--
He was staring again. Every time you turned to look at him, he would quickly avert his eyes to the front of the room. In confusion, you turned to look behind you, only to see the blank wall of the classroom. You looked back at him and found him staring straight ahead like he'd been caught doing something bad.
You pulled your phone out of your bag and opened the front facing camera to check to see if you forgot to properly blend your makeup again. Or maybe you had crumbs on your face.
It didn't look like you had anything on your face. Though you did think you could use a re-up on gloss, and maybe a touch-up on your brows. You accidentally left your makeup bag in your dorm, and you kept losing all of your backup purse makeup, so all you had was a lip balm and school stuff. You supposed that you could use this as an excuse to do a quick drugstore run across the street to pick up another backup makeup kit. But you also felt like you'd be missing out on the sushi buffet in the dining hall if you got there too late. You hadn't had sushi in a long time, it would've been a shame to miss it. Then again you could always order it from that one spot you went to with that one guy. What was his name again? Something with a "F"--
"Hello?" The professor said, addressing you and pulling you out of your thoughts. You raised your brows in surprise, and smiled sweetly.
"Hi!"
Your professor tapped her chin with a beautifully manicured nail and looked you over with a funny look on her face. "Your presentation topic for next week?"
"Oh!" You said, looking down at your notes. "Well, I might talk a little about how hard influencing is and how it's actually harder than a 9-5 job. I'm still deciding. What do you think, professor?"
There were a few whispers in the class as she thought hard on the question. At least that's what you thought she was doing.
"Why don't you workshop that and get back to me tomorrow?" She finally said, turning away from you and moving onto another classmate.
You pouted at yet another presentation subject being shot down and made a note in the margins of your notebook to do just that. You hated going to her office hours, because you felt like you could never really do anything right.
When class let out, you pulled your phone out to text your friends about your change of plans tomorrow, when you felt a gentle touch on your elbow and turned to find Lizewski. Knowing that he was quiet and always a little bit stuttery, you smiled politely and gave him your full attention.
"Hi, how are you?"
"H-Hey," he said, shoving his hands in his pockets, "Uh...I saw that you've been having a bit of a hard time with our media class."
A few people passed by the two of you in the hallway and greeted you but shot a curious look his way.
"It's so bad isn't it?" You frowned, crossing your arms in front of your chest, "I'm literally so great at most Social Media outlets, I don't understand why this is so hard. I mean...it's all the same shit."
He nodded, wide eyed and eager as always, "You're so right."
"And I'm trying really hard, but I just can't get it."
"I can help!" He blurted out. "Only if you want. I mean, you probably don't need my help. But I'd be happy to, if you want."
"You'd help me?" You asked, genuinely touched. "I don't know if I can pay you much, but how much do you want?"
"You don't have to pay me, come on." He dropped his eyes to his sneakers and shifted his weight on his feet, "We've known each other since middle school."
This time your eyes widened in surprise, "We have?"
This time it was his turn to look at you in surprise and confusion, "You went to my Bar Mitzvah."
"I did?" Then you thought about it, "I only remember going to one, and it was this boy named David."
He let out a short laugh and nodded, "Yes, that was me."
"David?! But everyone calls you Lizewski! That's your last name?" He nodded again and you gasped. Your whole world turned upside down. Without thinking you pulled him into a tight hug, "It's so nice to see you again, David! I thought you moved away in high school!"
"No," he said against your shoulder, "I just grew my hair out. And got taller. And you can call me Dave, or David, or Lisewski. Whatever you want."
You pulled away from the hug with a huge grin, and you reached out to readjust his glasses which sat crookedly on his face. Then you looked him over, trying to see the skinny thirteen year old you remembered in the grown man in front of you. You could almost see it. If he cut his hair shorter, and lost about a foot of height, he'd totally look the same. You grasped his shoulders in appreciation.
"Well this is wonderful! I've never had a friend for longer than 3 years before!"
As you walked side by side across campus, you could feel people staring like you had three heads. After the fourth set of eyes on you, you nudged Dave with your elbow.
"Do I have something on my face?" You tilted your head from side to side so he could examine you properly, and he shook his head.
"No, why?"
"People keep staring at me." You frowned, "It's kind of weird."
Dave said nothing at first, but looked around to see the evidence of your suspicion and sighed. "I think it's because you're hanging out with me."
You snorted, "That can't be it. That's so silly."
He kicked a small rock down the footpath and hummed in disagreement, "Is it? I mean...you're you. I'm me. We don't really hang out. I think people are used to seeing you with guys from...Sigma Alpha Epsilon"
You still didn't get it, and you crinkled your nose in disgust at the mention of the name.
"I don't talk to them. They're losers," you shuddered again, "They all have a weird obsession with skulls too. Have you ever seen those skulls with the blue stripe down the middle? They all have them on their trucks. It's so weird."
You watched him raise a single brow as he kicked the rock further down the path, "Are you talking about The Punisher's symbol?"
Before you could ask, he showed you a picture on his phone and you nodded.
"Yeah that's it! What's The Punisher? Is that, like, a band?"
He chuckled, "It's a comic book character and his symbol gets misused a lot. He's a vigilante."
You frowned, thinking of why someone would choose to do something like that. That seemed kind of mean.
"Well can you really see me hanging out with a bunch of guys who like vigilantes?"
For some reason, Dave's step seemed to falter, and he peered at you curiously, "Oh. Are you--do you think vigilantes are bad?"
There was a hint of poorly disguised panic in his voice.
You were confused about why he was confused. The answer was obvious.
"Vigils are a good thing," you said, matter-of-factly. You were surprised that you had to break this down to someone as smart as him. "Sometimes people have vigils for their dead grandmas and their pets, and stuff. Someone who's anti-vigils is obviously not a good person."
