him while you cum, letting your walls work him to completion. His breathing stops, all noise caught in his throat as he pumps his cum deep into you. Air finally releases from his lungs with a shuddered low whine.
In the sudden silence of your bedroom you lay your head on his shoulder feeling the rise and fall of your chests. “You’ve gotten stronger.” “I’m training with Yeosang now.” He laughs, shaking the both of you. “I’m going to need to wear some more full coverage shirts at the gym tomorrow.” “Oh come on I didn’t break skin! Fuck me worse next time if you’re going to complain!” “Not a chance.” Both of you giggle. The sweat dries sticky on your back and thighs. Slowly you feel the telltale pins and needles in your ankles from sitting kneeling on top of him. The body origami you have to do isn’t graceful, a gloop of cum unceremoniously splurting forth from you. The gory aftermath of a good romp isn’t new to either of you. Mingi tries to hand you a tissue but you wave him off as you clench and waddle to the toilet.
Door open, he stands naked in the arch with a glass of water. “Here or bedroom?” “Isn’t it a little awkward to drink water while you’re…using the toilet?” “Bedroom.” “Nah give it, I’m tired.”
By the time you’re done cleaning yourself off he’s laying on top of the sheets in a clean pair of boxers, scrolling on his phone. The failed Valentine present feels so distant already as you snuggle into his side.
“You’re still sticky!” You whine. “We don’t have to cuddle.” With a pout you wrap your arm around his waist and squeeze the unflexed muscles. It’s just a normal night. Maybe that’s all it ever had to be.

The Dinner Diaries, Day 4 - Knowing Your Limits, Treating Yourself
One of the big things about being a spoonie is knowing your limits and knowing when a treat is not only a good idea but damn near necessary. Even having had days of recovery, I'm still not doing so well after three weeks of nightmare at work.
This is why I keep a small discretionary fund for Emergency Takeaway Dinner. It's not much, but it's enough for maybe once a month or so, depending on the takeaway. My problem is that because I have gluten issues on top of everything else, the types of takeaway I can actually get are ... limited at best. Not entirely cut off, though. A fair few places will do gluten-free options, and if you have anxiety like I do and hate asking for speciality dishes, there are some types of cooking that are gluten-free just by their nature. Here are the three I know about off the top of my head:
Indian: If you avoid samosas and any of the bread options, Indian food is pretty much entirely gluten free. Most of the dishes don't involve flour for thickening the way a lot of sauces do. And even onion bhajis are okay because those use gram flour, which is a type of chickpea flour and naturally gluten-free. I miss naan bread, but at least I can have Indian food (even if the stuff I make at home is much better).
Sushi: While most Japanese food needs to be avoided because of the soy sauce (or, like, breaded things like tempura and katsu), sushi's pretty safe if you make sure to use gluten-free soy sauce (also known as tamari) instead of regular soy sauce. Miso soup is also fine.
Thai: Like Indian, most Thai dishes are naturally gluten-free. They tend to use rice noodles instead of wheat noodles, stuff like that. So by and large, as long as you're avoiding anything breaded and using tamari instead of soy sauce if you want soy sauce on it, Thai's safe.
The options are pretty minimal, but it's better than I thought they were when my gluten issues first started. As for me? Tonight? I haven't had sushi in far too long so I am having some now. I have put in weeks of miserable graft and I deserve raw fish and well-prepared sushi-rice. So if you're feeling like you should treat yourself but struggle to because of gluten issues? Here are some good tips.

Kyoto part 2: Nishiki Market Food and Drink, Liquor Museum (2/10 evening)
Nishiki Market is one our of first memories of Japan from our first trip in 2017. Similar to Tsukiji, it's a fish and produce market, but unlike Tsukiji, it's a long covered walkway of sellers and shops along the inside. Because it isn't exclusively considered a fish market, it's a good place to try out dishes and snack as you go, as well as pick up food for dinner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We started with a quail egg stuffed baby octopus and a small beer, then grabbed a bottle of sake to bring home after tasting some local sake. We found a section that goes into the buildings on either side and has a bunch of smaller stalls with specific food and standing area for eating, and tried everything we thought might be nice. These pork gyoza (steamed or fried dumplings, in this case fried) are the best I have ever had. The stall also had great karaage (fried chicken). Another stall carried several different kinds of locally flavored beers and highballs using whisky and shochu. We tried matcha beer, which was very refreshing, and strawberry blended whisky highball. Also pictured but we did not try was beef sashimi and sushi and tempura.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We did, however, have turban in the shell and grilled tuna with garlic. Before we left, there was a stall probably geared to first time visitors who are unfamiliar with sake that had glasses of sake for 100 yen, around 75 cents. They were tasty, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I placed a lot of markers on our map from the last few years of watching videos and seeing posts about different bars and restaurants, not expecting to make it to all of them but considering stopping in if we were nearby. Near the market is a bar called Kyoto Liquor Museum, which is more of a top end Western style cocktail and whisky bar than an izakaya. When we got there, we were one of the only customers, and the bartender asked us to sit somewhere that we we would be close to him so we could chat. He was a recent resident of Kyoto, having moved for his new wife, and originally from Turkey. He was very knowledgeable, and a little opinionated, about whisky and that was helpful for discovering new whiskies. I tried several that would have put me into the easy $100+ bill situation in the US, but ours was around $50. One was specifically bottled for the bar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We wanted to grab a real dinner, and there is a very well known omurice (omelette over rice) restaurant nearby, but it has been featured on some well knownYouTube channels, so it's now very popular, reservation only yadda yadda. We didn't plan ahead to get one, and that's ok. One of my takeaways from this trip is that if it's been talked about a bunch on the English speaking internet, it's going to be difficult to try. We came across a small shop that served an original version of okonomiyaki, a grilled savory pancake made from cabbage and batter than can include anything from bacon to seafood and cheese. This shop served negiyaki and used a lot of spring onion (negi = ねぎ = onion). It was delicious. The tofu steak was also really good, grilled tofu with sauce on top.
On the way home we passed a liquor store that carried large cans of the sake we drank when we got engaged and this giant bottle of Japanese whisky for somewhere between $6 to 7 dollars. I cannot explain her mischievous face. Miranda got the glass bottle of sake with the sakura flower in it, as expected, because it's cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be clear, we did NOT buy that bottle of whisky.

hi hi! list five things that make you happy, then put this is the askbox of the last ten people who reblogged something from you! spread the happiness and positivity! <3
oooh ok hi! I haven't done one of these in what feels like ages
having my own room like it's nowhere near done and all my stuff's in boxes and there's still 200kg+ of paper still in here that I am terrified of and I know I have to move probably tomorrow and everyone keeps forgetting the very specific room arrangement that has to go on because of the room and the furniture and all that but. I don't have to put up with snoring anymore
drawing because well. it's one of my earliest loves. I still vividly remember when my cousin was drawing a parrot and we were at my great-grandmother's place eating chinese takeaway and then and there I decided that I was gonna be good at art too
old things! I have this ugly chocolate brown little jug I got from the op shop the other day because my m*ther was looking at blinds in a shop I don't want to set foot in for very weird reasons and I love it. I have pens in it. I'm gonna keep paintbrushes in an old juice tin. I'm gonna use an old hymn board as a noticeboard for myself. hell the newest bit of furniture in my room will be from the 1970s (my desk, built by my m*ther and grandpa) and my bed is at least 109 years old and had at least one person die in it. not to mention my... apparently now extensive record collection (considering I've been collecting for five years and my dad has specifically given me money to buy records before... yeah. I've been moving them and I understand why that one guy said they were a pain in the ass to)
my soups... ok I can't really call them 'my' soups because they're packet soup kits that I just do my own spin with (aka adding so many mushrooms. and too much meat but my god the amount of mushrooms I use lol) but they're so good they give me so much will to live and agh! I genuinely can't wait for the march and june long weekends (well I hope the june one still happens. it's been a staple for so long and I look forward to it as an anchor point) so I can make those soups up and spend some time eating that and chips and watching the things I always do at that time of year. on a similar note, I really want to get sushi from the very expensive place in town but I can't afford to :/
mademoiselle dog... I love her. she's been coming in for cuddles now (probably because she loves my rug and I don't blame her it's such a nice texture) and my god she's so wonderful
thanks for asking!! finding actual happiness and/or joy in things lately has been. uh. tough. for multiple reasons outside of having episodes (in both types too, since I've mostly been angrier instead of overly happy) but y'know. if I can find five things it can't be that bad

Time for Change – Part Five
Pairing: Cillian Murphy x Reader
Warning: Smut
Words: 3,388
Notes: Not based on Cillian’s life. This is fiction guys!
