this is from 400 years ago but:

5) Favorite form of potato: all of them, but top spots go to 1- my uncle's latkes; 2- my gma's au gratin potatoes; 3- any fry that is hot, salty, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

20) Favorite Disney Princess movie - Mulan, no contest (NOT the live action). I was obsessed with "[*hairsweep*] No, I did!" (IYKYK) and "getofftheroofgetofftheroof" ... still am tbh. Also obsessed with the music and the staging and how utterly jarring they let it be for a kid's movie and Mulan as a character and literally everything. @anyone reading this, come scream about Mulan with me, I'm always down

29) Preferred pasta noodle - so my preferred noodle (rice) is not a pasta noodle, and for my preferred pasta noodle I'd have to think about my preferred pasta sauce, because not every pasta works right with every sauce. But I just made a damn good tagliatelle that was a phenomenal vehicle for some fresh pesto, and even though I was worried that the dough wasn't elastic enough, it came out really fine and delicate. So right now tagliatelle, I guess!

And Tony's good at keeping secrets... or so he thinks. But maybe Steve knows him better than he knows himself. And just because Tony believes something, that doesn't make it the truth.

The absolute last thing Steve's expecting is Tony Stark, and so it's fairly in character for the man to be standing on the other side of the door. "Hi." Tony looks impatient, greeting barely out before he's walking past Steve and into the apartment.

The hubris is a fallacy and the smirk Steve had always known to be a front isn’t whimsy, as he’d expected; instead, it’s bred. (In which the stones beckon Steve into a glimpse of Tony's past, and it proves to be his unraveling.)

thank you!! and to @svgurl410 , who also sent me this recently! 💕 i don't think i have a definitive five favorite fics because i've been at it for much too long, but here are the five my soul decided upon today!

i'm ready, i'm willing aka my succession fic that will not end [romangerri + THE WHOLE DANG FAM except greg, suck it greg] -- I am pretty sure this is the most challenging fic I've ever written in terms of balancing a lot of characters/relationship dynamics and also dipping into darker themes than I usually explore, so I'm just including it because it is a fave by mere virtue of me not abandoning it yet. it has felt like such an intense workout for my psyche. (yes, i realize that at its core, this fic is about connor and willa adopting alpacas.) last two chapters, you WILL see the light of day someday soon!!!!

forget your troubles (come on, get happy) [ted lasso, ted/rebecca + beard/sharon] -- i just have such happy memories of writing this one. the romcom gods were smiling down on me. i was in a great, sappy, fluffy mood from beginning to end. my ted lasso happiness perhaps reached its peak in this google doc.

whatever our souls are made of [gilmore girls, rory/paris] -- this is about edward cullen from twilight trying to woo rory and paris not standing for it, which automatically makes it my eternal pride and joy.

this is what you wanted [killing eve, villanelle/eve] -- i wrote this after season two; villanelle goes to alaska to get over murdering ("murdering") her beloved! this one is close to my heart since it's close to my home. i also love thinking of killing eve back when it was just those first two seasons. things were simple then, & full of hope! a weird thing to say considering what happens in the s2 finale, but i stand by it!

what are you afraid of, making it better? [gilmore girls, luke/lorelai] -- this is my 'i'm fixing the end of season six! i'm fixing it!' fic and i hold it close for therapeutic reasons. i honestly have kinda felt better about that whole to-do ever since i wrote this. the power of fanfic, babes!!

Summary: Clint's never told anyone that he's seen the Winter Soldier. That he's known the Winter Soldier since he was a teenager. And now, he's paying for that oversight, in a big way. He just hopes Steve and Nat won't be too angry when they figured it out.

Summary: Forced to hide out in the Sanctum after a security breach at the Avengers Compound, Rhodey is a little perturbed by why the building seems to hate every Avenger but him. Maybe it has something to do with why Tony and Strange already seem to know each other?

Written for the prompt: For some reason, the Avengers ended up in Sanctum to hide. The Sanctum accidentally revealed that Stephen and Tony dating because it's being affectionate with Tony and always assisting him while the Sanctum is always cold with other Avengers.

All Tony really understood was he was sick, and Stephen was going to help him.

He didn’t really need to know anything else.

“I trust you,” Tony replied.

Tony gets sick after a mission. Stephen takes care of him. Rhodey notices a few things.

Summary: He shrugs again. ‘It’s not on my record. Have Protestant on my dog tags in case of capture. It was what we did,’ he says, more offhand than he feels, and he’s not sure if that’s a lie or not. It was certainly what he did. But he doesn’t have it in himself to feel cowardly about it anymore. He was trying to get home to Steve. He knows he would make the same choice over and over again if he had to.

OR Bucky lies about his next of kin for his dog tags, and things kind of spiral from there.