Dave gave you a long, strange look and laughed. Like, actually laughed. You didn't understand what was so funny about being pro-vigils. You felt like that wasn't exactly a controversial opinion. Were you on the wrong side of history this whole time? Were vigils actually bad?
"Are they bad for the environment or something? Like, the candles?" You squinted at him. He rushed to ease your worries with an extended hand.
"No! No, it's--vigilantes aren't people who are anti-vigils. They beat up bad people."
Oh.
"What a weird name to have for that," You admitted rolling the word over in your brain. Then you brightened at the memory of something, "Hey there was a guy back home that was like that! Kick-Ass! Do you remember him?"
He said nothing for a moment, but shrugged in response.
"Yeah, kinda."
"All the girls in our grade were obsessed with him," you continued, fishing through your bag for your dorm key. "At first, we thought it was that one weird guy who used to try and sell us coke from the trunk of his car down the street from our school. But one girl said that he saved her dad from getting jumped, and he was apparently, like, young. At least college aged."
"Ha," Dave simply said, "Maybe. I kind of remember people thinking it was someone from our school, though. Someone most people wouldn't even really expect, because it'd be super hard to keep a low profile. Someone who's probably super strong and really cool, even though most people don't know it."
You suddenly giggled, "What if it was that guy Todd Haynes?"
Dave stumbled over his own feet and shot his hand out to steady himself.
"You know who Todd Haynes is?"
"Yeah, I know him. He was in my gym class!"
"He's my best friend, I've known him my whole life. I'm--shocked that you know him." You brightened at the new information.
"I didn't know Todd had friends! You sure are full of surprises today." He stared at you again. For a super long time. You weren't sure what was going on in his brain. You touched your cheek, "Again with the staring. I think you're lying. I definitely have something on my face."

KIDD; how does eustass kidd apologize after a petty fight
summary: read it in the title folks
warning/s: gn!reader, nsfw but not too in depth, fluff, hurt/comfort-ish
Tumblr media
* it's just about him always leaving the toilet seat up and he wouldn't listen when you tell him not to, when he would coop up in his workshop and get snappy at you, when he'd be too busy to have some fun with you, or when his stuff is always disorganized and you nag him for it but he'd turn a deaf ear
* most of the times, if not all the time, he'd be keen on finding where you are
* looking all over the ship as he barges in on every door he sees until he finds you
* and when he does, he'd restrain himself from smiling when he sees your furrowed brows, puckered up lips, and flaring nostrils cuz he finds you so cute
* he'd expect that you would ignore him and you did, so he'd make sure to bug the shit out of you until you talk to him
* poking your cheeks, asking you incessantly about what you're doing, engulfing you in his arms from behind and leaning down against your ear
* "you still gonna ignore me? how long do you plan on doing that?"
* "man, here i was planning to take ya to that sushi place you were whining about."
* "ain't you cute when you're angry."
* just when you've had enough, you stood up, and ought to face him to give him a piece of your mind
* he'd lean down and kiss you, snaking his hands down your neck, to your shoulders, down to your arms and pulled your waist closer to his as he rubbed on the curve of your hips
* he'd be satisfied to let you go when he hears you whine
* "sorry." he'll say it right after he pulls away, and then place a kiss on your forehead. "still mad?" he'd say tucking a hair behind your ear
* once you're all hot and bothered, he'd pull you closer by your arm and place a hand at the back of your head as he embraced you
* "come on, doll. talk to me. it ain't like you to shut the fuck up once i'm talking, is it?"
* you however, can't muster out words from the warfare within your mind and heart. he'd always do this, one kiss and your anger's all gone. and the fact that he's learning to say sorry even when he's at fault for the littlest things tugged at your heart more than it rationalized your mind
* so you'd end up tearing up from the frustration and start drumming at his chest to emphasize your annoyance
* "j-just don't be an asshole next time."
* "ain't that my charm, m'eudail (darling)?"
* he'd kiss you one last time, this time with more hands since you already forgave him
* he'd slide his hands inside of your shirt and press the small of your back further to his body
* and then guiding your hands to roam around the span of his sinewy arms
* "we gonna go to that sushi place or have fun in here?" he smiled in between the kiss, watching you pant under him
* "let's just say, i need another apology from you before going there."
* he'd be generous enough to give head, being more sensual than rough like he used to
* he'd stroke your thighs more while eating you out
* he'd maneuever you to your side, earnestly looking at your eyes with each thrust
* fingers intertwined as he placed kisses on your forearms
* aaaaand you two end up not going bc you both took a long time shacking tf up, he really did makes it up to you though. always

Representation starts between you and yourself.
Don’t worry that the world doesn’t understand you or represent you or say the right things about you, because they won’t.
Focus on understanding yourself. This will be hard. Get out into the world, and figure out how you want to be in it, as an aspec person.
Don’t ask “What do people like me enjoy? How do people like me move? What do people like me wear? What do people like me listen to?” Those questions erase you. There is no template.
Our under-representation has been a gift, because it hasn’t saddled us with a library of stereotypes and archetypes to conform to. (It will, one day, but for now we get to enjoy making ourselves up as we go along.)
Georgia Warr isn’t charismatic like Alastor who isn’t nerdy like Lilith Clawthorne who isn’t quiet like Isaac Henderson, who isn’t audacious like Gwenpool, who isn’t an overthinker like Georgia Warr. None of those things make them aspec, they are simply aspec with those things.
Go find out if you like to travel, or if you like to make sushi, or if you like to restore vintage bikes, or if you like to run in charity 5k races every weekend, or if you’re a gifted bassist with a love of 70s funk music. Go find out if you’ve been “wearing” a personality that isn’t yours, but met people’s expectations for you. Go find out.