Tumblr media
The week following your night at the Westin with Cillian, you and Cillian caught up again, this time at a different hotel and without spending the entirety of the night together so that you wouldn’t raise any suspicions.
Then, the weekend after that, it was his birthday party and you and James were invited over to his and Danielle’s house to celebrate.
Chloe stayed with her grandmother and you were keen to see Cillian again. At the same time, you were nervous. It was the first time you were going to be around Danielle after you slept with Cillian and it certainly didn’t help that, despite your sense of clarity around everything, you were developing feelings for your brother-in-law.
The text messages between you and Cillian had become constant and not just sexual in nature. He called you daily when he could and you even met up on occasion, sometimes at the park when you both went for a run or sometimes at the local bookstore.
He was different to James. He had always been kind and you were interested in the same things. Occasionally, you would still teach the piano to his kids and he made sure that, every time you came over, Danielle wasn’t home.
When there was a chance, you kissed and held hands. You got to know him, even to the point where, when James bought Cillian a birthday present, you rolled your eyes, thinking that it was unsuitable.
‘He does not drink spirits James. Just shelf it and I will go to the bookstore and get something else for him, yeah?’ you chuckled and James looked at you somewhat confused.
‘You seem to know him well, your brother-in-law. I could almost be led to believe that you have a little crush on him’ James said, raising an eyebrow.
‘I ran into him a few times at the book store so I have an idea what he likes James. That’s all’ you explained, cheeks flushing.
‘Relax Y/N, I was just joking. I was thinking though, you know how Cillian had spoken about his holiday house down south the other time?’ James asked.
‘Yes, what about it?’ you asked.
‘Well, perhaps we can ask him for the key and get away for a weekend, just you and me. This might get you in the mood for some sexy time for a change’ James said, causing you to sigh.
‘James, we talked about this. I am just going through a few things’ you explained, not wanting to be with James in any intimate way knowing the big secret he was keeping from you.
‘It’s still about my affairs, isn’t it? You know, if you would have been more attentive as a wife and less occupied with Chloe’s needs and your job, I wouldn’t have had to cheat on you’ James said angrily, making it out to be your fault.
‘So, it’s my fault you fucked your secretary and knocked her up?’ you asked angrily.
‘How did you know?’ James wondered.
‘I just do James. It’s for another time to discuss. Not today. Today, I will pretend to be a happy wife and we will go to my step sister’s house for the party. Then tomorrow, we will talk about what we are going to do moving forward’ you suggested.
‘You know, this is all your fault Y/N. At least Laura gave me a child which is something you were incapable of doing. You didn’t want to fucking try going through IVF’ James then shouted angrily.
‘Because we didn’t have the money, James! And money is what keeps you here now, by my side, isn’t it? You don’t want to pay support for Chloe and me and you don’t want to miss out on my inheritance. Is that it? Because if you leave me, you don’t get anything’ you yelled at him as, suddenly, you had to reach for the corner of the kitchen bench as a wave of nausea washed through your body.
‘Chloe isn’t my daughter, nor is she yours. I have a daughter now and you can’t have children, which is probably for the better because, obviously, you are delusional and self-centred, blaming me for what happened instead of yourself’ James yelled, holding onto your shirt tightly and angrily.
‘Oh, I am self-centred?’ you barely managed to say before pushing his hand away and making your way to the downstairs bathroom rather quickly.
As soon as you walked through the door, you dropped to the floor and leaned over the toilet.
‘Jesus Christ’ you huffed as another bound of nausea overcame you and you emptied your breakfast into the toilet.
Just as you were in the bathroom, you heard the front door of the house close shut and you realised that James had left, which was probably for the better.
‘This fucking sushi place’ you growled to yourself, regretting your takeaway choice for the previous night before quickly brushing your teeth and making your way to the bookstore.
***
At around 7 o’clock that night, you arrived at Cillian’s and Danielle’s house without James by your side.
When Danielle enquired about James’s whereabout, you informed her that he would arrive a little later and so he did.
She could sense that you had been fighting and was quick to offer you a drink, which you gladly accepted.
After wishing Cillian a happy birthday and giving him his present, you socialised with Danielle and her friends and, every time you spoke to her, you felt guilty about what you were doing.
Yet, you couldn’t help but glance over towards Cillian on numerous occasions. He looked incredible and you loved seeing him smile.
Danielle, however, seemed unhappy and a mutual friend by the name Natalie eventually asked her what was wrong.
‘I think Cillian is seeing someone’ Danielle said quietly.
‘Oh god Jesus Danielle, not again, please’ Natalie said, being well aware of the constant allegations and fights they were having. ‘Just because you cheated doesn’t mean he did’ she then said, causing you to almost choke on your wine.
‘You did what?’ you asked surprised. This was the first you heard of it.
‘It was many years ago Y/N. Cillian knows and he forgave me. He was always away and I struggled with the kids and…’ Danielle went on to explain and you couldn’t stop yourself from laughing.
‘What is so funny? We all make mistakes’ she said and you couldn’t help but shake your head in disbelieve.
‘Well, apparently so’ you chuckled. ‘Now, what makes you think that he is cheating on you Danielle?’ you then asked, curious as to whether her suspicions were actually warranted and whether she knew something.
‘I looked at his bank account statement and there were two hotel charges in Dublin in the past two weeks, one for the Westin and one for the Hilton’ she explained.
‘He could have just eaten there with friends Danielle, both of these Hotels have restaurants attached to them and are conveniently located near Temple Bar’ Natalie then laughed, causing Danielle to nod.
‘Yeah, probably. But, he has been acting funny lately and isn’t interested in intimacy. He doesn’t even kiss me anymore’ Danielle said.
‘You walked out on him twice in two months Danielle. Does this seriously surprise you?’ you asked, causing Danielle to shake her head just as Cillian came walking over towards you.
‘Miss Music Teacher, do you mind helping me with this?’ Cillian asked you as he handed you a guitar with two broken strings.
‘What animal did this?’ you chuckled and Cillian looked over towards one of his friends, rolling his eyes as he did.
‘Right, show me where the string is and I will fix it’ you said and Cillian asked you to follow him downstairs which is where he kept all of the music instruments and accessories.
***
After you followed Cillian into the basement and he gave you quick kiss now that you had some privacy, you quickly locked the door behind you.
‘What are you doing?’ Cillian asked surprised and, without loosing any time, you moved towards him and pressed your lips onto his again for a more passionate kiss.
Your lips parted his, allowing your tongue to enter for a short moment and explore, before you broke off the kiss and moved back. You then brushed your finger over his lips in a silent hush as you started fumbling with his zipper.
‘I am giving you another birthday present’ you smirked and, whilst Cillian knew that this was wrong, especially with Danielle and James both upstairs, all he managed to do was exhale and watch as you pulled at his jeans and briefs and released him.
You gasped as his cock sprung straight up, precum already glistening on the tip.
‘Oh, I didn’t expect you to be hard already?’ you said with some excitement.
‘What can I say, I have been fantasising about you all evening, seeing you in these tight jeans’ Cillian whispered as your fingers wrapped around the shaft while your other hand cupped his balls and squeezed.
‘Have you now?’ you purred without looking away from his cock.
