another new oregon parks dept tweet!! Looking like there's going to be a countdown, plus...

there's a code hidden here! substitution cipher, though it doesn't match any that have been used before in the show or books. My guess is that it's a new code we'll get a key to in the actual book of bill itself
#gravity falls#ik you rbed yesterday but this one's a version where it's more visible#also today's post seems to mean that these are runes#I've seen people suggest similarities to iberian script. it seems to be a combo of a bunch of scripts in general#carrot-like symbol is L GA or KA#arrow is T BI or PI#sideways hourglass (shared with previous ciphers) is D GO or KO#X is likely a space. very common space symbol for runes. especially since it's symmetrical several directions instead of just vertically#still working on the triangle - upside down T - three pronged line - and hook shape#I've seen the hook shape in some but haven't found what sound it's supposed to make#and the others are currently missing

My updated John Doe design (he now has a cool cloak pattern how cool is that)
Close up shots
Read below bc i have so much to yap about
While swirls and curves are prominent in my John's design, spike shapes are still also present. spikes & triangles are generally associated with malice and evil in character design
This John has no consistent horns shape. So if ever youre gonna draw my john go crazy with it aha. The only thing you need to take note is his horns protrudes backwards and is never symmetrical
I looked back at my first sketches of john (below) Theres some elements in it that i really liked so i brought them back to my current design.

Still debating whether i want to implement these two in his design
sun trapped inside moon symbol as pins maybe??? I still havent decided
OH OH what if his hair sorta floats gets all stiff, spikey and all that whenever he feels angry or any negative emotion
Ive had this idea for a while now. his cloak color would sorta like. shift from a singular hue of icky yellow to a warmer yellow with sublte hues of green and pink like
Yknow to show his character development through cloak color?? please tell me you understand
I think thats all. Go see my designs for Arthur🌙 and Oscar ⭐️ if you havent yet
#john doe malevolent#malevolent#malevolent podcast#fanart#malevolent fanart#expect that i will make holy trinity (john x arthur x oscar) fanart soon trehee#mxpaisleysart

How to write about someone’s appearance? Their physique, styles, face , clothes,?
How to Describe a Character's Appearance
-> dabblewriter.com
-> link to Character Description Prompts
Avoid Over-Describing
Overloading readers with too much information can be overwhelming and make your characters feel flat and one-dimensional. Focus on the details that are the most important to the story and the characters themselves.
If the character's appearance is not central to the story, then you may only need to give a basic description. If it plays a significant role, you may want to go into more detail. Always keep the purpose of your physical descriptions in mind.
Show Don't Tell
Don't blatantly state every little thing about your character's appearance, but rather show it through their actions and behaviors.
example: If they are tall, show that through their actions. They have to duck to get under a doorway, they help someone reach the top shelf, etc.
Include Personality Traits
A character's personality is what makes them memorable. Consider their motivations, values, beliefs, and quirks and give them a well-defined personality.
Avoid Stereotypes
Create characters that are more than just their cultural, racial, ethnic, or gender identity. Give them unique interests, hobbies, and personalities. Allow them to have flaws, contradictions, and diverse perspectives.
External Features
External features include a character's height, weight, body type, and general appearance. You can describe their skin color, hair color, eye color, and any distinctive features like freckles or scars. This type of description gives the reader a basic understanding of what the character looks like, which is helpful in creating a mental image.
Clothing
Describing the type of clothing they wear, including the colors, patterns, and how they fit, can reveal a lot about a character’s personality and social status.
For example, a character who wears tailored suits and expensive shoes might be a little snobby and concerned with their image, while a character who wears ripped jeans and t-shirts might be casual and relaxed.
Facial Features
Facial features can be used to give the reader a more in-depth understanding of a character's personality and emotions. You can describe their smile, the way they frown, their cheekbones, and their jawline. You can also describe their eyebrows, the shape of their nose, and the size and shape of their eyes, which can give the reader insight into their emotions.
Body Language
Body language can be used to give the reader an understanding of a character's emotions and personality without the need for dialogue. Describing the way a character stands, walks, or gestures can reveal a lot about their confidence level, mood, and attitude.
For example, a character who slouches and avoids eye contact is likely to be shy, while a character who stands up straight and makes direct eye contact is likely to be confident.