In 2023, I realized I wasn’t a “malfunctioning” heterosexual guy. I had always been a perfectly asexual and aromantic Steve. That began a long but fun process of “unmasking”. I started looking for all the things I did in order to pass as a normal and viable heterosexual guy.
What specifically changed doesn’t matter, because it was my “fake” stuff. Your fake stuff will be different. My fake stuff was the product of decades of not knowing about asexuality or aromanticism, and trying to fake the things I didn’t have. Your fake stuff might be the product of living with one or two ill-fitting role models for how to “be” your flavour of aspec.
How I changed my fake stuff is what matters. I just did everything differently, so I could disrupt all my old routine, patterned thinking—blow the whole goddamned mess up—and leave room to trust that my intuition would start stacking the debris up in new shapes, and painting on the empty walls.
I tried new music, new shows, new books, new vacation plans, even used different apps and biked different paths. I unplugged from old podcasts and and and.
I’ll write about specific experiences later. What matters is that they worked.
Over and over again I’ve heard, “You seem more yourself, now,” or “you’re becoming yourself.”
And the funny thing is, that authenticity—that transformation—inspired questions and corrections and awareness and all the stuff we want allows to change about themselves. I have a group of close friends and a constellation of casual friends and coworkers who’ve seen that aspec identities are real, and that they’re not always what they expected or assumed. That’s let to lots of conversations, workshops, year-long chat threads, and a slow but irreversible trend towards understanding.
First, understand yourself, and then the world will have no choice but to eventually understand you.
Or, to put it another way, the world will drop their bullshit about you once you drop your bullshit about yourself.

I want to hear more pregnant Bezz thoughts of yours. What's his pregnancy like? Cravings? Illness? What does he do most of the time? You mentioned he isolated himself, does he get sad when lonely? Does Pecco visit him and help him with stuff? Does Bezz attempt to remember who the father could be and contact him? How does Bezz feel isolating himself when he's usually a very social person? Any preg!bezz thoughts you have, I love your cute au 🩵🩵
ANON I'm sorry I'm so late but my head has lately decided go to a writing strike HSHSHSHS but I've been listening to Alejandra Guzman, Cristina Aguilera and RBD in loop and now I'm better
You have very VERY important questions.  Preg! Bezz has been spinning like a piece of spicy chicken in my brain and im go and talking to a bunch of moms to project my man into their problems wuwuwu
This answer is going to be too long and a mess, I'm so sorry orz orz orz
(and each pregnancy is completely unique. What is normal for one person may be a sign of absolute danger for another. Always remember to go to your trusted gynecologist/obstetrician!)
1. What's his pregnancy like? Cravings? Illness?
He craves Japanese food but is banned from sushi!  He is an unhappy Bezz when people told him that sushi is dangerous for the baby.  Beyond that, he doesn't really have food cravings, he just eats a lot (and then throws up because he feels guilty for eating so much. He has more problems with food than cravings. TCA/Eating Disorder Bezz is very personal to me- but it's going to therapy and continuing with a new nutritionist!)
About symptoms.  At first he thinks it's an asymptomatic pregnancy, and it's more like the pregnancy is camouflaging itself.
Like. He's throwing up his guts, but he think “its relates it to the end of the season and the stress causes that in him” (even though he's no longer in line for the championship) (and he's never thrown up from stress before).  He then feels fatigued and can't sleep, but that's all because he travels a lot, jet lag and all that.  He misses his dog and cries looking at his photos. He has belly cramps, but it's probably something he ate in the paddock when he had a sudden aversion to the smell of chicken and he couldn't eat anything from the hospitality.
On top of that, his painkillers are kicking him between physical therapy.
When the season ends and his body has a chance to catch up, all the symptoms hit him like a truck. Headaches, heartburn, constipation and generally the desire to die to end the torment of him. He is also bloated…? and feels like shit. The bug is charging for every fall he had at the end of the season, or at least that's what Bezz thinks as he gets up for the second time in the night to urinate at the end of the second trimester or when he has to drink his calcium-fortified milk -very expensive and he hates the taste-.  The bug is really demanding with they needs!
2. What does he do most of the time? You mentioned he isolated himself, does he get sad when lonely?
I said “practically vanished from the face of the earth.”  He wasn't really alone, he is a family man, and of course he returned to his childhood home!  His older sister was very happy for him!  (The youngest offered him a rue tea as soon as he mentioned that he are pregnant, before Marco clarified that he was going to keep it- wait “Laura, how do you know that these are abortifacients?” “Oh Marco, don't ask questions for which you don't want answers.")
(i'm sorry i love his sisters so much hshshs)
But yeah, he feels so lonely because he went from spending almost all the time with his team or the people at the ranch, not just the other riders, and now is just his family and his new “medical crew” (obstetrician, psychologist, nutritionist).
Also, He is an unemployed man!  At least until Valentino calls him and tells him he has something for him to do at the academy (like Migno, lol)
He can't help in the mechanical workshop (although now that Vito goes to the races with him, I wonder what's happened with that), so he goes with his mom to do the administrative work.
He hates it so much :)
Those first months are torture for him and his family. His two sisters capitulated as soon as they could and left (they have a life to, Marco!). When he's not helping his mom or learning to become expert in Excel, he's watching old seasons of MotoGP, F1, and NBA. He stays at home mostly. He gets in a bad mood about it, but he prefers it to having to face his friends :(
But he can now recite by heart the podiums of every MotoGP and F1 race from 2007 and 2008!
3. Does Pecco visit him and help him with stuff?
Yeah! Bezz calls Pecco to tell him because he knows he can't run away forever for his friends, but he calls him at week 15 which is a long time past the period for a termination of pregnancy (wait, are abortions even legal in Italy?).  He called pecco when he say himself “there is no turning back from this.”