‘You are such a tease Y/N’ Cillian moaned as you started to stroke. Timidly at first but you quickly picked up the pace. You could tell Cillian was getting himself worked up and you knew you didn’t have much time as everyone was waiting upstairs.
Without warning, you leaned forward and took his shaft into the back of your throat, making him gasp.
‘Fuck’ Cillian groaned, no longer caring if anyone heard him. Your mouth around his cock just felt too good.
You moaned and hummed as you bobbed your head and the sound coming from your throat tickled his cock. He wasn't going to last long at this rate and he was holding back another groan as your tongue slid up and down the underside of his shaft rather seductively. Then, your lips were puckering on the tip of his cock, sucking like a vacuum before releasing him with an audible 'pop'.
‘You like that?’ you whispered, kissing the tip and looking up at Cillian with eyes full of lust but, his only reply was a nod as he ran his fingers through your hair.
The truth was that, he couldn’t remember the last time Danielle and him had sex, let alone her pleasuring him with her mouth. It wasn’t her thing and you certainly wouldn’t have pleasured James like this in recent years either. But, you couldn’t get enough of Cillian’s cock. He was just perfect and you enjoyed giving him the pleasure that he deserved.
‘You can fuck his face, I won't gag, remember?’ you eventually said with a wink, lowering your head again.
Cillian was somewhat surprised by your rather dirty request but found some reassurance when your hand came off his balls and found his hand in your hair, pushing downward, encouraging him to stop holding back.
Taking the hint, Cillian bunched your hair up in his fist and slammed his hips upward, bottoming out in your throat with a wet gurgle. You held there for a moment before pulling back with a gasp.
‘Again’ you moaned, excited by how he had his way with you and, just as you requested more, he forced your head back down on his cock.
‘Fuck Y/N, that’s it’ Cillian groaned, plunging his cock in and out of your plump lips over and over again now while your hand was back to squeezing his balls.
‘So fucking good’ Cillian groaned as he took from you what he needed and he couldn't hold on any longer. With one last violent thrust he held your head down and exploded, coating your throat with his seed.
Cillian could feel you swallowing as you moaned and squeezed his balls some more, milking him of every last drop before letting go off his cock and wiping your mouth.
‘Now give me the string for the guitar before anyone files a missing person’s report’ you winked as you stood up and Cillian zipped up his jeans.
***
When you came walking back upstairs, you noticed how drunk James was which didn’t surprise you after the fight you had earlier that day.
Tipsy and in a good mood, he walked over towards you and, just as you took a sip from your wine to flush down the remnants of what you had just done to Cillian in the basement, he took the glass out of your hand and gave you a kiss.
Cillian looked over to you, his eyes widening and chin dropping. He couldn’t help but laugh.
‘James, you are drunk’ you pointed out, pushing him off you quickly with some embarrassment.
‘I just wanted to kiss my wife, can’t I do that?’ James then said and Danielle quickly came over and handed James a glass of water.
‘You guys should stay the night, I think you can’t take him home in this condition’ Danielle suggested and, before you could decline, James agreed and accepted her offer.
‘Good, you can stay in the basement. It’s nice and warm and there is a comfy pull-out lounge and bathroom in case he gets sick’ she said and you thanked her for the offer.
Thankfully, the party didn’t last too much longer and, at around midnight, everyone had left and you made your way downstairs to see how James was coping.
Just as you walked down the last step, your phone buzzed and you received a text message from Cillian.
‘Meet me in the upstairs bathroom at 1am’ it said and you couldn’t help but giggle.
‘Okay xx’ you responded.
----------
The clock on the nightstand hit 1o’clock as you were laying on the pull-out lounge in Cillian’s basement studio with James snoring softly next to you. He had gone to sleep about half an hour ago after throwing up numerous times and you quietly made your way upstairs.
You opened the bathroom door where Cillian was already waiting for you and, without a word you met in an embrace, lips locking and tongues fighting one another in a sloppy kiss.
His chest was against yours as you backed your ass up against the vanity. His hands slid under your butt and you giggled as he lifted you off the ground, wrapping your legs around his waist and grinding your pelvis against his growing erection.
‘Are you going to fuck me?’ you whispered into his ear, your tongue tracing his ear lobe.
He answered with a nod and a groan against your neck, kissing a trail back up to your lips before pulling off your panties, which was the only thing other than a t-shirt which you were wearing.
Cillian then sat you on top of the vanity, facing him before pushing down his boxers.
Your lips never broke contact and, once he freed his cock, it sprang upward and slapped against the soaked mound between your legs.
‘Give it to me Cillian…I want you so fucking badly’ you moaned into his mouth as his hands slid up your t-shirt and cupped your breasts.
‘I've been thinking about having your cock inside of me all night’ you gasped between kisses, causing Cillian to groan.
‘Have you been thinking about fucking me too?’ you continued, your hips grinding against him, your pussy lips sliding along the length of his cock.
‘I have been. Every night, I have to go to the bathroom and make myself cum just thinking about you and how good you feel’ Cillian groaned as your hand snaked between you both and took hold of his girth, aiming it towards your dripping love hole.
‘Hmm, oh god Cillian’ you cried out as he took your cue and pushed himself into you slowly. Your body shook as you took him inch by inch.
‘Cillian, fuck’ you moaned again and almost screamed as your body convulsed against him and your back arched, fingernails digging into his chest through his t-shirt.
‘That was quick’ Cillian whispered and his hand immediately came down on your mouth, covering it as an orgasm swept through you within seconds of him entering you. This is how much you had craved him. You wanted to simply have him inside of you and were aching for him.
‘Holy shit’ you panted, pulling Cillian in for another deep kiss. While you were clawing at his chest again, he began to thrust in and out of you with short strokes and you began taking a little more each time until he hit your cervix.
Cillian could feel your pussy juices leaking onto his balls as he thrusted his hips and you moaned and shuttered as a second orgasm rolled through you after several minutes.
Cillian didn't slow this time and instead quickened his pace, thrusting into you relentlessly. Your hips were gyrating every time your bodies connected, making his cock do circles inside your pussy. It felt fucking magical and Cillian could feel his balls tightening as an orgasm approached, but he wasn't ready to finish.
‘Fuck, hold on, not yet’ he grunted, grabbing your hips and lifting you off the vanity before spinning you around.
You grinned eagerly at this and leaned forward across the vanity, wiggling your apple shaped butt in anticipation as Cillian took position behind you. As Cillian rubbed his cock against your slit you arched your back and raised your ass to give him better access and he teased you with the tip, pushing in a couple of inches before pulling out completely
‘Please Cillian, I need you to fuck me’ you begged and, just as you did, Cillian held your hips and slammed his cock all the way into you. Your bodies collided with a wet slap and you had to reach forward to brace yourself against the vanity.
‘Oh god yes fuck me Cillian’ you groaned, throwing your ass backwards to meet his thrusts while Cillian reached out and took a handful of your pony tail, pulling your head back as he pounded away. The way you would grind into the mirror in front of you every time Cillian bottomed out inside your drove him crazy and quickly brought back his orgasm.
‘Fuck Y/N, I'm gonna cum!’ he groaned.
‘Cum inside me’ you gasped, twisting to look back at him with lust filled eyes. ‘Fill my pussy and let me feel it’ you moaned.
‘Oh god, fuck Y/N’ Cillian groaned, grabbing your ass with two hands as he pulled you into him as his cock erupted inside you. He filled you with spurt after spurt of hot cum as you watched him in the mirror and wiggled your ass against him.
After he came down from his high, Cillian pulled out of you and spinned you around and once again sat you on top of the vanity before inspecting your cum dripping mound.
He stepped closer towards you and made you spread your legs wide before, without any warning, he slid two of his fingers inside you.
‘Oh shit Cillian right there! Oh fuck!’ you screamed as he pinched your g-spot. Within a minute or two of him stimulating your g-spot this way, your body quaked as one last orgasm passed through you.