Shadow and light battle across the flat plane of your chest as you try to transfer the study of your figure onto the canvas in front of you. Each shift of your hand derails you slightly, and you wince, sigh, and adjust your position again, coaxing the shade under your breasts into place.
You’ve been working for hours, your eyes tired from shifting between mirror and canvas, trying to capture the delicate contours of your body—each curve, each dent in your skin. It’s a challenge to get the light just right—where it falls, how it rests—so that the shapes aren’t lost in the blending shadows.
Looking at yourself on the canvas is entirely different from studying the person staring back from the mirror. You decide to give her an objective moment—your shoulders sag, legs fall limply off the tall stool as you just scrutinize. Stomach bent so that the eye of your belly disappears into a lopsided smile-like crease, your hips spill beyond the stool’s edge in a pretty curve. Hands rest against your thighs before you bring them to your chest to cup your breasts.
You feel out their shape by touch. Not entirely flat, no—a subtle, symmetrical rise on both sides of your sternum, falling gently into skin stretched over your ribcage. Your fingers travel up to the pool between your collarbones and trace the lines from there to your nipples. A curious observation crosses your mind, how your body consists of triangles.
You turn back to face the canvas, adjusting the stroke, trying once more to get the effect just right. Silence envelops you and it’s peaceful, almost meditative, until you feel a presence behind you. It waits patiently until you set your brush aside and once you do, warm hands snake around your waist and a tickle of hair brushes against your cheek.
Viktor.
“Can I be the first bidder when you finish?” he asks and his breath fans your skin. His chin comes to rest in the crook of your shoulder and when you say nothing, he adds, “You look beautiful.” Reverently, like it’s the universal truth in this world.
“You can have it, if I finish it,” you say thoughtfully. “As long as you keep it in the basement,” you add with a smirk, and ghost your hand over his on your belly.
He squeezes you tighter and hums, “No deal. I want it above our bed. And a small version to carry in my wallet. In fact, could I just take these,” he teases, as his hands creep up to cup your breasts. “Once you are done?”
“And whatever will you do with them, hmm?”
“Oh, lásko,” he breathes against your shoulder. “I thought you’d never ask. Let me show you.”
You inhale sharply, hesitating as your eyes flick down to his hands, noticing you've already transferred some of the paint onto his skin. “Viktor,” you say softly, and he hums out a question before stilling, sensing the unease in your voice.
“What troubles you, my love?” he murmurs into your ear. “Does this have a deadline?” He lingers on the first thought—he might have just interrupted something.
“No, I’m just—” Your breath hitches when his lips trail up your neck, sucking just beneath your ear. “Not feeling it.”
“The painting?” Viktor asks—or rather mumbles—into your skin.
“The painting, and the body. It’s just… a shape,” you breathe out, leaning instinctively into him, then releasing a surprised oh when Viktor pulls away, his face reflecting a nearly outraged expression in the mirror.
“Just a shape?” he huffs, and you almost laugh at the way his brows scrunch in disbelief. “It’s not just a shape.” The last word is spat out as if it’s offensive. “It’s a beautiful thing, look,” he says, tilting your chin to face the reflection, then takes your arm and drapes it over his neck.
He drags a hand from your hip, across your waist, all the way up to your elbow. “Goosebumps. A new texture,” he says proudly. Then, looking back at you in the mirror, he adds, “And a new shape,” brushing his thumb over your hardened nipple.
You try to chuckle away the blush creeping up your neck, but Viktor nuzzles into your face, his voice soft as he whispers, “My favourite one.”
Eyebrows raised, you tease, “Since when are you so knowledgeable about painting—” but before you can finish the question, your nipple gets pinched between his calloused fingers, and you can feel his mouth curving into a smirk.
"Since I exist with a work of art daily," he replies, his voice low, the words almost smug as he watches you react.
"Viktor," you say, the tone laced with a hint of disbelief. But he’s not done. He smiles and shakes his head. “Don’t Viktor me now,” he murmurs, as he drapes your other hand over his neck. His fingers caress your chest gently, almost reverently, as if he’s tracing the curves and contours of something precious.
His gaze lingers on you, not just looking but seeing, as if he’s trying to imprint every inch of your body into his memory. “You are beautiful,” he murmurs, his touch lingering as he skims his palm along the soft skin of your chest, feeling the subtle rise and fall of your breath. “Not just a shape. A living, breathing body.”
His palm stills at your sternum, and his expression softens. “And here’s the best part,” he says, making your breath hitch. His favourite part is now thumping so feverishly you can almost see the tremor of skin beneath his fingers. “And I’m glad I can touch it so freely.”
You unwind one arm from his neck, threading your fingers into his hair as you pull him in for a kiss. And oh, Viktor is so pleased he hums into your mouth, taking it as encouragement when his palms cradle your chest lovingly. He spreads his fingers wide, tracing the lines of your ribs before clasping around your breasts, trapping your nipples between his knuckles.
“I can feel your heartbeat,” he rasps, voice etched with gravel now, the words spilling into your mouth, rolling off his hot tongue. His palms rub up and down your front, the heels pressing into the soft flesh while his fingers catch beneath your collarbones.
He groans softly against your lips, hands teasing along the sensitive spots, as he rolls your nipples between his knuckles. Everything measured—each reaction observed and memorised, so he touches over and over until your skin blurs with red and pink. His breath is warm when he pulls away just enough to murmur, “Come here.”
Without breaking contact for long, he shifts, guiding you to turn on your chair as his knee presses between your thighs. His hands are firm but gentle when he grasps your hips, stepping between your legs and slotting himself close.
"Look at yourself," he whispers, tilting your chin toward the mirror. His golden eyes meet yours in the reflection, dark with desire. "How could you ever call this just a shape?"
And it’s hard to look away from Viktor, but you finally slide your gaze off his hands on your ribs to look at the swell of your thighs spilling off the chair seat, up the curve of your belly to your breasts—faintly swollen and reddened by his work. You smile when his head dips to kiss your neck. Not just a shape, you finally think.
Then his mouth travels down. His lips part against your collarbone, warm and soft, his breath fanning over your skin before he presses a lazy, open-mouthed kiss there. His tongue flicks out, tasting you, and then he sucks—just enough to make the heat pool low in your stomach. He hums as he pulls back, admiring the mark blooming beneath his lips.
Lower again. Down the slope of your breast, then up, as if tracing invisible brushstrokes against a canvas. He licks each new lovebite with a brush of his tongue before sealing it with another kiss, possessive and ardent all at once. "Mine," he breathes, the word sinking into your skin with each mark he leaves behind.
Your fingers curl into his hair, gripping, pulling, wordlessly asking for more. He chuckles, the sound vibrating against your sternum, before his teeth scrape lightly over the peak of your breast. "So gorgeous," he muses, voice thick with awe.
And then he takes your nipple into his mouth. The first pull of his lips sends a spark all the way down to your toes. His tongue flicks over your nipple before he sucks again, letting the warmth of his mouth sink into your skin. His hands grip your waist, knuckles whitening.
Your breath stutters when his teeth graze you, a sharp contrast to the softness of his tongue. Viktor hums, so pleased when you arch to meet him, he adjusts his grip. “My beloved,” he murmurs, lips brushing over the wetness he left behind. “Now I can feel the heart below.”
And indeed it’s there. Under his mouth, barely pressing to the centre of your chest. It twitches and beats, rising the plane of your skin in a frantic rhythm. The vibration travels through his lips, down, down his throat to his lower belly where he’s straining in his pants. He breathes into it, hot air dancing on the slick layer he’s left, more goosebumps blooming across your body.
He trails lower, dragging his tongue over the underside of your breast before leaving another mark, his mouth working as if to lay claim to every inch of skin. He takes his time, keeping every response somewhere precious—the sharp inhale when he sucks, the way your thighs twitch when he presses his teeth down just enough to sting.
His hands smooth over your stomach next, fingers splaying as he maps the softness there, brushing over your ribs before settling at your hips. His fingers press into your flesh, thumbs rubbing slow, lazy circles into the dip there. He leans back slightly, admiring the marks he's planted across your chest, then catches your gaze in the mirror. His eyes darken at the sight of you—lips parted, skin flushed, body pliant under his hands.
“Do you see now?” he asks again, but this time, his voice is lower, rougher. “How I see you?”
You turn in your seat to face yourself fully—glistening with his drool, a mosaic of red imprints from Viktor’s lips decorating your neck, chest, nipples, the tender skin beneath your breasts. Teeth marks remain visible on the swollen flesh, a gentle rise where he sucked harder. Your gaze shifts to his reflection—messy hair plastered to his forehead, lips plush and bruised, his eyes heavy with something dark and satisfied.
“I think I want to paint us like this,” you breathe, tracing your fingers over the places he’s marked.
“Oh?” His brow arches slightly, his voice taking on a playful lilt. “Should I do anything?” He tilts his head, studying your reflection as his hands find your waist again, thumbs pressing idly into your skin.
“Yes,” you say, voice steady despite the warmth lingering between you. You turn toward him and run your fingers over his collar, toying with the fabric before slipping lower. A smirk tugs at your lips as you meet his gaze. “Get naked. We have to match.”