 (He's a fool...)
Pecco, once he discovers that Bezz is no longer going to lock himself in and respond to his messages (although not those from the academy's WhatsApp group...), finds out his home address and appears from time to time to check on him and take him out to eat Japanese food (but not sushi :c).  He texts him constantly and listen to Marco when he calls him to tell him something about how horrible he feels and how none of the websites he's seen talk enough about back pain (they do, he doesn't really read a lot).
Bezz is also ignoring the absolute circus that is the 2024 season because he feels rubbish not being there, and Pecco is happy not to touch on the topic at all because talking about the season is talking about Martín and Márquez and no, thanks.
Pecco invites himself to the baby reveal date in the obstetrician (Marco doesn't throw a reveal party, booo) and together they discover that the bug that Bezz is having will be a little boy.
It's Pecco who brings Luca and Franky when Bezz says he's ready to mention it to more people (after finding out the sex of the baby).  Luca is the obvious choice for everything and Franky is Franky, so he has to be there. And they go on a shopping trip - with Pecco’s bonus - so they don't have time to process anything at all.
Franky keeps trying to buy VR46-themed things (why are there so many?) while Luca asks the -no- innocent question of “who is the father?”
4. Does Bezz attempt to remember who the father could be and contact him?
NOW. THIS QUESTION.
Short answer: no :)
Long answer: To each person who asks, Bezz will say a very eloquent “I am the father of the baby :D”.  He admits that he had sex with a lot of people at that time and doesn't remember most of them, so it's not worth looking for the child's other father. The bug is his, he is carrying it in his body and they don't need anyone else.
REAL Answer: Marco absolutely has an idea who the father is and will DIE before telling anyone, not even his family.  He will take that secret to the grave.  When his little bug is born and grows with brown eyes and to have curly brown hair, no one will ask about it anymore.
(when the boy grows up to have blue eyes and straight hair, people have QUESTIONS. Marco is not answering.)
SORRY IT'S SO LONG it's just- pregbez

Clan of Three (Book 3) Chapter Ten
Father Figure! Mandalorian/Din Djarin x Teen! Reader
Chapter Ten: The Bar
Summary: (Y/N), Mando, and Bo-Katan investigate droids.
The Duchess and Bombardier sent Mando, (Y/N), and Bo-Katan to speak to Captain Helgait, their head constable, to learn more about the incidents of droid malfunctions. Grogu stayed with the Duchess, out of harms way and happily snacking on delicious treats.
“The droids were all reprogrammed to serve the community from the stockpile of captured imperial robotics scheduled to be scrapped at Karthon,” said Helgait. “The droids’ reprogramming was a complete success, until one day, an isolated event…” He showed a video of a trash collecting droid fritzing and throwing garbage around the street. “Then others.”
Another video showed a droid throwing a woman’s packages and tearing the clothing apart as she cried out.
“This is just a small collection of malfunctions that our security cameras caught,” said Helgait.
A third video showed a droid stealing a speeder and crashing into a building as people hurried to dodge the reckless driving. A fourth video had a sushi-making droid cutting up ingredients. Unfortunately, the glitch caused it to start…cutting at other things as people screamed.
            “Turn them off,” said Bo-Katan.
            “What?” asked Helgait.
“Why not turn them all off?” clarified (Y/N). “The droids. Until you figure out the issues.”
“Who’s in charge of that?” asked Bo-Katan.
            “I am,” said Helgait.
(Y/N) furrowed their brow. Not great vibes from this old guy.
“There’s a failsafe cutoff switch built into the system,” explained Helgait. “However…”
            “What?” asked Mando.
“The citizens voted against any interruption in droid services,” said Helgait. He chuckled mirthlessly. “They can’t live without it.”
(Y/N) blinked. As a kid raised on an Ushti farm, they had very few droids, just some basic ones for gathering grain. They and their parents did more of the manual labor. So the idea of being unable to live without droids was a bit strange to them.
“And why’s that?” questioned Mando. He too disapproved of too much reliance on droids due to his own trauma with the Empire and their droids.
“The citizens are no longer required to work and can spend their days engaging in recreation, the arts, and participating in our direct democracy,” said Helgait.
Is that a little bitterness I detect? thought (Y/N).
“If we shut down our droids, our citizens wouldn’t know how to survive,” said Helgait. “Our society would collapse.”
“Then what do you want from us?” asked Bo-Katan.
“To seek out and decommission any remaining rogue droids until we can fix the problem,” said Helgait.
“Give us the list,” sighed Bo-Katan.
“Well, for that, you’ll have to go to the lower level and speak to the Ugnaughts,” said Helgait.
“ ‘Ugnaughts?’ ” repeated Mando and (Y/N). They both thought of Kuiil, the Ugnaught who had fought and died for them when Gideon first attacked on Nevarro.
            “Ugnaughts,” reiterated Helgait.
l
“See what happens when you rely on droids?” commented Mando as the elevator slid down.
“Are you taking this personally?” asked Bo-Katan.
“Just pointing it out,” said Mando.
“Let’s just finish this so we can be on our way,” said Bo-Katan.
The elevator stopped, and the doors slid open. Before them lay a workshop where a group of Ugnaughts were working on droid parts with the same calm, meticulous work Kuiil had devoted to his own salvaged droids.
“I am Bo-Katan Kryze,” announced the woman in question. “Which one of you is in charge?”
No response or change in the Ugnaughts’ work.
“We were sent on behalf of the Duchess and Captain Bombardier to help you with your droid problem,” said Bo-Katan. Still nothing. “Hello?” She huffed. “This is going nowhere.”