Pretty in Pink (ao3) - snarkymuch steve/bucky M, 1k

Summary: Steve tried not to care that he and Bucky had to hide their relationship, even though he knew they didn’t have another choice.

Because he might be stubborn and hotheaded, but he wasn’t stupid. He’d seen what happened to people caught out in the open.

It hurts to always be the dirty secret, and he wishes that he and Bucky could go out without needing girls hanging off their arms—more specifically, Bucky's, as no one ever wanted his—to keep up appearances.

But then, by a twist of fate, he ends up in a dress shop, seeing a beautiful pink number that he aches to see on himself, except that could never happen... or could it?

An idea is born.

If they can't go out as two men, then what if Steve were dressed as a woman? But for that to work, he'd need to show Bucky the dress and hope he wasn't disgusted by the idea.

14. What's your all time favourite ship? Oh man, I shall say clois (sv clois my extra beloveds. Though my favourite to write is Sam & Daniel in any sense. Mcshep was tons of fun too)

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I haven't even written a word it's a blank titled doc that could be a saving hope fic that basically switches who is lost in the car accident (because I wanted to make the end worse apparently. That doc title is "I've completely lost the plot")

16. What are your writing strengths? Oddly enough dialogue and characterization. I feel like I almost do too much dialogue sometimes (or at least don't add much in between) but it is what it is. And I think I'm pretty great at keeping them in character

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I already addressed it but the scene setting, anything action

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I mean, I havent been able to do it sny of mine, the only one I know is French and I'm not even close to fluent

I’ve been watching Superman & Lois season 2... and it's not hitting me with the same feels that season 1 did… so that is why you see more S&L fics on this particular list. Because I am getting my fix of Clois from fic as of late. Anyway… if you have not watched S&L, it is still a show I would highly recommend! Bitsie and Tyler are amazing as Lois and Clark, and their chemistry is incredible :)

M dashes for sure. Semi colons and commas when a period is probably more appropriate.

Well, I guess across several fandoms it can be summed up by the 'Everybody Lives/No Body Dies' tag…I am just not one of the folks who gets satisfying catharsis out of Angst with a happy ending.

This was actually...a little hard, but I’ll try. In no particular order, but all one-shots:

A Straight Line and Clarity Smallville Clark Kent/Lex Luthor, M, season 6 - One of the least popular works I ever wrote in that fandom, but one of my personal favorites. It’s more of a mood piece than anything - and that mood is angst because season six - but I’m still kind of proud of some of the lines in it.

Once He Had Believed DCU (Comics) Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne, E, Millerverse (Earth-31) - I was obsessed with Millerverse (Frank Miller’s Batman) for a few months. Like obsessed, and not in a good way. Fandom even had an intervention for me. It wasn’t pretty. But during that time, I churned out a few fics. To this day, I think I’m the only person who’s written Millerverse more than once. What a claim to not-fame! Anyway, this was by far my favorite of those. Set two years prior to The Dark Knight Returns.

Once He Pursued DCU (Comics) Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne, Bruce Wayne/Selina Kyle, Clark Kent/Lois Lane, Selina Kyle/Lois Lane, Clark Kent/Selina Kyle/Lois Lane/Bruce Wayne, E, Golden Age (Earth-2) Future Fic (set 1958) - I just really wanted to read a post-Golden Age fic of this OT4. And rule 34 did not provide. So I had to write it myself. Turned out much angstier than I originally intended. But angst is my favorite flavor, so 🤷‍♀️. Plus I really did a ton of research for this one.

Let Us Shut Up the Box and the Puppets DCU (Comics) Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne, M (for graphic depictions of injury and disability) - This one was a bit personal for me. What if Superman was injured and never recovered?

Y’all, y’all, a drabble is 100 words exactly. I have many hills, but this one I will arm wrestle you on. So I decided to write a short story composed entirely of drabbles. I did Jetkka and I also did more than five sentences. Aged up for obvious reasons.

"What did you just call me?" Sokka pauses, replays his last sentence in his head and oh no. Oh no, oh fuck, oh no. "I called you 'Jet'," he tries. His voice goes stupidly high. He's always been bad at lying. "That's your name, isn't it? Why wouldn't I call you by your name?" Jet smirks at him. God, he's such a fucking asshole. "You called me 'babe'." "Like hell I did." "Sokka," Jet says, pressing a hand to his chest as if he's pretending to be scandalised. "Do you... like me?" "Of course I fucking don't." Jet grins and leans in closer until he's right in Sokka's personal space. "I think you like me," he declares. "I think you like me and you wanna date me and kiss me and get fu--" Sokka slides one hand into Jet's stupid hair and yanks him down into a kiss.