Speculative Biology of Euclydians (and Bill Cipher) part 2
Part 1
Part 3
So this part is what you've all been waiting for, it took so long, but you'll quickly understand why. This part is:
The Biology of Bill Cipher
As always, this analysis is based on two assumptions:
Before Bill Cipher became a demigod, he was a biological, living organism and so were the rest of his species.
Even after Bill Cipher became a demigod, he still retained some physical characteristics of his biological form.
And a fair content warning: This contains anatomy illustrations. This isn't anything gory, but there are people who are squeamish, so you've been warned.
Click on the images to get better quality!
And without further ado, let's begin.
External structures
Euclydians are animals with a very specific shape. They have a shell in a form of a geometric shape and four limbs. Bill is an equilateral triangle, so my analysis will be just on triangular Euclydeans.
They have bilateral symmetry. This type of symmetry is characterized by having a left and a right side placed like mirror images of each other. Humans and majority of Earth’s animals also have this feature.
Bilaterally symmetrical organisms usually have a distinct head region, because of a process known as cephalization. This process moves the animal’s brain and sensory organs towards one end of the body – the head. Euclydians have a head. It’s the “tip of the pyramid” on Bill and that’s where the eye and other sensory organs and brain are located.
Finally, Euclydeans are segmented. Their segments are clearly visible as those weird brick lines on their body. Bill also often separates his body into three segments. This is a part of his god powers, but it tells us that Euclydeans have three major body segments, I’ll call them the tip, the middle and the base. Each segment contains specific organs.
Euclydeans are invertebrates. And yes, I know this image exists, but this is just Bill’s trolling. He’s making fun of human classrooms where we often find skeleton models. That skeleton wouldn’t even be functional, because it doesn’t have any joints in arms and legs, so it wouldn’t be able to move. And it has a hole where the brain would be, so you know, the fucking brain would fall out.
It was outright stated that Bill has an exoskeleton. Having both external and internal skeleton would be a big waste because you have two systems that do the same thing. Besides, the way Bill's limbs move is much more similar to an invertebrate. His shell is also somewhat bendable which would not be possible if it was made of bone. And the eye-mouth complex that Bill uses to eat would also be completely impossible with a set of vertebrate jaws.
Euclydean shell (or exoskeleton) is nothing like anything here on Earth. It’s most likely made out of silica combined with proteins. I say this because Bill turned to stone when he died and he also likes to eat glass, which is pure silica.
The exoskeleton is made out of several parts. It has a front (ventral) and back (dorsal) part. Both the front and the back part of the exoskeleton are made out of head region (the tip) and three layers of “bricks” which are just segments of the exoskeleton.
The front tip is probably made of more protein and elastic tissue than the back, because Bill has a very expressive “face”. This means that he also has quite complex facial muscles. The back of the head is probably the hardest part of the exoskeleton because it protects the brain. Bricks are in the middle since they have a very important role in speaking and breathing, but also allow the shell to bend.
Can Euclydeans change color, or is it just Bill Cipher using his god powers? Well, since he changes his color on instinct, I think they could! Bill can change color to black, yellow, red and blue. This means that he has a complex system of chromatophores – cells that contain little sacs full of pigment. When the sacs inflate, the body appears to be the color of the largest sac, whilst those deflated are invisible. Color changes depending on the pigments contained in inflated sacs. In Bill, the pigments are red, blue and yellow. Yellow is the standard color, it signifies neutral or content emotional state. He turns red when he's angry or wants to look intimidating and blue might signify fear, despair and cry for help. Black is the color of Euclydean’s skin, so when they look black, it’s because all pigment sacs have deflated and the transparent shell allows us to see the skin underneath.
And yes, Euclydeans have black skin. I know some people say that Bill wears thigh high boots and long gloves, but to me, that doesn’t make any sense. Like, that image of him in Theraprism is showing him with clothes over his supposed gloves and boots. Why would they make him wear sneakers over boots? And why baby Bill has yellow hands? Well, that’s something I’ll tell you in the next part where I’ll talk about babies.
Anyways, the skin is black, but we have no idea what it feels like. Seriously, so many people shook hands with Bill and nobody wrote down how his skin feels like! But we know that he has fingerprints. That means that he has very sensitive fingertips and that those little paws were made for grabbing things. Also, Bill doesn’t have any growths on his skin: no nails, hairs, scales etc. I know a lot of people love to draw Bill with claws, but he doesn’t have claws, not even in his most eldritch form. His fingers always remain small and soft. The legs have no fingers and the skin of the sole of their feet is probably thick.
Internal Structures
Coelom
Coelom is one of the most important organs, that you probably don’t know you even have! It’s a fluid filled cavity whose role is to separate internal organs from the muscles of the body wall. This allows organs to move and grow independently of your muscles and it also protects and cushions them against impact. In humans coelom is complex and it’s made out of pericardial cavity (around the heart – allows heart to pump blood), pleural cavity (around lungs – allows lungs to expand while breathing) and peritoneal cavity (around digestive system – allows for expansion and movement of digestive organs).
I believe that Euclydeans also have some form of a coelom. Coelom is even more important in invertebrates, as that’s where their immune system is and it can also serve as a supportive hydroskeleton. Since Euclydeans have a hard shell, they need the protection around their organs. Every shelled animal on Earth has coelom for that reason. They also need room for the food they eat, since the shell can’t expand and their limbs can enter the shell, so they need room for that too.
2. Nervous system
Euclydeans have a vast range of emotions, capability to communicate using speech, body language and even color shifting. They are as intelligent, or more intelligent than humans. They have a highly developed eye and other senses and all of this requires a nervous system. We saw Bill’s optic nerve when his eye got pulled out during Weirdmageddon, so he does have a nervous system, but I can't tell you how exactly it looks like.
There’s one part of Bill that I bet is similar to human - it’s his brain. Bill claims that he can take control over any being a long as they have neurons. This is his god like power, but then, why just beings with neurons? Well, most likely, because he has neurons too and kind of understands how they work. Maybe his brain even produces similar neurotransmitters as ours, so we’re easy to control with them. The brain is in the tip of the pyramid, slightly above eye and it likely has a lot of neurons and a very complex structure. I can’t tell you how exactly is his brain organized, but since he's bilaterally symmetrical, it’s very likely that it has hemispheres. He likely also has two neural cords, like most invertebrates, and those run down the dorsal (back) side of his body
3. Senses
Euclydeans have camera lens type eyes. Now here I can only speak of Bill, since we haven’t seen any other Euclydian. Bill’s eye is large, placed in the center of his “face”. It has eyelids with “eyelashes” (more on them later) and produces tears (Bill cries after his break up with Ford). The pupil is slit and vertical and there is no iris. However, there are muscles that can change the shape and dilation of the pupil. The eye looks similar enough to human that I can confidently say that he has cornea, lens and sclera. The eye is filled with refractory fluid and has some form of retina in the back. Bill’s eye changing color and being used as a projector or to shoot lasers are all parts of his god powers, however, it is possible that his species has a tapetum lucidum, a reflective layer of cells which help animals see in low light conditions and also makes the eye glow in the dark. Bill has color vision and he claims that he can see every part of the electromagnetic spectrum, but I think that's a part of his god powers. However, Euclydeans definitely could see in color, since their alphabet was basically a color code and they also use colors to express emotion.
Since Bill has fingerprints, we can confidently say that his fingers are the most sensitive part of his skin. Bill can feel through his shell too, just like every shelled organism ever (that's why he used Ford as a backscratcher). Tactile senses are very primitive, so Eucliydeans could feel cold, heat, pain, pressure, vibration and everything else just like we do.
Bill has a sense of smell and he even says which scents he finds attractive. This could mean that sense of smell plays a big role in reproduction of Euclydeans, but where is it located? Well, on the eyelashes. Except, those are not eyelashes, they are antennae. Bill has total eight of these antennae, 4 on lower and 4 on upper eyelid. They are very soft and sensitive, so he can retract them inside the eyelid. He does that when he feels threatened, so it’s probably a fight or flight response. His lashes get longer and he flutters his eyelid more near Ford, probably because he enjoys his smell. They are also located close to the mouth, so that’s how he samples the scents of the food.