(Y/N) nudged Mando. “You’re good at communicating with other cultures, and you spent time with Kuiil. Could you try?”
Mando nodded. “I could.” He looked out at the Ugnaughts. “I am Mandalorian Din Djarin, friend of Ugnaught Kuiil.” The Ugnaughts finally paused and looked up. “You will answer our questions and help us with our task. I have spoken.”
The Ugnaughts silently left their work and sat at a table. They gazed expectantly at Mando, (Y/N), and Bo-Katan, who took a seat across from them respectfully.
“Thank you for hosting us and sharing your table,” said (Y/N), stumbling slightly as they tried to speak with the calm formality Mando had. They wanted to be able to communicate as well as he did.
“We were engaged to hunt down and eliminate the malfunctioning droids,” said Mando.
“There are no such droids,” said an Ugnaught.
“You may not have heard the news down here, but your droids are wreaking havoc in the world above,” said Bo-Katan.
“There is not much of which we are not aware,” said another Ugnaught. “These halls are the central nervous system of the city. I assure you, the droids are not malfunctioning.”
(Y/N) assessed the Ugnaughts. No twinge in the Force, no sign that there was any doubt in his words. So either he believed himself to be correct, or there really wasn’t a malfunction. So what would be causing the droid’s to act so strangely?
“Citizens have been harmed by these malfunctioning machines,” said Bo-Katan.
“This is not the case. I have spoken,” said the Ugnaught with even finality.
“We’re not in any way suggesting that your work is to blame,” said Mando. “The stories of Ugnaughts’ skill with smithing droids are legendary. We know that Ugnaughts are considered the hardest working species in the galaxy. We, like you, have been engaged with a task to perform. We will investigate the dangerous incidents.”
“We would appreciate your help,” said (Y/N).
The Ugnaughts leaned towards one another and spoke quietly before one Ugnaught handed their speaker a tablet. The speaker looked at Mando, Bo-Katan, and (Y/N).
“Here are the locations of the droids you seek,” said the Ugnaught.
“Thank you,” said Mando, taking the tablet. “We are in your debt. I have spoken.”
l
“What was that?” asked Bo-Katan as she, Mando, and (Y/N) sat in a pod. They sped towards the location of the closest droid under the lanterns of the city, the sky outside the dome dark with night.
“I’ve spent time with Ugnaughts,” explained Mando. “There’s a particular way to communicate with them. Accusing their work of malfunctioning was an insult. Now, they’ve indicated there’s a likelihood that the next event will at the loading docks.”
“How sure are they?” asked (Y/N).
“Hard to tell,” said Mando. “Ugnaughts always seem to be sure of themselves.”
(Y/N) nodded. “When they said the droids had no malfunction, I couldn’t sense any doubt. So they must be pretty confident. That, or there’s something else going on.”
“Imperial droids with imperial programmers? That could spell trouble,” said Bo-Katan. “But the Ugnaughts are the only lead we’ve got, so we might as well have a look aroud.”
The pod stopped, and the doors opened. The space port was bustling with droid activity; the machines had no need to rest even as the night was upon them. They tirelessly carried packages and boxes as needed. It was strange to see battle droids doing such domestic work, but that was Plazir-15’s way.
“I havent’t seen battle droids since the Clone Wars,” said Bo-Katan as they descended into the delivery zone.
“I have,” said Mando, remembering the death of his parents. The memory left a bitter taste in his mouth.
“Any of ‘em look suspicious?” asked Bo-Katan.
“They all look suspicious,” said Mando.
“Halt,” said the droid foreman. “This is a restricted are. You are to vacate immediately.”
“We have a few questions,” said Bo-Katan.
“Show me your identification please,” said the droid.
“The Duchess sent us to investigate the droid malfunctions,” said (Y/N).
“Yes, I saw the reports,” said the droid. “Rest assured, I’ve had the entire line of loaders undergo maintenance protocols as a safety measure. The, uh, certification is on file.” It saw Mando waving his hand at the battle droids. “Uh, I wouldn’t do that if I were you.
            “Why’s that?” asked Mando.
“As a precaution,” said the droid. “Their base function was warfare.”
“I thought they were just checked out,” said Mando.
“They were.” The droid flinched as Mando kicked a battle droid. “Uh, what are you doing?”
“Then this shouldn’t faze them,” said Mando. He continued kicking droids, and (Y/N) nodded in approval.
“Excuse me, sir!” said the droid foreman.
Mando kicked another droid, and it fell over. It stood and swung at him, sending him to the floor. (Un?)fortunately, his provocation had worked. The droid made a run for it as Bo-Katan and (Y/N) shot at it.
“Really re-certified,” muttered (Y/N), running after the droid with Bo-Katan and Mando on their heels.
The droid ran out of the landing port to the neon-lit street. People screamed as it and the Mandalorians ran through them. The droid grabbed a trashcan and threw it at them. Bo-Katan and Mando ducked, and Mando was quick to pull (Y/N) down protectively. The trio were quick to scramble to their feet and run after the droid again as the citizens of Plazir-15 cried out in fear.
It ran into an alleyway, and the Mandalorians pushed their way through the panicked crowd to follow. It cut into another street and grabbed a tall mechanical column and launched it the pursuers. (Y/N), Mando, and Bo-Katan dropped to the ground, and the column smashed behind them and erupted into flames. They jumped up in a moment and were after the droid again, though.
“Keep going! Watch (Y/N)!” said Mando as he veered off down another alley.
Bo-Katan nodded sharply. She had let (Y/N) run into danger once; she would protect them this time. After a few moments of veering through streets and crowds, Mando crashed out of a window and knocked the droid over. It stumbled back up, and Mando turned on the ground and brought his blaster up. He shot quickly, and the battle droid stumbled. (Y/N) and Bo-Katan fired from behind, and the combined blaster shots felled the droid.