Cillian held you in this position until you calmed down before pulling his fingers out with a wet slurp and brining them to your mouth.
You grinned and cleaned them up eagerly with your tongue and lips before kissing Cillian passionately, letting him taste the both of you.
‘That was...fucking amazing’ you said in between kisses and, just after your lips drifted apart, Cillian made an admission to you after a rather long and awkward pause.
‘I think that I am in love with you Y/N and I don’t know what to fucking do about it. This…all of it…it’s wrong. Yet, it’s like I can’t resist it. I need to be with you’ Cillian then said after he pulled up his boxers and let his head lean forward against your chest.
‘I feel exactly the same’ you said, causing Cillian to lift up his head and ask again.
‘So, what are we going to do about it, Y/N? We can’t go on like this’ he said and, just as he did, the bathroom door opened suddenly….

Hey, if youre still doing prompts, are you down for some more smut? I really want that scene the phone sex fic hinted, where crowley was tied down and teased. Honestly I just want some kind of begging, smutty bondage, and you said you liked a challenge, so. Here ya go!
i don’t think you understand how excited i was to get this prompt because i very much wanted to write that scene that i hinted at in the phone sex fic, and now you’ve given me an actual excuse to, bless you
since this got v long (just over 5k, i got carried away, i just… i love these two, and i like writing smut, you really pushed all my buttons here), i’m posting the full thing over on ao3, but here is the first part!
[ while this preview is sfw, i think it goes without saying that the full fic is quite nsfw ]
worship in the bedroom
[ or read the entire fic on ao3 now ]
“Angel, please, at least think about it.”
“Oh— Crowley, it’s not that— really now, I don’t think that I— that is to say, I’m not quite sure—”
“I’m not going to force you into it,” Crowley assured him with a little laugh, leaning up to press a kiss to Aziraphale’s jaw, “but I’d put money on you enjoying it at least as much as me.”
Aziraphale gave a little huff, and held Crowley closer to avoid having to look him in the eye; Crowley snorted and nuzzled into his neck.  He knew his angel; he knew Aziraphale wasn’t strictly against the idea - he just needed time to think it over. And time was, after all, something they had the luxury of enjoying these days.
They were laying in bed on a Wednesday morning, content in cuddling in silence, until Crowley had squirmed a little and asked if he could suggest an activity for the evening.  Aziraphale had thought of rowdy bars, or long drives through the countryside, or even a quiet evening in[1]; so he was a little surprised when Crowley said, “I want you to tie me up and have your way with me,” as if he was suggesting they check out the latest action film.
[1] - Crowley’s ideas for an evening’s activities were all over the map.  Aziraphale was relatively confident in his abilities to guess what kind of mood the demon was in on any given day, but was also the first to admit that the learning process had never really ended.
They had been having sex for about a month now; it was something that they had both taken to very quickly, which had surprised them both, considering their mutual general apathy towards the activity when it came to humans.[2]  But there was certainly something different about sex when it was happening with someone who has known you since the Beginning.[3] Even so, their sex had been rather… vanilla thus far.  Neither of them would complain about that[4], but that didn’t stop either of them from thinking about more.
[2] - They had both had numerous - near countless - experiences across the wide array of orientations and partners.  Things tend to lose their excitement after a few centuries.
[3] - Needless to say, it was also made all that more exciting by the fact that at least one of them had also wanted this for millennia.
[4] - Indeed, Crowley was still mystified by the very idea that the angel actually wanted to touch him, let alone kiss him (and nevermind anything past that, his mind was still working on processing the first two); and Aziraphale was regularly caught gazing longingly at the demon before remembering that it was actually within the realm of options now to simply walk over and kiss him.  Six thousand years is quite the waiting period, and it would take many more months before they were able to adjust fully to everything encompassed by the idea of having each other.
“Have you been tied up before?” Aziraphale asked, rather suddenly, breaking the silence that had once again fallen between them.
Crowley leaned back so he could look up at the angel.  Aziraphale was looking the other way, and color had risen in his cheeks.  Crowley smiled. “Nope,” he answered. “I’m usually the one doing the tying up.  Always wanted to know what it was like, but.” He cut himself off abruptly.
“But?” Aziraphale prompted, looking back at him.
Crowley’s cheeks were darkening now as well; despite having been the one to embark on this conversation in the first place, it was clearly going in a direction he had neither anticipated nor wanted.  He dove back down to hide his face against Aziraphale’s skin again, and mumbled, “Never trusted anyone else. To do it properly, I mean.”
“To tie a few knots?” Aziraphale asked, bemused, as he stroked Crowley’s hair.
“No, not— I mean, the whole thing, the— it’s not just about the knots, it’s about the— words, and-and actions and— the whole thing.”
“Oh, yes, I see.”  Aziraphale did understand; Crowley scrunched closer against him, clearly embarrassed.  “And you… trust me to ah, do the thing properly,” he added, mostly just wanting to hear the confirmation.
“Shut up,” Crowley mumbled; Aziraphale heard the smile even without being able to see his face.  “Of course I do. Trust you with anything, angel.”
Aziraphale pressed a soft kiss to Crowley’s hair.  “Well then, I shan’t disappoint. Let’s get our day started, my dear.  I do think we’ll have a rather busy evening ahead of us.”
Crowley would not sit still for more than a few minutes in the shop.  Aziraphale was content to sit at his desk and read[5], getting up only occasionally to attend to a stray customer, or to refill his tea.  Crowley would bounce between the couch (sometimes sitting up, sometimes sprawled over it, once laying face down in the cushions for a full five minutes without saying a word), the shelves (half-heartedly glancing at, and sometimes rearranging, books for something to do with his hands), and the desk and angel (making offhand remarks about what to do for dinner, perhaps planting a firm kiss to some part of the angel’s face).  It was clear that Crowley was anxious, but the conversation they had had in bed that morning was resolutely staying across town in Crowley’s bedroom where they had left it[6].
[5] - Although a careful observer might note that his eyes did not seem to be moving at the right speed to be reading; Aziraphale’s mind was clearly otherwise occupied, despite appearances.
[6] - And where it would be revisited in a few hours; this is the thing that was making Crowley anxious.
“Lunch?” he asked Aziraphale around one, leaning over the back of his chair and putting his chin on the angel’s shoulder.  “I could get us a takeaway, if you want. Or we could close the shop for a bit, go somewhere. Or we could go upstairs and you could try out that new recipe you’ve been talking about.”
“Let’s go somewhere,” Aziraphale said, fairly decisively.  He turned to smile at Crowley. “Sushi?”
Every time they were this close, noses nearly touching, Crowley was struck with the same thought.  It was, admittedly, a fairly incoherent thought, but translated into cogent language, it went something like this:  “How is it possible that this gorgeous, stunning creature should want me?  What could I have possibly done to deserve this amazing gift of this angel who looks at me with such unqualified affection in his eyes?”[7]  And then, as he usually did, he remembered that he was allowed to do exactly what he had spent endless sleepless nights thinking about: he leaned forward and kissed Aziraphale.
[7] - For curious minds, the untranslated thought was more along the lines of, “nngk pretty angel blue eyes,” followed by indistinct whines of varying pitch and intensity.
“That’s a yes, I assume,” the angel murmured against his lips.
“Always a yes for you, angel.”

Aye! I'm starting edinburgh uni next week - do you have any tips for settling in, or any recommendations in terms of places to eat that aren't swarmed with students 24/7?
I’m afraid Edinburgh is swarmed with students all the time.
Settling in - Get involved in freshers events, meet folk, sign up for stuff you are interested in, say hi to the SNP folk for me.
Scran - It’s tough to name places where there won’t be students but I’d recommend checking out TingThai Caravan for some decent scran, there’s also ‘Mom’s comfort food’ near the national museum which is 10/10.
Would also recommend Asian Bento Food Bar as they do incredible sushi and their chicken teriyaki is class.
Also - the best Chinese takeaway in Edinburgh is called Oriental Delight. I’d check it out when you inevitable want to sit on your arse, watch tv and order in.