Euclydeans have great hearing. They communicate vocally, sing, Bill can play the piano, so obviously, they hear. But I have no idea what they use to hear. It could be the bow tie, since it does look vaguely ear shaped, but it's possible that the bow tie isn't actually an organ. In that case, they could have an unknown structure inside them or they could just use their thin exoskeleton to catch sound vibrations.
They taste using their long tongue.
4. Muscles and movement
We have seen Bill’s muscles and they are striated skeletal muscles like mammals and insects have.
As the shell is kind of bendy, there is a lot of muscles underneath it. Those are the muscles of the body, they also move the face and bricks while speaking. The limbs have muscles too and two kinds at that.
When Ford shoots through Bill’s hat (which also a part of him) it is shown that inside of it are strange bone-like structures. These are not bones, since they aren’t articulated, but muscles do connect to them. They kind of remind me of echinoderm ossicles, but they don’t really look like them. This is another fully alien structure and I’ll call them anchors.
You know how Bill’s limbs can both bend just like human arms and legs, like he has elbows, wrists, knees and ankles, but they also bend like goofy rubber-hose cartoon anatomy? Well, that’s because there are two types of muscles in them. There are muscles attached to the anchor points and subcutaneous muscles.
Anchor points are located in the same places as joints in humans. Muscles that attach to them are long and strong and they are used for regulated, precise movement. The subcutaneous muscles (the one we see in his Weirdmageddon image) are used to bend the limbs in every other manner. They are not attached to anchors, but to the skin, so they resemble muscles of octopus arms. They are shorter and less strong, but when they act together they move the limbs in coils. These muscles are also responsible for squishing the limbs inside the shell when they are hidden.
Bill has incredible control and dexterity of his muscles, especially in arms and fingers. Even though his paws are soft and small, he can use them pretty much as efficiently as humans use their hands.
Possibly the strongest muscles in Bill's body are his jaw muscles, so let's talk about those jaws.
5. Eye-mouth complex and the digestive system
Having your eye used for feeding seems wild to us, but this adaptation is seemingly common in fictional geometric shaped people, as it has convergently evolved in Flatland’s inhabitants as well. And, speak what you like, but Euclydeans can’t choke on their food, so they have it better than humans.
I don’t know what Flatlanders eat, but Euclydeans are definitely predators. Now, I know that Bill sometimes depicts himself with human like teeth. The guy has a thing for teeth, especially molars, but he doesn’t have mammalian teeth. In every image where he opens his mouth that was not made by him, we see that he has cone shaped sharp teeth, like a predator. These teeth are great for biting and subduing prey, but they suck at chewing. Euclydeans can’t chew, so they they feed by swallowing chunks that they bite off, or swallowing their food whole if it’s small enough.
Here I depicted how this “eye-mouth complex” functions:
Euclydeans have a stomach in the middle of their body, but I have no idea what goes after it. My best guess is that they have a branching intestine. Our flattest organisms (flatworms, sea stars and brittle stars) all have this type of intestine. It basically means that, instead of just going like a tube, the intestine branches into different parts of the body. I also have no idea whether they have an anus and if it’s just one. This is just something I can’t tell you.
Since Euclydeans are capable of eating a lot of various things, I expect that they have accessory digestive glands (that’s liver and pancreas in humans). Strangely, despite the fact that his anatomy indicates a predator, Bill likes eating starch (pasta, empanadas, sandwiches etc). Most carnivores are unable to digest starch, so I went with god powers, but he ate sandwiches when he was a kid and had no god powers. So, we have two options. Either Euclydeans are omnivores (which, with those teeth, I doubt) or the animals on their planet store their excess calories as starch, not fat, so predators evolved the ability to digest it. If the second one is true, then Bill eating pasta is like your cat eating pure butter. It’s probably not healthy for him, but I don’t think he’s a guy who would give a single crap about that.
6. Breathing and speaking
In The Book of Bill, Bill says that “dumb trapezoids and rhombuses were sucking up his rightful oxygen”. This means that Euclydeans are aerobic organisms – they breathe oxygen. Their skin is dry, so they don't use it for breathing and they also speak, laugh and sing. All of this tells me that they have lungs.
I believe that their lungs are located near the base where the bricks are. The gaps between bricks have little tracheae that lead to the lungs. Bill most likely breathes in from his back side and breathes out from the front. The air is probably forced to travel through small crevices inside the lungs so that it can exchange the oxygen with blood. We don’t know whether Euclydeans exhale carbon dioxide, but they probably do, since they can eat our food, so they probably have similar metabolism to us Earthlings.
Since Euclydeans can speak and laugh, they probably have some kind of a diaphragm. In fact, I think they have two! Their voice has an echo, which means that, most likely, their lungs don’t always expel air at the same time. Air expelling causes the bricks to vibrate which produces sound. That’s why Bill seems to glow when he speaks – he’s actually vibrating. This action is also controlled by muscles. Depending on which row of bricks is vibrating and how many of them are involved, Bill changes the pitch and tone of his voice.
And the growling noise? Well, when Bill uses his demonic voice, he is doing one of two things. He is either using his god like powers to modify his voice, or that’s just how Euclydian vocal fry sounds. If you don’t know what vocal fry is, it’s produced when the vocal chords are vibrating slowly and they become out of sync. This produces a very specific sound and that sound can be made voluntarily. That’s how Mongolian throat singing works. Similarly, Euclydeans could slow down the rate at which their bricks vibrate and make them out of sync to produce that menacing “demon voice” as a threat display.
7. Circulatory system
We know how Euclydean blood looks like. It’s silvery and kind of seems like it glitches. It also contain chemicals that can make humans sick. This means that Euclydeans have much different blood from animals on Earth, but it certainly serves the same function. It’s used to transport nutrients and oxygen through their body.
Since the agents from The Book of Bill were able to draw his blood, it’s clear that Bill has a circulatory system and a closed one at that. The closed circulatory system means that blood vessels end in capillary nets and don’t open inside the body cavity like they do in molluscs and insects. If the agents used syringe to pull Bill’s blood and he had an open circulatory system, they could actually collapse the entire thing as they would pull his organs as well. That’s why I believe that he has a closed circulatory system.
Closed circulatory system requires a heart and I believe that Bill’s heart is located between his lungs, like ours. I have no proof that his heart looked anything like in the illustration, but I looove cardiology, so I did all this just because I wanted to draw a weird heart. I don’t think Euclydeans have a super complex four chambered heart like we do, they most likely have two or three chambered heart. The heart separates lung and body circulation and regulates their blood pressure.
The capillary nets are all located in important places: lungs where they exchange oxygen, intestines where they absorb nutrients and brain where they feed the neurons. Euclydeans have a rather large brain, so it probably uses most of their calories and oxygen.
8. Other systems
I can’t tell you anything abut Euclydean excretory system. I don’t know whether they produce urine or not, if they have kidneys, nephrocytes or something completely different. I genuinely have no idea.
They have to have an immune system because they are multicellular. Every single multicellular organism including sponges and plants has some form of an immune system. I believe Euclydeans have something similar to coelomocytes - a very common type of immune cells in invertebrates which reside in coelomatic cavity.
I'll talk about reproductive system in Part 3!
Are Euclydeans warm or cold-blooded?
This was a very tough one, because they could be both, but I am leaning more towards cold-blooded. They have very little muscle mass and heat is produced within the muscles via trembling or metabolic heat (heat released in various chemical reactions in the body). When an animal has very little muscle it isn’t used for that. Even mammals like sloths who have significantly reduced muscle mass become dependent on the surrounding temperature. Also, Euclydean flat shape can easily distribute heat they absorb, so they wouldn’t need to waste energy making their own. On top of that, Euclydeans don’t wear clothes, which can be a cultural thing, sure, but they could also not wear clothes because they need their skin exposed so that it could absorb heat.
Here's how Bill Cipher's complete inner anatomy looks like:
There, I hope you enjoyed this! I'll see you hopefully next week to tell you about Euclydean reproduction and development.
Thank you @ok1237 @unoriginal-starwalker and @chrystalitar for your support :D
(Also, I hid Ford Pines in one of the anatomy illustrations. Can you find him? Click on the images for better quality!)