Small droids were quick to fly into the street with sirens blaring. “This is a crime scene. Please step back.”
(Y/N) ran over to Mando and helped him up before they gazed down at the deactivated droid.
“I found a spark pad,” said Bo-Katan, already examining the body.
            “What’s it say?” asked Mando.
            “ ‘The Resistor,’ ” read Bo-Katan.
“Sounds like a bar,” said (Y/N).
            Mando nodded. “Droid bar.”
Bo-Katan smirked. “And there’s an address.”
“Let’s go,” said (Y/N), and the three of them headed off as the battle droid’s body was collected behind them.
l
“Let me do the talking in there,” said Bo-Katan as they approached the droid bar.
            “Why is that?” asked Mando.
“Because I wanna get the information fast and get to the fleet,” said Bo-Katan.
“So do I. What’s your point?” asked Mando.
“You don’t get along well with droids,” said (Y/N).
Mando shrugged. “I don’t like droids.”
“You do it your way, and now let me do it mine, okay?” said Bo-Katan as they stepped up to a doorway. “This is the address.”
They stepped inside and were immediately accosted by a clamor of beeps and trills as droids rolled around with one another and drank oil at tables together. The chatter came to an abrupt halt as the droids noticed the biological organisms. Bo-Katan, Mando, and (Y/N) continued through the bar to the barkeeper’s counter as lightbulb eyes watched them.
“I don’t think they get many of our kind here,” said Mando.
“Can I help you?” asked the bartender droid.
“That depends. Is this The Resistor?” asked Bo-Katan.
“It is,” said the bartender droid.
Bo-Katan placed the spark pad on the counter. “That spark pad was found on a rogue battle droid.”
“We give out lots of spark pads,” said the bartender droid. “What are you getting at?”
“There has been a string of malfunctions that all point to this oil can,” said Bo-Katan.
“You can check my registry,” said the bartender droid. “We are in full compliance with Planetary Hierarchical—”
Mando grabbed an electric device and held the sparking device towards the droid. “If you don’t start answering the questions, I’ll yank your memory circuit and dissect it back at the lab. Nobody leaves.”
“Someone tried to,” murmured (Y/N), looking at a blue droid frozen at the exit.
“Stay where I can see you,” said Mando to the bartender droid as they approached the blue one.
“What are you doing?” whispered Bo-Katan.
“You’re wasting your time. You can’t reason with droids,” said Mando.
“Their behavior is programmed,” pointed out Bo-Katan. “All they do is reason.”
“R5 has anxiety,” interjected (Y/N). “Not very reasonable.” They weren’t exactly endorsing harassing the droids that could attack, but they just had a thought and decided to speak. That was pretty much how they made any decision.
“And they’re also programmed not to harm organics. How’s that going?” said Mando.
“Look, you are not helping,” said Bo-Katan. “Just because the malfunctioning droids happen to visit here doesn’t mean that this one is in on it.”
“I want to help,” said the bartender droid.
“You want me to pull your hearing sensors too?” questioned Mando harshly.
“Buir, hear him out,” said (Y/N). Mando relented, only slightly and only because they asked. (Y/N) nodded to the droid. “Go on.”
“We are worried that if these horrible incidents continue, we will be…” The droid trailed off in what (Y/N) could only equate to fear.
            “You’ll be what?” they asked.
“There are concerns among my customers that we will be replaced,” said the bartender.
            “By what?” asked Bo-Katan.
“Humans,” replied the droid. “Most of us have been refurbished and reprogrammed. Some droids on Plazir date back to the separatists. The New Republic would send them to scrap. But here on Plazir, they are given a second chance.”
“Well, these catastrophes don’t help your argument,” said Mando.
“Exactly,” said the droid. “That’s why we need your help. We don’t want to be replaced. We still have a lot to contribute. Human life is so short. They don’t ask that much of us. Organics created us. It’s the least we can do.”
The droids in the bar clamored in agreement.
“Mr. Bartender,” said (Y/N). “Do you think something…infected the droids’ programming in some way?” Whether this was purposeful or not, there has to be a link between the affected droids.
The droid nodded jerkily. “I have records in the back. Come.”
Mando and Bo-Katan followed Mr. Bartender and (Y/N) as they went to the back. The droid “sat” at a table across from them and pulled out a box of tablets.
“There is no selection of beverages as with organics,” explained Mr. Bartender. “Here, droids are served Nepenthe.”
“What’s Nepenthe?” asked Mando, attempting to be more open-minded since the droid was trying to help and (Y/N) seemed open.
“It is a viscous lubricant that protects against mechanical wear while delivering program refreshing sub-particles,” explained Mr. Bartender.
Program refreshing sub-particles? thought (Y/N). I’m not a droidsmith, but that sounds important to the issue Plazir is having.
“So Nepenthe reprograms the droids that drink here?” questioned Mando.
“It patches the programming as the commands of the mainframe change,” clarified Mr. Bartender. He opened the box of tablets and flipped through until picking out one. “It seems the malfunctioning droids all imbibed from the same batch of Nepenthe.”
“So if we can figure out how what other droids were affected and find out how the Nepenthe caused the malfunction, we’ll have a solution,” said (Y/N).
Mr. Bartender nodded jerkily. “I cannot examine the properties of the Nepenthe myself, but there is equipment on Plazir.”
Bo-Katan nodded. “We’ll notify lab techs to examine the battle droid.”
“Thank you,” said (Y/N). The droid nodded in acknowledgement. They were finally on the trail of the answer.