Anyway, congrats on starting uni! What you studying?

The Sex Contract [M] - Chapter 8
Tumblr media
Genre: friends to lovers au / friends with benefits / mature content / romance / angst
Characters: Shim Changmin x Kaia Ashton (OC)
A/N: Due to the overwhelming request I have followed your encouragement to bring back one of my older stories. This was back in a time where OCs were everything and writing one chapter in each main’s point of view was the trend. Chapter 8 – Kaia’s POV.
Life had taken a completely different turn ever since having sex with Changmin. It seemed the schedule now had a new element in it, and Kaia’s time was spent doing her usual activities and then meeting Changmin in between. In the past two weeks, they had so far met for sex three times, all in which they had begun to learn what they liked and disliked about one another. Although she wasn’t as keen for different positions like Changmin was, Kaia had to admit singing wasn’t his only talent. It was a new side to her friend that she had discovered, and Kaia hadn’t regretted the agreement since the first night. Though thankfully nothing was ever as tension-filled as it had been in the confines of her bedroom that last time.
“Ow Changmin!” Kaia cried out and slapped his shoulder, the boy looking down at her on the bed. She made a face. “You’re not meant to bend a woman like that.”
“I wasn’t trying to make it uncomfortable,” he breathed, rolling his eyes and shifting his weight again. The pleasure he was delivering seemed to build again and Kaia settled, hoping he wasn’t going to try that again. Sometimes his enthusiasm got the better of him. She wondered if she would ever be able to match his quest for exploration.
“Was work alright?” she asked as they flipped over, her mouth going to his chest that she enjoyed kissing so much. Changmin groaned and ran his hands through her hair. It wasn’t uncomfortable for them to talk whilst having sex, generally because when the mood struck them, they focused on getting to their destination without ripping the clothes off of each other, let alone bothering with basic greetings.
He kissed her wrist beside his head and then smiled. “Mm, tiring like usual. Did you meet your deadline?”
“No, Keith did though, I’m quite proud of him.”
“Hey!” Changmin rolled them over again and stopped, looking down at Kaia with a hard expression. She stared back incredulously; it was finally starting to feel good.
“What are you doing?!”
“I’m having sex with you right now!” Changmin said exasperatedly and she continued to look at him as if he sprouted an extra head.
“No, you just stopped. Right when I was enjoying myself!”
“Where’s your contract?! We need to add another stipulation on!”
Kaia gaped at him. “Right now?!”
“You just broke a code!” He stared down at her harshly and whined as if he couldn’t believe what had just occurred. “Bringing up another man whilst having sex is a big no-no!”
“Oh my goodness Changmin!” Kaia cried, shoving the man off her. “I cannot believe you right now, he’s a workmate and you asked me about work!”
All the same, Kaia got up and headed out to the living room, searching in her drawer for the original copy. They had already reprinted another copy each off after they had made the mistake of foreplay once, and as she looked at the paper, Kaia realised they weren’t going to have much room left soon. After grabbing a pen, she returned to her bedroom where Changmin had already turned on the lamp.
Kaia gave him a glare and then sat down. “Thanks to you we’re running out of room. It was just a contract, not a fan page needing a damn autograph, Min.”
“You know you’re easily irritated,” he mentioned and she shot him another look, jotting down the rule he sought for. After dating it, she handed it to him to initial and then thumped it down on the bedside table. He smiled and reached out for her arm. “Come on, I’ll make you happier.”
“No,” Kaia stubbornly replied, folding her arms across her bare chest firmly. “I don’t want you now.”
“What?! Aw come on Kai, it was a fair call.”
She turned away from him. “I’m no longer in the mood. Now, where is my dressing robe?”
“Are you serious right now?” he enquired and she nodded. Grumbling incoherently, Changmin flung his legs over the side of the bed and searched for his pants. Kaia continued to look for her dressing robe, finally finding it and covered her naked form before heading out to photocopy the agreement. Changmin soon joined her, sighing heavily and taking the piece of paper she held out for him.
“You can’t even dress yourself,” Kaia mused, noting his shirt was poorly buttoned. Reaching out for his top, she undid it and looked up at the tall man who was eying her lustfully. Groaning loudly, Kaia moved back into his arms, Changmin blindly making his way back to the bedroom with her attacking his lips.
Kaia could never completely forgo it, she was too addicted now.
Tumblr media
The agreement continued in this fashion for another two weeks, Changmin even interrupting Kaia’s at home exercise session to call in for his own form of working out. With his upcoming promotion overseas in Japan, the boy had to take what little time he did have and try and fit in around her schedule. Although Kaia was enjoying the sex, and the satisfaction that came with it, she wasn’t about to forgo sleep for when Changmin wanted to meet.
“Ah, my legs hurt,” Kaia complained out loud as she climbed the last remaining steps into Korea Star’s office, lightly tapping her fists on her thighs in hopes it would ease the pain. She wasn’t sure why her legs were so tired lately, though all the meetings with Changmin had acquired a lot of running to catch buses in time. She wondered if she should join a gym to keep up with her more demanding physical routine.
“Good morning Kaia!” Keith greeted her as she walked through the door and she smiled brightly at the man, bowing lightly to those who turned to see her arrival. After she slung her bag on the back of the chair and sat down, she blinked rapidly at the takeaway cup that appeared in front of her face. Keith beamed. “Iced caramel latte is your favourite, right?”
“Yes, thank you!” She took the cup and placed the straw to her mouth, closing her eyes in delight. “You’re a godsend Keith; you don’t know how behind I was this morning!”
“You seem to be busier lately,” he observed and a second chair swivelled close to her, the dark eyes penetrating her own. Kaia swatted Sungra back, pouting lightly.
“Yes, and you won’t tell me either. I’m supposed to be your best friend!”
Kaia took another sip. “Sung, I’m not doing anything illegal, I’m just busy.”
“With?” Both Keith and Sungra stared intensely and Kaia wondered if they hoped that would make her crack.
“Writing a novel,” Kaia announced, which was actually a half-truth. They both exchanged a look and shifted back to their computers, uninterested for further details. Kaia silently cursed the fact that Changmin was a celebrity and was causing her to have so many secrets.
Settling into her work for the day, she barely noticed anything or anyone around her. A few huge projects had been offered to her by Minah and she wanted to impress her boss, hoping it would bring about the promotion she had been hinting about. By lunchtime, Kaia had barely stopped for anything and realised the latte had made its way through her system. Getting up and rushing to the bathroom, she had only entered a cubicle when the phone in her jeans’ pocket went off. Stunned that she had forgotten to put the device on mute, Kaia scrambled to fish it out of her pants before answering it.
“Hello?”
“It’s me.”
“Min, ah Max I’m in the bathroom, can I call you back?” He sighed, ending the phone call with a click. Scrunching her nose up at his rudeness, Kaia jumped as a beep went off a moment later. She opened the text and read it.
Changmin: Hey, I just found out I’m going to Japan for five days. You busy today? I want to meet up.
She quickly hit the keys to respond, asking him jokingly if all they would ever do together was sex now. She finished in the cubicle and went out to wash her hands, pulling the phone back out again as she received the next message.
Changmin: Don’t make me a deprived boy of your great company.
Kaia chuckled at his avoidance of the question, sending him back another teasing reply when the toilet behind her flushed. She turned to see Abby appear a moment later, her eyes connecting with Kaia’s before she smiled.
“Are you staying for lunch?” she asked and Kaia shook my head. “That makes two of us. I’m also meeting someone.”
“Oh I’m not meeting anyone,” she retorted, and Abby gave her another look.
“Well have a good lunchtime all the same. I’m going to head out now, see you.” The girl left and Kaia frowned, wondering why she was acting so weird towards her. Shrugging lightly, she headed back out into the work office and over to her desk where she logged her computer off.
Keith looked at her. “Please tell me you’re not bailing on Sushi Day.”
“Afraid so, an old friend has asked to meet up.”