The Art of Dragon Age: The Veilguard Deluxe edition (DA:TV artbook bonus stuff). [source, via]
"The deluxe edition features: - An elegant foil-stamped slipcase and cover - Gilded pages - A ribbon book marker - Two lithographic art prints housed in a sleek portfolio" [source]
It looks like the two lithographic prints are this mural (which is from the 2020 TGA teaser iirc) and this art of Solas with a wolf by Matt Rhodes (which is from the Gamescom 2020 video iirc). The packaging's color theme-ing is black and gold, reminding of this version (that pic is from 2021) of the game's branding/color theme-ing, and also of course bringing to mind the Golden/Black City. the Golden/Black City was featured on the vinyl cover arts.
The knife here on this cover looks like the 'blue lyrium' [?] dagger, but also simultaneously not like it.

This artbook cover one is more gnarled in appearance and the 'ring' of the handle isn't complete (the way the 'broken' handle could almost be an Evanuris headpiece-shape... if it was a bit more symmetrical, it would look like Elgar'nan's headpiece).
It has extra spiky bits protruding off it too and it looks like something is growing on it. Maybe this is what happens if/when the blue [lyrium?] dagger becomes red (Blighted)? because this gnarled kinda vibe reminds me a bit of Meredith's sword Certainty in DA2, and of that body horror way in which red lyrium growth looks on people. It also reminds me of the tendrils of Blight corruption on walls and the ground and stuff in DA:TV screenshots, and the gnarled red lyrium darkspawn we've seen (look at this darkspawn's back for example).