Tilda x Elisabeth for breaking down a ship meme! :D
Ooooo, thanks for the ask! :3 Since you didn't specify any questions, I'll just answer most of them. >:3
How did they meet? Canonically, at a conference in Paris, Tilda struck up a conversation the morning following Elisabet's keynote speech.
Who developed romantic feelings first? It was more or less mutually slowly falling for each other.
Who is their biggest shipper? They don't really have one because both are loners and very private people, so it's almost as if no one even knows they're a couple.
When did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances? After a ridiculously long time of "will they-won't they", and "almost kisses", Tilda just blurted out "I'm sorry but I have to kiss you because I think I might just die if I don't."
Who confessed their feelings first? Tilda.
What was their official first date? Dinner at the Euromast tower in Rotterdam overlooking the city at sunset.
How do they feel about double dates/group dates? They would only ever participate in such activities ironically.
What do they do in their down time? Tilda spends most of her time working on creative things, reading, studying history, music, drawing and painting, but she also enjoys cooking; Elisabet is not as good at downtime, so her projects tend to overlap with whatever she's working on professionally as well, she spends a lot of time tinkering with things or designing things, but when she needs to do a hard reset of her brain, she indulges in the most tasteless reality-TV shows she can find.
What was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like? This never happened because neither had any parents by the time they met.
What was their first fight over and how did they get past it? Over Tilda feeling like Elisabet doesn't appreciate anything she does for her and feeling like she's not as important to Elisabet as Elisabet is to her -which isn't the case, it's just that Elisabet is naturally much more reserved than Tilda, and her way of saying "I love you" is much more subtle than the grandiose romantic gestures (which inevitably make Elisabet feel like she's being asphyxiated rather than loved) Tilda gives her and thus expects in return. They don't really ever fully get over it because despite thoroughly explaining themselves to each other and saying "I understand what you're saying and where you're coming from", the fundamental difference in how they express their feelings remains in the background.
Which one is more easily made jealous? Tilda.
What is their favorite thing to get to eat? If they're eating out, sushi, or a good steak. If they're having dinner at home, Tilda's lasagne (all made from scratch, of course) with garlic bread.
Who’s the cuddly one? What their favorite cuddling position? They're equally cuddly. Their favorite cuddling position, if you can call it that, is Tilda sitting on the couch and Elisabet lying on her back on the couch, her head resting on Tilda's thigh. Or, classic, big spoon-little spoon, with Tilda as the big spoon.
Are they hand holders? Not really.
How long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time? What’s the circumstances? A long long time because neither wanted to have sex just for the sake of getting the first time out of the way, they waited for when it felt like the most natural thing to do, and it took a while to get there, but it was worth the wait.
Who tops? Tilda.
Who does the shopping and the cooking? Tilda.
Which one is more organized and prone to tidiness? They're both messy and tidy in their own way. Elisabet's desk is a mess but her workshop is immaculate; Tilda's home is neat and organized except for her kitchen which is a mess, and she never makes the bed but her closet is immaculate.
Who proposes? Tilda, buuuut she won't get the response she's hoping for. xD
I'll skip the rest of the marriage-related questions because they are not relevant. :D Thanks so much for the ask! ^_^

-For many years I held many preconceived notions about Atlantis gay cruises. Of course I was worried I was not hot enough, slim enough, muscled enough, and I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the party people. Yet so many people have told me in the past few years that an Atlantis cruise can be like any other: what you make of it. You don’t have to go to dance parties, stay up all night, or be less than 10% body fat to enjoy yourself. And IF you do want to go to dance parties, there are plenty of them, with fun creative costumes, great music, and a sea of sexy beings, which I can verify from personal experience is NOT the case on any straight cruise I’ve been on. So my partner Santi and I decided to jump in and go. We had actually signed up for another we couldn’t go on, so the anticipation had been building for years now.
-Arriving at the cruise terminal, it was clear how different this week was going to be, as so many parts of the queer tribe trickled in with bubbles, lewks, and smiles. The Oasis of the Seas is enormous, with distinctive zones including a promenade which felt a little mall-like but was spacious and led to a boardwalk, a beautiful green park space spanning another deck, and of course the top decks with pools and hot tubs. The whole ship creates a giant queer space where people can show off and be radically self-expressive. The costumes people brought were so impressive, and most everyone brought great energy and friendliness to the cruise. Unfortunately the wind and a bit of rain prevented the first few days from being spent poolside, but it did allow us to spend time in the thermal spa and enjoy the welcome party (one of my favorites because it was in such a large space), dog tag tea dance, pink party, and neon party before we even got to a port. The first port was San Juan, and we hiked through the rain to see the fort. Despite my military service, I hate the war-like instinct of our past and present. We are so lucky to be able to live fairly freely in this moment and just be ourselves. -Gays being ourselves can be a lot, especially for those like me who tend toward being a little introverted, slightly socially awkward. During moments where the crowd and music was all too overwhelming, it was easy to just slip away, get fresh air, maybe a costume change or quiet moment in the cabin, then join the party again. I wish every dance party had the option of going downstairs to one’s room to enjoy a respite. Could we keep up with the younger and more hardcore EDM / party folks all week? Hell no! But I loved dipping into the party when it felt right, and dipping out when it was time. Fortunately Santi keeps me grounded. We didn’t go to every dance party, and we did get some rest. -That rest did allow us to go to some of the restaurants and see some shows. The sushi restaurant stood out with a fantastic truffled lobster sushi roll, and the chef’s table experience rivaled many celebrated Bay Area restaurants. (Kudos Chef Abigail) The rest of the food was fine, and we hadn’t planned on focusing on the food anyway. There could have had more bottom-friendly food with improved veggie options and whole grains and plant based proteins. But the SHOWS! OMG the Aqua 80 show (imagine ‘O’ on a smaller scale, on the back of a ship) was spectacular! They water danced and slack lined and flew in on wires with twisting rings, but the diving was my favorite. The 3-meter springboards were underutilized, but they impressively dove from about 10-meter and about 20-meters (from the highest part of the ship structure). No wonder they can’t do it in high winds. Really fearless and goofy but clearly skilled divers. It capped off a sweet date night with Santi. We missed the aerial show but did catch Alan Cummings perhaps workshopping part of his new show. I caught the tail end of the last night’s comedy show, including making merciless fun of folks (while covering up their names) from their Telegram posts during the week. I forgot the comedian’s name, but he truly hit the funny bone. We’re all ridiculous, so let’s laugh about it. Really loved this wild ride of a week. Thanks to all the sprites and nymphs and oceanids who made this trip Into the Deep one that will no doubt call us back to the queer seas very soon.