“Who?” Sungra wondered and Kaia smiled the best she could. “Do I know her?”
“Him actually and no, he’s come up from Busan where I used to work.”
“Ah, is it Justin?” the Korean girl wondered and Kaia nodded eagerly, knowing she’d have to get in contact with the fellow British man to help cover the story. “Tell him I say hi then.”
“I will, catch you both later,” Kaia said with a wave and departed the office, hurrying out into the late summer sun. She texted Changmin as she made her way to the train station entrance a block over, slowing down when she noticed Abby up ahead. She was trying not to look around herself conspicuously as she made her way over to a dark SUV that Kaia was nearing. Watching her friend with more interest, Kaia managed to reach her just as she opened the door, climbing into the seat beside a man who she leaned in to kiss. She gaped at who she believed she saw and banged into a Korean woman, who snapped Kaia out of her reverie. Bowing in apology, she then made her way to the station in a distracted manner, wondering if her eyes were playing tricks on her. If they weren’t, then Kaia wasn’t the only one trying to hide meetings with a famous singer.

Tumblr media
5 times touched meme ( accepting ) + @cosmicstrength // jet
Tumblr media
ended up being so fucking long soooo cutting for the dash ♡ just saying, but tiff really chose violence on this day
001. kitchen mishaps ;  Faye’s never really learned how to cook - she doesn’t know why. Wakes up knowing nothing about it, finds that the world doesn’t even really have the ingredients that she can vaguely remember. In 70-some odd years, the foods that she might have found comfort in have long gone extinct, no lobster, no kobe beef, no sushi...! It’s all made anew, with, mutations and changes to it all having come along the way, and, with her newfound life of absconding from responsibility and vagrancy, cooking comes near last what she cares to learn about.
But on the Bebop, that doesn’t always fly. Jet loves to cook (the frilly apron gives it away, an odd dash of peony pink against his otherwise drab uniform), and, Faye, well... it’s hard to keep her out of any place where she’s told not to be, and the kitchen is his domain. And so, WHY NOT WATCH from time to time, a chair spun backwards, leaning into its back while she watches his as he cooks. He makes the most out of nothing - and they never really thank him for it, do they. They should. The words are on the tip of her tongue, fizzle, die, grave.
“Can you show me how you do it?” it’s for survival, she tells herself. God knows she’s been in this position often enough, nothing but takeaway food and empty packets, she could go so much longer if she knew how to do this, even if part of her SNEERS at the idea of it. Traditional roles never really felt right to her, but she leans in to take the wooden spoon from his grasp, her arm against his as she physically leans in on his space. The wok in front of her, her features scrunched as she contemplates the movements that he’d made, showcasing it in smaller motions for him to provide his own encouragement - “Like this?”
002. weapons grade ; They all have their own signature piece. Faye’s is an Austria .45 that she picks up in a game of poker on one of the moons of Saturn, the first time that she’s really out on her own and trying to figure out what the fuck she’s going to do next. It’s her playing wait staff while being paid cash until some drunk customer tells her that he wants something pretty at the table and they ask her to play. MAKE HER, is more like it, but she likes to pretend there was an element of choice behind it. She was lousy with cards back then, but he was worse, and there’s truth to the fact that the house always wins, isn’t there?
She tells him this story as the pieces are pulled apart with rhythmic ease, the two of them crowded around that shitty coffee table that looks as if it’s on the last legs of its life. For such a sad story, she keeps it in PRISTINE CONDITION, the two of them making idle chatter while she does, palms stained, unlike herself, in places with black and gunpowder. “I always wondered what it’d be like to shoot a gun. At first it felt so hard. But the less you saw the target as a person, the easier it became. Then I realized what kind of trade off you had to make. How sad that was. But hunger doesn’t really care for sadness, does it.”
A hand closes over hers. Jet doesn’t even have human warmth from there, metal hand, a strange reminder of a former life. Faye doesn’t shrug him off angrily the way she might have in another moment, lets it linger because, she knows he’s just trying to be kind in the only way that he knows how to be. THEY’RE EMOTIONALLY CONSTIPATED on this ship, but at least they can do small things like this, sometimes, to ground themselves when everything else feels free-floating.
003. aces wild ; “Charlie Parker, Charlie Parker. You always talk about CHARLIE PARKER, but take it from me, Charlie Parker wasn’t some mythic presence at the gambling tables.” she’s the dealer this round - and she wins, every time. Jet, despite the get up he wore when they first met, is hardly the kind of high roller that one might expect him to be, though she supposes for someone who doesn’t chat, he’s doing pretty alright. But his excuses to play or not play are far too rooted in superstition and habit, and it’s far too easy to read - maybe she feels sorry about it, but she’s trying to pick it all apart, slow. Make sure he doesn’t lose his shirt next time they face off against one another.
Plucks another card, deals it to him on the table. He reaches for it, but her fingers haven’t moved from the surface of it, a harder stare and narrowed eyes. “No. I don’t even need to look to know you’re already 1 from 21. This isn’t the right kind of choice. If you’re trying to think about this logically, you’ll fail. Telling me you think you’ll win because of some dream about Charlie Parker isn’t going to CHANGE THAT. You need a better winning strategy than this, Jet, if you’re ever going to graduate from the kiddy tables.”
But he takes it, anyways, stubborn as always, Faye sighing as she leans back, arms cradled behind her head. Doesn’t miss the way his eyes light up though, as he thrusts the card in her face to prove the point. The ace of spades. WELL WHAT DID YOU KNOW? Maybe Charlie Parker wasn’t so far off... not that she says anything - just a sound of disgust, a rolling of eyes, showy. Still. He collects the chips, and she collects his chores. Amen.
004. childcare duties ;  Ed’s locked in the bathroom - that’s what Jet says at least, when he comes knocking down her door. Doesn’t know what to say but he asks, or stutters, over asking her to check in, as if realizing for the first time that the kid’s a little girl still, and maybe hopes that Faye might be able to SUMMON UP some kind of maternal instinct to help them ply or bribe her back out. There’s water coming from underneath the door, he says. Means that he thinks that it’s pretty dire. He’ll take on her cooking duties then? Alright then. A deal is made.
Faye talks to Ed beneath the crack of the door, coded things, not that it’s anything is ever understandable out of that girl’s mouth. But eventually the door opens, and Faye slips inside - the sound of the water as it turns off, the flow no longer mop and bucket worthy, or at least for now. The hushed sounds, a quiet as Faye seems to EXPLAIN SOMETHING to the other girl... 5 minutes later, the door opens, and Ed bursts out, arms out at each end as she makes airplane noises and zooms off down a hall, Faye within it still, checking out her hair as water pools about her shoes.
Jet still stands outside, as if confused, Faye slipping into the narrow confines of the hall as her hand taps at the man’s arm, gravely. “She’s A WOMAN now.” the look on his face, fixed in confusion until something slow begins to dawn. That temporary unsureness - then that low grade horror that seems to sink deeper as it all begins to click into place. “She’s fine. But I’m gonna need to take off for a bit with some cash. Someone’s gotta buy her supplies and uh... no offence. But I can’t imagine you or Spike volunteering.”
005. repair mission ; Spike is going to die. She knows it when the gun goes off and he keeps walking, determined, to find his death at the hands of the past that cradled him unto his grave. Perhaps she could have come back sooner, she would have, if she knew what was coming, what to BRACE FOR. Maybe the ship wouldn’t have been damaged like this if she was, maybe they would have done better if Ed was still on board, she’s filled with what ifs, she’s choking on regret. But from sobbing, slumped, she needs purpose, she needs something to hold onto.
So she stands, and she finds herself in the main rest area where, Jet is nursing a bullet wound of his own. Asks him what happened, and it’s the same grim story, the both of them with downcast eyes, the pain that’s there for realizing how SMALL AND TEMPORARY their time together has been. What’s left? Can they carry on? They’re carried their own lifetimes of disappointment between them, something they rarely talk about, don’t know how to address. Still though, she bends, picking up the cotton swabs and the alcohol, soaking one with the other before handling him the bottle.