Or maybe there's simply more than one dagger? There's two rising Evil Gods.
in the background of that image is the now-familiar geometric patterning with the concentric rings around the outside that tend to represent the Veil, and also the multiple almooost-overlapping circles/spheres inside that is suggestive of an eclipse* (something which we can see in the DA:TV screenshot with the dragon, which keeps coming up, which speaks to a lot of the pertinent imagery/symbolism e.g. Elgar'nan overthrowing his father the Sun and darkening the sky, and something which to me makes sense in a Witcher-style Conjunction of the Spheres kinda vibe, multiple realms colliding, like, if you tear down the Veil, you're bringing two 'bodies' or realms together to 'overlap' once again - the Fade and the waking world). [*in the 'eclipse' link there it's just searching the word on my blog btw, since I've banged on and on about that lots before and I don't wanna repeat myself loads in this post hhh]. the placement of the dagger over that design and what it represents makes sense; as we saw in the gameplay reveal video, the dagger was part of Solas' ritual to tear down the Veil/move the Evanuris prison.
On this cover, we can see two eyeballs in two of the corners (the eyes remind me of the Inquisition hairy eyeball, the eye motifs cropping up around Lucanis, Pride, and the Fade peacock feather/eye motif [image from this post]). in the other two corners is a sword that reminds again of Certainty. Meredith brandishing the sword is part of this DA:TV mural in the bottom left, underneath Ghil. surely not a coincidence. :D maybe a Certainty-like sword is the final corrupted form of the dagger, or one of them? in TN, the red lyrium idol changed shape enough that a ritual-blade sprang from its base.
the background of this middle cover also contains triangles, reminding of ancient elven artifacts and ancient elven magic-tech (like with Bellara, the Veil Jumpers etc) and the recurring triangle symbols in DA art around Fade/Veil/magic-y stuff (example from the Tevinter Nights map below).
The cover on the right has more geometric patterns, circles, rings etc. (all these patterns remind of the art in the vinyl booklet btw). and, in the center, the eye again. 👁️

Bloom's turn!
I'm gonna admit, I don’t think Bloom's reboot design is bad. I was ranting about Aisha's a lot, but despite me generally disliking Bloom's recent pink trend, this new design is… fine?
Anyway, redesigning it out of principle:

My main criticisms about the canon design are that the hair looks wack and the wings are too messy, but I do really like the added pinks for once! I still wish there was less of it, but combined with the more cosmic looking background (which I love!) it looks really celestial and warm. Idk I don’t have a lot of complains about the palette this time.
I wish her little half-sleeve was a bit less transparent, it’s barely visible like this and I really like that one shot where it appears on her arm. Deserves to shine a little more in my opinion. The shoulder pad… I like the idea behind it? I think it looks really awkward in execution though. I made it symmetrical and more collar-like because that made it more royal-looking in my opinion. Almost prince-ly, like some kind of ceremonial military uniform. Not because it reminded me of Utena haha noooo
Anyway, more thoughts under the cut:
I've kind of done the same thing I did with Aisha's wings in that redesign, but instead of making it look like water caustics I went for some more plain flame-looking patterns. It's very abstract, but as long as it vaguely resembles fire I’m happy. For the top, I tried to stick relatively close to canon — mainly because canon sticks very close to OG Bloom! Praise where praise is due, I appreciate the thought. Because the top part of the top is very narrow tho, that means the weird little shoulder pad ends up looking like an awkward little flap instead of armor. I’m deducting points for that. Granted, I also didn’t make it look like armor in my version, but I feel like that royal little suit-look would work AMAZING for that one shot where Bloom carries Icy bridal-style. You agree.
For the overall look, I went for much more symmetry than Aisha's redesign. I think Aisha being very headstrong and independent means she can afford to break patterns more, like she has her own way of doing things, even for clothing. But Bloom is still very new to being a fairy. I think she would be more than happy with just fulfilling her role as a fairy, so she can look a bit more… girl-next-door, I guess. That sporty little ponytail and singular sleeve should keep it from looking too well-behaved, I hope. I actually really like the ponytail in canon too, it’s just the sudden bangs that throw me off. Plus, I feel like the braids look odd. Don’t know why tho.

One detail I want to highlight: I made two version of her little headpiece. I feel like the first version is what Bloom should wear when she first starts out, and doesn’t yet know who she is. They’re just round little hair clips, mimicking the shape on her collar and creating a bit of a triangle, with Bloom's face at the center. But! They can also look like stunted little horn-stumps, in a way. So when Bloom regains her power in the finale, they can evolve into full little dragon horns, like she's molting out of her awkward hatchling stage.
I'm really happy with this! I feel like the vibe is a good blend between formal goody-two-shoes, and confident — maybe a little too cocky — little superhero. A bit girly, a tiny bit tomboyish, and a whole lot of kick-ass. Now if only I hadn’t set the resolution to like. 4 pixels in any direction. Wouldn’t that be fun.