Organizing a business event that wows clients without breaking the bank can be quite a task. Creating original concepts that are both innovative and polished is crucial. Discover 5 budget-friendly corporate event ideas that will captivate attendees.
Hire an Event Planner
Bringing in an event planner for corporate events takes the stress out of coordinating complex gatherings. An expert planner handles venue booking, catering, technical requirements, scheduling, and vendor management. This lets you focus on networking and client relationships without worrying about event execution.
This section suggests hiring an event planning professional as an impactful idea. It elaborates on the benefits of this approach in two sentences aimed to convince readers of the value.
Tumblr media
Host Engaging Workshops
Interactive corporate workshops make for memorable events compared to standard presentations. Consider workshops facilitating team-building activities, professional development sessions, or forums to exchange business ideas. Attendees will appreciate participating and connecting over shared interests relevant to their work.
The next creative idea centers on workshops rather than passive activities, using vivid language to paint a picture of potential workshop themes. The final sentence drives home the participant value of this concept.
Feature Live Food Stations
Live Food stations that serve freshly prepared dishes add excitement and anticipation to corporate events. People come together to socialize as chefs demonstrate their culinary skills by making dishes such as sushi rolls, customized pasta, and freshly cooked dessert crepes. The experience is delightful with its sights, sounds, and aromas.
This section offers live food preparation stations as another fun thing to add to an event. It tries to show how appealing it is to experience by using physical details and language that is focused on action.
Incorporate Carnival Elements
For a dose of lighthearted fun, incorporate carnival games for events like bean bag tosses, skeeballs, or photo booths. Consider including ballots for prize drawings featuring your company’s products. Attendees will enjoy tapping into their competitive spirits while getting hands-on with giveaways.
The next idea recommends carnival-style activities as unexpected additions that induce playful energy at corporate gatherings. Specific game examples aim to spark readers’ imaginations and interest.
Tumblr media
Feature Interactive Craft Activities
Break up mingling with craft activities for events tying into your company or clientele. For example, tech conferences could feature building gadget prototypes with provided tools and materials. Law firms may provide supplies for attendees to assemble model courtrooms. Get creative with DIY projects suiting your industry niche.
This concept proposes crafting activities that can be customized to suit readers' businesses. These activities can serve as interactive event components and give attendees memorable takeaways. These examples make you think about how this idea could be relevant to different industries.

Mornin' Ghoul!
11, 20, 33, and 60 for your get to know me asks
For 60: What's your favorite type of food and why?
Good morning Fruits! Thank you for the ask my friend :D
11. are you listening to music right now? I am not, I am watching a youtube video on the side about memes and hilarious band names in metal XD
20. what is your favourite song at the moment? I just answered that one in the previous ask, I'll refer you to it :)
33. something you want to learn Singletail whips. I have dabbled a little, mostly on the receiving side, bit but I've not workshopped for them yet. I have a full day whip workshop coming up in next month and I'm excited AS FUCK. I asked my partner for a singletail for christmas, it would be my first added to my gear box, I never assume I'll get anything but if that's not what she gets me I'll invest accordingly before the workshop happens. I'm getting into singletails in 2023. Promise from me to me.
60: (ask me anything you want) What's your favorite type of food and why? SUSHI. SUSHI MY GUY. Japanese is my favorite cuisine in general, but sushi takes the cake. Not the americanized rolls and stuff, those are ok but they don't excite me. I mean, sashimi, just, the raw fucking fish. Good quality raw fish and seafod with nothing else to take away from the taste. If money was no object I'd go to sushi once or twice every week. Since money is a thing, I try to wait until the sushi craving becomes unbearable, then I go. If anyone leaves the choice of where we eat in my hands, it's gonna be sushi 10/10 times. I just love the freshness, the unadulterated taste, I grew up on seafood because of the little village I'm from so it's in my DNA, I love that sashimi eats itself and you don't realize just how much fish you've eaten, I love how it makes my body feel after, I love the variety in textures and tastes and smells, I love when a fish is so fresh and soft it tears appart in your mouth like nothing and dissolves on your tongue like butter *slams fist on desk* SUSHI'S MY SHIT!!!

Weekend
After a whole week of work, I was glad it was weekend. I was tired and over the weekend I could recharge my bateries. But before the weekend started, we went out for sushi with the interns, which was fun and so we got to know them better. Saturday we did the laundry for the first time and it worked out well. We also went to Valletta in the evening. It's a very beautiful city especially in the evening.

Monday
Today we had a special day at work. We had to help out on the MICIE project. This is where all kinds of important Maltese people came to do workshops related to the climate and energy targets of Malta. Our task was to take good photos to be used for their social media. Very educational day.

we had an academic manager workshop today which in all honesty was so wild..everyone that showed up was so different from each other and tbh i'm not sure if i left with any amazing insights but still a good experience–ended the day with 🥂 at the networking event (now repressing this memory) and got some ramen and sushi to sober up