Takes to the task of cleaning him up. She’s better at it than people give her credit, maybe from her own needs to have to keep herself alive, again and again despite the way that she’s like, always on the run. You only have so many emergency doctors along the way when things GO BAD. Bandage this. Hold your tongue. They’re still alive, aren’t they? And they have the strength to continue on. “Think you can hold it together?” Faye doesn’t even glance up, there’s a hardness within her stare. “... he’s only got us to save him. We have to at least try.”

2021 Local SEO Success: Expert Tips & Predictions
Posted by MiriamEllis
“We are here to awaken from our illusion of separateness.” ― Thích Nhất Hạnh, Buddhist teacher
My warm New Year’s greetings to all local business owners and local SEOs reading my column today. Add to this my sincere sentiments of solidarity for what we went through together in 2020 — we won’t soon forget it, and our stories from the journey contain important teachings for our market and industry.
I often find that the best local SEO takeaways sprout from the real-world anecdotes of colleagues and friends, and you’ll find those here today along with my personal predictions for the year ahead. Let’s get learning!
Teachings from the real lives of local SEOs
In a year when we were physically distant from one another in unprecedented ways, I’ve found memorable lessons in how local business owners broke down barriers to keep communities connected. I asked four wonderful colleagues to share a personal anecdote with me about a local business they transacted with, both prior to and during the pandemic. As you read these brief stories, see if you can identify six common threads running through them.
Amanda Jordan, Director of Local Search at LOCOMOTIVE Agency
“One of my favorite businesses that I have used before and during 2020 is Pete's Diner. I first found out about them by driving by, but they have been in the community for decades.
Before the pandemic, my husband and I would have breakfast with his parents every Saturday at a different local restaurant. It became one of our regular breakfast spots because their food is great and it's pretty close to our home. They also carried a hard-to-find, high-quality olive oil that we would buy in large quantities while we were there.
During the pandemic, we decided to do our best to continue to support local businesses. Pete's really has adapted to the current climate by offering online ordering and delivery without raising prices significantly or compromising on the quality of their food. Moving into 2021, I recommend that local businesses continue to offer delivery and online ordering even after the pandemic is over. Use Google Posts to keep customers up to date on specials or new services and products.”
John Vuong, Founder of Local SEO Search Inc.
“I discovered my favorite Vietnamese pho restaurant three years ago. I was on the hunt for something that was close to my home, was family-run, and that had an amazing Vietnamese bone broth noodle soup that would remind me of my childhood (my family immigrated to Canada from Vietnam).
Like many SEOs do, I found it through Google Search. I always check Google reviews to see what a company's online reputation is. The first time I stepped foot in their restaurant, they recognized that I was new. They took the time to explain their business and tell me their most popular dishes. They took the time to build a personal relationship and rapport with me by asking my name and sharing theirs. It felt like there was a real personal touch. And of course, the food was amazing, the service was quick, and they topped it all off with complimentary dessert. I was hooked!
I'd been going to this pho restaurant weekly — that is until the pandemic hit. I didn’t visit them for a little over three months when lockdown first went into effect. But when I did, I was so happy to see that they had implemented all of the necessary health precautions to make their customers and staff feel safe. I noticed a huge influx of takeout orders.
I think my best local marketing advice for 2021 would be to take care of your customers! Listen to them intently and go over and above what you typically would. Treat every single customer like they’re your family and they will feel the love! Don’t expect anything in return, and you will be rewarded when you least expect it!”
Niki Mosier, Head of SEO at Two Octobers
“There is a local cafe/coffee shop near me that I would frequent, especially for their homemade doughnut Fridays. The proximity of the location (two blocks away), the quality of the food, and the customer service made me a repeat customer.
The business was quick to offer delivery (even for two blocks away), which has been amazing — who doesn't want Irish coffee and fresh doughnuts delivered to their door on a Friday morning? They’ve added other fun takeaway options, too, like bake-your-own cookie dough, meals, and a Thanksgiving pie and beer collab with the brewery down the street. Think outside the box and don't be afraid to pivot. Focus on customer service and your customers will stay loyal.”
Garrett Sussman, Head of Marketing at Grade.us
“Some might argue that Wegmans, the northeast grocery chain, has a cult following. It's easy to understand why. I first discovered the store from my father. He raved about the way they had special baked goods, quality produce, and an assortment of branded products. I was living in New Jersey at the time, and I was hooked after my first visit. Maybe it was the takeout sandwiches, the fresh sushi, or the large and open layout of the store — and it didn't hurt that they were about five minutes from my apartment at the time.
Since then, I’ve learned more about the brand and appreciate their philosophy: 'Employees first, customers second.' I want to go to a store that takes care of their employees. They've even invested $5 million dollars in employee scholarships. How cool is that?
In 2020, they adapted to the pandemic by being one of the first grocery stores to implement mask policies, glass splash guards, and social distancing. They increased their employees' wages in March by $2.00, and had hand sanitizer at entrances very early on. If I had to give them one piece of local search marketing advice, I'd recommend utilizing Google Posts more frequently. Adding a post once every couple of months is better than nothing, but it's such an opportunity to attract more customers to their grocery stores.”
6 common threads for 2021 local SEO strategy
Did you spot the commonalities in the four stories? When I distill them down into local SEO themes, here’s what I see:
1. Essential local businesses take pride of place
When I asked for a story about a favorite business, Amanda, John, Niki, and Garrett all chose an essential business — a restaurant or grocery store that fed them! Eating is the most fundamental of all activities, as recent times have highlighted for us all. One of my major takeaways from 2020 that I’ll be bringing with me into 2021 is that operating an essential business which fulfills the basic structural needs of a community is the wisest entrepreneurial strategy.
If you’re adjusting your business model and its inventory, opening a new business this year, or advising local entrepreneurs, learn to map community essentials and create a business plan that puts basics before luxuries.
2. Local business discovery is multi-channel
Getting found is the preliminary step to every local business transaction:
Amanda found a restaurant while driving
John looked at Google listings and reviews
Niki needed a spot in close proximity to her workplace
Garrett heard by word-of-mouth from a family member
Being there for the customer means being discoverable both online and offline, via vehicle, foot traffic, web-based local business platforms, and by word-of-mouth recommendations. Your visibility strategy for the year ahead needs to cover all these bases.
3. Local businesses can deliver multiple types of value
The local businesses you’re marketing have the best chance of success if you can unlock the secret of what patrons value most. These examples abound in our four anecdotes:
Great selection — Amanda’s olive oil, Garret’s baked goods, John’s pho, Niki’s Irish coffee.
High quality — clearly, all of these foods are extra delicious!
Convenience — everyone wanted something nearby.
Brand affinity — John wants a family-owned business, Garret wants employees to be cared for, Niki likes businesses that partner up with one another, and Amanda likes a brand that maintains quality without raising prices too much.
Brand adaptability — all four brands made safety adjustments to keep serving the public.
This year, find out what your customers and potential customers value most, and make common cause with them.
4. Pandemic adaptations drive loyalty
The four businesses our contributors highlighted are successfully weathering an incredible storm via the praiseworthy changes they made to keep serving the public safely, like:
Implementing new sanitary policies
Implementing digital commerce
Offering home delivery
Doubling down on takeout service
Increasing employees’ wages
Trying new things, like meal kits
Forming new cross-sales partnerships with fellow businesses
Taking maximum safety precautions, delivering at the curb or the front door, facilitating online purchasing, and experimenting with new ideas are all must-haves for 2021.
5. There’s even more that good local brands can do
I asked our experts what they’d suggest if they could offer once piece of local SEO advice to their favorite businesses for 2021. They recommended:
Maintaining all new sales and service channels, even after the hoped-for end of COVID-19.
Making consistent use of Google Posts as a communications channel.
Listening intently to evolving customer needs.