[Please zoom in, there's a lot of detail! And a massive file size...ouch]
Hi guys, long time no post! Been working on Art Fight and life stuff, but I've got something kinda fun for you.
This is a compilation exploring how a mortal Bill may interact with our world if there were still some kinda Euclidean instincts buried in there. Y'know, before the Book of Bill ruins all my headcanons >:P (EDIT: IT HAS BEEN READ. YAHOOOOOO)
Also quite an experimental piece as you can probably tell. Lots of details on both said headcanons and the art stuff under the cut, but I invite you to study the colorful texture yourself beforehand and think about what it might be representative of, just for fun because I got some really cool answers from my friends when asked :]c
TL;DR: the headcanon is that Euclideans have exceptional eyes for geometry. They find things like symmetry, tessellating patterns, graphs and fractals very aesthetically pleasing. If pushed into our 3D world, they feel comforted by the familiarity flat objects/spaces bring, as well as high-contrast patterns. Shadows especially are a familiar dimensional reduction that may bring them much comfort.
Bill would surely not be happy about these inclinations, constant reminders of a past long gone, but I'm not sure he's even aware of them here :P I think his ego gets in the way to the point where he just views these interests as common sense, which, of course, us lame humans just don't understand because we aren't nearly as cool as him. Of course he likes perfectly symmetrical leaves and staring at the kitchen floor, it's called taste, look it up!
And yet, he can't seem to shake the strange sense of melancholy he gets from viewing his own shadow.
~ End of TL;DR, long version below! ~
🔺 Headcanon Development
So, the catalyst of this idea was in relation to my friend and I's AU ( @love-triangles-au ). TL;DR, Bill's brought back mortal, meets another triangle named Y.V. (it's his hand holding the paper in the piece, actually), at some point they fall in yaois together, you know how it is. And, in writing a pair of triangles (or, more broadly, writing from the perspective of a different species), something I've had to consider was that you really can't get much further removed from a human being than sentient geometry.
The anatomical aspect was mostly figured out (see my piece on Bill's eye-mouth), but I wanted to consider what psychological differences might be at play. I wanted them to be weirder, more alien, double-so for Bill. At first I explored these possibilities through the lens of Bill and Y.V.'s relationship, specifically the question "what might a triangle find appealing about another triangle?"
Well, really the only things that came to mind were straight lines and symmetry, anything related to the geometric form of such a creature. That's more-or-less where that ended until the thought struck me that there's no reason this aesthetic appreciation couldn't extend to the rest of the environment, and then further when I realized, "wait, this is a species that is designed to live in a 2D environment. Like, they should seriously be really weird. I need to push this like 200% more."
So...yeah! I did some thinking and brainstorming with others and came up with a pretty long list of things a Euclidean in our world may be inclined to enjoy or find some level of comfort in. It's worth noting again that in this piece specifically this is a mortal/powerless Bill, so he can't really escape this Earthly environment. IF he's aware of these instincts at all (and that's a big "if"; when have you last been cognizant of your own instincts let alone known where they were stemming from?) I think he'd have snuffed them out in immortality and/or purposefully gone against them; he doesn't take kindly to being told what to do.
In order from left-to-right, top-to-bottom, here's an explanation for each!:
Flat objects such as paper are something he may find particularly engaging. It's basically 2D!
Tessellations are especially fascinating, and our world has them everywhere in the form of tile floors. Symmetry and such a predictable pattern...as the infinity of the starry sky might for us, the infinite potential of tessellations might invoke a similar sense of awe in him. Add on the maximum contrast of black on white kitchen tiles and the forms are only even better defined! A sensitivity to contrast would be very helpful for a 2D being navigating their environment.
Fields are flat and open, much like Euclydia itself. Laying flat may make him feel a little more at home.
More tessellation in the honeycomb of hymenopterans (bees, wasps and friends)! It helps that pain is hilarious.
The city is an absolute treasure trove. Rectangular buildings, precise architecture, square sidewalks and straight lines abound...he may as well be looking at a rainbow or an art gallery! I think a Euclidean's brain is very fine-tuned to mathematics, especially in regards to trigonometry. What may appear to be a straight painting might appear obnoxiously crooked to him.
Zebras are high-contrast :]
Another flat surface, another relaxing space <3
I think graphs are about as high as high art gets to most Euclideans.
I've touched on shadows before, and for good reason; truly they must be something borderline magical to the Euclidean and perhaps bitterly nostalgic.
This one kinda speaks for itself. Dweeb.
🎨 The Artsy Stuff
Lately I've been trying to find ways to fit more color into my work, as color is perhaps one of my favorite things in the world. My wardrobe is rather garish; my dad jokes that you could see me from space. My fursona is obnoxiously bright for a reason -- I feel my soul is a very colorful one!
I also realized recently that I don't actually know the exact style that speaks to me. I could talk about the phenomenon of the "style crisis" that many artists have all day, but in my mind the best cure for this feeling is to go against it entirely and begin stealing as much as possible.
So, I've tried to keep an eye out for more sources of inspiration everywhere I go, physical and digital. I've tried to train my mind into making a habit of considering, "can I do anything with this?" everywhere I go, and it recently paid off!
The glittery rainbowy texture you see plastered all over Billiam is this one, a photo-manipulated set of fruit stickers. I must confess I've been obsessed with this image for the past 72 hours, and this seemed like a good excuse to try it out!
I worried throughout the process if it might be so abstract that it loops back around to being horribly deliberate, if that makes sense -- like each sparkle was not a piece of a whole but rather an object in itself -- but it seems like that hasn't been a problem, so I'm grateful for that :Dc
I hope it can dazzle and delight you as it does me, but as long as you find it fascinating at the very least then I consider it a success! I really enjoyed hearing my friends' interpretations while workshopping it, and got tons of amazing answers from opal to kaleidoscope to fossilized bone marrow! I truly believe that the best art has some room for interpretation and it really excites me to be surrounded by that kind of creative energy that follows said pieces. That definitely adds to my pride in this work. It's weird, it's colorful, it's detailed and yet ambiguous. I'm feeling pretty autistic about it
Alright, I think that's about it. Thanks for listening!
#digital art#gravity falls#fan art#bill cipher#artists on tumblr#posting this and running! not returning to social media until my book is here and read front-to-back >:Dc#this may age terribly or it may not...i'm inclined to think it may not. bill's a flatass he already basically said as much#i use the term “flatland(er)” as a placeholder; he's not literally from the same universe as the book Flatland#...probably 👀#EDIT: YEP. words have been changed!

Hey Tobias, aside from your incredible artworks themselves, I also absolutely love the detailed abstract backgrounds you sometimes put on portraits and I've been wanting to try my hand at something in the same vain. I was considering trying Illustrator for those, since I normally use CSP and while I love it, it kinda feels pretty horrible at anything geometrical and shape-y, so I was also wondering what software you use for them if you'd like to share!
oH you mean like the geometric shapes in these?
that is 1000% Clip Studio Paint. I use it for, quite literally, all of my work. Pixel art, illustrations, animations - it's all Clip.
The upper backgrounds of those pieces are done using the Symmetrical Ruler and Shape tools, as well as maybe a brush or two for flair.
The Symmetrical Ruler is under the Ruler tool:
it lets you draw symmetrically on the canvas like this [the purple line appears so you know where your mirrors meet]
note: sometimes your brush needs to have snapping enabled to work with a ruler tool - especially if you're using a fancy custom brush from the assets shop.
you can fix this by going into your brush's settings [clicking the little wrench on your selected brush] and then toggle on Enable Snapping under the Corrections section:
Regarding the Shapes tool,
It's technically called the Figure tool but I'm calling it the Shapes tool. For those unfamiliar, Clip doesn't come with preset shapes beyond your standard lines, rectangles, and circles; BUT you can easily create your own triangles and hexagons and whatnot with the Polygon subtool.
Change the number of corners to that of the shape you want and tada! SHAPE. The number of corners can go up to 32 - at which point you're essentially just making a vaguely chunky circle so I mean, have fun.
I'm gonna pause here because this post is already getting a bit long, but if there's somethin specific you want me to elaborate on feel free to ask.

Symmetrically / Different
[ID: Art of Iris and Dahlia Hawthorne, identical twins. The canvas is perfectly symmetrical, everything the same but flipped on the left side of it. The right side is Dahlia Hawthorne, smiling at Iris while back to back with her sister. The backs of their heads pressed against each other as they lean against the other. Dahlias hair is a lighter ginger, her skin tone ever slightly more warm and she has a mole under her right eye. There is a giant green magatama behind her head, the left side of it slightly covered by the side of her face. The magatama bleeds the same red as the bright red canvas background. Underneath the magatama, there are three neonish green, magatama colour matching, diamond shapes with Dahlias lace dress pattern in them. Two of the diamonds are cut off by the screen. Above the magatama, in the corner, there's more triangles and diamond shape patterns in reds and greens. Towards the middle of the canvas, there's a swirling green coloured to match the magatama, and a red like the blood, love heart that curls in the middle. Iris' side is the same as Dahlias, but flipped. Her expression is upset as she looks at her sister, with pushed in brows and a slight frown. Her hair is more artificially red with dark roots, her mole just below her mouth on the left of her face, and her torso is very slightly thicker than her twins. The poison heart shaped necklace is chained around the two twins, keeping them stuck leaning against each other. The necklace faintly glows, leaking symmetrical tears that turn into blood. /end ID]

The Platonic Solids

Tetrahedron, hexahedron (cube), octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron-are central to sacred geometry and spiritually embody balance and symmetry. Each solid is linked to the classical elements- Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Ether- highlighting the interconnectedness of the Universe. These shapes represent more than mere mathematical interest; they symbolize the fundamental principals that orchestrate the Universe. There are profound meanings attributed to the Platonic solids within sacred geometry and spirituality.
History And Origins
• Ancient Greece-The birthplace of the Platonic solids: The exploration of sacred geometry can be traced back to the influential mathematician Pythagoras (570-495BC). His school of thought laid the foundations for later philosophers to build upon. However, it was the renowned Greek philosopher Plato (427-347BC) who popularized the term "Platonic solids". Although he was not the first to study these shapes, his work was pivotal in their widespread recognition. In his masterpiece 'Timaeus', Plato assigned each soldid to one of the four classical elements, Fire (tetrahedron), Earth (hexahedron), Air (Octahedron), and Water (icosahedron). In later interpretations and writings the fifth Platonic solid, the dodecahedron, was associated with the element of Ether (also called Quintessence or Spirit).
• Euclid's Elements: One cannot discuss the history of Platonic solids without mentioning Euclid (~300BC), known as the Father of Geometry. His groundbreaking work 'Elements' outlined rigorous proofs for each solid shape's properties, forever cementing their place in mathematics. These expanded our knowledge of Platonic solids and helped establish a solid foundation in mathematics for future generations.
• Archimedes' Influence: Although not directly related to Platonic solids, Archimedes (~287-212BC) expanded upon their concepts by discovering thirteen semi-regular shapes known as the Archimedean solids. These are a collection of thirteen shapes which share certain characteristics with the Platonic solids. This work demonstrated that geometric principles extended beyond the five Platonic solids, further enriching our understanding of sacred geometry.

Unique Characteristics
The five Platonic solids have distinct characteristics that define them, making them the cornerstone of sacred geometry. The key defining features are:
• All faces are congruent regular polygons (equalateral triangles, squares, or pentagons).
• Each vertex (corner) connects and equal number of edges.
• They are symmetrical structures- rotation of reflection can interchange any two vertices.
These attributes result in only five possible shapes that meet these criteria: tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. Each solid has its unique symbolism and spiritual significance that has been recognized across various cultures and ancient traditions.
The Tetrahedron
The tetrahedron, also known as a triangular pyramid, is the simplest of the Platonic solids. It represents embodying the principles of energy, passion, and transformation and the chaos of Fire.

• Geometric properties: The tetrahedron has four vertices, six edges, and four faces, all of which are equalateral triangles. It's the only Platonic solid that does not have parallel faces, giving it a sense of directionality and movement.
• Associated element: Fire
• Associated chakra: Solar Plexus
• Spiritual meaning: The tetrahedron is associated with personal power, creativity, and the drive for change. It symbolizes the dynamic and transformative nature of fire, representing the ability to purify, illuminate and transmute.
• Uses: The tetrahedron is used for focusing intentions, manifesting desires, facilitating personal transformation. It is also employed in meditation and energy work to enhance one's inner fire and to promote balance and harmony within the self.
The Hexahedron
The hexahedron, commonly known as a cube, represents the element of Earth in the Platonic solids. It symbolizes stability, solidity, and groundedness.

Note
oh my lord I’ve followed you for quite some time, and I feel like this might be too much to ask and rude, but do you have a Thanatos design? He’s one of my favorites.
very late response, but don't worry that's not rude haha!
yea here's my design for the boy
I feel like Thanatos being associated with butterflies is such an underrated trait, so that's the main thing I was aiming for here. In my mind he would always have these shadow butterflies flying around him, kinda announcing his presence.
Other than that I tried giving him triangular shapes but without making them too sharp. Sharpness conveys danger and evil, and that's not my intention here. He has a peaceful but still scary aura, so the triangles are very subtle and he's very symmetrical.
Overall I really liked designing him. My favorite thing is his skeleton face and how the details and colors draw your attention to it straight away.