Putting customer service at the center of everything.
Making customers feel loved.
6. The most important local SEO factor is the human factor
These are the parts of the stories I like best, because they show businesses making us feel less alone, despite our necessary distancing.
Amanda found a place a family feels so welcome, they made it a regular multi-generational hangout.
Niki found a place that added a sense of fun to life with their creativity.
John found a place that not only served a beloved dish from childhood, but where the staff took the time to build a personal relationship with him.
Garrett found a place where he can feel good shopping because they take genuine care of their staff.
Philosopher Thích Nhất Hạnh might say that each of these businesses found a way to shatter the illusion of separateness, in the midst of a pandemic, by making each of these patrons feel like valued members of the community. Any local business you market in 2021 can definitely do the same.
My own local SEO predictions and tips for 2021
Here we go!
1. Your local business website will be more essential than in any previous year
It’s hard to believe that just three years ago, I felt compelled to publish a piece on why you still needed a website, pushing back on the narrative that the amount of zero-click-type SERPs was making websites irrelevant. Nobody can claim this in 2021, and recent stats from Moxtra’s Small Business Digital Resilience Report make the “why” of this clear. Consider:
66% of respondents say the pandemic made them more likely to do business with SMBs in the future (and I’ve seen higher numbers than this in other surveys).
But, 2020 saw 30% growth in consumers requiring that digital capabilities be present to facilitate transactions (think e-commerce and telemeetings).
And, 84% said if these capabilities were lacking, they’d consider looking elsewhere for a brand that could serve them online (84% is a huge number!).
Local digital sales are where it’s at in 2021, so finding the best possible e-commerce provider should be the top priority for all relevant brands. Don’t worry too much about zero-click SERPs this year. Yes, Google has its shopping engine and has even ramped up its “nearby” filter in 2020, but focus on pulling in every bit of traffic you can to your website’s own shopping cart this year. This goal will build stronger-than-ever bridges between local and organic SEO, so this is the time for local-focused agencies to double down on organic skills.
I’m also watching with interest the rise of medical devices and apps that monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and other vitals. There’s a telemedicine revolution going on, which should seep into other professional services that could improve customer convenience via secure telemeetings, any time face-to-face appointments aren’t essential.
Has anyone ever really enjoyed sitting for hours in a waiting room to speak to an accountant, a consultant, a banker? I don’t think so. In 2021, websites for professional service providers should be optimized to drive online bookings for as many remote meetings as possible.
2. The triumphant return of the milkman and the everything-delivery person!
I’ve been predicting the return of the milkman for many years here at Moz, and 2020 made it happen. Thousands of customers signed up this past summer to make standing orders with Alpenrose Dairy in the Portland area, after a 40-year absence of home delivery service. Under new leadership, the old dairy invested in a fleet of trucks, drivers, branded delivery boxes, and even dog biscuits to toss to barking pups along the way. As their success grew, Alpenrose began partnering up with other local brands to deliver all kinds of treats and groceries, and their social profiles are being rewarded with nostalgic, happy praise from locals and a ton of transactions.
What I find absolutely key to this story is that Alpenrose is managing delivery in-house. They aren’t outsourcing to a third party and losing something like one-third of their revenue. If a local business you’re marketing can deliver, it definitely should.
Further, I’d urge digital marketing agencies to have vital conversations with clients in Q1 about the problems inherent in outsourcing customer experience to a third party. As I’ve learned from both restaurateurs and grocers, it’s generally too costly and too risky to let another company get between you and your customers. This means that a key problem to solve in the year ahead is the employment and transportation of in-house drivers.
“Oyster man. Oyster manny-manny-manny!”
A vintage cookbook tells me this is the song residents of mid-century New Orleans heard each day as a seafood wagon came down their streets. When I look through and beyond 2021, my best inspiration comes from examining the past, with its bountiful produce trucks making rounds, and ladies coming onto porches to purvey gumbo file powder. Ask your elders for reminiscences to inspire 2021 opportunities, because everything old is becoming new again, and whenever I ask around, customers who have gotten a taste of home delivery want it to continue beyond the hoped-for end of the pandemic.
But here’s one problem I need help to solve: If I’m predicting the continued expansion of delivery, and I’m looking back in time, I see lots of households with somebody available to accept perishable orders. In June of 2020, 42% of the US workforce was working at home, but if and when we return to formal workplaces, who will be in situ to bring in the meat and dairy before they spoil?
Will the return of the milkman necessitate the return of the outdoor icebox, or at least some form of it, like a fridge on the porch, a cooler the driver knows to fill, an apartment complex cold case? Inventors, please speak up, because there’s just no way I’m going to let Amazon into my house.
3. My tossed salad of local search marketing predictions

So, solving for local digital sales and delivery are the two biggest stories I’m focused on in the year ahead, but here are my mixed greens of other developments I think we’ll see in the next twelve months:
1. Google’s Core Web Vitals is coming, and it will be felt on local business shores. But the truth is that — as recently as 2019 — one-third of small businesses still reported having no website at all (hence, nothing to optimize for Google’s latest initiatives). While local SERPs make it clear that it’s quite possible to rank a site-less local business in even moderately competitive packs and finders, 2020 turned the lack of a digital presence into a dire disadvantage for the smallest brands. Even a free website will be better than nothing in the year ahead.
2. Google will push harder on Google Messaging, and brands and agencies will need to decide whether to invite them into customer communications to this degree. If Google Messaging ever fully takes off, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Google sunset Questions & Answers as a result.
3. Google’s purchase of Pointy should start to surface more clearly as key to their strategy for a local transactional future. I strongly believe Google’s greatest growth potential lies in facilitating local online shopping through a mapped interface, and I’m expecting their game plan for this to be more obvious by the end of 2021.
4. Reviews will continue to be absolutely central, but unless Google does something more about vetting the quality of reviews and Q&A responses from its Local Guides program, searcher experience will suffer. We won’t see a massive erosion of trust to threaten Google’s review dominance in 2021, but review spam and poor content will continue the confidence leak at a slow, aggravating trickle unless Google plugs it up.
5. If Apple launches its search engine this year, the local SEO industry’s necessary hyper-focus on Google could see some welcome variation. Moz Local already distributes to Apple Maps, so if you’re a customer, you’re ahead of the Apple game, but coverage of optimizing for Apple search will deserve your closest attention to be an early bird.
6. The rise of Nextdoor for local business visibility will hit a new high, and hopefully prompt the company to start developing more agency-friendly solutions. Nextdoor is the structured citation platform in which I’m most interested for the new year, and Moz Local now offers a top tier plan with a solution for agencies to help get all their clients onto Nextdoor (a function that’s absent from the platform’s own interface). Watch the Moz Blog for further coverage this year!
7. Local medical and personal service providers may need to expand hires (at least temporarily). Once a truly successful COVID-19 vaccine has been widely implemented, expect a glut of bookings from clients who have put off all kinds of appointments during lockdown. Now is the time to investigate good booking software and also evaluate Google’s options for this, because online reputation will be impacted by the ability to see clients in a timely manner once it’s safe to do so.
8. Public-brand affinity will set conscientious local businesses apart. Centering deep concern for whatever your local public cares about most will be increasingly important in the coming year. Whether through brand activism or allyship with major movements like Black Lives Matter or climate change addressal, or diligent support of local programs to alleviate poverty or increase diversity, equity, and inclusion, company reputations will become further tied to actions for the common good.
In summary
I’ll sum up by saying that there’s never been a tougher year than 2021 for making marketing predictions. After all, how many of us foresaw the harsh realities of 2020? But, as I look to the sunrise of a vaccine, and couple this with multiple polls indicating just how strongly the public wants to support local businesses, I think there’s both reason for optimism and genuine opportunity ahead.
2020 reminded us of just how interdependent we all are, for the basics of daily living and for human support, encouragement, and hope. Everyone benefits from inhabiting well-resourced, sustainable communities and if your brand or agency can help with this, the future belongs to you.
